“Babymetal just became the first-ever all-Japanese band to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. The kawaii metal group's latest album Metal Forth, which just came out Aug. 8, debuted at No. 9 on the chart, making it their highest-charting release in the U.S. since Metal Galaxy landed at No. 13 in 2019. Metal Forth sold 36,000 units in the U.S. its first week and has accumulated more than 200 million streams globally since it came out. The band's lineup currently consists of Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki). Metal Forth features collaborations with a handful of other heavy artists including Slaughter to Prevail, Polyphia, Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Electric Callboy, Poppy, Bloodywood and ex-Bring Me the Horizon keyboardist and producer Jordan Fish." Speaker 1 (00:01):
Which headphones would you get?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Heavies has significantly longer battery life than Apple, physical ox connection,
dedicated speakers for highs and Lowe's for a real audio experience,
and changeable bandshells. Apple Arapod Max has shorter battery life,
no OX connection, only mid range speakers, and a terrible case.
I don't even know what this is. Do not pay
more money for headphones that don't offer everything that Heavies offer.

(00:26):
These are made for heavy music and much more. Check
us out at heavies dot com. Welcome back to the
Podcast that Rock, the most punctual, on time and perfectly
spoken podcast on the Internet talking about news in the
world of rock, metal and alternative.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
My name is Luke, my name is Alex, and my
name is Roan.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Don't you love doing these intros first time perfectly?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I love having that first shot that we always get
everything right on time too. It's perfect. How good we
are at this. Thank you all for joining us on
this Wednesday evening or afternoon wherever you might be. Hope
you're all doing well. If we get fifty ice, we'll
play one round of festival rocker Flop and there's a goal.
I don't know if these YouTube goals are still having issues,
Like it's a type of situation where for the YouTube feature,

(01:14):
it's sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If we get
five individual super chats of any amounts, we'll add an
extra band to every festival that we do tonight. So
to four, it'll be five. Just something little and then
we already have one super chat, so we'll get to
that at the end. We'll get once there every super chat.
If you do ten or more, we'll give your own festival.
Thank you all so much for here sitting at a
soccer match watching tonight because reasons. Okay, well then, oh.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Like your kid or something, your kid's soccer match. It's
like this is more important.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, go ahead, honey, God.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
She's forward a goal for her own team.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Cool, probably better. Yeah, yeah, you should be glad. I'm
not recording this and I'm watching something. Yeah, you should
be thankful. Thank you so much. Oh, if it's little
colleague soccer, there's more than one drunk dad, there's way
more than one choose. I'm not made of money. You

(02:20):
look it good over there, mom, What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yellow card? Get the hell out of here with that.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
That pad hasn't played in years, just loses their training.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
She's touching the ball to the hands. She's the goalie.
Well that's not allowed.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
You're a goalie.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Kicked out when I did that mine.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
As we make fun of little kids soccer, as all
grown people do on the internets. Thank you all for
joining us. I believe we can just jump right into it.
Does that make sense? We actually have good things to
talk about this week, everybody. It's not a crap week
with terribly the behavior or sad news. We actually have
some nice, positive things to discuss. Does that sound good?
Sounds good to be Yeah, there are some weeks where

(03:01):
we struggle, I mean really dig deep to find one
good thing this week, it's not that bad. Alex and Rowan.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Let me know.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
If you can see my screen, I see it. Can
you see the good news that Baby Metal just became
the first ever band to read some specific chart achievements.
This was posted everywhere when this happened. Metal fourth did
real well, hitting the top ten of Billboard two hundred.
That's big, So the more good news in the world

(03:36):
of heavy music actually charting. That's a big deal. One
other cool thing about this, Baby Metal is the first
all Japanese band to ever do that that I had
no idea was a thing like no other all Japanese
band ever has never charted in the top ten of
any genre until Baby Metal Awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
That's pretty nope, not even like, are we just talking
about America or is it like amer.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
American e so American Billboard two hundred, so that's the
American charts. No other band, all of all Japanese people,
has ever done that of any genre. That's sick, right,
I think that's intense. That's pretty impressive for Metal fourth
to get on that record, and again pre order has
helped it a ton, so proof that paying for your

(04:24):
bands you love really goes a lot further than than
you think it really does.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Oh, it's also not too surprising with all the features too,
because yeah, like a lot of features that they did
get specifically are people and in the both the metal
space that have been like getting into the culturals like
guys I mean, like Poppy and spirit Box. They both
had like very like a public national media attention, like
song like song three Sarget Reveil's getting a lot of

(04:49):
attention to Tom Morrell has been iconstance in the nineties. Yeah,
it's a lot of great stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Like you think about like Ratitata and batally for like
the Two Thugs, those songs have been out for or
well over a year, like going on a year and
a half to two years, but this album still charted
that high. People still wanted it that bad for an
album that had songs that were already available for a
long time. That's impressive. Also, I think it's super.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Cool that this is such a big milestone for both
you know, heavy music and the global metal scene, because
we've had a solid year for the metal world, and it's.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Also such it's been so good.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
It's like one thing after another we keep saying, oh wow,
oh wow, this is awesome. So this is just another
awesome on this tiered awesome of a year for metal,
and then the Japanese music side of it, it's like
super awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
This is so cool.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I follow it up too, Like last year, I remember
thinking the quality of heavy music was so great the output,
and now twenty twenty five, the quality is great, but
it's also getting an appropriate reception across so many platforms,
So it finally does feel like the trajectory is going
in the right place. I promise everyone my vocabulary and
speech are usually not this poor. I don't know what's

(06:03):
going on, but I am a well spoken individual at
all times. Just pretend that was an Internet stutter or
blip blame whatever your internet provider is from just connection, Yes,
from the internet provider itself, not also anything else you
hear from that. It's that their problem, not mine. From

(06:24):
the baby Metal press release, thank you so much for
your support on our new album, Metal fourth around the World.
We hope you enjoy it. Our music and career are
evolving globally and we are moving forward with baby Metal
beyond heavy metal. Our joiney continues and we can't wait
to see you at baby Metal shows in your city
and your country. As it was not just the US
that it did really well in. It was all just

(06:45):
love the album. It's so fun. That brings me to
a great argument too. For years, and that's not an exaggeration.
For a decade, we have seen the angry boomer and
super medal elitists scream online about baby Metal, how it's
not heavy, it's not real, it's not metal, it's not
worth it. Okay, ten years later this happens, and so

(07:08):
many other big names were a part of it. What's
the argument now.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah, you know, I remember it feels like it feels
like all those elitists don't don't recognize anything after the
after like two thousand, like they have a cutoff year
or something. That's how it feels sometimes.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Oh, let's go.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I remember when Rob Zombie came out in the sense
of baby Metal. I don't remember where they toured together,
or if it was a festival or I think how
that came about.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
It was just a photo of them together too. I
think it was like it might've been just a festival.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
And they were just like I think they did, just
outside the.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Taking a picture together, and the old boomers lost their minds.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
He went nuts, and Rob Zombie came to the rescue.
I mean he was like, you know what, these are kids,
and they're out here doing it like they're doing the
music and they're kicking butt and they sound great and
they're having fun, and you know, they've got more energy
than most of the people we play with these days.
And I'm like, hell yeah, Rob Zombie, you tell them
one if you've ever.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Had a problem, is like what, go ahead? Good?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah, No, I was gonna say it's not not The
issue is not like the people that the people that
listen to stuff are not really consuming metal. It's just
like the the ilious sorry I cannot speak right now,
chat you a leaders who complain about the type of thing.
They're just upset that their taste are not the same
as other metal heads tastes like it's only like these
bands that I listen to are considered metal, and if
you don't listen to them, then you're not a true fan. No,

(08:29):
that's just your own personal opinion what you think is metal.
It's so stree.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
I look at all the people, I mean, hayton On,
like sleep Token and all these different genre fluid type acts.
They're gonna lash onto anything. Ooh, just complain about it.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Two things now yeah one ooh, future collaboration, just to
see the old guard lose their mind Baby Metal than
sleep Token, Watch.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
We talked about facebooksick crushed out like a whole section
of Facebook just implodes, servers out on fire from all
the hate instantly at the metaverse.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Number two Rob Zobbi still today, I'm sure it's out there.
One of those times he defended baby Metal, would like
it was a comment some guy left. It's like they're
not even metal blah blah blah. Rob Zobbie replied on
his own account, going more metal than you'll ever be.
It is so great. Yeah, so great. That's so awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
So just because it sounds different to what you're used
to does not mean it's non metal. And it's so
stupid that people cannot fathom that.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Yes, it sucks that they want everything to sound exactly
the same, like the gatekeeping and the elitists. If you're not,
if it's not the exact same thing over and over
and over, they complain about it. But then if it's
the exact same thing over and over and over, they'd
probably complain about it.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, and then look get mad. It's like, oh, why
has it? Why is metal not popular? Don't you guys
know like having any actual music taste? I don't know.
May it's because you scare off anyone who even dips
their toes because they're not listening to specifically the bands
you like. Yes, yeah, yeah, sorry Dan, listen to your
Polish black metal band from the eighties who have recorded
nothing but like twenty copies of like a cassette tape

(10:09):
that sounds like crap to begin with.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Have I go? You told you guys. My Anthrax story
I might have a long time ago. So this happen
when I was back in Florida. I was shooting the
kill Switch Engage Anthrax tour Orlando. Apparently one guy, and
this guy was a loser. He had like the battle
vest and everything super tall in the crowd. It was
Killswitch was ending that night because it was a co headliner,
so they'd switch off depending on city who ended that night. Well,

(10:34):
kill Switch was ending that night and Anthrax was support,
so Anthrax played first. Well, this guy didn't like Anthrax,
so he stood the entire show with his back and
his arms folded for an hour. That's the type of
crap we're talking about that right there.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yep, that's the perfect description.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yes, I just wanted to go. It's like, please please,
First of all, go put on deodor it. Two please,
why did you buy a ticket? Why tell me? Why?
Why didn't you just show up plane that you're gonna
do this? You could do This was at Downtown Disney,
at Orlando, at Houston House of Blues, Just go walk around.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
He's trying to make a statement for a band who
wouldn't even give a crap. They saw him in the
crowd by the way, like, no chance that he did.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
No, dude, you bought a ticket like you supported it,
just like the rest of us making.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
You gave it your money, and you stood in the
middle of the crowd just to do that too, the
middle sous. No you were. I don't think he was
close to the pit, but no, he was out there,
like very visible too.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
And it's just like I was about to say, if
he's like on the if he's on the rim of
the pit, I don't know. Maybe maybe if I'm in there,
maybe I just so happened to run into him or something.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Oh goodness, he probably would have complained about it too
at that point, but whatever. This is a big congratulations
to baby Metal. We love this trend, and we hope
it's a trend because this weekend we might see a
metal album go to number one. Yes, we might actually
see it. Everybody Private Music comes out this Friday, and

(12:07):
there's some unique listening parties going on. Individual I don't
remember all the cities around the world they're offering like
first come, first served screening rooms. There's one in New
York City, one in LA I know those are two
of the US ones. Pitch Black listening experience and they
give you Deaftnes blindfold to experience the full album. That's
how they want to do it. That's not a joke.

(12:29):
So they got a lot of stuff like that, which
is pretty cool. Then on Friday, a lot of final
stores in the US in Canada. In Canada, a lot
of record shops are doing listening parties day off, so
they'll have like a lot of different things, like they
did the whole list on their socials. If you want
to find out a record store near you that's doing
the Deaftones thing, because they've licensed a lot of them

(12:50):
in all fifty states in Canada as well. If that's
your thing. They probably did them in Australia and other
parts of Europe as well. If that's your thing, that
could be a pretty cool thing to go to. Why
am I saying all this two months ago? We didn't
even know we were getting a new Deaftnes album yet,
you guys, remember that, that's how fast it all came out.
This is how it should be. I'm tired of a

(13:11):
band posting a single saying new album later this year.
Two months go by another song, two more months, another song,
and then two more months the album that's over six
months of wait and build up. This right here just
barely over a month, and you have the full album
and everyone's happy. Deftones got their sold out Lake number two.

(13:33):
Everything's going great for them. Reviews are coming in from
the big outlets. It's looking pretty good. And I'll say
my own judgment for that as well. I think this
could be another number one could be you know why,
because I already talked about it, and that was the
same thing for Sleep, Token and Ghost pre orders add
up real big, and we both we all know Deftones

(13:56):
got a lot of pre orders coming.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
It goes Token can Oh sorry, I was just just
gonna say same thing to the Ghost and Sleeptoken thing
we talked about. I was so hesitant to say, oh yeah,
heavy music, rock metal our genre, you know, niche a
little bit. There's no way, there's no way we're gonna
get multiple number ones. And then there's you know, all
of these number ones, and then all of these late

(14:21):
it was like bam, bam bam, and then we got
all these late night shows, and then now we've got
baby metal and it's like there's so many positive and
like insane metal and rock. I guess Landmarks or you
know what I mean, Like it's hitting all of these
different things. So there's like it totally this could very
well happen this year.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
No, Seriously, if if Ghosts in Sleep Tooken can get
a number one album, I have no doubt that Death
Tones can be it. They are arguably bigger than either
of those bands. Like my friend also named Alex just
saw him in Mads Square Garden like an insanely packed
like show. Seriously, and this this is a little bit
more speculative. I feel like the people who like Sleep

(15:03):
Token and Ghost in terms of like a pipeline, they're
the people who would also latch onto deaf Tones music. Yeah,
like it's it fits that sort of same criteria.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Yeah, and look at the massive you know what is
it San Francisco and Oakland and they what they sold
out right away right when they announced those handful of shows. Yeah,
so like they're yeah, yeah, they're doing fine, It's gonna
be great.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
I do love also that the band so far, I'll
say so far hopeful for the future, that potential of
number one. You have Ghost in that style coming big
in the twenty tens, you have Sleep Token going huge
in the twenty twenties. Then you have Deft Tones coming
out of the nineties. So we have different bands that
are heavy coming from different eras, still reaching those heights

(15:46):
and all accumulating into twenty twenty five. Along with that,
you have so many other groups on the periphery. You
have Baby Metal, who hit the top ten even ten
years ago with like Gimme Chocolate coming out. No one
would have saw that coming.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
You know, it's been an insane year, Like who would
have thought that we had knocked loose on Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
You know what I think happened. I think what happened
was Gojira at the Olympics set off some sort of timeline. Yes,
I swear if we think back like that all started
to like just after that happened.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
It's like, that's not a bad way to look at it,
because for one day, in a pretty crappy timeline that
we've had the last few years, everything started like going like, Okay,
we have to turn a corner. Now, this is how
we're going to do it. The most high pressure, elaborate
setup for a song on the biggest world stage ever,

(16:42):
Go Gira, Eure up, don't blow it and they didn't.
Everything worked great, it was perfect.

Speaker 6 (16:47):
Yeah, so everything yeah Olso I'm still I'm still bitter
that Europe they're supporting Metallica.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Why couldn't go to your come to the US for
the Metallica's or I feel like that would have been
awesome too. Yes, I'm bitter and jealous about something very minuscule,
but still let me be bitter anyway.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Okay, I saw Gozera open for Metallica. I'll tell you
about it.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
It's fine, awesome, Okay, I'll have fun on the other
events you're not going to. Now that I'll be going
to a bed.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
It was hard.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Q foghorn sound effect. I don't have enough right now.
I won't even reach for it. Whatever it's there, just
imagine everybody. So I know everyone's gonna want to listen
to it. I'll try to review it. There's a lot
of stuff coming up, but guys, this is great positivity.
Deaf Tones coming up Friday. It's gonna be a big
deaf Tones weekend. A lot of people have that one

(17:42):
friend or know someone from their high school or college days,
no matter what age you are now, because it's becoming
timeless that's way too into deaf tones and gets really
weird about it. Well, this weekend is for them, so
just give them their weekend. Okay, be patients.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
If you don't know that person, you're most likely are
the person. Yeah, so you know what I know I am. Yeah,
so guys, just it's a weekend. Okay, just give them
the weekend. They've been very patient since ohmes years ago.
Let them have it.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
They had to have their little time of reprieve when
Steph started doing more interviews about his beliefs, and they
had to like kind of dismiss that this is the
good weekend.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Though.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
We have private music now and everyone around.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
In five years yep, and.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Everyone around the world can listen to it, around the world,
around the globe can listen to its. That being said,
let us know what your thoughts are. We'll have a
Deftones album versus album coming up for our this week's poll.
When we get to that point, I decided to keep
it done for me. Yeah for me too, However, I

(18:49):
like the album versus album poles we do. We getting
a lot of votes on it. This one we got
when I show the results, way more people voted this time.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
So that being said, I definitely started some wars.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Oh, people get hurt all the time on the internet.
It's fine. So we now go to not bad news
because we were told it's not bad by the person
and the band who made the statement. Betts are now
being placed. Will Megadeth hold their word and actually say
farewell in twenty twenty six final album and a farewell

(19:23):
tour coming next year from Megadeth. I'll read some of
the quote later. It was a long statement, but this
is a pretty much a glorified statement saying he wants
to go out to be able to call his own
shot and go out on his own way, which I
am very in favor of. I do think after decades
of working a band or any type of craft like this,

(19:44):
you should be able to call your own shout and
call retirement when you want, you feel. He didn't say,
to be fair, that he'd never play again live. He
just said final farewell tour and a farewell album. No
more new music. So those are the two big statements.
But end of an air barah, no more potential mega death.
So before I go there, does our residents damas Stain

(20:08):
Impressions have anything they want to say.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Yeah, nothing, It'll come to me when we get into
the conversation. But nothing's coming to me.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Now.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Okay, First, I can't force this, look.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Can't force it. It has to come naturally.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
See if I am not asking you to do this.
If I was a real jerk, I say, read the
entire post in Dave of stain appreciation voice. It's like five.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Oh, that would get old fast. I get off this
call and see if I can still catch the SOHO
listening party.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
For your own sake, I would not do that. For
the sake of Rocks, I would not do that.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Alex can't do our job, Alice job that. Alice can't
do our job tomorrow because her voice is so shocked
from doing a terrible bit online. Oh you guys, Yeah,
so I do want to go on this too. Social
media has been supportive, confused, insulting, and mimable with their

(21:02):
responses quotes. Let's go through some, and I'm showing these
on screen for everyone listening on Spotify and Apple and everything.
Wtfter you mean Mega Death is retiring All Caps Megadeth
are disbanding after the next tour. Apparently. Wow, I'm at
a total loss for words. After four long decades. I
guess all I can say is, thanks for the five

(21:22):
years of wonderful music. Now, does everyone get the joke?
Four decades? Thanks for the five years of music?

Speaker 1 (21:34):
You know what, I'm probably gonnat some flak for this.
I only like, I only go back to like three
Megadeath albums.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Okay, yeah, I think so. I think there's some people
that also in your bank. But still, Ozzie and megeth
gone in less than two months. How am I supposed
to cope with this? Well, Megan, it's not gone yet, dang.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
I mean, come on, those are completely different levels. That's
a bit mich.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
We're reaching a little, You're reaching a little. Yeah, there
will Phil crying. My favorite band ever is calling a day.
I knew this day would one day arrive, but I'm
still not ready for the end. However, this album will
be awesome as always, and I will one hundred percent
be one of your farewell tour shows. See that's a
nice one. So there are some nice ones out there.
Megadeth uploaded a video on YouTube announcing their last studio album,
and the entire video is AI generated. Now, I was

(22:26):
not aware if the AI was video generated. I don't
have the video post him yet, unless they shared it out,
because Loudwire sometimes does sometimes. I saw the video with
Vic Rattlehead and the fire and everything that sounds like Dave.
I don't know if it's aar not. I don't know
if it's aar not. I'm not going to make a
claim on that. Add one more, cannot imagine a world

(22:49):
without Megadeth. I hope this is just Dave Ran raving
on a random Thursday. This camp your that's more than
a rave. Come on, that's like a full statement in
press release?

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Is that? Do they have Dave as their profile?

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Pick sure looks like in a young Dave of staying
with the red hair mm and that it's the emoji
like account. Oh oh, the sick things he must say
on his alt account yaoza, I don't even want to.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Know you up that profile And like in the post history,
it's just a bunch of like post about crapping on
metallica or something.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
That'd be fine if that's the worst of it, that's
still way better than I could be.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
So it's just like four Horsemen was my briff?

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yes, oh man, that's the whole that's the whole tour too.
He just stops every tour said, yeah, that's right. Metallica
didn't have anything to do with this tour. Another thing,
Lars just for an hour, Yes, yes, at every city.
He does that too, Son today.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Dad, Yeah, man, no, miss insert it mustaining grape about
some metallic a song here that.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
At least I didn't make state anger today. There you go,
you know I made risk. Yeah, great, good job, Dave.
That's much better.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Did they the same year or two the same anger?

Speaker 2 (24:26):
There was a few years difference, but like they were
still like somewhat recent, like those were like it was
like ninety nine and o two or something like that.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
That just feels like it's like the dark period of
Thrash medal because even Slayer's output was like craped during then.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Yes, that was also the deal before God Hates Us all.
It's correct, that was a rough time for Thrash. New
metal was thriving, Post Gruns was thriving, and Thrash was
becoming a dinosaur.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
You tell it was a really rough time when they
had all cut their hair off.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, yeah, yep.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Yeah, all downhill from there, It's true.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Did Dave ever cut his hair short? Like the No,
I don't think, so I was gonna say, I didn't think.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
I can't even imagine. What do you would look like?

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Oh yeah, if he was still in Metallica, he'd be
like with the dark highliner, like that one button shirt.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah, with the crew yes, but he has a crew
cut like to match everyone else's. Oh that look weird.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yep, yep. I can picture it and I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
So thoughts on Mega Death actually will it stick? This
is the question, do you think it will stick? As
the actual farewell for megadeath?

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Someone posted, Oh no, not someone posted, but like someone
in the comments of this article said that, like, you know,
the who has been saying farewell tour for like eighty
two and that kind of got to be thinking, like
when you when you say farewell tour, that could be
that could still be years. Honestly with some.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Bands, true so they yes and no, I get maybe else.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
They are.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I'm sick of bands saying oh yeah, farewell tour, oh yeah,
we're done and then doing the kiss thing. Is that's
just bugging me at this point, Like, come on, yeah, that.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Is manipulating people's That is that is manipulation.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
In my opinion is Slayers was at least sincere, like
they had the Big five leg Mega Tour, they were
gone for over five years. But then they also said, Okay,
we're going to come back for a couple of festivals
just to play together. No new music.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
See, I'm down with that.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
That's okay. It's not a tour again. Even that is
way different than going back on tour set. Yeah see
even that too. If like if they wanted to come
back for Ozzy, that's different. But like if you're like
making your own festivals and still selling tickets to other
shows that you're not retiring, like to your own stuff. Yeah,

(26:44):
so I could see.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
If you're still doing the gimmick festival.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, so I could see Megative final album's easy One, well,
the other final album. I could see that. I really
can Yeah, that's.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Well, And they can play.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
They can play into the whole thing that we started
talking about like ten years ago. Ooh, singles. It's just
going to be singles from here on out. Nobody's doing
full albums. It's all just singles. And so Magative I
at least didn't have singles today, but he can do
it like randomly, and he's still and he's still sticking
to what he said, and I'm like, okay, yeah, just

(27:16):
like if.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
He just came out like five years later, it's like, oh, hey,
I had some spare time made this song. What do
you guys think that's cool?

Speaker 2 (27:24):
No one's going to complain about that. If you complain
about that, then you're.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
It's going to be like I thought you said you
were retiring.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
You're supposed to be on a beach somewhere, Dave.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, it's like, what what did you expect when I
say I retired? Do you just break my hands so
I can never hold a guitar again?

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yeah? Exactly. So it's the farewell announcement, the tour, that's
what's gonna get people as So long as he does
it that way, I think it'll be fine. I don't
know what to expect because I think we're all very
jaded and burned by many people's retirement tours. And we
always make fun of Kiss. It's not just Kiss that
has done this. It's not Rolling Rolling Stones have been

(28:02):
doing it, says way before we were alive.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Well, and like you guys said, but who but who's
been doing it since nineteen eighty two? If they do
a Motley crue though, and they're like, we're gonna blow
we have.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
This contract that we signed.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Oh just kidding, We're gonna blow up contract because we're
so cool.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
I'm gonna be super pissed.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Yeah, and then you suck so bad that it actually
makes the rest of your stuff in the past book worse.
That's the Motley Crewe attitude.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Whoof please don't do that.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Megadeth, Yeah, Begadeth would have to try. And also, like
the last time I saw Megadeth live was twenty the
very end of twenty twenty one, right after Pandemic was
wrapping up, and they're like, there was a tour that
approved photographers. I still had to a maskop and everything.
His playing was still good, Like yeah, because he was
still coming off of throat cancer. People forget that, Like, yeah,
he had throat cancer ready beat it, thankfully, But at

(28:50):
the same time, like his playing was still there. So
I hope he's able to call his shot, be in
good health, focus and get everything accomplished that he wants to.
And I mean, we all have agreements and disagreements with
what Dave says outside of the music and sometimes in
the music, but to someone that really did have a
big piece of metal history that's always been with him.

(29:13):
I do hope something like that is able to call
the way it is, like, call his zone shots and
go retirement with no controversy, no shenanigans. I really don't
ask much. I do not ask much, but Boil Boys,
something could happen.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I'm sorry, it's okay.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
I was just gonna say, it's gonna be super weird,
this being I mean one of what we're at two
of the Big four now, so then what is it
just gonna be a countdown for the other two. It's like,
when's it gonna happen?

Speaker 1 (29:44):
I mean, like he Megadeth is the only band of
the Big four I have not seen live, So now
it's like, now I got to make sure that they're
gonna play near me because I would want to see
them live. Rust In Piece is an amazing album, and
I would hope that Dave would recognize that, like, look,
this is just a sort of celebration of our career.
I'm just going to play it say for I'm just

(30:06):
gonna like I'm gonna I'm gonna leave all the drama
off the table.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
I hope so we all can hope we'll see next
year though, twenty twenty six, and again he's not calling
it right now, so I do like that twenty twenty six,
it's gonna be when this happens. Plenty of time to
prepare and get ready and get all the controversial statements
out of your system before you get on tour, you know,
get all that off the road.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Cry yeah, bry fans cry.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
We then move on to actually, let's go a little
bit out of order for what I have lined up here.
Another bit of good news. We were talking about them
briefly because they did stuff with Baby Metal. Just got
announced yesterday and today spirit Box have joined the Gold
Single Club Circle with Me certified gold in the United States. Yay. Yeah,

(30:57):
more proof that this is working. Have music's getting noticed again.
This came out with Eternal Blue. Fun little story about
this Hurt You was going to be the first single
off Eternal Blue. They had a video set the night
before and Mike called and said, I think we need
to shift a Circle with Me. It's like last minutes.
They decided to make Circle with Me the premier single.

(31:20):
Well last minute. It paid off nice, so interesting, little
bit yep as cool. So it's part track downloads equally
gun unit. It one hundred and fifty streams from approved
digital service products count as one unit, so a whole
lot of streams, downloads, and then all the album purchases
and things like that plays online. Yeah, certified gold, So

(31:40):
good for them. Another good band gets another certification. That's
what we need.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
We say it all the time, but that physical media
really goes far. I bought that album right away on CD.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Would you say metal heads in general are more likely
to get physical media?

Speaker 2 (31:57):
I think so, honestly, yes, I feel. I don't know
if they're the most, but I definitely feel they're up there. Yes, yeah,
I think so.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
It's because we, you know, we but honestly, we have
more of like a connection to the music than a
lot of I mean, just like casual music fans, we
totally do.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
It's you can see it at any show.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
It's all we can feel all of the coming together
and the community and like we are really in in it.
The most casual music fans aren't. And so I think
that really helps big time.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I think, like, yeah, you'll get the outliers like the tailor,
the swifties that will pre order everything all vinyl. Yeah,
that happens. But like as a genre overall. I think
that does help out with heavy music because so many
people will like, I mean, this is what we're talking about.
Deftones is going to go to number one in my
opinion probably or my expectation of it, because of all
the pre orders for the new album. So that being said,

(32:50):
let's go back in order for what we were we
were talking about Rydefest. I'm wearing my rye Fest shirt
right now. It's for those who can see us, says Ariot,
instead of dare in the darelow go for those who
are not aware. They have been trying to get John
Stamos there for ten years, literal years. Two years ago
they got a built a bunch of cameos like you

(33:11):
buy cameo online, like they'll record it like a celebrity
or an athlete or have record whatever message. So riot
Fest paid like twenty celebrities just to have them all
say hey, riot Fest, sorry but John Stamos will not
be here. They paid celebrities to do that. Last year
they got an entire butter statue in the shape of

(33:32):
John Stamos. Well, this year, the Beach Boys are advertised.
John Stabos plays drums for the beach boys like on
the touring prode and it's been doing that for decades too.
So John Stamos, in partnership with Ryan Fest, said, I
have a list of demands if you want me to show.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Up, can help chat. You're gonna love this list.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
R Riot Mike, the founder of Riotfest, must get a
John Stamos tattoo. That was number one. Well he did.
Oh it doesn't show the picture, come on, so I'll
just I'll have to look it up later. He got
the tattoo and it says, now this is gonna bother me.
Now I gotta look it up. So like you talk

(34:16):
about the tattoo on the post, but then you don't
actually show what the tattoo is. Got it, okay, show
show and now it's showing me ads and stuff. Just
gonna stall everything. Google's a mess. Oh goodness, it's worse.
I just saw it. I got it. I got it.
I got it. Okay. So on screen you see all

(34:37):
the images, so no above the black you see butter
the black flag logo. Stamos, that's a tattoo and a
half right there. So and John Stamos approved, like he's right,
Mike FaceTime, John Stamos to get it approved and he
says yes, good enough. So what are the others? Yeps?

(35:00):
Number two John Sables lookalike concert must be hosted by
ride Fest. I'm sure that'll happen and they'll be impersonators
and stuff. Three let me see, Yeah, they do a
lot of fun. So, like they have wedding ceremonies there
every year, Like a lot of people try to get
married at the little like the little major. They have
like an officiator there for weddings at ryde Fest, like
next to the carnival rides and stuff like that, because

(35:22):
they have like the big nice cardival rides too. So
Number three a local Chicago pizza restaurant must create a
Greek style pizza named after and in honor of John Stabos.
What is Greek pizza? I'm assuming like olives, like black olives.
Maybe would that be right?

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Bread?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Ooh, okay, the bread Greek yogurt? Okay, so I can
see something working, Okay, John Stamos greene goat cheese. Yeah.
John stambos green room must be stocked with these items.
A body pillow of John Stamos, a nude painting of
b author from Golden Girls, unlimited hummus served in a

(36:01):
Gibson guitar case. Number five, the riot Fest Twitter person
must give John Stamos a foot rub. That might be
the one that breaks it. If you've ever followed the
job the riot Fest Twitter, it is savage, brutal, putting
people in their place. It's like the Wendy's Twitter accounts.
They take no crap. That might be the one that's

(36:22):
the most difficult, especially John Stamos. Riotfest t shirt must
be designed and to approved by John Stamos. That's easy.
No one is allowed to make eye contact with John
stamos hair. That's difficult. Asterisk. People could just deny it,
you know whatever. Whenever John Stamos says riot Fest, he
is allowed to say riot fart. Well, it's fine, John Stamos.

(36:45):
Mass must be printed out for the crowd to wear.
That might that might happen anyway. So so we shall
see what happens at Ryan Fest hopefully. I either yes,
I mean they already got it tattoo. Everything else really
should not be out of out of bounds, you know.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Honestly, the most uncomfortable thing on this for me is
the hummus filled guitar case.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
You don't like everything else.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Fine, it's the hummus. It's the hummus, not the nude
page girls.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Fine.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Man, it feels very airheads.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
I guess Arthur play.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Golden Dorothy was the tall one. She was the main
character that means nothing to me, and she's like, yeah,
she's can dig it. Yeah exactly. So that being said,
we'll see Ryfest looks fun coming up in a month
blank whatd eighty two? We use her Green Day, weird,
al tons of other stuff in nice Chicago, great festival,

(37:51):
terrible football team that Chicago get it because it's the Bears.
Get here. Crap for that. Later a so what article
that we found out? Alex suggested we talk about a
little bit that I think is worth pointing out. One
from Metal Royalty Bruce Dickinson, you need no qualifications to
influence people with some sometimes dumb opinions. That is the

(38:13):
voice of every YouTuber ever right there. Alice, would you
like to talk really quick about what Bruce said?

Speaker 4 (38:20):
Well, first of all, I learned that there is this
little north It's like a northern Italy town, and it's
like a private part of this area with beautiful, picturesque
mountains and travel influencers keep invading this area so much,
to the point where they installed turnstiles to charge people
to come into this area.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
They're all, yeah, they're all these.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Influencers, and I'm like, really, this influencer thing is getting
out of hand. And then I saw this come up
and I'm like, it's just getting worse and worse and worse.
All of these social media influencers they're working their way
into every avenue, from beautif Northern Italy mountainesque views to concerts,
and it's just bugging me so much. And we've talked

(39:06):
about this before, the whole no phones at concerts thing.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
I'm becoming more and more in.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Support of it because of exactly what Bruce Dickinson was
kind of talking about here. He's like, you know, all
they do is share their dumb opinions and they reach
massive audiences and this is problematic and I like to have,
you know, a no phone rule. We have a strict
no phone policy at our shows because of this. They

(39:32):
should not be putting these things out when they have
no footing on sharing all. They're completely unqualified to share
all of these things, these social media influencers. And then
he went on to say, because people were like, well,
hang on, hang on, hang on. You're on stage in
front of tens of thousands of people every night. What
makes it different? What's different from you doing it than
they are? And He's like, you know, we go out

(39:54):
on stage, we do our thing, we say what we
have to say. You come there to see what we
have to say, and then we're done.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
That's it, right. Probably social media your bigus. You get
to see them, So yes, that is how that works.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
Then, yeah, and I completely agree with and understand why
more and more bands are banning phones at concerts. It's
also taking away from the experience from everyone around you.
I watched some old concert footage from the early two
thousands a while back, like one of the you know,
old professional DVD quality shows, and I was like, holy cow, yeah,

(40:27):
appro shot. There was no it was just hands in
the crowd, and I'm like, holy cow, I was so beautiful.
It was such a beautiful time. I miss it. It
was such you could feel all of the energy and
the community come together more and so I totally get
what he's saying.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
Here.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
An early quote in the article that I highlighted for
everyone watching people forget how to be a community. And
that's a big part of it. I'm not saying we
have to go to the full. I don't love the whole.
You have to put your phone and the locked up
glove and you're like, you're not allowed to access to
the end of the show. Tool does it good? Like
you could keep keep your phone in your pockets till
the very last song. You don't have to lock it up.

(41:04):
And if you have to pull out your phone to
do something really quick, just don't hold it out in
front of you. That's not asking that much. You're already
paying for a ticket to see a show anyway.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah. Using the influencers like as an example, those are
the type of people who are trying to like put
together a story or something for a real It's yes,
it's all again their shots. It's all about like getting
the narrative that they want. That's different If I if
I just want to like get like a quick photo
or video of one song, just just as like a memento,

(41:33):
I think that's more than reasonable because like then I
don't have to use my phone for the entire rest
of it. I can just enjoy it. And I think
that's just the way it should be. If you see
some prick like with their phone trying to get like
the perfect shot or trying to like say something over
the song, Yeah they're a jerk. Just ignore them as
best you can. Or I don't know a little bit.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
See I'm short, So anybody who stands in front of
me and holds their phone up the whole damn show.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
Have we're not friends. We're never going to be friends. Yeah,
And it happens so often.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
And that's my thing too, like because like I work,
you know, like I'm in the photopit, I'll take my
phone back, but I try not to block anyone. But like,
if there's that's the thing though I'm working. It's part
of what I'm doing because that's what I'm hired out
to do. Yeah. So the difference though, like you'll see people,
especially closer to the front, that will record entire performances
on their phone, holding it up above them and in

(42:24):
front the entire time. That's insane.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
I don't mind some public shaming to those types of
people like that will probably be the deterrence.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
See, I completely agree with both of you, and I
get the locking your phone up. I know that is
a little bit of that's an extreme and we all
know emergencies come up. Some people actually have solid reasons
that they need to have access to their phones. I
think the honor system, like Tool tries to do, needs
to be implemented at more.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
If not. Yea, all of the show's possible.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
And it's worked. It's been years tools been doing this
and it has worked. That's the thing. It's for perfect
circle shows now too, like the Cescantata shows. They do
the same thing and it works and people like it.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
So yeah, Bruce might be on a perfect really so yeah,
if anyone deviates from that again, shames him. Help call
him out from the path from the stage.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Yeah, hey you with the iPhone seventeen, you know, like
he calls the model up right there. Yeah, we see, dude,
plug your fans at my show. Oh if AXLX. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
If I jump into the crowd to attack the photographer,
one camera, get that guy's camera.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
By the way, security, I'm going home.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
That is a legend, by the way, because that venue
was less than three days old and it got destroyed
three days. Fun facts. I had my high school graduation
at that venue because it's been there ever since.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
No, that's sick co worts at many.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Times that that venue has had some awful things happen
at it. And it's not just guns n' roses. Pigeon
Gate happened there with Kings of Leon, where pigeons kept
pooping on Kings of Leon to the point where they
had to stop the show and cut cancel, and boy,
that crowd was happy about that. Tons of random, ryotic
stuff has happened there. Great fed you. So as we

(44:21):
move on, we have another band to add to our
ongoing coverage of bands pulling away from Spotify. This time
though it's from streaming and mostly Spotify, and it's mostly
the Spotify backlash. God Speed You. Black Emperor pulled their
entire discography, which is quite a bit, and they pulled
it from all streaming services, and this is mostly due
to the Spotify stuff. But they're saying, no streaming's done.

(44:42):
We'll put our stuff on band camp but that's it.
So this is another band that has a decent following
that said we're done with this crap.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
For them.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Yep, I agree. They can make a stick like there
are some bands now and I'm not saying this is
a household name group. They have a following they have
enough of a name to actually pull something like this.
And again there's stuff's on band camp. If you want
it there, go check it out. That's all you got
to do. So good for them.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
The more the more people that do this, and the
more fans that support them in this and start buying
either you know, the band camp downloads or whatever or
just CDs and stuff. I think I think it'll do
so much better. I know, wishful thinking, but.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Yeah, it goes to the band too. And also land
Camp's real easy, real easy. You just it's like old iTunes,
like what iTunes used to be. You just click and
get downloads the songs at their years forever. That's it.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
I got stuff on band camp.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Yeah, so I do wonder who's next. I hope the
precedent still continues, and we keep hearing these bands pop
up to do this saying no, go scree yourselves, Daniel Leck, No,
we're not pulling this anymore, even if it started, keep
it going exactly. So that's an easy way to Mike Stan.
We also have U Squee coming from Alex because the

(46:02):
Pretty Reckless. We'll be having a new announcement this Friday
and the teasiest of teases from one Taylor Momson on
her social media. For those listening not watching, Alex is
wearing a Taylor Momson Pretty Reckless t shirt.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Yea, it came prepared.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
I will say this, this is the actual teasiest of
teases because all she said was Friday and it's a
glitchy black and white photo of muddy dirty Taylor Momson
with their back of metal photo. Oh, Taylor Moms is
more metal than a lot of metal pans out there
right now, way.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
More totally, totally.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
So not only Friday not only geting new depthtones, we're
getting some new pretty reckless something. We don't know what yet,
but something. It's been a while, so.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
Excited it's been with my rock and roll dropped in
twenty twenty one, so it's been a good time.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
I'll yeah. So I was gonna say, someone else squeaid
with you in chat, so you're definitely not alone. So
that'll be fun to check out as we move on
from that. I think that's about all the news as
we start wrapping things up, we do have a lot
of other stuff to go through first. To do this
the proper way. First, I'm going to go to our
poll from last week. For those remember it was Rowan

(47:23):
suggested this time Slipknot self tuned versus System of a
Down Toxicity and Toxicity one handily with over five thousand votes.
It was almost a two third split, sixty two percent
Set Toxicity over thirty eight percent slip Not self titled.
So so, I honestly still a decent showing, and I

(47:46):
only heard saw a handful of people of the no
tact no awareness morons in the chat, saying stuff like
trying to insult one. Almost everyone else was complimentary or
both trying to figure out what to say. That's really it. Yeah,
and for YouTube, that's a big deal. A lot of

(48:06):
good comments on here, A lot of well said comments
though also I want to say, uh, some like one
of the more on comments slip nuts a little heavier
than System of a Down and less cheesy sounding, not
too interested in either band. My stuff's better than both albums.
That's someone I've never heard and some guy's bad. Yes, sure, buddy,

(48:27):
that is not the way to promote your group, by
the way.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
Yeah, like tell me how your how's your band doing?

Speaker 2 (48:35):
Fun? Fact, slip Knot's getting in process to sell their
catalog for a one hundred and twenty dollars. I feel
like this guy's band's not up to that just yet.
System of down about to headlines fill up play Soldier
Field in Chicago, sold out NFL Stadium. Also do it?

Speaker 1 (48:52):
Probably some one metal. It's probably some one man black
metal project that's recorded in like their mom's basement. Anyway,
it's gonna sound like absolute crap.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
And when he said it's yeah, and when he says
his band really is just a him and his imaginary friends,
Oh no, no, that's a Steve plays Base and he's metal.
You know there's no Steve.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Do you guys know? Uh, you guys know the story
about Threaten, the band that tried to fake it till
they make it?

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Yes? I do remember that.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Yeah, goodness, imagine it's the guy from Threyan.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
Yeah, Alex accounts Alex. It's a band that like tried
to like get bookings and stuff say oh my band's there,
like and all this stuff when there was actually no band.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
All right, Yeah, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
It's as thumb as it sounds, right, it's as dumb
as it sounds.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
That's the tip of the of the iceberg.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
That's the summary. But yes, that's how bad it gets,
so it's no it is worth a deep dive. But
that being said, our next poll, I'm gonna type this
out and I'll get it right here, but first I'm
gonna put it in chat. As it's deft Ton's weekend
coming up. I think it's well time. Do you have
a deaft Tones album versus album? Why would I try
to make this easy for everyone? Which deathtnes album do

(50:07):
you prefer? This is for the chat only live. Thank
you for everyone that's wanting us live, by the way,
to vote on this. First up, we got Diamond Eyed.
Second as I can spell COI no yokon. These are
the two albums that came out easy for me Chang
after she died, I passed away unexpectedly. This was the

(50:28):
rebound era for Deaftones, proven they could still rebound after
some tragedy. And these are the two albums that I
always see compared to each other because it was twenty
ten to twenty twelve, So Rowan's a little easier for you.
If you said, Alex, have any thoughts on this one?

Speaker 4 (50:45):
I know which one I would pig just because I'm
more familiar with it.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Deeply because this is.

Speaker 4 (50:50):
When they started shipping all of the singles to radio again,
which is the cocon.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Yep okay, fair enough, rowan go ahead.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
So I gotta specify. I do love Diamondized Koito Yokon,
and that just has a lo nostalgia for me. Just
like Alex, I'm just more familiar and kind of come
back to that album a lot more. Diamondized has some
of my favorite Deathtones tracks of Command Control, Beauty School.
You've seen the Butcher, all great stuff. It is tough,
but I kind of just know it's like, yeah, this

(51:22):
is when I'm in the Deathtones mood. This is like
the one I would kind of go towards.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
Very fair and my exploit, like my explanation for something
like this. As much as I love Diamondize, it is
a singles heavy album where quote no Yokon feels like
a total mesmerizing, in depth experience. I love you seeing
the Butcher too. There's so much good stuff on Diamondized,
and like again that's the rebound album. But Quoto Yoko

(51:47):
is like immersive wohen you get to songs like Tempest
and like the kickoff Swerve City, but then like I
always go back to Entombs, which is one of my
favorite deep cuts on quota of any Deftone song. So
that's it for me.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
The poll right now, Rosemary blew up on TikTok, So
we're talking about just like them gain to number one.
I feel like they got so many new fans because
of Rosemary, So like there's like there's something like that
should be said about that album, just like what it
did for the band, kind of giving them the like
set second life.

Speaker 4 (52:19):
Yeah, I love that that happened. It reminds me of
because we had born this way. Lady God got dropped
in twenty ten. Yeah, then Bloody Mary went crazy on
TikTok and then she ended up charting again. So if
that's any minor outline of what could happen with this
hell yeah, it's awesome to see more fans getting involved
with it, even if it's from one little weird random
track that went viral.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Yeah. Leathers is also one of my favorite uh deftone songs, Chad,
if you don't know that one, I highly recommend it.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
So the polls on the YouTube community tab. I'll link
it out in this week's podcast as well. I'm gonna
leave the poll up in the chat for the rest
of the evening. Just before we start wrapping things up,
I'll see what the results are for the live chat.
It's fairly close right now, so get your votes in
our song of the week before we get to outcoming
tours and albums. Biohazard's back after a long time. They've

(53:10):
already had a couple of singles. They just had a
new single come out yesterday with eyes on six. It's
heavy and I never thought I would hear, like be
able to say something like this in twenty twenty five.
Biohazard is really knocking them down too. It's great, they
sound great, They're on fire. So if you're into that
old style New York hardcore and all that other stuff,
check it out Biohazard eyes on six. I'll link to

(53:31):
that as well. I dig it new album's coming outs also.
I forget the dates, but the new album Divided We Fall.
You can pre order all that. Let me know what
you guys think of that as well in the comments
if you get a chance to listen to it. So
that being said, Alex, we're gonna go for tours first.
What tours got announced this week or this past week?

Speaker 3 (53:49):
I should say Blackstone Cherry are hitting the road. That'll
be super fun. Southern rock group.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
They've got a huge US tour starting later this year
support their most recent album, Screaming at the Sky, going
to start in November. And then we've got Lindsay Sterling.
I know, not quite in our genre, but totally genre adjacent.
She definitely fits in here. She does a lot of
Story of the Year, a lot of really good collaborations.

(54:18):
Story of the Year just announced some tour dates for
the remainder of twenty twenty five. They are going to
be joining forces with Census Fail. It's going to be
like a co headlining tour and it kicks off in November.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
You've got Boris.

Speaker 4 (54:31):
Just announced a twentieth anniversary reissues alongside a North American
tour anniversary reissues of Pink and Drone Bell Sorry, and
then a North American tour to go along with that,
and then Sing with Sugar Bog announced a European tour.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
With a couple of special guests. So that should be
super fun.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
Good pronunciation of saying we shook a bog by the way,
well done.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Thank you, Yes just knew it naturally, Yes.

Speaker 2 (54:55):
You just knew it as soon as you read the word.
It just that's something helping me for outside of America.
That's a word we learn in like Greade School for
spelling tests and stuff like that, saying we shook a bog.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
It's like that's like the spelling bee prep.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Also, for those who are not aware of saying we
shook a bog has the record for most illegible and
ridiculous metal logo. I'm going to put it on screen
right now for those not aware. You see what this is.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Pile of sticks.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Yep, that's the saying we shook a bog. Oh yeah,
that is leather couch for sure. By the way, and
they're aware of what it is.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
I know what you're talking about. That's perfectly legible.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
S Q seven bog. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
So it's like ones like magic eye paintings.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
Oh yeah, you got to put your nose right up
to it then zoom out. That might that actually might
work better. So Rowan dude test. Yeah, oh yeah, I
hope you don't see an actual saying we shook a bog,
which is a medieval toilet for those wondering, that's what
it actually is. So Rowan, it's Deftones's weekends. We want
to hear about that for private music, but also what

(56:03):
else is coming out this weekend because death Tones is
not the only thing.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Oh, we have a stacked lineup besides death Tones. I'm
gonna get like some of the smaller ones out of
the way. First of all, we got Arcadia with the
Exodus of Gravity. This is a synth metal band featuring
Macedon's Brondaylor with guitarist Kit cor Adams. They were previously
together in a band called Gaylord.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
That sounds like Brott Feeler. Yes.

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Yeah, by the way, the band's done, so any aspiring
musicians looking for a band named Gaylord is on the
table again. Uh.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
By the way, that is a very nineties thing. By
the way, that's when the band was on. That is
an extremely thing.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Yeah, But anyway, Dinosaur Pile Up is coming out with
I Felt Better. This is their first album in six years.
They like since Celebrity Manchester. I when that album came out,
I actually got really into them. Chat if you like
sort of classic hard rock grunge music, like, they're a
good band to get into, Like, I haven't listened to

(57:05):
anything off the new album yet or anything they released,
but I'm excited to try to check it out. This
will be a good opportunity to get back into them.
We came as Romans is coming out with All is
Beautiful because We're Doomed. There is an ellipsis in the title.
Solid Medicore band really liked a black Hole, the song
they did with Caleb Shomo. Yeah, so yeah, now we're

(57:29):
getting into some of the good ones. First of all,
Signs of the Swarm to Rid Myself of Truth is
coming out this Friday. Chat. I have only just gotten
into this band because of the singles they've earned releasing.
They did one with Will Ramos of Lorna Shore called
Clatter Retina's and it is so good and like some
of the other songs like Hell Must Fear Me is

(57:50):
absolutely badass. Guys, if you're if you're a death cor fan,
this is an album to look out for seriously, Like
it's fun.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
It was just just heavy. This is why we've been
trying to put them with heavies on their channel. Yeah,
they got a lot of fun stuff too. It's not
just all doom and grou doom and gloom death Cord. No,
it's fun stuff.

Speaker 1 (58:08):
So it's fun. Death Cord. This is like, just have one.
It's like I'm mushing in my living room. Yeah, yeah,
just because I'm that into it. Uh. Three Days Grace
is coming out of alienation, which is, by the way, chatting.
If you've been keeping up to date, that's that's the
album with Adam and Matt. Everyone's back together. Yeah, how

(58:30):
come no one's talked about that. There's a reason you
seem to have forgotten.

Speaker 2 (58:34):
I know, I remember. There's a reason. This is Luke's
opinion only, not alexair Rowans. They have their own opinions.
Do not do not what I'm about to say. Sorry,
I have not overwhelmingly loved the singles that have come
so far from the situation from Three Days Grace, which
is insane because this is a situation where everyone should

(58:54):
be happy. It's everyone on the same page, everyone doing
the same thing together. I have not liked anything they
put out so far this album cycle at all. That's
just me. But no, I did not like may Day
No No.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
The best one.

Speaker 4 (59:11):
Honestly, Okay, so far, and honestly, I'm really really I'm
with you, Luke, I am. I'm going to say it
for myself as well. I'm not super super stout. Sure
the hype did not no, not matchup.

Speaker 2 (59:25):
It's not even so much, it's just the logic behind
It's like this should be at all. Yeah, this should
be a win win scenario for everybody. Row it if
you like it, go ahead like it. I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (59:34):
I'm I'm not giving it.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
I'm not dismissing it until I hear the full album.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
That's fair.

Speaker 1 (59:42):
I'm not gonna lie. I've only kind of like lashed
on to may Day, but I'm still optimistic because nostalgia.
I can't help that.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
I think that's a lot of totally that's fair.

Speaker 3 (59:51):
I will say the baselines are solid.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
Oh yeah, man, talk about taking deep for a compliment. Man,
that groove on that baseline.

Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
M.

Speaker 3 (01:00:02):
Dude, coming from me, that is a solid compliment.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Look, all I'm saying is some of my favorite Three
Days Grace songs are some of the deeper cuts you
don't usually see talk about. So I'm willing to if
I can give the album a listen and find a
good a couple of good songs, I would be like
this is a step in the right direction at least
because I haven't really touched anything during Matt Era Three
Days Grace.

Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
I think that's part of it, because the Adam and
Matt eras are mesodically and like audibly difference for that
as well. So I think that's what's kind of like
people putting people off a little bit, like not knowing
what to expect. We'll find out, though, We'll see. Yeah,
if it ends up being great, I'll come back and
just say, hey, I was wrong. I don't care. That
means we get good music great or you or.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
Even if it's just okay, like solid. It's just something
where it's like okay, first album where they're all back together.
There probably is just still some kinks that need to
be worked out, but yeah, I can at least see
the potential.

Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
The parents just got back together. It's gonna take a
little while for everything gets smoothed out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
I think we made that joke announcement the parents got
back together finally from the divorce. Everything's back. It rappens. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
So and then finally some small band called Deftones is
releasing private music whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Cool so much just said Jet Luke may Day was fine,
just fine. That's the best line.

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
And it was pretty good. When we got the teasers
for may day. I was so stoked. I'm like, okay,
it's like the continuation of some of the other tracks
is is solid. And then it was good, but I
wanted more. And then apologies came out and no offense
to three Days Grace and I haven't heard the full
album yet, but I was not blown away by apologies.

Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
That's fair, was fair?

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Oh, I wanted apologies, get it. I had a cute
up that time. Okay, thank you guys for all the
super chats. We hit our light goal. We have some
festivals to do a bo the worry first, some super
chats from l E eats. Who'll get a super festival?
Being forced to pick one Deaftones album as the best

(01:02:15):
one is like being forced to only adopt one kitten
from a litter of ten. Oh go side note, that's
Snake on the Private music cover is a good boy
from Angela. I apologize if I am not pronouncing that Ruban.
I think I've seen here before in the chat. Thank you.

(01:02:36):
As a child of the eighties, I truly adore finding
new bands. Music is one of how life should Music
is one of how life should be evolving, growing and
giving others a chance to express themselves also name sounds
like angela, Oh, thank you. I should have read that
first before saying Angela, thank you. Yes. Rocket Movies with
Tyler just re upped his membership. Thank you so much
for doing that. You get early access for a video

(01:02:57):
coming very soon for a new series I'm doing. Also
Rock and Movies with Tyler. Let's hope the new Deathtones
album is another solid album. Prayer emoji. We hope so too.
I at rock bottom, you'll get something maybe not a
stellar and that's awesome that you have a band with
that like high of a level. I have a bar,
so you know what. I'm excited for private music. I

(01:03:19):
think we'll be okay. Anything else before we start booking
some festivals. Yep, ready, okay, let's see what we got.
I've been sharing my screen this whole time, right, Okay,
I just wanted to make sure I remember, just like,
because I remember one week I forgot you and I
wasn't like reminded of the various like I didn't say
anything a da da da, so hi No it's not

(01:03:42):
your it's not your fault. I'm the one that did it.
So here we go. Every week we try to book
some festivals from a random folder. That means over two
hundred images. I add more almost every week. There are
some really great ones and really terrible ones, and festival
rock or flop. So first we have our own festival

(01:04:03):
because we had our likeel, and then we have a
few other festivals to book for people that did ten
dollars more super chats. Here's the thing. We're gonna name
our festival after we book the bands. I think that's
a new thing we should do instead of just struggling
to think of a band a festival name. Yes, we
can influence the name more for our festival, just to

(01:04:25):
do it that way. I don't know why I didn't
think of this, So make it fitting. Yes, So here
we go, so everyone knows I'm not cheating. Well, bam,
well bam for our festival. Band number one, Steel Panther
gonna be gross already, real dirty, real, filthy bed Number
two Primus. Oh, this is a weird festival. Weird, weird Okay, Okay,

(01:04:52):
Number three Limp Biscuit. Okay, something's going on with whatever
festival we're booking right now. The audience is gonna have
some problems. Let me rephrase. Security is gonna have some
problems with the people in this crowd. This is going
to be an audience for sure. And band number four,

(01:05:12):
Stone Sour, I feel like Corey is going to be
the only adult in this entire situation on stage, Stone Sour,
Limp Biscuit, Primus, Steel Panther opening up. Would you okay?
While yesterday when the chat, would you go? I don't

(01:05:35):
know what we name it? And I would go because
I want to see Stone Sour again. Primus is fun.
I uh, people watching would be safe from a distance.
Does that make sense?

Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
Yeah? That's fair?

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Okay, Alex, would you go to this festival?

Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
I would. I think this would be fun. It's got
so much chaos. I think it'll be fun.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Rowan, how about you?

Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
This would be hilarious to watch.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
So there is a lot of yeses. There are some
like what are two nose? But yeah, there are some yeses.
What will we name this nonsense? This is a nonsense
in mud rolling in bud put a suggestion in the.

Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
Chat rolling rolling in the My name is mud. I
was like the rolling and mudfest. That's what I keep
thinking of.

Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Oh no, that's kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Actually, you know what, that's fine, that's actually fitting for
a festival of this quality and caliber. Rolling in the
mud fest we got, Yes, it is more. Yeses the
nose in the chat. By the way, there are some
nose but it's having fun. Yes, And there's stones in
the mud because of stone sour. Oh there we go.

Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
Still that's gonna hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Yeah, still passion, you're not into the pond, You're not sorry,
we cannot We don't want to get that much filter there.

Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
Okay, so you know what we're on.

Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
We're on a good track. This is a good start,
all right. I'll watch the document live documentary of it.
Oh yeah, that one would have a documentary made after
it's done, that's for sure. So geat Fest is up.
That's thank you. Ellie Yeats band Number one for yeat
Fest The Cure. I love it already. Good start for
the Cure yet fest looking strong. Number two Boys to

(01:07:24):
Men asterisk They are joining the next band to make
nineties R and B style remixes. So Boys to Men
is going to join the stage with the next band
and it's going to be R and B ninety style
remixes of whatever band it is. Sorry Alex say that again?

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
Yes see what have you done?

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Yes? See he hired me.

Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
I'll tell you this, when did you make it as
a thing?

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
As soon as I shot Boys to Mend it said
I can make that work. Yeah, I hired me to
be an amphitheater photographer. Huh, well, guess what I'm gonna do?
All right, boys de men, It's gonna be ninety style
mixes of.

Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
Wargasm, Lord, Dear Lord and heaven Luke, No, what did
you do?

Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
I'm going this is gonna be great. The cure wargasm
rebate into nineties R and b oooh the crowd demands
at another qualifier, replaced any one of the previous bands
with the next band. Is that what we want to do?

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Okay? Wait, okay, if we if we uh, if we
replaced Boys to Men? Does that? Does that any gate?

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Probably? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
Am? I out voted that? Okay, I give that fine
everyone else. I try to have fun. Okay, we have
the cure.

Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
We want to make money off of this?

Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
That's true. Do you want to make money off of infest?
That's right, the cure.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
How would you have reacted if we did Boys to
Men style the cure?

Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
I don't know, ninety style the cure with love song,
Oh love song with voice dement in it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Friday, I'm in love. Yeah, lullaby, Yeah, yeah, lullaby yeah.
All right. The Cure Slayer Slayer coming back from yeat Fest.
Number three, Penny Wise, I am in number four, Lacuna

(01:09:29):
Coil Fest looks great. I do think it would have
been perfect, but you Fest looks from top to bottom.
The Cure Slayer Petty Wise, Lacuna Coil. I'm up, absolutely
in Yeah. I think this is an awesome line. I
think it's an awesome line.

Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
It too.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
I'm just saying it's not perfect. We saw what perfection
would have been, so no, we did not. I saw.

Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
I see the avoided the dark timeline.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
I see, yes, yes, boo fun haters boys out pos
is gonna be wild, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, okay,
that's open to it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
For a different act.

Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
But wargasm boys to men, I'm not no, I don't want.

Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
To do that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
All fine, fine, all right, that second qualify. I really
save some people that we've got. Angela Fest, Thank you again, Angela.
Number one Kiss coming out of retirements again for Angela Fest. Man,
they just cannot say no, can they? Number two Danny Elfman.

(01:10:38):
I'm down already. Heck yeah, Number three Ginger, huh, it's
all over the place it is. And number four the
pretty reckless. Well, oh man, you know who's going so rowan.
If it's the pretty Reckless and Ginger this festival, alex

(01:11:01):
is not gonna even know we exist. The show. Yeah,
the show's gonna start and she's gonna be gone. I'm busy.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
You're gonna put on like a fake mustache and find
some way to like sneak into the backstage.

Speaker 3 (01:11:14):
That's what I mean. Come on.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Yeah, and then Daddy Alfan too. That's awesome. Yeah, Kiss
is there, but still I go, this is the I'll
grab a beer band. Daddy Elfan's awesome. The whole show
was awesome. House conn attest.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
That's why I said Kiss was the band, not Danny Elfman.

Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
See, yes, go se Danny Elfman.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
Yeah, I'll come back for god it's under that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
Okay, there you go. You see that's her. There's like
one or two Kiss songs you you don't mind sticking
along with? Just stop an hour and a half ultimately
before the headliner, Yes, yes, yes, I see more. Yes
is you know what? Very nice and finally we have
Tyler Fest. Thank you again, Tyler.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Number one, well's my cursor.

Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
There we go. We got suicidal Tendencies, heavy stuff, very nice.
Number two, we got Mumford and Sons very different from
Suicidal Tendencies, very different. Number three Pixel Grip very different

(01:12:23):
from both Mumford and Sons and suicidal Tendencies all over
the place. I'm seeing them in October are Yeah, I
just saw. I think they're going on tour. So add
number four body counts body count and so well yeah
that's peanut butter and jelly right, that's perfect. Yeah, so
that works real well. Also pixel Grip. I could see

(01:12:47):
them somehow fitting in. Mumfort and Sons will sell I
know it's not the festival for this, but it'll sell tickets.
It totally will.

Speaker 1 (01:12:56):
Tripping the brain stamina. I will wait, very cool.

Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
Yeah, bring her out on stage with them, just to
freak everybody out. Yeah yeah, yes, I would go. I
would go. It's weird with mumforted Sons, but I would go, Alex.

Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
I do gotta thank you because of this shown because
of this, like uh like this little segment, this is
what gate. This would put pixel Grip on the radar
for me.

Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
Yeah, I'm I'm I'm having a hard time.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
So we really don't like Mumford and Sons.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
I can personally well, because you're the ring, I get
like you don't like mumforted Sons.

Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:13:39):
Body Count and suicidal Tendencies are super fun, not super familiar.

Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
With sure pixel Grip Grip.

Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
I would tell you the name of my favorite song
by them, but the name, I guess we will listen
to it.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
I'm gonna say, now, Okay, I really yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
If you really can't stand one of the bands and
you had, you were forced for like five years to
listen to them on a lup non stuff, I.

Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
Can see that fair. That's fair. Yeah, it's like did
you hear I will wait? And that's like a freaking Vietnam.

Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
Yes, it's an instant trigger. Absolutely yes, absolutely so No,
I see a lot more yes is. Again, I think
that once you punch of BodyCount suicidal Tennessees, that's too
good to pass up for something like this, and that
works so well it does, so you know what, I
see a lot more yes is. I get the trepidation

(01:14:34):
for some of this, but I still think overall we
have a successful round of festivals tonight. That makes me
very happy. However, there's one more thing we got.

Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
To pull up.

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
I'm gonna leave this nice little photo. It's not super
aligned with the thing because they never are in here.
There we go.

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
There is iced.

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
Our poll in the chat right now live which Deftones
album do you prefer Diamondize or Kino Yocon. It was close,
fifty one percent to forty eight percent. Fifty one percent
quite no yokum, you know what? Just barely ekes it
out barely and I think that's totally fair. Now, that

(01:15:13):
was only a handful of people voting, but it's close.
So the poll is now live on YouTube. I'll look
it out to the actual poll. This is where thousands
of people will vote. I'm curious see what that'll be.

Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
Next week we'll find out that was a good one, Luke, I.

Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
Tried to do something choices. I try to have smart
ideas every now and then. Thank you for analogy that
I actually have.

Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
If you picked like a white Pony, that might have
been too easy my life.

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
And that's why it's like, I don't want to do
white Pony because it's going to be too easy. I
wanted to do two back to back next to each other,
like from twenty ten to twenty twelve. Yeah, right in
that pocket. So poll's open right now. You can vote
on that youuse. I got some of the week that
I'll be pinned to the pin comment on YouTube. If
you're listening all the podcast forms, the link should be
in the description for this week's podcast. Thank you so
much to everyone for joining us this week. I know

(01:15:57):
we ran way over time. I sincerely apologize about that.
We were having too much fun. Again, sorry to my
co host and everyone else for everything.

Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
You never have to apologize, man, you apologize for that
every week. It's never a problem for us. I don't.
It's a problem for anyone the chat.

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
It's a problem for not being punctual. I apologize. Everyone's
also a puppy over here. We get into it very tired.
We did, and we had to be fair. Also, as
I wrap things up and I'm want to stop this
and go here, I will say this, we had nice
positive things to talk about this week. Let us enjoy
this week of runoff. Please we'll be back to weeks

(01:16:31):
of garbage. I promise it's gonna happen. It's on avoidable.

Speaker 1 (01:16:35):
Imagine like to just starting tomorrow we get like the
worst headlines you can imagine. I hope not because the
Grace period is over.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
We'll put that in Frecky.

Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Bobby, that's true. That is some evil right there by
the way. So thank you all again. I'll have a
new video coming up for early excess on YouTube members
and patrons this weekend, hopefully sooner than that, A fun
one for a new series I'm doing. You'll find out first,
Alex anything, what do you have close with before we
start wrapping it up? Rowan? How about you.

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
Just excited about the new death Tones check out the
new signs of Swarm too, And I'm gonna be cautiously
optimistic about three days grace.

Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
So that's fair. That's fair. And you know what Alex
say talking, let's hope for something better, you know, and
that's totally fine. That's happened before with other albums, So
you know what, it's possible.

Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
We said it. May Day was pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
I just want more, Alex said it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Expectation, Alex said.

Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
Alex said may Day was pretty good. I don't say that.
Alex said may Day was pretty good. I did, yeah,
So that's true. So Alex last week was no good
for your dad joke. What do you got this week?

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Win some, you'll lose some? Okay, okay, what do you
call a woman who burns all her credit card bills?

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
I don't know, rowan no idea. Okay, what do you get?
What is it?

Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
Nadette?

Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Come on, you're laughing? It was?

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
It was on me. I was like smiling, I trying
to like, don't do it, don't do it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:15):
Yeah, both of you.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
It's like, yeah, I laugh because you. I was fighting
the smile.

Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
That was that.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
This one was more on me. This one was more
of me.

Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
You you laughing at your joke in complete silence while
me and him are dead.

Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Eyed like stone. That's what I was laughing at. That's
your fault.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
To be fair, Alic wasn't like, ah, wasn't it funny?
She wasn't being like that, So.

Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Okay, that's to my point, because it was like, oh,
she's laughing like it was a genuinely good joke. I was.

Speaker 4 (01:18:50):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
I was generally trying to fight the smile. I was
trying to fight it because I was like.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
That I have, sir, so you know what I probably have. Yeah,
this is my for the weakness. Someone just said, oh,
Bernadette burna debt, thank you for spelling out the joke.
Thank you. Yes, that is what that means. Murphy's law.
Oh my god, I got it. Okay, you're getting a
lot of actual praise and nothing thrown at you. That
one's a bit creative. Loull I cracked a smile.

Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Throwing ducks.

Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Someone's throwing snakes for deaf tones.

Speaker 1 (01:19:23):
Oh those are snakes. They look like ducks.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
Really, I have, like really like I get it because
like a bill. Okay, okay, is it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
Quacking you up?

Speaker 4 (01:19:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
Are the you burning money? Or are you burning money.

Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
For interpretation?

Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
I guess yeah, fall acord again, I was thinking Redhead,
but that one's on fire. Like all right, everyone's trying
their own bad comedy in the chat room right now. Okay,
more snakes. Someone's really laughing about this. A lot more snakes,
so yeah, double wind quack. Okay, we're wrapping, we're going home.

(01:20:11):
Everyone needs to go to bed. Clearly it's passed where
everyone's bedtime at this point. Yeah, oh goodness, Now the
duck runs are gonna come in. Oh yeah, by the way,
and chat there's an actual duck and there's the snake.

Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
It looks like a baby duckish baby duck.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
I get what you were going for. After I looked
at like, oh, the tongue looks like the bill got it,
so I at least understand.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
Yeah, and like even how it's a coiled up it
looks like a wing.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Just told my family this and they got a kick
out of it. Well, you know what, another family got
a joke from Alex got in your lab.

Speaker 1 (01:20:52):
So there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
What's this game called?

Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
Last week you didn't win it? This week you did,
so you know what. You're back on chat, back on track.

Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Anyone in chat like a toll of the winds and losses?

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
Oh keep no, no, we don't believe it. Statistics on
this show. Good night everybody. We're all friends here. Let's
not kind of like a rubber ducky all there. So
everyone go to bed. It's past everyone's bedtime.

Speaker 1 (01:21:26):
