Speaker 1 (00:11):
Welcome back to the podcast That Rocks Weekly podcast. It
talks about news in the world of rock, metal, alternative
and everything in between.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
My name is Luke, my name is Alex.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
And my name is Rowan.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Thank you so much for tuning in on this Wednesday
evening or afternoon or Thursday morning, wherever it is, wherever
you are right now listening and watching. Thank you for
being here with us. Hope you're all doing well. If
we had fifty likes in our live chat, we'll play
at least one round of festival Rock or Flop. Last
week we had some unique ones, to say the least.
I added some more and I shuffled around the folder,
(00:46):
so I got rid of some old ones that are
never being like just we're never touched, and I also
added some good and bad ones. So if we'll end
on those who knows, thank you guys so much. We'll
read all super chets live today. Thank you guys for
hanging out with us. Alex, how are you doing, Rowan?
How are you doing? Alex? You go first, doing well,
doing good?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm doing well. Thank you so much for asking Luke.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Alex, you're repping Spirit Bucks with a T shirt. Rowan
you're wrapping sleep Token. I am, okay, I'm wrapping heavies
because I know where I'm getting paid. There we go.
If you guys start getting paid by Bucks at sleep Token,
that actually is way cooler. By the way, I'll be honest.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Now three has a restraining order against me. I kept
calling him and calling him it is just like dude's
piss off, and he said it very aggressively British, so
you know he meant it.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I told you that was gonna happen, man, I told
you I.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Was trying to take a page that you're about to
begin with. That's what you do of very rock star
you love.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
That's what you guys say I do because you do
it now now it makes.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Sense to be fair, Alex. You also say you want
to do those things too, so we have I don't
you say you won't do not.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
I said I wanted to play the keyboard in the band.
And then you guys are like, get on the bus.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
I'm like, you're gonna get on the bus, but you're
gonna be like you're gonna get on the bus like
in the end of kpe Fear, when he's like when
he's on the bottom of the car.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
That's a good yeah, free transportation.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
True, ye, I have to get all the bus then
at that point, regardless, this is the Art News podcast
or the world of News and Rock Metal Alternative. Thanks
for rough handing for that, everybody. I hope you're all
doing well. Thank you to everyone hit around in chat
hit that like button. So everyone's saying podcast day, like, yes,
it is, it's podcast day. I didn't know that was
like a nice saying that we're gonna do now it's
podcast day.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm not what Ellie said. I'm it's podcast pay.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Okay, someone's drunk in the chat, but that's okay, pay man, Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
I'm just saying that will look great on a T
shirt podcast pay.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Oh yeah, that's something that what everyone would wear.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
For us to like, what are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Oh yes, if you.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Would buy him wear the doodcast shirt, I'm sure you guys.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, I'll make a poll later. I'm sure that'd be
a big seller. So let's just make your money. It's true.
Let's move into it because we have positive things to
talk about on this podcast in the music world. It happened.
The majority of things we're going to talk about today
are positive and I mean that too. I'm not setting
up my co host for failure like I have in
(03:26):
the past. I really meet it. This time we are
going to talk about positive stuff, I promise. So the
big one is what we found out a couple of
days ago, and I was shocked when I saw the
stats the song the biggest collaboration potentially of the year.
WHOA what happened there? Something is of Because I'm not
(03:48):
sharing my screen, I almost forgot that's why. Oop. Yeah,
so I just wanted to go right into the news
share my screen.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
It is good news today. So I give you one exactly.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah. Yeah, it's not just mere we go the biggest
collaboration potentially of the year. I don't know what's going
to be bigger than this. So that's why I can
say that End of You with Amy Lee, Poppy and
Cornela Plant went to number one on iTunes in Apple.
That is not insignificant. Something you might be saying, Well,
they go to number one on Spotify and blah blah blah. Guys,
(04:21):
it went number one on Apple and iTunes and everything else.
Not only that, it beat out Come On Be Happy,
It beat out Lady Gaga and K pop Demon Hunters.
Do you know how big of a deal that is
right now?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
That is absolutely insane.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
For anyone to say they beat Lady Gaga on a
chart is insane.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
That's like that's when you're have Ingraye on your tombstone. Yeah,
beat Lady Gaga in the polls.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
It beat Dolly Parton as well.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I mean that's not as and sorry, K.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Pop Demon Hunter is absolutely a phenomenon right now.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Hit.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I still have to watch that movie. Do not spoil it.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I will spoil it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
I've heard songs and they sound great.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
No, it's honestly, the Lady Gaga thing is surprising, but
in a great way, like that is absolutely we knew.
We knew that this collaboration was going to be absolutely
insane and epic. I did not think it was going
to be more than Lady Gaga epic, so I'm very
happy about that.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
It's also great because there was less than a two
week window from us knowing it was going to happen
to the song being delivered with the music video. They
kept a lid on it. They did the right way
to tease and promotes. It all paid off that way.
It wasn't a three month window of Ooh, I can't
wait to hear what it finally is. No, they kept
it tight and it paid off even better that way.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Oh yeah, like that it wasn't so much anticipation, you
know what I mean, because that's what we've had a
lot of lately, is like oh yeah next yearly in
a few months.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
This was perfect.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
I mean, like they did the photo first, and I
mean like that was just like when at that point
we were just speculating that could have just been like
or they're like just like a promotional thing for you know,
just their brands. But the fact that they did turn
this into a song which then released like again, like
one two weeks later, it just made people like really excited. Yeah,
(06:12):
it's amazing.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
I don't know what this is about thing the photo.
I have no idea what's going to happen here, but
I'm excited about it. That hype was awesome to start with.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
It was yeah, and also it was positive and the
vast majority of everyone was saying excitement for this and
it delivered. You know, it paid off. It showed all
the ladies. This is more about the song itself. It
showed every lady at a positive light. We were talking
a little bit before the stream and I talked about
this on the Heavies Channel as well. Jordan Fish was
(06:41):
the one they got this whole project off the ground
and introduced each all three to each other. They all
went to Amy Lee's house. I'm sure that was a
cool experience, by the way, for Poppy and Courtnela plants.
You know, walking through a goth house with all the
evanescent stuff hanging on the walls. I'm assuming it's a
goth house queen. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe she walks
around in like a black crown, like you know, in
the house. I could see that, oh, like you do.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
When the cameras are off. It's a Lee.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Does it mean.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
No?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
I'm curious, but like, if that's what you think Amy
Lee does when the cameras aren't on, what.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Jesus puts on a black crown?
Speaker 1 (07:17):
And I need this, Yes, I am the fairest one
of the Emo all that type of thing, pretending to
be the queen. Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Do you know how people have like iPads like built
into their walls at this point, Now, imagine someone configures
that to just be the evil mirror, the talking mirror
from Snow white.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Well, they have the big ones now like they're like
they look like the big old iPod and that's your
mirror and like a touch thing to now.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Too, you can just talk to your smart fridge.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yes, I need someone, Okay, so I need someone to
do that for me and just pipe in, do you
really need that sandwich? Fatty? Every time I look into it?
So that would give me.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
By the way, you're a mirror on the bridge.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Really do I need that ice cream? Do you really roll? Yes?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Are you really eating? Shinies? Left doors for the third
day in a row?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Hashtag shame Cast. That's the new podcast we're working with
right now.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
We got we always have ideas that we ought to pay.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
I know, I know, but I like many others. Now,
oh wait, what's next? Will these three ladies play this
live at a pot at a festival? Probably I've said
this before, in the next twelve months from release, it
will happen live. It'll probably happen this upcoming spring, unless
there's a festival sooner in the southern half of the
(08:41):
WARLD like Australia. Something that's gonna happen with all these
three bands. But regardless, it's gonna happen probably the spring
where all three of these ladies are gonna get on
stage and then the crowds it's just gonna explode, like
little baby explosions everywhere from heads exploding in the crowd yep.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Do you think like even do you think like even
if they're not altogether like any of them would probably
like include it in just their regular sets and they
would just kind of like sing each other's parts.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
See Poppies done that before, like her collaborations. They'll just
have like whoever she was clever with on screen, like
a kind of a back and forth.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Yeah, or like she performed band when I saw her.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, yeah, so I could see that happening.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
I think if they had some sort of like different
lineups on the tour, yeah, I'm thinking of specific instances
where like in this moment when they were touring a
starcrossed Wasteland and they have that song that they did
with Adrian Patrick of otherwise, whoever they were touring with,
they would sometimes perform that song with that person.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
They would Mooney did it with them one time.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
So I'm thinking maybe if you know, Poppies on tour
with another strong female front and band, then maybe she
could come in to do the parts. I don't know,
you know what I'm saying, back and nice like a spirit.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Bucks did that with the singer of Dying Wish when
I saw them for saus Fine, So.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, it's just with Poppy right now, so that could
be very It's like that's something that could easily do.
So there's yeah, there's a lot of potential and I
don't we don't know what's next, but I just cannot
see this as a one off. They've talked in interviews
now saying they are looking for other ideas and collaborate
because their friends now they want to do off something
else because like you can't like the full production music
(10:20):
video too and do all that. It wasn't just like
a one time live thing. So they definitely I'm just saying,
make a supergroup.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Yeah, the metal Coven, and I know that they're open
to doing something. I know they're I mean, they jived,
so that's fantastic. So any sport sort of collaboration possibilities
from here on out, I am all for it.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
I am stoked. The way this came together was awesome.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
It was so good news all around. Dying Wish is
great in the chest. Yes, they are evidence in Spearbos
to get your copy. Could be the opener. I think that, like, honestly,
that could be a tour. It really could be the
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
It would be such an awesome show.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
It would sell like that's an amphitheater show as well,
like a bigger for the bigger theaters for live nation,
like wherever it goes in the US or in Europe
and overseas and things like that too.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
So that's a show you you sacrifice your firstborn for
a ticket.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Oh though some will Hell yeah, see as long as you.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Like to give everybody, as long as you give everybody,
If you give Poppy and spirit Box equal length and
then give Evanescence a little bit more, I'm just saying
I want to see more of them at once.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
You know that it would be.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Probably happened that way. But also they would definitely do
that song every night. Then yeah, if they close it
out and have everyone freak out at the end and
buy more merch and then these three ladies would be
super bajillionaires because like they have the three ladies on
the Merge designs would be amazing. I'm surprised that's not
out yet.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yet, he worked yet, we can dream, we can hope.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Oh you know, their labels are going to make commercial
out of this.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
We call it how the bigger than we thought?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Let's do it the labels had probably the labels were
probably like that meme with the guy in the yellow suit,
like with his greedy hands behind that. You're like, hey,
they fell into an instant gold mine with this guy.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
This is.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
But there. This is their Christmas for the next ten
years right now.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
They they are just they are for whoever came up
with this collaboration. They are parading them around the office.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
That's employee, that's employee of the month right there. Whoever
came Jordan Fish? Oh yeah, you know so so The
song will be linked in the pin comment. For those
who check this out later, check out the music video.
It's really well done too. This is full production music
video as well. They went full board with everything. It's awesome.
I'm happy that good things are happening, and these ladies
(12:49):
went into number one and beat Lady Gaga. Where is it?
There we go? You deserve the little claps for there.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
No, no, no no, We're not just doing the golf clup.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Hangou clap if you want. I don't have it on
my key. Oh no, that is a VI session right there.
So thank you guys so much. This leads into our
next topic. You know, who didn't go to number one.
(13:23):
I'm not a bett man and this is why, because
I would have lost some money. Deathtones hit number five
on the Billboard two hundred on the release of Private Music.
They confirmed with Billboard and everything else, so I would
have been wrong on that.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
I am really surprised.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
I'm surprised because number one, but I'm so sorry. It's
I mean, top five is still fantastic.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
We've still it's a huge time, and they made a
ton of like releases, like they had vinal sales. It
wasn't just streaming on this. That is a huge accomplishment.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
But you know, I'm just saying I'm surprised because I'm
just saying I'm surprised because I feel like this tread
like this year, especially like mainstream media has taken taken
a lot more attention into metal. Sleep Token was number one,
Ghosts was number one, Like those are bands that are
heavily influenced by deaf Tones. People on social media, especially TikTok,
(14:24):
have really embraced Deftones, just like they've embraced those bands.
So I would have thought like that that crowd would
have been kind of just repeated itself.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Yeah, like this is just like yeah, So I had
to write down the notes like what I saw. I'd
have to look it up on Billboard, and Billboard's very
ad focused and they locked down a lot of past
information unless you pay for this thing. But I wrote
it down what had happened. So it lost to big names.
It's not like it was just like a freak thing.
It lost to K pop Depon Hunter's the sound. It's
still getting spanned on streaming. That happens. You know. It
(14:54):
also lost to a big release that week of Oh,
I can't remember the name. It was a bigger one
crap Lofty Carpenter No a Matter of Time that was
also also released the same day, and there were album
releases parties for that too. However, you know what else
it lost to that. I'm not crazy about Morgan Wallen.
(15:14):
I'm the problem. He's still he still was sitting at
number three. It's still selling that. So I don't love that.
Deftones fans showed up, but they didn't tell enough of
their friends to show up too.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
So yeah, I don't know where the country fans are.
They're not in my Necati woods, but they are big got.
There's gonna be a lot of them, honestly to keep
that album up.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Yeah, and it has to be purchases too, because they're
too dumb to figure out screaming. I apologize that was
my joke, not alex a. Rowans. Don't get mad at them,
get it there. So yeah, I see someone say that's ridiculous. Yeah, yeah,
I was kind of shocked by that too. Yeah, Morgan
Wallen really deaftnes over Morgan Wallen and well yeah, I
(15:58):
mean that's not the question here. So Private Music is
probably is one of my top ten of the years
so far, easily fair. Yeah, I'll have to sit down
to rank and figure out where it goes. That's not
so later this year because there's still stuff coming out.
I just loved it. Also, we had another heavy release
in the top five that's worth celebrating, so good stuff. Yeah.
(16:23):
So that's two good things right there, two good stories
right there. See the metal coven that I keep calling
him Poppy, Amy Lee and Courtney they got to number
one on that for Apple and iTunes and everything else.
Deftones hit number five with private music, and then we
go to actually appropriate ntv VM a performance. Well, they
actually did someone right for metal. The Aussi tribute was good.
(16:45):
They gave them the appropriate amount of time. It was nice.
Young Blood killed it again Steven Tyler and Joe Perry
and no, no, they all did great too. I know
not everyone glowingly praised it. What more did you want
a live and TV show in twenty twenty five you
could not ask.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
You who's the guy who completed it? Was the singer
of the Darkness, right, Yes?
Speaker 1 (17:08):
He did not like it at all?
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Yeah, yeah, no, exousie. It's like it's like a Roger
water is needsily taking a shot. Who cares? Why do
you think anyone cares what you have to say? If
you don't like it, fine, It's like you don't say
people are objectively wrong for liking it. That's stupid.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, a lot of people are also griping about Young Blood.
They're like, oh, who is this guy?
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Wh where did he.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Clothes on?
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Pull your pants some stupid elitist.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yes, it's a lot.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Of people, Yes, like a lot a lot of people
aren't graping.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Mazzi has pretty much sne everything he could to pass
the torch on to young Blood, and.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Young Blood's done a great job with the man himself.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
The loves the guy.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
The boomer metal elitist that did tune in for this
hated that it was a younger guy showing off his abs,
even though there was way more nudity on the VMAs
than young Blood. But that's just the end. Like there,
that's the VMA gederal.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Every year you're looking a little green in the face.
My guys, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
That's exactly what it was. It totally is. Yeah, the
boomers were going, I could have done better than that,
that type of attitude.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Hanging out.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
My theory is that, like the people who complain about
this are the type to get triggered when someone has habs.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Yes, that was an awesome performance.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
You know, a lot if people don't realize this because
of what it is and what we've known it for
the past couple of decades.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
MTV used to actually play good music quite.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
The concepts all the time too. It wasn't just occasional.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Yeah, So so this honestly felt like kind of hearkening
back to that, it was awesome. It was like, holy cow,
there's actually good music and musicianship and rock on TV.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
This is fantastic.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
The Grammys won't even do it good as good of
a job as this upcome year. They got to do
like their in Memoriam. They're gonna flash Ozzy Osbourne's image
for like ten seconds and then move on. That's it. Yeah,
that's how the Grammys are. MTV gets school marks for
giving time for something like this because it wasn't a thing,
but also one final thing too. Steven Tyler did fine.
(19:17):
It feels like he's getting back to health again after
the terrible vocal situation he was in. Yeah, so a
good good stuff.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
It was cool.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, it's worth checking out to you. MTV put the
whole thing unedited online, no ads for that unless you like,
well actually, oh no, there should not be any mitals
because it's under eight minutes. So if you just go
on YouTube check it out, let us know what you think.
I think it worked. And again, this is an audience
and generation for MTV and the VMA's that does not
focus on metal, and they gave it an appropriate amount
(19:49):
of time and it was.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
A really good medley too. They hit all the right
little areas of Ozzy for.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Crazy TV Chans stated a good, big, good, good variety
for the big hit, but also giving time to everything
as well. It was fun. It was a fun moment.
Why can't we have fun anymore?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
So it was good.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Yes. So we then go on to some more good news,
like we talk about how System of a Down is
doing great. We did talk about that last week. Europe's
getting a lot of System of a Down because they're
going overseas with an actual tour tour, not just one offs.
This got announced this week with Queens of the Stone
Age and Acid Bath. Acid Bath apparently came back at
the best time possible because everyone wants them and now
(20:29):
they're getting a sweet tour. This This is only some
of the dates as well, if I can zoom ounce,
they're going all through Europe and UK. So next year,
if Europe and UK was missing out on it, they're
definitely gonna get System of Down. Okay, So OBS is
not going to play nice on something like this. Come on,
let's have to trust me on the dates. I'll read
them off to you. They go to France, they go
(20:50):
to Italy, Germany, Sweden, all throughout Germany again, UK again, Poland.
There's a lot of different places. I would totally love
to go to this tour if I had the money.
Kind of like the other system of down ships.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
We got to make some calls. We got to inherit
a rich great uncle.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
I'm just saying, I'm going I said earlier podcast, pay shirt,
make it.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Happen enough to make that trip.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Chat will make it happen.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
That's a lot of t shirts, a lot of shirts
we had.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
We we may we're looking at our customers right now.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Yes, there's a currently fifty eight of you in the chat.
If we can get that to double in the next
couple of minutes, and then everyone buys one shirts and
then gives a super chat of a significant amount, and
then it gets your family to also buy shirts. We
might have a chance for one of us to get
the most basic coach fort five layover flights overseas.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Or maybe yes, or maybe in our next heavies that
we one of it so happens to be wearing the shirt.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
You know, that's a lot of we don't work like
I don't wear commission for heavies or anything like that.
So no matter how many heavies I sell or we sell,
it doesn't matter. So that next heavy sponsorship had better
be huge if we want something like this to happen
massive woof. So why don't they send the poor system
of down shows because we can't afford the tickets? Lea,
(22:15):
Why don't they always send the poor eye? No, I
don't have any money to share at the moment we
were joking, we do not expect that's what it takes. Fine,
we'll do this cheap host jet to that's the equivalent
of a greyhound bus but a flight. So there we go.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
They said we'll get there in five days.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah, our seven day vacation, five of it on the road,
crammed up together. We're going to system of it down.
So that being said, we also have some good news
because we got word of more bands leaving Spotify, which
is awesome. Well, guess what working out for? Pretty good
for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard because they put
all their albums now after leaving Spotify on band camp. Now,
(23:02):
a lot of you might be thinking, well, yeah, but
if it's pay what she wants for each album, right, Yeah,
they have a lot of albums and if they only
sell each album for two dollars apiece. That is so
much more than roughly a thousand streams of each album
in full.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
I was thinking about that math this morning. I don't
know why I woke up and that was the first
thing that popped into my head.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I was like, holy cow, if we just started.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Doing albums and I would just mean bands started doing
albums and just self releasing as digital downloads for like
a couple bucks, holy cow, that would be so much
more beneficial to the band and the consumer because you
just own it.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Well, I mean, like that's what we did back when
iTunes first was a thing. Like you've been on the site,
you bought a song.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
I will say this, a lot of that money goes
to the label and the deep and all that stuff.
King Gizzard is in a better spot because they can
just release their music that way and there are three Yeah,
they're all they make, and that's fine. A lot of
bands are can more comfortably do that as well. I
get that it's not going to be able for every
bed to do it, but this set's a great precedent
(24:11):
that shows it's possible and that bands don't have to
rely on Spotify. If they have their name out there
enough already. Again, if it's pay what she wants, a
lot of people will be more jetous. Okay, I'll give
you five dollars for it.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
But even by the way, like good also by the way,
you gotta like get let's not underestimate just like you know,
how much respect and like appreciation some people have for
these bands. I remember I think it was Radioheads in
Rainbows that they also did a pay what you want
type model, and someone in the band said that they
made way more money than they usually do. Yes, so
(24:44):
I have to assume that, like there's like some there's
like some white like whales, like when it comes to
fans who will dump a bunch of mike just because
they love the band that much, just like really want
to show their appreciation.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
During pandemic, the label that does has explode in the
sky on them. The post rock band, the dozen instrumental stuff,
they did pay what you can like during pandemic, just
to get stuff out there. They did it for every album,
like they did. Every month was a different album. They
sold a lot of album copies for albums that were
like almost twenty years old at that point, but they
had were able to do it and it works. Again,
(25:19):
you can't say I don't have two dollars to spend
if you were already spending ten dollars on a Spotify
subscription or whatever it is. It's more than that now,
by the way, just drop off Spotify. Title is so
much better. It's so much better, and the payouts are
better for every artist that's besides the point two dollars
to own the album and they get the full amounts.
And it chose this like a've shown purchased album like
(25:42):
to qualify for more than streams and stuff. That's way better.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Oh yeah, so that's super rad.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
I hope more bands that are capable of doing this
do it soon and promote it. Well. I don't like
I'm trying to think of a good comparison. I love Baroness. Okay,
Like if Baroness just said screw it all our albums
around band camp also pay what you want, A lot
of people would do it. A lot. Oh I would
m just to own every album, all the old EPs
and stuff like that too. They would do it. There's
(26:13):
like bands that have diehard fans too would promote it
and share the news. You know.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
So yeah, well.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Cool, to hold out so long as they did because
and they were tiled legal issues and stuff too. But
that's the different reason. Go ahead else.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Second to owning a physical copy of an album, because
you guys know already, I'm a die hard for like CDs.
I love having a CD. I just like pop in
it in my in my car or in my you know,
little Victrola stereo.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
I like having a physical copy. I like the book.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
With the lyrics, and I love having a physical thing.
But second best to that would literally just owning owning
the download versus all I don't have Wi Fi or
oh I can't stream, it's like.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Just just something. Just think that's just something that, like you,
you actually own and can't be taken away from you
overnight if enough people don't.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Want it to exactly. And that happens on streaming, not
just for music either. You'll see, Oh I have this
movie on streaming. Oh they took it away, but I
paid for it to download from YouTube. It doesn't matter
it's taken away by Oh okay.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
No, that's like that's honest. That's just been liked like
my kind of like my thing throughout all life, kind
of like for every media. If you like it enough,
like you get and you can get a physical copy.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Go for it. I agree.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
It's one thing I've been really vibing on lately because
we're all kind of starting to realize at the same
time that when we stream things, whether it be music
or movies or shows.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
We don't own them.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Even if you buy a movie to stream on Amazon,
you don't own it. You can't download it and watch
your libe you want. You're reliant on your Amazon account
and Wi Fi. So I've been really thinking about that
lately for some reason.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
So I've been buying some.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Kids even like even when you have a download, it's
still muddy. If like if anyone else is a gamer here,
there is like some games that were like completely shut down.
So even if you paid for the game when it
was active, like the servers are down, you literally cannot
play the game anymore. There's nothing and some and some
of these games don't even have physical copies, so these
(28:19):
games are literally impossible to play.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yep, And I think about that too, Like we all travel,
if you go off on a flight it's a long flight, Well,
my phone's a brick pretty much because I can't listen
to any music. Unless I have something to download it all.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Oh yeah, like region locked stuff so stupid. Well that's
why I have like a download the stuff. Even in
this scenario, you can go download those MP three's to
your phone and then voila, you still have stuff while
you're in the air.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, second best to physical media. I dig it.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
King Gizzard's figured it out. So I hope everyone like
bought a two dollars album of one of these albums.
They got a lot of variety too. You can't say
you can't find something you don't like because it's King Gizzard.
They do everything. Literally, I did everything.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Since I got the since I got the vinyl player,
I've been getting more into physical media. Like I used
to buy CDs, but not too much because I mean,
like I kind of grew up with streaming being the norm.
But like, like I picked up some more vinyls, like
this weekend and literally just earlier today, I pre ordered
Van Nova's newest album on vinyl. That by the way, Chad,
(29:24):
that album is amazing. We didn't get to really talk
about it because it was kind of like a bit
of a shadow drop, but that album is amazing. Seriously,
check that out too.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Speaking of vinyl news or was going to segue and
bounce around a little bit. I got an email today, Alex,
are gonna feel old now because I felt old Rowan,
this was before you were born. Nah, maybe not, I
don't know. A Perfect Circles Murderome will be released on
a special edition twenty five year anniversary vinyl because it's
(29:53):
twenty five years since A Perfect Circle's debut came out.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Is it is a older than me? Per A Perfect
Circle is older than me?
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I sall at the point is on the screen right now.
That's the vinyl from like the old booklets and stuff.
They turned it into that that looks so cool. It's
a fancy looking vinyl and they'll have the one hundred
and eighty gram versions as well. Prior is going out
right now. It delivers later in September. But yeah, twenty
fifth anniversary, twenty five years of A Perfect Circle.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
As back when, sorry go ahead, I was definitely not
listening to A Perfect Circle twenty.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Five years ago.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
The album looks scared.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
It's not in my playlist, wasn't mine?
Speaker 3 (30:40):
So I love I love it when the vinyls like
have like some design to them that when you spin them.
They they animate the image.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
And that's what this is. I can already tell Yeah,
the guys are moving atle bit like. Yeah, so that's
how it always goes for that too. So if you're interested,
when's thirteen step Turney twenty five because it came out
in two thousand.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
And three, mass Well, that's my favorite.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
That's my favorite of their s too, for sure. That
being said, I'm glad little additions like this come out
as well. We'll hear more from a Perfect Circle hopefully,
because they did say they won't be working on stuff
sooner than later, Billy Howard Ellaman or James Keenan. We
then go back in order from our news stories to
the latest NPR Tidy Desk session. Did anyone see what
dropped this week?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
It was fun.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
We had our first crowd surfing at a Tiny Desk concert.
This is also one of the few times they actually
show like the behind the scenes and like the back
side or from the back of the Tidy Desk concert performance,
because it's never that big. It gets pretty crammed on there.
Because this is kind of how this is even zoomed
farther back than it normally is. They crammed a lot
(31:48):
of people into the NPR Tiny Desk Sessions for a
Turn Style the full sixteen minute concert on NPR's website
right now, just or a channel on YouTube just dropped today.
It's a blast. It sounds great. So I would love
to show the place so much fun. I would love
to show and play for you, but my site will
get stuck down immediately. Also, we really need to support
(32:09):
NPR right now, really, so yeah, go check it out.
It's fun. I mean, they have more members, they have
a horn section, they have a piano player. They're doing
fun stuff. There's crowdsurfing at a tidy desk concert. I
still can't get over that that they find a way
to make that work without someone getting hurt. They did
it Turnstiles on tour right now. They're a love in life.
(32:32):
They're doing a lot of other fun things. So again,
we had a lot of good stuff. There's good stuff
to talk about. See, it's not always negativity on this
podcast that everyone usually associates it with.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
See, I mean, life is all about balance. So I
don't know, but this week is fantastic.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Yeah, we're catching up right now. That's exactly what it is.
We're trying to catch up. Okay, So now for the
metal wholesome moments, the most wholesome the moment we've had
in quite a while. Tom Area and his wife renewed
their valves and it was Gary Holt that officiated. That's
the most metal and wholesome thing I've heard in quite
(33:15):
a while.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
There's girls got the little preacher collar and then army shorts.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
That's exoduses and slayers. Gary Holt in oh what's that called?
As I'm want to say, a seven eleven priest like
he just got out of seven eleven with his Camos
shorts and said, oh, yeah, I'm doing a wedding and.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Then puts that all this is now, this is the
tea move priest.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
I don't know. That's still I feel like he's a
little bit more than team I get what you're going for,
though he's just standing outside waiting for everything. Quote. Yesterday,
I had the great honor of having been asked to
renew the valves from my dear friends Tom and Sandra. Ariya, Yes,
I am ordained. He had to make sure that was clear.
What a great day in the great state of Texas
and our BFF and I made the trip for those
(34:00):
most special occasions. Much love to all Slayer is about
to do you think.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
I was about to say, do you think when he
was renewing the vows, do you think he said, tom Ariah,
do you take this woman to be bonded by blood?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Maybe? But I feel like he'd be a little more
smooth with the puns somehow, I'm not sure. Till death
and just picture till death and postmortem? Do your parts
there you go?
Speaker 3 (34:33):
That's or it or it's just the worst. It's not
subtle whatsoever. It's like. And do you take this man
to be your piranha?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Are you just screams?
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Not even glever at all?
Speaker 2 (34:47):
What I'm picturing. I'm just picturing him.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
His kids and his kids are there going oh dad,
please please no?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Oh yeah, you're a photographer. You're a videographer.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
I'm so embarrassed. Again. Oh see, I like it. I
was hoping for more photos. I don't think he posted
any other ones on here, but I know they exist.
So what were those slay alyrics?
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Little bit? Well?
Speaker 1 (35:18):
You know what, I think this is nice. Also, he
has his keychain, like his keys hanging off his shorts.
He's got his you know he is dressed just enough
for the occasion, just enough so, and he's also wearing
his like slayer pass almost like a photo pass around
his neck, like he had to get a photo passed.
(35:39):
I'm in the wedding, Yeah, no, I'm working access all access.
Oh yes, those are the Those aren't that strung of
sunglasses either? I don't know, because like you could see
right through him too. Those aren't the most protective sir?
Do you take this woman to be bond blood?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
No?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
That is no. Come on, now, come on, don't take
my joke. Come on, all of a sudd on tom
screens raining blood carry King comes sprinting in with his
guitar and just starts just reading.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Do do Do do? Doesn't sort sorry, he displays the
low Eh.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
So many nice little moments that we have. So as
we got through a lot of the stuff, I want
to bounce back to one more thing about our news
for these ladies that I forgot to talk about some
of the comments to say, well, didn't get to number
one on Spotify, it didn't get to number one on this,
It didn't get to number one on that. The YouTube
video did really well, and I have this up here. Okay,
(36:37):
my argument for this because I saw the comments. I
wrote it down on my nose I forgot to address
in the beginning for these three poppy Emily Cortneyla Plant.
If you weren't impressed by the success of this so far,
what would it take for you to be impressed at
this point? That's my question to everyone out there, you know, like,
what else could they do? Then?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Yeah, guys, we're number one, one on one on the
other major streaming platform. Let's take this as a win.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yeah, heang, it's at two point nine million views right now?
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Oh is that all in less than a week? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Awesome, in six days two point nine million views.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
That is, it'll.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Probably break three by tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Yeah, oh yeah, but hater's gonna hate there. They don't care.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Nothing is ever good enough.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Aby Lee's overrated. But that's that's in the comments too.
It's like, okay, well they obviously totally so, so it's working.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
There's probably some jerkwuad who's never grown out of the eighties.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
It's the guy that also play because it's always the
same guy exactly.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
It's the same vibe, same guy, same basement, Yes, and
like the same week too.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Nothing but like crap on streaming right now. Let me
turn on the VMAs to see what they do For Ozzie.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
It's the same cherry asht mother coming downstairs with his
PBNJ with the crust cut.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Off seem I'm like that hippie in my mind where
I'm like, you know what, haters are going to hate.
You just have to look the other way because there
is no pleasing them. We know this is absolutely monumental
because we these three together and it beating Lady Gaga.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
You don't need to say anything else that's.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Beating Lady Gaga's that's a that's a freaking accomplishment if
I've ever heard.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah, well there we go. I have the music video
just to screenshot of the three ladies at the end
right now, like I'll just spoil it for you. It's
my turn for song of the week. I did pick
this for Song of the Week because there's nothing bigger.
It paid off well, and Alex can find out where
I live so I know I know how to take
care of myself and make sure my family is not
(38:47):
in jeopardy. If I didn't pick this, you, Alex is just.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
You're crawling on your wall.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Beyond you.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
You just show up right there in your dormmake like
Nightcrawler just poof in yes, funny, like I can't wait.
I know that's Genie, but I think of Nightcrawler the
same way poof footy.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Yeah, bam, that's the sound I crawl it mixed bemph.
So guys, what else you want? I would have played
for you right now if YouTube wouldn't have a total
conniption and shut this stream down. But yeah, it's great,
it's fun. I don't know what else you want. And
I'm looking at the numbers right now because she's h
Alex said it two point nine million, and that's probably
not updated because it doesn't show us the live numbers.
(39:33):
Number six on music trending days after it got released,
so YouTube trending as well. That's way harder to do
YouTube trending because it's not mister Beast or Smash or whatever,
you know. So if this gets trending, because it was
trending overall as well when it got released, not just
on music trending, that's extremely difficult.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
Ugh.
Speaker 4 (39:56):
So this is you know, some people you know are like, oh,
it's just an okay song or whatever. This was a
really good songs production was really well done. And if
this is any sort of light at the end of
the tunnel, that is another possible calamor I'm super down
whatever they want to do in the future. This is
just a little glimmer of the possibilities.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
You said it yourself, Luke earlier. But like if they decide, hey,
let's just form a supergroup and they call themselves Coven
or something, I am all for that.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Yeah, just do Covet Yeah, I want Yeah, it's a
badass name, it is, and like this, this is the
perfect group for that name too. Let's be honest. Okay,
that art oh yeah, easily the album artwork for that,
like the cover of that is going to be amazing
as well. If they call it coven so the merch, yeah,
coven merch, come on, that'd be like a uniform at
(40:48):
that point.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
Covin is just a badass name for a metal band too.
It's like, oh, yeah, we're seeing coven to.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Now, you guys see like black metal band.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
I think it works for these ladies though. Oh that
could take it for a moment metal band you wanted
to do black metal? No one's gonna stop them, so.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
No it's not.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
And Courtney go to death growls. It's not out of
the roma possibility.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
It's not. But I like what's going on here.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
I think it's appropriate and also proves that I have
a degree in marketing and I actually know how to
use it. This is another idea that should get out somewhere.
Jordan Fish, I'm not asking for a lot of royalties.
I do want something, though, please.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I mean, I just call your lawyer after this and
just patent it, and then when they want to use
the name, then you sell it back to them. That's
how we make some money.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
Oh, I'd approach them of it. It's like, hey, I
thought of this name for it, you could have it
for this amow you know. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:42):
See, I think I'm just greedy. I want all three
of them separate. I don't want them to just form
a supergroup. I would love to see it a little bit,
but I want all of the spear Box, all of
the Poppy and all of the Evanescence.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I'm greedy. I need all three.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Well, we get we will think about it. They'll have
their own things, but we'll also have like our own
like Girl Emerson Lake Palmer Ladies.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Just never sleep. Do all four projects. It'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
You know, I just thought I think you'll both like
this there.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Musicians are not used to sleeping anyway.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
On the road badly. But yeah, so you guys remember
the Cessintana with a perfect circle prim Supposifer and the
all three bands on stage and all collaborate at the end.
Here you go spirit Box and U be Essence and
Poppy and her group just all on stage the entire night,
all three feet.
Speaker 4 (42:28):
Yeah, that's perfect done. Now we get all three and
the collaboration.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
I'm down.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Yeah, and just.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Imagine who they bring Eleana as our openers, I like,
now Chelsea Wolf, or they bring like Bratt. We just
get like a full on girl front in like festival.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Oh no, no, no, no no, naturally there's a death There's
a death core band called Bratt and their singer.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
Is like this is like this woman who jumps around
like a cheerleader and she does like this guitar leg trip.
That is freaking awesome. Yeah, okay, then they're fun.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
I will. I'm just saying sets in Town. I didn't
have an opener. It was just those three. I don't
know who the opener would be. I don't think they
would want an opener. That because it would just be
two and a half hours. You would want an opener.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
You Okay, the woman with a bass guitar to bass
have to go on like an hour before anyone else starts,
so that they don't try and compare me to them,
because I would not.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
He bas is singing and bass and between each songs,
she'll tell one dad joke between each song and that'll
be the set.
Speaker 4 (43:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Yeah, I don't want to.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
I don't want to detract from all of the major
talent on the tour. So of course I'm a great option.
Dad jokes, bass and singing.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
That's how you get on the bus, That's how you
do it. Yeah, now I figure out the plan.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
So I mean Gillis can open for our country for
a country show.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
I guess we can have you.
Speaker 2 (43:57):
On, both of you. If Corey Feldman can do anything,
I can do this.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Corey Felder can dance kind of yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
I can dance like Corn, dance like Cory Feln.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
Yes you can, that is absolutely true. You totally can.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
Can you shred like hell?
Speaker 1 (44:14):
Yeah? I mean yes, she can't. I have not seen
her play guitar. She can shred like Corey Feldon. Yes,
that is also true. Absolutely, you guys haven't seen.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
You shred your bass.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
Yes, you guys have not seen mister Felden live. I have. Okay,
you have not witnessed the life changing event yet.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
All Right, it's like it's like I am a different
man now.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
That's exactly what it is. That's exactly what it does.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Well, I'll take it vicariously through you.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
Okay. All I'm saying is he went viral at riot
Fest two years ago. He's going to come back to
ryde Fest Sunday and guess.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
I got the moves like film and stop giving new idea.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Oh like felt then?
Speaker 3 (45:03):
Oh like Feltman.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
Everyone just feels bad all of a sudden. All right,
that was the song of the week. I think it's
a fitting choice. Last week, Rowan chose the alb Versus
album in tribute to his father and his father's birthday.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
The results, oh yeah, by the way, thanks for that chat.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Yes, the results are in four point four thousand votes.
Guns and Roses one hand by a two thirds ratio,
sixty seven percent over Van Halen's.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
I showed him this and he was very surprised.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
Because I thought it'd be closer to be honest.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
Yeah, I think that Appetite just kind of spans multiple genres.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
You know.
Speaker 4 (45:46):
It appeals to the punk crowd, it appeals to the
rock crowd, it appeals to the metal crowd, where I
think Van Halen is a little more rock, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
Also, I feel like, yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, so more fans.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Yeah. By the way, Like this is just me in general,
but like these two hounds specifically, I feel like Appetite
is the is the is the one I can listen
to as an album more and then eighty four I
just go back to like the big hits.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
I get that argument. I don't know. I'm kind of
back and forth on that for both, because think nineteen
eighty four is one I can listen to you all
the way through that and the debut Guns n' Roses,
Appetite for Destruction is the what I go through. But
that's it. I don't know. I'm kind of back and
forth on my choice for this one. I'm not saying
this is a bad choice that it won by two thirds.
I'm just saying I thought i'd be a little bit closer. Yeah,
(46:34):
So I didn't Good comments, good engagement on this.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
By the way, chat Thanks again for wishing my dad
happy birthday.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Men a lot, so thank you chat for having a
little bit of manners last week. It was much appreciated. Yeah,
and this is something I'm not going to pull up
because it's the last thing I saved. I'm not going
to show. Okay, you know what, I'll show the safe
image while I pull this up. So you guys know
how last week something terrible happened at the system of
(47:02):
a down show in New York. You guys remember that.
Just say no, so that way we don't have to
talk about it anymore. That actually might be a better idea.
There we go. Well, they went up to Canada and
like KED had a bit of a redo, you know,
like they're nothing bad's gonna happen in Canada, right, They're
too nice, they're too clean, they're too fun. They respect
(47:25):
everything up there, so nothing bad can possibly happen with that.
Something happened up there As I try to find the
safe for work image, Yeah, okay, I found it. Turns
out someone went number two right in the middle of
the hour in Canada during the system of a downshow
(47:45):
and people had to walk around it. Yeah, how did
she get.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
Away with that?
Speaker 1 (47:53):
There? Were photos I will not be showing. No, this
is the final thing before we move on. Last week,
I gave you sixty seconds to get it out of
your system, to get even less this week. The reason
I bring this up, why is it the system of
a down shows? I don't get it. This is not
normal behavior for any concert. But why does it keep happening?
System of down shows? And what's gonna happen when they
(48:15):
go to Europe?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
I'm thinking like a like an actual sacrifice, like human sacrifice.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
I don't know why. I don't know why it's encouraging
this such vagrant behavior. I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (48:29):
Maybe it's because they tour so seldom and they do
these one offs so seldom, so I think what we
need from because they don't come around often enough.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
This is a once a lifetime thing and I have
to go to the bathroom. But I can't miss this opportunity. Okay, now, God, yeah,
that ends?
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Okay, four or more that might whoever did this.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
From the last thing, No, I was gonna say this
guy at least he had to go to the bath guy.
We don't know who it was, guy or girl, whatever,
but I at least understand an emergency situation. I at
least get that. I'm just confusing's happening at the system
of a down shows.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
I think my theory has some validity.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Yeah, you're right, I can't miss it. My favorite songs
coming up. But the border party line was really long.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
It's like it's like it's like you go to a
movie and it's like this really awesome climactic scene.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
It's like someone just said the song Bounce Bounce, Poco Poga,
and everyone's jumping up and down and the guy has
to go to the bathroom. Oh no, this is the worst.
Oh I thought it was funny, now that I thought
that one was clever. All right, there we go, moving on.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
I need the tape worm, Jesus tape worm.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
Oh you know. We now go on to this week's
album versus album, And I wanted to do something a
little bit different because we talked to've done metal and
rock before. I wanted to go more in the alternative realm,
just a little and more electronic rock, especially from the
two thousands. So I'm gonna flash it on screen right
now so that way you can see which ones I'm
asking everybody for. Two thousands, Alt rock, the big Hitters,
(50:12):
The Killers, Hot Fuss versus Muse, Black Holes in Revelation.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
I think this is a fair fight. We haven't talked
about these bands in quite a bit. This is like
peak the good stuff from the two thousands of that era.
One was two thousand and three or four, one was
two thousand and six, which two thousands alt rock album?
Which you prefer? I'm gonna type it out and put
it in the chat for the rest of the stream. Alex,
do you well? Go for you first? Do you have
a preference?
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Yeah, The Killers for sure, The.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
Killers for sure. Any reason why?
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (50:42):
I mean, well I like that album Muse, I mean
Knights of Sedoniusia Donia, Yeah, whatever, however you pronounce it.
It's that's a really fun song. But the Killers has
more like Mister Brightside. Somebody told me those are like
really long standing favorites of mine from you know then,
(51:02):
I suppose, and they still hold out today.
Speaker 1 (51:05):
Okay, Rowan, how about you?
Speaker 3 (51:08):
No, Yeah, same thing. Hot Fuzz definitely wins out. It's
just like it's just too nostalgic for me. I sure,
like I've been listening to like that album or just
like hearing the songs of that since that really came
out like even when I was growing up.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Gotcha, Yeah, very fair. It's by a hair for me,
But I am the descent on this one. I would say,
muse black Holes and Revelations just by a hair, because
this is what mus does best. For some of those
songs like super Massive, black Hole, Knights of Sedonia, this
was views when they became like a legit, big big
deal in the States after becoming big in Europe. No
(51:44):
credit taken away from the Killers though as far as
debut albums go, that is a debut and a half
in a time where that style was not really that
big of a thing and they just did whatever they
wanted and they made it work brilliantly. So I'm just
barely on the music both as they are that I
kind of wanted to put those two together, the slight
electronic rock that all rock from that time. I think
that's a good fit. That pole is going to stay
(52:06):
open in chat. If you're listening to this on the
replay or on podcast form, then link will be in
the community post and I'll pin it to the pin
comment on YouTube as well. It'll be in the podcast
feed as well. If you just check the notes if
you want to vote on that. I'm curious to see
how this one goes. I don't know if it'll be
like because the past polls we've done, we've had, like,
there's not been many close.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Votes, you know, prising for some of them for sure.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
Yeah, and these are thousands of votes on each pole.
So I'm curious about this one to see if it's
a little more even. Not it doesn't have to be
a lot, but just more even than what we've had before.
So that being said, row what are you frozen? I'm
hoping he's frozen, that he didn't just get so tired
that he just completely solved out.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
I think we're bored, Rowin.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
I was just talking about musing the killers. I didn't
think it was that bad of a choice.
Speaker 2 (52:57):
Yikes.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
All right, well now that we're oh and he's wearing
the sleep token shirt, get it jeep? Well that goes on,
Thank you guys. Oh oh, there we go. Let's see
if I can do this way. There we go, So
we'll wait for him to come back. Alex, you can
just take on the role of yourself and Rowan for
(53:22):
the moment. You love evanescence and tool there you go,
you love both. Okay, sleep the sleeve token, there you go.
I'm gonna leave that pull up. We're gonna go through
the super chats until see if we'll do that while
Rowan gets back. How fitting? Well yeah, I know. First
it was Alex, Now it's Roan. Alix didn't drop out
for me. Now, okay, last week, last week, that's right,
(53:45):
last week. Okay, okay, not that big of a deal.
He'll be back. So we're gonna go through some super
chats and then do some rounds of festival Rocker Flop.
We have forty six likes. If four more people can
hit that like button, please please hit it right now
so that we can get another round going. We do
have some super chats though, are first from Ellie Yeat.
This weekend is going to be stacked with new releases,
(54:06):
twenty one pilots, Lord Ashore, Between the Barrier to Me,
even freaking Spinal Tap. I'm looking forward to that movie,
and that's just rock and metal. No way we'll be
able to keep up, I agree, very nice. Also from
Ellie Yeats podcast, Pay the Shame Cast That mocked boy?
Is that a mouthful woof? That won't even that barely
(54:30):
makes sense to us, let alone people in public, that
you wear that on a sheer shirt.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
For it's not gonna fit on a T shirt very nicely.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
Yeah, it won't. It just looks like someone like English
as a third language and like trying to make it work.
So from Lone Wolf, yeap uh Leonova hit is the
probably my album the year fighting Callous Dowboys album. I
can't decide yet. I was about to recommend it before
you mentioned it. Rowan mentioned that one, and also that
Callous Dowboys album was fun, it was creative too. I
(54:59):
haven't heard the v know about one day though, or
ya Nobia I mispronounced everything. Also from Lone Wolf, you
excited for the new Unprocessed album on Halloween. Halloween has
a lot of albums coming out, Avatar's album Left that happens,
Avatar's album comes out, Trevium has an ep on process
has one that comes out, so that's pretty cool. And
also from Lone Wolf that just came in. Thought on
(55:21):
the new bad Omens single so far I saw got dropped.
I have not heard it yet, alex of you the
brand new one. Yes, it's very soft.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
I suppose I should say.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
It's more of the batty core esque get the groove on, Yeah, gotchakay.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
If it's yeah that that, Yes, that Bad.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
You knew exactly what I was talking about for that.
Speaker 4 (55:41):
For Bad, it's right in there. And then the single
before that. I don't know if we're talking about the
most recent singles plural the single before this most recent
one today also same very baddy core, very okay.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
I only heard the first one. I've not heard the
one that drops today. So thank you guys so much.
While you're doing that and waiting for Rowan, we should
have some tours that got announced. Do you have anything
you'd like to share with us on tours that got
announced this past week?
Speaker 4 (56:05):
Yeah, we already talked about the system of a down one.
That one's gonna be super rad. That's very exciting. We
already talked enough about that. We already covered dates and
cities and stuff. Twisted Sister just announced a fiftieth anniversary
world tour.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
Okay, which I mean that's kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (56:20):
I mean throwing it way back to hair metal and
them getting back together for a fiftieth anniversary world tour.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
That's super fun.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
D Snyder still knows how to perform and like put
her that energy.
Speaker 2 (56:29):
Too, So he does.
Speaker 4 (56:31):
I had a really good conversation with him just a
couple of years ago, and he is very very he's older.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
We know that he's been around since the eighties.
Speaker 4 (56:38):
This is their fiftieth anniversary tour, but the dude can
still rock super hard.
Speaker 1 (56:43):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (56:44):
Alter Bridge just announced a twenty twenty six US tour
and they dropped a new single.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
As well, We've Got Chiyotos.
Speaker 4 (56:51):
They just announced a twenty twenty five Fall for Fall
twenty twenty five yeah, leg of their twentieth anniversary tour.
Lady Gaga announced more Mayhem Ball Tour dates They're going
to extend into twenty twenty six for North America. That's
going to be awesome. Lady Gaga is way more metal
than a lot of metal bands.
Speaker 1 (57:10):
For sure. There's a lot more guitars and actual performing
than you'd ever give credit when you think Lady Gaga.
Speaker 4 (57:16):
So yeah, and solid actual talent, So that one is
super fun. Sonic Temple twenty twenty six expanded their lineup.
We've got Electric call Boy, we came as Romans, The
Plot in You and more. Announced recently, If you haven't
end there live it's so awesome. They're fun and they're
so fun. We've got a new album called dead Beat
from Tame and Paula, and so there's the Deadbeat US
(57:37):
tour in support of the LP kicking off on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
Very nice. That's their first album quite a while if
I'm correct too for Tame and Paula.
Speaker 2 (57:44):
I think it's been like five years.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Yeah, so yeah, all the all rock fans that Tam
and Pila style, that's definitely gonna be up your ally
as well. So that being said, we got a message
from Rowan Sanda. His internet crapped out. That's why he's
trying to get it back right now. So it happens.
Row if you can hear this, to see this, we're
to keep going. If you can't get on, great, If not,
don't worry about it. Just let us know. I think
in the meantime, since we hit fifty likes and we
(58:08):
have at least one festival to book. Oh we got
one more from Loan World too. So if you'll get
a a super chat as well, just because you got
into the last time, we'll just do it for fun.
Spector gave me health vibes. If you are familiar spector. Yeah, okay,
so you know the man health bad Omens. Yeah, yeah, okay, I'm.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
Familiar with Health. Yeah, I think I can see that.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
That's a fair comparison to.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
So yeah that one that drives.
Speaker 1 (58:31):
Yes, so we got three festivals to book? Are you
ready for it?
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (58:36):
Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
I don't know if I am or not because a
lot of weird things I've added in there might get
a little weird.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
See Oh why'd you remind me?
Speaker 1 (58:43):
Oh? I had to do it the right way since
there's only two people. What the world's going on with
the this now? It's so like with him gone, it's
super wonky for OBS and stuff. Let me see if
I can fix this somehow real quick, guys, I feel
like I can. We'll do this right now again. Obs
(59:04):
is so finicky, like if something drops off of chat
or like anything while you're live, it messes up everything
for discord and stuff like that as well. Kin festival
starting soon. I'm on OBS right, No, what.
Speaker 2 (59:19):
If I open a second camera angle of myself?
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Maybe you know what? I am very narrow over here? Whatever,
just keep it like this, this is terrible formatting. What
I'll make it work? And like if you see it
on screen right now, Alex, what I'm doing, I'll see
it in a second. Like on the YouTube thing. This
is where I am obs has some random calling to
fill space quick, have someone random calling. Oh yeah, that'll
be a good idea, someone random.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
Oh this is not Do you want to be a millionaire?
What the hell's that show called? We cannot phone a
friends a millionaire?
Speaker 4 (59:52):
That's the one, Luke, Is there a millionaire in the house?
Speaker 1 (59:59):
Now? Coming go on?
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Hey, VC, please be my friend.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
I mean, I mean, if I wanted a new friend
a millionaire, you can do a lot worse. So I'll
tell you what.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Yes see, I can see you.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Yeah, it's probably there is perfect just in time. Literally,
I was about to recab it on OBS. I cannot y.
So there we go, There we go. I can't hear you,
cannot hear, cannot hear you. I think you're on the
(01:00:35):
wrong mic.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Okay, give me one check you're fine.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
We're gonna start festival rocker Flop. We're gonna do ours
first because we are going through time while you get
your mic set up. It's it's like drive through setup,
Like I'll take a number five.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Now, yes, Alice, can you hear?
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
Okay, there's an terrible delay my end, though, I don't
know if it's all of us.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
Yeah, I am very sorry about that. There was a
little I checked my internet. It was fine. Okay, this
is weird. I don't know if anyone has ever experienced this.
I think my computer forced me to update it because like,
not only did it just disconnect from my WiFi, it
did not recognize any Wi Fi.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Fuck. Sorry, it's okay, wait for it to come back
a little bit, just give it a second seat. It
speeds back up.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
I still have albums.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
I know you do. We'll do we'll do albums, but
we're gonna be like one round of festal rock and flop,
just their first one, okay, while to catch it back up?
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Yeah, oh wait.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
It might be. It might be back now.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Count to three, one, two, three.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
It's better. It's it looks better on my feed, Alex,
how about.
Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
You now, But if it's on the front end, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
Okay, we'll see how this goes. Professional Rocker Flop Our
first one. We picked bands randomly out of a folder
and hope for the best. This is a four band
festival in the middle of nowhere. I don't know where
we're doing this one this week. This is ours for
hitting the light goal. I configured some unique things for this,
like going back and forth Windows. You're not alone rolling.
(01:02:19):
This happened to Beyeah a lot of people. It's Windows
updates and went out recently. Alrighty, here we go. Band
number one for hour festival that will name after Sophie Powers.
Do you guys remember who Sophie Powers is.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
That's fun.
Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
I like that she was at Warped Tour. She went
on American Idol and trolled the crap out of the
show and the judges and it was really funny. So
number two, yeah, oh I had a pet. This would
named George. That's the only one I could. That's only
some of the lyrics like the only funny too without
a getting real foul number today not this time? Number
(01:02:58):
two Ghost.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Oh we know your wife's going.
Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
Sophie Power is opening for Ghost. I don't know. I'm set, guys,
this is already a show I'm going to.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
I'm still stoked.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Okay, okay, forever the saying unfamiliar. I'll tag a link
and the pin comment. All I gotta do is Google
Sophie Powers. We look at that on YouTube, you'll see
the American idol trolling tryout. She has music videos, she's
a label. It's so good, it's so well done. Number
three front Door, five finger death punch doesn't exactly fit
(01:03:33):
the vibe. Also, and that you can't touch this shirt,
Yes that's a real photo. And number four Jelly Roll
also all over the place.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
Those last two definitely killed it. Ghost is if I'm
just getting my thoughts out of now, Ghosts is definitely
the only one I really care about the other. I
don't know Sophie either. Sure I care for Jelly Roll,
I do not care. I figure to have punch. I'm
at this one.
Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
I'm going this is gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
I'll go, but I'm going for the opener of the closer,
which means someone have a lot of free time halfway
through a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Oh Coretcha is definitely gonna drag you, and Ghost is involved.
Doesn't even matter who else it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Is, she'll go too. She'll go. Also, Ghost is always
going to be like a big go for me. Sophie
Powers was fun live what I saw her. Joe Roll
I don't care for, and their audience gets drunk and
if I figure Death Punch their audience gets abrusive and toxic.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
I don't know how to say that politely, but yes,
you know, you know they definitely have like a bunch.
You know, they're definitely serving vodka Red Bull at this venue.
Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
I want to see Ghost live, and I want to
see Sophie Powers live because I've not seen her live yet.
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
You're the I want to see Meg Shut the Front Door.
Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Yeah, yes, that's the kids Bop lyrics by the way,
the front.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
Door Karen's shut the front Door.
Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
The song is so funny though, especially when done on
American idol. So yeah, I'm hilarious. So uh, don't want
to touch so much just said for the five bigger
Death Punch photo. Can't touch this, don't want to touch that. Yeah,
well all right, I would go just for that. I
see more. Yes as the nose well yes, yes, no.
(01:05:25):
Maybe Jolly Roll is decent live. Otherwise I'll just barely go.
He wasn't bad live. He performs his stuff well, and
it's really him singing. He's not using mods or effects
or anything like that. He does have that voice. I'll
get him that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Oh between the Jall fans and five for Your Death
Punch fans.
Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Yes, probably those two fans are back to back as well.
Was it's it's a big x COP festival.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
To you's and the Midwest metal fans.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
Yeah, and then we have Ghosts to end it all out,
So you know what I'd say, yes, you know what,
It's just this is like a fifty one forty split
what do we call well, I don't even know what
to call that festival.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
By the way, the front this is definitely Nebraska Fest
shut the.
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
Front door fest in you know what, Lincoln, Nebraska's That's
just fine. Okay, all right, while we're doing that, I'll
just leave it on this picture right now. Joey well Rowan,
do you have the albums coming out this Friday, September twelfth.
Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
I'm glad I was able to still do this because
we actually, we honestly have a stacked week ahead of us.
We have Between the Buried and Me with the Blue Nowhere,
we have Star Set with Silos, we have Dance Gavin
Dance with Pantheon, which is their first album with the
new guy Andrew Wells. Uh. I'm really excited for this
one too. Laura Shore is coming up with I feel
(01:06:46):
the ever Black festering within me. Oh my god, it dude,
I've been loving the singles. They've been amazing. I love
the water. Sure it's gonna be awesome. It feels like
the last three months for Death Gore have been great.
And the only one who thinks that.
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
A death Core resurgence for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
I am all here for it. Uh And I mean,
like this band needs no introduction. We got spinal tap
with the end continues. They just performed on Jimmy Kimmel, Like, did.
Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
They find it? That's the big thing. Did they find it?
They did?
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
They did find a drummer. It's just I don't know
if they said her name, but it's like it's a woman.
I'm like, do you know the risk, right?
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
You got to sign a release or even trying out
for him?
Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
Oh yeah, I know it's you can't sue, your family
can't sue. But uh no, seriously, I'm ver really excited
about I'm really spited about the movie too. Yes, and
then you know, just getting out of the way. We
also got new releases from Silverstein I See Stars, Demon Hunter,
and twenty one Pilots. Again, just just a lot this week.
Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
That's twenty one pilots could go to number one. Those
clickie fans. Oh yeah, well they're twenty one pilots, so
I could definitely see that. Yeah, pilots counts. I remember
when someone stole a drum from one came together to
the shame Down. Yes, goodness, it's not like you're trying
to sh steal a guitar pick or a drumstick. The
(01:08:10):
drum that he needs drum. Yeah, all right, we now
go back to our rocker foppless. We're all over the
place of this second half. But that's okayat Fest coming up.
Thank you Ellie Eat for your super chats. Here we
go heat Fest. Number one, Creeper. I'm happy they have
a new album coming out later this year. Number two.
(01:08:30):
Oh no, it's Devil Daddy. No one stays after Psycho Center.
Show's over. After this, you got Pso you got the
worst festival car and I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
I love how we got five Death Punch and then
the drummer of five Bigger Death Punch.
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
I can't believe you put Psycho Center in here.
Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
What it's not just that you hate us? Oh I
just want to read the little qualifier again. Oh no,
it's devil Daddy. No one says after Psycho Center shows
over after this, So no, so creeper at Psycho Center. No,
I would not go to this festival. I'm sorry, Allie,
(01:09:14):
I'm sorry. The reaction to the chat made this totally
worth it, by the way.
Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
So there's there's not gonna be a single person saying yes.
Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
I'm so sorry this image makes you sick.
Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
Yeah, I'm just glad we don't have to say psycho
sexual anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
I'm glad.
Speaker 4 (01:09:37):
How how does it feel to say I'm glad they
changed the name to Psycho Center and.
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
It's still that doesn't feel good, and it still didn't
help one bit.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Yeah, here's here's a bit of advice if you want,
if you want people to take your band seriously, don't
make your band name something that's cringey to say out loud.
Oh yeah, I just saw psycho Sexual. Amazing the singer's
name devil Daddy.
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Yeah, you know. Also, I stand by this comment that
I made years ago. This is one of the weird
carry cases where a member of a band leaves and
then you find out, oh wow, the band was actually
doing doing much better without this guy, regardless of how
good of a musician.
Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
He is.
Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
This guy's insane.
Speaker 3 (01:10:17):
So yeah, his whole everything he's done after leaving five
very death much and that is it's it's a roller coaster.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
I'm sorry you Fest, better luck next time. Youth Fest
will be remembered for a legacy though.
Speaker 4 (01:10:32):
Blame Psycho Sexual slash Psycho Center and Devil Daddy.
Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Yeah, you could blame Double Daddy for just about anything.
It would actually makes sense. Yep for how bad? Yeah,
so yeah, all right, we got one blame Member every
World because yeah, I'm okay with that. And lode Wolf
because perhaps we usually don't do this. We'll do one
more because it's been a litle bit of a bonker
second half. Lode Wolf Fest number one actually should do
(01:10:55):
one more because this one ended so poorly. Fest. Here
we go, they used very nice There we go, nice
little start. Number two Rise Against so you're getting that
emo and punk style, okay. Number three power Man five thousand,
(01:11:16):
you did a lot of that. Two thousands rock and
number four the Smashing Pumpkins solid The reason I would
not go to this. This is fun. Yeah, you know,
this is a good show. This is a this is
definitely a radio station festival. By the way, this is
what uh somewhere in Nebraska or Topeka, Kansas would totally
(01:11:39):
get for the bands that they were just trying to
randomly find. I'd go to this. I'd go to lond
wolf Fest. That's easy.
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
Yeah, yeah, I'll go yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
Chat. Would you go to lone wolf Fest? You can't
go to e Fest? Come on, guys, you're not going
to e Fest. Let's be honest. Would you go to
lone wolf Fest? Sorry? Ell eat? I go to this?
Yeah know what this works? Yeah, I'd go some bops, Yes, yes, yes,
all day. My depression has been cured.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Wowy for changing lines.
Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
Well then, all right, looks looks like the random festival
generator actually did do some good today. Ah see, there's
some good things that happen. Two out of three festival.
Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
My life is of pain.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Oh yeah, give be to do over it? Guys, that
breaks the whole system. If I give L E to
do over that's not fair to the system that we've.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
Had some some oopy qualifiers. This counts is a very
tip of.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
The ice cream, like I said, yeah, yeah, tip of
the mound. Leave it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Yeah, I'm afraid what else you have in there?
Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
I have some goods that might be the wor I'm
so afraid that that probably is the worst one. But
ones so.
Speaker 3 (01:12:55):
But that's the worst that it goes.
Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Okay, if that is the worse that it goes, Yes,
also we got at least Creeper out of that. That's
good rock.
Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
I went to that Creeper show, The Creeper.
Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
Show where everyone's sprinted for the parking lot as soon
as it was over. Yes, that's the one.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
It was awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
Yeah, after Creeper.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Psycho Center will be performing in ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Hockey Lot has twenty five reres just app for each other.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Tragedy and Psychic Center show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
Sponsored by the podcast that Rocks. Well, you know what
you wanted a festival.
Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
It's like it's like the scene in Classics Bunch Bob Worder,
Patrick is holding up you look at it, look.
Speaker 1 (01:13:54):
Right now, broke before everybody. I apologize to you well
for hanging out while Rowan gets his oxygen back. Yes,
it would be that bad of a show. See that
little qualifier I made got some happiness and joy out
of everyone. I don't want to hear any crap about
how sometimes those things ruined for everyone.
Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
I did it right, well in enhanced and then and
then cured someone's depression.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
It was good. It was good. It was fun.
Speaker 1 (01:14:18):
Yeah, see it was fun. Boots Psycho Center and have
Creeper do a headline show. I mean that'd be better.
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
So I know what happened.
Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
Technically, yes, because no one stayed so yes that by
default that's what happened. Thank you guys for hanging out.

a new video and you waiting for your eyes right now.

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):

very positive news week. We can have them, It's possible.

as opposed to Amuse black Holes and Revelations forty three percent.
That is much more. Yeah, oh one more super cheches
(01:15:21):
came in from a low Wolf, which just caught it
just in time. Wrote one favorite on hit Me Me
Mirba or Future Palace.
Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Those are both great. I like, I like Marie Marybot
more Between those two, it's it's a bit of a
tongu fwister, But my favorite is Future Nostalgia.
Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
Yeah, very cool fairs place.
Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
Especially like uh, there's a little interlude right before called

way it transitions between like that too, like the actual music.
It's it just hits really hard.

Very cool, awesome to hear that, Alum, chat it's check
out the pin com and if you're watching this on

to laugh. Can we get to number four?
Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
Chat?
Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
Is it possible?
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):

Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
Life is all about balance, So today was awesome chat wise,
so perhaps my joke will not. I don't know, goodness
