(00:03):
This morning, I feel led topray for you. I want to pray
that you will begin to see yourselfas God sees you, that you will
begin to conduct yourself even more asGod leads you. That you will continue

(00:42):
in your dedication to God, inthis legacy that you're creating with him,
and leave him for for eternal glory. For everything that you do today,

(01:06):
every decision you make, every thoughtyou think, is another page on your
journey. So what do you wantyour legacy to look like? If a

(01:26):
day is a page in your chapteror in your book, what do you
want it to represent? What doyou want people to gather from it?
And beyond all of that, whatdo you want God to get from it?

(01:52):
So I was sitting here and Iread Romans six and seven, and
Roman seven specifically talks about marriage andhow we as believers, how God sees

(02:13):
us and the relationship between us andsin and marriage, and basically what it's
saying is that before you became abeliever, you lived in sin. It's
just that simple. And it givesin an analogy of Roman seven of a

(02:40):
woman getting married and if she leavesher husband while he's alive, then she's
seen as an adulteress. But ifhe dies and she moves on, then
it's fine. She's not seen asan adulteress. And the comparison there is

(03:07):
when you become a Christian, youessentially are made new. So God doesn't
see your sin. As I'm sayingthis, I see a light. God

(03:29):
sees you as light. In fact, if I could go on and venture
out and say, we're all light, and that's how he recognizes his people
from his position, because we servea God that sits high and looks low.

(03:55):
So what does your page RepU?What will it represent? If you
are already made new through Christ, why are you still holding on to certain

(04:15):
things? If you're caught up inany type of sin, it's as simple
as stopping. It's a choice, and that choice elevates you and it aligns
with your walk. Your walk actuallyaligns with that thought, and you begin

(04:45):
to move different and live different andbe different. But it starts with you
just thinking I can do this.I can do this. For we know
that the Bible says that some ofour issue are all issues flows from where

(05:08):
the heart. So if your heartis deceiving you, which we know the
heart is deceitful to continue in yoursin, then you have to deal with
the issue of your heart. What'sin your heart that's causing you to continue
in the sin. Romans also talksabout us worn against our flesh like it's

(05:33):
a constant struggle, which means theflesh is gonna keep roaring and raging.
But so is the spirit. Soyou have to recognize that, and you
have to be willing to not succumbto your flesh, be willing to follow

(06:03):
the spirit, be willing to dealwith the matters of your heart, the
matters of your heart, because theheart is deceitful. So I pray right
now, Father God, that youwill continue to forgive your people, for

(06:28):
your word says our sins are asfar from the eases to the west.
Let us walk in that freedom.God. Let us begin to see,
Father God, that you have somuch in store for us when we obey
you, when we align ourselves withyou. For those that aren't sure if

(06:57):
they're hearing from you, God,it asks that you will give them clarity
and let them rest in your voiceand your guidance and your comfort, and
your teachings and your leadership and yourlove and your thoughtfulness and your forgetful and
your forgiveness. Let them bask init, God, all of your qualities

(07:24):
from you being a waymaker, apromise keeper. The lily in the valley,
a bomb in Gilead, and thatmeans what the bomb. It means
literally, God, is there tobe a bomb over whatever you're going through
like it's a healing bomb. Itmakes you, he makes you feel better.

(07:46):
So, Father God, to askthat you will touch their hearts God,
and let them not be deceived bytheir hearts. God. Let them
have the strength and give them thestrength to be able to stand against the
flesh. I ask, Father God, that you will forgive us of our

(08:09):
sins, the ones intentional as wellas the ones unintentional. I ask Father
God that you come right now andmeet us right where we are. God
God, for we praise your name, We glorify you, We honor you,
Father God. Hallelujah to your nameJesus. Thank you, Father God

(08:35):
for all that you've done. Thankyou, Father God for how you continue
to watch over us and keep us. Father God, thank you God for
being a good good father. Thankyou God for continuing to be a hedge
of protection. Thank you God forbeing a bomb in Gilead. Thank you
God for being the Prince of peace. Thank you God for being our master

(09:01):
our Lord, Father God. Thankyou God for being a way maker.
God. Thank you God for allthe plans that You've laid out for us.
Father God, give us the strength, God, the fortitude, the
mental capacity, the heart healing God, that we need to follow after you,
to constantly seek after you, FatherGod, God, for your always

(09:22):
their God. For you delight inour praise, Father God, you delight
in our worship of you, FatherGod Lord. I believe that faith,
God is the substance of the thingshoped for and the evidence of things not
seeing. Father God Lord, letus know and connect with your faith,
Father God. Let that faith beactivated within everyone that's listening to this prayer.

(09:43):
Father God Lord, I ask Godthat you will just wrap your loving
arms around everyone that's listening right now. God, whatever their circumstances are,
whether it's finances God, whether it'semployment, Father God, whether it's a
relationship, Father God, whether it'stheir spiritual walk, Father God, whether
it's their health, Father God God, you meet them where they are,

(10:03):
Father God Lord, you provide thehealing that they need. Right now,
Father God, I decree and declareGod that their finances are restored in the
name of Jesus Hallelujah. I decreeand declare God that their health will be
restored. Father God, I decreeand declare God that they will go deeper
and deeper and deeper and higher intheir walk and worship with you, Father

(10:26):
God God, that they will havea desire now to get up and go
walking, and to get up andexercise. God, to be a good
steward over the body that you've giventhem. Father God Lord, we just
praise you right now God for thestrength God. We praise you right now
God, for you just being foryou given us the strength God to be
able to create new lifestyles God,for us to be able to create these

(10:50):
new things that we do, FatherGod, these new morning routines, the
new evening routines, the new nighttimeroutines. God. That is a reflect
who you are. Father God.Let them not feel like it's just too
much to always think of you,Father God Lord, that their minds should
stay on you, Father God Lord. That prayer is only just so you

(11:11):
could pray in just a whisper.Father God, give them the confidence to
pray to worship You Father God,to thank you God a heart of gratitude
God, to walk in your virtues, Father God, to just be your
child and to not forget your commandsand your laws. God, we magnify

(11:33):
you, We glorify you, God, for we know that you're coming back,
and you're coming back soon. AndGod, we want to be ready.
We want to be ready. Tomorrowis not promise God, for all
we have is today and right now, even the next second is not promised
God. So Lord, let uscontinue to walk as though all we have

(11:58):
is the second that we're in rightnow. Hallelujah. Thank you God.
Let us continue to walk as thoughright now this second is all we have.
God. We thank you for beingsuch a love and and patient.
God. We thank you God forbeing available showing up on this morning,

(12:30):
and repraise your name because you're worthyof all the praise. God, send
jobs, businesses, overflow, overflow, overflow and obedience. Obedience and overflow,

(12:50):
not because we are being obedient toreceive and overflow, but because you
delight in our obedience and that activatessomething within you. Just like we have
children, and we're proud when ourchildren are obedient to us. We expect

(13:11):
them to be obedient to what wesay, and God has that same reflection
and expectation from you. So God, we thank you and we praise you.
It is in the matchless name ofJesus to Christ and our praying Amen.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
