I'm really excited about today's show, and it's kind of
a last minute thing. I got a note on YouTube
and the guy said to me, he says that if
you do a show about doctor feel Good, I'll become
a member of the operat Important member section. So I said, hey,
you know, doctor feel Good is a good topic. And
(01:19):
I went looking for a guest. And who do I
come up with? But Richard Linzman Lertzman and Bill Burns.
Bill Burns, the Famousuy. You se him on the History Channel.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
What's on?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
So, gentlemen, are you there?
Speaker 1 (01:30):
We are here?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yes, we are okay, great, hey, So tell us about yourself.
Let's start with you, Rick Lertzman. Who is Rick Lurtzman.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
I studied film at USC back in the seventies, got
to know a lot of actors and really studied the
film industry. And I've been writing about the films and
television and really, you know, while I was writing about
Bob Cummings and I was doing the research, I stumbled
(02:01):
upon that the actor Bob Cummings, from Love That Bob
and from even Beach Party Movies and great movies like
a Dialog for Murder and kings Row, he was addicted
to meth andphetamine. And although he was known as this
clean living vitamin taking a guy who wrote a book
called How to Stay Young and Vital, he was actually
(02:24):
addicted to methmphetamine from this man named Max Jacobson. And
while I was doing the research, my writing partner Bill
Burns said, you know, really the story here is Max
Jacobson and Doctor feel Good, And so we went off
and started spending three or four years researching this amazing
(02:47):
man and really how he changed his story, and so
it kind of pushed us into that.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, the book we're going to be talking about today
is Doctor Feel Good, The Shocking story of the doctor
who may have changed history by treating and drugging JFK.
Marilyn Elvis. But there's a list that's in the title.
But there's a list of other names here too as well.
But Bill Burns, tell us about yourself. Who is Bill Burns?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I am. I am the child of two vaudeville comedians,
a song and dance team. My parents started out in
vaudeville very early in the twentieth century. My father was
George Burns's part How we got our name George George
Burns's partner back in the eighteen nineties when they were
(03:35):
both putting on the Lower East Side. I have a
law degree, a jd and a PhD. I spent that
twenty years teaching at Trent and State College and finally
in New Jersey in the English department. And finally I
laughed because I just wanted to be a full time
(03:56):
writer as opposed to a part time writing and sold
a couple of movies out in California. We lived in
California for about twenty years and got into magazine publishing
where I published UFO Magazine for about fifteen years and
(04:17):
about sixteen years, and from that was a springboard to
doing UFO Files on the History Channel. And then I
proposed the television show UFO Hunters to the History Channel
and they bought it, and I spent a bunch of
seasons doing UFO Hunters, and in the last season of
that show, I created the television show Ancient Aliens and
(04:39):
spent about five years doing that show as well. And
then we came back to the East Coast and Rick
and I started doing the Doctor Feel Good book. We
actually started it in California and then I came back here.
We sold the book to Skyhorse and the book's done
very well, and the book has been picked up for
(05:01):
both a documentary series and a scripted television series. It's
under option for that, so we'll see. We were looking
at talent right now and who's going to be attached,
and there's that. Then Rick and I did The Life
and Times of Mickey Rooney and that's now under option
(05:22):
as well, and right now we're working on a number
of other books together.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, if you don't recognize Bill Burns's voice, you would
recognize his face in an instant, because he's all over
the History Channel and he's the guy that's wearing the
sunglasses and the hat, right Bill, Now, I always got
the impression he had some kind of intelligence background CIA
or something.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Well, it goes like this all the way back in
the middle nineteen sixties. I was happily on my way
to law school when our local then back in the sixties,
and I'm sure even today there are members of our
(06:07):
intelligence agencies that are on college campuses. I mean, what
a great place to be an intelligence agent to work
in student affairs at a major university, where you get
to talk to people of all different backgrounds and all
different political persuasions, and it's a great way to keep
your ear to the ground about what's happening. In the
(06:29):
middle sixties, it was right in the very beginning. It
was in the Civil It was during the Civil Rights
movement that the Vietnam War protests were just starting up.
We just started bombing North Vietnam at that point, and
there was somebody where I went to school, and I
was I had been class president, and I was the
(06:51):
treasurer of the student body government. And this person gathered
a bunch of us and said, you know, all you guys,
you guys are all going to work law school or
graduate business school, and you're going to find yourselves caught
up in the draft. I didn't know then that I
would be for f but where we all were, where
we were going, and he said, why don't you, why
(07:12):
don't you do some work for me? We didn't know
who we would organization he was attached to. All he
said was the organization that I worked for on a
part time basis keeps us safe in our beds at night.
And so the job he asked me to do, he said, look,
if you could postpone going to law school and go
to graduate school instead, we have a great job for
(07:35):
you in the housing department as a graduate resident advisor.
And all I need you to do is keep tabs
on this person, Timothy Leary, who was moving to Greenwich
Village and was starting a whole movement to get kids
turned on with the LSD. And so I was actually
working for a three letter agency kind of writing reports
(07:57):
on what Timothy Leary was saying. And the funny part
about that was that years and I mean now, flesh
forward almost fifty years and here we are Rick and
I writing about doctor Timothy Leary, his relationship with Jack Kennedy,
and how his relationship with Jack Kennedy's mistress, Mary Pinschhutt
(08:21):
Myers wound up getting Mary Myers murdered in Washington, DC
as part of the whole Kennedy conspiracy. So it's funny
how things go around.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
The real funny thing is I was worried we wouldn't
have two hours worth of content for this show. Okay,
that's the funniest thing I've experienced that. Okay, this is
great stuff. This guy's got a website, the Life and
Times of Hollywood dot com. Got a new book just
came out, The Life and Times of Peter Falk. Bill
has a book that just came out, Ghosts in the
White House, and one coming out next week. I believe
(08:54):
UFOs and the White House fascinating stuff. So tell me
about this doctor Max. Who's this guy? Doctor Max? Feel good?
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Here?
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Doctor Maxim.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Doctor Max Jacobson came from He was born in Forden,
actually Russia and his father was a butcher. And he
went to the University of Berlin medical school and studied
with a lot of the great minds of that century,
of that era, Carl Jung, Neil Bores. I mean, he
(09:28):
really studied under some great professors and doctors. And he
while he was studying to become a doctor, he started
working on the formula to synthesize methamphetamine and to come
up with his own formula. And this was back in
the nineteen twenties. And eventually he became the doctor, and
(09:52):
he was very ambitious. He became the doctor to the
Berlin Cathy Set, to Billy whe Ernest Lubich and all
those people you can remember from Cabaret. He was in
that era and he became very well known. And while
he was a doctor, he also had helped this young
(10:13):
man who became a Nazi I guess undercover spy. At
that point, he wasn't part of the SS. He wasn't
part of the of the of the Nazi underground, but
he was. He had warned Max Jacobson that he was
on the list. It's Max was Jewish that he was listed.
(10:34):
To him and his family were listened to go to
the concentration camps. So Max Max escaped Nazi Germany and
went to Czechoslovakia with his family and ended up in
Paris where he got to know Henry Miller and June
and a lot of that set. Moved to the United
States and set up practice in New York City.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
How old was he when he came to New York.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
He was thirty five years old. He was born in
nineteen hundred and he was thirty five. He came with
his son. His son's name was Tommy, who was still
a physician, and he came with his first wife and
they moved into He had an office on Lexington Avenue.
Brought his formula with him. Now before he left, the
(11:24):
Nazis came onto his formula of methamphetamin and they in
fact they created purposet from that and they later used
that to treat the as they flew. As the Loofwaff
flew the Air Force, he kept the pilots awake twenty
(11:44):
four to seven. So they took his formula and also
another doctor named thel Morrell who worked for the Nazis
and became Adolf Hitler's doctor. Worked with Max Jacobson and
earned that formula. So once they had that formula, they
had no use for Max Jacobson. So theil Morrell later
(12:06):
treated Adolf Hitler with the same formula, the same method
vetomy that Max devised in Germany, and treated Dyoff Hitler
Untilow's death.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
It's amazing. So if you think about it, this guy,
Max Jacobson had one of the greatest impacts in history
that they could possibly be. Now, was this myth for
was this just like straight myth like we have today
or was it like other ingredients of the kind of
mixtures to it.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
No, it was a compound. I mean what Max Jacobson's
theory was. First of all, at that time in Germany,
we're talking about the nineteen twenties and the immediate years
after World War Two, and Max Jacobson was a young
internist at the Chaudy Hospital in Berlin, and he was
(12:58):
seeing a lot of patients with neuromuscular diseases muscular districty
for example, and the surgeries. At that point, doctors were
very excited that that surgeries could cure all kinds of things.
But the problem was that operating rooms in the nineteen
(13:19):
twenties were not sanitary and that a lot of patients
died from sepsis from an infection from the operation itself.
So for the standard rat was oh, the operation was
a success to bed the patient died. Ax Jacobson was
trying to figure out a way, and this was altruistic.
(13:41):
He was trying to figure out a way how could
he approach certain kinds of ailments without the need for surgery.
And he determined that it was the blood, that if
he could treat a patient's blood, he'd be able to
eat the patient without surgical intervention. And so he began
(14:05):
experimenting with all kinds of ingredients, organic ingredients that rejuvenated
the blood cells. For example, he had a mixture of eel.
Eel is an animal that rejuvenates its own body. If
you cut an eel in half, it grows a new calf.
So he by eels. Eels are great, Okay, how about
(14:29):
sperm from gol, sperm from rams. So he's using all
these animal cultures and he comes up with this concoction
and he says, let me see how it's going to
make me feel. And there was a book Food and
Drug Administration. In the nineteen twenties in Germany, there was
no organized testing of drugs. Here's how doctors tested new drugs.
(14:52):
They injected themselves, abated and die the drugs work. That's
exactly what Max Jacobson did. She injected put sperm cells
and boat cells and eel cells, and he became sick.
He went to bed, he couldn't even get up. Finally,
when the ingredients passed through his bloodstream, he felt great.
(15:15):
And he said, if there were only a way to
mask the effects of these organic compounds on my blood,
that I could inject it. People would feel better and
they would never feel the negative effects in the drug.
And that's when he took this drug methymphetamine that was
discovered that has been compounded very early in the twentieth
(15:36):
century in Germany, also compounded in Japan, and he put
forty milligrams of straight methymphetamine as well as little pieces
of radium in these syringes, in these vials, and that's
what he injected. So he's injecting fortys of methymphetamine to
cover up the effects of all the other chemicals. Unfortunately,
(16:00):
methanphetamine was so addictive that Max Jacobson, the doctor, became
addicted to his own drugs. And that's what propelled him.
And of course methan phetamine gives you an incredible high.
It's a very dangerous drug, but it gave him an
incredible high. It made him feel hyper grandiose, like he
(16:20):
could conquer the world, hyper sexual, He could go on
for hours. And he figured, that's it. This is going
to be the super drug, and that's the drugs he concocted.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
This is fascinating. And I suppose because he didn't have
to go out and rob to get the drugs, he
could just produce it himself. It eliminated that whole issue
with the meth addiction.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Well, first of all, myth was a legal drug, Okay,
wasn't He had his own lab.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Yeah, right, man, unlimited apply Now. Now, was there any
indication because he just seemed to skate over here he
escape Nazi Germany, that he had some kind of intelligence
background or connections.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
Way when he after this Nazi brown shirt? Are this
Nazi brown shirt? This was again early in the thirties,
and the Germans are marching in the streets and they're
singing their songs. You know, Jewish blood drips from my knives,
(17:27):
you know, these great you know, it was like the
top forty hits in Nazi Germany. One of the brown
Shirts paid a visit to Jacobson's office and Jacobson looked
at me like a horror and said, what are you
doing here? You know to realize you're talking to a
Jewish doctor and the guys who listened her. Doctor, I
(17:51):
have a problem that I can't go to a regular
German doctor for I have to go to you because
if they find out I have this problem, gonna throw
me out of the Nazi Party. And Jacobson goes, oh, so,
what's your problem is? I have gone a rhea and
I got it is a woman. I so a prostitute.
I've gone a rheam what am I gonna do? Well?
(18:13):
I can't get treated by a regular by a regular
German doctor who's okay with the Nazi Party. They'll throw
me out. Maybe you could treat me. So Max Jacobson
gives them some treatments, and we all know what the
treatments are. He gives them some treatments and he basically
reduces the symptoms. And the brown shirt said, look, doctor Jacobson,
(18:35):
you are on a list of targeted Jews. You are
going to be picked up. You're going to be sent
away read Germany. Now don't stay. This is the this
is I can't pay you money, but I can pay you,
but I can save your life. Well, that afternoon, Jacobson
packs up his office. He tells his wife we're leaving,
(18:57):
and they fleech Prague and check us the life and
that's where Jacobson meets Well. First they flee to Vienna.
This is right before Anschlus And they flee to Vienna.
And this is before nineteen thirty six. And it's in
Vienna when Jacobson is contacted by a Soviet intelligence officer
(19:23):
for the NKVD, the Soviet military This is before the KGB.
This is the Soviet military intelligence in the nineteen thirties,
and they co opt them. They say, look, you're a
victim of the Nazis. You and I have the same enemy,
our enemy of the Nazis. We need you because you
(19:45):
are dealing with all of these German ex patriots in
Vienna and in Europe. You have an ear to the ground.
Will you please tell us what you learned from them?
And in Vienna in the nineteen thirties that Jacobson gets
turned by Soviet intelligence into a Soviet operative, and when
(20:07):
he came to the United States later in the nineteen thirties,
he came as a Soviet operative. And in fact j.
Edgar Hoover, who is then head of the FBI, knew
that Jacobson was a Soviet operative and said, fine, we
now have a Soviet operative in our sights, and we
will keep him under surveillance. And that's why Jacobson from
(20:29):
the day he arrived in the United States and New
York City, he was under at the ice surveillance.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
This is incredible, Okay, So then what happens.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Now Jacobson moves Jacobson moves into to Lecxington Avenue and
he becomes well known for treating patients with multiple sclerosis,
and he treats him with methamphetamy because he figures there's
no cure, but at least he can make him feel good.
(20:59):
So he treats He treats people with MSS, and word
gets around that this drug that they he treats with
MS makes people feel great, and eventually the word goes
out to Broadway and one of the great Broadway publicists,
Bill I forgot the name again.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Oh A Milton Blackstone.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Milton Blackstone, who is a renowned Broadway publicist. He works
for that he canned her. He works with a lot
of the great stars at the time. He becomes a
patient of Max Jacobson's and he brings Max up to
the Catskills where he becomes this celebrity doctor and he
(21:44):
starts treating a lot of the actors in the nineteen forties.
And so Max becomes like the fair haired boy of
a lot of actors. Because what method vitamin does gives
you great confidence. So a lot of these actors are
up with methaphetamine and going on stage. So you've got
people from the Barrymores, and you've got Alfred Lunt and
(22:08):
Lynn Fontaine. You've got all these great nineteen forty stars
who are shooting up. And one of them who becomes
a patient is el Is Learner from Lerner Lowe, who
is Alan J. Lerner, who is one of the great
producers who did My Fair Lady in Camelot, And he
becomes a disciple of Max. And all the people who
(22:29):
start in the Lerner and low plays, and then all
you know from Camelon on and from all the stars
become Max's patient. So max Is is the fair haired
boy of Broadway. He's the fair haired boy and the
cat Skills. When he goes up, he treats all the boxers.
He treats Rocky Marciano when he's at a training camp
(22:51):
in the cat Skills. And Milton Blackstone is the proponent
of Max Jacobson, so he's pushing him onto everybody in
black Xton later was the agent manager publicist for people
like Eddie Canner and then young people like Eddie Fisher
(23:11):
and Eddie Fisher, who is now this superstar like a
Sinatra coming up in the fifties and who later married
Debbie reynolds Is becomes a proponent of Max Jacobson, and
Max Jacobson is Eddie turns him onto a lot of
people in the business, a lot of the singers. Johnny
(23:31):
Mathis becomes a patient all these great and he only
he really turns into the jet set doctor of the
nineteen fifties. Max's second wife is a fashion model for
Vogue magazine for a lot of the magazines, and he
becomes friends Max with a gentleman named Mike Sammick, and
(23:54):
Mike Sammick is the vice chairman of the Rand Corporation.
He's like he's escaped from He's a Jew who escaped
from from Germany. Became one of the heroes in World
War Two and the Silent Gliders, and so he flew
into into Nazi Germany for the United States, and he
flew in with Walter Cronkite, and he's a great war hero.
(24:18):
And Mike's wife at that time was the editor of
Vogue magazine, and so Edith Sammick becomes and Max's wife
become great friends. So Max is part of now this
jet set of New York. And so people like Chuck Spaulding,
who is the roommate of John Kennedy, and Chuck Spaulding
(24:40):
comes from this wealthy Chicago meatpacking family, goes to all
the right schools. Graduate of Yale and a graduate of
Harvard was JFK's roommate. He becomes patients, he becomes a
patient of Max Jacobson's and so eventually when JFK is
on the campaign trail in West Virginia, his back is bad.
(25:04):
He has Addison's disease. He has a bad back from
p T one oh nine, and Chuck said, you know,
see this doctor I have on on in New York.
He he does miracles. His shot is on. You know,
I just feel great after taking it. So JFK is
has just been in the West Virginia primary primary. He's
losing his voice, he's dragging, and he comes to this
(25:27):
this office and here's this here's Max Jacobson, and Max
is totally unkept. He's not a he's not a Madison
Avenue doctor. Under his fingernail, there's dirt. His lab coat
is stained with blood. And his office is like a mess.
It's in a it's in Lexington Avenue. He's got a
great location, but it's a it's it's a nightmare. And
(25:51):
he walks into the office. Jeff can He goes, are
you kidding? Chuck? He goes, no, no, no, watch and
he gets into the office. JFK gets a shot and
it's almost instantaneous because the method fetaming is injected either
in the neck or in areas that just will give
you an instant response. And all of a sudden, that
(26:11):
pain he's walking on crutches, his pain in his back
is leaving. He feels like he's flying. And he just said,
this is unbelievable, Chuck. And so when he starts going
back on the campaign, trial he's reinvigorated. He's got this
method fetaming. And eventually this brings us up to the
(26:34):
debates between Kennedy and Nixon.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Let me ask a question before that, though, because the
thing is okay, fine, you know, you go into the doctor,
you got a shot, you're good for good twelve hours.
You're taking apart your car and you're rebuilding your car,
and you're drivingly right. But I'm talking about like Rocky Washiano,
And if people are going to see this doctor, would
he get a shot right before the fight?
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Generally yes, I mean, as we'll tell you. You know,
Marilyn Monroe, she's singing Happy Birthday, mister President, has a
shot in the neck right before she sings it, and
there she has perked up. Jackie Kennedy gives a tour
of the White House. Right before she does it, she
gets a shot.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
And would they get shots every day? Like they'd go
back to his office every day and get another shot.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Some people like Alan J. Lerner would come back several
times a day. He would even throw parties at four
am in the morning, cocktail parties in his office with
the greatest stars of Broadway Tennessee Williams and Truman, Capoti
and Gore Videll and Anthony Quinn and all these great actors,
and they'd be having a party with meth and fetamine
(27:39):
shots late at night. So some would take it a
couple times a day. Kennedy would get it a few
times a week. He'd also leave vials and syringes so
they could self inject.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Well, and these parties you talked about at three am,
they were in the doctor's office.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
They were in the doctor's office. And in fact, I
just recently, which he's not in the book, but George Schiegel,
who everybody knows from the Goldbergs in one of the
great acting careers, George Siegel worked in that office during
the nineteen sixties, and he was at those parties.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
George Siegel, the guy from Born to Lose, that.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Guy George Sea, Yeah, who was now with the Goldbergs.
George Siegel was a had worked from Max in the
nineteen sixties. Get Naddy.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Okay, so I interrupted you you're telling me about the debate.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Go ahead, well, Bill can tell you about the debate. Okay.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Well, the debate was a fascinating event because remember Richard
Nixon was a head in the polls going into the
debates in fall nineteen sixties, he'd been the vice president,
he was a senator, well like Kennedy was a senator.
But he was up in the polls. People liked Eisenhower.
(28:51):
He was the lion of the Republican Party. And Kennedy
going into the debates was sick. He'd lost his voice,
he was totally hoarse on the drugs that he'd taken
were wearing off now, and he was in terrible pain.
Nixon was also in terrible pain as well. Remember he'd
(29:12):
hit his knee and his knee became infected. So both
candidates were ailing going into that first debate in nineteen sixty.
Kennedy visits Max. He can hardly speak. I guess he
can hardly speak. And he says, he's got a debate
coming up. What's he going to do? He's behind in
the polls. He's got to take out Richard Nixon at
(29:34):
first Demid, and so Max says, I can fix you up.
He gives Kennedy a shot right in his throat, right
into his voice box, and Kennedy's voice comes back. And
later that evening when they're on the debate stage, Kennedy
(29:57):
also tricked Richard Nixon. His people and Nixon's people agreed
nobody was going to wear makeup, camera makeup for the debate.
Kennedy comes in wearing camera makeup, so he looks tan
and healthy, and he's on methan fetamine, so it's like
he's swinging from a jungle gym. He's so powerful. Nixon
(30:19):
is sick, he's got a virus infection. He didn't put
any makeup on, and he begins to sweat profusely under
the hot lights. So here's the contrast, young, vigorous Kennedy
with a powerful voice and tired looking, sweating, sick looking
Richard Nixon. Well, the polls after that first debate shifted
(30:43):
that night, never went back in Nixon's favor. That's how
important methin fetamine was. That's how it changed history in
full nineteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Yeah, you took the words right out of my mouth.
It changed history in so many different ways. This is
a good time to take a little commercial break. We're
with Richard Lertzman and Bill Burns William J. Burns, and
the book is Doctor Feel Good, The shocking story of
the doctor who may have changed history by treating on drugging, JFK,
(31:19):
Marilyn Elvis and other prominent figures. And we didn't even
touch on Elvis yet.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
My god.
Speaker 3 (31:23):

welcome back to the Opperman Report. I'm your host, private
investigator at Opperman. We're here today with the Bill Burns
(35:52):
and Rich Lertzman. The book we're talking about is Doctor
Feel Good, The shocking story of the doctor who may
have changed history by treating drugging. JFK, Marilyn Elvis and
other prominent figures. Our guests have a website, The Life
and Times of Hollywood dot com. Came in out a
new book about Peter fall keeping out for that and
Ghosts in the White House, and another one about UFOs
(36:13):
and the White House come out next week, all about
the different presidents in their contacts with UFOs. Guys, I
got a question for you. This is like the honeymoon
stage of meth amphetamine use. What about were there people
that were becoming addicted and like picking their face and
doing all that kind of stuff. You know, these these
(36:34):
kind of things we see with heroin. With methamphetamine use.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
In the early sixties, there were the addiction was very strong,
especially with what Max Jacobson was prescribing, which was a
injectable meth aphetamine, so different than the amfetamine that that's
you know, given orally today or or another way. His
was injectable. Well. He created the vials. He had a
(37:04):
laboratory in Point Lookout, New York, which is near the Hamptons,
and Max was partners with JFK's brother in law. His
name was Stash Radswell, Prince Radswell, Lee Radswell's husband, and
they had a partnership in a lab in Point Lookout,
New York, where they created it and sold it nationwide worldwide.
(37:27):
In fact, Stash Radswell was the French connection. He sold
it all over the world and people became very addicted.
Truman Capote himself said he felt like Superman. He just
felt invincible, and then he crashed. Tennessee Williams testified against
Max Jacobson on how he just went way up and
(37:50):
then he crashed, and he it made him. They were
incapable of working at points because of the effects of
the drug. Truman Capotte wrote in Cold blood while on
meth and fetamine, and then when he went cold Turkey
and went off of it, he had writer's block for
several years. He couldn't he could not write after that
Truema capodi the same way he reached his peak writing
(38:13):
under the effects of methamphetamine. Rod Serling was under the
effects of methodphetamine and created the twilight zone for years,
and then when he stopped taking it, he really suffered
a writing block. He just his the depression. The effects
really hurt him. It killed people. It killed Edie Sedgwick
(38:36):
from who was Andy Warhol's muse uh. He he killed photographers,
He killed out Bob Richardson, one of the great fashion photographers.
Eventually was he suffered mental and psychotic breakdowns. The President
(38:56):
of the United States, John Kennedy, crashed so hard one
day that he almost had to be put in a
straight jacket.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
And this is at the hands of a rushing spot right.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Right. And the funny thing about it is another one
of Max Jacobson's patients was this fashion photographer named Mark Shaw.
Mark Shaw worked for a lot of the Glammar magazines.
He was an international photographer. He became famous photographing Audrey
Hepbord in the nineteen fifties, remember the sum of those
(39:31):
glammer shots of Audrey Hepberd. That was Mark Shaw. Kennedy
loved Mark Shaw, and he invited Mark Shaw to become
the Kennedy family photographer at the White House. But Mark
Shaw was or was a CIA non official cover officer
from he'd been in the he'd been in the OSS
(39:54):
in World War Two, and was working for the CIA
in the nineteen fifties and in the nineteenth sixties. Mark
Shaw was also one of Max Jacobson's patients. So imagine
this after White House. There is a doctor injecting methamphetamine
into the President of the United States, and the doctor
(40:16):
is a Soviet intelligence agent who's also injecting the family
photographer Mark Shaw, who's a CIA agent. All of this
inside the White House. It's spy versus spy and you
cannot make this stuff up.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
And he and also met doctor Jacobson uh injected Jare Hoover.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
I was going to ask about Hoover. I was just
about I was just about to ask about Hooper because
if Hoover know this guy was a spy, isn't there
someone who was the grown up in the room to say, hey,
hold on here, guys. There was no one, no oversight,
no one was sober to say it.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
If I told you who'd grown up, there were two
grown ups in the room, unfortunately. One of them was
Bobby Kennedy, okay, and the other and the other one
was LBJ who basically put a stop to all of it.
And if you want to know how, we can tell
you how.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Is that the good part?
Speaker 1 (41:12):
We'll tell you. One great story is that Mike sam
I got to know Mike Samck Bill and I got
to know Mike Samic who was at that point about
in his late eighties. He was the vice chairman of
Rand Corporation, great War hero, was given the Congressional Medal
of Honor before he died, and we got to know
him very well. We sat in his apartment he you
(41:36):
know he is. In his apartment were Matissa's Picasso's renoirs.
And in between all these great paintings was a picture
taken by Mark Shaw, who Bill had just talked about,
the White House photographer on the fifty miles wal hike
in Florida, and there is a picture of Jack Kennedy,
(41:58):
Max Jacobson Pare Sallenger and Stash Redswhell all urinating on
the side of a road and Mark Shaw took this
picture and that was This is Mike Sammock's prize possession
among all these great paintings. Mike Sammick had a jet
and he was one of the great pilots because he
(42:19):
was a silent glider during World War Two. And he
would fly Max on this private plane twice a week
to the White House and Max would come in and
inject jack and then he would inject Jackie because he
started treating Jackie when she had postpartum depression in Florida
after she had a miscarriage, so he became Jackie's doctor,
(42:42):
so he would inject both of them. Well. During one
of the trips, Bobby Kennedy snuck in and took out
vials out of Max's satchel. It was a sloppy satchel
with all of his syrges in there. Bobby lifted those
vials and had it tested and it came back. Bobby,
all of a sudden, his eyes popped out of his head.
(43:03):
He's looking at it. It's thirty milligrams of methanfetamine. It's
got sheep eel and monkey gonads and human placenta along
with the methan fetamine, and also it had steroids. And
he went to his brother and he goes, are you
efing out of your mind? Look at this? And Jack
(43:27):
Kennedy looked at it. He goes, Bobby, I don't care
if it's horse piss, it makes me feel good. So
Bobby waited for Max Jacobson and Mike Sammock and Max
Jacobson flew to the White House on one of their trips,
walking through the back of their back entrance and Bobby
Kennedy stops them. And now Bobby is Max was was
(43:49):
a tall it was like six'. One Mike sammock was
about six' four and here they are standing, over him and,
he goes, you stupid and he called him. A Kite
And max Max who Max and mike samon Who Escaped
nazi germany Did not they love, the president but they
did not. Appreciate this and, he said You think i'd
(44:11):
let A Cheap new york doctor take control of my
brother and inject them with these kind. Of things you're
out of. Your mind this my brother has to His President.
United states he has to be a. Total control how
can you? Do this don't you ever? Come back don't
you ever come and don't you ever fly Back to
you'll never see my. Brother Again so Max and mike
(44:31):
fly back and they're red faced and they're. They're humiliated
And so max writes the letter of resignation and he's
and he sent It To, evelyn lincoln who Is the,
president's Secretary and Bobby reads jack reads it and he
is horrified because he, FEELS great, i mean he he
gives him. The energy he's dependent NOW on, methampheta mean he.
(44:54):
Is addicted so he Calls Up max Jacobs And ma
jacobson won't talk. To him so he Flies To. New
york this is, as president and what he, does usually
what he usually did was get a suite of hotel
rooms At The carlisle Hotel Of. New york so he
got this whole floor to himself and All The secret
(45:15):
service people come. With, him Now what BILL and i
Did was BILL and i got to Know the secret
servicemen who, were There Especially, paul landers who Was on
he was more of a personal friend HIM and i
forgot the other. Agent's name they were both personally assigned
Him And paul landers gave us, exclusive Interviews and paul
(45:39):
is still, around Today and paul Gave us paul was
there as. This happened So the President Summons max jacobs
Into The carlisle hotel and he. Comes in, he Was,
Mister president i'm not going to. Be insulted, HE goes
i want you to work for me. FULL time i
(45:59):
want you to live At The. WHITE house i want
you to and, HE said i can't. DO that I treat.
MS patients i can't. Do that, HE goes i want
you to, come back so he. Gives Me the president
instructs him to give him a thirty miligram shot a,
methodetim in which he does and it doesn't do much,
for him so he asks for a second thirty, miligram
(46:20):
Shot which jacobson is just. Really reluctant, HE goes i
can't and then, he said, YOU know i. WANT this i.
Want this this is part, of it and He, talks
Jacobson and jacobson reluctantly shoots him with another thirty milligram shot.
And leaves so as soon as, He leaves kennedy goes
into a psychotic shock and he starts taking off all of.
(46:42):
His clothing he's, completely nude and he's running up and
Down The carlisle hotel. Completely naked now the floor below
is Occupied With white house and all the. Press corps
so he starts going down into the stairwell to, get
down and they can't let him go there because there
was all of, a sudden the presid will be running
(47:03):
naked down in the lobby of the Of The. Carla
hotel he's out of, his Mind And paul, ANDERS goes
i can't we can't put a. Straight jacket i'm He
his President Of. United states he has, you know he
has to be. In control so they don't know what,
to do so they call a world renowned doctor Named Doctor,
larry hatterer who is chief of Psychiatry At. Cornell University
(47:27):
and BILL and i had the honor of spending a
lot of Time With, larry hatterer Who both larry and
His wife myra were both the prominent Psychiatrists In. New
York And larry hatter comes in and he gives he
he shoots up the president with a downer and brings,
him down and then he Talks to Paul l anders
(47:50):
And The white house and All The secret service and
they and, they say, you Know It's. Max Jacobson So
larry hatter picks up the phone and he Goes and,
larry said doctor, jacob said what did you inject the?
PRESIDENT with i have to know he went into a.
Psychotic Episode and jacobson, GOES that i can't tell YOU
(48:13):
what i did inject. Him with BUT what i can
tell you is if you come to, My office i'll
inject you and you can see how you react. To
It And larry, hatter, goes, yeah, no no we're not
going to. Do that so he never got the Formula.
From jacobson So when BILL and I Met, larry hatter
and this is back in two thousand, And Six larry,
Hatter said i'll tell you. The story i'll give you all,
(48:34):
the details but because Of the hippocratic oath And because,
i'm sworn you can't tell this STORY until i, passed
away and he didn't pass away until. Twenty Twelve so
BILL and i held the story and that's part of.
The book during, our research we held a publication because
we thought this was a key story and it's the
only time it's ever. Been told no one's ever, told
(48:56):
this and we have corroboration from Both The secret service
and from the doctor who, treated Him And larry hanterer
was quoted In The New york times Expos Am, max
jacobson and he never Told this. Dad episode he told
that he Had treated Max s. Jacobson's patience he never told.
That story so at, this POINT the cia and the
(49:21):
entire government is shaken because here's a president who could
go into a, psychotic rate and he has a singer on.
The button and this is During the cuban missile crisis
and the Problems With, nikita khrushchev and it's just Before
the vienna summit that he was going to Have. With khrushchev.
Speaker 4 (49:42):
You mentioned that part of the problem is part of
the problem is that one of the side effects of
methanmphetamine overdose is it makes you. Hyper Sexual max jacobson
experienced this over and over again with a lot of.
His Patients nannie mathis was one, of them and He,
(50:03):
and kennedy who already had Issues as jackie wrote to
her to one of her friends who was in who
was in, the clergy that she was Upset about jack's.
Fooling around jack's womanizing just like. Her Father Black jack
fouvier had, womanized Well so kennedy already had, these tendencies
(50:29):
but when he began taking, the methamphetamines he was like
totally out. Of control so when they would Go To,
New york kennedy would slip away From The secret service
detail and go to visit core girls in Apartments Near.
Columbus circle so here's a guy who is addicted, to
(50:50):
methamphetamine who's making, irrational decisions who is having an Affair With,
malon monroe who's, threatening him who's slipping Away From secret
service agents and having trysts with cor Girls In New.
York city this is What The secret service on THE
C i a most importantly is SEEING. In, jfk.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
Yeah what About The? Secret service were they getting the
shots too or were they step?
Speaker 1 (51:19):
In in what were they Doing The secret service were
not getting, just, no, no no these are these are.
TRUE patriots, i mean these were, war heroes members of THE.
Os S paul landis was a. WAR hero i can't
think of the other gentleman Who Was clint Hill Was
(51:40):
clint Hill And paul anders were Signed To jackie kennedy
and the family details and they were very. PERSONALLY involved
i don't want to go. Beyond This But paul anders
was very Close To jackie kennedy and very close in.
Speaker 4 (51:59):
Fact, poor lander, in Fact, peorl landers was working right Behind.
The kennedy he was On the jackie Detail With, glin
hill and he was walking Behind the kennedy Limousine In
daly Plaza. In dallas and one of The things landis,
told us because we interviewed him extensively for, this book
because he got into Business With mark shaw after the
(52:22):
assassination and was working with. The GUY so, i mean
he was one of the people who named who Code
Named max jacobson Doctor fiel good in the. First place
And poor landers said that when he was working Behind the,
kennedy limo the first shot came from over. His shoulder
that would have been the. Book depository but he said
(52:44):
the second shot and remember This Is. Secret service they
know they know where. Events transpire that's, their job that's
they're trained. To do and, he said the second shot
came from in front of. The motorcade and when he
(53:05):
heard that, second shot he. Immediately football everybody was on.
A lord after the, first shot you Saw These secret
service agents going to. Their weapons the, second shot, he
said came from in front of the motorcade and he
looked up and he saw people running across the Bridge Over,
daly plaza and that's when he noticed that the Back
(53:28):
of kennedy's the back of the the back Of the
president's head had. Blown, OFF so, i mean his testimony
alone throws into question the entire single bullet theory because
he actually saw the effects of that. Second shot and
that's when he jumped on the running board Of the
kennedy limousine and he threw his. Body across that's him
(53:52):
throwing his Body Across jackie kennedy because she's his charge
to protect her from. The bullets so there's, your.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Eye wordness and in our book on the back cover
is the quote From From, paul landers which Is, doctor
jacobson who Was. DOCTOR frankenstein i believe He Murdered, mark
Shaw van Kennedy And White white house fashion photographer with.
His methamphetamine, In Fact paul anders after, he left he
(54:22):
was so depressed after leaving after after, the assassination he
Left The secret service and he became Partners With, mark
Shaw The white house fashion photographer AND a, cia Agent
And mark shaw eventually was Killed By max jacobson and
he and it was covered up By by max jacobson
(54:45):
very powerful friends and the Corner Of, new york which
will come up in a documentary that we're going to,
have soon will testify that He Examined mark shaw's body
and he Determined That max Jacobson Murdered. Mark shaw and, when,
(55:06):
well well we'll say very clearly Is That max jacobson
was a. Serial killer he killed several people with his
drug and he meant to.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
Kill them and the person who intervened To Protect max
jacobson from prosecution Was The New York State, Attorney General,
louis lefelis who was a friend Of. The kennedys.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
Who Else did.
Speaker 3 (55:31):
Jacobson kill.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
Jacobson Killed, edie falco Who Was. Andy warhol's she Was A.
Eadie sedgwick. I'm sorry he was. A fash she was
a in his films and she was. His protege he
Also Killed, mark shaw and he also killed his, Second,
wife nina who was having an Affair With, chuck spalding
(55:55):
Who was JFK's roommate and best friend to the end of.
His life And Because chuck spalley was having an Affair.
With nina. He overdive who goes to his Second, wife
nina put her in the hospital and she died of.
Methamphetamine poisoning what was? His motive we have interviews with
we have Interviews with mac in, the book with, his
(56:17):
son With With, tommy jacobson And With. Jill jacobson we
have extensive interviews with Who Is max jacobson's Daughter and?
Nina's daughter what was his motive? For? Killing.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
Edith saidwick.
Speaker 1 (56:32):
Most of, the time he he angered at the power
he didn't have if you didn't follow. His orders Or
In mark, shaw's case He Thought mark shaw was cheating
him in his Lab In, point lookout and he thought
he was a danger to him with his with. His
wife he thought he was angered at. The affair there's
(56:53):
there's several cases that are that are borderline that certainly
looked through the years that if he if you, angered
him there's. A Chance And eddie fisherman made. This claim,
in fact if you remember many, years ago there was
an Actress. And bewitched her Name Was. Alice ghostly She
played esmeralda and she was a. Designing woman she was
(57:17):
a famous character actress everywhere from the graduate on and
she passed AWAY and i had the we had the
final interview with her before she was dying. Of cancer
and her husband's Name was Felice, or landy who was
in The. Film bullet he was a well known character
actor and he Worked With george Siegel and Felice or
Landy Was max jacobson's office manager because he because he
(57:39):
had to supplement his income as. An actor he Worked For.
Max Jacobson And alice ghostly said that he she that
her husband's death was Due To max jacobson and she
claimed that a lot of people over, the years if
You Angered, max jacobson. Watch out and, you know we
(58:00):
think there's a trace of being of being a.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
Serial killer you mentioned the death Two of Mary. Pinchett
meyer what's the story with, The, yes.
Speaker 4 (58:11):
Well here's The Story Mary, pinchutt meyer, whose sister by,
The Way tony Pinschot Married ben bradley At The. Washington
post her Name Is, Tony Bradley Mary, Pinchott Meyer.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
Tony, bradley, okay yeah.
Speaker 4 (58:29):
We did and that was an astounding interview for. Conspiracy
People But Mary pinchott Meyer Knew jack Kennedy from Harvard.
Knew timothy Mary from harvard and she and and she
was One of jack's, many mistresses and She and jack
were kind. Of soulmates my, old uh my Old Friend
(58:51):
philip corso from Day, AFTER roswell i used to call
People Like, Mary Meyer mary pinchot. One worlders that was
the term in the nineteen fifties. For that joe, mccarthur
used they were. One worlders they believed in this globalist
union of. All countries That, was mary That Was mary
Pinshot and kennedy believed in, that too by, the way
(59:14):
so She and kennedy shared a long sexual history and
they and what she would do is she WOULD get
Lsd From timothy leary Because Remember timothy Weary and huxley
All this huxley worked FOR the cia all the. WAY
back i don't want to take too much time, with
(59:37):
us but all the way back from the very early,
nineteen FIFTIES the cia was experiment and so Was The
army intelligence EXPERIMENTING with lsd twenty five as a mind.
Altering drug that's What got weary involved in it as.
A psychiaty and that's the kind of a goblin as.
A psychologist the EFFECTS of lsd on the huge. In
(01:00:00):
mind i'm not going to go into the whole history,
of this but that was happening in the. Early Fifties
mary pinchot was one of the Students at harvard and
she was TAKING the lsd and WAS bringing lsd To
The white house as early as nineteen. Sixty one And,
after kennedy. They knew the folks who managed the, assassination
(01:00:26):
Knew and i'll tell you the crew in a second
Knew that Kennedy And mary meyer were having. An Affair
mary pinchot HAD married Cia. Agent Cordmeyer cord meyer was
one of the people FROM the cia involved rumor has
it In the. Kennedy assassination So after kennedy was assassinated a,
(01:00:48):
Year Later mary meyer is herself shot on the Canals
in georgetown and they find this. Homeless person they, charge
Him but, jerry says this guy wouldn't even have had,
the brains wouldn't even know which has begun to Point At.
Mary meyer so that murder by the way is. Still
unsolved but Shortly after mary. Is killed shortly after, The
(01:01:14):
murder mary's Sister and mary's brother, In Law, ben Bradley
visit mary's apartment and who do they see in the
apartment Going through. MARY'S Things Cia Counterintelligence Chief James, jesus
angleton and he's rifling through the Apartment For mary. Pincott's,
(01:01:39):
Diary well Tony and ben, said him what are?
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
You doing?
Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
Why here and he Says To, ben bradley who obviously
knows he's the editor of, the post, HE says i
want to read the Diary and i'll give it back
to you if you can give it. To Me so
tony Gives him mary's diary and he reads it and
gives it Back To ben bradley, and says when would
you please This and bradley. Burns it when We Interview
(01:02:07):
tony bradley who said the diary was full of stuff
like philosophical stuff on one. World stuff and Of course
kennedy had been planning, to say this is the big
thing about sending a human being to, the, moon right
a manned flight to. The moon And, so kennedy who by,
(01:02:28):
the way a days before, his assassination sent a note
TO the cia and the heads of the three branches
of the military are saying to release their FILES on
UFOs because he To the russians because he didn't Want
the russians to think that our efforts to launch satellites
(01:02:48):
into space. Were UFOs they'd shoot. Them down so, he,
said look we want to cooperate With the russians. On
this send them all OF our. Ufo files that's a
story for, another day but the point is that this
stuff turns up in. The diary and when We Interviewed,
tony bradley this is what. You said it was an
(01:03:09):
incredible diary. About it it read Like Ravings ben bradley
told us to go take a. Flying leap he said
were crazy, conspiracy theorists and he wouldn't talk. To us
but That's What tony. Bradley said and so the Murder
Of mary pinshot was to get to her diary to
See what kennedy was saying about state Secrets To, mary
(01:03:33):
meyer BECAUSE the cia AND the fbi knew From Tapping
mallon monroe's Phone that kennedy Was Telling mallon monroe about
things LIKE the cia attempts to Kill For, del castro
the secret Airbase, In nevada area, fifty one and the
cash of materials That The united states had retrieved from
(01:03:55):
the Crash. At roswell so this is all the stuff
that He Told, malan Monroe which Monroe Threatened bobby kennedy
with shortly before her quote unquote suicide in nineteen. Sixty
two and so this is how this thing gets really
tied up with a lot of conspiracy theory about that
in the. Nineteen sixties.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
What you mentioned in the blurb for the book that
there's that this had what other influence on the Assassination?
Of kenny did this involve this This doctor Max, and
jacobson or is That it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
The influence was that because of the fear of, the
drug because of the fear of the effect of, the
DRUG the cia was very Worried. About kennedy and there's
Questions About linda johnson's involvement at, this point stepping In And,
roger stone who's a friend of ours and who he
(01:04:49):
is Involved. With Trump but roger wrote a book about
that that we Talked to roger About About. Linda johnson
that makes the accusation that that was one of The
reasons kennedy. Was ASSASSINATED.
Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
Then i got, A question cia Goes, To LINDON the
cia Goes To lyndon johnson is nineteen it is nineteen,
sixty Two and johnson's in a lot of trouble for.
Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
Two, reasons one there's The Whole. Bobby Baker bobby Baker
Was lyndon, johnson's secretary and There Was bobby. Baker's scandal
johnson had been the majority leader In the Senate And
bobby baker worked, for Him And bobby Baker And, billy
celesties and there's a whole scandal In the senate. About,
corruption johnson who'd come To a congress in the nineteen
(01:05:37):
thirties as part Of FDR's. New, deal right it was
like A new jinguish brought a whole bunch Of new
congress people in In the Contract. For, AMERICA WELL lbj
fdr did the same thing in nineteen thirty two With The.
New deal johnson was a new dealer and so he
(01:06:01):
Came to congress in. That class but he is. Very
corrupt he made thirty million dollars while he Was in
congress in the fastest growing industry In The united states
in the thirties, and forties which. Was Communications so johnson
is now in a lot. Of Trouble bobby kennedy is
threatening To throw johnson off the ticket or for nineteen sixty.
(01:06:23):
Four ticket SO the cia Goes to johnson and, they,
say look you have. Two choices. Like monopoly you can
go to jail and not collect your two, hundred dollars
or you can go To The white house and be
president Of The. United states all we need you to
do is. Two things you will, be president and you
(01:06:43):
will have to close down any investigations into whatever Happens To.
President kennedy that's. A b you will follow all the
instructions From The United states army about what we're going
to Do In. Southeast asia, johnson agrees and, sure enough
In The oval office Takes That Lady bird johnson reviewed
(01:07:08):
and that presidential HISTORIAN For Nbc michael beschloss wrote about
the day after. The Assassination when johnson is back In The,
oval office he gets a visit From J edgar hoover
and this is confirmed by three. Other People jed hoover
Says To, lennon johnson, you Know, mister president that this is.
(01:07:31):
On tape, you Know, mister president there is more Than
One lee Harvey Osworld and johnson Says, TO hoover, i
know but let's keep that information from. The investigators so
as a, private eye you know, the law and you
know That what Hoover and johnson agreed to was a
conspiracy after the fact of a murder to concealed the
(01:07:56):
truth from. The investigators it's a conspiracy in after. The
fact on his conspiracies were to. Obstruct Justice under, texas
law that's a. Capital offense that's.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
What happened let me ask you a. Hypothetical question IF
the cia wanted to kill jfkn they had This Doctor
max jacobson shooting him up with this stuff all, the
time why didn't they just give an OVERDOSE.
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
The cia that would have done The Map And max
jacobson did not never cooperate WITH. The Cia max jacobson loved,
The president he respected. The president he had he thought
he was helping. The president he didn't see it as
as doing something harmful to. The president he thought what
he was doing was. Something good so what he saw
(01:08:42):
was here's here's a man Who has addison's disease and
he's very. Very ill he's being Shot From, janet trevelle
who Was The white house Physician With nova kane And
pro Kine Doctor eugene klein was was shooting him, up
with was giving him, opiate opiates And Here's max jacobson
(01:09:05):
shooting him up with. Methan Fhetamine So max sjakobson knew
he was. A Mess max jacobson knew that his life would,
not last, you know over the next, few years especially
because Of the. Addison's Disease max jackson was, above all
he was a. Good physician he understood what he. Was
doing but He Never max jacobson would never give him
(01:09:25):
an overdose. Of, methamphetamine okay there's a.
Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
Private eye. You know there are three ways to commit the.
Perfect crime. Three ways one is nobody knows there's, a
crime so it's a crime that. Goes undetected, two is
you commit, the crime you go, to trial you. Get
acquitted that's the. Perfect crime that's The oj. Simpson case
(01:09:49):
three is you commit, the crime pin the blame on.
Somebody else that person dies and the case. Goes away
and that was the ASSASSIN. Of jfk there.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
You, Go, now now is there anything we haven't covered
IN the jfk saga or period of this Story Of.
Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
Max, jacobson WELL the jfk saga goes On because max
is also the Physician To jackie kennedy and as our
friend From, the crown Wrote, mister morgan as he took
from our book In the Crown That jackie kennedy discussed
her drug use With the queen In. The Crown jackie
(01:10:28):
kennedy continued to become the Patient Of max jacobson through.
The seventies so now it's in the early nineteen seventies and,
to end reporters From The New york times are trying
to investigate a Report That spiro agnew is. Doing drugs
and so In Investigating, spiro agnew they. Started investigating they
(01:10:51):
found out It Wasn't, spiro agnew but It Was president
kennedy who was taking the Drugs And, richard nixon who
was also a Patient Of. Max jaks Sin's Not. Sparrow
agnew and they started having Surveillance of max's office on
seventy Second. In lexington and as they're doing as they're
(01:11:11):
sitting Outside of, max's Office and max's flies under. The
covers he's, he's stealth. He did no one Knows, about
max just the jet set the. Inside people so here
here they're they're sitting outside the office and the reporters
who is two of them we got to know very
well and One Is, Brent Brentzburger brenswa renzenberger is sitting outside,
(01:11:41):
the office And And larry build, The Physician Larry, Lawrence Alvman,
larry alman who is he's still With The New york
times and he's. A physician and they sit outside in,
the car and all of a sudden They See true mcapodi,
Walking Out lee radsweill, Walking Out jackie kennedy walking out of,
(01:12:01):
the office and, they're going what? The hell so they
start they just sit there for days after day, after
day and they see all these, Great People Senator, claude
pepper who's a powerhouse In The United. States senate they
see all these people from, from, Dignitaries Ambassador's ambassador Morales
(01:12:26):
from panama's there. Every DAY. Ellen j lerner is there.
Every Day, mark shaw WHO'S a cia, cover agent is there.
Every day and so they're watching all these people go
in and out of. The office and finally they just
Walk into max's office and They And max jacobson thinks
(01:12:46):
this is a coming out party's he thinks he's going
to be celebrated now for being the DOCTOR. To jfk
he thinks he's gonna come out of the shadows and
here he's going to be a big hero that he's
he's helped all, these people, and uh They they And
So larry, aultman said what are you, giving Them. Doctor
jacobson now what they don't know is by, This time,
(01:13:08):
max said destroyed the Career Of. Mickey mentle he's destroyed
the career Of The new York Announcer. Mel allen they
know anything about. This Man and max is. So proud
he brings out a vial and he turns off the
lights and it's A radio his vials, are radioactive so
they glow in. The dark so he's showing this to,
(01:13:31):
a Physician To larry aufman who's looking at the glowing in,
the dark and, he goes this is my. Magic formula and,
he goes this is what what cures people of pain and.
Of suffering and they See on max's arm that there's
blood dripping Down because max had just self injected just.
(01:13:52):
Before that so they start they start going And Interviewing
jackie Kennedy And gore Vyell And louis lefkowitz and all
these powerhouses All Over new york and all over. THE country,
i mean, you know it's it's it's Not Just, new
York It's. Los angeles. It's actors like almost the list
(01:14:16):
we have and we got the List from, max's Wife From,
ruth jacobson who we have all the, patient lists all
the people that, Went there we have, the billing so,
you know we publish a. Partial list because, Our, publisher
skyhorse at the time our book was was six hundred
and fifty. Pages long they were so afraid of liability
(01:14:36):
they took out a lot, of it which We're not
we're going to put. Back in but we're Talking About. Harry.
Truman bill we just cooperated on A With susan sarandon
on a documentary that's Out About. Hetty Lamarar hendy lamar was.
A Patient marlena dietrich was. A patient so they're all of,
a sudden, you know these two reporters are are on,
(01:14:59):
our type stumbled on this, incredible story and so they create.
An Explosion in december first to nineteen, seventy two the
frontage Of The New, york TIMES and i think it
was like three or four pages full pages In The
New york times were Devoted To, max jacobson and it
(01:15:19):
just sent a firestorm through the. Whole Country heraldo rivera
then jumps on. The story HE'S at wabc and we've Talked,
To heraldo we've been Guests, at Heraldo and heraldo jumps
all over the story and sticks it ALL, over wwabc
AND Then abc news picks, it Up And johnny carson
(01:15:39):
starts making jokes, about it and he talks about he uses,
his name and it becomes a. National tragedy and there's
a lot of methamphetamine doctors in the seventies because it's
not illegal at. That time it has not been deemed
it's still a. Legal drug it's still under. The radar
it has not been, you know it never Became a class,
(01:16:00):
two drug which it. Is now it was never an.
Illegal drug so all of, a sudden everybody jumps all
over this and they start investigating. Other doctors now. The
beat there are other doctors Who. Copied max, you know
when they Do, mad man They. Show MAX the tv
Series mad men showed from Our, book max but also
(01:16:21):
showed another doctor Who. Copied Max but max was the
pioneer of. This drug so all of a sudden it
goes all over the Country and max starts. Getting investigated
there's No New York medical board at. That time it's
done by the state and By The educational board at.
That time so they go through everything and, bring Witnesses
(01:16:42):
And jackie kennedy is. Panic stricken she, is, saying Oh,
dear god this is going to come out, about me
about jack that jack was. On drugs and so she
Goes to max's apartment and we did extensive Interviews With,
ruth jacobson Who is, max's widow And Actress, ruth jacobson
(01:17:05):
who her Name Is. Ruth jacobson she she Was. In
israeli She was max's, third wife and she just died.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
Last year she's not, the actress the, same actress but
that name.
Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
Is she, she's no she's. Not she so she she
she She to BILL and i she Gave us max's
personal manuscript is two hundred and eighty page personally handwritten
and it's typed and we we're the only people To
(01:17:36):
own max's manuscript in his own words of what. He
did and so we have that, personal Manuscript which BILL
and i have In here lockey key and it's it's,
uh uh it's It's every max really documents it Because
here's jackie comes to Him with Louis, and neiser and
she Goes, doctor jacobson you, know you we, LOVE you
(01:17:58):
i always. Love you when you go before the state,
region board please don't talk about my. My husband i'll
pay all your. Legal bills you'll get out. Of this
we'll rescue. Your license we won't won't let you. Get dispired.
Trust Me And ruth jacobson is, very distrustful, you know
(01:18:19):
she she you know in, her words, You know jackie
brings her cheap In the yiddish, word chachikas which is
like odds. And ends so she brings me chachika's off.
The street there are a bunch of. Dust COLLECTORS and
i don't. Trust her she's a cheap mumser AND and
i didn't trust, HER then i didn't never. Trusted Her
but mack here he is he Escaped From nazi germany
(01:18:40):
and it's his dream to Be in america and Treating
the president Of The. United states, he's yeah he writes
in his in his, uh manuscript, HE said i was
a butcher's son from Food, and russia AND here i
am Treating the president Of The. United states so he's,
he's honored and he, you know he's he's risen to
such a. A height So when jackie said to, trust him,
(01:19:03):
he did and that was the wrong Thing Because louis
niser put on a backup attorney in. His Office louis
niser was at that time was one of the great,
legal minds and he was nationally known. TO everybody, i
mean he was one of the one of the top
layers of. All time and so as so as he,
(01:19:29):
trusts her he goes before the. Region board they. Crucify him,
they say you. Did this you, you know here's, your
shipments here's how. Many syringes, you use more syringes than
any position In The united states as a as a.
Single practitioner they uncover. The lab now they're also uncovering
that he's Partners With, Stash Radswell Prince, stash radswell Who
(01:19:54):
Was lee radswell's brother in law and was the brother
in Law Of. Jackie kennedy and so there's only so
far they. Can go but what they do is They
pull max's license in nineteen, seventy three and which he
tries to continue to, get back which he never. Gets
back he continues to supply the Drug To jackie Kennedy
(01:20:16):
To eddie fisher to a lot of the stars all over.
The country he still ships it because he still. Manufactures
it and at that time they Create The, president nixon
who was one of the people who really was one
of the people behind Shutting Down max Jacobson Because max
(01:20:38):
jacobson cut him off of. Methd fetomine he did not
want to give It to Nixon because nixon was mixing,
with alcohol which was the only no No for Max
jacobs and if she cannot mix method fetamine, and alcohol
and if you, do that he won't give it. To
you and He cut. Nixon Off so nixon really forced
the Dea down, max's throat and they Created The drug
(01:21:02):
act of nineteen. SEVENTY two i think it was that,
MADE methodit, i mean the class. To narcotic what About
something here's the.
Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Fascinating, part well here's the fascinating part. About this there
are three issues that are being. Dealt with one was
this whole Story That max jacobson is breaking right about
the same time As The pentagon papers story begins to.
Pop up now remember and you'll see this in The Movie.
(01:21:33):
The post But The New york times had Gone to
washington with the idea, of saying we want to publicize dependent,
on papers And The Nixon white house effectively Shut Down
The New york times from publishing the papers They would
they said it would be an active aspionage the. Classified
(01:21:54):
documents So The New york times was stung very badly
because they Couldn't the, pentagon papers which they. Had discovered
on the, other Hand The washington post simply Published the.
Pentagon papers that's the whole point of that's the whole
Point Of katherine Grain. And badley they Published the. Pendic
papers So The washington post Scoops The New. York times
(01:22:18):
So The New york times is now looking for a
scoop that they could have about. The president what do?
They do their counter response To the pentagon paper story
is to publish these Exposees Of, Max Jacobson, Jack Kennedy
spiro agnew and all these people that are taking. Methonpetamine
(01:22:41):
injections So The, Pentagon Papers, Washington Post New york. Times
rivalry that's part of what's behind the Outing Of. Max
jacobson so that's. Number one number two Was as rick,
Just Said richard nixon Had Sent spiro agnew To Solicit
max jacobson to provide him with the same drugs he
(01:23:02):
Provided To. Jack kennedy Nixon and kennedy were friends in
the late. Nineteen fifties they were, both Senators and nixon
Knew that kennedy had gotten attached to got hooked Up With.
Max jacobson so when he wants those same Drugs and
jacobson turns, Them down nixon. Is furious but that Prompts
The New, york Times Who. Spiro agnue nixon's response is
(01:23:26):
the war. On Drugs So max jacobson becomes the poster
Boy for nixon's war on drugs and the criminalization. Of
methamphetamines and so this is again how The Whole max
jacobson's story central not Just to, american history but to
what's going on today In Our justice department with all
(01:23:49):
the states legalizing drugs, like marijuana with the whole fight
now BETWEEN the doj and various states of a drug
legalization that stems back from forty five years Ago between Nixon. And.
Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
Jacobsen Incredible and i'm looking too because you Mentioned A
yogi Bear And, mickey MANTLE so i guess that the
dynasty Of, the yankees because they were all.
Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
On myth well they weren't all. On Myth jane levy
was a, wonderful writer and She Wrote The last Boy About.
Mickey mannle she detailed a lot About The mickey mantle.
Drug use what really happened? Was that and we got
this from from the writer who wrote About. MEL allen
(01:24:40):
i can't think of the author was a friend. Of
Ours And jane levy was a really great writer for
the and she was a writer For The. Washington post
jane shared with us aw. Her Information mickey mantle was
during the sixty, two season was in that War With
roger marris to hit the most, home runs And so
(01:25:00):
mickey developed a sore on his. Right Hip And mel
allen was a long term Patient Of. Max jacobson now
a lot of people Thought mel allen was drinking because
he would sometimes slur his words in, the booth And
mel allen in fact never drank in. His Life mel
allen was. Doing methamphetaming so, Mel, said mickey come. With
(01:25:22):
me i'll. Take you that sore will be gone in.
A minute come. With me so He walked, mickey down
took Him To max Jacobson And max jacobson which he
was wont, to do would. Reuse needles, You know max
decided he'd like to save a little bit, of money
so sometimes he happened to reuse some needles and He
shot mickey in the hip and he used a, dirty
(01:25:45):
Needle and mickey developed an infection and abscess in, his
hip and it got worse, and worse and all of,
a Sudden the yankees saw It and mickey ended up in,
the hospital and You, Know max he's Calling, up Max
and max's wanted to give him. Another shot, he, goes, no,
no no. No No, So Max mickey mantle Tells the yankees,
(01:26:07):
about this And the Yankees Fire mel allen as their
announcer at the end of the year because they blame
the the that they killed the great home run Race
Between mickey mannele and His Teammate whitey ford In not,
Whitey Four i'm Whitey Four roger merris in. That year
but but what goes on is In which jane didn't
(01:26:29):
know is and we found this Out From eddie fisher
and actually from through a, Roundabout Way, billy crystal whose
grandmother was a Patient Of. Max Jacobson mickey mantle continued
to Go To max jacobson even after, that episode because
(01:26:52):
what he also did was he gave steroids in. That
SHOT as i, said before is included in the methaphetamine,
is Steroids And mickey mantle all of a sudden had.
A rejuvenation here he IS with i think it Was
called ashka slaughter disease where he had that he was.
Born with and also he had he had injured himself
(01:27:16):
making a catch in the outfield he hit a sprinkler
and he had tore his, leg out and so now
you know he had, slowed up and these steroids gave
him this rejuvenation and it allowed him to play into nineteen.
Sixty eight that's because he was going To See max
jacobson as a doctor even after this. Whole mess he
(01:27:36):
saw him because the shots of Methamphetamine that mickey gat
also had steroids and helped him in. His Career so
mickey was technically the first baseball player. On steroids so
you know they're or they're fighting all these Players Like
mark maguire that he can't come Into the Hall of
fame because. Of, Steroids Actually mickey mannel was In the
(01:27:58):
Hall of fame and he was. ON steroid i mean
he was On Through. MAX jacobson i don't care mix getting.
Speaker 3 (01:28:04):
A pass i don't. Care anyone, you know they.
Speaker 1 (01:28:08):
Didn't know, you Know, He mickey mickey just thought it
would help his career, and So but mickey was a
Patient Of. Max jacobson then there's a if anybody wants
to read a, great Book It's The last Boy By,
jane levy and that great Story About, mickey manno a couple.
Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
Of questions you Mentioned that jacobson wouldn't prescribe the myth
if he knew they were. Using alcohol but People like sinatra,
Was Drinking mickey manneal was certainly. Was drinking how come he? Made, exceptions.
Speaker 1 (01:28:38):
No he. Did it, You Know marilyn monroe is a
patient and she had a psychiatrist Named Right. Ralph greensburger
and When When ralph Greensburger Told, max jacobson she she
went To to Jacobson Because lee strasburg had taken a
(01:28:59):
lot of from a lot of his students from actors
Studio To max jacobson because it opened up, their sensibilities
at least that's what he. Called it So when max
found Out that marilyn was drinking and mixing the drugs.
With drink he cut. Her off and it's only when
(01:29:20):
his son moved out To The west coast as, a
physician and she Swore to tommy that she had, stopped
drinking that she no, longer was, you know had she
never consumed. Alcohol Anymore that max actually put her back
as a patient and he supplied methopetomine. To her so
he if he actually suspected you, were drinking he. Would.
(01:29:41):
Not uh sinatra hated. The drug sinatra was just a
short term patient and he hated. The drug And, if
max if he became a long term patient Patient, of
max he would not have been a part. Of it
max would have cut.
Speaker 4 (01:29:57):
Him off and one of the Reasons that max didn't
want to give the drug to alcoholics or the people
who drank heavily was that alcohol had a counter effect
of methamphetamine because alcohol is a. Depressive drug and that's
one of the and that's another reason behind. Maryland suicide
(01:30:17):
she was, taking methamphetamine but she was drinking, very heavily
and she was also taking nambutah as, a sedative so
that mixture was a. Lethal mixture and That's What bobby
kennedy knew About What malon monroe. Was doing so after
she placed a phone call To the Department of Justice
(01:30:40):
Threatening bobby kennedy that she was going to expose or AFFAIR.
With jfka she was going to talk about all the
deep state Secrets that jack had, told her basically. Pillow
talk that's why it all Fell To peter lawford to
make Sure that malon got her vials of methm Fetamine From,
tommy jacobson that he took her nambiuthole the way she was,
(01:31:01):
supposed to and that he made sure that she had
a lot of alcohol in. The house and he basically
kept the maid Away from marylyn's Bedroom when marylyn didn't
wake up and allowed her to slip into a coma.
Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
And died you said he.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Admitted This max jacobson had a son who became a
doctor that was also prescribing.
Speaker 1 (01:31:20):
His Stuff max jacobson's son is That Was Max Jacobson,
west coast and He prescribed he dropped off vials to
a lot, of people people who are still, alive actually
and he Became The west coast Version Of. Max jacobson
and one of those People Were, marilyn monroe who he
(01:31:43):
supplied the day, she died the evening, she died he
had dropped.
Speaker 3 (01:31:48):
Off, vials okay we got to take a. Commercial break
this is one of my. Favorite. Shows, Guys okay i'm.
Enjoying us i'm. Just Fascinated, Richard Lertzman bill burns the

Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
Okay welcome back To The. Opperman report i'm, your host
private Investigator. And opperman we're here today with two of my,
Favorite Guests richard Lertzman And. Bill burns we're talking about
their Book about Doctor, feel good the shocking story of
the doctor who may have changed history by treating AND, Drugging,
Jfk marilynd elvis and other. Prominent, figures NOW when i
(01:37:18):
first saw The topic Doctor, feel good it was most
most recognizable in my mind is his Treating. Of elvis
THAT'S what i thought this whole thing was going to
be At, about elvis, you know but tell us because
he was Even given elvis drugs after he lost. His,
License right.
Speaker 1 (01:37:37):
Elvis was a good friend. Of ours his Name Is,
bob Finkle And bob Finkel Was robert finkel was one
of the great producers. Of television he's one of the pioneers,
who produced starting in, early Television The Colgate comedy Hour
And jerry Lewis And. Dean martin, In fact BILL, and
i our next book Is About, jerry lewis and he
(01:38:00):
Went To eddie Fisher And Diana dinah shore and So
he one of one of The things bob produced Was
The Elvis, Comeback Special This Great, comeback special, And Uh
colonel parker Worked With bob finkel and up to produce.
That Special And colonel parker was a long term Patient Of.
(01:38:21):
Max Jacobson colonel parker actually was from From. The netherlands
he Was No. Colonel parker he had. Another name he
had killed somebody and came over To The. United states
that's why He never elvis never. Traveled overseas and He
brought elvis to the Office Of max Jacobs. Because elvis
(01:38:42):
he He thought elvis needed. Those narcotics the only Problem
is elvis. Hated needles elvis liked to take things. Oral
Life so elvis was a short term patient because he hated.
The Needles But colonel parker remained a long. Term patient.
Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
What About Jerry? Lee lewis was he because he was
on all that.
Speaker 1 (01:39:03):
Stuff Too jerry Lewis?
Speaker 3 (01:39:06):
Was Lewis Jerry, lee lewis, You know, But No Jerry lee.
Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
Lewis was not a Patient.
Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
Of, maxis okay so now You're saying elvis never, took
shots but Was doctor jacobson providing him. With, pills No he.
Speaker 1 (01:39:19):
Elvis did, take Shots but elvis did not like. The
shots he didn't like to take. An injectable he liked
to take. It orally So eventually elvis stopped becoming a
Patient Of. Max jacobson so he was more of a
short term patient than a long, term patient but he did.
Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
Treat, him okay because, IT'S so i guess it's the
common misconception that it was Doctor feel good who provided
those drugs That Killed Elvis thatt danze on his, toilet
there that's.
Speaker 1 (01:39:44):
Not true that's that's that's Doctor uh In, In, memphis
tennessee doctor B and i did an interview, about this
But doctor nicopolis and and He supplied elvis with more
like opiates and drugs. Like that and, in fact one
(01:40:07):
of the people we interviewed who's his name Was Doctor Bert.
Speaker 4 (01:40:13):
Bert Parks, bert.
Speaker 1 (01:40:15):
Parks who claims who really gave us a risp of
great stories about the PARALLELS between Jfk And adolf hitler
AND How theo Morrell Copied. Max jacobson he did a
lot of study. On That bert parks did a lot
of Work interviewing elvis's doctor and became got to know him.
(01:40:38):
Very well and and he he told us quite a
Bit about elvis And. DOCTOR nicopolis.
Speaker 3 (01:40:48):
I noticed you mentioned again in the blurb describing the
book that You Interviewed. George clooney what did he know about?
Speaker 1 (01:40:54):
All this.
Speaker 4 (01:40:57):
Rosie Was, rosemary, Clooney right And When george clooney was
just first breaking into, show business he went to live
with His Aunt rosemary Clooney And, jose ferrar, her husband
and he was, their driver he was, their assistant and
he saw the decline Of Both rosemary Clooney And jose
(01:41:20):
ferrar based On doctor. Jacobson's drugs so he was one
of the people who talk to us about how those drugs.
Affected people.
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Now it this had such an Impact on hollywood and
politics and all. That stuff When doctor jacobson, Went away
i'm sure all these people didn't, just stop you KNOW what.
I Mean and i've heard rumors that there's something that
a Lot of hollywood stars to make them. Look young
they have a little they call it the cocktail with
a little bit of, a testosterone a little bit of.
(01:41:51):
A provisial have you heard anything of what's going?
Speaker 1 (01:41:55):
On today.
Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
Use this Weapon in? Hollywood?
Speaker 1 (01:42:01):
Today sure you know everything from from uh from Uh
uh Prince To, michael jackson it all stems from from
what what was. GOING on i forgot her name who
got killed In. Uh florida, the actress the blonde, haired
(01:42:22):
actress and you know every and a lot of these
doctors are actually disciples Of Who max, jacobson was and
a lot of them Actually Studied max jacobson and what.
He did and the additive is that a lot of
these doctors do in the drugs like testosterone. Or steroids
(01:42:45):
really was Was Was max. Jacobson's, concoctions first, you know
They Called max jacobson's drug a. Drug cocktail it was
the first time and it was a cocktail because As
as bill had, said earlier, you know it has sheep
spur and monkey gonads and eel and human Placenta because Max.
(01:43:07):
And max max did this because he thought, that regeneration
and he studied blood doping and how that would affect
the human System and max's concoction and methamphetamine which she,
included steroids a lot. Of vitamins, you know a lot
of People Like bob cummings came to believe that it
(01:43:28):
was a. Vitamin cocktail they didn't really think about the
mathemfetamine part for. The steroid they thought it was a.
Vitamin cocktail years ago and builded. His Book Was, dwayne
hickman Who Played dobie gillis many, years Ago And dobie
gillis was on. THE show i Love that Bob and
(01:43:48):
Doobie and dwayne Went with Bob To max jacobson's Office In.
New York and dwayne's looking around and sitting in one
Share As, truman capodi sitting in another Chair As tennessee
william and another Chair Is. Anthony quinn another Chair Is.
Gore videll and here's all these, great minds and, he's
going what, the hell it's Just Dumping new york Office,
(01:44:10):
And bob bob comings, walks In And bob cummings is
known as this great. Health proponent he eats vitamins. FOR dinner,
i mean he feeds, his guests, you, Know plankton he,
feeds them, you know all kinds of. Healthy foods so
it doesn't make sense that here's a guy who lives
(01:44:31):
healthy and writes The book How To stay Young and
Vital using he was the first with health foods. Before
anybody he. Sold them, you know why would he be.
Using methamphetamine that's because they believed they had a cocktail,
of Vitamins And bob cummings believed that that cocktail of
vitamins is what kept them young, and vital and he
was looking for that. YOUTH sermon a lot of people
(01:44:53):
in the entertainment business want to stay young, and vital,
look young, stay young and they look for that found.
Of Youth And max jacobson promises that with his with his.
Drugrug cocktail you mentioned.
Speaker 3 (01:45:06):
Blood doping was there any evidence of People like kennedy
was having? Blood doping is basically why they blood blood
transfusions or sometimes your own.
Speaker 1 (01:45:15):
Blood today well That. Was max's max did research on
that starting in the. Nineteen forties he created a foundation
to study. Blood doping that Was his that was his
Goal was he wasn't so much that he wanted to.
Get rich he wanted to become this great doc known
(01:45:39):
as one of the great physicians of. All time and
he studied blood doping starting back in the, late forties,
mid forties and he had. A foundation i can't remember
building the. Foundation's, NAME no i can't remember.
Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
To EITHER but, i mean One of max's great flaws
as a person who's great psycho logical flow is that he.
Was grandiose he was. Hyper grandiose in part that's the
Result of max's doping himself, with methamphetamine because that is
one of the side effects of methamphetamine that you have
(01:46:13):
this sense of grandiosity that's. Completely unrealistic the counter side
of that. Is Paranoia and max had that sense of,
hyper grandiosity and he believed more, than money, that fame
that aduration was going to be his. Great reward that's
(01:46:33):
why When The New york times reporter showed up at,
his office he just opened up his life to them
and Bragged about kennedy And why nixon wanted to talk
to Him AND. Cecil. B demil i mean that great
scene In The ten Commandments Where charlton heston is Receiving
The ten commandments on top of the, mount side that
(01:46:56):
whole Scene is look who the energy in that scene
Is From. Max hinkson what happened Was sweed mill when
he was Filming, in egypt a terrible, heart attack And
his egyptian doctor on set said he would have to
basically step aside from, the film let his assistant director
(01:47:17):
finish the Filming because max Was because dmill was two
weeks to. Go On what demil did was He Called.
Max jacobson, He said i'll fly you Out, to egypt
stay with me on. THE set i need you to
help me finish. This Film so jacobson flies Out. To
egypt he's on the set Of The. Ten Commandments the
(01:47:37):
egyptian doctor is looking at him like who is? This
guy what? You know i'm? The doctor who? Are You
says i'll take over and he starts Injecting. Cebe demil
demill has. More strength his underlying heart condition, doesn't improve
but it's covered up by. The methmphetamine then there's this
one Scene where shardon has to let's go up on
(01:48:00):
the mountain and Receive The, ten commandments and we all
know that very, famous scene but it wasn't energetic enough For.
The Mill the mill was inspired by. The drugs he wanted.
More energy this is it the human beings were Getting
The ten commandments From. THE lord i. Want energy so
he Says, to Jacobson Give charlton heston. A Shot so
(01:48:23):
heston wasn't really enthusiastic, about This but jacison gave him,
a shot and, sure enough that's why that scene is
so over. The top no pun Intended with heston's Receiving The,
ten commandments And ultimately. Dmill died But the jacobson's Influence
in hollywood was really, well known and he Traveled with
(01:48:50):
Ceb de mill all over the world promoting The Movie The,
ten commandments even Visiting the Pope when mill gave him that.
Big donation so it wasn't, just politicians and it wasn't Just,
the kennedy's it was it circulated All. Throughout hollywood and
that's What made, jacobson famous famous enough that in the
(01:49:10):
Movie s Ops That blake, edwards directed he has a
Doctor feel good character in the movie giving injections to
all the. Movie stars and that's the whole Point of
Areef of, Franklin's Song oh Doctor, field Good make Me.
Speaker 1 (01:49:29):
Feel good, In Fact robert Preston played Doctor feel Good
Because blake edwards was a Patient Of. Max jacobson and by,
the way the Organization that max founded to do blood
doping Was Called Constructive. Research. Foundation okay, and also if
you ever see cecil if you Ever See cecily tyson.
(01:49:50):
Ustoll alive when she won the Award For, Academy Award
cecily tyson came up and, she said, thank you, thank YOU.
Doctor mj And That's max jacobson because She Credited max
jacobson with helping her Win The. Academy award it's just
incredible what influence This.
Speaker 3 (01:50:12):
Mad man had you gotta admit the guys in ejecting,
monkey gonads like, You, said now we only got about
less than ten. Minutes left so are there any Questions
about JACOBSON that i? Didn't ask it are really important
you want to get out.
Speaker 1 (01:50:27):
Just the Influence Of max jacobson was was not looked
at until now and through. Our, Book now BILL and
i Read The washington post and there's it's lifted out
of our book and tire Sections about jacobson. And drugs,
you know he really had such an impact on the
(01:50:47):
sixties and seventies and future generations in what. He created
he was the drug culture of. The sixties it really was.
AN offshoot, i Mean Here's timothy Leary With max jacobson
At The white house and they're smoking pots At The.
White house, you Know Here's max jacobson with all. Great
(01:51:08):
Minds Here's, rod serling whose wife complained, to us so
We Put rod serling in. The book but, you know
we talked To del reaesman and the producers Of The
twilight zone who Confirmed That rod serling was a long.
Term patient here's things we watched Today The twilight Zone,
And truman capodi and all the great Plays From. Tennessee
(01:51:30):
williams and it came from this, creative process came from
the Drugs That max jacobson created that sort of opened
up these. Guys' minds it also hurt them in much,
worse ways but it also created a different society starting in. The,
sixties well look at.
Speaker 4 (01:51:50):
The effect that's. Having writing we saw just, this week just,
this week We Saw joe Kennedy, The Third bobby, kennedy's
grandson give the Rebuttal To President trump's state Of the. Union,
Message Well Joe kennedy third is a crusader. Against Drugs
the kennedy family is now a crusader. Against drugs yet
(01:52:13):
it Was jack kennedy's addiction to methamphetamines that really helped
inspire the drug culture In The. United, STATES so i
mean the Effect Of, max jacobson the Effect Of Doctor
feel Good on american politics is being felt just this
week with the Appearance Of joe kennedy as kind of
(01:52:35):
the new face Of The. Democratic party it's fascinating. To
see you tune Into the crown and there is a
Scene Where jackie kennedy is Complaining To queen elizabeth about
her husband's addiction, to drugs and there's the Scene Of
max jacobson giving INJECTIONS. TO jfk, i mean all this
(01:52:57):
stuff is. Coming around when we first, proposed book one
publisher was very excited about, the book but they were
one of the publishers that dealt With the, kennedy family
and from what the publisher, Told Us karen kennedy was
livid about our talking about her father as a methodicted
(01:53:21):
politician in, the book and they deepsickx. The book we
have to go someplace else, with it but the media wouldn't. Cover,
It okay so here's something. Else Too The New york
times is a central character in The Book Doctor. Feel
good why because IT'S what i, said before that rivalry
Between the times in the post Over The. Pentagon papers
(01:53:42):
Then the time seizes On The max jacobson story as its.
Big expose So the times now gets a copy of
The Book Doctor.
Speaker 1 (01:53:52):
Feel.
Speaker 4 (01:53:52):
Good Well jill abraham Says the times was so horrified that,
the book she deemed It An, it's kennedy or that
it be Smirched Like seymour hirsch's book About The dark
Side of camelot Be Smirts the kennedy legacy that it deepseiccks,
the book even Though The New york times Itself And
(01:54:13):
New york times reporters were characters in.
Speaker 1 (01:54:17):
The story.
Speaker 4 (01:54:18):
It's Fascinating The, hubbing Post.
Speaker 1 (01:54:21):
The huffington post had a story that someone they paid
quite a bit for about the book And. The kennedys
according to this reporter who wrote it and who got
paid quite a bit, for this the story was killed because.
Of that so we were all over. THE world, i
mean our book has been In The New York daily
news And The New, york post but we've also been
(01:54:43):
In the london most Of the. London newspapers it's been.
Sold worldwide it's in its. Umpteenth publishing. You know we
had our Series called Doctor feel good Was On reels
channel for ten episodes in. Twenty sixteen so if you
ever turned on The, reel schande You'll see BILL and
i and that series is based on, our book and
(01:55:05):
coming up is a dramatic film, about it plus. A
DOCUMENTARY so, i mean it's it still goes on and on.
And on, but uh, you know sometimes it hurts to
see your your work used without, a credit without. Being credited,
but uh the only research really that has been Done
On max jacobson extensively like this with, you know we
(01:55:26):
spent many many years Talking To secret service AGENTS and
cia agents and going THROUGH the uh The the Freedom
Of information act of going through. THE files a lot
of those files were what we had them were. All ploded.
You know some of them have been recently with With
The donald trump. Letting out some of those papers have,
(01:55:47):
been redacted but they were They were BILL and i
got a bunch of blacked out information, because uh, You
Know max jacobson was a, you know was known to
them as a as. A cage they CONSIDERED a kgv
agent at.
Speaker 4 (01:56:03):
That, time yeah anybody can go TO the fbi website
and Pull Down max jacobson's file FROM, the fbi and
then go TO the cia website and you GET the
cia File On. Max, JACOBSON.
Speaker 3 (01:56:18):
Gentlemen i can't tell you HOW much i enjoyed.
Speaker 1 (01:56:20):

(01:57:10):
eye he had he lost at the cancer when he,
was three and he was he Worked For Tito marshall
tito in the fifties chasing a Girl. Through yugoslavia so
he had a couple of strikes. Against him but it's a.
Great Story joe Montana From criminal minds wrote. The forward

Of how american Presidents From george Washington At valley forge

the discovery the possible discovery of.
Speaker 1 (01:58:24):

Other celestial bodies in our solar System, Like, cassini enceladas,
how UFOs how the APPEARANCE of UFOs affected american, Foreign
policy american, military policy and, domestic policy all the Way.
(01:58:48):
From valley actually it starts in the sixteen nineties With
the salem witch Trials And governor winthrop's relation that THERE
were ufo sidings On The charles river all the way
back in the. Sixteen sixties so it's the. Entire history
(01:59:10):
it's three hundred Years of american history And how american
presidents dealt. With UFOs TALKS about fdr and the food
Fighters In World, War Two harry truman and the Crash AT,
roswell jfk and THE secret ufo files that he wanted
to reveal To The Russians richard Nixon Showing jackie gleason
(01:59:34):
a dead Alien, In florida And Why hillary clinton's Relationship
With john Podesta And john podesta's SUIT of nasa OVER
acrassed Ufo, In kexburg pennsylvania in nineteen, sixty five how
That Affected, hillary clinton And Why bill clinton gave a
(01:59:55):
Pardon to aras To Former Arizona Governor fife simington who
held that funky news conference in nineteen ninety seven where
he had an alien. Show, up well it turns out
that five sevens actually Saw the phoenix lights the flying Triangle,
