The Real Enemy of the People? Congress Exposed | Karel Cast 25-109

From Roe v. Wade to Gay Marriage, our rights are hanging by a thread — and the real culprit isn’t just the Supreme Court or Donald Trump… it’s Congress. In this fiery episode of The Karel Cast, we break down how decades of Congressional inaction have allowed our rights to be stripped, our climate to collapse, and our democracy to erode.
Why didn’t Congress codify Roe v. Wade? Why didn’t they protect marriage equality? Why are budgets unbalanced, and why is the climate crisis ignored? Presidents come and go — but Congress’ dysfunction is the constant enemy of progress.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
No time to fear. Corilla is so near because show
time is here. So on with the show. Let's give
it a go.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Carrilla is the one.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
That you need to know. Now is show sign.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
All right in just sixty seconds. The most fabulous I mean,
he's really something the best, most fabulous host will be here.
He just tells the truth all the time, Bigley, and
he's funny, this guy.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Have you heard him.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Yeah, he's funny and smart, smart and funny, not like
those nasty people on lamestream media. So don't go anywhere.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
He's almost here.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
I know he doesn't speak well of me, and that's
okay because I mean, he's really quite fabulous show.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Given the goings on in today's world, it's very easy
to see who is public enemy number one, and it's
not who you think. I'm going to say. We're gonna
talk about that, and also why I've officially had enough
with the United States of America. We're gonna talk about
that decision.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Uncensored, unfiltered, un hinged. It's the Curel Cast. Listen daily
on your favorite streaming service.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It is the Crall Cast. I am Carrel so very
glad you are joining me. Well, I guess the fix
they gave me from wire Stream for the strobe light
effect did not work, so just bear with it. Today
we've got tech people working on it, so glad you're
joining me. I'm running late because of the heat, literally
because of the heat Ember and I had to take
time outs at the park and so here I am late,

(01:56):
but I will tell you this. I'm enjoying my chocolate
velvetie in the hotel chocolate velvetizer that I bought myself
for Christmas. It's very good. That is eight ounces of
freshly made almond milk, a tablespoon of cocoa nibs, and
then which is just powdered cocoa, but it's called cocoa nibs,

(02:19):
and the squirt of agave, all in the velvetizer. And
then I stopped at good old pink Up pink Box
and got a blueberry fritter. Cut it into six pieces
because that's all you should have. And over the next
six days I'll be having the blueberry fritter. Some people
eat those all at once. That's like six servings. Okay,

(02:42):
if I'm sveedsing, it's not sveedcing. It's the after the
shower sweat that you get because I literally just showered
about eight minutes ago, literally just got out of the shower.
That's how late I was. Because of the heat. Already,
it's in the high nineties. We have a high heat warning.
It's going to be one hundred and fourteen today. That's
one hundred and fourteen to you and me. So yeah,

(03:05):
that's what's going on. Also, welcome to everyone at YouTube
dot com, Forward Slash, really Carrell but Beta hey By
Beeta Michigan, Rob, Sandy Babeta. I am so sorry. I
know you know David and Toby's roommate, former roommate who
passed away. Least I think you know him. I believe
you know him, and so I'm so sorry for your loss.

(03:26):
David told me this morning glioblastoma. That's the second person
I had never heard of this cancer before in my
life ever, glioblastoma multiform, And now I know two people
who have died from it, Daniel Charleston's mother, and that
loss made him turn to ketamine, which ended up killing him.

(03:47):
So I really know three people who have died of glioblastoma,
two with the tumor and one family member who just
couldn't take it. And so I'm sorry about that bad beta.
So sorry, all right, do I want to start with
the angry part, because you know I almost almost yes, Anthony,
I didn't want to say his name on air, but
you put it in the chat room. So yeah, it's

(04:07):
so sad about Anthony. And David told me something very
powerful this morning. So last week they found out their
friend had leoblastoma and wasn't doing well, and they were
taking video messages for the friend, and uh, David and
Toby wanted to do one, and so they they took
the weekend to you know, gather up what they wanted
to say and do, and then they were going to

(04:28):
record it and he died. And so David was like,
you know, Corel, I know where you are personally right now,
and you can't procrastinate. You know, we need to learn
from the people we have lost and lost way too
early about procrastination. It really is true. You only have

(04:50):
now this moment. Now. I worry a lot about my health,
as you all know, and that's mainly because the shingles
vaccine ruined my life and I can't get any money.
If I could get money from Glaxo Smith Klein for
the horror they caused me with their vaccine. My life
would be so much better. But every day now I
worry about a neurological disease being caused by that vaccine,

(05:13):
because I still have muscle twitches. And then there's various
days where different parts of my bodies feel differently. This morning,
it's my right leg from my knee down. It feels odd.
Is it ALS? Is it MS? Is it just my back?
I wouldn't have to worry about that if the shingles
vaccine hadn't messed with me. So I worry about it anyway.

(05:38):
I'm angry, and I almost didn't want to do a
show today. Now I'm not angry at Trump dictating in DC.
We know the man's a dictator and he has taken
over Washington, DC as his own private domain. The murder
rate is down in Washington, d C. The crime rate

(05:59):
is down, and so him activating the National Guard based
on rising crime is not only wrong but illegal. But
no one cares because no one in this country has
the balls to stop that man. And we'll get to
that anger about that and who it is that should
be stopping him and why they are public enemy number

(06:20):
one for not and not just for stopping not stopping him,
but historically not doing much of anything. We'll get to
that in the next couple segments, but in this segment,
I wanted to say, God, this is kind of emotional
for me because last night, in this morning, I've reached

(06:42):
my limit, and I really do need to start a
gofund me to do a show about relocating from America
to another country. I need to turn it into a show,
and I need to raise money for that show and
leave America because I am sick to fuggin death of

(07:06):
and yes I said fuggin because you can get away
with that. I am sick to fugin death about my
existence and the existence of such beautiful people that are
members of the LGBTQ community, always being under attack for
sixty two years. There has never been a time in

(07:28):
this country where or most of the world where me
and the people like me have been haven't been under
attack by the government. Now, this fat cow of a beast,
I'm not even gonna say her name, but she was
the one who refused to issue marriage licenses and then

(07:49):
refused to do ceremonies once it was legal she got
sued and she lost, and she's responsible for paying a
lot of money. Well, she has appealed that to the
States or to the US Supreme Court, and she's got
the help of majorly funded right wing organizations because they
see this as their chance to repeal and overturn same

(08:12):
sex marriage. And there is a very real chance that
later in this year gays and lesbians which have a
seventy six percent approval rating, not that I freakin care
about what America thinks, but it is overwhelmingly for same
sex marriage. It doesn't matter. It's part of Project twenty

(08:34):
twenty five. These evil religious evangelical zealots who wouldn't know
God if he slapped them in the face, These evil sinners,
these evil maga people, and that's what they are. Maga
is evil. You know, it's it's time we just take
the gloves off. And that's a powerful word. Yesterday I
was walking by the pool and two nine year olds

(08:54):
were yelling at each other and the girl was calling
the boy trash and he was calling her evil. And
I stop them. I said, whoa, those are powerful words.
You need to hold on there, and their father got
up and got well, the boy's father, African American, got
up and got in my feet. What are you talking about, kid?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
For what?

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Well? Your kid's calling that girl evil and she's calling
him trash, And I thought someone should step in. Nah, man,
they're friends, they're fine, They're not fine. It's not fine
for a nine year old to call another nine year
old evil and trash. Those are powerful words. This woman

(09:31):
on the way of the Supreme Court evil, maga, evil, evil,
horrible people. And now they want to overturn MC gay marriage.
Why just because they're evil. There's no reason the country
is for it. It's been legal for ten years. There's
been no issues with it whatsoever. There is no reason
to go back and mess with that legislation except their

(09:54):
fucking evil, evil people, hateful, spiteful, disgusting who use the
name of their Lord to do evil. And I'm tired
of it. I am sick of living in a country
that indulges these people. These people need to be put
down like rabid dogs. They need to be ignored, their

(10:18):
votes need to not matter, they need to be silent,
not given platforms. And I'm tired. I'm tired of it.
I don't want my life to be filled with them
or the Our America. I don't want to support the
Corell cast, then like and subscribe the YouTube videos at

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Hello, Hello to Rachel Kapper and James Schnabel and Phineas
and Babetta and Sandy and everyone in the chatroom at
YouTube dot com forward slash Arly Correll. There's no issue
with gay marriage. There's no reason for it to go
back to the Supreme Court except evil. That's it. That's
the only reason, evil bigotry. There's no reason to pick

(11:35):
on trans people. They're not a problem. There's no reason
to be banning them. They're not a problem. It's all
a distraction from the felon, the rapist, the horrible person
in charge, and the evil people that follow him. You
won't be hearing from Joe Blow in my chatroom anymore.

(11:57):
By the way. I've banned him. I'm tired of his comments.
I am weary. I am sixty two years old. I
do not want to spend the rest of my life
in a country that continually debates my very friggin existence.
I'm done, as women probably are now that men control

(12:17):
their vaginas. I'm as done as black people probably are.
I'm done. I am sick of it, and I am
sick of this culture allowing these people. And you know
what I'm most sick of Congress. Congress is public enemy
number one. There is no greater danger to the United

(12:38):
States than Congress right now because of their inability to act,
or them bolstering an oligarch and a dictator. But my
entire life, this body has only been useless, but harmless,
harmful to America. Congress hasn't balanced the budget in twelve years.

(13:02):
That's their only job. They haven't done it. Congress left
same sex marriage to the Supreme Court because they're too
friggin cowards to vote on it. Congress left Roe v.
Wade to the Supreme Court because again they're cowards. Congress
left interracial marriage to the Supreme Court because they're cowards.
Congress left segregation of the schools to the Supreme Court

(13:25):
because they're cowards. They are ineffective cowards, all of them.
Nancy Pelosi on down. Oh they yap yap yappa could
talk and do nothing but collect our money, raid our coffers,
and make rules that help them. Congress is the most ineffective,

(13:47):
harmful body to ever infest America. If you want to
save money, get rid of it. It is useless. Just
go to a direct vote. It is pointless to have
this Congress. They do nothing and they get paid millions

(14:07):
to do it. Congress hasn't stopped one thing. Donald Trump
has done, not one thing. They've left it to the courts.
And Democrats will say, well, we're not the majority, we
can't do anything. Then go the fuck home, don't take
any of our money, and go home until after Trump leaves.
If you can't do shit until this man leaves office,

(14:29):
then fucking go home until he's gone. Because I don't
want to pay you to sit there on your ass
and do nothing. Lazy, ineffective, ridiculous career politicians. They all
should go home, all of them, every Democrat and every

(14:49):
Republican in Congress should be sent home, and we should
form a new one where no one is under the
age of thirty or over. The age of seventy period
period and either expand the Supreme Court, which they didn't do.
No Democratic President, Joe Biden, you had four fucking years

(15:10):
you owed s nile fool. What did you do wander
around the White House when you could have been expanding
the Supreme Court to protect us from this? This is
all Congress's fault, all of it. They did not remove
Donald Trump when they had the chance. They did not
punish him after he left office. They were literally attacked

(15:34):
and they did shit about it. So where are we
right back in the dark fucking ages. That's where we
are trying to overturn same sex marriage just to be cruel,
to send a message that gays aren't welcome. Peter Hegsworth,
the head of the Pentagon, reposting a video from a

(15:55):
pastor who should actually be put in jail. This pastor
who says that women shouldn't have the right to vote,
that their husbands should vote in their interest, that they
that their career should be the home, that gaze should
be abolished whatever he means by that, and I know

(16:16):
what he means killed. And the head of the Pentagon
is reposting his video. They both should be taken out
back behind the barn. These people are a blight and
a cancer, and the United States is terminal. And if
you can leave, go go, there's no saving this paltry,

(16:39):
pitiful country. It's always been hateful, it's been hateful to
gaze forever I was watching the Golden Age or the
Gilded Age. They have a gay guy on there, has
to hide, it has to have a lavender marriage where
it's a fake marriage. His lover was killed right in
front of him. He wasn't even allowed to grieve. You've

(17:00):
been hateful to anyone not like white cisgendered power brokers.
And I've seen it my whole life, and I've hoped,
I've hoped. I have hoped and hoped and hoped that
it would change, and it did, little bits here, little
bits there. I hoped and I prayed, Please, can we

(17:26):
just get past all this minutia and start remembering that
we're all Americans? Can we just remember that black, white, brown, gay,
trans female male, we're all Americans. We all have these
inalienable rights. Can we please just get to that point?
And it hasn't been possible in two hundred and forty
nine years, so it's not gonna start. The only way

(17:49):
to save American now is for it to fall. That's it.
It's irredeemable. Donald Trump has proven that American political system
and many Americans are irredeemable. I don't want to be
in a country that acknowledges the South. I don't want
to be in a country that lets people fly a
Confederate flag. I don't want to be in a country

(18:12):
that allows a pastor to say that gay should be
abolished and women shouldn't have the right to vote. I
don't want to be in that country. I don't want
to be around a people that agree with them. I'm done,
and will I leave? I don't think so. I don't
have the money. If I raise money for the show.
If I can raise one hundred and twenty grand, which

(18:34):
is ten grand a month for a year, and have
that for the production budget and go do a show
in multiple countries, then sure. Otherwise I don't know how
I'd do it. I really don't. But I'll tell you this,
I don't want to be here anymore because Congress is
public enemy number one. They have never been a friend

(18:55):
to the people, making us fight over scraps, social security,
this and food stick damn stat they should have tripled
the food stamp program decades ago. They should triple the
payments that people get. Have they seen the price of food?
Of course they fucking haven't. Their servants go buy it
for them. Congress is useless and it is an enemy

(19:18):
of the people. It doesn't help us. Our roads are
falling apart. We don't have universal health care. All the
things that Congress could do for us, it hasn't done.
No matter who the president's been. We want to build
bases on the moon. Trump's taken over DC. What happened

(19:39):
to the Epstein scandal? How do you put a stop
to the fact that he's in there one hundred times?
The court today said you don't need to unseal the transcript.
Everything in the transcript was in Glazane's Maxwell's trials. Let's
go back to the trials. Does anybody do it? No? Why?

(20:00):
Because no one cares that a rapist is running the country,
at least no one in power, certainly no one in

(21:04):
thirty years of support to the loudest, craziest, most unhinged
gig Eye and his little dog. And let's keep the
party going as long as we can. You're right in

(21:26):
the chat room. Nobody stops him. He paved the rose garden,
our rose garden, that's ours. The White House is not
fucking his. He's doing He's guilding the White uh all
around the White House. He's having it done in twenty
four carrot gold. He's cutting food stamps, he's cutting Medicaid,
and he's literally gilding the White House in gold. He

(21:51):
tore up the rose garden. That's not his fucking house.
It's ours. We own the White House. We up people.
It's our house, not his. He is a guest, and
he's not acting like it. Presidents are guests in the

(22:11):
White House. They don't own it. They're not paying rent,
ain't no lease their guest. But is he behaving like one? No,
he's behaving like an Airbnb guest from hell, like a squatter.
And who stops him? Who stopped him? You know, Congress

(22:33):
appropriated the funds. Oh. He says that he's paying for it. Bullshit,
he doesn't have the money. Donald Trump is fucking broke.
You know. All the money he gets from all these scams,
it goes to pay off all his old debt. See.
I didn't want to be this mad at Congress, at him.
I don't want to. I want to live in a
place where I come out and I do a show

(22:53):
about the things that really matter in life and the
United States what matters to us right now? Well, let's
see Donald Trump taking over Washington DC to get rid
of homeless and crime that doesn't exist, ignoring files from
a rapist and a pedophile, which he is both. Well,
he's not a pedophile. He's not a pedophile. He's a

(23:15):
statutory rapist, you know, letting Congress gut our coffers so
billionaires can continue to get rich. I'd love to move
to a country where they don't allow billionaires, where if
there's a person there that becomes a billionaire, they take
all but two hundred million dollars. That's the only way
society will survive period. I've read the book. I'm going

(23:39):
to have the author come on when his book comes
out in September. If we don't cap the wealth of
people at two hundred million dollars, we die. Society dies.
They're already building bunkers. The billionaires and millionaires are already
building for what they They don't waste money, they're building
it because they know the hell escape that they are

(24:00):
and how we won't be able to survive. And what
does Congress do? Nothing? What have they always done? Nothing?
Name five things Congress has done in the last twenty
years that has helped you all. Wait, yeah, nothing? Huh?

(24:22):
And so there comes a point in everyone's life where
they have to say, what am I going to do
about this? And for me, I'm scared to leave America.
I've never I've been around the world ay ai Ai,
trying to find my baby, but I've never lived in
another country. Now, I'm not saying it's bad. I'm not
saying that wouldn't be fun. I'm just saying that I've

(24:45):
never done it, and I'm scared to do it alone
with just little Ember. I'm terrified. I do need health care.
What if their healthcare system isn't good? I you know,
I need a social life, I need all kinds of
things I don't want to have to, you know. But
if I went to California, Let's say, let's say I

(25:07):
went back to California. Let's say somehow I can move
to San Francisco. I don't know how, but let's say
some miracle happened and I found low rent places or something.
Would it still be okay? I mean, same sex marriage
will stay legal in California, Gay rights are legal in California.
Would it be okay to be in a blue state? No,

(25:32):
because there'd still be people around me that are idiots.
Maga They're everywhere, and I just I don't see a future.
There's no future in the United States. There really isn't
unless you are mega wealthy. And then if you're mega wealthy,
you don't live here. Half of the celebrities that have

(25:53):
the money, they don't live here. They come over to
do business, they have a home here, but they don't.
Let Tina Turner moved before she died. Ellen's gone, Rosie's gone, uait,
Taylor Swift will go. I don't blame them. There comes
a point where you just shake your head and you

(26:13):
look at Congress. Ain't gonna change even when it's Democratic
House and Senate. The best we got was Obamacare when
it should have been universal health care. Even when Democrats
are in power, there's not huge sweeping changes made when
they're in power. Did gay rights happen? Nope? Can you

(26:36):
still fire someone for being gay in many states? Yep?
Is gay marriage about to be overturned? Yep? What has
Congress done about it? Not a damn thing, But say
we can't. Oh, we can't. We don't have the votes.
We can't. We don't have this. We can't, we can't,
we can't. I have never seen employees because that's what
they are. I have never seen employees give so many

(26:57):
reasons as to why they can't do their job as
the Democrats. Because love them or hate them, Republicans get
the job done. Look what they've done in just six months.
They've destroyed a nation in just six months. They've taken
two hundred and forty nine years of American progress and
completely destroyed it. Have did Democrats ever in their entire

(27:21):
history of the country reshaped the country in six months
to their will? Nope? Nope. So love them or hate them,
Republicans get the job done. They they go scorched earth.
Democrats don't. They're pointless, They're useless, they're powerless, and they
are only hope. That's our only hope. Is a useless,

(27:44):
powerless Democratic Party. That's our only hope. And yes, AOC
is great, and Gavin Newsom is wonderful. Those are two people.
There's two hundred plus members of Congress. Robert Garcia, he's good.
So there's three people, three out of two plus hundred,

(28:04):
that actually aren't scared to do something. That's not enough,
and that's certainly not enough to pin our hopes and
dreams upon. Uh, we'd get better health care in most
other countries. Yes, that's very true. These rich people feel
like the poor will come after them, the French Revolution style.

(28:24):
Well they will. Ultimately America will fall, and when it does,
the poor will eat the rich. It always happens in
every society everyone. It's in that book Goliath, Goliath's Song,
Go read it. That's why we have restaurants. In the
seventeen hundreds, when the rich fell in France, the chefs
for the rich needed a job, so they opened up

(28:48):
their own dining halls. It was the fall of the
rich that brought us restaurants because the chefs, which were
reserved for the rich, now had to cook for the poor,
and so they did, and that's how that started. What
a mess? What a mess? Doesn't it just make you sad?

(29:12):
Don't you just want to hug America and go, oh,
you poor thing. America is like an abused puppy. You know,
it really is. It's just it's a two hundred and
forty nine year old abused puppy. It's so sad. And
you know what I wish, I wish I had a

(29:32):
partner or a best friend, Like if Daniel were alive,
he'd say let's leave. He'd have the resources and he'd
say let's go. I wish I had a friend that
had more resources than me and said, come on, let's leave,
let's go, let's go explore, you know, Ireland's let's go
live in London for a while. Let's go to port
of Arta for you know whatever. Well, I don't know

(29:52):
about port of Arta. They don't have a service dog policy,
and they while cannabis is legal, they don't have dispensary.
So that's two very big problems. The service dog policy
in Florida and Mexico is business by business. All right,
I am corelbe who you want to be throwing to
hurt anybody? Didn't want to be angry for the whole
show today, But here I am. Remember public enemy number one.

(30:16):
Pompis even more though than Donald Thompson because they do

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
