(00:08):
Welcome everybody. I'm the old manwriting from the kitchen. What a hot
day it is today, But we'lljust look away because we are so happy
to see blue skies even though it'sninety four degrees. Well, no,
we're not that happy. I guessI could rant and rape about the weather
all day to come think about it, But I've got an exciting show today.

(00:30):
It's going to be a short show, but I think you'll really enjoy
it. Just recently, we wentout to Cosby Days, which is a
big festival at Seaport Washington, andwe ran into a very interesting young lady
who does doodling and cartoon drawing. She sat down in the booth with us

(00:50):
and talked about, oh, someof her experiences, and we looked at
some of the artwork and we werereally impressed. One of the experiences that
she's had is what I call justso interesting. Now a lot of people
know that I've kind of got thisthing, and well, i'd like to
talk to people that have tattoos, especially women. So I had noticed it

(01:14):
on her arm, she had atattoo, So I kind of asked her,
how'd you get that tattoo? Andshe came back with a story that
I think you'll really enjoy. Yougo right ahead, Rainy and explained to
us in detail. I'll mind youhow this whole thing occurred. I gotta
get up and go look for icecream. Now we'll start at the beginning.

(01:37):
It was your birthday. It wasmy birthday, and I was itching
for a tattoo, and you wanteda tattoo. And I wanted a tattoo,
and I wanted it that day, that day, on no other day,
that's the day, right, SoI found the nearest walk in tattoo
shop walk in. Now you'll noticeat this point she's actually at that time
of night, at eight o'clock atnight, looking for the new raised walk

(02:00):
in tattoo shop. That should havereally drawn some attention to what was about
to happen next. But did it. Oh No, Here's how the story
continues. It was eight pm atnight, and I tried the door.
This place was supposed to close atten, so I knew it was open.

(02:20):
Yeah, and the doors locked. That didn't give you a clue that
something might have gone right, Ishould have turned around right then? Yeah,
Okay, So I called the numberon the door, and the person
that picks up, says, huh, there should be somebody in there.
So he gives another guy a calland outcomes this man with a popsicle in
an apartning building right next to it. Kind of a big guy. No,

(02:45):
he was pretty thin, he wasa little older. His name was
Mark. His face was all tattooedup. Yeah. Oh, by the
way, the tattoo place was calledmurder House, murder House, murder House.
E. I must admit there whenshe said the tattoo on the gentleman's
forehead match the tattoo of a tattooparlor called murder House Ink Tattoos, I

(03:14):
think I would have thought to myself, this might not be the proper time
or placed even well, shall wesay, visiting the shop, let alone
walking inside. This young lady withthe spirit of I must have a tattoo
proceeded on. And here's what happened. That didn't spark any ideas it really

(03:36):
should have. Yeah, he says, hum, my girlfriend should be in
there, but it's not. She'snot, and he fumbles for his keys.
He can't find anything. I can'tfind his can't find his keys,
can't can't find his girlfriend, can'tfind his keys. So he takes out
one of his credit cards and unlocksthe door with it. It's probably Bank
American, they're really good at openingdoors. We walk in and the tattoo

(04:01):
shop itself is really dirty. It'skind of dark, kind of dingy.
There's a giant skeleton next to thereception desk, and there's bottles of wine
everywhere. That was probably the personthat got the tattooed that forgot to pay,
honestly. So he takes my licenseand I have to sign all these
papers, and he's working on theprinter that's not working, so he just

(04:28):
yeah, he just takes my licensein the back with the drawing, and
he spends twenty minutes on this tinydrawings that I already gave him a picture
of, so he really shouldn't havetook that long. But yeah, I
get my license back and we andhe gave me. Well at least he
gave your license. Yeah, that'sa good thing. And we get in
the chair and I'm getting tattooed. He's using the outline pin and I asked

(04:53):
him to fill it in, sohe starts fillating it in with the outlining
pin. So it takes a verylong time. Well, yeah, I
would imagine. And yeah, andhe was sucking on a popsicle before he
started it, right, and hemost certainly did do trucks. Oh good
like Yeah. Now, as shewent through all of these interesting points,

(05:15):
you would think immediately in your mind, let's see, number one, he
has murder House for a name ofa company, plus he has it on
his face in tattooed lettering across theforehead. Number two, you'd be thinking,
wow, it takes him twenty minutesto figure out how to fix a
machine that obviously wasn't working. Andnumber three, the popsicles should have given

(05:40):
her an idea when he had topull out his credit card to open the
door because he couldn't find his keys. Now, folks, think about this
for a moment. Could that popsicle, which will be showing up again in
another one of the individuals that isin this story, could that not have
been laid east? Was something magical? Well, let's see, so in

(06:04):
the middle of my tattoo, aman comes in with a top hat and
bedazzled vest and a bedazzled vest thatwas red, and he comes in with
a popsicle as well. Oh yeah, yeah, and I have my cousin
with me, so I'm not entirelyalone. So my cousins sitting in the
waiting area talking to the man witha bedazzled vest, and I am sitting

(06:28):
here in pain because he's just digginginto my wrist. I mentioned it would
be a little painful, yes,but it didn't seem to bother him at
all. No, no, itdidn't seem. Actually, the man in
the bedazzled dast asked him why hedidn't put numbing cream on bees, and
he said, oh, I forgot. So the man it's doing the tattoo
forgot part of the procedure. Okay, now that there again, that makes

(06:50):
sense. And none of this, none of this surprised you at all.
You know, I was already sittingin the chair getting the tattoo. I
couldn't walk away, now, okay. And you didn't have a pop to
go before you went in, okay, I was completely so, very okay,
very good, because we want tomake sure that our listeners understand you're

(07:15):
of normal mind and spirit when youwent into this statue of parlor. I
had a watermelon soda watermelon, sonon alcoholic, non alcoholic, okay.
And he's almost done with my tattoowhen another tattoo artist walks in with a
dad pin, which is a marijuanasmoking pen good, and he says there's

(07:36):
gonna be five girls in here waitingfor tattoos, and my tattoo artist is
like, okay, I'm about readyto finish up with the detailing. Yeah,
And it's a very simple tattoo, just a couple inches. And the
five girls walk in and I'm donewith my tattoo and I'm getting ready to
pay. It's a considered a minimumtattoo. So it was a hundred bucks

(07:59):
and in my wallet, I didn'tknow how much money I had, so
I thought I was giving him notip, and I was kind of scared,
so I just gave him all themoney in my wallet and he was
looking down at it with a puzzledlook on his face, and it's like,
Okay, I gotta get out ofhere because I didn't give him a
tip. But it happens. Igave him fifty dollars and he made me

(08:22):
ring a bell because I was abig tipper, and you got to ring
the bell. I got to ringa bell, and then you figured out
how to get out of there.Yes, I got out there as quickly
as possible. Absolutely amazing. Yes, I really appreciate your taking a moment
to tell us how to get atattoo night on your birthday. That's the

(08:48):
way to do it. Thank you. It's really hard to put into words
how exciting you would be just knowingthat you gave a tattoo hartist who didn't
know how to do the job properlybecause he was under the influence a fifty
dollars tip. I often wonder afterhe counted a tip if he had to
close the store just long enough toget to his local pot shop. You

(09:13):
don't stay to Washington needs those taxdollars. And I'm sure after a hair
raising experience of being able to misplaceyour girlfriend, be locked out of your
own store, and on top ofall that, have all those customers waiting,
you'd have to have something to calmyou down for sure. So remember,
