Speaker 1 (00:02):
Because something done, I go on and marry Monday afternoon.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
This is the muster. Robin Greer out of PGG rights
in real estate, joins us next. Good afternoon, Robin.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Good afternoon, Andy, and listeners on this beautiful, typical Southland day.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
This is my point of contention. We are under the
fourth week of cricket playing out at y key Quey
there for the Bees. We haven't played a game yet.
It's been either too wed at Hamilton Park, too wet
at the KILLI but then you look at weather like
this and it's it's really good, but it's just frustration
all around.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, like the rugby season should have lasted a bit longer,
I think.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I think your general consensus seems to be the groves
about four or five weeks behind where it should be, Robin.
That's just the nature of the beasts, though, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
It does like I honestly think that everything is sort
of a month behind if you got everything at the moment,
which gee, you know, in my thirty three years in
south And I haven't seen it like this, that's for sure.
But these these good days we're getting now, and each
week is progressively getting warmer and warmer. So from you
get them, you might get some cricket before Christmas.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Oh that'd be nice. Well, we've got Tia now this weekend,
and whether it's played here or up there, we're not
too sure because they're trying to get things, get everything
sort of there. But that's an issue for another day. Robin.
How's everything at PGG rights in real estate?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, like things are very busy, the busiest I've been.
It's for sure. There's a lot less things out there,
and you know there's a reasonable number of buyers probably yeah,
slightly more lest things than what there are buyers at
the moment, but there's a lot of activity and yeah,
a lot of things are getting put on paper. So yeah,
I'm very happy with the way things are rolling along

(01:51):
at the moment.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
So there's a bit of a buyer's market at the moment, you'd.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Say, Ah, probably with tristock farms, yes, dairy farms. Like
that's that's very positive out there. You know, Darring's looking
very positive at the moment, and you know interest rates,
that's all looking positive for everybody. So yeah, it's not
totally a buyer's market, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
It's interesting how you take these small wins likes of
interest rates and the ACR cut back and all these
things just correlating into what's happening on the farm, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Like, Hey, it has a huge effect. There's a lot
of debt in the rural sector, and you know, interest
rates make a big difference to us all. And you
know it's looking like there might be another drop coming,
so that all makes a big difference to the bottom line,
that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
On your own block there, it's been going pretty well
so far, has it for the year?

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yeah, I like everybody, we've been affected by the weather.
It's just made it very difficult, that's for sure. But yeah,
our stuff has done a great job of getting through.
But yeah, it's challenging, isn't it. But now at least
you know these days where we can feed the cows
and it is a nice feeling been able to feed

(03:04):
the cows full you like, it's been a long time
since a lot of farmer's been able to do that.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah. Absolutely, And as we get a little bit of growth,
and where are we now, Heck, we're running the middle
of November. It's not that long. As you starts thinking
about December holidays, and everything just kind of creeps up,
doesn't it it?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Sure it does, yep, yep. Yeah, Like you know, most
eury farmers are probably halfway through mating now, and yeah,
looking forward to having that ticked off and looking forward
to Christmas and things flying down.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
A bit absolutely, Robin, Now, what's the best way to
get in touch with yourself regarding people looking at real
estate options?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
They can give me a bell on two seven four
three three two oh five eight. Always happy to come
around and have a chat about what the market's doing.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, it was that, and we're always happy to have
Robin Grere on the muster as well. You enjoyed the afternoon.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Thanks Andy, laugh out loud with ag proud because life
on the land can be a laughing matter.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Brought to us by Sheerwell data working to help the
livestock farmer. I can't take my dog to the park anymore.
The ducks keep biting him. I should have known this
has happened. He's pure bred. Leave it there for the afternoon,
go and enjoy the blue sky. My name's Andy Muir.
This has been the muster on hawk and now he

(04:26):
thinks of Peter's genetics. See it tomorrow. At one o'clock
