Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, hey, everybody, how's it going. This is Wendy Selvig
with the Oily Academy podcast. I'm certified around with therapists,
certified in the rain drop technique, and I've been a
natural health researcher for a nonprofit organization for twenty years.
I love natural health and I love to support people
and help them find solutions to their health challenges. I
(00:22):
am just on here today to let you guys know
that I just posted an almost hour long class on
my YouTube channel that is all about the ancient oils
of scripture and how to make your own annoying oil.
And this is one of my favorite classes to do,
and I really I pull it out once or twice
(00:42):
a year, you know, I usually do it around Christmas
or Easter. But I specifically had a request to give
this class this week and so it was fresh in
my mind, so I went ahead and just recorded it
for YouTube, complete with slides. That's why I'm letting you know,
because sometimes classes are fine to listen to as an audience,
but sometimes you really need to see the pictures.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
And so if you are.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Interested in watching this, it's free, obviously, but it's on
the natural health researcher YouTube channel.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You can search for that, and it's the last one
I posted.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I mean, but you can you can kind of scroll
through the last videos and you'll see angel oils of scripture.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
And how to make your own annoying oil.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Anyway, I just wanted to put it there because there
are some really cool slides, and I think this one
is better if you see visually.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
So there you go.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I hope you guys are doing well. Quick update on
my mom because you a lot of you know. I've
been dealing with my mom who has Alzheimer's and we
are moving her this week into memory care facility.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
It is a really good situation. It's a very nice.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Facility, and she's been on a waiting list for a
year and a half four and she's very happy, like
he's already made it. We got her in last night.
She's already made a new friend. She's excited. They have
a church, they have they let her bring her cat.
They believe in pet therapy. They have an arts and
(02:12):
craft room with arts and crafts she can work on
all day, and they have a.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Movie night every night.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I mean, they have all kinds of activities and things
for her to do, and so she was just very
excited about Plus they cooked for her and they clean
her apartment and they do her laundry and.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Like, okay, can anyone come in here.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
So anyway, it's a good situation and it's good for
it's really good for our family. It's good for her
and anyway, for those people, some people send me emails
and ask, hey, you know's your mom. So that's what's
been going on with that. And it's a big, big
transition this week. So besides that, school started, and you guys,
(02:56):
we've got people of all kinds who listen to this.
But I know there's a lot of moms with kids
in school and you're adjusting and getting ready for the fall,
and you know, I would be making sure that you
beef up on your Thieves oil to end peppermint oil.
Make sure you have those two in your back pocket
for the fall as a minimum to help if when
(03:18):
kids start to come down with things, and just rub
that Thieves oil on the bottoms of their feet they
start to come down with a flu or a cold,
you know you're going to support their immune system. Rub
Thieves oil and the bottoms of their feet and diffuse
it in the room when they sleep, it'll help their
bodies to overcome that thing. And peppermint you can use
if they have a sudden, you know, fever the middle
(03:39):
of the night. I always hated that with little kids
that feel like they have a one hundred and three
fever and I'm cooling them down at the bathtub at
two am, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Like, do I take them to the emergency room? What
do I do for me?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
It was that was the difference between not having to
take them in and I would put peppermint in their
belly button, on the bottoms of their feet, in the
back of their and usually it cools your core temperature.
I've seen fevers go from one o three to ninety
nine in like ten minutes. So those are the two
that I say, like always have on hand for the fall.
(04:11):
And then also eucalyptus. You know, Young Living has a
lot of different varieties of you eucalyptus, but my favorite
is Eucalyptus globulus, and that is the exact smell that's
in VIX. So they use obviously Eucalyptus globulus invix, but
you just don't have that petroleum, which is really bad
for your body.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
And your organs.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
So you don't want to be putting petroleum all over
your slathering it all over our chest like our moms
did to us. But you can put some eucalyptus drops
on their chest with a little coconut oil and that's
going to be very healthy and very good for them,
and that'll help kids or maybe help with breathing.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
So hopefully that will give you some help too. All right,
that's it for now.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
It's short and sweet, but I just wanted to touch
base and let you know about the YouTube channel and
and also beefing up for the fall. If you have
any questions, reach out to me at info at the
Oily Academy dot com.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
We'll talk to you soon. Thanks, bye bye
