Welcome back to the muster. I'm y Muer and our
next case is Basic Way Mumo. His name is Warren
Ross farming out that way. Well, good afternoon. How are
you have been ending?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, not too bad.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
This is a quiet time of year on the Ross
farm by the sounds of it.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Uh yeah, I know, well probably fort majority of deer
farmers it is to be fairy. So yeah, yeah, you
know it's the animals are coming off crop and just
starting to tick around on grass and and yeah there's yeah,
there's just a quite on the year for us really.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
So like so the deer they're still on crop at
the moment, the.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Staggs are all off on grass, and windows are on grass.
So it's just a couple of mothers, catt allso on
on on crop. But all the honds, the stall on
on wouldn't say crop, but on on peddis and getting
feed balance. And they were there for another month really,

so it's just pretty much one to mod really, so
give it, give it another month or so, and well
what are we now? We're weekends is September and early
October we start looking at st stock and hinds and
and also to carry on so yeah, he goes by
pretty quick.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Really, have you managed to turn it over any dirts yet.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Turning over? Not really, we have had the trip in
the paddock, just grubbing up for the beat butts, you know,
and and just it gives a bit of the deer
bit more to too much on but as a role
now we don't get carried away too early, to be honest,
it's just yeah, we don't get carried away.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
So just our and Eames at the moment pretty much
saying nothing out of the ordinary and just staying dry.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah we'll just really and yeah, no, there's not getting
carried away at all, fur a. So it was at
we were free this morning, but we were snow on
the hocinoise. But uh, you know, as as just just cruise, bud.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Really, did you have to compete with any slates or
anything yesterday?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
No, we we ministered, we managed and missed all the
all that yesterday. I see, but I think, well here
it comes through overnight mostly, I think. So I know,
we we missed all the other all the bad, bad,
bad stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
So you'll be having a fishing trip into doubt for
sounds sooner than later.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
They had a head a conversation with old men just
not long ago, even used to say day before and saying
that we need to do book a book, a book
at trip in the Arra.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
So we've done a.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Bit longer now of course, and we're in it and
a bit warmer, and so I know there's there's probably
definitely a trip on the cards very soon.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Actually, it's surprising the like Tiana, last time I was
up there, how low it was.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Uh, yeah, I was sorry of what you posted is
one day and yeah that the lake is very extremely low. Actually,
so which is probably probably about normal for the time
of the year, to be honest, is on the hills
most of the time, it's it's it's snowing on top
and you get to now and as junior is a
rule starts to start get a bit of snow mountain

and so forth, so you have to think of flup
a little bit from there on. But yeah, no, it's yeah,
it's juniors real winter time or or under the spring,
it's juniors and the lowest.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
So this is a time of year you can start
indulging in your other newfound passage passion sorry passage, which
is rallying. We talked about this a wee while ago.
But it sounds like you're up to the bar, going
up to the Bar Plenty in the next few weeks,
but you're not sure where.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Well not I haven sened the list of the stages
that they're doing, and but I just can't recall of
execu we were going. But no, so I think seakingked
in October, heading heading up to the Bad Plenty mate
from crew or the pit prew for a mate from
Quinn and yeah, so it's yeah, this cat's coming around
again quick any how.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
So yeah, I think I've just found it for you. Actually,
as being held, it's just saying in the Bay of
Plenty for the Bay of Plenty rail in New Zealand,
which is scheduled for October the eleventh, So it doesn't
actually say whereabouts, but Bay of Plenty it's a big area.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah, it's a big area. But I think we're pretty
much basically out of Towering or anyhow. Yeah, but you
know it's and then after that we're being on going
to fung Ray, I think the top and top of
North Island. There's going to be early November, I think, so, yeah,
I know there's there's another couple to go so yeah,
it should be good.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Well, the top of your driving in toad On is
if you like traffic light side roundabouts, you'll be at home.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Last time was here once was a few years ago.
There there's a few getting up here, but I believe
there's a lot more there now, so it's it'd be fine.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
It'd be fine, absolutely, And of course the site for

McDonald? But based on Queensham and and us, I've been
following memory and for the yeah, the last three realies.
