Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is and.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Before we wrap up for a Monday afternoon. You said
his major time, but it's time, O'Brien. I don't know
if he's got major in front of his name just yet.
Possibly one day. Good afternoon, Thomas.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
And the and the papers want to know whose shirts
you wear? Andy? You are.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
That's a great song, isn't it. It takes you on
a journey.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
It does well quite literally, right, you know, ground control
the major time, up up and up and as up
in as little tin can take your protein pool put
your helmet on. Yeah, no, it's a classic.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It's a sad song actually, like he doesn't come home
those like every time you listen to it you're trying
to figure out the story were to go so wrong
for tom? Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Well, you know I can sort of resonate with that
from time to time. You've got to balance it out,
you know.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, how things been up in Garston?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah not too bad, mate, Pretty good, pretty good. You
can't complain noticing the days getting a little bit longer,
and well whether today is a bit sketchy, suns out again,
and yeah, it's nothing to complain about.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's been a good start to August, and the forecast
is pretty good. A bit of rain overnight and we
just send the conclusion of the Olympics time now, Rachel Reagan,
Rachel Gan, the Australian Breakdowns. If you haven't caught up
on this, it is a hell of a yarn.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Isn't it.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Rachel Reagan, you know, set your phases to stun mode,
because I think that's exactly what you did the world
of Olympics, didn't she She really sort of put on
a hell of a show. Really yeah. I still wasn't
entirely sure until about ten minutes ago whether or not,
you know, it was a bit of a bit of
a piss take or not. But no, apparently she won

(01:51):
the Oceana you know, hip Hop Pants Championship. So I
think you and I could maybe put in a put
in a team. We could put on a team f
Andy and sort of tag each other in and out
and spin a few moves. What do you reckon here?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Put some scene see music factory in the background, go
back to sixth form or reckon.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
We could do it.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Oh, I'm gonna make the sweat mate, you go into it,
into it.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
But it was like she learned her routine off Kath
and Kin somebody put the comparison up on social media
of Kath and Kim doing their dance and it was
exactly the same. It was, oh man, it was. It
was priceless. Actually, the Internet does some really good things sometimes.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Oh absolutely, mate, Yeah, yeah, you know, you've just got
to be able to know where to find the good
stuff to filter out the bad stuff, right, Yeah, that's it,
funnily enough, mate, you know, talking about you know, putting
things in perspective and taking the good out of the
bad and all the rest of it. You know, I
came across something quite compelling and quite interesting around that
sort of stuff, and if you don't mind, I wouldn't

(02:50):
mind actually just sharing it with you.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, so this was this was something It's about keeping
things in mind. Here's the first one. If you have
food in your closed on your body, a roof over
your head, and a face of sleep, you are richer
than seventy five percent of people in the world. That's
the first thing. Crazy money to spend as you wish,
and the freedom to go anywhere you want. You are

(03:15):
among the top eighteen percent of the world's wealthiest people.
If you are alive today with more health, fit than illness.
You are more blessed than the million people who will
not survive this week. And if you can hear, or
read and understand this message, you are more fortunate than

(03:35):
the three billion people who cannot see, cannot read the
knowledge and information that surrounds us. That's all. That's pretty compelling.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's rather hectic, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
It's really hectic. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
It just puts everything in the perspective though, I suppose really,
I mean the issues that we're dealing with here. Everywhey's
got their issues, because then you think back to these
people living in these countries like Africa and parts of Asia,
and the likes that. It's just about of context, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
It surely is, mate, Yeah, it is so. But you know,
but we can we can find a lot of pleasures
of simple things in life, right and getting better, you know,
sort of that breakdancing. You know, we sort of thought
it was pretty funny and all the rest of that,
And it was funny and it was pretty entertaining. You know.
I went to a bit of a troffer around the
hill last night and I got home, you know, and
I thought, you know, I'm enjoying having this really good

(04:26):
hot shower and I've got you know, some bloody nineties
tunes playing in the background, and I'm pretty lucky to
be able to have ASEX like good hot water and
a roof over my head. And you know, I cooked
up a nice big mince curry and had some roast
roasted tumor and mashed potatoes, and I thought, man, this
is awesome.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
This is great.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
So you know, we are lucky that we've got you know,
we see them as basic, simply simple things, but you
know they're necessity for a lot of people, and yeah,
pretty important to put it instead.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Of just before we go the Southern Scooter Challenge, myself
and Porky Smith from Yeamaha Agra Center. We're participating on
September the seventh, So we're going Bluff to Queenstown two
hundred and twenty k's on a scooter. We've got to
put a video out this week. Actually, we've got a
bit of a thing we're going to do. So I'm
looking forward to this and it's all going back towards
the Southern Hospice Tom So it's going to be a

(05:16):
neat event.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Oh look that sounds amazing, mate, give us a holur
before your head through g town and yes we'll get
out there with there. We'll put our cardboard down and
I'll do a few back them for you.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
I'll hold you to that. Actually you probably will though.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
That's what you'll you'll do that.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
That sounds awesome. I'll do it, mate, you I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, I know you.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I'll hold you that. But like we say, the muster
roun hokanui. The link is up there and we're just
going to start year, just bringing this to the four
a bit more at the moment, because there is quite
quite a bit going on this just towards a totally
relevant cause.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Too well done, mate, it's good, good, good, good job
supporting that really cause.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Good on your time. Always got to chat on muster
will let you carry on.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Eh All good mate, cheers for that. Soe ya.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Laugh out loud thanks to ag Proud because life on
the farm can be your laughing matter. Brought to you
by Sheerwow data working to help the livestock farmer. As
I bring it up here we go and ain't year
old girl asks her father dad, what is sex? The
father is somewhat surprised that she would ask such a question,
but he reckons if she's old enough to ask a question,
then surely she's old enough for a straight answer. So

(06:28):
the father proceeds to tell his young daughter all about
the birds and the bees. After a brief explanation, the
little girl appears wide eyed and disbelief.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
By the way, dear, why do you ask?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
The father asks, Wow, i' mum said to say that
tea's ready in a couple of sex.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
That's us for the afternoon. Now on Friday.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Thanks to millennium motives, we've got a great promo happening
over the next couple of weeks. To keep your ears
tuned for that. It's got to be fantastic because they
celebrate twenty five years in business.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
My name's Andy Muher.

Speaker 2 (06:59):

at one o'clock.
