Episode Title: The Pastoral Journey – Part 3: How It All Started
Hosts: Pastors Duane Matthews & Kea Matthews (the devilSlayers)
Scripture Focus: Ephesians 4:11-14
Topic: The Pastoral Journey, PT. 3: How It All Started

Episode Overview:
In this insightful episode of The Love Chapters, Pastors Duane and Kea Matthews continue their series, The Pastoral Journey, with Part 3, titled How It All Started. Focusing on Ephesians 4:11-14, they explore how God equips and calls individuals into ministry and the importance of embracing that calling. Through their personal stories, they reflect on the origins of their ministry and how they responded to God's call to become pastors and leaders.

Key Scripture:"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
— Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Key Discussion Points:
  1. The Fivefold Ministry:
    • Pastors Duane and Kea break down the roles mentioned in Ephesians 4:11—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—and how each role is essential for building up the body of Christ. They share personal reflections on how they identified their calling within this framework.
  2. God's Calling and the Early Days of Ministry:
    • The pastors recall how their pastoral journey began, including their initial fears and doubts. They discuss how God spoke to them and provided opportunities for service, leading them to embrace their roles as pastors and spiritual leaders.
  3. Equipping the Saints:
    • A central theme of the discussion is how pastors and leaders are meant to "equip" others for the work of ministry. Duane and Kea emphasize the importance of empowering others to use their gifts and talents for the kingdom of God.
  4. Spiritual Maturity and Unity:
    • Drawing from Ephesians 4:13-14, the pastors explain how the ultimate goal of ministry is to bring believers to spiritual maturity and unity in the faith. They talk about the role of pastors in guiding people to grow in their understanding of Christ and become fully grounded in their faith.
  5. Challenges in the Early Ministry:
    • The devilSlayers share personal stories of the challenges they faced early in their ministry, including moments of uncertainty and obstacles that tested their faith. They offer practical advice for those who feel called to ministry but may be struggling with doubt or fear.
  • Kea Matthews: "God calls us not because we are perfect, but because He has a perfect plan for our lives. Our journey started when we said ‘yes’ to His call, even though we didn’t know what the future would hold."
  • Duane Matthews: "Ephesians 4 reminds us that the role of a pastor isn’t just to preach but to equip others to walk in their purpose. Ministry is about building the body of Christ, and it all starts with answering His call."
Takeaways:
  • God equips each of us for service in His kingdom. Recognize and embrace your calling, whether it's as a pastor, teacher, or in another ministry role.
  • Spiritual maturity is an ongoing process. Be open to growing in faith and knowledge, as guided by the Holy Spirit and spiritual leaders.
  • Ministry is not a solo journey—it’s about equipping others to walk in their calling as well.

Time to just acknowledge you, Father, as our Lord and savior.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Those that can have confessed you, and and and acknowledge
you as Lord and savior.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Father.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
We just recognize you right now in this moment, Father,
not just as our Lord and savior who has saved
us from sin. Father, saved us from death, saved us
from hell, saved us from sickness.

Speaker 7 (06:43):
Father, But you also have so many other hats.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
But most of all, Father, we're just grateful and thankful
to be living in the land that that that it
has been blessed, and that you've created Father, and that
we get to breathe this air. Lord, and every day
we wake up as a blessing Father.

Speaker 7 (07:03):
So I'm thanking you, and we just want to give thanks.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Father. We thank you for being a counselor being a helper, Father,
correcting us when we need to be corrected. Father, and
we thank you for your unmerited favor your unmetted grace,
grace that we don't even deserve. Lord, blessed, because you've
bestole upon us, lavishing us with your love daily, but
benefits that we.

Speaker 7 (07:25):
Don't even deserve.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
Lord.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
But it's just because you love us, Father, not because
of anything that we've done, but because you love us.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
And for that love, we just want to say thank
you tonight.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I'm asking that you extend your love tonight to somebody
that needs to hear it. Father, your mercy tonight, Father
that is extended by the sound of my voice. Father,
I'm thanking you right now a point of being a
point of contact to somebody needs to hear a word
from you. They're in a situation and they don't know.
They're teeter tottering and they don't know which way to

(07:55):
go or whether even maybe some woman's in an abusive
relationship and she's contemplating what is her next Stepfather, I.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
Thank you that ears will be open tonight.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
To hear what you have to say. Father, and Jesus name,
we pray, Amen, Amen.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
And amen amen amen.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
And before we begin, you know, and just so it's
talk about the homeless, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
The needy. What what do you call them the needy?
Is it the proper?

Speaker 7 (08:25):
There's a there's quite a few terminologies.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
The misplaced, Okay, you know.

Speaker 7 (08:34):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, I how can I say this? But you know,
I get to see the homeless up close and personal
cause I work in transit.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
I mean, who doesn't see them?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
But you know, I see these individuals, you know this,
sleeping on.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
The floor, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
On the ground, I mean the dirty subway grounds, all right.
And when they sleep, you can see the pain in
their sleep. You can see the pain that they're dealing
with it, and sleep their faces are like contorted and

(09:19):
and all.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
And then you know, I just.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Got to start that they're gonna they're gonna pass away
m hm, and they're gonna have a no name grave
and they're just gonna be forgotten about here today, going
to marow.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
Just like that.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
And I can almost see myself bulling towards tears when
I see those the homeless out there. You see, we
are so blessed, whether it saved or not. Right, we
are so blessed to be able to wake up and bed.
We're so blessed to be able to know the time,

(10:05):
because they don't know the time. They don't even have watches.
They don't have cell phones. Okay, we are blessed to
have cell phones. We're blessed to wake up knowing that
we're gonna yet to eat eventually. You know, we could
we could wash our face. We have soap, clean water,
all right. You know, maybe you're running around, but just

(10:29):
two pairs of shoes. But at least you got two
pairs of shoes. At least you got a pair of shoes.
They're walking around barefoot, they're walking around with out of
bed walking around.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Just imagine when it gets cold, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
And I'm just saying, have it in your heart that
if you could give to them, please do so. I mean,
you know, I mean you don't necessarily necessarily have to
give them money, but you know, if you could give
them an extra shirt you might have, or you know,
if you could give him some food or yeah, maybe

(11:04):
you know, all the all the clothes that we might
throw out because we don't need them. You know, maybe
you could find somebody to give it, get you know,
homeless person to give it, give them to. You know,
I'm just saying, just look within your heart and look
within your heart to want to give and also be thankful.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (11:25):
Amen, and that's all part of just.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Walking out the ministry of Jesus being his hands and feet.
You know, when it's all said and done, we are
His hands and feet in the earth. And that is
also part of our calling as believers and pastors.

Speaker 7 (11:44):
Whatever. I'm not going to say five fold anymore, I'm
going to say fourfold. Ministry.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Office that you've been appointed to God still requires that
of all of us. He requires that of all of us.
And it's a part of what it is to serve
like he serves, serving one to another. The Bible says,
if we do it to the least of him, we've
least of them.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
We've done it unto him.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
So don't forget those when you're walking that are I need.
You know, when you're giving to those the poor, you're
giving and you're actually giving unto the Lord.

Speaker 7 (12:17):
That's what the scriptures say. Your religion is pure religion.
When you're giving to.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
What did it say, widows? You know you're sending your
time and you're visiting, That is pure religion. Doing the
works of Christ what he did. Study the gospels if
you want to know truly what Jesus did.

Speaker 7 (12:38):
When you walk the.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Earth, he was all about serving other people and serving
the Father doesn't mean you can't have fun, but you know,
to really get down to the natigritty of who Jesus was.
Read the gospels, capture his heart, catch his heart, and
he had a heart of compassion.

Speaker 7 (12:56):
So we thank God for that. And that's what it takes.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
My husband's doing a series on the pastoral journey. There's
a mindset, there's a there's a heart of compassion that
follows you when you're following in the footsteps of Christ
and the pastoral journey.

Speaker 7 (13:10):
Because Jesus had a heart of compassion.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
He healed everybody all he healed, and that's what the
words said, he will. There were drolls and just imagine
people like pulling on you, Jesus, Jesus, you know what
I'm saying, so like let me.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
Alone, like I'm tired, like you know, but he didn't.
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Our Savior was just so patient with everyone who came
into his path. And we have to remember, I apologize
as ministers that you know, it's about people first. It's
not about our brand, it's not about the likes, it's
not we have to come back to the to the

(13:49):
foundation of true ministry and what it is. You know,
it's not about being a celebrity. It's not about being famous,
about making Jesus famous.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
You know.

Speaker 7 (13:58):
So we have to remember who is at the foundation
and the core of it all. Christ.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
That's indeed, Amen, Amen, I think this is a moment
to just get from praise.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
Hallelujah. Thank you Father.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
We thank you for your magnificence, your omnipotence.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (14:25):

We thank you for your instructions, your instruction man, which
is the Bible. Let me thank you, Father, God, that

(15:02):
we could that we are blessed to be able to
uh spread the good news. What the Word says about
your grace, your Father and Jesus, who is the manifested
essence of your grace in the flesh.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Yes, Hellelijah, and we thank.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
And I'm going to go on the limb and say
it's already done.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
It's already done. I declare divorces dead than you, Father.
We thought that they're there. Their name was signed on
the on the on the on the line of divorce.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
I declare all your differences or workout in the name
of Jesus. Halleen, hallelujah, hallelujah. I declare and decree, thank you, Father,
that your debt is demolished in the name of Jesus.

Speaker 10 (20:02):
You don't even call it your debt. The debt is demolished.
Have a testimony to talk about. Hallelujah. And guess what
the best is yet to come. Glory that God, the
best is yet to come. Your coup is about to overflow.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Amen, in the mighty matchless names of Jesus, hallelujah, Glory
to God.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
I don't know who that was for, just know there's
Jesus faith in you that gets you to and man,
it's not even your faith, it's Jesus faith. Hallelujah. Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
God deposited his faith in you. You don't think it's yours,
thank it's Jesus faith. Amen, Amen, Amen. Deuteronomy forever, whatever
you're going through, Look what it says, right, you don't
have to be afraid. You you you, You said it baby, right.

(21:11):
It says do not fear. In the Bible about three
hundred and summer times sixty five times and sixty five.

Speaker 11 (21:18):
God gave you a whole year. God gave you a
whole year of reminding you that you don't have to fear.
If you go to Deuteronomy thirty one, verse six to eight,
we're going to be reading from the ESV version, because

(21:39):
here it is if he ain't, if he ain't saying
don't fear, he's saying it in a different way, which
is more than three hundred and sixty something ways. Right,
what what what does Doudonomy thirty one, six to eight
in the es V version say, bad.

Speaker 7 (21:55):
Be strong, courageous.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
Start right there, right there? What does that mean? Don't fear? Right?

Speaker 2 (22:01):
If you if if the opposite of ye, yeah, Look
what that what what it's saying is right, that's a
that's a that's an order, that is a direct, direct order.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
Right, command yep, yep, yep. So where it says where
the Bible says, never fear or you don't have to worry,
don't fear.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
You know, it's saying, here, be strong and creatives that
you know that you know right there is there's a
reason why it's saying that.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
Oh look what it says in the next line. I
was just saying.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
The next line, man, then it says, do not or
be in dread of them.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Who them them constitutes too, I'm saying in today's finnacular,
in today's time, them them is what I just prayed against,
what I just confess against, what I just declared the
queen against, against the debt, against sickness, against whatever condition

(23:03):
that you're.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
Suffering from, against the bullies. I don't know everything I
said in the prayer, I don't remember, but those are
those are them?

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Those are them because those things, those things could be
so overwhelming, those things could be so those things could
be the bully in your life. Those things could be
the giants in your life, the mountains of your life
that you could just be looking up at, like you
look up at a life who was nine feet tall
and you're five foot two. I'd be like, oh my God,

(23:33):
and and and was the word. The Word is telling
you do not fair, in fact, in fact saying morning,
do not fear, saying be strong and courageous. So when
the times that are the worst, in the situation, the
issues and the challenges of trivulations that you find yourself in,
the Word tells you to be strong and courageous.

Speaker 6 (23:53):
How tough is that?

Speaker 1 (23:55):
When it's a situation you find yourself in, and maybe
it's a conversation that you to have with the superior
or you know you, it says, do not dread.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
Sometimes we dread conversations.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
We dread we were afraid to address maybe conflict. Or
he's saying, right here, do not dread them, whoever them
is in your life. You know you can identify that
now in place the scripture there, don't fear because why
it says, for it is the Lord your God will

(24:29):
goes with you.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
Let me, let me, let me just let me just
say this, right, so right, it's telling. It's telling, it's
telling you. The scripture is telling you.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
The first thing it says is to be strong and courageous.
Then it says, do not fear or be in dread. Okay,
so what this is?

Speaker 6 (24:55):
What?

Speaker 3 (24:56):
This is?

Speaker 6 (24:56):
What? Because fear and dread is an emotion, those emotions, right, However,
being strong and courageous are also emotions.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
It's emotions. And then there are verbs. What do you
call it as an adjective?

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Verb is a verb?

Speaker 7 (25:15):
Adjective and verb are two different things.

Speaker 6 (25:17):
Well do the adjective or ever ever? Ever an ever?
It's an action word? Right? Okay?

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Ever, okay, anyway it describes it describes a verb.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
It described an averb describes a verb.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Okay, So what what's happening is is that, right, be
strong and courageous are actions and feelings?

Speaker 6 (25:39):
They are sorry, there are actions.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Their thoughts that there are thoughts that convey themselves into
feelings that then conveys themselves into actions. Okay, and so
and so it's a choice that you have to make.
It's a choice. It's a choice because right so so

(26:04):
so that we was talking about this in the week
and over the weekend, that emotions are triggered by thoughts.

Speaker 6 (26:16):
What are you thinking about? Right?

Speaker 2 (26:20):
So here in the scripture, God is challenging you. God
is challenging you to find a place that that where
where you could be triggered to have dread and fear

(26:40):
at those times he's telling you to be strong and courageous.
So now on you have to be strong and courageous.
So it's a thought process first, and then it's an
action that follows after that. Okay, here is a good
example of being stronger and courageous. When Goliath confronted the Israelites.

(27:05):
Goliath confronted the whole army of Israelites. It was philistine,
he could they confronted the whole army of Israelites, and
the whole army of Israelites did the did the total
opposite of being stronger and courageous.

Speaker 6 (27:20):
They were fearful.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
They they were triggered by the sight of Goliath, and
they were in dread and Golife was telling them, y'all
gonna be all slaves by the night out what and
they were all shook to their core.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
And then here comes David. David were out a thought
once he saw the life.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
He said, who is this uncircumcised ninja threatening the camp?
And you know what, they told David quite quiet, don't
say tho, saying what are you doing?

Speaker 6 (28:01):
What are you doing? You're just a sheep sheep boy?
You see what I'm saying, and he was like, nah, nah,
hold up, hold up, I'm out there breaking.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Bear's backs and lions jaws, and the lions and the
bears at that time was larger than Goliath. So he
was like, hen is I'm saying, these fools over here,
and this guy, this big fool over here, is straightening, y'all, y'all.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
Gonna take that.

Speaker 12 (28:29):
He's like, man, that that that giant's head is gonna
be served on the platter by the nighth okay.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
And so what he did was he was strong and
courageous in the face of a goliath, in the face
of a bully. He understood what it says in the
next line where it is the Lord your God who
goes with you, he knew who God was gonna be
with him. Amen, Amen, Amen, hollelujah. And look what it said, Yes,
look says David knew. It says he will not leave

(29:03):
you or for.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
That's a popular scripture there, I will never leave you,
nor forsake it. That's also repeated multiple times throughout scriptures.

Speaker 6 (29:15):
Amen. Amen, Amen. So I say that as to say,
and then right, if you go to verse.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Verse eight, right, it says it is the Lord who
goes before you, he will be with you. So not
only do the DoD the Lord go be with you,
but he will be before you too as a protect,
as a protection. And it says, look what it says,
he will not leave you or forsake you. And look
what it says in the end, do not feel or
be dismayed. I don't care what yore going through. This

(29:53):
is what the Lord is saying. There's a reason. There's
a reason he's telling you this.

Speaker 6 (29:58):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
So what ever you're facing, whatever it is, just might
be gossip that's bothering you. Think about what you're thinking about.
Think about the scripture dud HYMI thirty one for six
to eight. Ponder on it, meditate on it, think on it,

(30:19):
pray on it, and then put it up on your
mantle and look at it every day that you go
through the issue. Now, when you do this, you are
just you're inspiring yourself the same way David did. You're
inspiring yourself knowing that God got you. Yes see, because when.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
You're in the flesh, right, when you're in the flesh,
you're going to go through flesh things.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
It is going to happen. And with you going through.
So you're going to go through it. And that's why God,
God had this scripture, has this scripture written for you,
so then when you go through it, you are able
to know how to battle against it. You see, because
a lot of us that give into the dismay and

(31:09):
give into the fear, that give into the dread. Do
you know that if David hadn't stepped up is your
life would have been slaves again. The Israelites would have
been slaves again because they would have gave in to
the fear. They would have gave into the dismay. It
would have gave it to the dread. And it took
a little boy like Davids, David, he was worth thirteen
eleven nine something like that, right to come in and

(31:30):
totally remind them of who they were. Right because after
they he defeated Goliath, the Philistines.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
Headed for the hills. They headed for the hills. So
these we could call the scriptures like the scriptures in
a way where they were a branch of Jesus. David
was the branch of Jesus.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Okay, So every time when you are fed with the giant,
think about King David. Think about when he was a
little boy. Think about what he did, and then think
about him being a branch of Jesus, and then think
about what Jesus did. Jesus faced the biggest bully in
the world. He faced, He faced the Roman Empire, He

(32:21):
faced the He faced the scourging of the Roman Empire
with the turning.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
Of the back of the Israelite nation.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
The israel Like nation turned their back on them and
left them to hang out and dry.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
He caught the He caught the worst end of the
stick and man.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
And that's why we have his faith, because if it
was our faith we were, we wouldn't lasted.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
We wouldn't last today if it wasn't for Jesus.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
So so with that being said, and getting back, okay
to where we were we were supposed to be going.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
We were talking about a lot of stuff. I was
talking about a lot of stuff last week. But the
main thing that I was talking about, the clock stuff.
What what I was talking about was the the the.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
You're talking about the Sinner's prayer.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yeah, yeah, there was a tone that the guy gave
me uh uh uh saved or saved saved or not.
I think it was the title that he gave me.
Are you saved or not? What makes you saved? What
makes you saved?

Speaker 6 (33:34):
Right?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
And I was telling you guys last week that uh uh,
that Holy Spirit uh was working. He was talking to me.
I knew that I had gotten saved. I realized that

(33:57):
I had gotten saved without saying the sentence prayer. Right, Okay,
I realize that now I can say that, now that
I've been through it and having experienced it, I can
now discuss it.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
And it was past the past shoutside of the past prayer,
flodala who made us aware of the simple fact that
you don't actually have to say the Sundation prayer in
order to be saved, because God reads your heart.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Okay, God reads your heart.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
And and I can succinctly, succinctly remember hearing God talk
to me.

Speaker 6 (34:46):
Before I went up to the pulpit to to to
get salvation, I was already saved. Okay.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
So you already believe. So your action was following your
heart when you were walking up.

Speaker 7 (35:05):
You believe you caught it and you followed through.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yes, Because I'm gonna tell you right now, when when
when I saw my feet and I check it, when
I saw my feet walking.

Speaker 6 (35:19):
Up to the pulpit.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Okay, now I'm not stretching on strong, but what I'm
saying I'm tall, but not that tall. What I'm saying
is that the arm reason why I knew that I
was walking to the pulpit was because the person I
came with they said, you're going up to get saved.
And then I looked down and I saw my feet
walking up, and I was like, I was.

Speaker 6 (35:40):
Like, I guess I am, because I wasn't. I can't.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
I can't even describe it, accept the simple fact that
I know that I was being led up.

Speaker 6 (35:57):
There had to be Holy Spirit.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
That had to be Holy Spirit, okay, and and and
and and and so I was led by the promptings
of the Holy Spirit before I knew what the Holy
Spirit was.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
Okay, Not only that, not.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Only now I realized why I was able to speak
in tongues so fast, because I was being prompted that
whole time. The Holy Spirit wanted me to go up
to that pulpit. And once I started speaking in tongues,
I couldn't stop.

Speaker 6 (36:31):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
So, as a matter of fact, as a side note,
when you notice, when you notice whenever I say Holy Spirit, right,
I don't never say the Holy Spirit, Okay, I never.
I never say the when I speak to the Holy Spirit,
And so I just say Holy Spirit. Why do I
say Holy Spirit? I simply say holy Spirit because Holy

(36:54):
Spirit is Jehovah, God Almighty himself. Holy Spirit is basically
if you didn't know, and we're gonna teach on this Sepharty,
but I just want to let people know, Holy Spirit
is basically God's voice, right, Holy Spirit, he is a person.

Speaker 6 (37:11):
He's a he's a person and third person, he's in
third person.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
You have God, you have got the Father, god Son,
who is Jesus our brother.

Speaker 7 (37:20):
And then we have God, the Holy.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Spirit, which is the Holy Spirit, which is a person.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
He's not an it, he's not a something. He's not
a feeling. He's an actual part. As our spiritual father said,
he's your unseen partner.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
Right on the earth. Right. So Jevah right. And Jehovah
is our God. He's God, he is our Dad, he
is our father. Right.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
So does anyone else? Does anyone? I would say, right,
he's the most high God. He was our spiritual father.
He's right, He's the all Father. Okay, And does anyone
ever say I don't know the answer to quest. Let
me go ask the Dad, right. No, you say, let
me go ask God, right, or your mom says you

(38:10):
better not do if you don't do what I say, I'll.

Speaker 6 (38:13):
Tell the Dad on you right now, they don't say
they say, I'll tell Dad on you, right.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Or I need a sisters, I'm going to pray to
the God for help.

Speaker 13 (38:23):
No, they're gonna say. You say, I'm going to pray
to God for help. Right, I'm going to God. I'm
going to Dad. I'm going to Father. I'm going to
Holy Spirit. See, I don't say I'm going to the
Holy Spirit. I say I'm going to Holy Spirit.

Speaker 6 (38:37):
He is the now the title comes.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
He's the counselor the comforter, the God, the defender.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Right all right, So I got something else coming as
a surprise about about Holy Spirit and God and the
oldest going to be dope.

Speaker 6 (39:00):
What's all? Then it's gonna be awesome. Okay.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
So anyway, so as I was saying, whether you say
the salvation prayer or not, when you get that.

Speaker 6 (39:08):
Passive prayer for dollar cause of the aha.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Moment, I call it the I got it moment or
the I get it moment. Okay, I get it moment,
That's what I called it. That's when you realize that
in manuals him, that Jesus is the true Messiah, when
you recognize that Lord Yoshua Homosea is Lord of all.

(39:33):
Where you believe that at last, that's when I believe
that Holy Spirit enters you. Okay, And I can give
a testimony this because before I went to the pulpit,
like I said, to give my life to the Lord,
I already knew in my heart that Jesus was him.

(39:53):
I knew that he was the vibe. I knew it.

Speaker 6 (39:57):
There was no shadow of a shadow of a doubt.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
I was already sold, and I knew Holy Spirit was
already in me because.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
I had that.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
I had my I got It moment a couple of
weeks before I stepped into World Changes Church.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
I already knew it, And.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
That meant that I was already a believer because I
already knew that Jesus was it. You see what I'm saying.
I hadn't confessed it yet, but I already knew. Okay,
So I'm gonna say something that's unorthodox. So it was
going against the norm, but.

Speaker 6 (40:34):
I gotta say it, Okay, I gotta say it.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
If something had gone forbid happened to me and I
got saved in two thousand and nine, right, if something
had happened to me before I went to World Changes Church,
I'm gonna say it.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
You always still see me in heaven. If I never
stepped into World.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Changes Church, y'all would see me in heaven because I
already believed in my heart you see God?

Speaker 7 (41:09):
That actually?

Speaker 6 (41:10):
May I sure that?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Actually what immediately came to mind was the fact that
we as Christians, we tend to judge a lot of
people based upon.

Speaker 7 (41:22):
Yes, you know, we don't know their hearts. Per se.

Speaker 1 (41:26):
God is the He's the one that judges our hearts.
So we can't look at someone on the outside, the
exterior and assess, well, you know, the Word says we
could judge the tree by their fruit, But.

Speaker 7 (41:41):
As far as we don't know what that person.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Between them and the Holy Spirit, what kind of conversation
has going on in their hearts to tell them that
they're not saved? Right? So that right there just puts
to rest trying to figure out, well, you know, who's this,
who's that you're not saved? That to me, it really
opens up a whole nother realm. You know, there could

(42:05):
be many people who are saved and they believe, but
in your eyes you might not think they are because
they haven't done it your way or what you.

Speaker 14 (42:14):
Think should be right, Like like like God, yes, you
said it right, Like the two criminals that was on
the cross for Jesus, right, they were both criminals, without
a doubt.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
They were both criminals. Okay, they even have names and stuff.
We're gonna do a little research on it, but they
actually have names and the background.

Speaker 6 (42:38):
Okay. And with that being said, right, a.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Lot the people that knew the one, the one that
believed in Christ, right, the one that believed in Christ, they.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
Remember him as a criminal.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
So there is no way in the world where they
think they don't even realize that if they believe in Christ,
they're gonna see him in heaven.

Speaker 6 (43:01):
When when when it's time for Jesus to come.

Speaker 7 (43:04):
Back and just we have to get ready to wrap up.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
You just say that because this is really necessary what
we're teaching on tonight, because there are certain.

Speaker 7 (43:16):
Religions that.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
They base their doctrine on that this very verse right here.

Speaker 7 (43:24):
If you don't confess with your heart.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
If you're not baptized, if you're not this, I didn't
mean to put on that voice, but I'm just saying,
then you're not.

Speaker 7 (43:34):
Saved because you didn't say this.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
There are certain denominations that hone in on specific scriptures,
this being one of them, that predicate yourself that that
that required it as a prerequisite, which we've always believed in.

Speaker 7 (43:51):
But there are certain denominations that.

Speaker 6 (43:54):
Right unless unless you don't do.

Speaker 7 (43:57):
That, you're not safe. And if you're not saved, then
you're going to hell.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
Right, So here's here's right exactly. So here's the bottom line.
If you say that the salvation prayer, you're saved. But
if you don't say it, but you still believe, you're saved. Also,
so anybody who's in the church where they say that,
you have to say it.

Speaker 7 (44:22):
And if you don't say it, you're going to hell.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Then you you are saying and you are saved because
you do recognize it. But nobody should have to scare
you into it or condemn you into it, or make
you feel guilty or shamed because you didn't say it,
but you believe, or manipulate right now now, So with

(44:45):
that being said. When I got saved, I was still
a mess inside. I was saved, but I was still
a mess. I'm talking about the way that I dressed,
the way that I talked, what that I listened to,
what my actions were.

Speaker 6 (44:57):
I needed deliverance. I needed to actually I needed I needed.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
To realize that I was delivered by by knowing who
my identity was. But that we'll talk about that more
because it's time, and it is time, so now we can.

Speaker 6 (45:12):
Save the salvation. You would like to.

Speaker 7 (45:15):
Join me in saying the salvation?

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Want to?

Speaker 6 (45:18):
You could say it.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
If you don't, We're not force you, but if you
want to, you could say, with my.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Wife, Heavenly Father, I admit and I recognize I'm a sinner.

Speaker 7 (45:30):
I believe you died for me. I believe you rose,
I believe I believe you're coming back again.

Speaker 6 (45:35):
Believe you're coming back again.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
Make me, make me shake me, shake and moment and
into what you God.

Speaker 6 (45:42):
Happy to be, happy to be.

Speaker 7 (45:44):
Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord for saving me, saving
and forgiving.

Speaker 6 (45:47):
Me and forgiven me my past, my past.

Speaker 7 (45:49):
Present and future sins, future sins.

Speaker 6 (45:53):
We repent, and.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
We repent mm and make a hundred and eighty degree change.

Speaker 7 (46:00):
Your will, do your way, your way, Jesus name.

Speaker 6 (46:03):
We pray, Amen, Amen, well prayer.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
If you said that prayer, yes, yes, what you saved,
you're saved. And if you believe in your heart, you're
saying he still save. Guess what heaven is rejoicing.

Speaker 7 (46:18):
That's the bottom line. You are in the family of God.

Speaker 6 (46:21):
Be love it welcome.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
A thousand angels are rejoicing right now as we speak.
Hollo luyah. We just bless the Lord right now and

Speaker 6 (47:01):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
Let me tell you right, Will you stop God to me?

Speaker 1 (47:14):
God?

Speaker 3 (47:15):
Keep talking about Will the stop God in me? He said,
will stop God in me?

Speaker 10 (47:24):
God?

Speaker 3 (47:24):
You don't know what I'm talking about. Let me tell
you will stop God and check this out.

Speaker 6 (47:29):
God.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
God, let me bring it down to you.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
God, Jesus sort of sound cheat. God held the stop gap.
Blood will make the Christ job.
