Nice, very nice. Casey.You just got back into town shortly
ago from the Florida Dental Convention.How to go? Yeah, it's Florida's
state meeting. It's at the GaylordPalms Resort down in cassim really really good.

I've probably said this before. Alot of state meetings resemble a fourth
grade science fair, sometimes a littlesleepy. The Florida State meeting, which
they call the Florida Dental Convention,it's more like a regional meeting. It
is very well done, excellent,lots of attendance, lots of energy,
lots of everything. They do areally really nice job. A lot of
people really wanting to just learn moreand get out and and rub elbows and

well they have a nice pool.So there was a lot of family vacations,
matt masts, getting some ce butno, a lot of opportunities,
a lot of a lot of gooduh, a lot of fun really.
I mean that's what people go tothose four right, they want to learn
something. I want to see withfriends, maybe sneak in a little family
vak, have a nice meal,learned something. Um we had you had
to speak right, Yeah. Wehad a nice two hour course that was

well attended and it was it wasfascinating. Our our founder says, the
loudest cries come from the cheap seats. And there was somebody that was just
very active with their opinions throughout theevent, Questions and then you have a
site power field defensive from what you'reyou're speaking on, like they think you're

audience. I would agree with thatspeculation. Now, when I have a
like a private conversation, I getsome quick numbers and I'm just like wow,
okay, and then somebody else comesup and they go, this was
exactly It was like you were speakingto me. It was like I was
the only one in the room.I need help. No, I'm typically

pretty fired up about this topic.But but ultimately I got some of their
quick numbers and it's like, youknow, they're doing pretty good, um,
compared to this other person. Buttheir attitude was, oh wow,
I want help this this sounds good. So anyway, a lot of good
conversations. We took some clients out, gotta meet a lot of good people,
and within industry, a lot ofa lot of industry people. UM
love seeing the representation from a lotof the larger companies that have used to

have like small cities at these exhibithalls or events and now they've tamped that
back. Um. Yeah, Igotta see a lot of a lot of
people, a lot of fun.So you know, when you're out there
and talking to these people at theseconventions and things like that, you know,
you've got the people who come upto you and after hearing you speak
or have spoken to you before,they're always like, there are some people
who know they need help or hurting. But you also have people that come

up to you and you talk withthem for a minute and they're like,
well, dude, I'm already killingit. I'm already crushing it. What
do you how do you what doyou say to those people? How does
that even start? Yeah? Firstoff, we're not a rescue firm,
right, we we we take peoplethat have are achieved a lot of success
and potentially plateaued and take them tothe next level. But yeah, to
your point, you know, whatis what is crushing it mean to you?
(03:46):
Um? But I would almost liketo take it back to a different
analogy. And we've talked about thisbefore, but you've mentioned EGO earlier,
right, So PGA golf, right, these golfers, Um, this is
an individual sport on paper, Biggiegoes right, big golf playing well,
but again they have a whole team, right, Like I've had the pleasure

of going to PGA events or RyderCups or these. You know, I
spend time with the putting green orthe driving range because I like to watch
them swing. Yeah, because I'veseen you try to swing. I have
a beautiful swing. It just doesn'tgo where I want it to. But
I'm amazed that they have three,four or five people with them that they're

working on things for hours. Again, they're the best in the world,
but yet they're working on their craft. And so this is a long answer
to your question. But you takethe guy at the local country club,
it's a two handicap, and hethinks he's crushing it. He's really good
at golf, right, Okay,Well, these professionals are much better than
them, and yet they have afull team to help them get even better.

Right, So because talent all Iget you so far. Yeah.
I think that's a good point.But to answer the rest of your question,
what if I'm already crushing it.There's a lot of people out there
that they're making a good amount ofmoney. They haven't sold their soul to
insurance. Um, they're saving agood amount. Like they feel good about
retirement. A lot of times theylive in a low cost area as well,
and so they look at the fullpicture and compared there, it is

compared to who and what, comparedto their friends or you know, their
their classmates or study club. Theyare crushing it. What if I'm already
crushing it? That's the question,and and here's the short answer. It's
it's typical here. Well, it'snot abnormal for clients incomes to on many
occasions double like that's that's kind ofcommonplace. So Okay, you're crushing it.
(05:35):
You're you're making five fifty and you'vegot one practice and maybe you're saving
eighty thousand dollars. We look ata lot of numbers. That's better than
most. Right, what if youcan make nine sixty without and without working
any harder and save triple Yeah,because that's those are real statistics from people
(05:56):
that we've had that they've come hereone place and left another. So so
that would be really crushing it.Then well, yeah, it comes down
to, hey, I'm already crushingit. Absolutely could is there better?
Could there be better? What's thatlook like? And the ego not getting
in the way. The example ofyou know, the top talents, you
know Indianapolis five hundred A racing team, right, the drivers on stage,
the dentist. But they know thatthey can't do it without a team,
(06:18):
internal team, external team. Andso the real thing that I learned talking
to a lot of these and thereand their team mates or what you want
to called the their team are specialistsin their one particular thing they do.
That's right, right, Yeah,like that, Like they'll have a swing
coach, they'll have a putting coach, they'll have a you know a lot
of different niche coaches. Um,what happens if an alligator comes up and

bite your hand off? You're thinkingabout a happy guy a minute, but
you know you're right, So anddentist practice office acts the same way.
Hopefully you are getting people who arethe best at their particular role. Yeah.
I've said this many times. Themost successful people delegate what they're not

trained in or good at, andthey find really good people that are.
And again, you just come backto MVP's top performers in any of these
industries, they have a team,they have people that help them. And
so that whole what if I'm alreadycrushing it, you know, okay,
is the room for more? Right? Again, that the golfer. Who
who shoots a seventy two. That'spretty darn good. But there's people out

there can shoot a sixty five aswell. And then also, you know
by crushing it, well, whatdoes that mean? Right? So often
we make assumptions, how's your worklife balance, how is your your your
team or staff in the in thepractice, like, what's the point of
having lots of money if you don'thave time to use it? Well?
Yeah, there you go. No, I've talked to so many people that
they say, I am making sixhundred. I feel like I'm living month

to month and I'm so busy tryingto do this. Hopefully my kids at
least enjoy it because I'm not.Well. It's like it's like a buddy
of mine who after you get outof law school, got a really great
job, you know, money wise, but they made the work eight hours
away hours. Yeah yeah, sowhat's the yeah. And so that's to
drive that point home, crushing itlooks like, what, Well, work
life balance is good, your staffor team are happy, you've got some
(08:13):
good leadership, You've you've got proactiveadvice helping you in all these areas.
You feel comfortable like you can takea deep breath, go for a long
weekend to a Florida dental convention,and know that everything's right. Income,
retirement savings and what you're church trendingfor net worth. Yeah, that's important,
but that's just a part of thepicture to quote unquote crushing it.
Well, Casey, let's take youfor example. I think people will look
(08:35):
at you and say that you're crushingit. You're pretty, you're successful,
you've got a you know, agreat gig, you've got a nice family,
and then you know, nice homeand all that. What about you
personally or you know, or professionally. Do you have your own coaches?
Do you have your own team tohelp you where you're at now? Yeah,
it's interesting um utilizing resources and teamand different trainings even when you think

you know a lot. Yeah,to your point, I'd say in the
last couple of years there has beensome help with training and resources and additional
things that if my ego got inthe way, I would have just kept
doing things the same way versus learningbetter ways and then going wow, okay
that makes sense, and so yeah, I know that at the times of
(09:22):
keeping up with the trends and yeah, no, I think that's important.
I mean for us, it's youknow, how can we be more effective
to have sensitive and personal conversations offlinewith practice owners that are effective? You
know? And it goes this wholeThis whole topic I feel like works on
(09:43):
every level for everybody professionally or personally. I mean if marriage counseling or or
a therapist or a personal financial financialplanner for people not in dentistry. There
are all kinds of things that again, as you said, delegating or finding
someone to help you through that withtheir expertise. I've used this one before.
(10:03):
If you want to lose weight,move more, eat less, but
yet sometimes if you have a trainer, ye, actually it happens. I
mean people think Chris Hemsworth is killingit, but he gets he pays for
a dietitian and an exercise guy andall that stuff to take his shirt off
for five minutes. Is that aHollywood hem's worth? He was thor Ah,
there it is. Now you hadthat picture of them in your office.
(10:26):
Yeah, now I know what.But that's the point. There's knowing
it and there's doing it. There'sunfortunately a lot of practice owners for decades
they talk to talk and it soundslike they know what they're talking about.
But again, what are they losing? What cost? What's crushing it looked
like? And for we have peoplethat say working no more than three days
a week with this income. Youknow, here, here's what crushing it
(10:46):
looks like to me. Okay,let's get that roadmap. So anybody that's
told you, you know, priorto working with us that they think that
they're crushing we're already killing it.What has been one of the biggest slap
in the faces you've done to themto wake him up? Like, have
you given them a yeah, it'sit's it's just data, right, and
so um employee wages true overhead.I mean really it's numbers that want to

actually see and have a little explanationthey're a little bit shocked at. Or
it's hey, you know, congratulations, you've been saving this. You know
you should be saving triple that.Let us show you the roadmap, let
us show you the way. Hey, that's great that you know you have
achieved a level of success. Youknow again, maybe making four hundred you
should be making seven seven fifty Andthat specialist goest, Yeah, I kind
(11:30):
of felt that too. But nobody'sever kind of called me on it,
and it's just like miss messaging,mixed messaging, missed and mixed. Yeah.
Yeah, So I think I havea little homework assignment for our listeners
today. Um, sit, Iwant you to sit down and write down
your goals. You gotta start somewhere. You can't go and talk to a
professional or an expert. That soundscheesy. How about what's crushing it looked
(11:54):
like to me? All right?That works to you, asshole? Right
down? What looks what's crushing itlooked like to you? Um? You
need to have a starting point umand and and uh and and a goal
to go to, even if youdon't know the roadmap yet. Yeah.
I think that's a good Uh worksfor everything, works for dating, works
for anything. You want goals atwhat what what does good look like?

And actually write it down? Boy, that's a heck of an exercise.
What do you want your practice tolook like? A lot of times you
don't want all the insurances but you'renot sure how to how to change or
or you'd like to fire twenty percentof your patients. Well is that possible?
Yea, sometimes it is. Let'ssay, once you get down with
that homework, and you and youand you really think, oh, I'm
not really where I would like tobe. I hadn't really thought about it
