Speaker 1 (00:03):
What we do the thing by pushing the button.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah yeah, Hello everybody, and welcome to the Podcuts podcast,
as we do every Monday night, ten fifteen Eastern Standard
time from your local NEPA.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Where it is, of course, I'm Tony Kass Kevin Narray.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Here.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Of course we have the Dreamer of Dreams, the Drawer,
the drawer Uer, the discotheche, Les Barker, s.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Barkie wearing the dead glasses today saying Hi there, and
the big board Sparky will be drawing what we're talking about.
But more importantly, this is going to be a three
way talking podcast. Today we are going to recap and
(01:00):
grade the NFL Draft, just for everybody's sake of how
grades work.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Okay, now it's not necessarily even just the draft. I mean,
you know, we have other talking points beyond the draft plenty,
but we'll get the draft out of the way.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
How grades work.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
An A plus you did amazing, awesome, great job. Couldn't
have done better in that position. F minus your fucking
terrible franchise. Holy crap, what happened? That leaves us to
the letter C average draft. A letter C grade is
an average average is still good. Anything below A C
(01:47):
is bad above U, SEA is good. C is the
middle ground. Can't stress that enough. People seem to be
insulted if their team is not getting a B or
a B plus or an A plus. And it's sickening
how the mentality is when they hear a letter grade.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
And attach emotion to it.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
But let's really get into it there, Tony, I don't
know which way you want to start alphabetically. Maybe you
want to just go down the line. You're gonna go
Arizona first, you want to go Tennessee first. Let's have
Sparky decide, Sparky, what team should we start with from
the top of the draft down?
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Something that makes sense?
Speaker 5 (02:32):
For the love of God, start that way, top, Just
start down.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Okay, we're going from Arizona on our way down.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Okay, now, well.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
Open up the draft that way, Tony. Not not alphabetical orders.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Not alphabetical.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Tennessee Titans, right, Sparky, Tennessee Titans. There we go, Great, Sparky,
how's your volume? Can you hear over there?
Speaker 5 (03:02):
All? Good?
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Okay? Great?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
So the Tennessee Titans through they had they had a
bunch of picks. Okay, the Tennessee Titans picked Cam Ward.
That's a pretty good pick. I'm liking it. You need
a quarterback. You deemed Will Levis incompetent. You didn't get
Mason Rudolph anything good. Whatever they end up getting cam
Ward and Ola Djo out of U C l A
(03:31):
U c l A Edge, I'm never impressed with. I'm sorry,
Kevin Winston junior underrated safety Dyke out of Florida wide
receiver and kind of okay ish Uh, gunner Helm, nice
tight end.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
You're gonna need him, not bad, not bad.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
And by the way, gunner Helm in the fourth and
then Eric Laman or uh not Laman Or, Jackson, Slater,
Harris and Mullings. So this is how I kind of grate.
Fifth round, sixth round, seventh round. Who the fuck cares.
If they're terrible, I'm not holding it against you. If
they're great, I'm gonna give you a little bump if
(04:17):
I feel like you're reaching in the first round, you know,
and I mean a hard reach.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I'm not that crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Uh, second round, if you got a good deal, you're
gonna get a little bump. You know, there's more bumps
than anything you're only getting. Uh, you know, I'll go over,
but I am giving the Tennessee Titans. Okay, so cam
Ward obvious, you got an A for that. That's a
good A right, not an A plus, but an A.
You have the best quarterback there as you should have
(04:47):
because you got the first pick. Oladejo C minus. What
are you doing in UCLA? They were not known for
their defense, so don't take their defensive players. E Sparky.
I think Spark's got his overall overall B. I'm gonna
(05:07):
give them an overall B as well.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Tony, I will also go with a B.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
And you know it could have leaned. I could have
leaned into a B plus. There no problem. Okay, so
B to a B plus in that area, not too
not too shabby. We can move on, or Tony, you
can have some comments. Sparky, you can comment. What's going on?
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Guy?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I think Kevin Winston is a a decent pick from
Penn State and uh, I think that he will do
well in safety.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
For Tennessee.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
I think he'll do well. Yeah, he listened. Penn State's
known for their defense. Winston played great.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
The h.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
L A man Or out of Stanford. That's A.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
That's A. That's a sneaky good pick. That is a
very sneaky good pick right there. A value pick in
the fifth round, I'm sorry, in the fourth round. Thirty
fourth pick in the fourth round. Yeah yeah, yeah, one
thirty six, so sparky.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Any comments on that or.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
No, they should have gotten more offensive line help.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
You know, I agree, I really do more help on
the the there. Now, if you look at their offensive lineman,
they still have Latham. Latham's good. He just got drafted
there man outside tackle. They did pick up Jackson Slater
out of Sacramento State, so they kind of gave a
fuck about it, but not too hard. But that's your
(06:40):
only criticism. No, no offensive line help?
Speaker 5 (06:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They should have gotten a little
bit better on the line, because you got you have
to protect the quarterback first of all. In Levis got
destroyed last year.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Uh And by the way, Levis when he didn't get destroyed,
he really ran and the shit out of the ball
he ran.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
He did great.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
If you check out his highlights when it came to
a running out, of course he was and he was
doing okay in it. Okay, moving up, moving on and
moving onward and moving up, moving up in the draft.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, shocking everybody moving up in the draft,
trading with the Browns because the Browns don't know what
(07:26):
to do with the tap it in.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Just just tap it in. Just take the best player
in the draft, Travis O. What are you guys doing?
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (07:43):
The Jacksonville Jaguars take Travis Hunter second overall, the cheat
code for every NFL team. For anyone that says you
overpaid for him, it doesn't matter if you think you
overpaid for him. You don't overpay for people that could
get you potentially into a Super Bowl or a playoff spot.
(08:07):
You don't overpay for anybody. Hey, the Rams overpaid for
Matt Stafford. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They were too they
were too nice to Tom Brady. You see, you see
what I mean. It doesn't matter with this kind of pick,
with this kind of talent, all you got to do
is keep them well rested and ready to roll out there.
They won Travis Hunter. Caleb bridshot in the third round.
(08:32):
Another here's a good pick for you, Sparky Wyatt Milliam
out of West Virginia.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
The guard there.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
He could play guard, Yeah, he could play guard, he
could play center. He's all over the place, A better idea.
Jack Jack Kaiser on a Notre Dame leadership qualities all
over the place. I think going two running backs while
also having two running backs was a stupid idea for
the Jacksonville Jaguars. I don't know what there. I don't
(09:00):
know what their idea is behind it, but they have
to have some sort of scenario going on.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Sparky is given a B minus right now, B minus
for it. I am giving a very hard B plus
on this one. I loved the trade up. You got
the best player in the draft. Everyone else is who cares? Third,
third round, fourth round, sixth round, seventh round. I'm not
dragging them down. A plus for Travis Hunter right there,
(09:29):
Heisman Trophy winner. Play him playing twenty four hours a day,
seven days a week. The guy is a fucking terminator,
you know, only he doesn't kill people. He just plays football. Yeah,
completely robotic everything else, you know. Linebacker Sparky, the harsh grade.
Why the harsh grade?
Speaker 5 (09:47):
The two running backs they got, They got a running
game already. They could have drafted you know, any other position.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
The Tuton and Leaquinta Allen out of the draft.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Yeah, and you know a seventh round running back.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Isn't much of a hit, no, but it's it's like
a eh, why not scenario? Jack Kaiser not a bad
idea from Notre Dame. He's a little top heavy to
a degree, especially for a guy that's six foot two
to be that top heavy, like, you know, moves the
shoulders more than he moves the legs.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
That's what I mean by top heavy. Caleb Branshaw out
of TWU.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Lane in the your first okay, So they had a
back to back, so it's fine. You know, that's an
okay pick. So all of those I take from free
down as like basically C to C plus area from
an A plus area, give me a B plus. And
the Jaguars, I didn't mind it. Tony, what's your great
on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
I'm gonna say bus B minus okay, Okay, yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Mean beyond the Travis Hunter pick.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Okay, I mean that, and not to say that anybody
else beyond that. Round three, round four, round six, round seven,
I mean you're you're really grasping at.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Straws by then.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Because there weren't guys who think this.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
I don't think that this draft class was strong by
any means correct.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Yeah, well, as we as we go on and evaluation,
you're gonna see that there were some strong drafts here,
much stronger than the Jacksonville Jaguars. I give them a
B plus because I'm grading, I'm I'm I'm kind of
you know, a heavy poor when it comes to you
got Travis Hunter. Cool, you threw your balls on the line.
(11:39):
You gave Travis, You gave Trevor Lawrence his number one
or number two wide receiver, and hey, fuck it, you
got a cornerback hurt playing back there to a nickel
packages to what you're gonna.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Want to do. But I think I think we're being.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Let's see how he stacks up in the NFL too.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Not to say that Travis Hunter isn't a great echelon
you know, uh, wide receiver yet, but we'll see, We'll
see how he does and then play it from there.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Gonna go with the New York Giants next to New
York Giants, selecting third overall, they need to turn their
franchise around. It's been looking like a Depressionville. They've been
They've been doing their best impression of the Jets over
the last couple of years and it's it's been terrible
for Giants fans everywhere. This is a super Bowl winning
(12:27):
you know, multiple Super Bowl winning franchise right here, we
have with our third pick overall of Dull Carter. Then
they traded back into the first round, gave it a little
bit of a haul. That's okay, Mini Hall to to
grab up Jackson Dart. Then Darius Alexander out of Toledo.
He's not bad, but I don't know. First pick on
(12:48):
the uh, Cam Scatapoo, really nice, nice idea. I like him,
you know, Scatapoo's okay.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Surprise he went that low to be honest.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
So this is this is how I'm gonna grade it.
They got two seventh round picks here. I'm not even
grading them. I could care less. Marcus Mabo, that's a
pretty nice pick right there. B minus in the fifth round,
Cam Skataboo. Let's give them a B for bee for effort, Okay,
B for above average effort and keeping their eye on
the ball with the running game idea. Darius Alexander and Toledo, Eh,
(13:24):
you know what, Jag just a guy C C minus
whatever we're doing right there. So we're stuck in a
be Jackson Dart B plus kind of player with with
proper coaching, he can be an A minus. But I'm
sticking with the B plus one of the B plus range.
Abdul Carter, you got the best edge in the draft
A plus on that idea, so I'm sticking. I'm gonna
(13:46):
give them the same graye that spark he's looking at
right there, A minus. We are in the A minus Bill.
This is why we were so good at being judges
from music competitions throughout the years. Uh, we're just we're
all in. We're not being fake. We're not you know.
Oh fuck the Giants. I don't like them, so fuck them.
They get n F We're not like that. We're just anyways,
(14:11):
Tony's sticking with A minus and that one.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, A minus.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I feel like it's a solid, solid pickup for them.
They needed defensive and offensive line players, and they found
each and every single one of them in the draft.
So you know, to to play Jackson Dart as far
as the quarterback in the number two spot, I think
they're eventually going to get rid of fucking Danny Dime
(14:35):
a bag of donuts.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
He's been gone.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
He's no no, who's the who's the.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Tommy DeVito.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah, Tommy DeVito, that's what I'm talking about. Yeahvito needs
to just disappear off the face of the earth.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
We got a lot of picks coming up. We got
a lot of picks coming up. New England Patriots on
the clock. They had picked number four altogether, Sparky, I
want to hear what you think about this one. I
want I want your opinion first, Tony. Second, I'll go
last on this idea. Okay, any moment you could start
(15:15):
talking there, spark would be wonderful.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Eleven players in the draft, Yeah, I would.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
I would say the overall draft. You know, they picked
up a lot of players. They picked. They picked up
players that that they needed to fill in positions everywhere.
But then that was mostly their later round Grice and
then uh would they picked forth? Was it? Uh?
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Fourth with Jared Wilson from Georgia Center.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
I don't. I don't have my my draft wits with Okay.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
So here's here's here's the deal. Here's the deal. Then okay,
no big deal. Will Campbell. They want to protect Drake May.
They got Will Campbell and then Traveon Henderson put him
in the backfield with Stevenson. Great idea. Kyle Williams, like,
these are three a's in a row. Okay, three a's
in a row. Jared Wilson Center out of Georgia. Good idea,
(16:07):
the kids underrated, flies under the radar does his job
has been the center for three kids?
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Now?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Fair big yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Fourth rounders Craig Woodson, Joshua Farmer, Florida State. Uh, Farmer
was actually one of the very few bright spots on
Florida State there and then of course fifth.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Round through seventh round. Who gives a fuck?
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Nobody?
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Actually Brydon Swinston from LSU was the edge from number five.
But after that, I mean it was like nothing, yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yeah, nothing, nothing to worry about. Nothing that's gonna nobody
that can't be cut.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
I give the Patriots a solid a a performance right here.
Uh Sparky's given them a B plus because Sparky hates them.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Uh Sparky, what.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
What by they? They? They they got players, They got
players that could, They got players that they that they
can plug play, which they're gonna be players, but they're
not going to be superstars. They're they're gonna be in
the trench.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Guys, I would I would suggest you take a look
at Kyle Williams and his tape because this kid's a burner.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Okay, you have him, you have Pulk there.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Their wide receiver room is looking a little different, but
it's coming together.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Uh in my opinion, Yeah, I still think yeah, William Williams.
And Williams is good and he's gonna be an every
day you know, every day start.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
I'm just reminding you you said Williams is gonna be good,
He's gonna be an everyday starter. But you're still grading
them lower than the Giants, where Cam Scipedo might be
a third string running back.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
You know, I like Scataboo though. Gataboo Yeah, yeah, he showed,
he showed, showed a lot of heart in the ball
game that Arizona State lass. He was so dehydrated, but
he kept on going out there.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
And you know, I like my players dehydrated as as well.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
You know, but but but they think about ite going
back there.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Will Campbell had been so will Will Campbell had been
criticized because of his short arms or whatever. Uh listen,
this is uh, this is a Kelly offensive lineman. They're
always good. It doesn't you know, they're scouted the Kellys
no offensive line.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
You know.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
The one thing that the Kelly coaches both don't know
about is quarterback.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
And they think that they did quarterbacks. Yeah, yeah, they
have no idea, you know.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
They're like said, Bradford's the best. Like, dude, what what
are you fucking talking about? The man has no knees left?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Trade lashaw McCoy, the moving on, moving on. We have
the fifth pick of the draft because they traded back.
It's the Cleveland Browns and oh my god, Cleveland, Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
All right, let me just run through positions real quick, John,
are you ready, Kevin?
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Let me let me let me just do that right.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Okay, Sparky's throwing it up. He's already given them a
C minus. All right, So two quarterbacks, two running backs,
a tight end, linebacker, defensive tackle. So they traded back,
and then they did get a first rounder out of
this one, so I'm gonna give them a lean on that.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
I'm gonna give them a plus.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
The guy away with the first rounder from somebody, you're
getting a plus, no matter what, whether it be a
C plus, a B plus, whatever. Okay, so you're getting
a plus no matter what. Carson Schweisinger, U c l
A linebacker, Sparky, what do we know about U c
l A's defense. They're not good? Okay, they are not good.
(19:51):
But these guys are getting drafted, you know, like it
doesn't make any sense. Remember that kid that I was
pissed off about last year the Colts picked, you know,
and I tattoo tatoo or whatever the hell, yeah, and
I said, he's not gonna he's not gonna be any good.
Everybody attacked the hell out of me. He played two games, dude,
he played two full fucking games. The rest of them
was one quarter here, one quarter there. Nothing good, uh
(20:14):
out of U c l A. Of course, neck injury.
You can't keep lining up like that. You're up anyways.
Uh Judkins, they got Judkins. That's an a you know,
great running back. Ohio State. Can't go round with an
Ohio State running back.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
Mason Graham.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, Mason Graham defensive tackle right there from Michigan, ready
to roll. That's an a. Uh Swinson, Shwinston, I'm gonna
c minus. You gotta get fucked down that one, you know.
So we're down to a beat Harrold Fanning junior bowling
green tight end, outstanding. Okay, getting an a, so we're
back up towards the B plus area. Dylan Gabriel, Hey,
(20:51):
I wouldn't mind it if you just stuck at Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Not a bad idea, okay?
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Dylan Samson running back, Anson's good. Okay, you got two
good running backs. Now maybe you get rid of your
current running back situations and throw these two rookies in
there and just say fuck it. Keep the rookies in there,
do their thing. Uh, Chadure Sanders, So we gotta we
(21:18):
gotta get into this a little bit, gotta.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Air the dirty laundry.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Shadoor Sanders had one of the most historic drops of
falls from grace in draft history. He was projected to
go to the first round, then the bottom of the
first round, then maybe the second round, then maybe the
third round, then the third round.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Passed and said hello.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Even even he was he was promised uh top five pick.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
As of last year.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
So Colorado didn't win a bowl game or do anything
crazy significant, And mind you, Notre Dame went to a
championship game. Ohio State went to a championship game. Both
of those quarterbacks were running and throwing at the combine.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Door.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Sanders refused to do those things. Okay, so we're kind
of separating. So I'm kind of separating how different he
felt he was compared to other people that have had
success in college more than him. Okay, Kyle McCord, Syracuse quarterback,
(22:34):
comes from Ohio State, goes to Syracuse Combine. You're gonna throw? Hell, yeah,
I will, absolutely, you gonna do it. Cam Ward Philadelphia,
Correct cam Ward, Okay, cam Ward. They say, hey, you're
gonna throw. You're the number one pick though you really
don't have to. And then Chador pops and it says yeah,
(22:56):
and I'll be number two, and they're like, you're gonna
want to come to the combine.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
You know.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Colin Coward had a very nice take on the idea,
saying that Dion Sanders did his son no favors and
no justice was done towards you know, his his son
by saying, oh, you know, we're only gonna want to
play for teams that know how to develop quarterbacks. Well,
guess what, those teams don't need you at all. You
need you need the bottom tanking teams. Those are quarterback
(23:26):
needy teams. We're talking to Giants, We're talking even San Francisco.
I was thinking the Niners, the Colts, possibility of the
of the Cowboys, just to have him as a third stringer,
a second stringer the Raiders, good points, Sparky, the Raiders,
there is a backup.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Patriots.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
I mean they already have a very young quarterback at
Drake may But just anybody, anybody my Dolphins, we have Tua.
His fucking brain's falling out of his ear all the time. Yeah,
like that's some leaks going on, some good time leaks.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield could get injured. You never know,
(24:07):
Carolina Panthers. By the way, not a bad idea. You
got somebody that's taller than five ft six Okay, I'm
not you know whatever, So Bryce Young is not five
to ten by the way, there's a fucking way.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Sorry, was he wearing lifts or whatever?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah? Five five?
Speaker 3 (24:25):
I saw Joe Peshi taller than fucking you know. Then
Bryce Young.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Continue answer, continue anyways, Anyway.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
The fall from Grace was so impactful that defensive coordinator's
son from the Atlanta Falcons somehow got a hold of
Shadora Sander's cell phone.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
No, I have I have it. Father left it's tablet
old beininette and the phone numbers on it. So we
have called a couple of different players.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
That's great.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
What happened initially officially when his dad had this particular
list is the defensive coordinator for the Falcons, of course,
and he had all of the prospects numbers. Not only
not only should Dr Sanders, but he had every prospect
(25:22):
from the draft numbers in that UH in that iPad.
So not only is there a breach of confidentiality, but
you're also putting your father's possible this UH disbandment from
(25:43):
the team because you did some stupid ship and then
put it on video and then put it out on
the on the interweb.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Yeah, So potentially his dad's going to get fired or
there's a blowback from the Atlanta Falcons. So what happened
was that he told his son to publicly apologize.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
For the whole situation, which he did.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
So he is hoping that the blowback won't be as
big or swift as they think it will be.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
There's gonna be no big blowback.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
So I think that the Falcons I think that the
pranker is in more trouble than the person who got pranked,
even though, by the way, very very hilarious, very funny.
You call up the kid you said he was getting drafted,
he bit into it.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
It's Bloomberg from the from the Saints. I think we're
gonna take you next that. Now you're gonna have to wait.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
That prank.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
That prank was legendary, if you if you catch very legendary,
very legendary.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Yeah, hence why he had everything labeled from top to
bottom legendary.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
This fall from first round projection to fifth round reality,
that was also legendary. My, that's what legends are made of. Hey,
did you hear about the legend of Shador Sanders, the
man who targets Travis Hunter eighty percent of the time,
only Travis Hunter. Do you think anyone can do that?
(27:34):
Is this a talented quarterback or is it a Because
when Travis Hunter was taken out by injury Jackson state
he's injured, Shador shrunk down to reality where he became
an only running quarterback short passed this screen passes. Somehow
his vision was completely gone. And this happens with some
(27:54):
quarterbacks okay, cool askew a little ascue. It does. It
does happen with some quarter backs where I'll give you
an example. As a quarterback ages like an Aaron Rodgers.
They're like, Aaron, we need you to put on the
Superman cape again. He's like, okay, I'll need a couple
of things.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Now.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
They're like, oh really, what could you possibly need? I
need Baldi Scantling? What?
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Okay? What else is that?
Speaker 1 (28:23):
It?
Speaker 4 (28:24):
DeVante Adams? I need him? Okay, Well, it sounds like
you're just damn packers players.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
No no, no, no no. But while we're at it,
bring me Nathaniel Hacketts. He makes me laugh. Okay, well, Aaron,
we're not just going to hire all your packer friends.
And where'd he go? Is in the Pat McCaffrey show.
Why what the fuck is he doing on there?
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
You know that got a little off the helm of
the off, the realm of a of everything. So Aaron
Rodgers needed familiar faces around him as he got older. Okay,
Tom Brady wanted the same thing. Gronkowski.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
He's like, I don't care where I go, just as
long as Kronk is there.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Cool, that's fine. But in the beginning, you have these
guys being thrown curveballs and okay, hey, here's Wes Welker.
What okay, cool touchdown? No big deal. Hey, you know,
here's no name, Joe, here's bag of donuts, Tony, No
big deal, right, throw them a touchdown. Doris Sanders is
(29:34):
already at that level of I can't do it without
Travis Hunter. So there's, in my opinion, there is a
nice ground there. Okay, you already know what it is.
And then the ceiling is a lot lower than people
are gonna say. Oh no, no, sky's the limit. A
(29:56):
sky's the limit for his father, Dion Sanders when he
was playing, where you're like, you can add this guy
to the Cowboys and win a super Bowl. That was
Jerry Jones, by the way, one of the greatest general
managers in modern day NFL history, and even geniuses like
Jerry Jones when drafting get it wrong sometimes where he
(30:21):
just walks in fires. Jimmy Johnson, You're like, what the
fuck was that about?
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Dude?
Speaker 4 (30:25):
He made fun of me one day?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Wait?
Speaker 4 (30:27):
What holy shit?
Speaker 3 (30:31):
The the Browns, though, I'm giving them a.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Brown plus a B plus. Okay, really, I'm giving them.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
A B plus absolutely because they got away with a
first rounder Okay, that counts in the draft, Mason Graham
defensive tackle. They got the best defensive tackle in the
draft while getting away with the first rounder of who
they wanted to begin with the whole time. They got
not one but two running backs off one sucks and
one's good. They got a running back replacement for Nick Chubb.
(31:03):
And if Nick Chubb comes back, one hundred percent, now
you got Nick Chubb and another guy. Not a bad idea,
uh Fanning, Harold Fanning to go along with Nadjoku, double
tight end sets could be a thing.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
And let's see.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
How good Shadora Sanders does with the competition. Dylan Gabriel,
Shador Sanders, Lacko, Kenny Pickett. Listen, the Browns are notorious
for getting it wrong at quarterback. Right now, it's almost
impossible for them to get wrong five fucking times. So
I'm just saying, sometimes four, what you forgot about Deshan Watson?
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Oh there it is, Number five?
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Only forgot about him, didn't you, As did every masseus possible.
They just forgot, you know, like all this money I got,
my personal I forgot about him.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Whatever.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Not a big deal. So five quarterbacks, one room. This
is turning into VH one's the Surreal Life of Quarterbacks.
Just add flavor play, just to fill them. Some balls
with a big clock around his neck.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I want to No, there's five.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Sean Watson, Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacko, Shador Sanders, Dylan Gabriel,
Boom count it, Sparky.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
Count Watson, b Achilles out again.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
It doesn't matter. He's still on the roster. They're still
paying him some cash.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
He ain't gonna play.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Able to play this year though, I know, but somebody's
gonna get plus. You're giving a seed plus spark He's
giving a C minus. I'm giving a B plus the
Browns plus. Right here, okay, we are onto the Rada
Nation raina days. Oh god, now this one. I'm just
I'll tell you right now, I'll give them. I'll give
(32:47):
them a seat right off the rip.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
They're getting.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
See, they got Ash and Jenny.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
And that's basically and that thank you, Sparky, and that
is it.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Raiders.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
He got Jack back from TCU. And I know what
you're thinking, wide receiver. What does he look like? It's
a white dude? Okay from TCU. This isn't impressive. Do
you need somebody to be a fucking see dude, there
was Will Johnson on the board still there at second round.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
You could have got him. I don't care. If he's hurt.
You got Darien Porter.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Keviny he tore his a cl or whatever. People are
a lot of people are worried about that.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
I'm not worried about it.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
In his whole entire NFL career, the guy is Uh,
as long as he rehabs correct, he's gonna be perfectly fine.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
He'll still be a superstar in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Uh In Charles Grant, William and Marry I guess you
got some offensive tackles there.
Speaker 5 (33:48):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Dante Thornton, junior out of Tennessee not impressive. He's good.
He's a senior and that's why he's good. He's playing
against kids right now. Taka Hemingway, South Carolina defensive tackle.
And if he doesn't work out, they picked on another
defensive tackle. And then you know, the list is just
(34:11):
It starts off impressive, cool attion DENTNY A plus, very great,
and then we're down. We are down towards the D grades.
Right there, I'm.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Giving them a C. I lean scene plus C plus.
But I'm not.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
Leaning on these guys. All right, it's not it's not
gonna happen. Tony, How do you how are you feeling
about the about uh?
Speaker 1 (34:32):
The right?
Speaker 2 (34:32):
I feel like there's some hidden gems within the categories there.
Caleb Rogers, the offensive guard from Texas Tech.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah, not bad. It's offensive tackle Charles Grant from William
and Mary. You know, that's a fifty to fifty shot.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
They got players that can play, but are they going
to be stars? Don't know?
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Yeah, are they average or above average?
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I'm gonna a average C plus on the whole category, gotcha? Gotcha.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Now we're going over to the Jets. Jets, Okay, I'm
gonna read it off real quick. Just the top three Memboo,
Mason Taylor, and Azaria Thomas.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
Okay, this, and.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Then you get Arian George wide receiver, probably won't play.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Melachai Moore out of Alabama, a little handsy, but very
serviceable safety.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
I mean, honestly, I'd give them a B salid B.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Slid B.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Mason Taylor is going to be a good tight.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
End for them. They didn't reach for him. Memboo, offensive tackle,
one of the best in the draft. One of the
only good bright spots out of Florida State was Azarian
Thomas B plus, B plus, B plus and then the
rest four and down not really worried about.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
I give a solid B. Sparky's going C plus. He
does not like them go solid B as well, Sparky
se plus. What's going on here now?
Speaker 2 (36:17):
I think the only thing that they did miss was
not necessarily with watch McCall it leaving and kind of
taking everything else with him. But I mean, uh, they
do have a spot open up for a quarterback issue
of some sort.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
They got justin Fields. I think they're really gonna stick
with him.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Yeah, and I'm not saying that he's he's that's a
bad pick up for them. I just think that they
need a safety safety net for if things happen.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
The no, I agree, I agree, Parky. What do you think.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
Hit all of the other plays where I think they're
they're you know where they struggled last year was their linebackers.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
That was a big one.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
And yeah, the listen, if I'm the Jets and I
see best available, you go Jalen Walker, Okay, why not
grab them up? Probably good? Uh, you know, you see Membo. There,
Membo was kind of a plan idea. Get them, you
(37:30):
know you like them, You get them strengthened the offensive line.
Make sure your quarterback has time to throw you.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Some coaches fundamentally build their teams through the lines, first
inside to the outside. It's just, uh, it's just a good,
a growing theory. But we have the dumpster fire scumbag
idiots coming up next. And these guys, I'm guessing you
(37:58):
already know them, the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Okay, there Couch. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
The only player that they drafted and I really liked
the pick was Trevor Etn. Everyone else on this list
McMillan overrated, he's a jumper. He's gonna disappear. Whenever he's
not the number one guy, he disappears. And even yeah,
(38:30):
D Sparky, I'm almost there with you. I mean, I'm
gonna go D plus okay, because the plus is for
Trevor Etn. Nick Scorcheon, Right, Texas A and M had
three guys. Okay, they had three guys, and nobody knew
who was to give the credit to because they all
(38:52):
kind of worked as a team. And that's fine, but separately,
who the fuck knows that. Who knows what they are?
Who knows exactly what they are? Besides, just was that
an assistant tackle or was that just you not knowing
how to tackle? And then another three hundred pounder threw
his weight on the guy.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
I think a lot of it was because of that
princely Utamani third round talent, third round pick. Not a
bad pick for the third round, but he needs so
much coaching from this point at listen exactly, et Latham, Ransom, etn.
(39:30):
These guys are ready to go. Okay, they're ready. That's
those aren't bad picks. Cam Jackson don't know him, don't
care about am Mitchell Evan's tight end, Notre Dame whipping
he do? You guys already have tight ends, Galory, you
have three tight ends.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
But let's get to me.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Horn was the the third third wide receiver from Colorado.
Speaker 4 (39:49):
Yeah, Jimmy Horn junior.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
He's not bad, he's not bad, but you know you
got two wide receivers and then you got seven wide
receivers on top up with that idea. Yeah, well, Sparky,
if you want to protect Bryce Young, what would you
get him?
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Like?
Speaker 3 (40:05):
An offensive lineman Somewhere along the line because no one
was taken at all at all. It was it was
a stuh, my God, reach for one if you need one,
for the love of God.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
But it's the Panthers. They want to be sexy, they
want to be loved.
Speaker 5 (40:21):
They have and that and that the reason why they
got the d because because they didn't protect Bryce Young.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Correct And I knew they were going to pick Ted
McMillan because it was a he's not I didn't grate
him very high.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
As a wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
You're playing in the Pac twelve land or whatever the hell,
which doesn't have good defenses. So if you're like, if
you're tall enough and fast enough and you can get
a little bit of separation and jump a little bit
higher and much higher than everybody else, then you can
get a lot of touchdowns. And had some stats.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Now, did he not do well at the combine, which
I think he did.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
You know he did, he did average. You know, he
didn't do too bad.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
It's just when, Okay, So before he was the number
one guy at Arizona, he was the number two guy
at Arizona because he had competition. He gets bored, he
gets complacent, he's a he's not a chaser.
Speaker 4 (41:14):
Poka nakua, uh b yu.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
He's a you give him competition, he plays better, you know,
Davante Adams being his new competition, he's gonna play a
lot better. Cooper Cup being his competition, he played great.
Cooper Cup gets gets hurt, he gets a little, he
gets a little. Hey, what are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (41:33):
You know?
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Uh sort of thing just as far as player mentality goes.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
The Saints are on the clock next, Uh, Tony, what
great did you give the Panthers?
Speaker 2 (41:42):
By the way, Oh that was a C minus to
a D at least a hard drop.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Okay, Saints on the clock. So the Saints went a
little something like Calvin Banks Junior, Tyler Shag, Vernon Brockton,
h Jonah Sanker. They got a lot of a lot
of players here, two seventh rounders, Fadel Diggs. Isn't a
bad seventh round pick up. They're not a bad idea.
I'm I'm going to also give the Sayings a D plus. Okay,
(42:18):
Tyler Shug will he play?
Speaker 4 (42:21):
Listen? A lack of direction? Here is hey? Is Derek
Carr injured? We don't know?
Speaker 5 (42:29):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Is Rattler any good?
Speaker 5 (42:30):
We don't know.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
Uh whoa what sparky? See just averagees hell? Then right.
Speaker 5 (42:37):
He does have a hot girl friend?
Speaker 4 (42:39):
Now okay, uh Kelvin Kelvin Banks.
Speaker 5 (42:44):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
I did not have Kelvin Banks ranked very high as
an offensive tackle.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
I think he did. That's how that's you know who?
You know who? He needed to go to the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
The Panthers need to pick him and the like and
then a quarterback, a quarterback in the second round like
Tyler Shag, who, by the way, is the same age
as Trevor Lawrence. I mean, you know this is a
guy like this is a This is a guy where you.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
Say to yourself in.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
Excuse me, sir, you know this is a.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
Guy where you're like, hey, can we win games with him?
Speaker 1 (43:24):
Like maybe?
Speaker 3 (43:26):
Big maybe, And that's not a bad thing to hit
the maybe button on. But you're either in tank mode
or you're in super Bowl mode when it comes to
winning and losing. And right now the Saints have been
in some kind of state of limbo, not just since
Derek Carr has been there, but since Drew Breese has
been the quarterback. And then they're like, oh, what do
we do with James Winston. It's like, can you just
(43:48):
let him throw touchdowns?
Speaker 4 (43:49):
No?
Speaker 3 (43:49):
No, no, no, no, Let's have a quarterback competition with
the tight end. It's like, you guys on crack right now?
The fuck is going on down there?
Speaker 1 (43:56):
Who you got?
Speaker 4 (43:58):
Hey, guys, no one's paying running backs?
Speaker 1 (44:00):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (44:01):
We're giving Maybe Kamara all the money? Didn't he just
get in trouble in Las Vegas? Will you heard us?
All the money? What the fuck? The Saints are in
such disarray. I can't even any decision that they make
right now, including hiring Kellen Moore and not John Gruden.
You okay, you want an offensive you want you want to,
(44:22):
you want to you want a culture maker. You want
to get this guy back into the NFL. You want
to tell the league, Hey, we're the Saints and we
don't give a fuck right now. Get out of here,
Dennis Allen, get into here, John Gruden, We we want
to draft a young quarterback. You want to get Shador
Sanders and pick number in the second round. You you
passed on Shador Sanders in the second round.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
You passed on a.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Lot of people to get a guy who is the
same age as Trevor Lawrence. Hey, draft Brandon Whedon. Why
don't you draft fucking Brandon drap a thirty year old guy.
Draft uncle fucking Rico. While while you're at it, I
heard Warner.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Still had one year of eligibility left.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
He still has it. Don't doubt him. He'll come back.
He will come back. He's got he's got severe brain damage.
Just give him a fucking rams helmet, tell him to
put it on and then switch the tape up on him.
No problem, Sparky SI grade. So I'm giving them a
deep plus. Maybe maybe you know what, I'll be generous
(45:24):
see minus. Okay, c minus because they're not well, because
they're not as bad as the Panthers, just doing their
crap up every year as possible. We are onto the
Lions and Tigers and Bears. We were going on to
the Bears right now, Chicago Bears on the clock, and
(45:45):
oh my god, what a fucking disaster.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
This was Tony so Cole comment. Pretty good, pretty good
tight end, pretty pretty.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
Pretty good quote Larry David there h Colston Lovelin was
their first pick of Colston Loveland, great tight end, good stuff.
I don't think it was a need though. Okay, don't
feel like it was in need. I feel like they
needed to pay attention to defense and they didn't. They
(46:14):
got zero edge rushers. They got linebackers that like got
Ruben hype. Their first linebacker taken was ub Ruben Hyperpyte
out of Maryland. Maryland doesn't have a defense. Maryland has
about as much as a defense as as uh as
U c L. A. Okay, they're just they're the East
Coast U c L A sort of thing in my my,
(46:36):
my opinion, my humble opinion. Okay, Uh, Luther Burden a
very average. Look at that defense there you go, you
give them a D and then he added defense there, Sparky,
I love it. Very good stuff, So Luther Burton see
Colston Loveland b Okay, so we're at a C plus
and then everything Shamar Turner not a bad value, Bick.
(46:59):
I'll keep the out of C plus just because of
that Ossie Trappillo.
Speaker 4 (47:03):
What the fuck were doing?
Speaker 5 (47:04):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (47:04):
Everything underneath that, I'm just I'm.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Gonna leave it at this. They drafted, but they did nothing,
so I'm giving them a scene.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Okay, I'm right there with Sparky on a D plus.
Speaker 3 (47:19):
A D D plus, spark he gave them a d
though right, yeah, but we gave him a d L right,
oh yeah, oh yeah when when there's vote and was
that gonna have it? Forty nine ers are up next, Sparky,
we are. We're moving on Tony to the forty nine
ers San Francisco. Forty nine ers are on the clock.
We see what they did. Uh, pick number eleven, Michael Williams.
(47:41):
What do you think about that, spark What do you
think about it?
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Ton the cal.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Williams from Georgia. Of course, going number eleven. I thought
he was actually gonna go higher, believe it or not.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
Dude's a beast, a little top heavy, little top heavy,
doesn't have a lot of bend to him. Uh, you know,
it's a It's a forty nine ers defensive pick. They're
very good at evaluating the first rounders, but I'd like
to go over their late round picks because Lynch is
Lynch in the late rounds finds these gems. C. J.
(48:16):
West defensive tackle, Indiana kids of beasts. Okay, let's go,
let's let's go and uh and take a look at
Jordan James, a fifth round running back. I don't know him,
but when Christian McCaffrey gets injured. You'll know him. Okay,
everyone's gonna know him because always it always happens where
there are running backs get injured all the time. They
(48:39):
picked Curtis Rook out of Indiana. By the way, that
you know where the Niners scouts were.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
They were in.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
Indiana and they liked what they saw Indiana, by the way,
I bet on them plenty of times throughout the year,
made some good money on them. It's just they were
a good team. They had good players, well coached. I'm
gonna get this, uh, I'm gonna get for for gems
here and gems there. I'm gonna give them B minus.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
I was gonna go be as well.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
I feel like Michel Williams with a with a great
uh feature pick for for an edge rusher, you know,
definitely number one pick, very very useful.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
Alfred Collins a little high, A little high on Alfred Collins,
but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
Alfred Collins number forty three on their pick from Texas
defensive tackle.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
Did well. He did well for Texas.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
By the way, here's the prob. They drafted all the
defensive players, but who did they get for wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (49:44):
They got Jordan's they got Jordan Watkins out of Old Miss. Okay. Yeah,
now now with Kyle Shanahan. Kyle Shanahan, he's got a scheme.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
If Jordan Watkins can, if Jordan Watkins can play at
Old Miss and work out that scheme, no problem.
Speaker 4 (50:01):
I think he'll.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
I think he'll do fine in the Kyle Shanahan system
as well. What do you think, Sparky or maybe he
didn't hear me, uh, you know.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Like three or four, three or four, I didn't hear.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
Ye, Okay, Okay, So I mean they put in an
even junior Bergen, junior Bergen from Montana at their last
pick at number two fifty two.
Speaker 5 (50:24):
But you guys remember the white the forty nine lost
the mother wide receivers.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Though. Look, you get Curtis Rook quarterback for from Indiana,
like he was a quarterback from Ohio, not Ohio State,
but Ohio.
Speaker 4 (50:37):
This kid's good.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
Okay, He's got a lot, he's got a he's got
a lot of speed on his ball. These balls don't
fall flat all the time. They're very accurate all around.
He's a senior six four two twenty uh, very very serviceable.
If anything does happen to a Brock party, you got
brock Perty two point oh.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
Right here, you got brock Perty two point oh in
the seventh round.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
I think they've hit a lot of the white bread
mid Midwest like Iowa, Indiana's uh wow, Oklahoma.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
Western Kentucky. Yeah, very valid point.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
They're they're in that uh, they're in that we make
bread at home kind of area.
Speaker 5 (51:18):
You know.
Speaker 3 (51:19):
It's uh, it's one of those one of those things.
The so I give a b mice, you give them
a bee. I mean, we're also kind of putting a
little bit of a weight on past team success, Okay,
a little you know, as much as we know about
these players, and as much as you know research that
can be done, uh, you put a weight on past
(51:41):
team success as well. So and then it's not a
bad idea to do it. Cowboys, Cowboys are on the clock.
One of my favorite drafts.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Right here.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
I'm gonna give my grade right off the rip a minus. Okay, yeah,
oh yeah, yeah, the Tyler Booker best guard in the draft.
They needed a guard, so go for the need right
at that point in time.
Speaker 1 (52:10):
Yes, ye.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Donovan Zurika, dude's got a lot of bend to him
out of Boston College.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
He's able.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
In the second round, he's he's close to being a
first round talent, which is great, very close to being
a first round talent.
Speaker 4 (52:34):
Uh chevon Rebel.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
And the third.
Speaker 3 (52:36):
Round, that's kinda whoa they got.
Speaker 5 (52:41):
They were able to draft.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Every Okay, we'll go for the running backs real quick,
Phil Maffa in the seventh round out of Clemson and
Jaden Blue in the fifth round. Uh the trades that
were done, they traded back, and they were still able
to find these nice gems. I was leaning to give
them an A almost, but of course you did something
(53:06):
that kind of gives you a marker down on me.
Uh Ja tyola u c la. What are you doing there?
Speaker 1 (53:15):
You know?
Speaker 3 (53:16):
I mean again, nothing completely life changing for them. I
don't see them taking a wide receiver. I think they
I think they are one wide receiver from a perfect
A grade. Somebody give them a minus. Okay, a minus
all around right there? For the for the Cowboys, Tony,
how about yourself, what do you give them?
Speaker 5 (53:37):
No?
Speaker 1 (53:37):
I agree with that.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
I think a minus B plus writing about their Cowboys
bypass the available offensive skilled position players and.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
Defensive talent and number twelve.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
The uh man, my.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
My, oh, I don't do it, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
You want to you want to skip him? I do,
I do. I think we should skip him.
Speaker 4 (54:10):
Who Miami Dolphins are on the clock, Tony, there they are.
Why why do it?
Speaker 1 (54:18):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Every year and and and every year, every year you
say this, Kevin, Uh, what the fuck did they do?
Speaker 4 (54:26):
Miami?
Speaker 1 (54:27):
What does they like to mess it up? As they
like to go along?
Speaker 3 (54:34):
So starting off with the thirteenth pick, I'll give you
a little recap. The best defensive tackle on Michigan Mason Graham.
The second best defensive tackle on Michigan. Specifically, it's Kenneth Grant.
Speaker 5 (54:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
Yeah, not the draft, not the whole. By the way,
defensive tackles are very deep in this draft. You can
get one in the second round just as good as
the first round.
Speaker 4 (55:16):
We go Kenneth Grant, thirteenth pick.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
Overall, the kid reminds me of a slower version of
Don Terry Poe out of Memphis, who played four seasons
for the Chiefs, four seasons for the Titans.
Speaker 4 (55:29):
There then we trade it up, trade it up to
get a guard.
Speaker 3 (55:37):
Is very good. This is a great pick right here.
Gonna give it an a gonna give kevinth Grant a C.
And then it got kind of tricky. Jordan Phillips, Okay,
which Jordan Phillips is practically the same player as Kenneth Grant,
so you're doubling down on the same idea. Jordan Phillips
is slower than Kenneth Grant, So we're giving you a
(56:00):
a C minus on that one because he did the
same thing. Jason Marshall junior cornerback Florida. Is this who
the next Jalen Ramsey's supposed to be?
Speaker 4 (56:11):
What the fuck?
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Supposedly?
Speaker 3 (56:14):
You know, Jason Marshall junior will show up for practice,
unlike Jalen Ramsey.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Now they like their juniors in this draft.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
They got a lot of Marshall junior, Dante Trader, Yeah,
Gordon the second listen.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
You know they're already in Florida, so to scout in
Florida feels lazy. And then they go to Maryland say
we'll take two. You know, they go to Michigan, they say, hey,
is Mason Graham available? They say, well, no, he's gone.
All right, who's that other guy? Kenneth Grant?
Speaker 4 (56:45):
Cool? Will take him? And then they got some uh Saviana.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
Or whatever the un now, as if we didn't have
enough running backs. We got Ali Gordon the second. Ali
Gordon the Second is very good, very talented. Okay, not
a bad idea, Quinn Ewers I found out. Okay, quin yours?
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Oh here it comes, Quinn Yours.
Speaker 3 (57:10):
When you think about it, now that the Dolphins selected him,
he's now another Skyler Thompson. I'm like, I couldn't put
my finger on it of who. You remind me so
much of quin Yours until now you are Skyler Thompson.
Speaker 2 (57:24):
Yeah, goodder until somebody gets hurt.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
Good in college, you won't go thank you? See Junior
a Sea Junior, I give it the same exact grade there,
Sparking given the Dolphins a letter C grade right there.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
See it all the way around.
Speaker 3 (57:41):
Great value at Quinn yourers, okay, seventh pick. So we're
gonna give it an A for value. We're gonna give
Ali Gordon value and talent and A for talent right there.
Speaker 4 (57:51):
Dante Trader Junior? What who? Who?
Speaker 5 (57:57):
Look?
Speaker 2 (57:57):
The Terrapins did actually okay, they did okay this year?
Speaker 3 (58:02):
God, Tony, what's your draft grade for the Dolphins?
Speaker 1 (58:05):
Oh yeah, it's definitely a C.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
Oh my god? The uh the Indianapolis Colts up.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
By the way, the Dolphins were two rounds away from
picking Chadora Sanders, but he was taking off the off
the uh the off the board right there. You know,
we took instead of Shadora Sanders in the fifth round
Dante Trader Junior. Yeah, Dante Trader Junior was picked instead
(58:38):
of Chadoor Sanders. And they were like, maybe Quinn you
weres in the seventh Hey, Zach Wilson, do you like
it in Miami?
Speaker 4 (58:49):
Yeah? What's your number gonna be? Zero? Amazing, outstanding? Good
for you, Zach. Fucking scumbags.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
Man.
Speaker 2 (58:58):
Now let's talk about the Colts because I feel like
they actually got they actually did pretty well for themselves
in the draft.
Speaker 4 (59:09):
Oh. I don't know, man, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
They got uh.
Speaker 3 (59:19):
They got j t at edge C plus right there.
Not a big name, but it has a little bit
of a good locker room guy to uh Tyler game.
Speaker 1 (59:29):
And especially from high Ohio state, like.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
They let Tyler Warren follow him. That's an eight plus. Okay,
you didn't trade up for him, You got him in
the first round. A plus C plus for j t
uh Justin while the corner back out of Minnesota. In
Minnesota's defense was nothing a slote. I'll give him B
minus on that one. You got him in the third round.
Uh Jalen Travis, Uh tackle they traded up for him
(59:56):
or whatever? You know, DJ Gettons out of Kansas date.
I mean Riley Leonard as well.
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
You know, I feel like he's gonna be the sneaky,
the sneaky peet.
Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
Sparky, I'm leaning with you. I'll give them a B
minus as well. I'm agreeing with Sparky. We're on the
same page, Sparky.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
What about you, Tony?
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
I was gonna go either B plus or A minus,
B plus or a minus.
Speaker 4 (01:00:21):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
I feel like they covered quite a few holes. I
feel like they got their positions all set up. Warren
and Tim tim Allow whatever his name is. Yeah, some
of my favorite picks from the draft.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
I don't know. I think they're I think with the
franchise still do well.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
The The Atlanta Falcons are up next, and you know,
Atlanta Falcons.
Speaker 4 (01:00:50):
What do you get them at, Tony?
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
You're checking out what they did Atlanta Falcons.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Actually, let me take a look because I don't remember.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
I want to say that, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
Okay, Okay, the Atlanta falconshit the bend.
Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
They did not ship the bed.
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Oh yeah, they did.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
Totally feel the opposite way in this one. Jalen Walker
one of the best defensive players at fifteen. Nice trade
up to get James Pears junior. Okay, great, we're we're
cooking with gas. Xavier Watson the third round ass end
of the third round. Amazing, great can play safety. Really
good quarterback. Billy Bowman junior plays it. He's a hard
(01:01:35):
hitting safety out of Oklahoma. Jack Nelson right. Jack Nelson
seventh round pick, offensive tackle, ready to protect Michael Pennox junior.
By the way, Atlanta, you don't need any wide receivers.
Good job, good job not taking any wide receivers. Yeah,
amazing you got You got two top benches right there.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01:56):
B Sparking was in a bat They didn't do too much,
They didn't do too little.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
They walked in with five players, five players at every
aspect that I could look at this. They got value
at each position. This is my only a plus of
the draft, only a plus of the draft. Jalen Walker
reminds me so much of a Ray Lewis type. James
(01:02:24):
Pierce Junior is so bendy. He can get past offensive tackles.
Xavier Wats is a ballhawk and manned a man and
in zone coverage from Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
He's a senior, but you need a guy that you
can play right now. Anyways.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Billy Bowman junior as well. He was Oklahoma's bright spot
on defense. This guy is a tackling and intercepting cornerback
safety combo. And you know Jack Nelson by the way,
for Wisconsin. This guy six foot seven, three hundred and
fourteen pounds. He's a senior, okay, but you want to
(01:03:02):
have a person seventh round Jack Nelson did every forget
that he knows how to block. This guy knows what
he's doing. This is the only this is the only team.
I gave an eight plus too outstanding draft to the
Atlanta Falcons. Holy crap, this is insanity. Sparking a beat,
(01:03:23):
What did you hate?
Speaker 5 (01:03:28):
I think they needed like another They needed a tackle
because the that the tackle positions weren't that great for Atlanta.
They got a guy who could play guard, but he's
gonna be like tackle.
Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
Mhm, yeah, no, I I mean I could see I
could see your point there.
Speaker 5 (01:03:50):
But they defensive players but they had a lot. They
had some decent defensive players Atlanta. Atlanta didn't have a
slouch defense last year. The thing that was certain them
last year is the quarterback kept getting hit between Panics
and Cousins.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Yeah, no, I agree with that. Uh solid B plus
for me plus.
Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
Okay, we got the Cardinals. Cardinals up next Guy's Cardinals.
Oh my god, the now the Cardinals really really kicked
it off the right way. If you're gonna go defensive
tackle early in the first round, you go Walter Nolan,
and they did.
Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
You don't go Kenneth Brant. You don't do it, You
go Walter Nolan.
Speaker 3 (01:04:38):
Then second round, midway through the second round, Will Johnson, Now.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
You're a pretty decent pickup right there.
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
I like it a lot, A plus right there. Jordan Birch, Oregon,
all right, we're getting a little cute. We're getting a
little cute, aren't we. Yeah, Saucy Cody Simon in the
fourth round, Denzel Burke in the fifth round. Okay, okay,
defensive players both on the same team Ohio State. I
(01:05:07):
would have they would have gotten an A plus if
they would have just picked a wide receiver somewhere, like
a sleeper wide receiver anywhere, or like a Chador Sanders
maybe to backup Kyler Murray. Just somebody to just just
I want both those guys in the same locker room
so that way they can fucking yap at each other,
you know. But I'm giving them. I'm giving Cardinals an
(01:05:29):
a Sparky. What do you think that'd be plus B plus?
Speaker 5 (01:05:33):
Okay, because they needed they needed like the backup quarterback
and and maybe another wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
The team they need wide receivers in the worst way. Yeah,
and uh, I think they're going to be looking to
sign multiple uh free agents as soon.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
As they happen to come in.
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Not a bad point, Tony, not a bad We're gonna
move on real quick. With the Bengals. The Bengals fucking
disaster of a draft right here. I'm giving them a
solid D for disaster. They're lucky they don't get a
D minus. Jamar Stewart. Yeah, he's a big physical presence
right there, but let's be honest, he's a negotiating tool.
Meaning okay, they tooled him in there. Barrett Carter out
(01:06:23):
of Clemson, serviceable, Demetrius Night June you're out of South Carolina. Yeah,
you know he's night and day, okay, because he's good
and bad. He's hot and cold. He's like Katie perry Son.
You don't know if you like it or if it's
total crack.
Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
Yeah, you don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
If it's a flight to the moon or if it's
a flight to stratosphere.
Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
You don't know what Demetrius not. You're gonna get every game.
He's very inconsistent. Dylan Fairchild outside guard because why not?
You don't know what else to do with the third
round pick? You have no these guys. And then another guard,
Jalen Rivers out of Miami. Miami wasn't known for the
run game. They're known for their past game a lot more.
The fifth round pick. Who cares really taj Brooks running back?
(01:07:03):
Because why not?
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
I guess.
Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
And if I'm saying because why not? Because why not?
Because why not? You're not doing anything and you're doing
something raw.
Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
We just threw out that threw picks out.
Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
They just did something.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
Yeah, they just they're just fucking around as the fuck around.
The Bengals now they did nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
They need when they that's when they hit the first
draft and they're like, oh, Shamar Stewart, all right, uh, yeah,
that's cool, and then hit auto pick for all the
rest of this.
Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
Oh my god, you damn right they hit auto pick.
You need a cornerback, You need a cornerback. This is
what you do. Take them, take the plunge, get it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
Get a Jahan Baron in the first round, waite for
an edge in the second round. Right, you need you
need a wide receiver, Get a wide receiver in the
second third round.
Speaker 5 (01:07:55):
Instead, Sinnaty doesn't need wide receivers. They needed a little
bit of offensive line help and some players on.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
Oh they got they got Mike Ohseki at tight end.
Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Dude, after two years, micah Seki's expiration dates up and
he just fucking hangs around.
Speaker 5 (01:08:12):
But remember they have uh, they have t Higgins and
uh and Chase at the wide receiversult.
Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
Yeah, I mean, I guess they'll be fine and that one.
And then they got that kid with the super Italian
last name Iowa don't whatever the hell you know?
Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
Who do have its running backs in the Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
They got Chase Brown and he takes a majority of
the carries. So like, I've never learned the other one's name. Yeah,
but still I'm I'm giving them d D disaster.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Tony.
Speaker 4 (01:08:44):
What do you got minus?
Speaker 1 (01:08:46):
Definitely minus?
Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
Okay, out of the Seahawks, and I'm impressed. I'm just
gonna tell you that I am impressed. Okay, they started
off great, Zabel, who can play everything offensive line?
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
Now you are not easily impressed.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
Kevin, by the way, I don't, I know, I'm uh,
but what these guys did a great job. Nick a
man worry, physical specimen, tackling, very physical safety, can play
linebacker if he really wanted to.
Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
Elijah Arrow.
Speaker 3 (01:09:20):
Out of my Arroyo, out of Tenant, out of Miami
tight end, and my favorite pick of the draft right here,
Dalen Milro, Dalen Milroe, you need yourself some Sam Darnold insurance.
Get them in the third round, get it well, it's hot, yeah, man.
And then after that you got fifth rounders in below. Okay,
(01:09:41):
so you know what I say about fifth rounders in below.
Not really a big deal. Tory Holton Horton wide receiver, Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Cool.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
A lot of Jags down here, nothing crazy, nothing bad.
I'm giving them a solid A an A not Ben
from the Seahawks. Not bad at all. B plus Sparky,
what explain yourself? What did you hate? What did you love?
(01:10:09):
I loved most of Seattle's draft.
Speaker 5 (01:10:13):
Yeah, I like their draft. But maybe what they could
have done is I think they needed a little bit
of help on corner still, so maybe they could have
brought it in some secondary help.
Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
I mean, either that idea or I would say an
edge would have been a nice idea.
Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
They did. Okay, so they did this two tight.
Speaker 3 (01:10:45):
End idea, two wide receiver idea, a running back here
Martinez out of Miami. They got two players from Miami,
which shows me a little bit of a laziness.
Speaker 4 (01:10:58):
You're in Miami. I'll take two, know, I mean, I
I don't want to. I don't want to be that guy.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
But here we are. Ricky White the third un l
V great pickup. That's a value pick. They got a
lot of value picks that I you know, Ricky White
the third in the third round is still a B
plus pick. Okay, in the seventh round that turns into
an A plus value. Like, you know, it didn't make
(01:11:26):
him better, It just made you better that you could
wait until the seventh round to get him. Yeah, this
is why I give them an a. I didn't give
anybody more. The only team I gave an A plus
two was the Atlanta Falcon. Atlanta Falcon, because I think
that all just they got five players, But the five
players that they got are impact players that will change
(01:11:48):
the game for them day one.
Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
They needed them to fill holes and that and that's
what they did. Correct. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
Yeah, we got the Buccaneers coming up next. Tell you
what do you got the Seahawks at UH Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
I probably put it a B B.
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
Okay, all right, nothing really.
Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
Nothing crazy?
Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
Yeah, nothing life changing?
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Okay, nothing life changing, you're right, I mean, you know,
backup quarterback, nothing whatever. Yeah, the okay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
picking up Ikabuka, Benjamin Morris, and then a bunch of
guys not.
Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
Just whatever's right, parish Walker, Roberts, and Johnson. It sounds
like you're in a they're in a quartet for a
Mormon band.
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
I think they got two starters here. I can start,
he can, it's the thing, and Morrison can start as well.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
You Morris.
Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Yeah, day one starters. I lean a lot on that idea. Okay,
average to above average. I'm leading C plus to a
B minus in that range. Sparky what do you.
Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
Got, buddy, say the same thing.
Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
It's like, yeah, in that range like these other whatever.
You know, Central Arkansas, David Walker Edge. I know nothing
about him. If I did, I'd be I'd be a maniac.
Right now, they missed out on getting a tight end,
missed out and getting a linebacker.
Speaker 4 (01:13:28):
I'll give them a C plus.
Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
Uh then that's not a bad grade, but B minus
C plus in that range, Tony, how about yourself, I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:13:37):
Right there plus now.
Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
It's not like they need it a lot too, Okay,
because the you know, they're they're right in the hunt
last year for making the Super Bowl, they made the playoffs.
They're a good team. Onto the Broncos, Sean Payton's Broncos,
the Denver Saints. Yeah, they did the right thing round one,
(01:14:05):
Jahad Baron. Everybody had them going running back, including myself,
But nope, Jahad Baron, it was that's an a that's
an a pick right there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
Not bad. They didn't reach it. They didn't reach for him.
They stuck and picked RC Harvey out of UCF.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
Who who oh Harvey? Who who is this guy? You're
drafted out of the University of Central Florida? Who Pat
Bryant one of my favorite, one of my favorite wide
receivers in the draft, Pat Brian, This guy is a
precise route runner. His balance in the combine. I had
(01:14:47):
to keep pleasant you. You should have seen, Geniez I
was the guy kept showing. I said, look at this,
Look at how straight his feet stay. His shoulders stay
straight too. Like the guy is just he's he's so
well balanced as.
Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
Far as a runner. I've never seen him before.
Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Uh, but he I had him at the top of
the board, and Sean Payton obviously said that I have
seen the same thing.
Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
Savion Jones, Q Robinson see see.
Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Eh nothing uh, nothing crazy going on here besides Jehann Baron.
So I don't know, man. I would give them C
plus B minus. I'm sure these players are gonna be
well coached.
Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
Be minus. You're going spark be minus.
Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
Yeah, And we're almost we're almost through the uh the
whole entire thing. We have the Steelers, steel Town City
coming up here.
Speaker 4 (01:15:46):
You're skipping the Steelers. Wow, Spark, are you a Steelers?
Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
Ben?
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I feel like they did pretty well for themselves. So
Caleb Johnson, good running back out of Iowa. Jack Sawyer
leader in locker room, Ohio State Derek Harmon unbalanced defensive tackle,
very unbalanced par Can you ever see a most fall
over on himself?
Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
I mean what are you doing? Like Will Howard is
that the future could have had Door Sanders.
Speaker 5 (01:16:19):
That's that's the thing that worries me about that.
Speaker 4 (01:16:25):
I'm not gonna be too.
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
They have DK Metcalf too.
Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Yeah, they didn't draft him though the.
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
I'm giving the Steelers a C minus and that's being
very generous on this one. In fact, fuck him d plus.
Speaker 5 (01:16:50):
I was I was gonna say minus because.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Of you know, because of uh team success, coaching, all
that nice stuff, trusting scouts.
Speaker 5 (01:17:00):
Well, no, you know you need on a quarterback yeh.
Speaker 4 (01:17:04):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:17:05):
People say takes standard. They have taken one Howard, but
then they ended up with.
Speaker 4 (01:17:10):
Dude, They got Will Howard. Will Howard is another a
Bason Rudolph.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Big fucking deal. We got Rudolph's around here now, dude
got oh hey, it's like that fucking that guy that
meme of the guy holding the shirt while wearing the
same shirt.
Speaker 4 (01:17:24):
You didn't do anything.
Speaker 5 (01:17:27):
It's like a Spider Man, mean, where everybody's dressed up
like Spider.
Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
Man and the way we go to the next one.
Speaker 3 (01:17:35):
Chargers, Hampton, Harris, Caldwell, Canard.
Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
Hmm.
Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
People really like Amarion Hampton. I can't see his talent
level going further into the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
Uh very rare.
Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Do what I you know, wish non success on somebody.
Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
Trey Harris, great, Okay, he'll be able to run Sean,
They'll be able to run Harbaugh's offense because they're never
gonna throw them the ball, you know, they're just gonna
keep them on the bench for probably a year or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
The hell.
Speaker 4 (01:18:10):
I'm giving these guys.
Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
A total C, a C grade, you know, you know,
there's some potential upside on offense, and that's what they need.
I can't doubt Harbaugh as far as team building, but
I'm not going out on a.
Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
Limbs saying that they did anything more than just average.
Don't know what you got. I feel like they're in
the B range, believe it or not. The B range.
Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Yeah, so, uh, Jim Hart Jim Harbaugh's run game. Of
course it got a little booth from Hampton. Yeah, which
is which is good? You know, I mean, Omaron Hampton
from North Carolina. He did really well this past season
and uh.
Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
Great edition, great edition.
Speaker 5 (01:18:56):
It is long.
Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
Not gun would uh that he does stay healthy? Now
did they add anybody from the receiving corps? They did
with Trey Harris from Mississippi. Uh, you know, once again,
he's gonna do mediocre to well.
Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
I think he's a good wide receiver. I really think
he is.
Speaker 5 (01:19:25):
It's just, uh, is he gonna be a super star though?
Speaker 4 (01:19:30):
Is he gonna be a superstar? Is he gonna be
the average?
Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
I mean, you're right sparking, that's what I'm I'm in
that range too, Like he could play college.
Speaker 4 (01:19:38):
That's good.
Speaker 1 (01:19:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
But then they got KeAndre Lambert from UH from UH
from Auburn and uh, I felt like Auburn did really
well this serie as well. But that was like, a
that's a weird fifth rounder. I feel like he should
have went a little bit higher as well, slipping down
to one fifty eight, you know whatever, I mean, it
(01:20:05):
is what it is. Wide receivers in this draft were
really really weird.
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
Speaking of wide receivers in the Driver going to Green Bay,
where I think that they did get the number one
wide receiver, Matthew Golden.
Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
Matthew Golden.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Yeah, Now once Aaron Rodgers has left town. They're ready
to draft some wide receiver talent. Isn't that amazing?
Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
Go figure right, you got a golden also do well
in the combine. He was the fastest wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
Correct, Yes, he was the fastest wide receiver in the combine.
He was also very proficient in slant routes. Quinn Yours
was able to hit him on the run. And then
once you get this guy on the run, add him
to a Jalen Reed and a Christian Wattonon Watson. If
Romeo Dobbs is going to be there next year, We're
not really sure. That is an a plus right there.
(01:20:56):
Anthony Belton really good offensive tackle from NC State. Underrated
Savian Williams could be used in a scheme such as
like a slot receiver running back if he wanted to.
He is the only person I would kind of compare
to like a Deebo Samuel, you know, a Swiss Army
knife of wide receiver, type of type of players Barry
(01:21:16):
sorel Edge out of Texas Sorrel. He can he can
get to the quarterback and not just circumstantially either. He
does know how to cut through offensive tackles. Uh fifth
through seventh round. Nothing going on here, but that's just
because you're in the fifth through the seventh round. The
Green Bay Packers checked every box that I can think of, uh,
(01:21:37):
in the in the draft, I would give them a
an A, give them an A.
Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
I think they did well. Yeah, A for them as well.
Speaker 5 (01:21:48):
Barkie, Yep, yep, they got they got an A. There
they're they're they're one of two teams that that that
I that I gave an A two.
Speaker 3 (01:21:56):
Gotcha, gotcha? So that was like up there on your board.
Then sparky, right, we're onto the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota Vikings.
Now they they got bounced because of Sam Donald last year.
Aaron Rodgers came knocking on their door looking for a job,
and they were like, get the fuck out of here, man,
we don't want none of that.
Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
Donovan Jackson their first round pick, Donovan Jackson from Ohio State,
outside guard. They want to keep that run game going strong,
and they want to keep the block game going because
JJ McCarthy will be assumed to be the starting first
round they.
Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
Do.
Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Yeah, yeah, Tay Felton out of Maryland. This kid's a burner. Uh,
you know that's not a bad idea, Kobe King linebacker,
Penn State, the sixth rounder deserves to be there, Dawkins
out of Georgia.
Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
Uh, listen, the Vikings. I'm giving them a C minus.
Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
They didn't pick a lot of players here. The players
that they did pick don't look like they're going to
be impactful in a negative way or a positive way.
But you know, I'll just give them a C because
it's whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
They didn't do.
Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Much minus Who's who's the B minus talent on here?
You skipped over the C plus idea sparky mm hmmm.
Speaker 5 (01:23:22):
I think they're I think the player that they got
where you know, the stay so they felt necessity.
Speaker 4 (01:23:30):
All right, I mean that's up to you. I'm giving them.
I'm giving them a C. You know, nothing crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:23:35):
So Tony, what do you got, I'm right there to you.
Uh plus yeah, very close.
Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
No, No, I mean kind of nobody of nobody of
super big importance. I mean they you know, they did
have their their offensive players and Donovan Jackson and ty Felton.
Speaker 1 (01:23:56):
Ty Felton, I feel.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
Is a bit of a believe it or not, like
for even from Maryland, like and we've talked about this before,
Maryland players just you know, it's a soft conference.
Speaker 3 (01:24:13):
Maryland players in the most talented Maryland wide receiver DJ
Moore still playing today. Okay, gotta remember that still playing
today is still very talented. Yeah. Uh, you know how
much I love him for fantasy football. It's one of
my one of my go tos. It's you know, you
get kind of antsy on that idea. We're gonna go
(01:24:35):
to the We're gonna go to the Baltimore Ravens real
quick because the Ravens are The Ravens are always interesting
in drafts, and they were very interesting this year. Malachise Darks, Wow,
pick twenty seven. Malki Starks very good. He could get burned.
(01:24:59):
He has the ability to get burned. Mike Green, he
has the ability to get blocked. Emory Jones Junior very nice,
Teddy Buckingham linebacker California, who cares? Carson Venison Alabama A
and m who's there to him?
Speaker 5 (01:25:17):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
They got a bunch of picks in the back end
and the front end. I'm giving them a be solid
B because of Malachi Starks and Mike Green. They got
away with Mike Green in the second round. Late in
the second round. Uh, just a solid b Emory Jones
Junior l s U underrated tackle. He's a Kelly offensive tackle.
(01:25:40):
Those guys are good. You're like Will Campbell. You're gonna
love Emery Jones Junior because he's six' five and has long.
Arms i'm just, saying, yep giving them a giving them a, Beat,
marky what do you?
Speaker 5 (01:25:57):
Think?
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
OKAY i would probably see A b.
Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
MINUS i don't like The Mike green pig only because
apparently he has some off off field incidents going, on
and you know, how you know How baltimore is. There
they'll take the troubled children as much as The Dallas
cowboy as.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):
Well John Harbor harbaugh was.
Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
Also we'll keep, them we'll get him.
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
In, well he was.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
Saying he would never draft somebody who was a, rapist
so this makes him innocent.
Speaker 5 (01:26:30):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
Mm.
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
Hmm Interesting interesting bills on the, Clock Maxwell harris AND. Tj,
Sanders Landon, Jackson Dion, walker Ah. MAN i don't, know
not really too impressed right. There it's all be. Talent
i'm giving them the BILLS a big b, BILLS b for,
bills saper, BILLS b for, bills not a big. Deal Detroit,
(01:26:55):
Lions Detroit lions right. Now, Uh Tate ratledge, man what
a what a garbage dump right? Here, see you know the,
whole the, whole the whole thing is just to see.
Speaker 1 (01:27:06):
Screams.
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
Average, yeah they, were they were the average.
Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
Draft Kansas City. Chiefs we're gonna roll right through At
Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
CHIEFS b plus, Okay Josh, Simmons Omar Norman. Lott the
two biggest needs for The chiefs they filled.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
Brilliantly.
Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
Okay, Uh Jalen Royal's Utah state kids.
Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
Good he is good With Pat mahomes throwing the, ball
he'll be even better because who was throwing from the
ball you toss state, nobody fucking nobody and he's still.
Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
Shined.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
Yeah you, know we're just feel like he's gonna do.
Speaker 1 (01:27:45):
Uh as much as what's his? Name oh?
Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
Ship, yeah, yeah my brain's having a having a mush, moment.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Moush away right.
Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
Here Josh Washington, Commanders Josh Cornerley, Junior Trey, Amos Jalen.
Lane i'm gonna give The Washington commanders SOLID b on this,
one if not a beat. Plus Corley junior did not
allow a. Sack while At, Oregon now they had talented
wide receivers who could, burn you, know, cornerbacks and a
(01:28:22):
quarterback was always, confident so they always have talented players
In Oregon Trey, amos And amos is.
Speaker 4 (01:28:27):
Good he's a good.
Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
Player they, need they needed a fucking two hundred pound.
Cornerback Trey amos is one ninety. Five close, enough close.
Enough washington's been notorious for picking these guys who are
like one hundred and forty pounds and you're, like, dude
what the Fuck he's gonna get killed out?
Speaker 4 (01:28:44):
There And Jalen lane.
Speaker 5 (01:28:49):
Not.
Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Bad Virginia tech's was very competitive last. Year not, bad not.
Bad we're gonna roll right through it here with The, Eagles, Eagles,
Eagles EAGLES.
Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
B.
Speaker 4 (01:29:02):
Minus just looking.
Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
At it right, now this is actually an. A actually
you think it's an.
Speaker 4 (01:29:08):
A what explain your works?
Speaker 5 (01:29:10):
Party because they got they got the players and filled
the holes that they, need and they got value the
players that they.
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
Got kyle McCord, Value Cam williams. Value i'll give that to,
You ryland, value mac McWilliams.
Speaker 5 (01:29:31):
Universe they got guys that can, play they, needed they,
needed you, know, mccooba, McCool that Whole they drafted everything
to pick to play patch, up play. Patchwork, yeah to
think about the defensive, players they can teach them how to.
Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
Play mccooba feels like.
Speaker 5 (01:29:51):
Patchwork hmm not mccooba is The is he the corner.
Speaker 4 (01:30:00):
Safety?
Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
Corner? Yeah, yeah he can.
Speaker 5 (01:30:03):
Hit he's a.
Speaker 1 (01:30:04):
Hitter he is a hitter there they're.
Speaker 5 (01:30:10):
Cutting if you want to start him, off you don't
put him on. Corner you can put him out in
uh out in free. Safety.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
Yeah they already Got Cooper deshun out there, though SO
i mean.
Speaker 5 (01:30:21):
He's gonna he's gonna move over to a strong safety
corner because of because of The philly getting rid.
Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
Of that's another thing. Too mac McWilliams corner back out
of ucf. Uh they're looking to put him. There SO
i think it's A i think it's A i think
what they're doing is they have a cluster of maybe's
in that, area and you don't cluster up. Maybe's at
(01:30:47):
the end of the second round into the fourth, round
they got one, Guy John, campbell and he's gonna be
injured for the whole.
Speaker 4 (01:30:53):
Season he's not coming.
Speaker 3 (01:30:55):
Back so they got one really talented, guy and then
they Got kyle mccordy just in. Case i'm giving them
A b, minus just in Case Jalen hurts gets.
Speaker 5 (01:31:04):
HURT i like THE i THINK i think there's STILL
i think they still a.
Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Talent though Now tony's got the medic right. Here just,
average very. Average And i'm kind of leaning With tony
on this, one.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
For they're betting a lot of eggs in a basket Thee.
Speaker 3 (01:31:24):
So SO i see Where sparky's coming from with the
long uh the long. Game, okay Where, okay you draft
these guys because you're expecting them to have a career
ten years down the. Road, okay five years down the.
Road are these guys going to be impact? Players The
(01:31:45):
eagles are right now such a young defense and an
ultimately experienced and talented offense that you don't need these
guys right away.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Anyways, correct.
Speaker 5 (01:31:58):
That makes some start. Plays you only need him to make.
Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
Tackles that's Why i'm like topsy turvy on this Where i'm,
like you know, WHAT b MAYBE b.
Speaker 4 (01:32:06):
Minus i'm sticking WITH b. Minus i'm leaning that.
Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
Way.
Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
Uh kyle, McCord.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
Hey he he's a good option to have just in
Case Jalen hurts gets gets banged. Up, yeah, yeah so,
like that's a great value pick right, there BUT i
don't know IT'S i think it's the mac McWilliams idea
that's really getting to. Me.
Speaker 4 (01:32:32):
Uh and that's a field high for, him that's really.
Speaker 1 (01:32:36):
High.
Speaker 3 (01:32:37):
YEAH i don't want to be too, critical and it's
tough BECAUSE i don't want to be too critical of
late round picks that aren't going to really be seen too.
Much and THEN i don't want to be too complimentary
of late round picks that are.
Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Gems so to focus on just the first two.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Picks is a guy that's not going to Play Johan
campbell right away but will.
Speaker 4 (01:32:59):
Later so let's go to AN a to AN.
Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
F let's give it A, c, right and Then, macouba, which,
Yeah i've seen him. Play he's above. Average you, know he's.
Ranked he's the sixth. Best he's the sixth best safety
in the, draft AND i would put him at number
eight Because i'd Put Xavier wats well ahead of him
(01:33:21):
even though you know he's not ranked that. Way and
you're practically in the third round at that, point because
you're end of the second. Round then they had to
trade up to get some. People Ty robinson defensive, Tackle nebraska.
Kids the kid is a, backup.
Speaker 4 (01:33:42):
Backup. Scenario Grid.
Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
Body, yeah, basically you, know it's.
Speaker 5 (01:33:49):
Conception in the line, though because so.
Speaker 3 (01:33:54):
Yeah, No i'm you, Know i'm just saying as much
as you could be. Right it's as much AS i
could be, right and as much As tony could be
right on this, one because normally The eagles knock out
out of the park and everybody's amazed with their. Draft
but this they're not gonna constantly keep doing that because
they're the age of their defense is so young that
(01:34:17):
they've already done. It if you keep doing that every,
draft you know you don't need.
Speaker 1 (01:34:22):
To you can kick it.
Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
Down the road a little bit onto The rams.
Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
Though Terrence ferguson tight, End Josiah stewart edge and by the,
way these aren't first round, picks second, round third Round
hunter out Of, Auburn, tony you were right About auburn
earlier and the reason that they could they were able
to rely on their run game with a, yeah, yeah
(01:34:49):
he was doing some stuff. There then you, know you
get Your Chris paul, Junior Chris paul's son obviously right from. Basketball,
yeah six one to twenty, two same, height white as
his dad. LINEBACKER i don't think, so more of a
he'll play safety if he gets his speed, up or
(01:35:09):
he'll be. Cut and uh, YEAH i.
Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
Actually the number seven, pick not Of, Mumpfield, mumfield well,
Yeah mumfield and.
Speaker 1 (01:35:17):
Sons you.
Speaker 5 (01:35:18):
Know, YEAH i.
Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
Think that's the only draft that actually came out Of.
Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
Pittsburgh by the, WAY i think, Listen Josiah, stewart he
was able to get in there and bend and sack
Because Mason, Graham Kenneth, grant they were occupying the middle
so hard he could never be double. Teamed and not
to say he's, bad he's. Good he's a good, player
(01:35:47):
got a lot of speed to him and. Stuff but
total c, Plus i'm giving these. Guys i'm giving these
guys a non impact. See, yeah come right, there non impact.
See and it's it's. Fair they they Got, devanta they
made some big moves in the off. Season we got
(01:36:09):
one last team, here The Houston. Texans, guys The Houston. Texans,
Yeah Jaden, Higgins Iowa. State amazing here say Another Iowa
stately we had two From ohios From Iowa.
Speaker 4 (01:36:22):
State we got two FROM Usc Jayden Reid.
Speaker 5 (01:36:26):
Lazy Scouting lazy had so.
Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
MUCH i mean it's lazy, scouting but the talent is.
There these kids are really. There yeah, yeah these kids
are going to know each. OTHER i don't like THE usc.
PICKS i like The iowa state. Picks let's let's call
it A. B i'm gonna call it A.
Speaker 1 (01:36:48):
B his, Name.
Speaker 4 (01:36:58):
Oh my, god what a what a? Beast this guy
out as that's a Mighty yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
YEAH i mean you want someone to PROTECT. C. J?
Stroud you got. Him you got them all Day wood
he marks running? Back did you need a running? Back
you don't really need that from? Us See Jalen? Reed sixth? Rounder,
cool he's, okay you got him in the sixth. Round
(01:37:27):
good another sixth round or seventh. Rounder tight End Luke
Lazy iowa six six two fifty one blocking tight.
Speaker 4 (01:37:36):
End just, yeah TOTAL b TOTAL.
Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
B not? Bad yeah YEAH b for me.
Speaker 4 (01:37:46):
Too that took longer THAN i.
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
Thought guys that we're trying to go really. Good but, yeah,
GOD i.
Speaker 4 (01:37:52):
APOLOGIZE i know time's already. Over it, is, yeah, man
it is.
Speaker 5 (01:38:00):
His.
Speaker 3 (01:38:00):

Speaker 5 (01:38:11):
Team our hour and a half recap was still faster
than the first round of the.
Speaker 1 (01:38:16):
Draft it really.
Speaker 4 (01:38:18):
Was we did about two and a half minutes per
team if you think about.
Speaker 1 (01:38:21):
It, YEAH i.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
Mean that's not that's still pretty. Quick we still have
some upcoming stories FOR i guess next week or.
Speaker 1 (01:38:37):
Whatever, yes, yeah we got plenty of stories for next.
