Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hey friends, Welcome back to the Oily Academy. I'm Wendy Selvig,
Certified a rooma Therapist and Certified a Room with Therapy Coach.
Today we're diving into one of the most luxurious, divine
oils on the planet, rose oil. If you've ever smelled
real rose oil, you know it's not your basic, fake
(00:29):
floral scents you find in candles or air fresheners. It
is a completely different thing. This is pure botanical royalty.
Let me tell you she earns her crown. Now. It
takes about sixty roses just to make one drop of
rose essential oil. Yep, sixty And that's why it's a
(00:49):
little spendy to get the real thing. But oh it
is worth every single drop. You're not just getting a
lovely scent. You're getting a powerful emotional and physical support. Now,
if you think, oh that's not true, I can get
rose oil for twenty dollars on this website. Let me
just tell you something. You're not getting real rose oil.
(01:11):
You might be getting synthetic. You might be getting one
drop of rose oil and twenty drops of something else
to thin it out to make it cheaper. But you're
not going to go online and buy an ounce of
gold for twenty dollars, right because an ounce of gold's
worth three thousand, or at least right now when I'm
recording this, it is.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
That just tells you.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
If you find somebody selling you an ounce of gold
for twenty dollars, that they are not selling you the
real thing. You just obviously and automatically know that. Well,
it's the same with rose oil. It literally takes sixty
roses to make one drop. So this stuff is very,
very pricey. The essential oil that I buy, the rose
(01:55):
oil that I buy, and I know that it is
the pure thing. I know there's there's nothing synthetic added.
I know there's no chemicals added. I know it's distilled
in surgical stainless steel. It does not have aluminum toxicity,
it is not harmful to my body. It's the real deal,
the purest I can possibly find, the best, Okay, and
(02:17):
it is about oh gosh, I think it's like two
hundred and fifteen dollars for a five milli liter bottle.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
And I don't buy it super often.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I have bought it several times though, and it's amazing,
And so just no, don't think you're gonna get real
rose oil. If you're just buying it cheaply offline somewhere,
You've got to buy the real thing. Let me tell
you so. Rose oil is an amazing emotional balancer. If
you're feeling anxious, or you're feeling stressed, maybe your heart
(02:47):
feels a little heavy, rose oil has this calming, nurturing vibe.
And I call it a little hug in a bottle,
Dab a little over your heart, or pop it in
the diffuser.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
And just breathe. Piece.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
At least at least I have experienced these kinds of feelings.
Not really making any kind of medical claim here that
you know you're going to have one hundred percent instant piece.
Don't take it to the extreme, but it is a
very peaceful oil. Now for your skin, rose oil is
a dream for mature or sensitive skin. It helps smooth
(03:24):
out the appearance of fine lines, supports hydration, and can
give you that radiant glow that we're all after. I
personally add one drop to my nighttime moisturizer. I have
a blend that I like to make, and I make
it up every couple of weeks because I go through
it so fast and it's really simple, and I'm just
(03:45):
going to share the recipe with you. Basically, you can
get a little glass bottle on Amazon or wherever that
has a dropper, like a glass dropper, and I use
like a I think it's like aty millimeter bottle.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
It's kind of small, but I put about fifteen drops
of lavender in.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I'll put geranium, I'll put frankincense, and if I have it,
I'll add three or four drops of rows and then
I fill the bottle up the rest of the way
with vitamin E oil. And the higher the antioxidant number
you can get on the vitamin E oil, the better
for your skin. There's a kind I get on Amazon
(04:29):
that I like that's like sixty five thousand that I
use sometimes if money is more of an issue, I'll
buy a cheaper kind of vitamin E that might only
have five thousand IU. But you know, vitamin E is
really good for your skin, and they are all at
different prices. But I try to total in that Oh,
(04:52):
in that bottle, I tried a total maybe about thirty
to forty drops.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Of essential oil and then I fill the rest of them.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
And this is my my facial I'm putting a lot
of essential oil on I love it, I'm used to it.
I've used them for a long time. My skin does
not react. I know those things. I've tested it out,
so I recommend you test it on a little skin
patch for yourself as well.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
But the oils I use.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Are all non toxic, they're all pure, they're all there's
no pesticides used in the you know, farming. They're all
distilled in surgical stainless steel. Like I said, they're all
you know, they're meant for therapeutic use. So anyway you
(05:40):
can change your combination of those oils. But lavender, frankincense, geranium.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
A little bit of prose if you have it.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Those are all skin oils and they're all so good
for you. And I just mix those up in different
varying amounts every time with my vitamin E oil and
it makes my face skin so soft.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Now, if you're.
