our spiritual well being.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
So welcome back to the Sunday Word Fan, and I want.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
To believe that today's work we have a good word
for you. It's coming out of the Book of John,
chapter two and verses one through eleven, and we're going
to try to dive into this. It was one of
(01:52):
the first or the first miracle that Jesus had performed.
And when we're going to attempt to dive into this topic,
here what to do when you run out of wine.
I know that sounds like a strange topic, but when
(02:17):
we get into the scripture reading and getting to the
breakdown this you will understand the significance of it and
what the wine really represents as part of our daily life.
What to do when you run out of wine? John
(02:39):
chapter two, commencing with the first verse, says, and the
third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee,
and the mother of Jesus was there, and both Jesus
was called and his disciples to the marriage. I want
(02:59):
you to know, don't take that part right there, because
the mother of Jesus, she was already there. Jesus, however,
and the disciples were invited. Let me pose this question,
(03:20):
when was the last time you invited Jesus? And when
they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him,
they have no wine. Jesus saith unto her. Don't take
this woman. What have I to do with thee Mine
(03:41):
hour is not yet come? His mother said, unto the servants.
Whatsoever he said, unto you, do it. Don't take that
whatever he says, do it. And there were set there
(04:02):
six water pots of stone after the manner of the
purifying of the Jews, containing two or three perkins apiece.
Jesus set unto them, filled the water pots with water,
and they filled them up to the brim, and he
set into them. Draw out now and bear unto the
(04:25):
governor of the feast, And they buried. When the ruler
of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine,
and knew not whence it was. But the servants which
drew the water new the governor of the feast called
the bridegroom, and set unto him. Every man at the
(04:45):
beginning set for good wine. And when men have well drunk,
then that which is worse. But thou hast kept the
good wine until now this beginning of miracles did Jesus
in Cana of Galilee and manifested for his glory, and
(05:07):
his disciples believed on him. What to do when you
run out of Why today we're focusing on the theme
of what to do when you run out of wine?
(05:29):
We could explore the idea of rent out of resources,
joy or blessings in life, and how Jesus can bring
renewal and abundance. Here are some key points to consider.
One acknowledge the reality of rent out. Acknowledge that it's
(05:54):
common for people to experience times in their lives when
they feel like they have run out of wine, whether
it's joy, hope, resources are blessings. At some point we
run out of these things. Sometimes we feel like all
(06:14):
hope is lost. Sometimes we feel like we have no joy.
Sometimes we wonder where the blessings are really coming from.
We feel like we're doing all that we can do
that is right to do, Yet seems like we can't
see no blessings in sight resources, whether it be of
(06:39):
the material resources, the financial resources. Seems like everything is
just run out. So what should we do when we
run out? Well? Do like Mary did, the mother of Jesus,
(07:00):
turn to Jesus in time of need, just as Mary
turned to Jesus when the host ran out of wine
at the wedding in Canna. I want to encourage you
who are listening, turn to Jesus in time of need.
We need to be reminded that Jesus is able to
(07:22):
provide abundantly beyond what we can imagine. Next, we should
trust Jesus's provision. I'm reminded when it comes to trust.
Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six says it best
like this, and it's a helpless when we run out.
(07:44):
It says in all thy ways, acknowledge him, lean out
that I don't want understand him, and he shall direct
thy path. The emphasis is the faith and trust displayed
by Mary and the servants and the story. I want
to encourage those you are listening that we should trust
(08:07):
Jesus's provision and timing even when they feel like or
even when we feel like we've run out of options.
That's that moment when you just throw your hands up
in there. I don't know what to do, I don't
know when to do, I don't know how to do.
(08:31):
Trust in Jesus. Have faith, and it doesn't take a
whole lot of faith. I remember as a child growing up,
we used to sing a song faith, Faith, Faith, just
a little more faith, and the beauty of that song
(08:51):
was I said, it don't take a whole lot, just
use the little you got. The Bible even declares if
you have faith besides the grain of a mustard seed,
and I have, in my lifetime have finally seen what
a mustard seed look like. It's very small, but the
(09:15):
Bible class if you have faith beside the grain of
a mustard seed, you can say mountain be thou removed,
and that mountain remove. That mountain could be financial despair.
That mountain could be a bad situation on your job.
(09:37):
Whatever your mountain is, exercise that mustard seed faith as
we move on. We want to look at the miracle
of Jesus turning water into wine as a symbol of
(09:59):
God's abundance and generosity. We need to be encouraged to
seek God's abundance in our lives and to trust that
he can bring joy and blessings even in time of scarcity.
(10:22):
We always say he may not come when we want
him to, but He's always on time. Finally, let us
reflect on how Jesus miracle at the wedding and came
(10:43):
to transform the situation and brought joy to the celebration.
We need to be encouraged to invite Jesus into our
lives and situations, trusting in his power to bring transformation
and renewal by everything that we have gone through. In
(11:09):
this teaching insights from the story of John, we can
deliver this powerful and encouraging message on finding renewal and
abundance in Jesus even when it seems like we will
run out of wine in our lives, reminded that we
(11:31):
should just do what He tells us to do. Sometimes
when we do what He tells us to do, others
may not stand it, understand it. Others even may have
questions as to why that would happen. Sometimes doing what
(11:54):
Jesus tells you to do in certain situations can almost
put you you in a situation that seems like this
situation could come to an end. But can I show
you some If doing what Jesus tells you to do
seem like it can get you in trouble, let me
(12:17):
give you the flip side. It can also get you
out of trouble. The central thing I want to believe
of this whole story, it's not so much that they
ran out of wine. It's not so much that Jesus
took and turned water into wine. But you can also
take our dark situations and turn it into light. You
(12:38):
can take that crime we have, turn it upside down
and make it a smile. It's the fact that whatever
we do, be obedient to the will and way of God.
When we are obedient and we trust God and have faith.
(13:07):
Because the Bible loss of the class. Without faith, it's
impossible to please the Lord. When we do those things.
Trust God with our finances. When we do those things
I just make you you can expect to see God
(13:30):
work in our lives. I want to see. Thank you
