In this episode, I am talking about Pride month! In my time as a pastor, people would ask me about my stance on homosexuality. As a remember of the alphabet mafia, my stance is one that affirms my identity with a theological perspective that I share on this episode.
Did you know that pride began as a protest? It is an uprising against police violence and is an act of resistance to the empire. Pride was founded out of the efforts of Queer and Trans Black and Brown women and gender non-conforming persons. This is also shared on this epside.
And finally, we go there in regards to rainbow capitalism and rainbow washing. It is time that these big corporations start putting their money where there mouth is rather than presenting that they care about the LGBTQIA community.
