⏩ Should You Leave America? Life on a Sinking Ship | Karel Cast 25-115

America feels more divided and unstable than ever. With politics in chaos and leadership failing to unite, many are asking: is it time to leave the USA? Becoming an expat may not be as impossible as it sounds — jobs, communities, and opportunities exist around the world. So what’s really stopping you from getting off a sinking ship?

In today’s Karel Cast, we explore the growing conversation about leaving America, what holds people back, and what new countries might offer. Plus — a look at local politics gone wrong: why is Las Vegas building four new baseball diamonds right next to four empty ones? Speaker 1 (00:00):
Show time is here. No time to fear. Corilla is
so near because show time is here. So on with
the show. Let's give it a go.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Corilla is the one that you need to know. Now.
It's show side.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Hello, Possum.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I think we can all agree the ship is thinking,
So why aren't you leaving it?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
It's a real question.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Also, are you paying attention to what's going on in
your community?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
You should be because you may not like it.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
All of that today and March Uncensored, Unfiltered, fun hinged.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
It's the corell Cast.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
Listen daily on your favorite streaming services.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
And good Wednesday mornings. So glad you're joining me.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
So on behind me, if you can see here behind me,
there are four baseball diamonds being constructed at the cost
of millions of dollars. I'm quite sure. And I want
to talk a little bit about this morning. First thing,
things going on in your community that you kind of
just don't understand. And I'd love to hear your comments

(01:26):
on the side here during the live comments because I'm
monitoring those, or leave them down below, because we tend
to get focused on what's going on nationally. You know,
the latest diarrhea to come out of Donald Trump's mouth
or whatever. But really we should be looking at our
own community, because there's a lot going on in our

(01:47):
communities that sort of make me wonder why, you know,
what's going on? So I am walking in a park
that already has four baseball diamonds. You can see them
over here behind me, Okay, they're over there, And those
four baseball diamonds that we have, the existing ones are

(02:09):
seldomly used.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I mean, there's no one in them right now.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Take a look there you go, And so they are
seldomly used. And yet this county, in its infinite wisdom,
felt we needed four more for a total of eight
baseball diamonds when we have four that aren't used.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
And there's a bathroom right over here.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
You'll be able to see it in just a second,
which they're building new bathrooms over there, but there's a
bathroom right down there, if you'll see, and that I
don't know if it'd blurred or what, but there's a
bathroom there. And they're a mess. They're an absolute mess.
And so we have this spending millions of dollars over

(02:56):
here for four baseball diamonds we do not need, and
new bathrooms that they're not gonna, you know, keep they're
not going to keep them nice. And you got to
wonder why. And more importantly, when were the meetings about this.
I didn't get a memo, you know, a good morning.
I never got anything, you know, in my mailbox saying

(03:20):
come and voice your opinion about whether we should spend
millions of dollars. And right here in this park where
I am walking, I could show you homeless people as
we speak. I just passed a lady who's homeless in
her car and she has a cat named Carmel Latte
who we pet every morning, and I feel so bad
for her and her cat. You know, why is she

(03:40):
in her car with her cat, Carmel Latte? And yet
you know, we're spending millions right there to build things
that we have right here which are empty all the time.
And so a lot of times we focus and I
think it's almost intentional that they get us to focus

(04:02):
on these national issues when locally there's so much more
going on, so much that we should be paying attention
to locally, because that's our money. You know, I pay
taxes here in Las Vegas. I am a homeowner, and
part of my taxes are going to pay for these
four baseball diamonds that we neither need nor want. No

(04:25):
one in this neighborhood wants more lights, more noise.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
They just built an.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Event center right over there where Pride is going to be,
and when the events are going it is so loud.
No one asked us about that either. So I think
one of the ways to stay sane is to watch
your little girl here in the parks been on her back.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
We should all be that happy.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
But also we start, we need to start focusing more
close to home.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
You know, Trump and Congress and all of that.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah, I mean it's good to stay informed, but we
can't do much about that. We can affect change in
our municipalities.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
I would have.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Gone down and told them not to build this thing,
and I would have rallied people to tell them not
to build this thing if I had known there were meetings,
if I had known that it was on the agenda,
if I had known they were going to spend a fortune.
So one of my things I want to start doing
on the show is looking more locally, and I want
you to bring up the issues. So tell me down

(05:33):
below what's going on in your city that you kind
of just don't understand it. I'd like to know. We'll
be right back and don't forget. The show needs your

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Show Time is here, No time to Corell is so
near because show time is here.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
So on with the show.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Let's give it a go. Corell is the one that
you need to know.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
So I want you all to look over there at
those buildings. Okay, those buildings are approximately two hundred yards
or six hundred feet away. The bowl here is about
one and a half football fields.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Okay, so let me zoom in.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
So over there on that rooftop, I want you to
imagine someone on that rooftop, and then I want you
to imagine someone making that shot right there from the rooftop. Okay,
So there's the rooftop about six hundred feet away and

(07:11):
here is what six hundred feet or two hundred yards
looks like. That is why I'm telling you, with every
ounce of fiber in me, I do not believe the
narrative that is going around.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I simply don't believe it because of this distance.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Because look behind me, that's a long way. And I
know I said I didn't want to talk about this
and didn't want to talk about Charlie Kirk and all that,
but it's a long long way, okay, And so because
it's such a long way, I don't believe the narrative
that's happening.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
But the problem becomes the sly this part of the problem.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
The problem becomes when you have so many people adhering
to a narrative, people believe it as fat If it's
repeated enough, people believe it as fact, and people believe
as fact that's some twenty two year old, you know,
made that shot. Now, granted, his parents were totally into guns,

(08:14):
a Christian conservative father into guns. I mean, he's like
every other mass shooter in the country, white male, Christian Conservative,
raised by Republicans.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
But it's just not possible.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
It's that shot, isn't I don't want to say an
impossible shot because somebody made it, but it you know.
So the narrative is what bothers me and how they
stick to it.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
No matter what.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
You ever have people in your life other than Maga,
I mean with people who, no matter what, they stick
to their.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Narrative, they're not going to change their mind.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Even if you present facts, you present evidence, it doesn't matter.
They're not going to change their mind. Well, Maga's not
going to change their mind. This twenty two year old
did it. None of them have gone out and measured
six hundred you know, two hundred yards or six hundred feet.
None of them have really thought about, well, geez, how
far is that?

Speaker 3 (09:09):
You know? Could he really have made that shot with
a single bulletime?

Speaker 4 (09:12):
They don't think because that's critical thinking, okay, And they
don't think critically, so of course they're not going to say, oh, well,
let me think about that.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
They don't think about anything.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
They go with the narrative that's presented to them, and
the narrative presented to them right after this happened was
this guy did it.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
He's a leftist, he's a.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Trans lover, and that's that when most of that isn't true,
but truth doesn't matter in America anymore. It doesn't truth
does not matter in America anymore. The truth is what
the echo chambers says it is. And that's really sad, because,
like you, I like the truth. You know, even the

(09:54):
hard truth, even the Jack Nicholson you can't handle the truth.
I like that as opposed to what we have today.
So you know, I'm walking by the way across the
area to show you how far to keep track behind
me where we were.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
We were up there on that hill. Now we're down
in the bowl.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
The bowl is basically one and a half football fields
across at in the street over there, and you've got
your two football fields, and so you know, it's just
amazing to me the narrative. Now, let me talk to you,
talk you. Let me talk to you about something more fun.

(10:40):
Like many of you, I am thinking of leaving America.
And if you're even remotely thinking about it, you have
to put certain things into motion, no matter how ridiculous
the idea you have. In order for it to happen,
you have to put you know, law of motion.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
You have to start.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
So the first thing I've done this morning is twofold.
I have asked my doctors, cardiologists, neurologists, et cetera, via email,
if they believe that I am healthy enough to live
outside of the United States, If they had a growing
aorta paroximal atrial fibrillation, which is what I have, what

(11:23):
do you reckon it? I have a growing aorda. I
have paroximal atrial fibrillation.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
So I have a rhythm.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Disorder in my heart and a growing aorda and then neurologically,
of course.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
My back and necker screwed up. So would they feel.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Comfortable with me living outside the US as long as
I came back once a year for checkups and the
like and had my doctors there wherever I end up
liaisoning with them.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
That's the first thing.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Then the second thing I've done is find out what
is important to you in your way of American life?
Have you ever really asked yourself like, what is important
to you in your way of American life? For me,
there's a couple things. Cannabis policy. I'm not giving up
edibles at night, but there are fourteen countries.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
With legal cannabis.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Now you can't be a tourist and have it be legal,
but if you live there, you can get legal cannabis.
So there are fourteen countries to choose from, including Portugal, Amsterdam, Uruguay, Canada.
Second of all, for me, it's this down here right there.

(12:37):
For me, I have to have a service dog policy
because Amber has spent ten years going everywhere with me
because I need her medically and I'm not going to
move to a place that won't allow that. Now, there
are more cannabis countries than there are service dog countries.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
So Uruguay good service.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Dog policy, a policy pretty much like the United States.
The UK, they have a robust service dog policy there.
But I did find out yesterday that the UK is
suffering the effects of climate change twenty percent worse than
the rest of the world.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
That's something to consider.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
So for me, two of the things, you know, well,
the three things. First of all, affordability. Can I afford
the country because I've moved to Vancouver tomorrow if I
could afford to live in the Gay district, So affordability,
health what is their healthcare system like?

Speaker 3 (13:34):
And do my doctors think I should go? And then cannabis.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Policy, service dog policy, and the availability of vegan food, fruits,
vegetables and restaurants that have vegan alternatives, so those in
a gay community. It has to have a thriving gay community.
So that's my list. What's yours. I'd love to hear

(13:59):
from you in the chain or in the comments down below,
if you were to outline the things in America that
you deem most important, because those are the things that
you'd want in another country.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
What are they?

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I mean, I can go down the list. I want
an informed populace. I don't want the ignorance that's here
in the United States, you know. I want a sense
of fairness where even if there are I know there
are two sides in every country. Now there's a right wing,
I get it, but I want the left to be
dealing with the right and the right to be dealing

(14:34):
with the left so they reach compromise.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
So what is on your list? I mean?

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I know Americans often don't think about it, but you
know what they say, you don't miss something until it's gone. Well,
what do you you know? What is it that you
won't accept as being gone? In other words, I can
move to the Philippines or to you know, Vietnam or
Thailand and live like a king and on my even

(15:01):
on like two grand a month, just my sag after
a pension, you know.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
But I looked at.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Those countries and their systems are just too different than
the systems here. So I'm like, no, you know, I
don't want to forfeit my way of life. So what
are key elements to your way of life in America
that you don't want to give up? Should you go
someplace else? Or that are the reasons you stay here?

(15:30):
You know? Some of you say, well, Curl, I can't
leave because in other countries I couldn't do X, Y
or z. So what are what are some of those
things I would love to hear from you.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Mine are economy? First of all, can I afford it?

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I don't want to move somewhere and be in poverty,
you know, like abject poverty, numbered like Paris.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I mean in Paris, I couldn't.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Afford a closet basically, and god knows, I came out
of those a long time ago. So first is the economy, Second,
a gay community, third, and pro gay policies in their country,
same sex marriage being all By the way, we have
now reached the other side.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
As you can see, there's the building.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
It took that long to walk across that's how far
six hundred feet is, so before you buy into the hole,
Oh it wasn't that far, it's far okay. So for me, economy,
gay community, vegan food, cannabis, and service dog policy, those

(16:41):
are and what you know?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Weather?

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Of course, I wouldn't be looking at these cities if
they wasn't weather that, you know.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
I mean, that's why I'm a little life about Canada.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
I've lived in Sunshine for fifty two years of my life.
Well even before that, my parents we we lived in
Florida and Texas, So I've lived in sun So what
factors play into whether or not I promise not to
spit at you again? Play into whether or not you
would leave the United States? And if you were to

(17:12):
leave the United States, what are non negotiable things that
you must have wherever you go? Okay, Like, like I've
just outlined a thriving gay community and economy. I can
afford a service dog policy, a cannabis policy, access to fruits,
vegetables and vegan food, vegan restaurants, walk ability when I move.

(17:35):
I don't want to have to have a car. I
want to have a motorcycle. And that's it, you know.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
I don't. I want to be able to walk to
wherever I go?

Speaker 4 (17:43):
So is there another country that has what you need?
Or perhaps another state or city. I have friends moving
to Portland. They said, why don't you, you know, move
to Portland. So, you know, let's see where we're at
on the timer. Okay, we got about three minutes. Show timer,

(18:09):
Show timer. See how bad the new update is? Apple updated? Okay,
so while we're in this segment, and as we'll talk
about this, Apple updated all of their iOS yesterday iOS
twenty six.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
It's called and the new iOS is not.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Cooperating with me today. That's why you hear me talking
to my devices. Things are just quitting, you know. It
shouldn't be quitting that sort of stuff. So what are
non negotiable items for you? When it comes to well,
I want to leave the United States, but I can't
find any place with x y Z.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Malta was just voted. You know, what are the great
places to be? I looked at Malta. It's an island
off of Italy.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
And there again they're policies, service dog policy, stop rolling
in a dead bird. There's service that could be a
T shirt. Don't roll in dead birds. Their service dog
policy there. Cannabis. They do have legal cannabis there, but
you have to be a resident, which is okay. They
have a great hospital on the island and then if

(19:17):
you need more you can be flown.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Over to Italy, so that you know.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
But I did look at Malta because I thought, well,
it's been voted, you know, top ranking, and I thought Malta, like,
what would I be doing there? A good gay policy?
I mean, it's not off the list totally. I need
to go there. So down below or in the comments,
please tell me what are some deal breakers? Like I

(19:45):
can't leave because why can't you go? I'd like to
truly hear from you.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
So I'm out of breath. I just climbed a hill.
Good morning, but he'll take it out of me this morning.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
So yes, what are some of the deal breakers or
some of your reasons?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
A lot of you are with me. You're like, I
don't want to be here anymore. Corel. Well then why
aren't you leaving? For real? Let's have an honest conversation
about it.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Not in the ether, let's talk. Why are you still here?
Is it finances? Because you can find countries to live
off what you're getting right now.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
I guarantee it.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
You know, if you're on a pension social security Panama,
you only have to show one thousand dollars a month
and you can live on one thousand.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Dollars a month in Panama. So why are you here?

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Most of you, it'll be because you truly don't want
to leave, because secretly you hope the midterms are better,
or you think I can.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Last the three years or whatever. But for some of you,
you're like, no I could. Oh, good morning, high whiskey,
hy randy, You're like, no, I could do it.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Well, if you really are thinking of doing it, what
are some of the deal breaking items? Or if you're not,
why not? Why why aren't you thinking of leaving this country?
Let's have an open debate about this, because we talk
every day about how it's just not getting better.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
So why aren't you thinking of going? Let's walk and
don't forget.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
The show needs your support at patreon dot com.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Forward slash really correls.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
That's patreon dot com, forward slash really corrals and chat.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
With me live every day at YouTube dot com. Forward
slash really corrals.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
So I want you subspash No, it's show side, all right,

(21:59):
So things I want you to think about on today's show.
First of all, oh, good luck at the doctor, colonel.
First of all, I want you to tell me what's
going on in your local town that you just don't
get that You wonder like, why is my city or
county spending money on this? For me, it's these baseball diamonds.
I don't get it. There's four baseball diamonds that no

(22:21):
one uses. They're building four new ones and that's going
to be eight, you know, and they don't take care
of the ones they've got. The bathrooms are a sham,
you know, a sham. Meanwhile, in Vegas they're constructing on
every single road, and yet it seems like as sinis
they're done, the roads tore up again. Why aren't they
using better products, more technology? Why are we building roads

(22:43):
like the nineteen tens? You know, I don't understand. So
I want to know some things that are going on
in your community that you.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Just don't get.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
You don't understand why your city is doing that, because
I want us to be more involved in our local communities.
The second thing is the opposite end of that. If
you really are like me and you are ready to
go what are the deal breakers in the chat room.
There's so many people thriving art scene, good medical service,

(23:13):
ocean or mountains nearby, good healthy food choices. That's from
Ray Renati James Schnabel. Let's see Portland has outstanding via hospital. Yes,
I guess it does. Let's see Malta. I've heard good
things about Malta. A lot of people are saying affordability.

(23:34):
You know that they need affordability, and so affordability and
climate seem to be two of the top deal breakers.
What why are you staying? I need because I need
to make some decisions about my life, and I need
help making those decisions. Maybe you all can talk me

(23:56):
into staying. Maybe you could say, hey, move to Portland, Correl,
You'll I get there. It's a blue state, it's a
blue community. There's lots of gay people. It doesn't have
the heat of Las Vegas. You already have a friend
moving there. Try Portland before you leave America. Maybe you
all can talk me into an American city that I'll
be happy in. But with Trump every day, the ridiculousness.

(24:19):
Now he's over in London spreading ridiculousness. You know, wonderfull
he's seeing Prince Andrew, who you know, used to be
an Epstein client as well. So for me, I'm pretty
much looking going. It ain't gonna get better for the
next three years. It's gonna get worse and I can't
take it. So even if I don't leave for good
forever for the next three years, I think I'd like

(24:42):
to watch from the sidelines.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
What about you? What about you?

Speaker 4 (24:49):
So for me, a gay community, affordability, good weather, a
service dog policy, and the ability to consume cannabis. Those
are all and of course healthcare, I mean healthcare is
really number one. You know. Affordability and healthcare kind of
go hand in hand. And there are countries that fill
most of these checkboxes. Uruguay, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Canada. You know,

(25:19):
there are countries that fill these checkboxes. I can't live
where I want to in these countries. I can't live
in Vancouver, but I can live outside of Vancouver in Richmond.
I can't live in Lisbon per se, but I can
live a little bit outside of Lisbon. So what are

(25:39):
your deal breakers or why are you staying? I really
need to know why you're staying, and I'd love to
hear in the chat room, Why are you staying? We
know it's hard, and don't tell me it's money. People
in World War two fled with the shirts on their backs.
You can survive in another country whatever you're making here,

(26:02):
and there are jobs in other countries. You could get
a job in another country. So why are you staying
in this country? Given that we know where it's headed.
It is headed to be a complete autocratic society, a dictatorship.
So why are you staying? If we know, do you

(26:24):
not believe it? In your heart of hearts? Do you
not believe that it's going to be an autocracy because
it's one right now. Do you think it's going to
get better? Do you think the midterms aren't going to
be rigged for Donald Trump and that somehow Democrats who
have the lowest poll numbers in the world right now,
will actually win. Why are you saying staying here? You

(26:49):
know why?

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Let's see what the chat room is saying. Family.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Okay, that's you know a big thing. I have aging parents.
I can't leave my aging parents. My friend David and Toby,
they would go with me, but his mom is ninety
two and he can't leave her. That's valid. You know
why can't you leave? I'd love to hear Please comment

(27:18):
down below these videos. I am not getting in the
algorithm because most Someone noted the other day one of
my videos got twelve hundred views but only twelve comments.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
That's not good. I need you all to comment below.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
The videos at YouTube dot com forward slash Really, Carrell, Look,
I am playing here, I'm doing a real show. So
how about you help comment below.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
The video engage with people.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
This is a great topic. Liberals have been complaining about
America since Donald Trump? So why aren't you leaving? What
are your reasons? Mine would be medical if my doctors
say I can't go, Oh, I can't go. The other
would be service animal. If Ember's not welcome, I'm not going.

(28:07):
The third would be pot if I can't have my
evening edibles, not going because I'm not gonna take a
prescription drug to sleep. The other a robust healthcare system.
If there's not a hospital that can handle, like if
my order burst or something, I need a trauma center.
I need to live near an ember a vet. I

(28:27):
need a place that has twenty four hour veterinarian service
in case she has an emergency. There are places in
the world with all of these things, and I'm looking
for them right now.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
So why aren't you looking?

Speaker 4 (28:41):
Why are you complacent to sit on a ship you
actually think is sinking? Either you have the courage of
your convictions or you don't, or are you content to
go down with it? And I mean that, are you like, Well,
it's my country. I'm just gonna ride out whatever happens.

(29:01):
I'm gonna write it out. I need to know why
so many smart people are content to stay in America
right now.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
I do.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Phineas has cancer. I get that. I understand. If you
have good health care here, you need to keep it.
So comment down below. I'd love to read your comments tomorrow.
I am Corelde. Who you want to be something? Hear?

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Anybody?

Speaker 4 (29:27):
I really want to read your comments tomorrow. Okay, so
let's read those. Let's figure it out. I have two
adult children that still need our help.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
You can help them from Europe.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Yeah, and maybe I'll try Portland first. Maybe I'll try
it from them.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
