(00:01):
Hey, Hey, everybody, how'sit going. This is Wendy Selvig with
the Oily Academy podcast, a certifiedaroma therapist, certified in the rain drop
technique, which is an essential oilbased massage. I've been a natural health
researcher for a nonprofit organization for overtwenty years and I love, love,
love natural health. Today I wantto talk to you guys about allergies,
(00:23):
and especially since it's spring at leastwhen I'm recording this, but it seems
like everybody's starting to sniffle and sneeze. And now, first of all,
I am not a doctor. Idon't want to be a doctor. I
don't want to be your doctor. So this is not treatment advice. This
is not medical advice. This isjust my knowledge as an aroma therapist,
my knowledge as a mom. Myknowledge is somebody who has used essential oils
(00:47):
for fifteen years. There are essentialoils that support your nervous system. They
they help support your body in itseffort to not have an over action.
Okay, and so that's often whatallergies are. Your body's overreacting and attacking
you. And there's a couple thingsyou can do. Now, I'm an
(01:11):
independent representative of Young Living Essential Oils. I love the company. I have
loved this company since two thousand andeight. I've been to three of the
farms. I've cornered the farm managers. I've asked them the hard questions,
and I am completely satisfied. Ilove that the farm managers and the farming
staff are so proud to work forYoung Living and they're so proud of their
(01:33):
practices and how natural a product theyproduce. I love that so much.
That being as said, I willtell you some of the oils you can
use to support your system so thatyour system reacts less or does an overreact.
I don't know the degree that willwork for you, but there are
multiple things you can try. Firstof all, lavender essential oil. I
(01:55):
only recommend Young Living because I knowit's been distilled in surgical stainless steel.
I know that nothing's been added,no chemicals to thin it out, to
cheapen it, nothing. It's likeit's a very very pure oil and a
grade. So you can use lavenderessential oil. It helps my inflammatory processes
to do their job correctly and notoverreact, and so you can diffuse that.
(02:21):
Now there's a couple other oils youcan add. That's kind of a
popular remedy that people know, youknow, the oilers kind of all know
about, and that's using lavender, peppermint, and lemon. So the three
of those together are also amazing.I've seen. I have testimonials. I
have a friend whose husband is soagainst the oils. He was just like,
those are that's footy witchcraft. Notreally, but you know, like
(02:44):
that is not that's not real medicine. But yet his just terrible allergies and
stuff and so ended up that itreally affected him when she diffused those three
oils and his sinuses calmed down,he could breathe, and he was like,
oh, okay, maybe something there'ssomething to this, right, So
that is the kind of the magiccombination. However, Young Living just came
(03:07):
out last year with a new blendthat's just blends specifically for this and it's
seasonal essentials. And so if youget on to Young Living and type that
in the search box seasonal or seasonessentials, you'll find that blend and you
can try just if you don't wantto blend three together, you could just
try that one. You see whatthat does for you. The other thing
(03:29):
that I like to really promote isthe supplement called sulfur zime and that is
a natural MSM sulfur. It isnot sulfur. If you're allergic to SULFA
drugs, this will not affect you. Everyone has sulfur already in their body
of the natural form. Your bodyuses sulfur to regulate inflammation, and so
(03:52):
chronically across the board United States,at least most people are deficient in sulfur
because it is not being put backinto the soil all the time by farming
practices. So it's kind of knownthat we're kind of low on sulfur and
then hence we have inflammation issues thatmight be one of the causes of that
(04:12):
of the nationwide inflammation issues. Sojust being it's good to be aware of
that. But during a season wheremy sinuses or you know, I'm sneezing
and having symptoms of my body overreactingto with inflammation, I am taking four
sulfur zyme a day. And thatwas recommended by to me by a pharmacist
(04:35):
actually who understood sulfur and said thatbecause we are chronically deficient in sulfur,
we really need to take like forsulfur z im a day to not be
deficient. That's just what I wantedto throw out there today. One more
thing, Young Living does have anenzyme called allorzyme, and that also helps
(04:56):
your body. So if you aresomeone who you are just tormented by your
allergies, you just your system isout of control. Then my battle plan,
if it was me, I wouldget some soul fur zime, I'd
get some allur zyme, and thenI would start diffusing lavender, limon and
peppermint and the combination of those things. I would just keep those in my
environment, in my body, youknow, during that rough season, and
(05:18):
give your body some tools so thatit can balance properly and do better and
help relieve those symptoms for you. That's what I would do if it was
me. So all right, youguys, that's it for this topic.
I hope you're having a great day. I hope you're having a great week.
If you have any topics you wouldlove me to cover, I would
