(00:56):
Seth Cox from Revenge of the Birds dot com, Sponation
Zarson a car site and in coming off of a long,
long day, this is our fourth show show of the
week and on the second one with Seth as I
had a special at a special episode with covers dot
COM's Jason Logan. Earlier in the week, Seth and I
did our season preview, then John Sigler from Saint Swire

(01:18):
we did an opponent preview show for the game and
that is already up in Live for you to listen to.
And now it is time for Seth and I to
talk about this game. Who and you know there's a
lot of unknown for the Saints team, isn't there? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It makes it tough, man. I did my preview with
with the Saints. Canal Street chronicles be up on the
site probably tomorrow, which is a Friday or Saturday, just.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Depending on what when they want to post things. I'm
always nice like that, you know me.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
And.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I've never I mean, we've experienced it as Cardinals fans,
but I've never seen it through the opponent lens like this,
just where they're kind of reserved to be bad this year.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, they I mean Spencer Rattler, who won the starting job,
is largely considered, probably universally, is the worst starting quarterback
in the NFL. Currently. There's not a lot of hope
for them in terms of what they're gonna do. They've
got a first time head coach, but after talking to
John Siegler that there is a little bit of of

(02:33):
optimism offensively, especially with the with the health of Chris
Olave kind of the the offensive scheme, Alvin Kamara and
Kendre Miller then then allowing Chris a Lava to play
more in the slot with Rashid's Shaheed outside and and
they're really excited about Devon Veale, who they just acquired

(02:56):
from the from the Broncos and so but interestingly enough,
they have confidence in their tackles. You've got Kelvin Banks
on one side and tell you sif a flag on
the other less so with the interior.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, and you know, talking to them, the first thing
I asked was like, how are you guys feeling about
the Kellen Moore era? And they're excited. So that's that's good, right,
Like you want to feel confident about the direction of
your team. And they really said it's really the first
time since the start of the twenty twenty one season
before Jamis towards his acl that the fans feel like

(03:39):
they're on the right track. And so you know that
that's a huge thing, but it is it also comes
with ups and downs, right, I mean you've, like you said,
a first first time head coach, extremely extremely young. I
mean that's putting it very mildly. Brandis Day's shown to

(04:04):
be a good defensive coordinator, but he also had you know,
one of the better defenses in the league his one
year as a defense coordinator. I know he was kind
of technically the Chargers defense coordinator, but we always like
to put asterisk next to that because when you're the
head coach and the play caller, it's tough, right, So

(04:24):
you know, you look at you look at their coaching staff.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's just.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
It's it's question marks on top of the question marks
we already have about this this team and what they're
gonna do.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, and they have. They have a well established past
rushing veteran and Cameron Jordan on one edge and then
Chase Young Carl Granderson on the other. Chase Young, who
finally made it through a seventeen game season last year,
only now this week a CAF injury. We'll see if

(04:58):
he gets to play, although he did say that hell yeah,
he's not going to miss or is he going to
miss this way Hell no, Well we'll wait and see.
That's the thing. That's one of the things I asked,
is like, guess, schematically, Brandon Staley's defenses can do well,
and I think Kyler Murray. It's the one thing he
told me. I don't think Kyler Murray has beaten a

(05:19):
Brandon Stealely defense in his career yet. But the question
is do they have the personnel to do what they
want to do or is it going to be a
situation we're at best. They are like the Cardinals defense
a year ago, which was disciplined, scrappy, but ultimately they

(05:42):
weren't that good. And so the Cardinals were what kind
of middle of the pack in yards, but they were
terrible and third down they were tilbert and generating pressure.
They didn't take the ball away, and they allowed the
most they were death. They were last and second to
last in plays allowed per drive and time allowed per drive.

(06:04):
And the only the same incrace that the Cardinals had
is that they were good on fourth down when teams
would go against them. But and so my my question is, well,
you know, they got talent on offense. How much is
the quarterback going to hold them back? They have a
good scheme defensively, but how much is the talent going

(06:26):
to hold them back?

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well, and you know, it comes down to these things,
and this is what we always talk about, right when
you have young players and things of that nature, you're
always looking at what's you know, what's next? Or is
there somebody better, and and that's where the Saints are
right now. Right They drafted Spencer Rattler last year in

(06:50):
the fifth round. They drafted Tyler Shuck, you know, another
local Arizona High school product, in the second round this year,
and and Rattler's ow and six as a starter and
the pros he's got five touchdowns of four interceptions. I mean,
this is a situation that you look at and it's
just not very tenable. And then on top of that,

(07:11):
you have the situation of like you have a rookie
behind him that everybody wants to see. But at the
same time, he's admittedly, even by his agent, not even
close to ready.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
So it's just.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Like, like you said, like, how much can they accomplish
this year with what they have?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, Rattler was more consistent. That doesn't mean he was good.
And while he does have some talent, he does he's
got some mobility. It's gonna be interesting to see how
how that because I mean, we've seen bad quarterback play here.
It was just a couple of years ago that we

(08:00):
watched Josh Dobbs for eight games, nine games, and so
it's and we watched Clayton toone start a quarterback, and
it's gonna be interesting to see because they do like
Alvin Kamara is a very good running back in terms
of offensive production. Chris o'lave, who will be used more
in the slot this year, something he hasn't done since

(08:23):
Ohio State, and that will make him much more dangerous.
You've got the speed of Rashisha Heed and then you
add this, but they also suffer from what the Cardinals
did under Cliff Kingsbury, and that is nobody with any
height at receiver until you know, none of them are
over above six feet tall, I think, and except for

(08:44):
Devon Velle, who they just got who's six foot five.
Now how much we can contribute, they do have a
nice tight end to in Juwan Johnson, so that'll be
interesting to see. But yeah, they've got they've got some
good players. Like if you look at it in the
starting lineup, you can see, Okay, Calvin Banks, Trevor Penny,
who's going to miss this week. Eric McCoy's a solid center,

(09:07):
Caesar Rees has taken a step back. Fuaga promising, You've
got Brandon Cooks, Rashishahid, Chris o'lave, but Brandon Cooks is
more the grizzled veteran than anything else. Alvin Kamara's solid.
You look on the defense, You've got Devon Gotshaw on
the defensive interior, You've got Cameron Jordan outside, you've got
to Marry Davis at that linebacker, a Lante Taylor, Cooley, McKinstry.

(09:32):
And then in their safeties they've got Justin Reed and
Julian Blackman. Tyron Matthew who retired is nolong there, but
the depth is almost non existent. And then you look
at and you know they're going to try and run
the ball, and they're going to try and move I

(09:53):
think it's going to be they're going to try and
get guys receivers on on little slants and hooks and
not so much what the Saints had been doing. You know,
the traces of the of the Sean Payton offense are
finally transitioning over. And you know, one of those things

(10:15):
like how how the Cardinals use Marvin Harrison or used
him last year. You know, the Cardinals probably could use
a little more Kellen Moore in that sense to find
ways to get him the ball. But it's going to
be interesting because I think this there're gonna be a
team that's going to be able to move the ball,
I think, but ultimately Rattler's going to make too many mistakes.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Well, it's just going to be hard to move the
ball when you have a quarterback that limits you on
what you want to do. And like you said, it
wasn't so much that he won the job, it's just
that Tyler Schuck wasn't ready for the job.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
And that's you know what you have to think about that,
Like in any situation like that, you've got a second
round quarterback, you're after the top fifty when you don't
have another quarterback that you really feel good about. If
he'd have shown anything anything, he'd have started. And so
you can spin it to that good good on Spencer Rattler.

(11:19):
But we saw Spencer Rattler right last year and maybe
he's a better this year. But the fact that he
held off Tyler Shuck without being good, that really is
a testament to Helpad that quarterback situation is and and
and I think especially because the Saints don't they start off,
they don't think played the NSC West like three games

(11:41):
in a row to start the year, they're gonna probably
be looking they're probably gonna be looking at like an
zero to four start, which is gonna be really hard
to handle. Let me, let me look at what their
schedule is. Yeah, they Oh, they're probably gonna be oh
and four Cardinals, forty nine Ers, Seahawks, Bills.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yeah. And it makes it tough because you look at
how their their season falls, they're kind of all over
the place. You know, they start with two at home,
but then they end with for the last six games
on the road. It's tough when you don't have just

(12:21):
that answer at quarterback, right, and and so when you
have more questions than answers, this is this is where
you start the season and how people talk about you.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yeah, coming the next time the Rise of Secret podcast.
Mist Our Cardinals talk on the web. Let's move on.
Let's discuss the keys for the Cardinals to win in
the matchups we'll be watching. That's come to mix and
receips you read. We're back on the Rise of Secret
podcastpist Our Cardinals talk on the web talking about the
Saints Cardinals. We want matchup in New Orleans. Uh, what

(12:55):
the Cardinals need to do to win? And what are
the matchups that we're looking at. I you know, isn't
it really as simple for the Cardinals to win is
to not make mistakes themselves? And for this game they
need to not make me they simply don't make mistakes.

(13:17):
They should win this game, right yeah, And you.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Look at it. They've got advantages kind of all over
the place, and that's what the big thing becomes. And
so how do you, you know, how do you get ready
for a game that you're you're, you know, the better
team and are you going to be able to come

(13:40):
out and and really like show that you are superior?
You know, and you look at you look at it.
You know, you talked about the brain AND's daily stat
like that was something that behind or sorry Canal Street
Chronicles Rider brought up to right the three and oh

(14:02):
against Kyler blah blah blah, and I talked about it
a little bit too, and I was like, you know,
what's really interesting is yeah, they're three and o and
and that's something. But uh, you know, the twenty twenty
one or the twenty twenty game, their first game they
put up twenty eight points and then their loss right

(14:26):
to the to the Chargers, and.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
That didn't have so much step that was not really
anything to do with the defense that they played. It
was about the fact that Cardinals couldn't stop their offense.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
So you know, you look at it and how they're
going to work through this and get you know, get
this win when I mean think about this too.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Just some you and I've talked about.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
But they're the biggest road favorite and it's the opening week,
Like that's kind of wild, is it not?

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Oh yeah, even crazier, Like I'm sure in Survivor picks,
the Cardinals are probably the biggest, the most commonly picked
survival pick for this week. I would almost guarantee it.
And if you look at you know, just the confidence
that people have in this game. And we haven't gotten

(15:21):
to the odds and the picks, but I just I
just wrote this, but on bet MGM, eighty nine percent
of the money line bets on the Cardinals to went
out right, And the confidence isn't that much lower in
the spread, Like even with a minus six and a
half nearly a touchdown, seventy three percent are coming on

(15:41):
the on the on the Cardinals. So they are in
a unique situation when they're on the road and heavily favored,
and it just fits they don't need to go out
and score forty points, and I don't think that's going
to be I think the interesting made a thoughtic. They

(16:01):
can do their thing. They need to run the ball,
they need to What I really want to see is
to see them dominate the line of scrimmage defensively, to
show that the investments are paying off. Right, you get
Josh Sweat. You know, basically they have a trio of

(16:22):
edge guys that they feel really good about in Josh Sweat,
as Avon Collins and Baron Browning, and then the defensive
interior and they have and while the Saints tackles are solid,
they have less confidence in the interior. So Darius Robinson,
Dalvin Tomlinson, Kaleis Campbell, we should see some production there.

(16:43):
And so you know, just do that create make meek
Spencer Rattler make plays because we know if he has
to make plays, he'll make a mistake or two and
the difference in the game and it's a bad thing.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
The other thing that I talked about today about a
little bit, and again owns six. It's tough to be like, oh,
this is the key to stopping Spencer Rautler, right, but
one of the things they have to be careful about,
and we'll talk about it in the odds, but they
have to be able to stop Spencer Rautler running football, right,
you know, And and that's something again we'll talk about
in the odds, but he's gone for like twenty five

(17:20):
plus yards in four of his six starts, and so
that's one of the things that you look at and
you go, okay, you know, people might say, oh, twenty
five that's not very many, no, but like for a quarterback,
that is that's keeping plays alive, that's extending drive. So
bottling him up and not allowing him to beat you
with his legs, forcing him to really you know, sit back,

(17:44):
make decisions with his arm.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
And do that.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
That's what the key to this game is because you're
talking about a guy and again he was a rookie
last year. You kind of nailed all that down, right
and I was backwards sorry it was four touchdowns to
five interceptions. But you're talking about a guy with you know,
fifty seven percent completion percentage thirteen hundred yards, a one
point eight percent touchdown percentage, a two point two percent

(18:09):
interception percentage. Like this is a dude who's going to
make mistakes, but you have to allow him to and
put him in a.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Position to Yeah, matchups then, so let's talk about the matchups,
and I think I think for me, the most intriguing one.
There's a couple of them I'm looking at, but I
think the most exciting one to watch will be Chris
o'lavey against Garrett Williams, if in fact that o' lobby

(18:44):
is going to be playing more in the slot, seeing
how because he is very much one of those very
good Ohio State receivers and the Ken Williams, can he
replicate what he did last year and even build up
on that. He's he's there, He's their alpha now in
the in the in the cornerback room. So that that's

(19:06):
one of the That's one of the matchups I'm really
interested in watching because if they you know, if they
take Chrysal Lobby out, like you're gonna have to, You're
gonna have to You're gonna have to account for Avin Kamara.
But the what we know about how the Cardinals play
defense is that especially with the pass catching, the way

(19:27):
they play defense, it's gonna be a number of players
who will be assigned to to Kamara and the to account.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
For him in the passing game, right, And that's gonna
be interesting too because you know, is it a King
Davis gaither is it? You know, do they use some
mac Wilson? Like how do they go about it? Because
that's something that we've talked about. You know that they
need to step up this year and continue to improve
on and you look last year, I mean again, not

(19:55):
a great season for the Saints. Uh A Lave was
quite injured. She Shaheed only played in six games, so
like they didn't have a bunch of their dudes. But
Juwan Johnson led everything with with five hundred and forty
eight yards and then Al Kamara was second receiving yards
with five hundred and forty three. So it's not just

(20:17):
like slowing down Crystal Lava who's dealt with concussions and
things of that nature. But it's also like, do they
have the guys now, whether it's the linebackers or the
safeties to cover weapons like Johnson and Kamara who are
legitimate like high level pro you know, running backs and

(20:39):
tight ends. This isn't like a bad running back or
a bad like these are guys that have I mean,
Kamara has been an all pro right like Kamara has
been one of the best in the league at his position.
Juwan Johnson has continued, you know, continued to grow and

(20:59):
become a very very viable threat and you know developed
over the last five years in his career. And so
those things the way the way that they handle that,
I think you're exactly right. Like, you know, obviously, stopping
o lave Is is maybe key one, but having these

(21:23):
guys and being able to contend with them is it.
It's just a it's hard to decide, right, Like, how
do you stop guys that aren't lining up in traditional
positions and doing what they're traditionally supposed to do. And

(21:43):
I think that's going to be the creativity of Nick
Raleis's defense against Kellen Moore's offense this week.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Yeah, I also am very interested to see how the
entire defensive front, but especially because of what we paid
Josh Sweat we the Cardinals, how did Josh Sweat and
john the combination of Sweat, Browning and Collins against those

(22:11):
two tackles uh Fuaga and Kelvin and Kelvin Banks in
addition to the defensive terrier into against the against the
interior offensive line for the Saints, whereas where they head
control like basically the line of scrimmage, the line of
scrimmage defensively for the Cardinals. I want that. That's I'm

(22:34):
watching that because I want them to dominate. That dominate.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
And you want to come out and you want to
set a tone for the season, right like you you know,
you look at what on paper looks like a bad
Saints team and and you're kind of hitting it on
the head. You want to come out and show like, hey,
this is not the Arizona Cardinals last year. Instead, this

(23:04):
is the Arizona Cardinals that you know, we are going
to take care of business against non playoff teams and
against game one. So maybe the Saints surprise everybody and
they're in the playoffs, right, but we we take care
of business against non playoff teams, Like this is a
business trip. We're gonna go early, you know, am kickoff

(23:26):
Arizona time. We're gonna go kick your ass and then
get on the plane.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
And go home and be home for dinner.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
And that's and that's something we've never really seen since
the Bruce Arians days. And you know, I thought it
was interesting that they decided to only travel for one day, right, Like,
you know, New Orleans is a fun ass city, right,
so let's just be there one night. So these guys

(23:54):
don't have any reason to be distracted to, don't have
any like all of that stuff is so different than
what we've seen previously from Jonathan Gannon and company. And
so I just feel like this has all been ramping up,
and now you know, you peter out and you lay
an egg in game one. Yeah, you still have sixteen
other opportunities to tell your story this year. But man,

(24:18):
you're gonna lose a lot of good will, right, Oh
my heavens like it will if they lose to the Saints.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
It will be hard to feel positive about this that.
Like the vibes, there will be no vibes. There will
be no vibes if they lose this game. It was
the cupcake. Yes, it's on the road, but they were
served up such an easy schedule to start the year,
so they've got to take advantage of it. Are there

(24:44):
any other particular matchups that you have your eyes on
in this game now?

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Because the hard part isn't And you've done a great
job of kind of going over everything, right, But the
hard part is is you're looking at matchups, but you're
really looking at the Cardinals right like you're going, you're going, okay,
did they spend the money on the right guy? Right like, okay,
did you know? Like That's that's kind of where we're

(25:13):
at right now. And and and it's not that we
don't want to see how they fare against the Saints,
it's just we more want to just see how they
look and if they're you know, going to be worth
the assault or the or the money, you know, especially
you talked about the defensive line right like that backfired

(25:34):
so so badly last year, and now it's like you
just look at it and and you go, oh man,
this is the right this is the right group, right like,
So it just makes it tough because going in, there's
not matchups you want to see so much as much

(25:55):
as you just want to see the Cardinals players and
be like, okay, did you a good job? They did
a good job, right.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Exactly, you're like, please just not be bad. Please not
get hurt, Please not get hurt. Like like Kalais needs
to stay hampful healthy, Sweat needs to stay healthy, tal
Tomlinson needs to stay healthy. The big ticket guys that
they added need to be healthy for that to go through.
So with that coming to next time the Razos Hered

(26:24):
Podcast the Best Ore Cardinals Talk of the Web. Let's
move on to the predictions, picks and the prop bets
that we're looking at that's coming to next on and
Rise Ups. She read, We're back on the rise of
Hered podcast, Best Our Cardinals Talk on the Web. As
we reached the final part of our show, the part
that I'm sure you guys all love is when we
make our predictions and we talk about how you can
make a little money on the game listening to the

(26:44):
degenerates that we are. First of all, you know, six
and a half. I think the Cardinals clear that, but
I don't think it's going to be a blowout because
I think my way of thinking is this is going
to be a boring ten point win kind of where
they take control early and they kind of boring their way.
So it'll be, you know, it'll look they will look

(27:08):
the way they need to look, but they won't have
done anything special. I've got the Cardinals winning this game
twenty seven seventeen, so they will they will just clear
the the over, they'll just hit just hit the over,
but I don't think and I think that the probably

(27:29):
the last points that the Saints will come will come
in in garbage time, but that the Cardinals will It'll
just be a boring ten point win. They'll run the
ball a lot, and the pace will go slow in
the second half because the Cardinals have control of the game.
The Saints will probably have a bunch of three and
outs and the Cardinals will just run the ball with

(27:49):
James Connor and Trey Benson for much of the game.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah, And it's interesting because I don't know if they
cover and not, because I think that I think it's
going to be one those games where they're up, like,
you know, twenty four to ten and you know, they
give up, or twenty four to twelve and they give
up a touchdown late, you know, and that's one of

(28:15):
the things that you know comes back and then people
are like, oh, they didn't cover, and you're like, well,
they won handily. It just looked better on the scoreboard late, right, Like.
So it's interesting because Canal Street Chronicles guy goes, oh,
I think the Cardinals went twenty four to fourteen, and
I was like, that's kind of what I think too,

(28:36):
And I hate that, Like I hate And that's just
the cynicalness of you and I being a Cardinals fan
for so long, right, Like it feels weird that everybody's
kind of on the same page.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Right, So.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
I don't know, I'm trying not to hedge my bet,
so I'll just say the Cardinals win. I I guess
I'll say they'll cover. Like have you seen the line movement?
It's crazy to think that they open as two and
a half point favorites another six and a half point favorites. Like,
and I know opened is a strong term we're talking
about may right.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
But like yeah, yeah, but like I wouldn't be surprised.
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it by Sunday
at seven and a half, right, And so.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Uh you know that'll I'll say they cover, But like
I would not be shocked if there was a back
door cover and it was like twenty four or seventh,
you know, twenty four, eighteen, twenty four, nineteen somewhere some
way like that. So I yeah, like I said, I
don't like this game, man, Like I'm not concerned about
the wins or the losses so much. I'm just more

(29:44):
concerned like, I just don't like first off game one.
Those are terrible, right.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
But because we just don't know anything right exactly, so
we've got both of us pick them win. You were
talking about the the rushing totals for the quarterbacks, and
I think I think the Spencer Rattler bet is is
a guaranteed win and you can get you can get

(30:13):
at twenty and a half over twenty and a half
on BETMGM for minus one fifteen. But if you want
to do the alternate rushing yards, just twenty five plus
is plus one ten ons for Ratler. I think that's
a lot, especially and especially because he's a mobile quarterback
who's young. What's he going to what is what is

(30:34):
his default going to be?

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Right?

Speaker 1 (30:36):
He's going to take off? And so like if you
want to even get cute, just get cute, you can
ladder the over twenty and a half. You can then
put the twenty five plus and just want to get cute.
Fifty plus is plus six fifty that that might be
enough of a payout to just cut a little bit

(30:58):
on that. Like I think for sure the the over
twenty and a half and the twenty five plus or locks,
but just just put a little bit on fifty plus
because he might be running for his life and he
will take off, like it'll be one of those cases
where one read, two read gone and he starts running.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Well, and you look at it on fandel you know,
he's twenty one and a half. So that's you know,
so again, go go with MGM for bet, MGM for
the twenty and a half. But you can get him
in the increments of five. And I would I've said
the same thing, like, ammer that twenty five plus, himmer
that thirty plus plus one eighteen plus one seventy eight. Like, again,

(31:43):
there's no such thing as free money and gambling, but
that feels like a relatively safe bet. They they cap
it at thirty plus, so like that tells me that
they're all also nervous about that, Like the books are right,
Like the only thing I said that could happen, and
obviously injuries, we don't ever predict those for gambling purposes,

(32:04):
like you just you just understand that you eat it
if that happens. But like I was thinking about this,
like what happens theoretically if they get down a bunch
and he's like, you know, at seventeen or worse for

(32:26):
you twenty right, like twenty would be oh but at
twenty and then they're like, all right, it's you know,
thirty five to six. Let's get Tyler in there and
see what he's got. Like like, that's the only thing
in my head that would keep it. It's like the
middle of the third quarter and the Cardinals are just
rolling and you're like and they're just like, hey, but

(32:46):
I truly think and I honestly like Murray's twenty five
and a half because you saw and I know that
the Chiefs defense is slightly better and I'm joking it's
much better, but you know, slightly better than the Saints.
But like you saw that he was a little more

(33:07):
aggressive with his running even in the preseason. So that's like, oh, okay,
this is this is going to be a thing this year.
So like I like that idea of twenty five and
a half. I wouldn't ladder that one because again, same
type of thing I look at. There's two things. Twenty

(33:27):
five and a half gets you minus one fourteen on
Vanduel thirty. I know people are thirty. Okay, that's only
five more yards technically four and a half more yards,
but kneel downs, like what happens if they're only up
six or seven points at that hole.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Although they might might they put Jacoby in at the end.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Right those right, but that's why I was like, you know,
they're up you know seven with two minutes ago, and
so they're gonna keep Kyler and make sure they get
the first downs. And then right like that was again
those are my like only reasons that they might not hit,
but I like both of them. So twenty five and
a half for Kyler, go to bed MGM, get the

(34:13):
twenty and a half ladder on fandle at twenty five
and thirty for Spencer Rattler, and then take that take
that little little lottery ticket for Rattler fifty plus, you know,
and again just real quick, like you go back last year.
Those are numbers that aren't wild. Like that's the thing

(34:33):
people have to remembers, is you're basing this off of
what happened last year. And Rattler, like you said, and
maybe maybe he has improved a bunch and so it's
not gonna be his you know, first inclination just to
take off. But last year, you know he had games
where he had you know, twenty seven, twenty eight, thirty four,

(34:55):
and forty six. And by the way, not a single
one of those games were close. Not one like lost
lost of the Raider last year's Raiders by fifteen, lost
of the Broncos by twenty three, lost of the Green
Bay Packers by thirty four, lost to the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers by twenty four. So like, none of those games

(35:17):
were close. So yeah, him trying to keep the Saints
in the game, Like I could see that. I like that.
Like I said often at thirty plus, I think I
don't think you know, a small lottery ticket to start
the season is ever a bad idea.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Here's one, and this is just because I think they'll
want to get the they't want to get the monkey
off of his back early. You get any time touchdown
score for Trey McBride at plus one point eighty last year,
which was comically comically bad for getting him targets in

(36:02):
the end zone or just connecting with him. He had
the two touchdown catches late last year. He hadn't one
that he should have caught. But you know, let's get
this out of the way. He scores at any time
touchdown you get plus one eighty just to knock that
out of the way and then you don't have to
worry about Oh no, but he's not scoring touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Yeah, I'm interested to see because I don't see them
right now, but I'm interested to see what the first
touchdown scorer props are for this game.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
I've got some MGB. Yeah, they've got Connor plus four hundred,
Harrison plus six, fifty, Kamara plus six fifty, McBride plus
seven to fifty, Kyler plus eight hundred, a Lobby plus twelve,
Michael Wilson plus fifteen Shaheed plus sixteen, Benson plus eighteen,
and then Arizona Special Teams defense at plus Well, then

(36:59):
it's the Cardinals defense or special team Spencer Rattler, Jawan
Johnson all at plus two thousand.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
So there's they're doing, and I don't know if they're
replacing it. I genuinely haven't been paying attention that much,
but they do have this year either first. So it's
either player first touchdown scores or you get to pick
two players. Obviously it lessens the odds blah blah blah,
but some interesting ones. Connor or McBride's plus two thirty

(37:31):
and then Kamara or McBride's plus three twenty. But the
one I really like McBride or Harrison Junior plus three seventy.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
So you know, like you said, I'm interested in that overall.
The other one that kind of like you in the
same vein get the monkey off the back of early
kind of you know, it's been a cloud has been
talked about Marvin Harrison Junior over fifty eight and a half.
You know, maybe it's not a priority. Maybe I'm being

(38:02):
naive and I'm you know, buying in too much, but
I think they're going to come out and kind of
establish him as like, hey, look how good he looks.
So yes, so over fifty eight and a half, get
it while it's hot before the line news up, because
I could see it, get in the sixty by game time.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, fifty and a half. You've got McBride
for sixty one and a half. Oh that's insane.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
So that's the thing. And these are already moving because
McBride's sixty three and a half on fanduels. So these
things are these things are pretty fluid, especially when you're
talking about kind of these less important and I know

(38:48):
that's not the word, but I'm trying to, like, you know, prioritize.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
I don't know what the word I'm.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Looking for is a game in general? This game in
general is probably one of the yeah small or yeah
less right, let's cared about. So what happens is the
sharps get on things right. So like, yeah, Trey McBride
over sixty one and a half at bet MGM. It
might have started at sixty sixty one and a half

(39:14):
on FanDuel and the sharps were like, no, we're taking that,
like he's going to hit that in the first half
type thing, because like my buddies tonight, my buddies all
cashed in on the first half over in the in
the Eagles Cowboys game, and my my one good friend
Justin who everybody knows on the show, Justin Higgen literally
texting goes, oh, this was like there was no weather.

(39:36):
This was definitely called in by the league because they're
like they they were trying to make sure that that
over over didn't hit in game one and they didn't
lose a bunch of money, because man, isn't it amazing
what happens when you have an hour plus weather delay.
Oh my gosh, yes at twenty four to twenty and

(39:58):
then nobody else scores the rest game. Come on, man,
So so you know that's the thing is these sharps
get on these games and they change lines quickly.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
I think just a small one and James Connor over
fifteen and a half receiving yards.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, that's a good one. The Kamara is over I
like to because you kind of talked about it right
like they're gonna have to be quick with the ball.
They're gonna have to. Yes, so over twenty eight and
a half. Jawan Johnson over twenty five and a half.
Those are two that I really like. But the one
that I kind of zeroed in on, and I don't

(40:40):
know if you have it on bet mgam yet, but
FanDuel has Josh Wett plus one oh six to record
a sack.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
There's no sacks on the defensive props over here, just
tackles and cysts and tackles. And then, honestly, I don't
like any of them.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
So sweat being plus money game one. I like that number.
That's something I would I would grab right now.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Now.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
I'm gonna be completely honest with you.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
I don't know what the rules are.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
So I'm assuming it has to be a full sack
to win. There's no explanation on the page, so you know,
if if you're not confident in it. But I think
he gets one plus sacks in the game. Not even
worried about it, but that that's what I do like.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
All right. So I so if you parlay and anytime
touchdown from Connor and over fifteen and a half receiving yards,
that's plus one sixty. Well, again, that's not a crazy
like I'm not. I'm very conservative on the parlays and
I'm not like my son. But if you think you

(41:56):
can get a couple of layups, you know Connor, do
you feel Connor's probably gonna score? This is a game
where I think you're gonna get a Connor score, a
Marv score, and a McBride score. Right this game to
over fifteen and a half receiving yards. Partly that within
anytime touchdown for Connor and you get to get a nice,

(42:18):
nice easy plus one sixty.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
Yeah, I don't mind that at all. There's a couple
other ones that are interesting. I mean, you can you
can take uh, you can take some rushing combinations. There's
some you know, good ones in here where did I
just lose it to?

Speaker 1 (42:42):
You can do?

Speaker 3 (42:48):
You can get uh James Connor to record five plus
rushing yards in each quarter. That's minus one oh five,
you know, so that's about even money. That's not too bad.
The other one that was interesting is his ten plus
rushing yards in each quarter. Here's my thing again, I

(43:10):
like that one. That's only you know, we're only talking.
You know, let's call it sixty yards in the game, right,
because fifteen a quarter. But the problem becomes if they're
up by too much, right like.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
The fourth quarter, and then you get you get a
healthy dose of Benson and de Mercado.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
But I do like the Bama right maybe they try
to save people. I do like the James Connor to record.
That's the one I was looking for. The other one
twenty five plus rushing yards in each half, so you know,
you get him going in the first half and then
early in the third quarter and then get him out

(43:52):
of the game, right, you get those yards. So that's
another interesting one. But yeah, I mean this is a
tough one, man, because again, obviously first game of the season,
that's always tough.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
They you don't have any trends to go by, and
especially especially because the Saints you don't have. It's a
new defense, anemy offense with a new quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Right, and you you just don't know anything about the
Saints to like feel comfortable betting one way or the other. Like,
and game ones are weird. I mean, we saw it
tonight twenty four to twenty Eagles beat the Cowboys. Who
would have thought that the Eagles defense to start the
season would look you know, porous at times, right, And
so those are all and then everybody expected that the

(44:37):
Cowboys defense to be terrible, So like those are all
things that come into play and make make game ones
are difficult. So you know, it's a long season. Be
smart with your with your budget. That's always just a
nice you know, spiel about that stuff.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
But meet conservative in week one because yeah, things all
money left over for the weeks to come.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
Right and things open up later. So yeah, like and
I do know that Like FanDuel's doing a no sweat
for every game, so basically, like you only get to
pick one game. You don't get every you don't get
to no sweat every game. But like, uh, if you

(45:21):
like something in the Cardinals game and you want to
bet twenty five bucks on it, and you lose, you
get your twenty five dollars back in free play, and
so then it's like, oh, okay, so it's not terrible.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
So U.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
That's how I would That's how I would go about
it in week one, especially with kind of the stuff
that Jess and I have said, if you do you know,
like I said, and I don't know what everybody's no
sweat return would be, but if you get a ten
dollars or twenty dollars, you know, throw it on something

(45:56):
that's got a little bit longer of odds, right, Like,
that's always the the way to go with those, because
if you hit it, you get a lot of money
or a decent chunk of money. If you don't, you
just get your money back.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Yes, and and by the way, FanDuel at MGM, if
