(00:43):
talk about the happyology in business. So before I get into the meat of
things for today, I just wantto talk about a guest appearance. I'm
going to have this coming Wednesday, the twenty second of September at eight thirty
am Eastern Standard Time on ig Liveon the page of Her Honor. So
(01:07):
I'm gonna be posting more details onthat on my Instagram so that you can
actually check it out from there. But it's this Wednesday at eight thirty Come
through Support. Would love to seeyour beautiful face in the place to be
on Wednesday at eight thirty am forthose that get up early in the morning
and it's ready to go, andI'll be talking about mental health, so
(01:30):
keeping the party going. Yesterday Iposted about happiness right on my Instagram and
I listed three ways that are essentialfor you to achieve happiness. I'm not
going to get into all the detailsof the post. You'll have to go
and check it out for yourself, right, But I promised in that post
(01:53):
I would share in my podcast moreinsights on happiness and business. Right.
So here we are. Guys.If you're new, understand I don't like
to be on long I don't liketo take up a lot of your time,
so this will be a very quickpodcast. Listen. When it comes
(02:14):
to happiness, you know, happinessreally becomes kind of like a duty.
It can make people feel worse ifthey fail to accomplish it only only only
when you are not in alignment withthe things that you really should be doing
(02:38):
in life. So happiness and businessis the focus of this particular podcast.
In therapy, we follow a frameworkof what we call cognitive behavioral therapy.
A lot of y'all may have heardof that before CBT, some of y'all,
I have a lot of therapists thatlike to chime in to some of
(03:00):
the things I'm saying. Shout outto all of my therapists folks in the
field doing a thing on the grind, helping to heal those that we serve.
Right, So, cognitive behavioral therapybasically just means how your thoughts and
your behaviors aligned, so essentially, what you think you do. So if
(03:25):
you think you aren't good enough, then you're going to perform as though you
are not good enough. But theopposite can also happen too, So you
can think you aren't good enough, and as a result of knowing this or
thinking this, you perform at arate that improves your productivity. So the
(03:46):
point again is that you is thatwhat you think determines actually what you do.
That is CBT. According to Universityof Oxford, happy workers are thirteen
percent more productive. Happy workers arethirteen percent more productive. So if you
(04:11):
are happy, you're probably going tobe more productive. Interesting enough, researchers
at the University of Oxford also founda gene that predisposes people to experience conditions
around them more intensely, and thiscan contribute to happiness as well. There's
(04:33):
a gene that pre can't talk today. That predisposes people to experience conditions around
them more intensely, and this cancontribute to happiness as well. There is
a happiness genes guys. Can youbelieve that there's a gene of happiness?
(04:54):
Happiness guys is linked to overall wellbeing, decree these mental illness and increased
lifespan. Happy entrepreneurs are better decisionmakers, better at reducing cost, making
sure their staff have what is needed, and they take pride and self care
(05:18):
as a leader. Happiness leads tobetter relationships and increased productivity. According to
the University of California Riverside. Simplyput, happy people put in more effort
and accomplish more positive outcomes. So, I want to hear from you.
(05:40):
This is where you step in.I want to hear from y'all. Do
you think this is all true orfalse? Is happiness overrated? Is it
real? Can you achieve it?Do you think there's a gene? A
happiness gene? So was on FoxSoul a few nights ago. I talked
about happiness. Actually, I wason a panel with actors and comedians and
(06:04):
talking about does money buy you happinessand you'll actually be surprised at the stance
that I had to take, butI'll save that talk for another day.
Regardless, one thing that I've learnedis that happiness is an emotional state that
is readily available for us to tapinto. We simply have to choose it.
(06:27):
You have to choose happiness, andsome of us have it just innately
within us. If it's a genie, then it's already there. You just
have to tap into it. Choosehappiness today. You won't regret it,
Guys. You can choose it.So that person that pulls over in front
of you, that cuts you off, you choose how you respond to them.
(06:50):
And that choice is predicated on allthe things that you've experienced, excuse
me, either that day, theday before, or within your life.
Your experience and totality comes out inthat moment. So for some you might
need anger management. I don't know. I'm just saying. I am just
(07:13):
saying so that you can actually tapinto that happiness on a regular basis.
You will have to follow me,guys on social media at Veron de Bellamy

I'm onto something I really am whatyou're hearing. The vibe you're getting.

I think I have a business genein me somewhere. So that's all I
have for you about happiness. Ihope that this share is some insight with
(08:20):

business, you can be successful inbusiness, that as a leader. For
