(00:36):
Hey everyone, I'm Jim Williams, host of the Politically Incorrect podcast. We
are in the sixty seventh day ofthe war between Israel and Hamas. What
we're going to do here on thepodcast is we're going to take a look
at the headlines from what's going onon the grid in Israel as well as

(01:00):
what's going on here in the UnitedStates. So before we get started on
the headlines, we're going to letyou watch today's briefing from Elon Levy,
who of course is the government spokespersonfor the Israeli government, and this is
his mourning briefing, all right, and then we'll hit the headlines right after

(01:26):
that. I'm Israeli government spokesman AlonLevy. This is day sixty eight of
the October seventh war. First,a brief update, and then we will
take your questions. As always,we'll start with the latest figures. Since
the start of the October seventh massacre, Hamas has fired more than twelve thousand
missiles at Israel. We are targetingthose launchers and thwarting imminent missile attacks with

(01:49):
the recent air strike taking out terroristsand shed ja Ea who are about to
fire at Israeli communities. More thantwo thousand of Hamas's rockets have misfired,
the majority landing inside Gaza and causinguntold damage and casualties there. The IDF
has notified families of the deaths offour hundred and forty four soldiers. Idea

(02:12):
fatalities have risen by ten since yesterday'supdate, with the confirmed deaths of Colonel
Itzhak Ben Bassat, Sergeant Iran Aloni, Sergeant first Class rom Hert, Major
Ben Shelley, Captain Leel Hayo, staff Sergeant Oriya Yakov, Sergeant Akhya Daskal,
Major Moshe Avran Bahon, Major RoyMeldasi, Lieutenant Colonel Tomaer Greenberg.

(02:38):
They were our finest sons, andthe whole nation's hearts broke this morning to
hear that awful news that they bravelyfell in battle. Our thoughts with their
families and made their memory be ablessing. An update on the hostages.
The number of hostages in Hamas captivitysince ten to seven has gone down to
one hundred and thirty five after IDF'sSpecial four is secured. The bodies of

(03:00):
two hostages, Eden Zakaria twenty sevenwas abducted from the Nova Music Festival and
subsequently murdered in captivity. IDF commandSergeant Major Ziv Dado thirty six was taken
hostage while on active duty on tento seven and was also murdered. Special

(03:20):
forces found their bodies underground in adensely populated area in Gaza, and their
bodies have now been returned to Israelfor burial. Of the remaining one hundred
and thirty five hostages, one hundredand sixteen are males and nineteen females.
The remaining hostages include two children, the Bibas infants, abducted together with their

(03:42):
mother. Shiri. Hamas is stillholding for a ransom the bodies of nineteen
hostages murdered in captivity since ten seven. Freeing our vulnerable hostages from the Hamas
Terra dungeons is a global fight, and we are furious that the world and
the Red Cross have not done enoughto pressure Hamas to RelA. We will
not rest until we have completed ourmission to bring them all back home.

(04:04):
There will be no one left behind. Time is running out, and none
of us are free till all ofthem are free. An operational update following
a situation assessment yesterday. Defense MinisterJoav Gallant has stated that Hamas forces in
northern Gaza, including Gaza City, are on the verge of collapse. That

(04:25):
comes after hundreds of terrorists were killedin intense fighting and hundreds more surrendered.
Israeli forces continue close quarter fighting withHamas terrorists disguised as civilians and operating out
of civilian buildings. We are operatingdeep inside Hamas's strongholds in Khan Yunis Jabalia
and shadja Ea, engaging them inface to face combat. The Golani Brigade

(04:49):
has been targeting terror infrastructure in theshdja Ea Kaspa, the marketplace where Hamas
has been operating from inside and underneathcivilian areas. Over the past day,
our forces have conducted over two hundredand fifty precise strikes on terror targets across
the Gaza Strip, and that campaigncontinues on the northern front. The IDF

(05:10):
remains on high alert to deter anyfurther aggression against our people and prevent other
actors from entering this war. Yesterdaywe saw three launches to Israeli territory from
Syria, one of those falling inan open area in Israel in response.
Overnight, IDF aircraft and tanks struckmilitary assets belonging to the Syrian Army in

(05:30):
Syrian territory. The IDF continues torespond firmly to Hasbala's unprovoked aggression from Lebanon,
including a missile attack that set offa red alert siren in Acre and
was intercepted by the Iron Dome system. The IDF has struck Hasbolla infrastructure in
Lebanon in response to those cross borderattacks, including with anti tank missiles and

(05:53):
mortar shells. An important diplomatic update, the State of Israel deplores the vote
at the United Nations General Assembly yesterdayto keep the Hamas terror regime on life
support after ten to seven. Hamascontinues to threaten us with more October seven
massacres, and any end to thefighting that leaves Hammas still standing will leave

(06:14):
it free and emboldened to massacre ourpeople again. Anyone calling for a sustainable
ceasefire with Hamas is calling to leaveits rapists free to reoffend. That will
not happen. In its vote, the General Assembly seeks to condemn us here
to a cycle of violence that weare determined to end with the end of
Hammas. Fortunately, the General Assemblydoesn't get to decide whether the Hammas terror

(06:39):
regime will survive this defensive campaign. We get to decide that, and we
will continue fighting the October seventh monsters. This week we set the diplomat babysitter
test as our standard for ending thiswar. This war will end when the
foreign diplomats trying to throw Hamas alifeline would feel safe babysitting our children in
ka Aza, Bearing or near Oz. Right now, I don't think even

(07:01):
after a humanitarian ceasefire, any ofthose one hundred and fifty three ambassadors would
volunteer to babysit children in Kaaza, and frankly, after yesterday's horrifying lapse of
judgment, we wouldn't let any ofthem near our children anyway. For our
children to sleep safely in the communitiesdestroyed on October seventh, the Hamas terror
regime will no longer be their neighbor. We thank the nine brave nations that

(07:26):
voted against Hamas, showing great moralleadership and clarity in reaffirming our duty to
defend ourselves. Chief among them ourallies in the United States, but also
Austria, the Czech Republic, Guatemala, Liberia, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua
New Guinea and Paraguay. We notethat Australia, New Zealand and Canada have
issued a joint statement demanding that Hamaslaid down its arms. We are also

(07:49):
calling on Hamas to surrender, butshould it choose to ignore that communicate,
we will continue to fight Hamas untilit is destroyed and until it is safe
for our children to slip in Kfa, Aza and Barri Again. That is
the goal of this war. Anupdate now on the humanitarian front. Yesterday
Israel opened the Kremshalam crossing for theinspection of aid trucks to Gaza, making

(08:13):
it possible to more than double theflow of aid to civilians in the Gaza
strip. Yesterday we inspected one hundredand ninety five trucks with two thousand,
seven hundred and forty tons of aidon board, and we can now facilitate
twice as much going into Gaza.We repeat Israel has placed zero restrictions,
zero on the entry of humanitarian necessitiesto Gaza, and we have approved all

(08:37):
requests, every single one to facilitatethe provision of food, water, and
medical supplies, and we have thecapacity to more than double that aid if
the un is able to deliver it. The problem is threefold. One a
backlog at Rafa. We saw thismorning aid trucks waiting for more than an
hour and a half outside Rafa waitingfor the Palestinian side to open them gate.

(09:00):
Two the fact that aid agencies arenot managing to distribute aid at the
pace that Israel is inspecting it.And three the fact that Hamas is stealing
aid while the agencies that feign concernfor civilians in Gaza are complicit with Hamas's
abuse of civilians through their silence. Now, in the interests of expediting the
delivery of humanitarian aid, the IDFis using tactical pauses to allow civilians to

(09:24):
replenish stocks. One such pause wasin place today in the Alshabora neighborhood of
Rafa from ten in the morning tilltwo in the afternoon. Now we've seen
the obscene claims by UNRA and otherPalestinian and international actors trying to blame Israel
for the humanitarian situation in Gaza tocover up for their own incompetence and the

(09:45):
fact that they are covering up forHamas. This is regrettable and we expect
people to see through this in lightof all the publicly available facts. As
Prime Minister Benjamin Netaniahu's said last night, we are determined to continue until total
victory and there can be no compromisewith the Hamas terror regime. We will
continue our defensive campaign until all ourgoals are achieved, eliminating Hamas, securing

(10:07):
the release of all the hostages, and removing any threat to our people from
the Gaza strip. That's the endof today's update. We'll now take your
questions. As always, if youcan submit those questions in advance, we'll
be able to get the necessary statisticsand data for you. But please type
your name and news agency into thechat box and we'll take your questions down.
Question from Joel Pollock from Breitbart News. How does Israel respond to President

(10:31):
Joe Biden's claims that Israel is engagedin indiscriminate bombing, that it is losing
support around the world, and thenit must remove certain parties from the government.
President Biden, our friend and Allialso stated that Israel enjoys the support
of most of the world, andwe enjoy the support of most of the
world, because the whole world sawthe atrocities that Hamas perpetrated on ten to

(10:54):
seven and understands that this war canonly end with the end of Hamas.
Now we know that perhaps some nationsare beginning to lose their nerve as difficult
images come out of Gaza as Hamasdeliberately tries to endanger and sacrifice their civilians,
sick and twisted as it is,in order to generate sympathy in the
hope that will generate pressure, inthe hope that that will stop Israel from

(11:16):
defending ourselves. But we will continuetargeting Hamas with unprecedented precision. If you
look at the statistics we have struckI believe twenty two thousand targets inside the
Gaza strip, and even if youbuy the statistics put forward by the Hamas
run Health Ministry, which we dispute, you're looking at less than zero point

(11:37):
eight casualties per strike. That isunprecedented precision. We are making efforts that
no army in history has made inorder to protect civilians in a counter terrorism
war in urban areas. We willcontinue doing everything we can in order to
protect civilians. On the other sidefrom their own leader's attempts to sacrifice them

(11:58):
and continue that precision campaign against theOctober seventh monsters and all the terrorists who
have been threatening us with more repeatOctober seven massacres. And that's why we're
grateful that the United States stands shoulderto shoulder with us, and the President
has said that the United States willcontinue sending all the material that we need
in order to continue this war untilvictory and the destruction of Hamas. Question

(12:22):
from Hannah Julian from the Jewish Press. Does the current campaign to eliminate Harmas
include its senior commands and operatives inthe Palaestinian Authority controlled territories. Every Hummas
terrorist is a dead man walking.Thank you. Okay, okay, that's

(12:43):
all. Thank you very much. We'll update you tomorrow about the timing of
the next briefing. Everyone, staysafe, please and happy hannekah, thank
you. All right. That wasYvonne Levia, spokesperson for the Israeli government,
and that was his morning briefing.Well, let's kind of begin.
Alan spoke about the hostages and herein Washington this afternoon, President Biden met

(13:11):
with the hostage families at the WhiteHouse, He along with Secretary of State
Anthony Blincoln, met with a numberof families, actually eight families who right
now have been held captive by Hamasduring the deadly October seventh attack. The

(13:35):
White House has said, and wasreiterated today by President Biden, that they
will not rest until not just theUS hostages are returned to Israel, but
of course all of them, asElon said, around one hundred and thirty

(13:56):
eight, one hundred and thirty ninehostages. Basically in the readout from the
White House which we just got, here's a quote from National Security Council spokesman
John Kirby, and he said thathe'll guarantee meeting. Of course that the
President being he, he will guaranteethem what. We're not going to lose

(14:20):
eight of their loved ones. We'renot going to stop trying to grint them
home, Kirby said as he previewedBiden's message to the families. Kirby stressed
that US officials are trying to getmore information about them and working on a
deal to bring all the hostages homenow. It should be noted that Biden,

(14:43):
while he was meeting with hostage families, Jake Sullivan. Jake Sullivan,
who is his National Security advisor,is on his way to Israel to meet
with Prime Minister Benjamin nesson Yahoo, members of his cabinet, and Israeli President

(15:05):
is A Hersol. The goal thereis to work on a strategic way to
not only better fight the war withthe help of the United States, but
at the same time doing whatever theycan, meaning Sullivan and the US team
to help return the hostages. So, Jake Sullivan en route to Israel.

(15:31):
He should be there sometime this evening. He'll be meeting tomorrow with netting Yahoo
and the cabinet and President Herzog. So we'll give you updated on that.
Let's talk about Congress and getting outof town with passing any aid to Israel

(15:52):
in Ukraine. Okay. President Bidenalong with Senateority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority
Leader Mitch McConnell are closing in ona deal, all right, the hold
up for the money for Ukraine andIsrael as well as the southern border and

(16:18):
Taiwan, which is one hundred andsix million dollar, billion dollar deal which
President Biden has put forth and ithas been championed and headed through the Senate
by Chuck Schumer. The holdup isthat the money on the southern border is

(16:40):
not the issue. The issue isthe Republicans want changes to some of the
issues. They're some of it goingback to perhaps even some former President Trump's
policies to be re enacted. Idon't believe that's what's going to happen.

(17:02):
I think that they're going to strikea deal. It is not going to
come by Friday, which is whenCongress will be leaving for the holiday.
Okay, it will be coming inJanuary. Both sides want to do a
deal, all right, and neitherof them want to be involved in holding

(17:22):
up aid that is desperately needed bythe Ukraine and by Israel. So it
won't come in time for the Friday'sholiday break, but I expect it soon
afterwards, in the first couple ofweeks of January, barring any unforeseen problems,
and heaven knows that dealing with Congress, there's any number of problems that

(17:48):
can come up. But I thinkthat they're going to get that deal passed.
We will keep you posted on it, but you know, we have
two days to get that done, and I don't think that's going to happen.
But President Lynsky was here yesterday inWashington, d C. And had
an opportunity to meet with both Republicansand Democrats, and he understands that they

(18:15):
all feel strongly about getting funding tohim. It's really a matter of domestic
issues, not international issues that isholding that up. Okay, all right,
let's move to another point that Elinspoke about, and that's a convoy
of eighty trucks for guys. Itwas sent from Egypt to Carem Shalom crossing

(18:38):
for checks on Tuesday afternoon. Thenew inspection system was opened in an effort
to accelerate aid, and since aiddeliveries began on October twenty, supplies have
been entering Gaza from Egypt and they'vebeen in a loop basically from Rafa to

(18:59):
be inspected at the I was ona crossing on Egypt's border with Israel.
Okay, Now, as you heardfrom Alan, the amount of humanitarian aid
that's getting through is being held upin a bottleneck basically by the agencies who

(19:19):
are going to use that aid toget it to the folks in the Gaza
strips. So right now, it'snot an issue of you know, Israel
delivering enough aid it's a matter ofwhether or not the agencies who have been

(19:41):
tasked with getting that aid to thefolks you know in Gaza that need it
getting it there. So right nowIsrael is getting aid there. They now
have two border crossings that they're using, and h at this point in time,

(20:02):
we will see how things continue towork. One would hope that those
tasks with the distribution of the aidwould be able to step up the speed
with which they get it to thePalestines who are in need of it.

(20:22):
Okay, So that's that particular headline. Let's move up. Unfortunately, today,
as I believe Elain also talked aboutin his update, nine Israeli soldiers
were killed as ground defensive continues inGazi. Attack was in an urban area,

(20:44):
very dense neighborhood. Came after repeatedrecent claims that the Israelian military that
had broken Mars's command structure in northernGaza. So we are sorry to hear
about loss of life of the Israelisoldiers. And that is unfortunately something that

(21:07):
happens when you are in close contactas they are in situations like that.
All right, So those are basicallyyour headlines for day sixty seven. Of
this war, and we are goingto keep you posted every day with both
Elon's press briefing as well as theheadlines as we can get them in and

(21:32):
quickly get them to use. That'swhat we're going to be doing, and
so we're going to be doing thatalong with guests that will be coming on.
We're going to have members of thepress who cover this both on the
ground in Israel as well as herein the United States, lawmakers and others
who will be coming to visit ushere on the Politically Correct Podcasts. So
