Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome back to the podcast That Rocks Weekly podcast. It
talks about news in the world of rock, metal, alternative
and everything in between.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
My name is Luke, my name is Alex, and my
name is Rowan.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Sorry for the minute or two delay on YouTube. Turns
out I just have such a rough force. I said, hey,
do you guys want to get water?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Really? We could get water and they both wouldn't got water?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Am I such a problem? Monster that I can't even
like a water break? Is such a demand? Like such
a gift?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Shit? You don't know when he turns off the camera.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, a different person, especially in a remote sety, I
must be a monster if I can enforce that to
have a will in different states, on and time zones.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So I don't know how.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
You do it, man, but it's absolutly terrifying.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Seriously, I don't know how I do it either. I'm
completely in the dark on that. However, thank you all
for joining us on this Wednesday evening. If we hit
the fifty likes, we will play at least one round
of Festival Rock or Fly. We already got one super Chat,
so we have one round there for l e each.
We'll get to all super chats read later. Tonight's we
also will be talking about a few things that are
(01:10):
will be as polite as we can without going super overboard,
especially in the time allotted, because a lot of things
have happened. However, thank you so much for being here.
And if you noticed earlier, and we have the little
icon to the right of my head, we're doing the
ride Fesk giveaway. The instructions are on the YouTube thing

for joining us. Anything else before we start to have
our heartscrings tugged on a little bit, Alex.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Rowan, you ready to cry a little? You want to?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
You want to cry a little?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I don't want to cry anymore. I think you want.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I think you're all ready to have your feelings hurt.
Just one more time, just one more time. Here we
go sharing my screen. Yeah, well, bam, bam, you see
isn't that sweet.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
I watched part of this and it was like, so
oh god, it was like so impressing seeing the family.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah, it literally tore me up. I watched it. I
saw Sharon's face and I was.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
I do think about like decades since we've all been alive,
they have been inseparable because they've worked the business together.
To see one half without the other is definitely a
new thing, especially for her, you know. So I'm glad
they have the whole family there, and I'm also very
impressed with just how many people showed up.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Also, it was beautiful.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
The whole I watched the whole funeral thing, you know,
this morning. It was very early this morning in the US.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, they couldn't delay more for us.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Gosh. Yeah, they had like a police escort two as well,
Like it was insane, like they went all layout, which
the Englishmen.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
All of England unanimously agreed, Okay, no crime during his funeral.
Let's just let's just be on our best behavior.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
That was that was the press release.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yes, yeah, and I was any thoughts just overall what
you saw I did not see. I couldn't see the
whole life thing. I saw clips back and forth watching
live while doing other things as well.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Have you guys just because there's been like enough time
for like people to kind of like make jokes mercer
or like make memes and edits about it, but like
have you seen like have you guys seen like reels
or jokes about like Ozzie reuniting with the bat in Heaven?
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yes, yeah, the memes go lore. I also saw someone
he had a cherub and God's like, no, no, it's
not a bat.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
In Heaven.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Also, I would be remiss to not acknowledge all the
jokes because we lost Hulkgan this past week as well,
who once claimed he was going to be the basis
for Meatallica. Yes, he did claim that, and it was
debunks by Batallica. No he did not, really He hull
Covid has a long long history of lying, unfortunately, a
long long history, and that was one of them. So
(04:09):
he like his lie was that after Cliff Burton passed
he was originally going to be the basis for Metallica,
And this was way after hall Coked's heyday and wrestling
too that he made up that lie. It's just one
of his tall tails that had that type of thing. However,
there's been a lot of means with him as well.
Not as flattering though, because Ozzy Osbourne definitely got the
proper send off.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
So it was great to see the kids and Sharon,
you know, like all the kids, especially Amy, because we
don't see her very often.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
She wants nothing to do with cameras in the spotlight.
She never has. She's always been yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, and it makes sense.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Obviously you don't want your entire life broadcast, and you know,
your family decided to whatever. But it was really good
to see her come out with the family. They were
all standing together. They weren't, you know, standing apart. It
was good to see all of them together.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
It was cool.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I mean, I think this image right here is one
of my favors because it is the hearse, but it's
also just the family right there. And then the bench
just not even a bench anymore, like there's no way,
like would you pass by. It's just it's such a
living monument to Ozzy that so many people have come
to over the past week, to the points where how
(05:19):
like security had of stuff. It's like please no more, please,
you know that type of thing.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
It was a lot and it was really I liked.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
I really liked the subtle small nods. Darren wearing Ozzie's
wedding ring around her neck. I thought that was that
was a very you know like that really I got
goosebumps again because it's just so sad what they're all
going through. And then of course Kelly wearing a pair
of Ozzy sunglasses.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yes, just nuts. Grutchen noticed that too.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Yet with those sunglasses, Jack I can have like a
little like a cross on his like tie kind of
like part of like Ozzy, He's like big cross chain
and he has his other son I keep forgetting his name, sorry,
but like yeah, and then he has like the purple
color scheme with him to very black sabbathy.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
For those listening, like we're looking at pictures right now
of the funeral like that are featured from Rolling Stone.
Right now you see the photo of Sharon and the
family and the kids. You see Kelly with sunglasses. You
see Sharon with the ring around her neck, like the
one ring the metal version. This is the metal version
pretty much of the Wondering from Lord of the Rings
(06:25):
worn the same way as Frodo did. Yes, I nailed it.
I finally found a way to get frodo in this story.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I mean, we hadd a Lord of the Rings reference
with Danny Warsow looking like a nosegool a couple of
weeks back.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Oh, we'll get to him later. Unfortunately. Oh yes, Oh
my god, I know that's what you're not speaking of.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Do not stop with this.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
He's speaking of tears, but not for the right reason.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
So he thanks.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah. At peace, Osborne's widow, Sharon holds up a peace
sign while standing with her children Kelly, Amy and Jack.
While Osborne and sad With were long associated with witchcraft
in Dark Dark Magic, Osbourne wance cracked to Rolling Stone.
We couldn't conjure up a fart. We'd get invitations to
play witches conventions and black masses in Highgates Cemetery. I
honestly thought it was a joke. We were the last
hippie band. We were into peace.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
That's a great quote, by the way, from Ozzy Osbourne.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
I'm glad that Rolling Stone was able to pull some
things like this and they and give it a little
bit of like a lighter feeling, you know, because again,
like you see some of these photos, it is heartbreaking,
but at the same time you cannot ask for a
better send off at a more legendary tribute, and and
to someone like this.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
One of the additional lighthearted ones that I really was
just like, hell yeah, Ozzy was from his I Am
Ozzy autobiography.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Oh my god, he was What did he say? I
gotta pull up potag.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
I'll pull up on your Instagram too, because I remember
you go for it.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Yeah, I just don't want to get it wrong. It's
such a long quote.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
It should be on now. If you had to write
it on screen, go ahead, yeah, yeah, yeah, so you
want it.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
He wants it on his headstone. He put it in
his autobiography. Ozzy Osbourne born nineteen forty eight died whenever
he bit the head off a bat. Ozzie wrote that himself,
that's what he wanted on his headstone.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
I love that. It reminds me of a Trent Reznor
had like a very similar like statement for when he dies.
I don't think I can say it, but he was like,
I want to be on one on May epitaph be
like said fists f won a Grammy.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, And that was and that was like decades before
he won like fifty other awards.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Too.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
So yeah, so that being said, like everything we've talked
about the last two weeks now and or last week
whatever it feels like longer, because it hasn't even been
two weeks. It was last Tuesday when he passed. And
I don't think there's anything else we can add. And
it sucks to say that because everyone said everything. But
(08:58):
I'm glad again if this is the proper this is
the proper best way to send off someone like Ozzy Osbourne,
and if you if when they announced the dates for
that theater production version, like the theater release for Back
to the Beginning, like in the like you'll watch it,
(09:18):
like the concert movie Boiled are gonna sell out, so I.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Won't like people to get the best seat in the theater.
I do not care.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh so bad only going to the movies. Oh you
don't like going.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
To the movies.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Okay, I do get it because I worked at a
movie theater. Once you work it, you realize how gross
movie theaters can get. It's a whole different thing.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
I like to eat big things, a messy food on
my couch watching a movie.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I don't want to eat popcorn.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Oh if only pop from like see here's the thing
like people bring in their own food, like fast food
and stuff. It'll eat it and then just leave it
under the seats when they're done. It's like, you can't
even bring It's not even our food that we gave you, dude.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Like I saw Superman last Saturday. Guy next to me
took out an apple and just started eating.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
I say it, that's a little start finding a rotisserie
chicken like bones and oh the costs or something.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Okay, we're going this is a good segue. Not a
good segue, but just like something like to change the
subject from droom and gloom and all that, I want
to hear. One of the grossest things I ever found
under the seat when I was working as a movie
theater as a senior in high school.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
See Oh God, God a dusk So many guests don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
A dirty diaper someone changed their baby oh and just
left it under the seats, and that means they changed
it during the movie.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Gross.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Dang, this reminds you of this one time. So I
saw the I saw the Saw movie with Chris Uh
oh my god, name of the Chris Rock.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, I can't believe you, guys name.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
I saw the Chris Rock Saw movie back in twenty
twenty one, my buddy, there was a baby in the
theater with us.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I believe it. Oh dominant.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah, they'll parents will bring their kids to anything.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
They don't care. They don't care, definitely, not seventeen should
not be at a Saw movie.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
No, not at a Saw movie at all. You know what,
they all should not bring themselves, like probably should bring
a baby to a slaughter to prevail show. Hey, there's
the segway. I nailed it. So for those who have not,
like over the past less than a week, I would
have said before it really caught fire. There have been
two releases, one from a former drum tech and one
(11:29):
from the band themselves, and it is literally, uh tour
industry drama, the one exciting thing everyone loves to talk
about in the rock world and metal world. Uh so yeah,
hello a RTV, Hello John and all everyone a RTV.
John's here. Yeah, found many of those dirty diapers. Also
(11:50):
found completely finished twelve packs of beer in a kid's
movie once. Yeah, I believe it.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Oh my god, you sneak that.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Oh, they don't even try to sneak sometimes they'll just
care it in like in the case, you.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Know, I.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Mean, like my dad would like go to like Target
or something and grab chocolate bars or whatever just to
sneak into the movie theater. But he would like hide
it in his pockets and all that stuff, like the
balls to would just walk into a movie theater with
a twelve pack of beer.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Like I felt like, yeah, because the thing for us,
we has to see people carrying like Wendy's at McDonald's
bags and their sodas and just walk in with it.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
It's like, come on, I felt like.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
I was gonna get arrested sneaking a pack of sour
Patch kids into the movies.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Like I thought I would get cackled.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
I thought that was like the worst.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
That would happen. Yeah, I didn't want to get kicked out.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Also, if I'm getting like drunken all this stuff and
the kids with me, I feel like you're probably breaking
some law, right.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, and John also brings up a great point. Yeah,
movie theater workers get paid crap, like really bad. So
but you get to see free movies when they're not working.
Uh huh awesome.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
So yeah, anyway, so I am not going to read
at both statements growth from the drum tech mister Finch
and the band. Because they're both quite long, I will
submit them. However, I do want to point out Tank
the tech another like Metal Reaction video Channel and stuff
like that. He's a tour tech and tour manager also
for bands like Electric Callboy. He had a very thorough
(13:16):
breakdown read both statements, gave thoughts, did research all that.
I will link to it in the comments tomorrow once
this is posted in the pin comment and I'll tag it.
So here's the best summation I can give. And this
is like what I'm screwing through right now. Is the
first long post on his private Facebook page until he
shared it out publicly. To sum up, this man was
(13:38):
quoting and left tour mid tour from Slaughter to Prevail
this year, stating a lot of different things, from delayed
payments when asked about a delayed payment going to getting
told to go f himself, saying there was no per
diem for food and things like that on days off,
and a lot of other mismanagement and treatment. Meanwhile, there
were other things going on. It's worth it to say
this was not directed at Slaughter to Prevail, the management
(14:00):
and touring company that did all this, So is everyone
on the same page right now. Yeah, Slaughter to Prevail
responded in another long post the short summation of that
short summation, there we go, boy on, I don't drink
but man oh man. So they made a big long
pace as well posts as well, saying we always take
(14:22):
care of our staff, our team members. We were not
aware of a lot of this until it was posted.
We were unsure why he left until he did that
day of. Also, he said we were aware that this
person had bad behavior before we fired him. We also
were aware that one of his friends we had to
fire also had problems. And then it goes back and forth.
(14:43):
So and Slaughter to Prevail's response, they address a lot
of the situations very clearly, but they also put a
little more fuel on the fire unnecessarily. My best was
my best reaction to this video is one of the
situations that Finch talked about was that he bought pizza
out of his own pocket for the crew, either on
a day of or day off, and he wasn't reimbursed
for that. So here's my best response for what's going
(15:06):
on behind the scenes at a Slutter to Prevail show. Yeah, well,
I bought everyone pizza and I wasn't paid for it. Yeah,
well I don't like you or I don't like your friend.
Did you get that this high school cafeteria garbage? That
is exactly what I say.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
With with that one particular instance, this guy goes back
to Tank's video, by the way, amazing video.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
If you haven't watched it, seriously go watch it.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
He actually has like connections with Thomas finchin like memories.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
He does like he did a lot of thorough research,
like reaching out to people on the tour that he knew.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Reaching out to the people who who were involved. Yeah,
but he talked about it how like, and I've had
this working on film sets. You are if your crew
and you're working, you are kind of like paid, like
you're are given like a certain amount per day to
just kind of like cover basic like food and like
you know, other necessities really but kind of like what
(15:59):
Tank was like talking about too, it's not necessarily like
I don't think it's always the case. When it happened,
you get those on your days off. So I think
he even said it that if he bought pizza on
a day off for the crew, it may have not
been seen as like a day that you would be
given that allowance bot of the by the management.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
There's a lot of gray area stuff and things like that,
other things that part. Yeah, and there are other things
like that too, because again, a lot of these touring
band members, including the band, are not American. They have
bank cards from overseas. There's delays in a lot of
payments and stuff like that as well. Delayed payments on
tour happen everywhere for every tour, and it's not always
(16:39):
their faults. And the band making the statement on their pages,
it felt like management steps is like, hey, we're taking
control of your feed and posting this and I kind
of got that, Yeah, I kind of got.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
That because so it wasn't even that big of a
deal when.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
You know, these are a lot of speaking actually yes,
and it wasn't that bad until Slaughter to Prevail tried
to chime in and then it was like, oh, oh,
maybe this is really bad.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Yeah, And like there's a lot of things back and forth. Again,
the statements are long, and I'll link to both articles.
I'll link to tank the text video, very good stuff
on those, Like for every serious accusation, there's another accusation
that's less than he said.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
She said.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
And I get being so frustrated that you want to
vent and make a big statement after you quit your job.
I get it. I did it myself with the hospital. However,
my situation was wildly different than this. I didn't name names,
and I didn't go to this level. Okay, I don't
know if anyone looks good in this situation.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
No, I don't think anyone really won real.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Yeah, and this is this is where it comes to.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
The point I want to talk about, especially for this regardless,
I can't imagine this will go to court.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
I just can't.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Also, Finch said he has been caught up on his
payment by now, even after he wrote the statement. His
payment's just there. So it's like, and you're still that
angry and still that upset, whatever, whatever, whatever, Okay, all
that being said, he is for his drum company is
a big thing too, because like he has his own drum,
he's a drum tech. He oh, he made custom drumheads
and things like that as well.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
My topic that I.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Want to focus this on, I want to ask because
I'm not a big slaughter to prevail fan. I have
not heard a lot a ton of their stuff outside
of singles, Slaughter to Avail is now one hundred percent
of band that when you hear the name, you don't
think of the music first. You think of all the accusations.
You think the controversy, who they tour with, all the
things been, all the drama behind it, wrestling a bear,
(18:42):
bare knuckle like fistfighting tournaments, all this other stuff, all
these other things. You don't think of the music second,
or you don't even think of the music first or
second anymore. It's like third and that's this band now,
and that's not great. And I'm not saying that's completely
their fault. I'm just saying this is that type of
with controversy that is now in the limelight, not for
(19:03):
the music anymore.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
And they just had an album come out.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Yeah, that's the tough part. But like even Finch himself
will say that, like you should not direct your hatred
towards the band, because even in his initial statement he
had nothing but nice things to say about all the members.
It was the management that had a problem. He even
again the Tank talks about it. He even had a
follow up statement where it's like, again I have to
clarify this. I am not I am not angry at
(19:30):
the band, but that didn't blow up either, So that
guy got swept under the rug real correct, And so like,
I'm not saying that you don't there's not I even
say this as a slar to per Bail Fan, a
very public slart to Pervail Fan. I'm not saying that
there's no reason to not like the band like, But
the same time, too, you have to justify it. And
I don't think it's justifiable that they get as that
(19:51):
they got as much hatred in this situation as they did,
because again, after those initial statements, a lot of a
lot of news outlets again just kind of decided, oh, yeah,
this is entirely the band's fault. But there's a lot
of there's not as much communication with the management and
the crew and the band as you might think.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
So, you know what, I think that's kind of the
band's fault.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
I'm going to counter on your point here only because
if the band hadn't gone on social media and responded
the way they did, it wouldn't have been taken on
to the band as their fault, you know what I mean?
Because Finch flat out was like, tour management didn't do this,
this you know, he said, tour management, the guys in
the band are awesome, and then Slaughterer to Prevail posted
(20:34):
on their pages a response which kind of feels like, oh,
maybe they actually did have something to do with what
was going on behind the scenes, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (20:45):
I sort of yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
But at Timeline wise, I think a lot of people
saw the statements put like put out like this, like
their articles about like directed towards the band themselves, and
then Slarga Brielle responded and then that kind of fuel
the fire. But initially it was like a thing where
again Timeline WI people were misdirecting their hatred to the band.
Finch kind of said, had to clarify, Yeah, that's not
(21:06):
the case. It was the management and then's Large to
Prevail release or stavement and was like, okay, yeah, this
did not help you at all.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Yeah, And my thing is also, this is only adding
to the stack of things that are controversial for Slaughter
to Prevail. A lot of the controversy does come from
Alex Terrible. I'm not going to skate around that. That's
where the majority of it comes from. He does not
exactly have a good track record of making things better
for herself and in the band, whether innocent or bad
(21:35):
past or presence. Here's the thing, though, when things like
this happen, and this is the response, We also want
people to know we had warnings about this person before
the tour. We gave them a chance and stayed quiet.
We never shared any of their past or press behavior public,
even when he had reason to you. But now that
line has been crossed. Another crew member close to this
individual was also not asked for return because of poor work.
That is something he said.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
She said high school cafeteria.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Stuff like this post could have been a one pager,
been very clear, got all the notes out, made a
direct and probably save them a lot of trouble. But
I think feelings are strong and heated from both a
former drum tech who's very bitter at a band who's
known for getting angry. Is that a polite way to
(22:19):
say it.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, Honestly, I think both people just let emotions get
the better of them when it came to their statements,
and that just it just did not paint anyone in
a good light.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
I correct.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Yeah, someone just said it's like it's like the guy,
the one guy wanted to sue Coldplay, the former ceo
Coldplay had nothing to do, is not in faulted that
at all? That in on them? You want to blame
stuff on them? Yeah, come on now.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Yeah no, it's like imagine the CEO guy tries to
prove it in court. Yeah, they knew I was with
a noble woman and they told the caraman to get.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Why are you infringe on my privacy? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
And also his wife now soon to be ex wife
and daughter of also made statements they are so done
with him. Uh yeah, so that's gonna.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Be the worst way to find out too. It's like, oh, wait,
what's it like you?
Speaker 1 (23:12):
And that's how it was too for the daughter, That's
how it was. Yeah, it's like, ooh.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
Oh god, I feel cold Play dude, Like when when
those situations happen, I feel so bad for the kids
because you know they are not going to hear the
end of it.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
And the kids are adults, and the kids were like
the daughter was an adult to like she was in
college or something, so it's not like she was young young.
But at the same time.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
It's but I think they also had like younger kids.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yeah, yucky, No matter what.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
It is, speaking of yucky and this is a great
segue into that the comments for Alex Terrible and other
slaughter to veil posts are not exactly as dreamy and
well said as you would hope. There is a lot
of rage and the slaughter to prevail fan base camp
on both sides. And if you want to go through
(24:00):
the comment section, you go right ahead, maybe go for
a walk after boy, I could say that for a
lot of slaughter to prevail news posts, not the music. Again,
this more, this further proves my point. We're not talking
a thing about the music at all. It's just this
is the stuff that surrounds the band. Now.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
It's just far too much time talking about how busted
his face was after that bar nuckle fight and talk
about the music.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Though.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, to be fair, he brought it up himself too,
he did.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
I mean, like Alex does put himself in these situations
where it's like he tries to get attention through like
other ventures like with the Bears and all that stuff,
or the barre knuckle fights. And look again, I say
this as a slarge prevail fan, I don't mind it
as long as it's like done, as long as it
doesn't take away from the music, which is the main
thing that I like Slarge Prevail for. It's just like,
but even I will say that, like after a while,
it's like it gets a little bit annoying.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
It's a lot gets as I know it.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Incarceration last weekend, two weekends ago, whenever, to whatever it was.
They tried to set it up on film and record
for the biggest Wall of death ever at Shaw Shank Price.
You know, it's like, Okay, that's something for the concert,
that's something fun, but no one's talking about that because
people's talking about this and everything else that Alex Terrible
is said and done, So I would rather talk about that.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
And they also got some new fans at Warp Tour
Long Beach they did. People were like, oh have you
heard about this? And a lot of people were stoked
about it.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
They did know they did. Yeah, they put on a
good show. I'm just saying this objectedly. They put on
a good show. I like their music well enough. They
have a lot.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Going for them. It's just like a thing where it's like.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
It sucks that this type of stuff and like everything
else is like the thing that Sartabile just becomes synonymous with.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
And I will say this too, and this is more
coming from more of an outsider fan that's not super
familiar with everything about the band. I do feel somewhat
bad for the other four members of Slaughter to prevail
behind Alex Terrible. I do wonder if it's a situation
where they're just trying to be in the band and
play the music and oh what did Alex say?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Now? That type of thing.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
It's like, it's kind of like the you know, Mick Mars.
I think about how much crap he probably put up
with with Vince, Neil and Nick, and that's a you
could think of other situations comparisons like that, the two
hundred different musicians that played for West Scanton in Puddle
of Mud over the past twenty years, Like oh what
did West do now?
Speaker 2 (26:11):
You know?
Speaker 4 (26:11):
And that's a little bit different.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
As far as I know, no one else's Lartervale has
like said anything like that, So that's kind of like
a little bit hearsay.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
No, no, no, I mean like I'm thinking more just
saying like if that's how they feel, and I hope
it's not. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I
mean by that. So we will keep up to date.
I'm working on something else with another YouTuber that like
knows more about Slaughter Toivail and I won have a
talk with him about it too, But at the same time,
(26:38):
like that hasn't happened yet, so I won't like promote
it too much yet. I just at the same time,
this is like a situation where Slaughter Tripravail is getting bigger.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
They're not gonna get smaller right now. They're gonna keep going.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
I saw one comment like they're not their tour with
bands of their same type, and that's gonna keep them
growing in that pocket. Last year there was the tour
with Marilyn Manson five Figured Death Bunch Slaughter to Prevail.
That is like the stereotype tour you would think of
for something like this now. But at the same time,
that's the band that's going to keep getting bigger, and
(27:09):
I don't know what's going to happen next that gets
them back on the music discussion, considering Grizzly just came out.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
Yeah, I hope they get back on that track because
I don't I'm not a huge fan like Rowan. I'm not,
and I am probably slightly more of a casual fan
than Luke. I know all of the singles I like
cut some of their collaborations here and there. I do
think some of what they've done musically is good, and
I do enjoy it. I don't know all of it,
but I hope that we can start focusing more on that.
(27:39):
I want to learn more about it. I want to
hear more about it organically, you know what I mean?
And I don't want to hear or have to see
busted ass.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Face fine Webca sorry get it. Also from the chat
from LA eight Alex terrible behavior, am I right?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Yeah? Come on now, we got to.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Step up on game.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
We have standards here.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Yeah, I've said high standards on this channel, all right,
all right, I.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Say they were high stairs, but we have standards.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
All right, Yeah, okay, that's fair. There are some standards there. Yes,
there we go. So let's move on to a different discussion.
And it kind of leads into this. A band that
played at Warped Tour Long Beach was uh unique festival?
Is that a way to say it? From everything we've
heard and seen, I'll say this, I'm gonna play this
(28:38):
just a little clips of this. This is like during
the day on day one and all the footage and stuff.
This is not even a shred of how many people
work there, eighty five thousand across two days. And from
what everyone's told me, including people that worked it, publicists,
media people, label reps bands, they oversold this thing by
(28:58):
a lot, a whole lot. And that's rough in a
situation where it's roughly one hundred degrees and no one
can move.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
At Yeah, that sounds brutal, Like chet I was talking
to Luke earlier, like right before we are on the call,
I live in New York and we are going through
a heat wave and it's one hundred degrees.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
I am miserable. I am.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I walk outside and I could feel every particle touching
my body and I hate it.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Yeah, and also yeah, and also Alex, I don't know
how you do it out here, just in that weather.
But at the same time, when we're out in the
stank heat wave, and like they say it, well in
LA there's no humidity. We're also not surrounded by eighty
like forty thousand people and not able to move all
day in the sun.
Speaker 5 (29:44):
See, it's a dry heat and then the bodies just
created a lot of humidity, so it bounces it out
a little.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
You know.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
You know what else it's a dry heat, a dry
heat and an oven. Yeah doesn't mean I want to
climb in.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Or you go into a dry sauna, but like you
only last. You only go in there for like ten
to fifteen minutes. You're anymore, you're pushing it.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
I will say this from the fan perspective, most of
the it went as expected. A lot of people that
I know that were at both say it was as
rough as DC, just the weather and the venue were different.
I also heard from many people that were at both
saying they would have preferred a different venue, not a
different city, a different venue. There's a huge difference. And
(30:27):
then I kind of get tough crap. Next year they're
gonna be in the same venues anyway, at least for
DC and Long Beach.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
I like this venue, Okay, I like this area. I do. Yeah,
that's fine.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
So there were personal opinion, sure, and outside of sound
issues from the stages, that happens at any festival, that's
just gonna that's things like that do happen. I'm not
going to fault that. Oh Warp Tour does again, No,
that's not on Warp Tour. Most of the bands had
good performances. I will not take that on them. Okay,
a couple key points. I want to point out that
(31:00):
you get a lot of attention and traction. The big
one in a good way. Dropkick Murphy said, you know what,
screw it. They dedicated a big old song to Even
my non music friends were scared, like we're sharing out
first class loser and showing off the Epstein file things
and Donald Trump's picture while they sang to it. They
knew their audience and they did not care. So, you
know what, that's more of a spirit of punk at
(31:21):
a pop punk emo concert and festival. They at least
did that. That got a lot of attention, especially on
TikTok and Instagram a lot. So using your voice, then
we have someone who's having trouble using his voice. See
what I did there. I'm actually pretty proud of that.
You guys ready, are you ready for the silence? And
(31:41):
boy oh boy, the silence is correct. That's full volume.
What pretty much your conversations going on?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Can I just say one thing between the between like
the hat and beard and jersey and the fact that
he's playing country, Alex not us like Danny Warsnup, looks
like Luke Komb's.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
I get what you're saying. And uh see, he's wearing
clothes that are a normal human would wear. That is improvements.
What's not improved that he was still relying on the
back tracks. People were saying it was mostly new material
and this time he busted out the acoustics for a
country ballad that he does.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
I know, he did his stupid freaking country material.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
Yeah, God, he was doing that. Yeah, and I happily
forgot about it.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
I was gonna say, if he wanted to do that,
I at a one off like on that tour, whether
you're about sports chevelle at least, then I would get it.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Not at Warped Tour, especially.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Not even the ass Andrea fans probably even knew a
single word of his country material because put a gun
to my head, I couldn't tell you a think about
his country stuff.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah, and I know, and he had a whole album
come out, I want to say a few years back.
But I'm just thinking, wouldn't you want to be like
on a big rebounds like Okay, DC was a nightmare.
We have to step up, we have to come back.
We're going on tour a game.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
We have to play some favor.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
We gotta make sure the crowd remembers us and loves
us to spin that around. Ooh, this is what you get.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Also, maybe we should just do the exact opposite of that.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
We're gonna we're gonna double deck, We're gonna double down. Oh,
and I just think about this. Also, my like my
attitude about being in the baking sun in an overcrowded
venue all day and you wait for this.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
I would be curious.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Honestly, I probably was so mad, so mad.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
I don't know if I waited seven hours, just like
you know the barricade waiters, they wait all day for
the final act. They rush, they don't go to the bathroom,
they don't get food, They wait, and then you gotta
wait through.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
That was younger, back in my youth, when I was
spry and I did the barricade all day. Yeah, and
I mean all day. I would have been livid. If
I was one of these Alexandria I'd have been so mad.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
I would have like, I would have been confused of like,
what the heck's going on here?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Dude? I can't even I can't even companiently say even that.
Many asking Alexandria fans would even know his country stuff,
because like, I get that again, I don't even know.
Even when I was more involved in asking Alexandria and
I was like talking to people online about like their
music and their activity, no one would bring it up.
(34:37):
So also, this is like, and.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
I say this is honestly, I'm surprised there was not
more heckling because that would have been the perfect opportunity.
Would everyone quiet, That would have been the time to
heckle if someone was trying to do that. So hats
off to the tour, to the audience for not the tour,
the audience for indulging and putting up with that, I
don't want to say, because they didn't have anywhere else
(35:01):
to go. It's not like they could do anything.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
So I feel like the silence is kind of like
is telling though I.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Know actually was tired too.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Yeah, sunburns to death, dehydrated, and you're listening to Danny
Warstop play a country tune like.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
That because you have like that that awesome like metalcore
that amps you up and get you moving. That's when
you don't care about like being sunburnt or tired.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
You just be like, oh, yeah, this song rocks.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
I'm gonna get into the moshan, I'm gonna rage and
I'm just gonna have a good time.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Yeah, And someone does bring up and this is true.
His indie label that he does stuff with is called
Earache Records. They have other bands and yes that's the name. Yes, Chat,
you have to step up your joke game. Please come on.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
So seriously, like I'm sorry that I was gonna say.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Were there other problems that warped tour? Yeah, this was
every night, both.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Nights, bunch of sound bite.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Yes, this happened a lot. I'm not talking just like, oh,
this is one little scene. No, thousands of people and
the ride share pickup was pretty good far away if
I'm correct, Alex might be able to like let us
know more about that, just like distance wise. But yeah,
I mean so the the exodus.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yes, yes, it's fun.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
It happens after all of the big, super crowded Okay,
remember Sick New World. We had a little bit of
an exodus out of that venue. So when we were young. Yeah,
you jam tens, multiple tens of thousands of people into
one spot and they're all not thirteen anymore.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
It's gonna be a very long slow walk back to
the hotel.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
It's like a little zombie march or something.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
There were other ones on there, like people like walking dead.
Well you know, like doing that.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
It's like seeing a horror movie when you got like
this big zombie horde.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Coming at night, like the only it kind of gives
Aftershock vibes. It's just it's not in the park and
it's not pitch dark. So I will say, I wish.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
You don't have to worry about that bridge and folleel
of water here.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
And the hill and like they did say it was
just as dusty. People that go to Aftershock and Warped
Tour they said it was just as dusty.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
That's a nightmare for me.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
However, most of the fans I only say most, I
say they were fine with it. It wasn't the worst thing. Ever,
Why do I say it that way? I hope this
is stuff.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Warped Tour can build on.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
If they're gonna have the same venues next year, and
they we already know they are for two for DC
and Long Beach exact same venue. That's stuff to build on.
That's stuff they can work on. They don't have to
have Pooh River and septic line leaks at DC. They
can fix parking for Long Beach. They could have more
parking and shuttles or something, and they can build shade.
Shade is not expensive to build for a massive multimillion
(37:51):
dollar a thing like this, and shade should not be
a VIP luxury.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
And maybe sign on bands who actually will sing their songs.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
You know what. I had one thing to add to
that point right there.
Speaker 5 (38:01):
I was so hopeful for like one huge legacy warped
tour act and I did not get it, and I
was super disappointed. You know, I just had my hopes
up for no reason. I know I got my hopes
up for no reason. But I'm like, you know what,
this is a huge anniversary year. This would they have
to pull something else at This would have been something
else Long.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Each one would have been the one to do that
at you. I get that. Like I've been said before,
Long Beach had the best lineup. This one would have
been the main one to pull a big, huge surprise
or one big name, no, no.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Just one.
Speaker 5 (38:34):
And I was so sad when it didn't happen. I'm like,
damn it, this was a huge anniversary. You missed such
an opportunity.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
I guess they thought, asked me Alexandria would be that
legacy act, but clearly that's.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Not I'd be a little upset about what.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
No, then again they did give them like closing. I
don't think they. I don't know if they closed out
the stage in Long Beach also, but they closed it
out in DC, one of the side stages, so they
were higher up there. Also, final thing for Warped Tour.
If you're gonna gonna get on the tour, make yourself known.
Band arrested at the Gorilla set outside Warped Tour Long Beach.
You know what, that's ingenuity. They had their little set
(39:08):
up there, They played a few songs. All the people
even got an extra little concert until they got arrested.
Look at all the cop cars, by the way, is
that really necessary LAPD or Long Beach Police Department? That
many squad cars to take down these guys?
Speaker 5 (39:23):
Really ozzy osboonne fucking Rolluh geez.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
I think that's like an unmarked goodness.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
It's like they have like it's like they have like
three stars in GTA.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
And a helicopter. Get out here. You don't, Oh my god, goodness.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
For a like a three piece band were they actively
doing the rais against the machine.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
How I could just kill a man lyrics?
Speaker 1 (39:53):
I don't think so, okay, us take it out of here,
all right. If you were at Warp Tour, let us
know in the comments what you thought. I do want
to know because I was at the DC one. I
want to know what people thought of the Long Beach one.
I like, we all have friends that were there, like
industry friends, fans, whatever it might be.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Anyway ahead, it would be.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
So cool be like, oh yeah, I got a helicopter call.
A police helicopter called on me.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
I will say this, If that's how you get that's
a better way to get noticed. And that's a misdemeanor
of best. Also, they could probably get a talk down
to just a fine. Considering that's a little bit of overkill.
For the reaction from the police from Long Beach Lawyer
is probably gonna be like, I think you went a
little overboard with these boys this one.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
Honestly, these guys are gonna put all of this in
their ePK and labels are gonna.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Be like, oh oh, their next album cover is gonna
be like the singer getting like shelved into a police car.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
The mugshots, warped tour mugshots.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
Yeah, the mugshot like album cover.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
How many they're all like this?
Speaker 1 (40:55):
The big thumbs up. Anyway, we move on finding another
different type of system, and this is one I am
totally behind. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are the
next man who completely abandoned Spotify. I say, I haven't
talked really to Alex and Rowan about this. They're not
off every other streaming service. They're just saying screw you, Spotify,
(41:16):
and I am all aboard that. I've been on team
Title for the last two years. Title is better, It's
more organized, it has all the same features spotifyes. For
those who don't know, Daniel Eck is not a good person,
and instead of investing all that money into paying the
artists more, which Spotify does not do a good job
of at all, he keeps saying RC to make more music,
(41:38):
to pick it more payouts, that's his famous quote. Meanwhile,
he famously does not get a salary.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
He just works.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
Would you like to know how much money he made
this past year just selling shares over Spotify like his
own shares. Okay, we're playing prices right, rules, you guys
know I like this game, Alex. How much money do
you think dani Eck made last year just from selling
stocks a lot? And keep in mind he does not
get a salary. He just works for his company for free.
(42:08):
So guess how much money he made just selling stocks
of his own of this company he has?
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Just guess? Oh, I don't know, million, okay.
Speaker 4 (42:19):
Rowan, I'm gonna say two hundred million.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Okay, those are very fair guesses. I cannot fault either
of them. Rowan wins, did.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
I could you even say I win? I was like,
I was barely half.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Wow, that's disgusting.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Also, they had to add this too, just as at
total compensations as chairman and CEO, which included salary and others.
So this is AI overview. I don't buy that as much.
But all the other things like this over three hundred
million just from stair shares alone, which is the equal
to gaining one hundred and fifteen billion streams.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
I just got my gosh.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
I just gotta say, like one thing, like if I
had literally three hundred million dollars at my disposal.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
In a year, would Yeah, that's that's not even that worth.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
That's just one year.
Speaker 4 (43:11):
That's you know that's not even style the money he
made beforehand.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
If I if I made three hundred million dollars in
one year, I would be like, Okay, I don't have
to do literally anything else for the rest of my life.
I don't have to answer to anybody. I can just
I can literally just go on a heatedistic bendor for
the rest of my life and I would probably still
be rich at.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
The end of it.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
You wouldn't go out of it.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
I would just retire.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
You wouldn't have invested the AI killing drones because that's
what he's doing right now. That's not a.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
GMO and blow out my money on casino.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Probably.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Yeah, at least then you're not trying to get anyone hurt.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
I just want to chill on a beach.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
What's wrong with you? Guys?
Speaker 2 (43:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (43:48):
I agree And at PSA to those unaware Spotify CEO
Daniel Ack invests millions in AI military drone technology. We
just removed our music for the platform. Can we put
pressure on these Doctor Evil Tech pros to do better?
You want us on another platform? First of all, Doctor
Evil Tech Bros. Is a great term, well done, well
done with a description number two. He kind of does
(44:08):
look like Daniel, Like does kind of look like Doctor
Evil now that.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
I think about it.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Number three the guy. The guy makes so much money
in one year, but he's telling all these bands and
artists that are struggling every day, Well, you just need
to work harder and make more music for me.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Get out of here. No, no, yeah, like, I work harder,
I know, right.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
So I'm from the bottom of my heart. If you've
ever wanted to give a chance to another streaming service,
I say, I'm not paid to say this. By the way,
don't think I'm getting ad revenue or this title is great.
The sound quality is better, and it has all the
same features and you can import your playlists from Spotify
if you want to do it that way. They have
all the other like curated daily playlists. They have all
the music you can imagine and more. It's worth trying,
(44:54):
and you get a free trial anyway.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
Now, I'm going to be the ninety year old grandma
in here and say buy CDs too.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
That's also absolutely I pre order vitals for the bands
I love.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
I still do that too.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
I'm just saying, if you want to do streaming and like, I, okay,
this sucks to say Amazon makes enough money. But if
you're already paying for Amazon Prime, just just use Amazon Music. Okay,
if you're already paying for it, just do that. That's
there you go.
Speaker 4 (45:22):
I've been like kind of about that thing.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
I'm been trying to like buy CDs for albums that
I really like a lot more. And also I'm thinking
about getting start calling starting to collect vinyl. That's like,
it's like the same thing when it comes to like
video games on Steam or just online, like the fact
that there is like some the fact that like just
even on a lark, the companies who make these games
or make these products can just take them away, and
(45:44):
like I would just not be able to access these
things anymore. It's like you're kind of reminded you don't
own this or something, or like even if you even
if like on paper you own this, this could be
easily taken away just by deleting some code.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
Yeah accident, yeah too.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
So yes, where.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
It's like so if it's like if it's a piece
in media that I especially love, and if physical versions
of that media is available, I will I will splurge
to to grab it totally. Yeah, Like Lex Luthor, especially that.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
He's giving Lex Luthor and uh like Lex Luthor young
Doctor Evil vibes absolutely, especially in the Tucks.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Or Evil. Why do you feel bad for Doctor Evil? Boys?
Speaker 1 (46:31):
That saying something.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
By the way, actual.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
Doctor Evil was fun. Everybody went on Jerry.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Springer and Doctor Evil did get some laughs out of us.
That's very true.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
So he went straight in the end. He's fine.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
The first time I ever watched a Jerry Springers like
part in those movies, I was like on the floor rolling.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
And that's fine. See Daniel, if he went on Jerry,
I know the show's not around anymore.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Man.
Speaker 1 (46:56):
Does anyone else get the vibe? Also, something's really bad,
it's gonna end up. Happened to a guy like this
the route he's going investing in AI.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
In New York.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
No, no, but that also just happened to another CEO
got shot and killed.
Speaker 4 (47:11):
That's what I'm That's what I'm referring to. Remember, I
works in real est.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
You do, I know?
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yeah, for those not aware the New York shooting that happened. Yeah,
it turns out another CEO, which CEO, was shot and killed.
So so yeah, that's happening. Anyway, back to our Positive
Fun Time podcast, We're going.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Back to things on fire. But it's fine.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Yes, we're going back to Vegas.
Speaker 5 (47:32):
Now.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
One thing I think is pretty cool, but it's a rumor.
The other thing that's confirmed not so cool. Not so cool.
The first thing that's a rumor that I think is
going to happen Metallica might be heading to the Sphere
for a residency. And you know what, I think that's
pretty awesome. That's a great idea. I hope they contribute
some of the ticket money to charity because those tickets
are going to be insanely inspensive. But that's a once
(47:57):
in a lifetime show. Whatever residency they do, that'll be worth.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
It to go to. We get confirmation today or is
it still just a rumor.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Still just a rumor, but the fact, like Metallica, rumors
usually have some weight to them, and this is something yeah,
and this will be for twenty twenty six. This is
something I can actually see happening.
Speaker 3 (48:16):
You know, if there was a metal band to play
in the Sphere, it would be Metallica because, like, arguably
they are the most commercially successful metal band and they're
probably the most recognizable metal band.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
I mean, if they could do the theater like the movie
did Through the Never and stuff like that years ago.
They can make custom visuals for the sphere in six
months or a year and make it pretty awesome.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
It would be so fun. You guys got to fly out.
It's only a couple hours drive for me Vegas.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
I pick it out to that one.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
I would.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
However, I don't want.
Speaker 4 (48:47):
To do experience Lasson I went to Vegas.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
That's fine, but we will give you a good, better
Vegas experience then. I'm just saying it would be I
would go if I could. I just hope I don't
have to, like, you know, put the equivalent of a
down payment on a car into going for a ticket,
you know, because I don't know if review tickets and
photo passes are going to be as easy to come
by for something like this. However, we will keep you
(49:12):
up to date on this. We will find out the
other thing in Vegas that's tak it forbes, the other
thing in Vegas that's happening that is confirmed. Hey, remember
how over the past six months to the year, we
keep making fun about how Kiss isn't retiring and we
keep making jokes about it. Yeah, for those listening, long
(49:38):
go and for those listening, I'm going to try to
describe the image from the website Kiss Cruise landlocked in Vegas.
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Think of it like you're treating it like a cruise,
but you're really.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
In a hotel in Vegas. The Kiss Cruise in Vegas landlocked.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
This is on.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
Everything has to be a gimmick, not everything you heard
of kiss though, That's what I'm saying. This is gimmicky
on for the sake of gimmick. At this point, this
is like Gene Simmons. You have to be stopped. So yeah,
I mean, like, uh.
Speaker 4 (50:20):
It's just like why why call it Kiss cruise? You're hotel.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
I was gonna say, just say you're performing in Vegas
and you people will still come to see you.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
I was just gonna say, do something like a casino theme.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
If you have to, like the Vegas like Kiss Cruise,
I know, you do the kiss.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
Like a little they've had like the slot Machine, and
it's like.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
Yeah, and they used to have their Kiss Cruise, but
it was an actual cruise. You don't have to call
this a cruise. It's it's in the deserts.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
You gotta have the alliteration and kiss casino doesn't flow
as easily as Kiss Cruise does.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
So it flows and it flows well enough. Kiss Craft
coming to Vegas. There, there you go. They have the
limited packages available. Okay, how fast can we do this?
I'm gonna click on this book now, button hoo boy.
That has them line up everything. Three nights in a hotel. God,
(51:18):
I'm going to it. I don't ultimate.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
Oh my god, sixteen certain it's thirty one hundred per person.
Speaker 4 (51:29):
Screw you, screw you.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
Oh I much.
Speaker 1 (51:35):
I hope that listening. Do come to YouTube at least
just to check out our reaction. By the way, that
thirty one hundred per person. You see what I'm highlighting
right now? It's sold out, sold Yes, so there are.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Some kiss fans.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Do Kiss fans have that much drug money they have
to launder that quickly?
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Yes, most of them are a lot older than us.
Speaker 5 (52:02):
Man.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
The signature package for twelve hundred, that's a steal. You
have to do at least two people the Signature Experience package. Okay,
the Ultimate Experience be closest to the stage with seats
in the Covenant Gold circle. So the thirty one hundred
dollars people don't even get to be in the closest ones.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
The ultimate experience.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
Definitely. Probably it probably costs like five grand I don't
know why they're not showing the price for that one,
but I.
Speaker 4 (52:26):
Had to guess.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
They probably get to be their roadies for the day.
They have to well done.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Yes, Oh, and EA's like if there's only four of them,
like the for each band member.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
No, I want to be the roady for Paul. No,
I want to be the roady for Paul.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
That type of thing.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
I want to say, Like someone in the chat said,
Kiss Casino would have been a better name.
Speaker 4 (52:47):
Good on you, sir.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
That is so you should.
Speaker 2 (52:49):
I just think that, Yeah, that's that's that's what Alex said, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (52:53):
Kissin Yeah, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
I was gonna say, like I was talking like that.
Alliteration works fine, and it would have fit with Vegas.
And this just seems the logo itself seems lame. It's like, look,
it's a boat in the middle of Vegas.
Speaker 3 (53:08):
Wacky, right o, patronizing.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
Look you can see the Sphere in the background. Okay
you sure?
Speaker 1 (53:15):
Oh half the lightning bolts. Yeah, oh, Kiss would come
back for the Sphere if they offered it.
Speaker 2 (53:20):
They would come back out of retirement. They don't care.
Speaker 4 (53:23):
So is Kiss really at that stage now where they're
just in a residency in Vegas and you just see
like these old fat man trying to reclaim the days
of their twenties that was.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
Ten years ago. I also want to say, this is
a three night cruise. Everyone listening. I did the biggest
finger quotes for that three nights for thirty one hundred
per person.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
I mean, that's like a grand a night.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
And that's not even and that's not including food, that's
not including travel and how to get there.
Speaker 4 (53:55):
That doesn't even include the hotels, does it.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
That's the hotel. Yes, so that does include the hotel.
That is ok But even so Kiss unmasked electric set.
So everyone's saying they're just doing unmasked acoustic sets.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
No they are not.
Speaker 1 (54:09):
So okay, all right, everyone feel good. Everyone feel good
about themselves now that they're not spending.
Speaker 3 (54:17):
This morning Life just said he was forty nine hundred
for the Ultimate Experience Package.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
My god, forty nine hundred per person and it's sold outs.
I don't know how many were available, but maybe we
should go to Vegas for that and just try to like,
you know, rub elbows with just like hey, we know
you got money to invest. We're a much better investment
than whatever this is going to be. I promise.
Speaker 5 (54:42):
Oh, I thought you were like trying to get us
involved in like what are we gonna do the podcast
that rocked on the Kiss Crew.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
No, No, I'm talking to like the people that spent
this type of money on something like this. Those are
the people we want to like make friends with, right Yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
Icy Icee Sugar Daddy thing going on.
Speaker 1 (54:58):
If they're spending five grand per ticket for this, you
better believe we could get some funds out of them.
Come on now, so before we yeah, let me get
this here before we go to a few other things.
I know we're gonna be running because we started a
few minutes late. There was just a lot of stuff
to cover. First up, we gotta go to our album
(55:19):
versus album. Last week we started a new theories where
we talked about album versus album, just a quick debate,
think rock coliseum style, but just once, just once a week,
album versus album. When we did it to a tribute
to Ozzie. Last week we did Black Sabbath versus Paranoid.
I put it on the community tab the live stream.
Last week voted for Paranoid. Well, the community tab had
four point three thousand votes and it was Paranoid by
(55:42):
a landslide.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
Is that kind of what we expected?
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Kind of yeah, because I mean like even people who
are not crazy and too Sabbath, those are like all
the that's the big three on sure.
Speaker 5 (55:56):
So that's definitely a more commercially known absolutely.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
So that being said, we need to make a new poll.
And I remember we were talking about this in chat.
We're going to continue the Ozzie theme just for one
more week. These are the azzy albums and we're not
doing Blizzard of Oz because that would be unfair, too easy. Yes,
so which ones are we doing? Off the top of
my head, it's No More Tears.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
Versus Diary of a Madman. Diary of a mad Man?
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (56:26):
So everyone in the chat, which Ozzie album do you prefer?
You can vote right now. Myself, I'll go first. I
would say No More Tears just because it was the
more dynamic side of Ozzy and it like it showed
more range that he was continuing to grow at evolve
on his own as well. That showed a lot more
(56:47):
of that. It was not Blizzard of Oz. But at
the same time it was so much strong stuff and
some of the collaborations and guitar work behind Ozzy as
well was killer.
Speaker 2 (56:56):
So that's just me, Alex.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
How about you?
Speaker 5 (57:00):
I agree No More Tears over the other one, because honestly,
the main reason is because I can't get over the
groove in No More Tears, the single. That song just
hooks me in every single time.
Speaker 4 (57:11):
Yeah, that basis that baseline. It goes so hard.
Speaker 5 (57:14):
Yeah, yeah, it's so good. And then when you have
Mama I'm Coming Home to kind of contrast that. Hell, yeah,
I love that album.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
I was gonna say before Rowing gets you. So next
year when they have Back to the Beginning in theaters,
can you imagine how many people are gonna be crying
now at MoMA I'm Coming Home.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Whene, I still get choked up right now.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
Well, think about the theaters when everyone sees him again
and then he's saying about like and you know he's
about to die.
Speaker 4 (57:37):
It's like, I don't you know. I was like, I
don't even cry like all that much, and I'll probably be.
Speaker 3 (57:45):
This.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
All of this is waterproof, and I'm thankful.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
You dont have Thompson's water seal when you see that
in January, We'll just do some clear coat. Yeah, like
pet like the fence, spray deck ceilings, just get that
for you row and how Yeah.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
First of all, I just imagine you start crying then
you just take a frankly.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
But no, yeah, for me too, it's gonna be no
more tears because of like all the points you guys made.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
But also at the same.
Speaker 3 (58:14):
Time too, it's also like I just also have like
more no soldier for that album specifically, that was one
of the first times I was like, that was one
of the first albums where it's like I listened to
the full album, not just her hits off of it,
And again it just feels like I just feel like Ozzie.
It's just like has more range. He just has like
more kind of like uh more style. He just kind
of experienced more styles and like stuff than compare to
(58:36):
Diary of band Man.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Not to say that albums isn't great, but I just like, yeah,
I just know where tears more. I think that's very fair. Well,
let's look at the chat right now. I think that's
a good amount of votes. I'll leave it on you
know what, I'll leave it up for a little more
just in case, while we talk about other stuff as well.
If you're listening, it'll be on the community tab. This
pooll will be a separate one and then we'll give
it the for results next week and we'll continue this
(58:56):
on let us know what you think of the comments,
which one Diary of a Bad Man or No More Tears.
So that being said, we're now going to talk about
upcoming albums and tours and the song of the week
albums tours. A lot of stuff got announced this week.
A lot what tours are we look at that this week?
That got announced?
Speaker 2 (59:14):
Alex Oh almost forgot that was my job.
Speaker 5 (59:20):
Bullet for my Valentine announced some Australian dates for the
Poison twentieth anniversary tour with Trivium.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Okay, pretty good.
Speaker 2 (59:28):
Huh yeah, yeah, that's good. It's good.
Speaker 5 (59:30):
Seven Dust announced an intimate acoustic tour celebrating twenty one
years of Southside Double Wide. So that's gonna be really fun.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
Not coming near me, that sucks, go out, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 5 (59:40):
Seven Dust is fantastic live. I think this acoustic tour
will be really rad. And then Deftones announced Dia Delos
Deftones twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (59:50):
I'd go to that if I could got a.
Speaker 5 (59:52):
Gear up for that one. Don Broco announced some tour
dates for twenty twenty six. Robert Plant announced a couple
of twenty twenty five tour dates or his band.
Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
I don't think so, I don't know. It's Saving Grace, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
and that's all I have.
Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
Dave dis Dale with Deaftones day of Deaft Tones. They
always do a great part job in San Diego. That's
where it's right at peck Coo Park. I think that's
where are you asking me? I no, it's okay. I
was confirming it's pet Co Park. I believe in San
Diego they always do a great job with a one
day festival there that ends with Deaftnes.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Yeah, I would go to that. I believe Death Heaven's
going to be there this year too. Yep, steph Heaven
nasty or sorry we go nasty and you call me no.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
So thank you very much, Rowan. What albums do we
have coming out on August first? And wow it's August finally.
Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
Yeah. First, I will say it's not no crazy big
names this week, but we have some solid names that's
a lot of First of all, what I want to
get it out.
Speaker 4 (01:00:55):
Of the way because I enjoy them kind of personally.
Suicide Boys are coming with Thy Kingdom com so you know,
nice like wrap duo, kind of like a loud.
Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
I know the name, Like I'm unfamiliar with the music really,
but I know the name.
Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
But besides that, we actually have a lot of metalcore
coming out this Friday. So first of all, we have
Accused with Dealers of Doom. They are a German metalcore
band and this is their sophomore album. I listened to
their first one back.
Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
When that first came out back in twenty twenty one,
but I haven't really kind of come back to it
like since then. But you know, once I kind of
like read about this and do my research, I kind
of like I went back to some of the songs
I remember liking, and again there's still sold, so definitely
looking out for that one. We also have Call of
Karen with Tales of Tragedy. They are another metal core
death core band. They've been around a lot longer, much
(01:01:45):
longer than Accused, and honestly again just like very solid stuff.
And then finally this is this is arguably the biggest
name Fit for a King with Lonely God really like
fit for a King. I seriously like, again, if you
guys are into metal core, I e me, just just
a lot to look out for, just a lot to
be excited about it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:03):
And so yeah, no, I just got a lot to
be excited about it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
And also I don't know if accounts because it was today,
but Dying Wish released a new song too, and honestly
it's solid so far.
Speaker 4 (01:02:15):
Oh yay you brought it up.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Our song of the week chosen by Luke not Rowan
is dying, which is I Know You're not around from
their updating album that also got announce today, Flesh Stays
Together out this September. Yeah, we did not talk this
was Yeah, we did not talk about this, but yeah,
it's just perfect timing Dying Wish release.
Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Oh yeah, so dude.
Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
I saw Dying Whish open for Spiritbox back in April
and I immediately became a fan. They like Spearbox even
brought the singer for that band out for to help
a sauce. Fine. I really enjoyed that show. They put
on a great show, and I liked a new song.
So yeah, no, Dying Wish given the try too. I'm
sorry if I took the words out of your mouth.
Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
There, No, it makes makes my job easier.
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Dying Wish also going to be on tour with Poppy
this fall, which will be really cool to see. Song
will be pinned in the pin Comma with all the
other stuff as well. Thank you guys for sharing that
stuff out. Let's get moving. I know we have most
of the hits.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
I think I did misspeak.
Speaker 5 (01:03:07):
My notes right here say bullet for my Valentine without trivium,
but I think my mouth said with trivium.
Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
That's yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:03:13):
I was when I heard it, but I didn't want
to interrupt you.
Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
I wasn't like, I was, yeah, well they're sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
They've toured like twenty times together, so I believed it
when I heard it, So I did.
Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
I didn't know if there was like contract thing.
Speaker 5 (01:03:26):
Yeah, I read it wrong. It says right here on
my notes without but my mouth said with. So I apologize.
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
That's fine.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Well, yeah, someone's listening to the time viewers. I like
the idea someone like went and bought tickets right away.
If you heard that, I was like, oh, by the way,
it's not trivia.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
But I already clicked. Oh sorry, it's.
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
Like I bought their Ticketmaster.
Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
I can't resell.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
Oh yeah, not through Ticketmaster. Uh uh so, thank you
all so much for the super chat as well. We
did hit our like goal. We will have at least
two rounds of festival rocker flo. Let's get the super
chats quickly. From Ellie Yeat, why did the chicken join
the band? Because he had the drumsticks?
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Also because he had Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Where did the music teacher leave his keys?
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
The piano? You're getting a lot, you're getting.
Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
You're striking out, which what makes what makes pirates such
good singers.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
They can hit the high seas. Ooh you just got scurvy.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Now you didn't get own you got scurvy. Oh I'll rowan.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
You missed two more dad jokes in that super chat.
Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
Oh great, you don't have to tell him Now I
gotta start over.
Speaker 5 (01:04:55):
No, not.
Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
From White Asylum.
Speaker 2 (01:04:59):
Funny.
Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
If this is more expensive than Metallica, holy crap, Well
it is a three day cruise.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Man. That sounds weird, but yes.
Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
And from Zombie Berry Bullet dropped off their tour with
Trivia to work on a new album.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
That's what that was.
Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Yes, and go on into a different tour without Trivium.
Fy I, thank you Zombie. Yeah that was the tour,
the Trivium and Bullet tour where they said, screw it,
we're going home. I hope that album's worth it. I
really hope that album was worth it. Dang, I really
hope that pays off.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
All right, anything else we need to do before we
get to festival rock or flow because we got some
shows to book.
Speaker 4 (01:05:37):
Are we done with the dad jokes?
Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Tell Alex is a.
Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Little segment Alex shows how it's done. Yes, yeah, all right, Alex.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
Alex is a professional dad joke like.
Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
I mean, I mean, she went to grad school for it,
so yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it was. So
she got a doctor in jokes the D that the
PhD and the D stands for dad.
Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
So here we go.
Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
Every week we try to book some festivals and whether
we call festival rock or flop. We had our light
gol which means we're going to book four random bands
pulled out of a big thing and see if we
get something good. And I did put kids Pop in there.
I doubt we'll get it. I'm just saying for the future,
it could happen.
Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
So there is a guy he had a great chance
to be funny right now.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Yes he does.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
But you know what, so here we go.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
We have a few festivals. What's our festival name? Going
to be our own scurvy Fest.
Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
That's fine with me. You know what, because of the
kiss will they be better than kiss Cruise. That's our
goal for scurvy Fest. Okay, we just call it, or
what if we just call it kiss Casino? It doesn't
matter kisses or no. I don't know if we want
all kisses in this now that's really gonna be bad
because kiss is in the fold. So all right, you
know what, scurvy Fest, we're a to be better than
(01:07:01):
kiss Cruise.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Here we go, Bam band.
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Number one Corn, I already like our odds.
Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
I already like our odds. I'm gonna be honest.
Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
Number two Nickelback, Boy, we have a budget for this
this show. I'll say this, Corn and Nickelback. Number three
Periphery boy, do they they're they're better with cord that
periphery and Nickelback don't exactly stick well together.
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
But Corner Periphery I'm fined with. And number four Shine Down.
This has a big budget. This has a big budget. Yeah,
I go.
Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
I only go to even if I'm not a fan Nickelback.
I'm going to a show like this, Guys, come on
skurvy Fest. Also, I would travel for something like this.
I drive out of my way a bit. I'm not
going to kiss Fest. Scurvy Fest not bad. In the chat,
would you go to scurvy Fest?
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:07:52):
Or no?
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Alex, you'd go?
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
I would go.
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Yeah. Nickelback gets so much hate, but they're actually really
good life.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
I've heard that to you.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
I've never seen them live, and I have heard that
row and how about you?
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Yeah, I would go too. It's like the same thing
with Alex. Like I know, like I'm not the biggest
it Nickelback fan, but I I like some songs.
Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Yeah, you can sing along and have fun. It's all good. Yeah,
you know what I see? Yes, I see a lot
of groups.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
Honestly this works pretty well.
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
This is a lot more mainstream that I thought would
be too periphery is only one that's the out one
out up for the mainstream style you know what would
be like.
Speaker 4 (01:08:26):
A nice little opener.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
I agree, Yeah, there we go, Yes for Scurvy Well,
there you go. Very Yeah, hooray we got scurvy tickets
and finally our super chef from Ellie gets you a
random festival.
Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
Thank you very much. Yeat Fest coming up?
Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
Here we go. Band number one for yeat Fest. Where's
fest gonna be? Where Cleveland's too big? Toledo, Ohio? Yes,
I'm gonna get one big. Yes, that's exactly what it is.
(01:09:05):
Man number one for yeat Fest. We got alter Bridge.
That's pretty good. Number two the warning, I'm like we
might have had. I think we did have them last week,
so we need to skip.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
I do remember that.
Speaker 5 (01:09:22):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:09:23):
Still we got alter Bridge. Number two, Steel Panther. That's
a bit of a downgrade. I'm gonna be honest, it's
it's very different from the warning.
Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
Just the time never happened. Can we just switch.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
Number three?
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Asking out Sandria? Oh boy?
Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Yet Festus is starting to struggle a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Number four Stone Sewer, Yes, I would, Yes, I would
go aster Risk. I'm not saying I would enjoy the
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Yeah? I might skip this one. Honestly, Stone Sour is
like the strongest contender for me. It's just but it's
not like it's it's not I'm not as into them
enough that I could put up with everything else.
Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
I at least understand that as well, because I think
alter Bridge is fantastic live and Stone Sour hasn't been
done anything alive in quite a while. But they're pretty
much done. Yeah, that's why, like they have No they're
not getting back anytime soon if ever. But from what
I understand, but also wading through Steel Panther and then
(01:10:40):
asking Alexandria, now that we know what asking Alexandria live,
is you really gotta won it, Alex, alex.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
You're you're saying no, make it okay?
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
So Ellie says yes, but skipping asking Alexandria Storry Sotne Sour,
I am skipping this.
Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
Oh brother, well.
Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
I'm sorry, but.
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
No, Yes, game over.
Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
I would go off asking Alexander was opening, but overall
you I would think Steel.
Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Panther, which you would not be open.
Speaker 1 (01:11:12):
Yeah, I don't know. This didn't look a great guys.
I think I think he Fest may not be able
to pull a profit in Toledo, Ohio.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Unfortunately, sorry to.
Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
Toledo, finally had a chance to do something big and
they didn't work out.
Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
It just did not work out. That's a bummer.
Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
Huh. So is there anything else we need to cover
before we get going with everything else? Anything from Alex.
Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
I'm good? Thank you Rowan, how about you?
Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
Yeah, just a quick thing.
Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
My buddies and I we actually did cover of Breaking
Benjamin's blow Me Away, one of the best songs out
of the two thousands in my opinion. You cannot change
my mind. Here's the link right now if you guys
want to go check it out. Support my buddy Paul
and my friend's shocked too. He did guitar. We're all
in a band together, and yeah, no, seriously, like it
was a lot of fun. It's a great song to
play too live. So it's like, uh yeah, m some
(01:12:13):
love love that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
You heard the version with the female singer, Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
Yeah, yeah, it's I like that too.
Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
We want to do a cover specifically of that version
cause like our singer, Yeah, that's like a lot more
of his singing style.
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
So yeah, very nice.
Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
That would be rad.
Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
That links in chat. I'll try to pin it to
the pin comet as well. Thank you all very much.
I'll have I'm working with another YouTuber again.
Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
I'm chronically of it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
Quiet a little bit until after it happens recorded, so
I can make sure I guarantee something to talk about
more of the slaughter to prevail situation. And I don't
mean just the drum text stuff. I'm just being the
overall situation of this is another band that's known for
the everything else besides the music, to put it politely,
So I think that's about it again. If you want
(01:12:58):
to enter the ride Fest contest the short we pinned
if how for rules?
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
How to do that?
Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
Please enter?
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
It's free.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
You can get to go to ride Fest for free,
three day festival headlined by Green Day and Blink twenty
two and Weezer and Jack White, and it'll have weird
al doing weird stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
That's about it. Alex.
Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Last week you had a knockout home run of a
dad joke that got both of us a last dad.
Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
Yes, you got the best one. So pressures on. What
do you have this week?
Speaker 7 (01:13:26):
I will say it cannot be worse than Ellie's dad joke. Well,
I'll take a horrible elly all right, you guys ready, Yes, okay.
Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
It's a five minute walk from my house to the pub,
and it's a thirty five minute walk from the pub
to my house. Difference is staggering?
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Good one? Wait a minute, rowan laugh?
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
Did you like a sound effect left that we.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Were in Birmingham this morning. We're gonna walk to the
pub and then take a really long time back. Thirty
five minutes of staggering thirty five it's a it's a
bop in pouch. Okay, are you that's drunk?
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
Were you like rolling around for a while, just like
rolling on the concrete, You are like army crawling back.
Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
I see all the streets look the same, and you
get lost, you get turned around. It's it's just just
a wild ride.
Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
Well, the first ten minutes I was walking in the
wrong direction, so then I had to double back. And
that's another ten minutes. It happened, Okay, I.
Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
Walked into someone else's house and then, like you're thinking
it was mine, they started screaming in the concert, called
the cops.
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
They were really Yeah, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
Only happened once. It's fine, only one time.
Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
I see peppers, I see tomatoes. No one else is
really throwing anything, so at least there's that. I don't
some one said I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
Ooh that's rough. Watch it again and then come back.
It's fine, it's all yes, it's all yes.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Oh well that's avocados and bats.
Speaker 3 (01:15:13):

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
