verse thirteen. Now, I just wanting to talk about me
for one quick second. I'm a proud man, uh, And
sometimes I don't want to even say proud. What I

want to say is when I fasten my teeth onto
something or my hand on something, and.

I know that I got it, I got it.

And I run with it, and I've runed hard because
I believe that I'm I'm doing it. I'm being let

nine that says that we must confess with our mouth out.

Loud that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Right in fact,
can you read that Romans ten verse nine.

confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shout believe this.

straight to everybody's face, that you have to confess that
Jesus is Lord and Savior. You have to confess it,

So when we go around and we tell people, hey,
you want to get saved, Hey, you can say this prayer,
you can say the sentence prayer, right, you could say
this confession right, and then boom, You're saved, right right?

better way. Okay. In fact, my spiritual when I how
can I say this?

because it says in verse twenty three Proverbs twenty eight,
verse twenty three, what does it say bad?

But he who is slowly in spirit will obtain power.

Okay, So I had to eat a piece of humble pie.

once God made me to realize that some of it
was out of emotion. You see, we studied to show
ourselves approved, and sometimes we allow tradition to supersede even

studying the word for ourselves, or we take it for granted,
and then we run to it because our father has
taught us this. And then our great grandfathers and our grandfathers.
They all taught us this through the traditions of man,
and so we believe that it's correct, and so we
go out and then we then then we speak about it.

We preach it as far as the leaders are concerned.

But my spiritual father found out something that God was
telling me that.

I was going to be doing something different, and.

He told us, well, God was telling me in the
back of my mind that there's something more. So then
he That's how I know it's the Holy Spirit, because
he told us what the truth is. And so now
I know that there's more than what I taught last week.

into this. So we're talking about salvation. Last week we
were talking about confessing with your mouth or not. So
let's go to what first. We gotta go ovote who
is salvation for? Okay, who's salvation for? So if you
go to fet Timothy chapter one, verse three and four,

and most people would think that it's for Timothy ten
verse nine, it says you have to confess with your mouth.

get it, right, Okay, So let's come to answer. So
we know that salvations for every is for everybody. It's

How do you get it? Is it something we have
to work for, must be toil to get it? The

answer to that question is no, it's absolutely free.

You don't have to work for it at all.

So you say, well, what's the process.

If we don't have to work for it, then that's
all we know is to work. You gotta work, you
see what I'm saying to get anything you want, right,
But for this, you don't have to do anything. It's
a gift. It's a gift. Now, let me explain to
you about a gift.

My wife bought me a wonderful gift, which I'll explain
you all later on.

But she bought me a wonderful gift.

It's a gift that I always wanted, but I never
was able to get it, Okay, and she bought it
for me. I'll expand upon what it wasn't another time. Right,
But I always believed that I couldn't get this gift.
In order to get it, I knew I had to
have like three jobs to get it, Okay, whatever the case.

Anyway, she gave me the gift. So I got the gift.
It's a present, it's a gift. It's wonderful.

Well, what if I went out there and still had
to work? What if I went out there and still
found three jobs to get that gift? She already gave
it to me. So why am I going out there
to hustle and bustle to get three jobs to get
the gift that she already gave to me. That's what

the gift is. That's what salvation is. Salvation is a gift.
You don't have to do anything. Ephesians two, verse eight
and nine tells it to you, And the New Living Translation.

It says God saves you by his grace when you believe.
And you can't take credit for this. It is a
gift from God. Yes, salvation is not a reward for
the good things we have done. So none of us
can boast about it.

So the gift that my wife gave me, I can't
boast about that. I can't say I got it because
she got it for me. She got it for me
if I work three jobs or whatever the case, and
saved up as much as I could, no matter what
she already got it for me.

But the free gift of God is eternal life in

Faith is belief, right, you believe right, and that that
this gift was gotten through the eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Not the next thing to do is confess it.

the little kittens out of the tree forever in life.
That does not equal to salvation. That all of that
is your own works, that's your own effort, that's your
own doings.

Okay, So again, through what means are we saved? Let's
go to John nineteen, verse thirty and an NIV transition.

to another scripture, Acts four, verse eleven twelve and the

said to her, go call your husband and come here.
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus
said to her, you have well said I have no husband,
for you have five husbands, and the one whom you
now have is not your husband.

are a prophet of all this worship on this mountain.
And you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place

neither on this mountain nor Jerusalem worshiped Father. You worship

For the Father is seeking such to worship him. God

Jesus said to her, I who speak to you, am

do you see or why are you talking with her.
The woman then left her water power, went her way

a man who told me all things that I ever
did could dispute the Christ. Then they went out to
the city and came to him, and many of the

Samaritans of that city believed in him because of the
word of the woman. Who testified, He told me all
that I ever did. So when the Samaritans had come
to him, they urged him to stay with them, and
he stayed there for two days, and many more believed
because of his own word. Then they said to the woman,

now we believe not because of what you said, for
we ourselves have heard him and me know that this
is indeed the Christ, the savior of the world. Let
me stop right there. Did they say the sentence prayer?
Did they say the salvation prayer?

All of these individuals had faith, okay, and whatever they
had was excavated from their bodies. Okay. Why because they

because I really want to make my point. It's basically
about the man that that the four individuals had let
let down.

Okay, who was paralyzed from birth right he could he
he could have walked.

And they laid him down. They let him down right through.

They couldn't get to Jesus. So they went to the
top the what was it, it was like the house,
or wouldn't yes get to him? After their faith exactly?

They put him? Yeah, and and and so he saved them.

And that's going right in verse twenty because it says him,
it says just what you just.

Said about seeing And what did it say in verse
twenty when.

Jesus saw their faith, he says the man, friend.

Your sins are forgiven for a given salvation just from
just from him seeing seeing them, he saw their faith.

Now look look, loo, look at the ones that didn't
have the faith. Verse twenty one.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
The teachers of the law, the teachers of the law,
and the proud religious lawkeepers thought to themselves, who is
this man who speaks as if he is God, who
can forgive sins? But God who can forgive sins? But
God only Jesus knew what they were thinking. He knew
because he's a prophet. He said to them, why do
you think this way in your hearts?

Look, he saw disbelief in their hearts. He saw a
lack of faith in their hearts. Right, why do you
think this way in your hearts? Which is easy to
say your sins are forgiven, or get up and walk?
So he forgave them. He forgave the sins first. He
forgave the sins first. That's salvation. Then look what it
says so that twenty four. So that you may know

the son of Man has the right and the power
on earth to forgive sins. He said to the man
who couldnot move his body, I say to you, get up,
take your bed, and go to your home. At once,
the sick man got up in front of him. He
took his bed and went to his home, thanking God.
All those who were there were surprised and gave thanks
(35:44):
to God, saying, we have seen very special things today. Okay,
So what happened? He gave salvation first to the man,
and then saved the man, and then and then yield
the man. He gave salvation first and then healed the man,
and the man the man didn't even say anything, but.

He believed he had faith. Hey hey, hey, hey, look
look he didn't hear the teachers of the law. He
didn't say them why they had disbelief. They had disbelief.

to Romans ten, verse nine, and.

What does it say.

It says that if thou shall confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that
God hath raised in front of death, thou shall be saved.
But with the heart man believing unto righteous and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Okay, so here
we go. This scripture does not mean that you have

to confess with your mouth unto salvation. The main crux,
the crux of the situation, the crux of this whole thing,
is to believe in your heart, only you don't have
to confess it. What it's saying here, what Paul was
(37:19):
trying to say here was when you're saved, when sorry,
when you believe you are saved, and then through your
salvation you talk about the goodness of God, you talk
(37:40):
about the goodness of the Gospel.

You talk about your salvation to others, just like the
woman that the world did, just like the.
Speaker 10 (37:51):
Woman who was about to be stone did, just like
the man who got a say who the paralyzed did
that and people believed.

an aha moment that everybody has who.

Decides to believe.

The teachers of the law didn't get it, the Pharisees
didn't get it, the sata Sees didn't get it.

where there's a moment in your life where you get it.

who believed in Islam, who believed in the Dow religion,
who believed in Egyptology. Can a person like me follow Jesus?

my moment. When I got it was when I saw

a sister that was teaching me about Christ, when she
said that Christ is going to do She was in
a situation and she said, Christ is going to do
this for her. Christ is going to do that for her,
and He's going to get her out this way and
that way. And I was like, yeah, all right, and
I just watched, yep, and I just watched, and he

got her out of every situation right before my eyes.
That's I said, I need to I need to get
this man in my life.

So when it came time for me to go into.

The church, I believe when I came, when it came
time for me to see all them praying and tongues,
I didn't freak out because I already believed. That's how
God was able to tell me before I went up
to get saved.

But when I went up to to to the pope.

It that's how come he was able to say to me,
I'm going to be a pastor he said it to
me before I went up to the pulpit, because.

I already believed in my heart. I already believed in

So I'm saying to you that you don't have to
say the sentence prayer. You don't have to say the
salvation prayer. Okay, I'm saying it.

Was if you believed, then at some point in time,
you're going to say it to others just so that
they'll be able to receive Christ as well.

You've been saying at the end of the show that
you can get salvation by saying this, yeah, you still
can get salvation because obviously you still believe, and now
you're still saying it. But what I'm saying is is
that it's not a prerequisite that you have to do it.

want salvation because they can't speak. They can't speak, so
how so so what about them?

might you have to confess with your mouth. Even Jesus
didn't say that, So gus what you don't have to

say it.

Now you can still say it and receive salvation.

You can still say it, but it's not a prerequisite.

If you believe in your heart that you're saved, and
guess what you are saying. If you believe, say, if
you believe that Jesus sacrifices life on the cross, then
you are saved.

If you want to say it with somebody, is what
I'm saying.

You can if you want to say it in the
trait you can.

You want to say it around the witness, you can.

But if you don't want to.

Say it around anybody, you don't have to.

Because God knows what's in your heart. And that's just
like Jesus saw what was in their heart. God sees
what's in your heart as long as you believe.

So then when somebody comes up they say you believe
Jesus Lord saved, he say, yeah, of course I do.

Well, who doesn't you see what I'm saying.

You're confessing with your mouth when you go out there
and you give some when you tell somebody about the
testimony like they like these individuals did in the Bible.
You're confessing with your mouth when you say Jesus loves you.
You're confessing with your mouth when you tell the goodness
that Jesus has done for you.

You're confessing with your mouth. That's good.

Lord, thanking you for being the right standing with you

nine that says that we must confess with our mouth out.

Loud that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Right in fact,
can you read that Romans ten verse nine.

Sure that if that excuse me, that if that shout
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shout believe this.

And shout believe in thine heart that God has.

And there's a whole set of Christianity that also believes that.
So I came on because I know what the Word
tells me. The Word is telling me straight to my faith,
straight to everybody's face, that you have to confess that
Jesus is Lord and Savior. You have to confess it,
what it's it. You have to believe in your heart

and confess with your mouth.

So when we go around and we tell people, hey,
you want to get saved, Hey, you can say this prayer,
you can say the sentence prayer, right, you could say
this confession right, and then boom, You're saved, right right?

better way. Okay. In fact, my spiritual when I how
can I say this?

because it says in verse twenty three Proverbs twenty eight,
verse twenty three, what does it say bad?

It says one's pride will bring him low.

But he who is slowly in spirit will obtain power.

Okay, So I had to eat a piece of humble pie.
I had to eat a piece of humble pie because
once God made me to realize that some of it
was out of emotion. You see, we studied to show
ourselves approved, and sometimes we allow tradition to supersede even

studying the word for ourselves, or we take it for granted,
and then we run to it because our father has
taught us this. And then our great grandfathers and our grandfathers.
They all taught us this through the traditions of man,
and so we believe that it's correct, and so we
go out and then we then then we speak about it.

We preach it as far as the leaders are concerned.

But my spiritual father found out something that God was
telling me that.

I was going to be doing something different, and.

Then he told us before.

He told us, well, God was telling me in the
back of my mind that there's something more. So then
he That's how I know it's the Holy Spirit, because
he told us what the truth is. And so now
I know that there's more than what I taught last week.
So let's let's let's let's dig into this. Let's dig

into this. So we're talking about salvation. Last week we
were talking about confessing with your mouth or not. So
let's go to what first. We gotta go ovote who
is salvation for? Okay, who's salvation for? So if you
go to fet Timothy chapter one, verse three and four,

people to be saved and to come to the knowledge
of the truth.

That means that there's a process.

Okay, God wants everybody to be saved, So that means
people are not saved, but there's a process.

To becoming saved.

There is a process that you have to go through, okay,
and most people would think that it's for Timothy ten
verse nine, it says you have to confess with your mouth.

After you believe being hot. Right, all right, so we

You see that salvation is for everyone all anyone can
get it, right, Okay, So let's come to answer. So
we know that salvations for every is for everybody. It's
open invitation for everybody. Okay, But now is it earned?
How do you get it? Is it something we have
to work for, must be toil to get it? The

answer to that question is no, it's absolutely free.

You don't have to work for it at all.

So you say, well, what's the process.

If we don't have to work for it, then that's
all we know is to work. You gotta work, you
see what I'm saying to get anything you want, right,
But for this, you don't have to do anything. It's
a gift. It's a gift. Now, let me explain to
you about a gift.

My wife bought me a wonderful gift, which I'll explain
you all later on.

But she bought me a wonderful gift.

It's a gift that I always wanted, but I never
was able to get it, Okay, and she bought it
for me. I'll expand upon what it wasn't another time. Right,
But I always believed that I couldn't get this gift.
In order to get it, I knew I had to
have like three jobs to get it, Okay, whatever the case.

Anyway, she gave me the gift. So I got the gift.
It's a present, it's a gift. It's wonderful.

Well, what if I went out there and still had
to work? What if I went out there and still
found three jobs to get that gift? She already gave
it to me. So why am I going out there
to hustle and bustle to get three jobs to get
the gift that she already gave to me. That's what

the gift is. That's what salvation is. Salvation is a gift.
You don't have to do anything. Ephesians two, verse eight
and nine tells it to you, And the New Living Translation.

It says God saves you by his grace when you believe.
And you can't take credit for this. It is a
gift from God. Yes, salvation is not a reward for
the good things we have done. So none of us
can boast about it.

So the gift that my wife gave me, I can't
boast about that. I can't say I got it because
she got it for me. She got it for me
if I work three jobs or whatever the case, and
saved up as much as I could, no matter what
she already got it for me.

I don't need to do it. It's something that's already done.

Read it out of the King's Ephesians two, verse eight

That was Ephesians chapter two, verse eight that I read.
Now we're going to Romans chapter six, verse twenty three.
And the es fee for the wages of sin is death.
But the free gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

So where where do we get it from?

I get it from Christ, Jesus our Lord.

So with that being said, you would think that you
go so to this's a process right.

We don't have to work.

You don't have to work for this process, right, And it's.

A gift, right, it's a gift, and the gift is
from the eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Right,
all right, So then that would mean that you go
back to Romans ten verse nine. That says that that's
enough that we believe.

Right. It says, for by grace you have been saved
through faith.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Faith is belief, right, you believe right, and that that
this gift was gotten through the eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Right, it's a free gift. Right, so we will sell.
So you got the you got the belief in your heart.
Not the next thing to do is confess it.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
As Romans ten verse nine says, you confess that, right,
and then.

Boom, you're safe.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Right, all right, So now it says go to Romans
for verse for the version again, was it saying.

Now to the one who works, his wages are not
counted as a gift, but as his.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Do exactly, So you can work till your drop.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
I'm sorry, excuse me, thank you, thank you. You can
work to your drop. You can do whatever it is,
you can do, whatever good deed you want to do.
Whatever the case, that does not equal up to salvation.
In Christ. You can hold the door open for all
the old women in the world, you can carry old
(20:44):
men on your back across the street. You can say
the little kittens out of the tree forever in life.
That does not equal to salvation. That all of that
is your own works, that's your own effort, that's your
own doings.

Those are your own. That's not how you get salvation understood, understood?

Okay, So again, through what means are we saved? Let's
go to John nineteen, verse thirty and an NIV transition.

Was it say when he had received a drink, Jesus said,
it is finished with that.

He bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

So it's only through his spirit. It's only through his
spirit that we got saved. Okay, it's only through his
spirit that one could get saved. There is nothing that
we could have done, There's no price we could have paid.

There was nothing because he did it all right. He
said it's finished right, and that was it. And to
give a more background, a more of a let's go
to another scripture, Acts four, verse eleven twelve and the
English ESV.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you,

Become the cornerstone. And there is salvation, and no one

We must be saved.

that backs everything that we're talking about.

can we receive salvation? Now?

How can we receive this gift? How can we get
this eternal life in Christ? How can we grasp at
this salvation?

Romans ten, verse nine says what we get it by
believing in our heart and with our mouth, believe in
our heart, confessing my mouth.

The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus

At this point his disciples came, and they marveled that
he talked with a woman. Yet no one said, what
do you see or why are you talking with her.
The woman then left her water power, went her way
into the city and said to the man, come see
a man who told me all things that I ever

we ourselves have heard him and me know that this

me stop right there. Did they say the sentence prayer?
Did they say the salvation prayer?

And that's going right in verse twenty because it says him,
it says just what you just.

Said about seeing And what did it say in verse
twenty when.

Jesus saw their faith, he says the man, friend.

Your sins are forgiven for a given salvation just from
just from him seeing seeing them, he saw their faith.

Now look look, loo, look at the ones that didn't
have the faith. Verse twenty one.

The teachers of the law, the teachers of the law,
and the proud religious lawkeepers thought to themselves, who is
this man who speaks as if he is God, who
can forgive sins? But God who can forgive sins? But
God only Jesus knew what they were thinking. He knew
because he's a prophet. He said to them, why do
you think this way in your hearts?

Look, he saw disbelief in their hearts. He saw a
lack of faith in their hearts. Right, why do you
think this way in your hearts? Which is easy to
say your sins are forgiven, or get up and walk?

says so that twenty four. So that you may know

the son of Man has the right and the power
on earth to forgive sins. He said to the man
who couldnot move his body, I say to you, get up,
take your bed, and go to your home. At once,
the sick man got up in front of him. He
took his bed and went to his home, thanking God.
All those who were there were surprised and gave thanks

to God, saying, we have seen very special things today. Okay,
So what happened? He gave salvation first to the man,
and then saved the man, and then and then yield
the man. He gave salvation first and then healed the man,
and the man the man didn't even say anything, but.

didn't say them why they had disbelief. They had disbelief.

But with the heart man believing unto righteous and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Okay, so here
we go. This scripture does not mean that you have

to confess with your mouth unto salvation. The main crux,
the crux of the situation, the crux of this whole thing,
is to believe in your heart, only you don't have
to confess it. What it's saying here, what Paul was
(37:19):
trying to say here was when you're saved, when sorry,
when you believe you are saved, and then through your
salvation you talk about the goodness of God, you talk
(37:40):
about the goodness of the Gospel.

You talk about your salvation to others, just like the
woman that the world did, just like the.

Woman who was about to be stone did, just like
the man who got a say who the paralyzed did
that and people believed.

got her out of every situation right before my eyes.
That's I said, I need to I need to get
this man in my life.

time for me to see all them praying and tongues,
I didn't freak out because I already believed. That's how
God was able to tell me before I went up
to get saved.

It that's how come he was able to say to me,
I'm going to be a pastor he said it to
me before I went up to the pulpit, because.

So I'm saying to you that you don't have to
say the sentence prayer. You don't have to say the
salvation prayer. Okay, I'm saying it.

Was if you believed, then at some point in time,
you're going to say it to others just so that
they'll be able to receive Christ as well.

You've been saying at the end of the show that
you can get salvation by saying this, yeah, you still
can get salvation because obviously you still believe, and now

that it's not a prerequisite that you have to do it.

want salvation because they can't speak. They can't speak, so
how so so what about them?

In the in the last chapter of Matthew, what did
Jesus say? Jesus said to go out and make disciples
of everybody, right, and he nowhere else in the except
Romans ten, doesn't say confessed with that mouth, and you
might you have to confess with your mouth. Even Jesus
didn't say that, So gus what you don't have to

say it.

Now you can still say it and receive salvation.

You can still say it, but it's not a prerequisite.

If you believe in your heart that you're saved, and
guess what you are saying. If you believe, say, if
you believe that Jesus sacrifices life on the cross, then
you are saved.

If you want to say it with somebody, is what
I'm saying.

You can if you want to say it in the
trait you can.

You want to say it around the witness, you can.

But if you don't want to.

Say it around anybody, you don't have to.

Because God knows what's in your heart. And that's just
like Jesus saw what was in their heart. God sees
what's in your heart as long as you believe.

So then when somebody comes up they say you believe
Jesus Lord saved, he say, yeah, of course I do.

Well, who doesn't you see what I'm saying.

You're confessing with your mouth when you go out there
and you give some when you tell somebody about the
testimony like they like these individuals did in the Bible.
You're confessing with your mouth when you say Jesus loves you.
You're confessing with your mouth when you tell the goodness
that Jesus has done for you.

You're confessing with your mouth. That's good.
