Speaker 1 (00:02):
So I am on my laptop because my computer over
here is acting up. I'm trying to fix it. When
I want to record this episode, I'm trying to by
trust the old laptop. So this is the s RS
show for my god, I got a big look around
here for Monday, April seventh, twenty twenty five. I'm James

(00:24):
A Chene super organizer. Am I thanks and graduate going
to this. I is MacBook Pro. I've had it since
twenty seventeen, I think, and it's still doing great work
for me. I think I didn't use it as much
during the pandemic because I was home all the time
using this MacBook Pro. And this, I mean it's iMac

(00:46):
and it iMac is fonging apartner I got in twenty nineteen.
So I don't know what's going on, but look like
I got stuff. I'm like, we're not going to stop
the show. The show must go on. So I don't
have my background. You're seeing me this by wearing my shirts.
It's an organizer. You can get them at a the
red list of jails remedia dot com. Okay, so we're

(01:06):
gonna talk about that. Also, my screen right here, my
screen is working. Oh now I must. Oh, now, I'm
now this wants to work. Off of a sudden. Oh
that's hilarious. I have to get this really quick this
hold on, hold on, hold on, no go anywhere. Let's
kinna get rid of this thing. But yeah, now I must.
Now it wants to work. I didn't want to work

(01:28):
a second ago. Technology is not our friends. It isn't.
It really isn't. They try to say they're our friends,
but they're not our friends at all. It's almost it
might feel like a live show kind of for you.
So I doing it live but not really live, and
it's doing it. I can't get rid of it. Let's see,

(01:49):
I can't. It's just gonna it's it's gonna be in
the way. Oh my goodness, I can't leave alone. Okay,
we just over here. I want to read thing AI
AI AI chat GPT, so it's time to have that talk.

(02:09):
I don't have to have to talk that fast that soon.
But literally, this AI stuff started rolling out kind of
last year, late last year, and now all of a sudden,
it is everywhere. And I had a conversation with a
friend of mine which brought up this topic. I'm bringing
to you and this is for especially from my colleagues,

(02:32):
and I'm curious what you are thinking or whatever. So
this industry seemed full proof. They're messy people, they're disorganized people.
There are people of all kinds of exercizes that need help,
whether it's at the home, at the office, garages, storage units, wherever.
Americans have a lot of stuff. There are different systems

(02:55):
they need organizing, whether it's on a computer, photo organizing,
paper organizing, you know, home organization, all that kind of stuff.
Weal my friends. I'll tell my friend's story. She says
that she moved to a new place and she needed

(03:16):
some advice. She couldn't reach me. Actually did call me,
I couldn't reach reach me. So she was looking up
how to fit stuff in her her new closet. So
she's like, why have chatchy GPT over for something else
she was working on, And she was like, you they
call it prompts. You prompted if you think the clearer

(03:36):
you prompt something, the better the answer or whatever it
has in its system, whether it's chat, GBT or other
systems that do AI stuff. And it's still in the
AI stuff, it's still growing. It's like it's not perfect.
Always be careful and don't trust anything it says. And
it's not personal yet. It's very much like just you
still need people to help you personalize stuff. But anyway,

(03:58):
she went to chat GBT and said, my closet space
is this foot by this foot. I have one hundred shoes.
What is the best way to organize them and store
them in this closet? And she got it because she
got advice from what how to do it, what to do,

(04:20):
what to actually buy the specific They're like, try these
instead of that, use this kind. I don't give me
more max are they ask her like are they heels?
She was like, what do I do with my heels
versus my boots? And gave her suggestions on what boots
racks to get. I mean like it was in the
old days you were just asking an organizer. Not today

(04:48):
you're not. That's not that's not happening here. It is
has I had to do this thing over here? Is
kind of funny? Nope, not at all. So it is
very much maybe go wow. And I looked up online
myself and I was like, I'm looking over here. Seven
proven chat GTP prompts for home organization Affordable AI for

(05:12):
your smart home, an ultimate guide with practical examples like
it is. I mean, you know it is take you
know many of us have ebooks, have regular books out
and all kind of stuff. Now it's coming in and
going because you because we can, because in other industries
we've already were already dealing with AI. You know, you

(05:33):
get a virtual assistant, but no, you can get an
AI assistant now, AI arts, AI photos, using AI to
for presentations for a blog posts. I totally get it
because some of that stuff, it really does work. And
for some people it's like, you know, you can get
a general idea and they get just personalize it yourself.
For me, I've used it for names of TV shows

(05:56):
that I create, all these these shows, names of songs
they like, names of groups like you. Sometimes it comes
here for like thinking, naming us naming a like the
naming of a show. It kind of just say, gives
you ten you tell her what the show's about. It
gives you ten things like okay, that's good. I don't
I like thinking stuff myself. I liked I'm old school,

(06:16):
i am generation, I'm I am fighting AIS, which I can't.
I know it's a losing battle, but I thought it
in terms of I thought organizing was safe with this here.
I was thinking about the virtual organizers and think about
the people who do photo organized stuff, and so I
was thinking, I'm not I'm not I'm not an alarmist.
I'm not even panicking, but I'm just keeping of notes,

(06:39):
giving of notice what's going on. We can't we can't
play that off there is. It's funny because I feel
because I see her doing that. I was just from
a client last week who was like, thank you, I
need you here. She needed physical help. So it's always

(07:01):
folks who physically can't do it. But I'll get to
that in a second, but she also mentally needed me
there as her cheerleader, going okay, there was overwhelming where
do we start? Like, she still needed the physical human side.
So everybody's different. There's some folks who are go getters
and who are self starters and just like I want

(07:22):
to myself, I just know how to do it. They
go online, chat ept and they just do it. That's
my friend. She's like very much. She wouldn't used me
if she could have, I guessed, but she's just like
I needed this right now. I was in the mood
it gave me my answers, so that makes me a
little bit. It is a little nervous, like, okay, not
for me, but for all of us. It's kind of going. Okay.

(07:42):
So I know there's chat EPT and AI certifications happening
for other industries because they still needs it, still needs
a human touch on some level. It's I guess as
an organizer, what does that look like? I have no idea,
what does that mean? I just know here in America
we always see people who can't physically do it. But

(08:04):
here's the thing. What if somebody goes I chat you,
we teat it, print out what it says to do.
I hire some guys down the street to do it,
and it's cheaper than an organizer or me and my cousins.
We just get together and we do it. I pay
with pizza. I always say it's you should always have
an organizer because we know exactly what to do it.

(08:25):
It's the best. We're the best of the best profession.
But I wonder if that is people are doing that now?
Am I me talking about it? Am I now promoting
the idea people who never thought out for giving them
an idea? Like, oh, I'm interested? Else? I just I
don't know. I just I feel like we survived a
pandemic because remember, for most of those organizers, we went

(08:48):
to people's homes and businesses, businesses shut down people or
to stay home. There was COVID concerns. We survived all that.
We're still attached and someone start attached to we, let's
say companies moving, companies like that stuff you have to
in person, you can't and it's just not anyway. Stores

(09:11):
units you still need those. So I just, I just
I'm wondering. Just, I just this is just beginning conversation folks,
and people want to industry. Anybody, everybody can answer. Just
kind of curious what you think about this? Are you nervous?
Is it going to take away some of your services?
Are you trying to find a way to get in
there like I was? In this one question that can't
chat The main question. Can chat GPT help organize your home?

(09:33):
It says, and I quote chat GPT is one of
the tools that you can use to organize your home
by creating a personalized plan to keep it tidy and
increase your productivity in your home environment. Chat GPT can
help you develop a to do list, suggest remind us
for cleaning task and allow you to stay on track,
prevent clutter from accumulating. Like what the f right they're

(10:00):
saying that. Now there's some chat GBT models AI models
you can enable intelligent automations, natural language commands, context and
weird guifications, all while keeping costs rugby low integrating chat
GBT into your home assistance. And it was intelligent automations.
And I mean, like we already have smart TV, smart
we have smart refrigerators. I don't have one. Refriger is dumb? No,

(10:26):
I was there smart refrigerators, smart microwaves. You know. We
go to make these jokes because I do all these
shows and on different platforms, and like they're like James
Wonder you can have a show just on a TV,
I mean the TV. They could be a channel on
the refrigerator. I'd love it. People go to figerate all time,
or a channel on your oven, or a channel on
your microwave. We working places all the time, or in

(10:48):
your shower or in your mirror. Like I'd love to
have a channel on one of those. Were like, okay,
it's me talking to you. We might go marim onnudos
is like all over the country and airports, just a
couple of shows. Like it's just it's a point where
the Jetsons are here, you're here, We're not that far off.
It's just it's just like wow, I just don't even

(11:10):
know what to say. It's just so's it's so crazy.
But we did survi pandemic. When we first we Romnium
was a lockdown. We couldn't. We were sitting here, going
are kicking people's homes. But I think it's also people.
There are always people who need physical help, I think,
And maybe there's a And I'm still searching, and I'll

(11:32):
talk about as long as I have this show, we're
talking about it. I'm actually thinking about trying to integrate
some of this stuff into my organizing practice somehow and
seeing how this actually can work all the time. I'll
share with you guys when I find out a way.
I don't want you. I hate this, but I think
it's you have to kind of you. You can't be,

(11:54):
as they say, a ludite. So you guys get that
reference where you just don't move forward at all. Y'all
move forward at some point, right, I mean I guess
you do, right. I know it's tough folks. It's a
tough oh. I know. And NAPO, especially as a protein

(12:14):
or I just had their big summit. I don't even
know if they talked about this at all on there.
I have no idea. Now. I worry about coaching. I
have a coaching podcast and this month I'm celebrating eleven
years and that's gonna be in I see it some
two weeks. So well, I'll be talking about that over
there too. What that means over there on that show

(12:35):
a lot of help. But I'm just like hmm, I mean,
luckily I diversified. I have this show, so we're talking
to still talking to people. I have some books out.
It may affect some of the books we put out now,
may to affect some of them. But I have meaning
other organizers who are using AI to their advantage for

(12:57):
some things. Because you, especially if we're online, and many
of us want to put out content every day, and
let's unless you just always want to do it, you
can always get to there. And I think of content
every day. So I don't know, doesn't make me happy,
Let's say the least. Like I said, it's beginning conversations
with this. We'll talk more about this as as this

(13:19):
goes along, and if I find any solutions or any interesting,
seriously interesting, I will share it with you guys on here.
Super Organized. The show is on Facebook. It's on X
super Organizers on Facebook and X James. Let you know,
