handed podcast about being left handed.So it's a little bit of both today.

pression organizer. Okay, so we'retalking about left handedness an organization.
And what's really funny for me isthat I know personal fact I'm left handed.
I'm totally left handed, and Iknow the difference of certain things that
are geared towards We live in aright handed work. Everything's geared towards writing

people. So once I told thison my on my left handed show,
I actually have seen a left handedkitchen, and I have I've been working
on making mine a left handed kitchenon some level. So meaning the placement
of the sink counter, sink ratio, my counter is on the left side,
I've count on the right side.Also where a placement of my stove

is. My frigerator opens you knowa certain way, like it's all kinds
of it opens with a left hand. I use my left hand opening refrigerator,
like, there's certain the cabinets.It's a trip. I was in
the left handed kitchen once and itchanged my life. But I went online
to look at some other stuff too. About this left handness an organization,
there's nothing. I mean, youcould be any hand and get organized.

That very clear. I don't evendo with that at all, But it's
kind of Our brain does work alittle differently sometimes, and we're again we're
in the right handed world. Alot of us left handed people. We
look at things different a certain way. How we read, how we read,
how we write, how we seethings. Everything is literally built as

a left to right system. Fromthis to this. When I was a
merchandiser in retails, used to merchandiseand stuff, they have certain rules also,
you know, go for you togo from small to extra large,
light to dark, short to talklike they have certain things? Can they
want your odd and you say,your eye naturally goes this way, And

I was like, well, youknow what's so funny is for someone's left
hand people, our eye goes thisway, we go the opposite. We
look the opposite. So when Igo right, when I go to stores
to this day, like racks thatI go to ross and racks, I
go to the end and go thatway right. A lot of folks are

going to from the left and gofrom small and go large. So if
I see that that the XL,I wear extra large, my say extra
large sign we're here, I'll goall the way around to that side and
hit it from the right. AndI start from the right and I go
backwards, very right, very interesting. Right, I see my counterparts to
the right hand and naturally go theother way or go either way. But
I know, I just I dothat. So if you're handed out there

to see this, just think abouthow you do that. But everything where
we read the books, I mean, I have over a million views on
a video of a left handed notebook, which I had it with you right
now, where it's the opposites,Like right now, everything is like this
normally, and we get our wehave to write, and our hands get

all messy and everything. When it'slike this on the outside, it's it's
like it's when it's all that's numbersthe other way and I can't do it
on here. It's not left hand. I can't do it on here.
It's well, it's it's the otherway. Where it's it's a trip.
It's like it's just it's just ittotally works it it's crazy. But like

I said, door knobs. Whenit comes to cabinets and not draworge it
draws. Do just one thing thecabinets, which side do you put the
thing on the knob? And forme, I like I have the left
side as much easier for me tograb. I naturally go that way.
I can still grab. You canstill I mean, I like this hit
his right hand as dead. Butjust there's some things to just make it

really easier. And I find thatI gravitate to the right side of things
sometimes put stuff down and I gothis way across. I don't know why
I might. I'm organizing refrigerator andstuff do that. A psychology today talks
about that a little bit. AndI wanted to read some of this stuff

spot here. Sorry, folks,it should be more professional, but it's
a short. It should have beenmore professional. Rights they they corner my
own thing about doorknoboge be placed onthe left hande of the doors, dressing

rooms, design stuffs, all closets, everything and that's why left hand people
are more adaptable. They say,I say it all the time, and
the whole thing is, actually youdon't need to have the stuff on that
side. Is just always done thatway. But they say, for us,

I'm looking in here and just saythat we basically this goes back to
we usually do left to right systems. That's basically what I'm saying. And
then they kind of you know,it's it's it's interesting looking at another thing
here too. Okay, God,okay, folks, let's see so our

brains, that's what that's what Also, we a lot of times are using
our right side of our brain becauseour hadnts caused by brain And they say,
specifically in left handerds, the motorcortex on the right side of the
brain, the left side of thebox, it's controlled by the right side

(06:00):
of the brain, and vice versais dominant for motor behavior. That's what
you're saying there, that's why wewere left handed. The main finding in
this study they did a while backwas that there were some differences in three
main brain regions. The main findingwas that the area of the motor core

(06:23):
text and controls the hand is biggeron the left side and right handedness.
Right near knew that there's a lefthanded and that in men only, we
found that there was some stuff onthe cerebellum that determined left handeds or right
handedness. Very interesting that either wetheror that it is not even better or

(06:49):
worse. So that's that's the kindof short today story is left of people
were creative, yes a lot oftimes, but that doesn't mean we can
organize any better either. So Iguess that the short story is you could
be left handed and get organized.There are ways assess systems up that work
for you. As I say again, find an organizer that can work with

you, and you find a lefthanded organizer or an organizer has access to
a left handed person, they mighteven able to help you even offer you
well extra benefits while organizing. It'sall about finding systems that work for you.
That's the whole point. And Ihave some left handed clients and I've
been able to organize even a littlebetter for them in ways that they could

(07:33):
totally follow. That. It's likea little secret language between us but actually
helps to get I'm like, whateverworks to get organized, right, that's
all that matters. Well, itmatters This is coming out on March first,
twenty twenty four, day after LeapDay. It's leapier this year.
