(00:43):
of The Kim Jacob Show. I am super thrilled to
be here with you on this special evening affair, so
we're gonna have ourselves a great time.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Listen. I need y'all to put some love, hugs.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
And kisses and stuff over there in the comment section
because I'm the person and that just says, no matter
what it takes, unless there's a reason why I cannot
be on here, I am going to make it happen
to be present. So I hope I'm leading by example
because when I tell you all, don't make excuses, and

(01:15):
I'm teaching it and ministering it.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Then when it comes down time for it, what about
when I need.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
To be the person that does not make excuses and
to make things happen, make results.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Right. So guess what today?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I knew that I had this very special queen that
was going to be gracing us with her presence, and
I wasn't bout, as my grandma say, wasn't about to
miss this opportunity to present her to the world. Right,
she already is well known, but I just want to
take the opportunity. I got you backstage for a second
on purpose, Miss Joscelyn, because I want to give people

(01:50):
formal introduction as I bring you to the stage. So
let me let you all know as you go ahead
and share this broadcast with your friends, your family, your
co workers that we have in the studio audience. Joscelyn
o'hannan Brown. She was born and raised in Abington, Pennsylvania.
She has excelled in the Abington District school system and

(02:13):
that allowed her to become one of two students that
received some really special things happening in her life. Now,
if I just read the bio, then you're gonna be like, oh,
I already heard the story. So I'm gonna let her
share her own story. But she started her walk with
Christ at a very early age, and we'll talk more
about that as well. I'm just really excited because this

(02:35):
woman is a force to be reckoned with, traveled with
some of the great names of Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp,
you name it. She has been you know, I how
somebody say she did that, wrote a book for it,
got a CDs and DVDs and all this stuff for it,
and she's here to tell her story. So I am
so honored to have Joscelyn o'hannan Brown right here on

(02:58):
the Kim Jacobs Show.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Well, how are you. How are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I'm doing I'm doing so great, So grateful that you
took the time to be here with us today.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Thank you for having me. I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
You're such a beautiful spirit. And you know, I say
spirit because I believe our spirit wraps up with our body.
But at the end of the day, God has really
gifted you to have a beautiful soul, and that's what
you want.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
It's a compliment, right, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am. I'm really
really glad.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Listen, everyone, as you all are grabbing your virtual seats,
make sure you do not deprive people of the opportunity
to just be a part of today's discussion. We're talking
really about a topic that I think is necessary, and.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I was sure to think of what can we call
this topic? But we need more of you, yes, ma'am,
God knows we do. Do you think that? Why do you?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
And move back some so I can see your bun
because you've done that too much work for us not
to be able to sit up.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Right.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Why Jesus from your perspective.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
While to answer your question, while wouldn't we need Jesus
and a world that we're living and we really are
in some perilous times and so many people, so many
of us, we gravitate to so many other things. That's
not the answer, that it's imperative to gravitate toward God
is the answer, and he's the conclusion of the whole matter.

(04:38):
If you don't have God, you don't have anything. You
can think you have it all, because it's it can
trip you up. This world can make you think you're winning,
and that's you're on point. But if you don't have God,
and also to another reason, we need God, we need
a hunger for him. How we got a one on, Yes,

(05:03):
we got a one on, but we got to realize
we need them.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That's right, that's good. I'm glad you're saying that because
a lot of times you, like you say, you can
get hemmed up, you can get out thinking that, you
think what's going on because you're doing so many great
things on your own. But really without the grace and
the compassion of our Lord and Savior, yes.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
It would be in vain, none of even an opportunity.
It doesn't matter, it doesn't count. It doesn't matter what
are we doing it for, only what we do for
Christ last, Yes, ma'am, that's it. That's it. Now.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
I know for you things really again at an early age,
because not everyone has that story. Yes, started from a
faith based belief and initiative early on for you. So
if you would just take us back as to how
far did it really start for you with your faith
learne and your faith.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Walk, Yes, ma'am. Well, as we all say, I'm a
church baby all day every day.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Don't have rcy.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
My mother almost gave the altar at the altar at
a no. But but when I say church kid, Peking
everybody was a preacher. Family church. Grandpa was the bishop,
my father was one of the eldest mothers was in
a ban you know. So we grew up in it,
you know, me and my cousins and all of that.

(06:26):
So we grew up in the way of God. Now, yes,
we understood church, but we we were. They planted seeds
of heaven, God's spirit in us, so they gave us.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
They taught us reverence early.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Okay, So even if we grew up in some of
us straight, you could get back. You can get back
because a lot of times also to sometimes the little
downside of growing up in church. Initially you're just so
used to going through the repetition and going through the motions,
and it don't drop down deep in there quite yet. Right,
Take a little life, take a little light hits to

(07:00):
be able to tap into. Oh that's what they was
talking about. Oh that's that oil they were talking about.
Oh that's that dependency on God. But I thank God
for my roots because it's able I'm able to even
stand now and be able to navigate through life now,
and I thank God for I.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Wouldn't change it for the world.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
You know. Some people are like, oh, I missed out.
I ain't miss out on nothing. I'm thank God for Jesus. Yeah, yeah,
I wouldn't have it any other way.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
But you know, I love the fact that you are
giving kudos to your parents because a lot of times
people just dismiss parents in today's time. Your parents leadership,
your parents' leadership really helps me who you're called to
ultimately be.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
So I'm grateful.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yeah, I'm the importance to that of parents and the
role that they play in shaping people's face.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
It really is. And I know we're in a generation
that tries to downplay parents because everybody wants to live
in their feelings and emotions. Now, okay, all right, everybody's
a therapist. Everybody's got feels that. You know, we try
to downplay and and and call our parents for all

(08:08):
the trauma we had. But where is the celebration for
what they helped develop you in that it's positive and
what And nobody's perfect who is?

Speaker 3 (08:17):
But what I am grateful to say, I thank God
for my parents.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I really do. My mother is going on to be
with the Lord. But growing up with my parents, that's
all I knew all my life. My parents were married
thirty four years, it's all I saw. They raised me
in God. That was the best I'm getting. I could
almost cry. That's the best gift they could have ever
given me. Because even in the season of even losing

(08:42):
my mother and all of that, it was those seeds
that they taught and God that helped me be able
to navigate through that, because because when life hits you
with some blows, if you don't have a firm foundation,
you will drift away.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
And so many and we.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
See all these heads and all these stories of people
that have lost their mind and different things like that.
That doesn't just happen. That's right, Somewhere along the line,
God was dismissed. God was lost, And yes we can
get astray, yes we can. But I'm so grateful they
taught me to pay so I can always known have

(09:19):
a hot back on.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
I'm so grateful for that. So I can't express it enough.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I'm not saying it like a cliche when I say
I thank God for God using them to teach me
how to get to Him, because our parents are our
first examples of God's love because they teach us, they're
they're nurturing us.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
So I'm grateful for them for that.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I love them to death for that.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
I really do.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
I really cherish both my parents for that.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Well, I was sitting here, I was trying to you know,
whenever I see different things and it just registers in
my spirit, I want to I want to share.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I just want to share.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
As we're talking today, y'all, we're talking with Joscelyn who's
just literally just coming on to have a conversation and
to just talk with us from her heart about how
we need more of him, how more of our Lord
and Savior. And I went on your page here. I'm
just gonna pull this up for a second because the pictures,

(10:21):
they pictures are really worth a.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Whole lot. Look at this, Yes, your dad right, Yes,
that's my father, Yes, and all he is of you
and your baby. To look at this. He's celebrating. Yes man,
yes my baby.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
That was my son's christening.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
And most people men are often told, you know, don't
express that level of emotion. But that picture right there
is a postcard exact amongst the African American community when
they're talking sometimes differently.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yes, he's off the old block.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
I love them. I love the old guy. I love them.
That's his nickname.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
A little old man.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
You can't get better, that's for sure, because he is
literally in awe of what. Yeah, he's looking at like,
look at the Lord done doone yes, just telling you
he's practicing what he's preaching.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
And I'm gonna tell you something. I'm gonna give you
a little context behind that picture. So me and my husband,
we had been married for a few years already, and
when my mother pays, we had been trying for years,
trying to have the baby. And when my mother passed,
two weeks after the funeral, we found out we were expecting.
Oh my god, our first child. We found out. I'm

(11:38):
trying not to cry. We found out were expecting. So
it was such a bittersweet season because my mama, that
was my rock who that was my girl, you know.
And for God to send a little nugget like that,
I was trying not to cry for God to send
my child in the same season I'm trying to get together.

(12:01):
And it took two long bit on his makeup. I'm sorry, y'all,
but for God to even though a storm came, he
still said a gift, He still said some sunshine. So,
oh God, Oh God. And so that picture says a lot.
I literally lost my mother in the same year my
child was born. My mother passed in April. I had

(12:23):
my son in this summer. So who so when I
say it's so bitter sweet, so definitely that's definitely a
good depiction of us still standing and then after coming
out the storm and still learning how to juggle. We
got a little nugget, got you in my little baby.
So and I think he's gonna be three next month,

(12:45):
y'all pray my stress.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Like whole He seemed like a whole handful of Look
look at him.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
That's Oh that picture says a lot. That says it all.
You probably can see my husband got them hpped up
in the bank the picture.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
If people don't get it right, take this picture, lawyer.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
That's the best what we can get you Lord. Awesome.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
But you know what, I think people really learn to
appreciate more what God's gift is to them in this
regard that you had to overcome.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
When you have some context.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Absolutely, what encouragement would you give to women that are
struggling to have children? They never may never have children,
So what advice or encouragement could you give them?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Would I say, my mom used to sing a song
all the time. She said, my hope is built and
nothing less than Jesus Christ is righteous, and I dare
not trust. It's the sweetest frame, but only lead on Christ,
the solid rock I stand. I messed up the words
a little bit, but y'all know, y'all know what I'm
getting it. I'm getting it. But I see all that

(14:12):
to say, your hope has to be in God. It
can't be and man made things. It can't be in
man's hope, right because I know you know, I work
in medicine, so I know how smart and wise humans
who God made you think we are. I know how
bright we think we are. But at the end of

(14:34):
the day, God has the final say. And I'm gonna
say this, especially with women as trying and and whether
it might come through, it might not. Right, I've learned
to live in the sovereignty of God. Yes, we are

(14:55):
nothing but spiritual beings having an earthly experience. So it's
hard to do because we have so many personal desires.
But your real life hype heart posture has to be God,
Your will be done, only your will, that's only your
will be done.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
And yes for us and sometimes.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
And sometimes to know and sometimes you have to live
out your know as well. And it's hard because we
all got, you know, some wants and desires. But God,
I accept whatever you do. And that's hard. It's not
the statement to make. I'm not gonna sit here and
and and and act like that's so easy to do.

(15:39):
But God, I trust whatever you have for me. Thank you, God.
I trust whatever you have for me. Because God sees
the things we cannot see. He knows things up the road.
He knows, and it's as ready as we think we are,
or how prepared with it. We don't know. We don't know.

(15:59):
We only knowing pieces we only know. We don't know,
and we don't know. And and and I'm grateful and
and and as you grow in God, he builds your
spiritual maturity to even understand why He does the things
he does. And it takes time, it don't haspen overnight,
but even understanding. Even when my child came into place,

(16:21):
my mother was sick for a long time and not
my mother's only child, so so we we rocked out.
I took care of my mom. I came off for job,
yes I did. I took care. I took care of
until God call the night, and that's something that was
a big built to Now I always, I always relish that.
I thank God that I always want to take care

(16:42):
of my parents because they took care of me. So
that's always been my thing. And the reality is trying
to take care of a sick loved one while being pregnant,
while trying to carry for a newborn. It's not impossible,
but it would have been very challenging, and some something
somewhere would have would have been unbalanced somewhere. So God

(17:03):
knows all things. Now, when everything was fresh, I wouldn't
want to hear that conversation. So I understand it because
we're human, so I'm not going to sit here and
act like I had had human humanity running through my head.
But now, after some healing, and you're still healing every day,
but at the growing in God and God is healing

(17:25):
and teaching us, I understand those things now. So I
would just say, really, trusting what God has for you,
it's even if it bucks up against what you want
for yourself.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I love that advice and I agree with that advice.
And listen to all of you that's in the studio audience.
Make sure you're chiming into so that this is just
interactive conversation. We'd love to be able to just come
over and get some of your input and I pop
the comments so that we can get a chance to
acknowledge you on this episode as well. But I know personally, Joscelyn,

(17:58):
I was told that I could not have children the
age of twenty three, and so I didn't think I
could based on them, I couldn't. But fast forward I
have I gave birth to five children.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Lord have mercy.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
But let me say this, if I was not able
to have children, I had purposed in my mind and
in my heart to adopt children.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Wow, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
You know you don't know what God is gonna do
or who is in need of you and has need
of you, because maybe God has different things happening the
way that it is because he knows who He's going
to assign to your life and attached to your to
your ministry to you.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
That is so true.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
That's so true. And to even deal with a verdict
like that at such a young age, that's wow. You
better believe it was Gosh.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
So this right here is so inspiring because as we're
talking to Joscelyn today now many of you are. I
don't want to dress it fifty times over. But you
can hear my voice. I lost on I lost on
my voice. But I rebuke.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
We're talking about your healing.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
It's all right, I rebuke you ain't nobody could show
with jos and Queen Joscelyn just because of a voice.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
No, you can come back again if you want to
hear my real voice. Joan, you sound good.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
You sound good.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
But now talking about just even balancing all of the
different aspects of your life. Because you are a wife,
your mother, your daughter, your friend. You're a celebrity that
you're traveling the country and doing all of these big projects.
Talk to us about how you really effectively balance.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
That who it's a juggling egg. It is a juggling egg.
But I just try to follow with God put in
place in his word, your family comes first. God come first,
of course, but with God, he teaches you how to navigate.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
You have balance your family.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
I'm first, you navigate. You know, it's really a job.
And me and my husband we really work together. I
love that man. I love you baby. If you watch it,
I love you baby, if you watching Because he's gonna
be like I need I love you baby, hall to
do y'ah, thank you Jesus's hallelujah. But but we really
work together and keeping God first and asking literally and

(20:24):
I notice might say on city silly, but literally praying
and asking God for direction of how to have balance.
When I take you got everything, ain't no shame of
my game and my priend God, how I do this?
But when I say leaning depending on God, he I
can't do anything without him.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Like seriously, like, how do I balance this? All right?

Speaker 1 (20:46):
How many engagement should I take this week? Should I
take a break? Make sure we had family time, make
sure we meant things out. It's literally that that balance
and egg and then there's sometimes we can do things together.
But mastering that balance, So you know, that's real good.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
I love that because then you can if we're really
being open to the spirit of the Lord, then he
can say, listen, you know you're.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Doing too much.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
You're doing the most, Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Absolutely, family a little bit more, Get on home, baby,
all right, get one at home.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Get on home.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Start.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, but it is important to have a support of spouse,
especially when you do have so many demands in ministry
and things pulling and people pulling and tugging on you.
So what what advice would you even give people that
are being called to a higher level of ministry and

(21:45):
they're still trying to balance their families like this, Any suggestions.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
I'm gonna tell you from from from the start.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Right, because you pointed, I'm gonna put you over here
now because you're not pointing, you can really lean in.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Go ahead, go ahead, I'm gonna tell you from the start,
when it even comes to your spouse, do not lie
to yourself. Find somebody that has God, not culture, y'all,
please leaner, because we keep we keep messing up with
this and.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
This is another little fema. Be with someone that has God.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
That gotta have God, because when you don't have God,
it makes things hard. You can't even fas a ministry
or building anything. If that's a foundation that's already shaky. Now, granted,
things happen, you know by the husband vice versa, right, happen,
But if you can, you can help it. Because we're

(22:41):
making a lot of choices, So don't act like you
don't have a choice in that too. Really, find someone
that has God and that is compatible and understands your call.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
And you understand this, y'all. There's some good stuff after you.
If you're taking notes as you're hearing this conversation, make
sure that you go back and pull it out later,
because this is the stuff you can apply to your life.
Find someone that has God. What was the next thing
you said?

Speaker 1 (23:08):
That understands your call and you understand theirs. Find someone
that understands your call. That's good, okay, and you understand theirs.
So it needs to be reciprocal, yes, now, because a
lot of times sometimes when people have more of an
upfront call in ministry, people get a little selfish and

(23:33):
you forget other folks got calls to just because they
might be different. Now, me and my husband's personalities are
complete opposites, but he's.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Powerful in his lane. He is My husband's a nurse.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Halladuj hh, thank you Jesus. And his ministry is is
he has a healing ministry Like oh my good, his
nurturing it's unbelievable. Like like he like he's really gifted,
Like like I'll be playing with him a lot of times,
but but like he's really gifted.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Like I even hear him at work and.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I'm just like listen to you look at you take
care of the people. But I say all that to
say we really balance each other. I'm the one that's
the crazy, you know, loud right, and he's he's my balance.

(24:26):
He's a cool common collect like. It's a great balance. So,
like I said, making sure that you're compatible and you
all know how to work with each other in and
out of ministry and can be something to each other
in each other's life. Yeah, there's some good stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
So y'all, y'all got some good takeaways that you can
keep things flowing smoothly in your marriage and support each
other's calling, not just yes and the gifts and the talents,
because God give all of us gifts into yes. Yes,
who are we to say that I gift and talent
is more important? Are you?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
This is good?

Speaker 2 (25:06):
You're dropping some serious words of wisdom and empowerment in
my opinion right here. So now, at the age of nineteen,
you actually received your call to ministry, yes, ma' to
talk more about what that looked like and how did
you really know you were really truly called? Well, I know,
cause we can see the fruits of the labor right now.

(25:28):
But tell us how you knew back then? That you
were truly called at a young age like that.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Well, well, I had been in prayer constant, always seeking God,
and then God would send different confirmations over the years
or whatever. But even with confirmation and getting a word,
I've always tried the word by the word.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
I took whatever vessel.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Got used, whatever word they gave you, and I took
it to God in prayer. I said, all right, God,
this is what you're saying about me. Can you tell
me that too? So I can make you I'm right,
because I don't want to go out here all willy
lilly and you ain't and you I want you to
confirm your work from that.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
And God did that for me.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
So that's when I started on my venture in ministry.
I did my first trump sermon at nineteen and and
God's been me and Jesus says, then, Jesus every since.
That's a good thing. And you wouldn't trade it in
with you, no, ma'am, No, ma'am, not at all. I would.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
And I sometimes people feel like when you're kind of
sold out for Christ, like I'm sold out.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
For Christ, they feel like you're missing out on something.
They Yeah, but do you feel like you're missing out
on anything.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
No, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
And and a lot of people they're like, oh my girl,
you need to live a little.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
I am living.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
I'm living my best life living and I'm gonna tell
you something and I'm trying to make you laugh. But
I'm so churchy. I would look silly out in the world.
They will point me out like honey, please go back.
Booh they were like boh, they would.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Boom me like no.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
And then not just the churchy part, but really just
being a God is who I am. It's part of
the fabric of who I am. You can't discrupt that off.
So even like even like some of us in the faith,
like some people try to go go away with it,
people spot you your annoyed to stands out. Even when
you're trying to run from it, people see it. You know,

(27:30):
you know you try. You know, you try to like,
you know, dip off, try to do another way. They'll
be like, nah, we see you.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
You're not supposed to be one of them want us.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
We're not playing with you. You know what.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
In school, I'm glad you said that because in school
I wonder that people because at the age of nineteen,
that's a young age so you got all of this life.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Between there and where you are.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Now, if people really recognize the God in you to
the point where they were ignore it at that level.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah, they always call me. They always called me preacher,
like my like different friends and Preacher. Don't don't don't
don't be saying no feign language around preacher. You know
they did, they did.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
It was something that's that our people always Yeah, but that.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Speaks volumes of not that you're better than anybody, because
I believe I don't even believe that anybody is better
than anybody else. I believe people have better circumstances and
situations that for whatever reason, that's how God chose to
line their lives up. But us are better than the
next person, you know, Yes, And so I love the

(28:40):
fact though that because of your musical gifts and talents,
it afforded you some opportunities that a lot of people
would have never experienced. So just talk to us about
like how you had your Abington School district, Berkeley College
and all your stuff.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Talk to us about anything else. And so, so when
I was entering college, embarking on that journey in Boston,
I got to tour in.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Europe, for a summer and study abroad.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I went to about like five countries Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland,
and Austria, I say, in Germany in Germany. In Germany
that that, and I got to do gospel music. I
got to do classical music too. But but when I
was with when I was with the group I was with,

(29:35):
they was like, we're gonna do a gospel ballad we
want you to do. I'm like, okay, Like like you
just said, people can point point it out. They were like, no, no, no,
we want you to do the gospel. I'm like cool.
And that was awesome studying abroad and even learning seeing
different cultures worship God. Oh my gosh, I hope we're
getting ready for heaven because it's gonna be everybody, everybody blood.

(30:00):
It's not. That's what I was. We're one, and it was.
It was just so liberating, and you saw people of
all different creeds and color it was and culture.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
It was beautiful.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
It really was like experience and heaven because over abroad
it's really you know, intermixing, intertwined with different people, people traveling.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Oh my goodness, that was such an awesome experience. It
really was. I wouldn't tread it for the world.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Oh my goodness. Now let me let me ask you
right quick. I know, because I want to go into
more about the music school and things. But what is
it like traveling abroad for an African American young lady?
Because I know I can only speak for myself. You
are you selves in the studio audience. When I think
of international abroad travel and just sending my daughter or

(30:50):
one of my sons out, that makes me somewhat nervous.
What a place would you give to parents that have
musically inclined or just brilliant masterminds you deserve and a
broad experience.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
I would I say encourage it because it teaches you
such culture and this is where you gotta have God.
You gotta pray wherever they go. You gotta break for
a kid to go up the street. God knows you do.
You got to ask God the covers of the blood
wherever we go. But I would encourage it. If it's
something you can do and something you can encourage, definitely
do it because it teaches you versatility. It teaches you

(31:26):
how to navigate with different kinds of people because a
lot of times when when you grow up in a
one space. You only learn one space of people, right,
and that's not how That's not the world. The world
is filled with everybody, so it's I would I would
advise if you can do it, yes, encourage your child
to do all types of things. Travel, it's an amazing experience.

(31:51):
It teaches you so much. I learned so much. And
even different cultures they accept different people different. It was
beautiful over It was very liberated.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
And you didn't have any issues where you were non.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Try and snatch me nothing. You just don't have, no, ma'am.
I was with a good group. It was it was locked.
It was you know, we were, yes, ma'am. We had
great protection. God is mighty, hallelujah. But you always go
if you do do something like that, always, you know,
make sure you go in wisdom, make sure you're a
good group of people.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Make sure everybody's gonna want the core. Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
But it was very nice. And when I went over there,
a lot of people thought I was British for whatever reason,
I don't know why. I said, no, no, no, not Britani.
I'm from the USA, the US, from the US, but
from London. But a lot of people of color are
from London, so they you know, it was very common,

(32:49):
but it was very people were very nice. Hmmm, they were.
They were very welcoming. It was beautiful over there.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Really, yes, do.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
You think this helped shape who you are today? Because
you seem very well versed and well studied and and
just very even in when you're communicating, Like as you're
having some conversation with me, you're saying things. I don't
know if everybody else in the audience is picking up
on this, but you said some things in it immediately

(33:21):
it made me immediately like almost just cry and travail
out loud. And I don't even know if it's your
intention or if that's just if that God gave you right,
because I was like, what you said was so profound
and so true, which is it doesn't matter if you
are across the globe or if you are And what

(33:42):
made me cries that even if you're just in front
of your front yard my son, my son, that transition
in our yard, play a game of basketball, batball, And
so I was like, man, that's such a profound statement
that you're making that we don't know the.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Day nor the hour when it happens.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
We need to be prepared, so to talk about your
school of music and just even about being prepared, I
want you to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
So my college experience, I loved it. I loved it,
and I'm gonna tell you why. I finally ran into
a lot of people just like me. When I say
everybody's every everybody was a peak like almost everybody.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
It was like, oh my.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Gosh, you found all the all the pastes kids who
was musicians and stuff like that. We're still all great
friends to this like it was an amazing experience. I
was like, oh my god, I found people like me.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
That's crazy. I know are musicians. They finally know you.
I'm like, you probably know all each other too.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
So at some point, don't cross paths. But but, but
but I'm very big on I'm big on education, even
in what you do for God always perfected.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Yes, why not?

Speaker 1 (35:10):
That's right, especially.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
If we're doing it for godless being excellent.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
That's right. Nobody, nobody should be able to challenge you
in your lane because you have lack of knowledge. Ah,
that's good. No, it's no reason for that. Not in
all these things that we have access to. Now, it's
no excuse we should be a stute in our cress.
Whatever that is, that's you know, and with the help

(35:34):
of God, that's what he gives us, wisdom and knowledge,
for the earth is the Lord, and the fools there, Well,
we just.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Gotta go get it.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
He already put it out there.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Everything that we and believe, as long as it's in
alignment with His will. Absolutely, if we don't get it
because we don't even ask for it sometimes, so true,
that's so true. Gosh, we have to.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Learn to ask more, you know.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Yes, Okay, we are, Yeah, were on this whole We
on this roller coaster ride. We're on a journey with
Joscelyn Hand and Brown. And listen, she's already taken us
from some of her childhood years. Nineteen she was called
to ministry. Now she's in college days, so we're talking
about her college years. She'd found her whole community of
pks and so what happens as you move forward, it's.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
A whole movie, by the way, go ahead, and then
trying to figure out what to major, and of course
I love music, but that you know, I had to
narrow that down. So what I ended up studying was
music business and music therapy. Okay, so the music therapy
got me into like the medical lane and different things
like that, because I was.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Able to do my music but do a therapeutic.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
I worked with a traumatic brain injury for years as
a cognitive therapist, teaching music therapy to people with brain injury,
and that was like super super rewarding, super rewarding. I
still do a lot of that now, transitioning into a
couple other things, but I still do a lot of
that now. For years I did that and that was

(37:02):
so rewarding, and it was a way to take my
passion for music and translate it into a need. Wow,
you know, and then you're able to not just of course,
of course, God knows it was rewarding God, you know,
it was a job, right, you know, financially said I
thank God for that. But being able to even take

(37:23):
what we use in Kingdom and intertwine it with the world,
and they don't even realize what it is, because even
learning about frequencies and different things like that, and how
the brain works, all that stuff is heavenly sounds and
different things like that. We get to our brain recharge
and our cerebral cortex recharge and all that All of

(37:45):
those things are our variations of vibrations and sound and music.
So when I did music therapy, it was very rewarding.
Especially I doubled a lot of stroke victims and things
like that, trying to teach them how to talk again
and different things like that. And a lot of times
with job, your cognition is the history of music. So,
like I said, I dealt with a lot of traumatic

(38:06):
brain injury and whatever age. A lot of times you
have the injury, your brain is stuck there. So if
it say if somebody is like forty, but their injury
was like at nineteen, their brain is stuck there. So
you have to create different variations and creative ways to
try to help their mind to still grow and develop

(38:28):
because it's like stuck in a space. So with music,
a lot of times what would get those things charging
is learning their background. So when you get their profiles
and different things, like I've learned their background, learn where
they were from, were part of the countries they were from,
and they her country Western music? What different thing would
jog history about their parents? So what kind of house

(38:48):
did they grow up in? And I had one testimonial
where a woman she had a horrible stroke and the
dorter was she was trying to figure out how to
do different things with her, And I was like, okay,
where she grew up down south? Like I think she
grew up around like Mississippi in like the thirties and
stuff like that, and and you know, they had swamps

(39:08):
and all of that kind of stuff, So she grew
up around Mississippi bluegrass. So I told the daughter, I
was like, and this was just I was just giving
her nuggets. I didn't even deal with the woman in
hands on, but I said, start playing different things from
this era. I gave her the links and different things
of the songs that were popular at that when she
was a young child and at that age the older woman,
when she started to do that in repetition and all that,

(39:31):
it jobbed her brain to start charging that. She started talking.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Here, started having amazing progres.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Yes, so there are miracles and music, miracles and music.
So I'm definitely old book.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Right, yes, and his show it's something.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Yes, So there's miracles and music. And guy didn't just
you know, if you are gifted to do music, it's
so many dimensions you can do with it. That's so
many dimensions. So I thank God for that experience. It's
very it was very rewarded, very rewarded.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Wow, you sound like you've had some incredible experiences. And
one thing that kind of stands out of my mind, Jocelyn,
is that with you traveling abroad and being selected as
only one of two students that were given that opportunity,
which is an exclusive almost once in a lifetime opportunity,
what God has for you is for you, by the way, yes, man,
no matter how many other applicants there were, but two,

(40:31):
you were one of the two. Anyway, would that be
in your opinion?

Speaker 1 (40:36):
What was like?

Speaker 2 (40:36):
How did it become more like a universal music message?

Speaker 1 (40:41):
I don't I don't know the right way to word
the question. I'm wondering.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
With your studies abroad, did you learn something that makes
it applicable to how you minister in music university now
at this point.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Yes, ma'am even learning how to identify your audience and
understand people's background to understand how to convey a message
to them. Everybody grows up in different different spaces and
different cultures. You need to even learn what's offensive to
certain cultures, what's not you know what I'm saying, Like

(41:19):
if people grew up in a very poised. It doesn't
mean they're dry, it's just their culture a poise, laid
back setting, and you're trying to minister to them and
get them to unlock something. Especially when you're trying to
express a message of God, you have to meet people
where they are. Just like when you evangelize, if you
start to somebody on the street, before you start quoting scripture,

(41:40):
give them a sandwich so that their brain can be receptive.
You know. It's the same thing with anything else, you know.
So I learned that definitely, were going across abroad and
learning other cultures, learning how to speak everyone's language and
how they would be receptive. And I take that same
tactic in worship and learning where people are and learning

(42:03):
just how to mennesota because the whole point is to
get the message out. That's the whole point. Don't be
stuck on being you. Oh that's how I am that
you can't get the message across, that's good right there.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
You're not helping anybody.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
If they can't hear you or relate. That's you know,
so a lot of people.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
I so because that's another good example because my one
of my children recently and I even went recently, I
went to someone's home going and it was at A.
It was at A. They had a mass, A big
gotch you had a Catholic Mass. Well, when I was there,

(42:41):
when they had everybody stand, I stood, I'm not gonna
like I'm in their culture. I came to the home
going to celebrate the life of this person. So I'm
going to celebrate the life the way that they're celebrating
the life.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
Right.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Then when they started doing different chants and different things,
I don't know those chances, I can't. And then when
they got ready to.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Have people come and drink out of the the one
the cut waiting that wash wait. But at the end
of the day, everything Joscelyn.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
The reason I'm saying this is not as a joke,
but everything was done in one hour and the entire service.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
And I'm saying I sat there and.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
I analyzed how per perfect it was, very move it went,
It went like, very flawless. I was like, you mean
to tell me they could get all of that done
and that one one piece was missing in that in
that particular component of whatether they now obviously and what

(43:45):
we believe we believe obviously Jesus Christ and he crucified
absolute sins and rose. The bottom line, we we we
just got different beliefs everybody. I love my Catholic brothers
and sisters. That's why I went to sell Clebrate my
Catholic brother's life. Because you know, I don't know why

(44:05):
I said that. I just said no, but no, no, that.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
That actually that actually makes a lot of sense. And
like I said, we still believe it would believe. We
don't change our message, but how we get the messages imperative, right.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
But my point that I was making is that when
you were when I went there, I didn't go there
and start just telling them move over.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
What we do here. Yes, even the word speaks on it.
If me to finish your brother, don't need it in
front of them. You know, it's have etiquette, have courtesy
because if it because if the goal is even when
it comes to ministry, if the goal is to win somebody,
that's right. You can draw for more with with with honey,
you know so absolutely and learning to adjust absolutely.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
So what when people are listening to your music, I
I really want to get an idea of what do
you want people to walk away feeling or experience sing
when they experience your music.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
I want you to want God, not not me, not
the cover, not the pictures, not the not the marketing.
I want you. It's literally like the song he means you, Jesus.
I want people to want God. I want us to

(45:27):
get back to a posture of wanting God and having
a repentive, repentive posture to want God, my God, my God,
want godbody. We need to have more. You can't do
anything without him.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
You need him, you need them.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
I know, we I know there's so much influence everywhere else,
but to try to teach people to have a hunger
for God. Girl, Okay, you got me calling you girl. Girl.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
Like we're sitting here on the sofa on one of
these chairs back here.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
I feel like I'm right at home.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Just talking to a sister in Christ who is so
uplifting and edifying and not even thinking about your own
marketing and your own your own strategies. But you're thinking about.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
I want people to want God because you need to
get fueled off of God. Because when these life winds
hit us, and the winds blood, you need He God,
have mercy. You need a firm foundation, thank you God.
And you need a firm foundation, and in order to

(46:41):
not break, you gotta be fueling off for God all
the time. It has to be your lifestyle. Yes, it
has to be what you do. And some people call
it deep, some folk calling over the top. But it's
what saved my life. It's those who kept me from
losing my mind, pading him in all my apartments, having
him in my front, in my back, and my side,

(47:02):
in my mind. Literally and and we don't need nothing else.
That's why I am. I wrote. I wrote that song.
The need you Jesus part came during the worship service. Right,
we just leave him m I wanted a lot of things,
couldn't get no answers. But when I wanted God, hm,

(47:26):
he gave the answer. He gave everything. You gave everything
we needed. That's all we need. That. People don't believe that.
I don't don't believe it, and I know it's hard,
but about that, No, He's it. He is it.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
Nor things in the past, nor nor things in the future,
none of it.

Speaker 1 (47:46):
Now, this is it. He's just the answer. We we
try to outwin ourselves too much and think too much.
I'm thinking, so just get him. The how don't matter,
the wind don't matter.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
That's right, and the work the word says, we're gonna
all all every need will bow everything.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
Yes, And I think we forget a lot of times,
because you know, culture is so overwhelming. I think sometimes
we forget that we're trying to go somewhere.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
We're trying to get that happen.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
I want to be ready. I have to get to Heaven.
I have to my son.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
I don't have no other choices. What are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (48:24):
I'm not going Sunday after Sunday for I want to
see them. Oh yes, Lord, I want to see him,
the man who dies for me. I want to see him.
I got to see God, my God, my God.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Okay, I'm gonna put this up because I'm telling you
you don't want to miss hearing this song, which is
on all available downloadable places that you.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
Ever can get your music, wherever you.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Listen, go ahead and download it because it is available,
and it's called what is it?

Speaker 3 (49:02):
It's called more of You, We need you Jesus here
it looks like a prayer worship song.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
All right, we're gonna play it. Tell me if y'all
can hear well, Ship the soul.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Of my nation, my heart.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
Jez Love fuck you.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
My soul.

Speaker 5 (49:38):
Peez, Steve, fuck you?

Speaker 4 (49:43):
Are you one more of you? I don't care why
I have to to?

Speaker 1 (49:54):
How are you one more?

Speaker 4 (49:57):
Love you more cute?

Speaker 1 (50:05):
My excuse me, sir? How old were you?

Speaker 2 (50:11):
Got a whole person going and the same.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
That's all right, But I was hearing it from I
was from the YouTube. Thanka.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
Did you hear it still?

Speaker 1 (50:30):
No?

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Maybe I can't hear it.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
That's because you. That's because you viral.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
So it's trying to get commercial ads in there.

Speaker 6 (50:41):
Chat you want more up you more?

Speaker 1 (50:54):
Come on say place let it want longing for you?
Come on, I want to hear you. Come and say
my soul.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
It's nasty for you one more of you?

Speaker 1 (51:18):
I don't care. I one more.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Moan you come on one voice?

Speaker 4 (51:31):
Say my heart.

Speaker 5 (51:34):
If you know you want more, look looking for you,
say my soul.

Speaker 4 (51:44):
Myself went nasty thinking.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Say I would more. I don't care what I have
to do?

Speaker 4 (51:57):
What said I would more?

Speaker 5 (52:00):
Jeesus, ma, I'm gonna say, say pees, save my soul.
It's nice say.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
Jeez say I don't care.

Speaker 5 (52:33):
I don't care what see y'all want the mine the
Jesus say mos, anybody from I want to take her
from the sign.

Speaker 4 (52:49):
Hold the turn up is longing for you. Hold, I
got a simple saul, say my soul.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
I want people to go and get I want you
to go and get download. I don't want you to
just listen to it only on here. I want you
to get the download. Where can people get you? Need
more of you? Where can people get it?

Speaker 1 (53:10):
Just all digital platforms app music, iTunes, Google Play, Pandora, Spotify,
any title, anything you can think of, any streaming platform.
Obviously you can listen to it on YouTube, any streaming platform.

(53:32):
If you're type in my name, it's on the bottom screen,
Joscelyn on hand and Brown, it'll pop up.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
More of you.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
We need you Jesus she Jocelyn Is jos e l
y n o'hannan Ash Brown, y'all. You have to get
that song and just put it on repeat and have
it just ministering to you. Because we can get through
some of these difficult times if we lean more on him.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
How important is.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
It in your opinion, and lean on him in the
midst of all that is going on across the land.
People are leaning on the government, leaning on leaders, But
what about leaning on him? Talk to us about that,
and God.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Is showing us how much we need to lean on
him because everything else is felling us.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
So we're at the point where.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
We gotta lean on him. Yeah, you have nothing to lose.
He's the only way you want to get some type
of resolve. He's the He's the he's the way, the truth,
and the life. He really is. And some trusting horses
and some trusting jariots, but we will remember, Yes, God,

(54:40):
the name of the Lord. In the name of the Lord,
it's the only name that can save this because the
name of the Lord is a strong tower and the
righteous running in there safe. He's the only safety we
have in this hour. It's not in people, it's in Him.
Thank you for this encouragement, but we got want.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
I also talk about Overflow, because that reached the top
three on the Gospel Billboard charts, and that's an incredible accomplishment.
So just to talk to us about the impact that
that's had, even in your ministry, your family, your music,
what was that like and even traveling with some of
the greats that you traveled with, Fred Hammond and Marvin

(55:22):
sapp and all of these different people. God graced you, Yes,
nineteen years.

Speaker 1 (55:28):
Old, yes, ma'am, so I do.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
I do. Just want to give a slight clarifyer.

Speaker 1 (55:32):
I've opened up for them, so I didn't never to
do like tour traveling with them, but I did open
up for them for different events and different things like that,
which is similar the same thing.

Speaker 3 (55:40):
But I want to truth.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Let me, let me, let me put my glasses on
a way to tell you if you've been on the
same stage.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
It's way, shape or form.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
Yes, I have not been on the stage with Fred
Hammond or Marvin's SAP, so I can't say and why
it was at the same building and unless I then
and the audience is watching the concert, so uh yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Ayad, yes, yes, but that was an awesome experience. It
was it came by surprise, so we didn't even know.
Me and my team, we didn't even know that it
made Gospel Billboard. Somebody had tagged me and something on
Instagram and I was like, go joys. And I look
at the comment and I look at the billboard. I'm

(56:27):
like and I called my team. I said hey, yo,
and I was I was so humble and I'm gonna
be completely honest with you and I'm not saying it's
out of cliche. I really don't do what I do
for any type of recognition. I don't do it. I
don't do it for I don't do it for a coin.

(56:48):
I don't. I really do I work. You know what
I'm saying, And there's nothing wrong, you know what I'm saying.
So I really do it for for the love of God.
I really really do so to forgot to few a
little nugget out there and God God, like you know,
I appreciate.

Speaker 3 (57:03):
You your work.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Daughter.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
It was it was a great experience.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
It called like I said, they called this off guard
and it was really it was really refreshing. It was
encouraging to keep going because you know, a lot of
times and a lot of creatives. I'm sure they can relate.
Can you get discouraging? Right? It's like in my call
to this, am I supposed to do this is you know,
stuff is not lining up like I needed to. So
God has a way to always give some type of confirmation. Right, No,

(57:31):
keep going, I got something for you. And that's that
was his encouragement.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Yes, ma'am, look at this I'm putting on the billboard.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Charge girl.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Three out of all these people in the world and
jos and y'all are on that on that top three.
You can't who even can say that that's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
Yes, God is faithful. God is faithful. God is so
faithful to you, and I'm humbled by what He's doing
in your life. Now.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
If you be in the worship leader and worship director,
I should say at the Life Church, what's like your
overall vision for when people experience worship and come into
the presence of the Lord there.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
I want people to realize worship with God is easy.
It's not a song and a dance. It's literally just
giving God your heart and giving God every infection, every flow,
and know that in his presence it's okay. God covers

(58:34):
all God covers all of that, and getting in His
presence allows us to get fueled with His spirit so
that we can keep overcoming. So I always want to
I like to present worship so people realize it's something
that they can participate in. And I always want to
approach it or people know that it's something they can
join in too. And it's not set for a leader

(58:56):
or bishop or apostle, you know, No, it's for everybody.
I wanted to be relatable to everybody and know that
it's okay to worship God all his excess for being
spared and the truth. I'm aston worship like God, I'm
coming in with our aunt help me. Lord, we need
you Jesus like.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
Literally come as you are and you give an experience
like when I was. I watched all of these different
video clips and I was like, I felt like I
was right there in the room. It's something about what
He has gifted you to do. Literally when we talk.
I've ministered about this on Sunday. But when the oil
is not going to flow until it's supposed to flow

(59:36):
on the person, that is a sign to flow on
and you are assigned to receive the anointing of the Lord.
I know this is a shout out time or whatever
or prophecy time, but I'm just telling you that God
has gifted you to connect with people at a different
level than most people ever will connect in their lifetime.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Wow. Wow, Okay, this is good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Okay, So what encouragement would you give even to younger
people that I see a lot of young people that
are leading different music ministries, but I don't know that
they always have that confidence themselves.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
I'm not girl.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
First of all, let me just take a quick public
service announcement. Even though y'all can hear my voice, right,
I feel like this is the voice I've always desired
to have.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
It's not a bad thing.

Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
I just you know, I've always thought that whenever I spoke,
I was gonna speak like this.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
Anyway, He's granted my because.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Okay, but no, there are some people that just lack
the confidence, Joscelyn. What advice would you give them to
let them know that they are qualified to do what
God gifted them to do.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Let yourself go, Let yourself be free in God, live
in the freedom of God. Literally, and I'm gonna tell
you this, when it comes to being before is people,
it's a reflection of what you're doing private, period. That's it.
So if you go for blood in your prayer closet

(01:01:07):
and in your worship with Him at home, you can
blot out people, maybe close your eyes, look up and worship,
and what's in the room will be affected by what's
flowing out of you. That's it. If it's a you
and God, think the rest will take care of yourselves.
I wouldn't even put too much emphasis in Oh my God,
I get scared and I look at people. Don't worry

(01:01:28):
about them. Oh my God. You build your confidence in prayer,
You build your confidence in worship. If that's your priority,
you ain't got to worry about the rest. Everything else
will falling place the way it's supposed to. Keep your
passion from God, keep your intentions pure, keep it about God.

(01:01:50):
Don't make it about people, because a lot of times
that's where a lot of nerves and gas comes from.
We worried about the expectations of people. Folks can't save you, baby, nobody.
So you take the strength of God and what you
do in private and walking there, and you walking authority
that God has given you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
And people have been commenting too, so I definitely don't
want to end before we get a chance to hear
some of these comments.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Y'all have said some incredible advice. You walk with God,
don't worry about people. People can't save you. They don't
have any heaven or Hell to put us in.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
One way or the other.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
But what we do in private is what you heard
Jocelyn say. That's what's going to come out.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
When you get before the people, and God is calling
a remnant of people that have a heart for him.
That's right. It's not even the oh oh, it's not
even about the best voice. It ain't about the best one,
it's not. It's not even about the most stupid words.
God is calling people that have a heart for him

(01:02:54):
because we can dress up gifting, gifts and callings come
without repents.

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
People can send you on the table, preach you on
the table, play you under the table. It don't matter.
But if you don't have a heart forgot, it needs nothing.
So God is like it's like an even spiritual irrigation
going on where God is doing the way with the show,
with the showmanships and all of that. God is calling

(01:03:21):
for his his worshippers and people who are going to
worship authentically.

Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
In Him, that you come to Charlotte and then one
day just lead worship at our church one day.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Because listen, you called me, I'll come.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
Yeah, y'all got that old record right, Because she is
a woman, her work, all right, listen, let's go to
a few comments here. Oh my goodness, my mom is on.
That's Ellis Browley. She said, Oh my goodness, an awesome
song with a beautiful voice. I love it and she said, Yes,
I want more of Jesus.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Yeah you Jesus, and love Live says.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
I try to play this song every morning before I
start my day.
