Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Monday, December one, twenty twenty five, one of the
last Mondays of the year. This is the Super Organizer
Show with James Lo Junior, as you call the se
West Show, James Lot Junior. I'm James Lot Junior and
this is an audio only because I really wanted to
say how to do audio listeners for sure, you guys keep.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
The show going.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
I know we've been on a little hiatus for the
last couple of months. I deal with some stuff. It's
it's been usually I come up with holly tips and things,
and I have a blog, a lot of help dot
com go over there my blog. I do a few
tips here there. But I am going to say going
(00:50):
through some stuff personally where my holidays will be looking
a little different this year, and now I just want
to reach out to everybody out there who are also
going through a different kind of holidays this year. It's
not business as usual for me this year, dealing with
a mother whose health is failing and mental state is failing,
(01:15):
dealing with my own health issues that I'm dealing with.
I haven't organized in a while. I did.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
I did a couple of jobs last month. I did.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Oh yeah, I was last month, I did two jobs.
That was a one client I love, and we had
great It was so it felt so good begin on it.
But right now I have what it called runner's knee.
There's a whole phrase what I'm waiting for my insurance
to come through so I can go see orthopedic specialists.
I can't bend down or do certain things, so it's
(01:50):
affecting some of my stuff. But besides that, I have
other clients that i've seen in a while, and I
just been and recently I've had these strengths to you
actually organize my house. As I'm pulling all the Christmas stuff,
I'm actually going through things and throwing stuff out. And
look with the Christmas stuff, giving something to my mom,
(02:11):
putting some outside, putting someone in the house. It's it's great,
but I'm getting rid of a lot of things. Also,
they just don't giving stuff away, so the right stuff out.
It's just it's purge time. And I always say, you
don't have to wait till the first of the year.
You do at the end of the year too. I
always like person at the end of the year is
(02:33):
a great you know what, you know what that is,
it's a great symbolism, isn't it Everyone talks about Now
this is funny about I love doing these shows because
sometimes epiphanies happen as I'm doing these shows or when
I'm with clients. Here's my epiphany for you, guys. Everyone
talks about the beginning of the year, you start being
(02:54):
a year, might start being a fresh start, and I
get that fresh start and all that. Well, at the
end of the year, getting rid of stuff. At the
end of the year, it's sounds like you're you're clearing
a pathway for renewal and rebirth. You're not carrying literally
carrying that baggage into the next year. Think about that,
(03:18):
and you're already probably pulling stuff out for whether you
had your Christmas or Thanksgiving or Halloween stuff at or
New Year's stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Why don't also go through that closet.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
That stuff's in there, or that section in the garage
or that sectional laundry or wherever you have the stuff
stored beause the stuff you can get rid of. And
also I don't use I don't use every single object
for Christmas. Some things break, so you throw it, make
(03:49):
sure you throw so I don't keep me canna gar them,
throw them out and sometimes I'm like, I got excess
of them. I don't need them. I inherit things sometimes
throughout the years, pass it on. I got two trees,
so I'm trying to gret these two trees other stuff.
But I was saying, with other stuff, pass off somebody else.
You might need it, you know, give it away, take
it to thrift stores because they are people looking for
(04:11):
Christmas items and money's tight these days. So finding Christmas
ornaments or decorations at a thrift store someone swapped me
just like that. That's a great idea. It's so weird
because there's no more big lots, no more nine nine
cents stores. Those are gone. We have Dollar Tree, we
(04:32):
have a few dollar generals, no family dollars out here.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Ross Marshall's, TJ Maxwums. They get okatting expensive or are
they pick through? They don't have any but got looked.
Thought you gotta take the time and look at you
may you'll find some stuff you gotta look.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Dig I know right.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Now is the there's a lot of lightning deals going
on in Amazon. I just got a printing for forty bucks.
It was only like eighty. How it works so far
it works. But I got to set up to my
computer as a cheapies. I gotta figure that out. But
it's really but it's really. This is it's a great
time to release stuff. Even even after each holiday. You
(05:20):
may go, you know what, I didn't even use all
these plates. Maybe I can get rid of some.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I know.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
You want to keep a couple of extra if you're
like you, So if you have a four set, a
set of set for four, but you have a couple
of extra, yeah, just in case the plate breaks or whatever.
And especially for me, if anybody out there in the
world can find District twenty three plates that have written
on them what they are, and they'll say like dinner plates,
(05:49):
salad plates, ball, I think they just continue them. I
haven't seen them anywhere I went online. I have not
found the set. I kept looking like eBay once.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
In a while.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I have not found and I still got most of it,
but I lost a few pieces and I love that set.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I want to keep it, so I know.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
But yeah, I just you know, if you might you
might have something someone else may want or need for
their sets. It's Facebook, Marketplace, offer up, eBay, poshmark and
what kind of places Deep Hop and just and just
Craze are still or just just like I said, giving
(06:32):
it a white stuff. But yeah, we're gonna we're gonna
say I'm gonna help everybody. Let's lose them a little
bit because we're gathering a lot of stuff because all
these presents people.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
And that's another thing too.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
If you have something that's in good shape and or
never use and you know somebody could possibly use it,
that's a present.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
And I don't care.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I've already done a show. I've done several shows in
the past about regifting. I don't care about regifting. I
think there's nothing wrong with it. To me, it's moving
stuff along. Is that there's no offense to the person
who gave it to you. And I mean, I might
say gifting, I'm not talking about I give you Grandma's
prayer beads and you just passed around to somebody you know. No,
(07:16):
I'm about that. I'm talking about this like I'm a
George Forman grill. I can't I don't need it. I
never I never cook on it. I love them, we'll
cook it anymore. I'll pass on somebody else who I
know could use it. That's what I mean it's a gift.
We can be gifted. I don't problem with gifting either,
So yes, that's maybe maybe that's want to focus on
the next few weeks of shows. I'll probably do a
(07:39):
video one too about letting go of stuff at the
end of the year and anybody talking about that, hmm,
all right, organizer and the super organizers show on all Well, no,
they're on blue Sky, Facebook and x not not just

want to hire me, and I'm here, and I got
to my thanks and gratitude is I usually do in
the beginning, but I forgot to do at the beginning
as I was talking because I had epiphany. Epiphanies happen.
