(00:20):
Maybe want to welcome to this editionof the Politically Incorrect Podcast. I'm Jim
Lynk joining me, Alan Steinberg andAllen You know, we do these things
on Friday so that we can tryto soak in as much as we can
of what has happened this week, and so many things, so little time.
(00:41):
Let's talk for a moment. I'llgive you the floor. What was
one of the or two of thethings that popped out at you this week.
The two most significant events were thefollowing. Number one relates to a
theme I have having my columns overthe last three weeks. I have expressed
a belief that the law and ordermessage of Donald Trump was going to backfire,
(01:07):
and I based out on my feelingthat over the past fifty years,
America has become a much less racistcountry, a much more tolerant country.
I go all the way back towhen I was in college at Northwestern and
George Wallace came to Cicero, Illinois, and I remember the hatred that just
permeated that whole rally. We stillhave systemic racism in America, and it
(01:33):
has to be a top priority forus to eliminate it. But on the
other hand, rank and file.America is a much better place, and
I contended that this message would backfire. I'm not always right, but in
this case, I was right onthe money. And the news came out
this morning, and this is hugethat the Trump campaign is going to be
(01:53):
pulling all its advertisements dealing with thelaw and order team. Now, there
are two aspects of that that arecomplicated. Number One, Donald is very
undisciplined, and I don't see himstaying off this issue. You know,
racism is at this man's core.I can't see him staying away. At
fact, last night he went tothis event and he talked about how our
(02:17):
education in America was Marxist. Hewent into the total overdrive and he made
the statement that you know, hewas coming up with something basically the counter
the seventeen seventy the sixteen o nineFoundation. He said he was gonna have
something called the seventeen seventy six Foundation. It was going to take issue with
(02:38):
all the theories that America is racistand all the rest. I mean,
this is Donald trying to vindicate hisGeorge wallaceide view, and that's one of
the few sincere, it's evil, sincere aspects of the man and he can't
get off it. But that leadsto a second thing. The poll this
week. There are polls that askdifferent questions, but the most sugnificant poll
(03:00):
of the week to me was theIPSOS Reuter's Pole and they asked questions on
what was the most important issue tothe voters, to white suburban voters is
what they focused on. What theyfound was the law and order was a
distant third, almost fourth place. The top two issues were having a response
(03:23):
to the coronavirus number one and numbertwo is restoring trust in America. On
both those issues, Joe Biden wipesthe floor with Donald Trump. So I
think the outlook is stronger and strongerfor a Biden victory. He has a
debate coming up next Thursday. Unlesshe made some monumental error in the debate,
(03:46):
when I don't see him doing that, you know, I think this
reputation that he has for gas isreally overblown and overplay. He'll do well
in the debate. It's Donald Trumpthat'll do poorly. Because based on what
we saw on the ABC Town meetingevent last Tuesday, and I one he
was with George Stephanopolis, he wasterrible. I think the out look for
(04:09):
a Biden victory is growing, perhapsa buch bigger landslide than people will expect.
You know, I was just goingto talk about the comparing contrast of
the Stephanopolis interview in town hall meetingin relatively the same area. You know,
he was in Philadelphia and Joe wasin Scranton yesterday doing his CNN thing,
(04:34):
And it was interesting how out oftouch the president was. Not that
I'm stunned, but you know,he literally tried to bs his way through
a town hall meeting and there werea lot of people that weren't having it.
(04:54):
Compared that to Biden last night. You know, he had a few
gaffs, there's no question about it. But you know, throughout the entire
evening he was on topic, andhe really drove home the issue of and
this this kind of resonated. Hekind of morphed the COVID nineteen argument into
(05:15):
the argument for a stronger version ofyou know, the Affordable Care Act two
point zero UM and and he wasvery strong on the fact that, by
the way, you do realize thatthe President United States is trying to take
away your pre existing conditions, andso he he I thought a lot of
(05:38):
boy he said last night resonated, you know, with many different constituents.
But I thought those two points weregood. There was one that was kind
of I'm not quite sure where thisis going to go. And that's because,
as you know, we're both fromthe originals, from the state of
Pennsylvania. Fracking is something in thestate of Pennsylvania. There is a hot
(06:00):
topic and I think Joe kind ofdanced around it last night. I don't
think he really addressed it, buthe did his best, and he's you
know, I think he's if I'mnot a paraphraseer because I can't apport him
exactly, but I think what you'retalking about is we can continue fracking into
we get to a point where wedon't need to go, you know,
(06:23):
that direction and the energy, butas a bridge, we can continue to
do it. So I don't knowwhere that's gonna fall. But for the
most part, I think his debate, I'm sorry, just this account Hall
was very coherent and had a themeto it where Trump's was done. Yes,
I agree with that assessment. Ithink Trump has a new issue,
(06:45):
which he probably thinks it is greatfor him, but it is a silver
boy that his heart and that isthe emergence of William Barr. I'm doing
the political emergence. I'm doing acall him this ways gong to be called
is William Barr America's first fascist AttorneyGeneral? And I mean every word I
(07:06):
say with that, because he isbasically adopted the tenants of fascism. The
Best Guy to Fascism is a bookby Jason Stanley of Yale University, and
he talks about fascism is not reallyso much in governing ideology as it is
a way of obtaining power and maintainingpower. And that's what they're doing.
(07:29):
Uh, you know they they forexample, this seventeen seventy six move is
a way of establishing white supremacy asthe prevailing ideology. Their constant defense of
police brutality is something that is inline with fascism, and they're their terming
(07:54):
of protesters as revolutionaries is the ultimate. Bar actually investigated the possibility of trying
protesters for sedition, that is theultiment of a repressive society. And then
finally bar termed compared the shutdowns, the lockdowns for the coronavirus. He compared
(08:16):
that with slavery. How could youhave a more odious, racist, nefarious
comparison than that. And as Iheard this, I said to myself,
you know, I'm really terrified forthis country for what you know we're going
through. It's it's something that makesme feel like I'm living in a revival
(08:37):
of McCarthyism very much. So,well, let's put a cherry on the
top of what you just said byalso sliding the fact that he attempted to
look into his power to arrest themayor of Portland. Yes, glad,
(08:58):
he's a mayor of Seattle. Itwas always he was going after Seattle,
that was going after the air Portly, no, the may of Seattle.
Okay, he mentioned, yeah, that that all came out in the midst
in Seattle has that special zone andthey were just use that as a pretext.
(09:20):
But but it's really out of outof control right now. I have
not lived in an air like thisin my life. Well, no,
I'm confident. I'm confident that weare going to be We're going to get
our country back on November third, although it's going to take a couple of
days of the count At the sametime, at the same time, it's
(09:43):
frightening that Americas come to this point. Really, I mean the thing that
this week You're right, the barrevelations um in how far bar clearly as
well to go UM. I meanthere's a scenario that's been painted that UM
(10:05):
because Republicans tend to vote um inperson and Democrats this time around, UM
look as if they're gonna really scorebig on the on the on the mail
in vote. That potentially Trump couldbe, you know, leading in the
(10:26):
vote count um in on the morningand the fourth of November, but with
plenty of ballots left to go tocount and that Barr might just declare that
that's the way, that's that's thecount and freeze everything. Now, legally,
(10:46):
I don't see how he can dothat, but you know, it's
not the first time that Peace donethings that have challenged the legal system.
He did something last night I've neverheard an attorney general, even when Robert
Kennedy, the brother of Jack Kennedy, was the attorney general, he basically
gave a campaign pitch for Trump.Yeah, he said that we're headed towards
(11:11):
socialism unless Donald Trump is reelected. That is absolutely an inappropriate use of his
bully pulpit. He has a rightus as bully pulpit for the Trump agenda.
That's all together appropriate, but tomake a direct appeal for his election
is not inappropriate. But Bill,I have just come to be outraged by
(11:35):
Bill Barr. I used to thinkthat John Mitchell under Nixon was the worst
attorney general we've ever had. Ithink that John Mitchell, compared to Bill
Barr was John Marshall. I thinkthis guy is by far the worst danger
to our system of ordered liberty inAmerican history, you know, not for
(11:58):
nothing category. Yesterday, while barwas making headlines, FBI Director Christopher Ray
was testifying on Capitol Hill, andDirector Ray specifically said that when asked,
(12:20):
do we have a domestic terrorism problemin this country, and the director answered
yes, and then he proceeded tolay out that by a score of ten
more than so to speak, thewhite supremacist groups are the most dangerous groups
(12:43):
in the United States. And whenasked about Antifa, which of course is
the boogeyman which the President would likeyou to think is going to permeate the
suburbs and has caused all the riotsthat they, according to Chris Ray,
found no credible evidence that Antifa hadanything to do with anything. I couldn't
(13:11):
agree with you more. I couldn'tagree with you more on that subject.
And I am not an leftist,I am not pro antifas. But he
made the point that antifa is notan organization. It is a maintenment.
It is not a movement advocating violence, by the way, although some people
subscribe to their ideology of use violence, but it is not a movement that
(13:33):
advocates violence. And the attempt bythe Trump administration to equate them with the
white supremisis and to play down whitesupremisis as an abusive power, it is
outrageous and it is absolutely a breachof the president's open office. You know.
The other thing that Chris Ray broughtup was that unlike the militia groups
(13:58):
in the white supremis groups, Antifaisn't even truly an organization in the United
States. It's it is a movement. But what I'm saying is it's not
even a coherent movement. That's true. So you know that it lacks the
cohesion that you have with these whitesupremacist organizations as well as you know,
(14:20):
the militia organizations. So you know, even if you try to make that
theory of the case, It justit doesn't it doesn't hold up. But
you know, and then of coursethe President goes on Twitter on his way
to Wisconsin and and be rates theman who he picked because he fired the
(14:43):
other fire. So you know,it's it's it's almost an all the term
universe where the presid the United Statesis fighting with people who he appointed.
I have to I have to tellyou the degree of incoherence on his part,
(15:03):
aside from the substance being repulsive tome, incoherent, frightening, you
know, he tries to and theother factor is that he is willing to
go places in the US of alack of coherent message that no one else
would go. For example, rightnow, he's making the argument that Biden
(15:24):
is basically as a senile person withthe is also pedophile. And that's how
patious. I can't I can't imagineany candidate of either party or even someone
like a George Wallace that ever wouldhave been willing to do that. No,
that's but the worst thing was JaredKushner, who I think it is
(15:50):
then of politics, he goes onwith Wolf Flipser, and Wolf, let's
ass him. Let's ask him whatdo you think of your father in law
trying to term Joe Biden is apedophile. Don't you think that's outrageous?
And the response of Jared Kushner was, well, the great thing about Donald
(16:14):
Trump is he's always transparent, youknow what he thinks. I couldn't believe
that one. I couldn't believe thathe was in any way acquiescing in the
notion that what Donald Trump is doingis correct and proper. I agree with
what I'm trying to remember exactly whoit was. I I think it was
(16:34):
Dana Milbank who who said that.Oh, I remember it was you know
how Range who said that Jared couldn'tget a job as a congressional intern,
let alone the special assistant to thePresident of the United States. Yall,
(16:56):
personally, I prefer the one givenby Donnie Deutsch, and that is that
he should. His next job isgoing to be selling condos in Boca anyway,
tell you what, let's step aside, take a quick break, we'll
come back. We can talk aboutsome continue to fallout from Bob Woodward's book,
(17:18):
as well as a quick look atthe election. As we are just
a little over forty days out,so stay with us. We'll be back
with more of the Politically Incorrect Podcastwith Jim Williams and Alan Steinberg right after
this. Hey, folks, let'stalk a little bit about my new friends
at ground News. Now. It'san app that I've got on my phone
(17:45):
and we're all newsies, right.I mean, let's be honest, you
wouldn't be listening to the Politically IncorrectPodcast if you didn't like the news.
And you know, one of thethings we like about the news, or
we hope to like about the news, is that the news is not bs.
That we know that the news we'regetting is real news and not news
(18:10):
that has a slant to it oneway or the other. World, there's
a way to make certain that youknow that the news you are getting where
it's coming from, whether it's slantedone way or the other. Look in
many ways, all news in someways or biased right, and the reporters
may add bias language consciously or unconsciously, but the outcome is the same.
(18:36):
You get biased news and it impactshow you see the world. Not Ground
News is a brand new app andit's easy. You can get it at
the Google Play Store and get atthe App Store for those of you who
are on the Apple devices, andit's free and downloaded. It provides readers
with objective data about the underlying politicalbias in published news stories. Again,
(19:03):
as we said before, either consciouslyor unconsciously, there is always a little
bit of bias. But how muchand where's it coming from? Well,
that's why ground News does. GroundNews synthesizes this for you and breaks it
down in a fascinating way. It'struly fascinating. It's you, frankly,
(19:25):
It's a groundbreaking, first ever newscomparison platform. There's nothing like it.
Ground News collects data from over fiftythousand news sources, runs it in real
time media bias tracking. Then thecoverage bias rating is given visually shown alongside
the story. So for every storyyou read, you can compare how reporting
(19:47):
differs across sources with different political biases. See if the coverage for the stories
chus more to left or to theright. Hopefully, hopefully it's somewhere in
the middle. I mean, thisis a news person's dream. Okay,
this is geek out stuff. Okay, you guys are going to freak out
(20:08):
about it. It is so muchfun. Ground News represents the larger movement
the people who frankly are fed upwith traditional, high politicized news. No
one wants to be spoon fed ideassuddenly influenced. No way, don't want
that. Ground News gives power tothe people. So you can make up
(20:30):
your own mind. And look,if I know anything about you folks who
follow us on the Politically Incorrect Podcast, you all have your own minds.
I've been on Twitter with you.I know this, my friends, is
going to be something you're going tohave a lot of fun with. But
at the same time, and Ireally don't want this to go unnoticed.
(20:53):
At the same time, you're havingfun and being able to really use their
little met to decide which you know, where's it coming from? Is the
soul? This is a highly conservativepublication? Is it a highly liberal publication?
Where is it on the spectrum? It is a lot of fun,
But more importantly, you know wherethat news is coming from, and you
(21:18):
know how close to the middle itreally is. And look, that's all
you can ask for, folks. But I'll tell you what. Because ground

You're gonna want it, You're gonnaneed it. As we get through
connect sixty five days trying to decidejust exactly who's telling the truth in the
media. Welcome back everybody, JimWilliams, Allen Steinberg, Alan. We
have a situation where you know youtalked about the Attorney general. Basically we
(23:37):
are there's a number of things thathave gone on. Lawsuits as such,
two key lawsuits that were settled incourt yesterday, one having to do with
Pennsylvania and their ability to extend thevoter registration and I'm sorry, voter registration
(24:00):
for mail in ballots. In themail in ballot counts, so in other
words, if you mail it butand it is postmark prior to the date
of the election, which of courseis November three, they still have to
count the ballot. And the otherwe're of course having to do with the
(24:21):
fact that there does not seem tobe voter fraud in any other to the
degree of any way, shape orform that the president in Attorney General Barr
would like you to think. Well, it just it just reinforces the point
that voter fraud is very very limitedin this country because it's very easily detectable
(24:49):
and it's very quickly accountable, soit doesn't exist in any significant form.
But I think as we're looking atthe election, though Biden is prepared.
He operationally is one of the bestcandidates I've seen he And there's an article
in the New York Times how hehas a post election unit. Some of
(25:11):
the people are well known in NewJersey, but he has two former solicitors
general on that squad. That's excellentprepared for anything follow the election. And
I think that, you know,he's learned out through the years what happened
in other elections, and he hasto be I think as far as the
election itself, I'm getting very confident. It's amazing because I left the Republican
(25:37):
Party. I haven't joined the DemocraticParty, but I wanted to Democratic takeover
the Senate because of what I thinkis the hopeless pollution of the Republican Party
with racism. Right now, Iwant a Democratic takeover and I think we're
going to get it. I'll giveyou the seats as to my reason why,
I think the Republicans will pick upthe seat over in Alabama, but
(26:03):
I think the Democrats are virtually certainto pick up seats in North Carolina with
Cal Cunningham. I think They're goingto pick up a seat with Sarah Gideon.
In Maine, I think they're Theybasically have already won the race in
UH Colorado, where Corey Gardner isup and former Governor hick and Hooper actually
(26:26):
current Governor hick and Hooper is runningagainst him, I think for a winner,
and I think the outlook is verygood for the Democrats to win in
UH Montana with Mike Bullock, Ithink the outlook is very good for them
to win and uh, you know, with an surgeon candidate in Iowa.
(26:49):
And I have mixed emotions about thisone because I used to like Lindsey Graham
and I've turned against him very strongly. But I think he's in a lot
of trouble. He's only running evenlyUH in South Carolina against Jamie Harrison,
and Jamie Harrison is a very goodcandidate. So the outlook for the Democrats
(27:11):
to capture the Senator is excellent.Well, I think that you know,
um, at the moment, itlooks like if if things hold tight and
true, that they'll end up atfifty fifty two forty nine, I think
(27:32):
up of three seats assuming Biden iselected president the only and then need four
no four if he's not elected, right, right, right? Okay,
Um, but I think you're right. I think that, um, what
we're seeing right now is a it'sit's almost alternative reality because these guys.
(28:00):
I think Susan Collins has to lose. I mean, that just has to
happen, and and I think shewill in Maine. But at the end
of the day, I think thatwhat we're seeing is these candidates. I
mean Susan Collins went to the extentduring a debate of saying, when asked
are you going to support the presidentin it in the election in twenty twenty,
(28:22):
she she basically said, I haveto think about it now. I
mean, are you kidding me?Had she outright repudiated the president, she
would be in pretty strong shape inthis race. But she just waffled and
wavered, particularly on the Supreme Courtappointments, and she just came person with
(28:48):
no backbone at all. I thinkthat her, you know her, there's
been a disaster from a political pointof view. So I think I think
Sara Gideon has a chance of thevictory in that race. Yeah. You
know. The other thing is we'vebeen around this game long enough to know
(29:15):
that the old saying, which seemsto be cliche, really isn't. And
that is when you try to pleaseeverybody, end up pleasing no one.
And I think that's where Susan Collinsis. Certainly in the last two years,
it's gone. She's tried to reallyto make it fee it look like
no, no, no, I'mreally independent, I can do this,
and then all of a sudden sheholds like a cheap suit on situations where
(29:38):
she could have shown that she hada profile encourage, but that doesn't seem
seems like the only one that thatremembers what the Republican Party used to stand
forward Mit Romney. Yeah, andthat's why Romney is in a strong position.
He would be in a stronger positionif he could recruit some publicans to
(30:00):
his cause. That's the one mysterythat I have not come to any conclusions
asked to. And that's what whatis going to happen to the Republican Party
after this election, because I thinkit's going to be a very brutal nashing
of teeth and internal struggle coming up. Well, I think there's no question
(30:21):
about it. You've got Trump whowill likely started his own network, who
will likely make it seem like youknow Fox, you know is MSNBC,
and he'll play the role of kingmaker. That's what he's going to try.
I don't know if he will. You know, I think that trump fish
(30:41):
will continue to be active. Ithink the followers of Trump will continue to
be very strong. But he looksphysically terrible, and I think he's running
out of jazz and if he picksthe right people like all I'm saying,
he's from a network standpoint, right, he can right. I don't disagree
(31:02):
with the idea that he may tryto get his own network, but I
think you're going to see him receivetsomewhere. He does not look healthy,
and I know he has this bigego, but at a certain point the
realities of health have to govern whatyou're gonna do. Well, yeah,
yeah, I think you're right.I think the key point there too is
(31:27):
how. I mean how. I'mfumbling at the words because it's just it's
hard to fathom. Here's a partythat has spurned the you know, people
who may I may disagree with butI certainly don't disrespect them. And I'm
(31:48):
talking about obviously the Bush family withJeb and his situation. Um, you
know, there's a governor in thestate of Maryland, Governor Larry Hogan Um,
and obviously Dwine in Ohio and Kasikand I. I mean there's a
(32:09):
lot of Democrats, a lot ofRepublicans who you know, we're part of
the old Guard, and they've beenpushed aside. I don't see how,
you know, how they're going toget welcomed back in because this new group
is not a welcoming group. No, No, it's in fact, it
(32:31):
does not seem to have any strategyfor extending its fatheries. Well, it's
just it's kind of like they're justtrying to make their base more intense.
That that doesn't win your elections.Right. Well, when George W.
Bush won his second term, hewon it with a very strong Latino following,
(32:59):
and that Latine following has fallen wayoff since you know, Bush was
elected. And Bush, look,George W. Bush, I respect him.
I respected him as someone who actuallyI did business with him when you
know, we were getting the TexasRangers rights and he was still involved with
(33:22):
the Rangers, as you know,as the managing partner. He's not in
some regards. I look at himas the in Joe Biden in in the
same light in a couple of ways. One never people always thought that neither
of these guys were very you know, we were challenged when it came to
(33:47):
being public speakers, but when pushcame to shoven you had to do it.
Bush could deliver a very powerful message. And and genuinely, what do
you disagree with him? Or didn'tyou know that the core they're good people.
(34:07):
And so, as I say,you can disagree with people, which
is fine, But I never disrespectedGeorge W. Bush at all because I
knew him to be a good person. It was very good, very very
decent. I worked for him,and I said, that was the thing
(34:28):
that always struck you when you left. You said, you know, I'm
working for someone who was profoundly decent. I got a quick a quick story
which you'll appreciate. Nicole Wallace wastalking about a bit which I had actually
heard before this, But it wasthe difference between Trump watching television and George
(34:53):
W. Bush watching tell us wasas we all remember that that Keith Oberman
was at MSNBC and in doing theprimetime show at at eight o'clock, and
Keith had, you know, reallylit into George W. Bush about something
(35:15):
or another. Well, the wholepress shop is all freaked out about this,
and how is the President going toreact to what Keith had said?
So Nicole goes in with the withthe press you know team, to sit
down and go over their morning briefingwith the President, and she has the
President Bush. You know, Idon't know if you saw it, but
(35:37):
whatever Keith said last night, wecan we can go out and strongly rebuke
it. Don't worry, We've gotthis handle. And he said, why
would Keith Oberman talk about me onSports Center? And so it was he
was oblivious to the fact that KeithOberman was with the ESPN anymore, which
(36:00):
goes again to prove that when GeorgeW. Bush just chose to watch television,
it normally was some sporting event,it was maybe some entertainment program.
It was not. He didn't hedidn't spend his entire time watching you know,
cable news. Well, because hewasn't obsessed with what his critics might
(36:24):
say. Right, he wanted toknow, but it wasn't an obsession with
him, Donald Trump, the amountof television he watched over the past week
it got out. It was justincredible, and he's not doing his work
as president. It's just unbelievable.Well, you know, now there is
(36:45):
advantage this weekend. Okay, weknow how a golf fan he is,
and the US Open golf tournament isbeing played this weekend. Perhaps perhaps we
might get a respite from the tweetstorms, um from because of the US
Open being around. Okay, ifwe kind of hey, look you can
(37:09):
dream, right, you can dream. Let's think. Let's go over some
final thoughts here. As I said, there were a couple of but more
revelations that came out of Worldward's book, specifically about the generals, you know,
being terrified of what he may ormay not do. And um,
(37:30):
I think at the end of theday, Bob's book has held up very
um, very well. And Idid have a conservative talk show host who
I've we're speaking to the other day. I will make it so he remains
nameless. But he said to megaswho in their right mind during their presidency
(37:52):
invites Bob Woodward into the office andexpects them to like him. Well,
that's absolutely true. But I knowwhy Trump did it because Woodward had written
that book right, the Trump's cooperation had gone very badly. And Trump
(38:15):
absolutely is such a narcissist and egotistthat he thought that he could charm Woodward
and to give him a much betterinterview, a much better outcome. And
it was foolishness. You know.He was doing with the top professional and
he was going on his ground, right, he would not drive his presstaff
(38:36):
crazy. But I don't know how. Such as they are, well,
that's the point, Yes, suchas they are. Yeah, it's it's
really funny. I mean, there'sa lot of crazy going on here.
Um, let's talk about your socialI'm sorry, there's some ulterior force drying
(38:58):
to break in here. My socialmedia is My Twitter is at a Steinberg
six thirteen. My Facebook page isAlan Joel Steinberg, and you can read
my columns on Insider NJA dot comspecial thanks to our partner in crime,
(39:20):
Alan Steinberg. Moving back with somefinal thoughts right after this, Hey,
folks, let's talk a little bitabout my new friends at ground News.
Now. It's an app that I'vegot on my phone and we're all newsies,
right, I mean, let's behonest, you wouldn't be listening to
the Politically Incorrect podcast if you didn'tlike the news. And you know,
(39:44):
one of the things we like aboutthe news, but we hope to like
about the news, is that thenews is not bs. That we know
that the news we're getting is realnews in not news has a slant to
it one way or the other.World, there's a way to make certain
(40:05):
that you know that the news youare getting where it's coming from, whether
it's slanted one way or the other. Look in many ways, all news
in some ways or biased right, and the reporters may add bias language consciously
or unconsciously, but the outcome isthe same. You get biased news and
(40:25):
it impacts how you see the world. Now, Ground News is a brand
new app and it's easy. Youcan get it at the Google Play Store
and get at the App Store forthose of you who are on the Apple
devices, and it's free and downloaded. It provides readers with objective data about
(40:46):
the underlying political bias in public's newsstories. Again, as we said before,
either consciously or unconsciously, there isalways a little bit of ISAs but
how much and where's it coming from? All that's why ground Neews does.
Ground News synthesizes this for you andbreaks it down in a fascinating way.
(41:09):
It's truly fascinating. It's you know, frankly, it's a groundbreaking, first
ever news comparison platform. There's nothinglike it. Ground News collects data from
over fifty thousand news sources, runsit in real time media bias tracking.
Then the coverage bias rating is givenvisually shown alongside the story. So for
(41:32):
every story you read, you cancompare how reporting difference cross sources with different
political biases. See if the coveragefrom the story excuse more to left or
to the right, hopefully, hopefullyit's somewhere in the middle. I mean,
this is a news person's dream.Okay, this is geek out stuff.
(41:54):
Okay, you guys are going tofreak out about it. It is
so much fun. Ground News representsthe larger boom. But the people who,
frankly, are fed up with traditional, high politicized news. No one
wants to be spoon fed ideas suddenlyinfluenced. No way, don't want that.
(42:15):
Ground News gives power to the people, so you can make up your
own mind. And look, ifI know anything about you, folks who

I've been on Twitter with you.I know this, my friends, is
going to be something you're going tohave a lot of fun with. But
(42:37):
at the same time, and Ireally don't want this to go unnoticed.
At the same time you're having funand being able to really use their little
meter to decide which you know, where's it coming from? Is this so
this is a highly conservative publication,is a highly liberal publication? Where is
(42:59):
it on the spectrum? It isa lot of fun, But more importantly,
you know where that news is comingfrom, and you know how close
to the middle it really is.And look, that's all you can ask
for, folks. But I'll tellyou what. Because Ground News are such
