Speaker 2 (00:08):
B B and Shit Boy.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Ricky D with another episode that a Thing Can Reflect
podcast show.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
How y'all doing out there?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay, me just chilling, trying to stay out the way,
figure out life.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
As it go. That's all we can do is try
to be better. Right.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I was gonna talk about a few things, but I
kind of wanna get to the point a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
So what i'm'a do is still hold the shelf, y'all. Nah.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
But anyhow, I was gonna talk about my little what
my boy commeil if you remember Chameleonaire. But i'm'a gonna
leave alone. But I all i'm'a say, is the boy
doing good things. I'm'a leave that at that cause I
kind of really just wanna get straight to the point,
which is mindset. That's that's I feel like that's the

(02:39):
only way we could change. I don't know if you
feel the next person feel like that, but that's the
best way to change is to change the mindset. Like
you could change your image, you could change your car,
you can change your house.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
You know, you can do all of that.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
But if you don't change I'm mind said, it's like
a waste of time.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Like I know I ain't in the best.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Of positions, but coming from like looking back on my
life and just knowing like my situations I can put
myself in because we we put ourself in situations, even
at a early age. We put ourselves in situations. But

(03:26):
at the same time, it also involves what you surround
yourself around also like in the end, but in the
end it's up to you. But it's like, okay, well
what what are you choosing to be around?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
It was just one damn where was the how that
post is to come? Man? It was it was nice.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
But while I'm looking for this post, bright this number
dollar one two one six s eight one zero six
six five O.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So when I.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Start streaming live on your cause the stream's gonna be
live through Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, et cetera. So make sure
you write that number down. That's two one six eight

(04:25):
one oh six six five Oh. That's to the Think
and Reflect podcast, So.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
So you can tune to voice your opinion. You know
what I'm saying. We can talk.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
So yeah, before I get back into the mindset, I
wanna talk about some holidays of the day. It's International
Day of Cheer, So today is today, cause you know.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
We we we.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
If you drive y you know, when you get off
that freeway, they ain't even just on the freeway no more.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
They just they out. They just there. So you know,
give 'em a dollar two today. Don't just ride past
'em today, or if you.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Don't wanna do that, I'm just that's just the average joke.
Gonna if you drive, you gonna ride past. But do
something charitable today, Do something nice, you know, for the
cause of open the door for somebody or something. You know.
It's also excuse me, cheese piece of day and who
donld uh some ch uh cheese pizzas. It's a nice

(05:44):
little holiday. And I guess guess what the last one.
I It was a few more, but I just went
with these top three. This was my top three. But
it's be late for something today, man, Ye how.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
They gonna wake up for be lake for something? Man?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
That's wild, right, there be lake for something. But yeah,
that's a holiday for the day. That's a holiday for
the day. But I, oh, yeah, before I get back
into it too, I wanna talk about you know, today

(06:25):
is the first official day that we get to see
regular season NFL football.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Baltimore and KC. That should be a good game.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Ay, And being a Browns fan, I know again black
and yellow.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
You know that res rescue man.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
We we gonna just leave it in there if you know,
you know, I ain't explain it no more. But yeah,
I'm a Browns fan, though I like my Browns. You know,
I'm over here messing with this one over here here. Yeah,
it ain't even talking to me no more. And I
need to be focused right here. But yeah, it's the

(07:06):
first NFL game to night Thursday Night Football official season.
The Browns play Sunday at Folk. They played the the
national game. Tom Brady gonna be the Tom Brady gonna
be the do the added one of the analysts.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
So we about to have that's go Browns.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
It's showtime, showtime, cause Jim Rome shout out Jim Rome.
He said, a few years ago the Browns was gone.
But that's when we had Baker, you know, but we
got we got a pr Head. But you know I
still have a football player. Let's go Watson, loving person.

(07:48):
You know, it's just you know, pr Man, I ain't
say you did nothing, I said, pr Head, but Shannon Sharp,
Shannon Sharp did say, you know, he predicted us to
make it to the championship game, like they saying the
game that's tonight should be the AFC champion.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
But Shannon Sharp saying, nah nah God, nah nah nah.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
We gonna sit over here and see what these clueland
Browns do, specially if we get a healthy Watson for
the whole year, give us, give us fifteen games, and
and let the eight of 'em be going into the
playoffs healthy. You did. But yeah, getting back to the
topic though, man, mindset, like just just thinking back like

(08:39):
I'm I'm up, I'm at y'all can see.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I I'm great faces. I ain't no kid no more.
But yeah, even as the kid, like you.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Go through stages in life, man, where you you start
thinking like.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
What you wanna be, how you gonna live?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
And like like one of my little side gigs, I
be you. I talk to a lot of people in
the process, so I say, you know, people be.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I kind of see.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
That's why I gotta keep my notes, see how it
started my day swell over again. But we on the mindset.
I gotta laugh at myself sometimes. You gotta laugh at
yourself sometimes, man, But yeah, I know we on the mindset, man,
But I be around people man, and we be talking
and you know, even as the kids, you know what

(09:36):
it is that you put yourself in certain situations. You
put yourself in these situations and it's based off of
like who you really hang around, like what you choose
to be, how you choose to be, and you can
kind of get caught up in certain you know, situations

(09:59):
based on choices, you know what I'm saying. So what
I'm what I'm trying to really say is man like
the mindset. Man, It's just it's it is. You gotta
want something like you can't just get up. Some people
just get up and just live man, Like I'd rather
really be trying to make a difference and go through

(10:20):
a struggle then to just live with life.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Like it it it's more to it than that, Like
why not why not try to be like more than
you know what I'm saying, expect it cause sometimes you
let other people help you set your own expectations on yourself.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
You get what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Like just off of like w when at one point
I took this child class and then they was talking
about how like if you constantly s like for example,
if you constantly saying child is bad, they gonna start
believing they bad. So what I'm trying to get that

(11:13):
is if you constantly hearing people giving you they judgment
or opinion of you, which we are allowed to have opinions,
but you start believing it, you know what I'm saying,
that's how that's how Like it's.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
If you hear positive.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Like things about yourself, like you just most m when
you really hear things you it's that that keeps you motivated,
you know what I'm saying. But most importantly, though, when
you got the mindset to want more than just you know,
let me make it through the day type of mindset,
you gonna always.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Like strive anyway, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
And then just to hear the motivation is like it
just really strength of the mand you know what I'm saying.
It's almost like love and affect. And you know what
I'm saying, it's like you just start believing. Like cause
me personally, I came from like some of the choices
I made. Man Like I like I say, I always

(12:20):
tell y'all, I I s I was really like at
first I started off as like a little.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Smart kid, you know, mama's boy. Good grades.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Then you start hanging around, you get you get to exploring,
you know what I'm saying. You meet different people, like
different homes, households.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
They different from yours.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
So you start picking up different things and like then
your interest you start, like while you picking 'em up,
you start putting 'em and making them part of your.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Character. As how I made it that a good word. Character.
But yeah, you you it becomes you. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
But you and y all you are is the mindset,
like how you think. So if you if you went
to this one family house or even your own family
and there was things they did, it's on you like
it it cause everybody ain't you know, you see bad,
you see good. But it be people that come from

(13:23):
good situations that go bad, and then there be people
that come from bad situations that go good. But that's
what I'm trying to That's where I'm at with the
mindset part. Like it's all because of how we start thinking.
You know, That's why I call myself to think and
reflect podcasts. So because man, life is you gotta think. Man,

(13:44):
you gotta think. Like some people be just living, like
literally just living going with you know, you go with
the flow, but your flow gotta have some type of
objective to it, like some type of purpose. You know
what I'm saying, Like what what is it for? Like okay,
it's cool, Like okay, if you got a career. A

(14:05):
career is different from a job. See that's that's a
good mindset to have too, to want a career, not
just a job cause of a job. But that's the
simple and if y'all listening, that's just the simple part
of life to be where you understand that it's things
you have to do to be able to have what
you want. That's the simple part. See the easiest when

(14:27):
you try my past life, I was thinking I was
gonna get things based off of trying to get faster
money or whatever you would call it, you know, and.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
It just don't always. You know, it's karma to it.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's it's easy, gonna come with some type of consequence.
If it's karma, you gonna get it. That's like, So
that's why they have what you call law. You know,
we got natural law, criminal law, such different laws. But
law is just a s assist. But getting back to
the topic, which is mindset based on what you see

(15:06):
in life that's usually or what you really go learn,
Cause at a certain point, you have the ability to
go out and learn and pick up on any type
of skill set, knowledge information cause it's out there, especially
in today's age. It's no excuse for a person to

(15:27):
not know nothing you know, or like not get the information.
It's just that's where mindset play a part too, because
sometimes you might your mindset might allow you to continue
to be in situations that are more harmful than helpful.

(15:50):
You know, but you you trying to be there for
the situation because you trying to be helpful, because you
could go do what you need to do on your own,
you know what I'm saying. Like, but it's like, okay,
i'm' that's just one situation. Then you have a situation
where you know, you you involve yourself in things like

(16:10):
like for real, me, honestly, I don't understand why people
still hang out like in.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Like hood bars.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I'm not to take out the hood bars man, but
y people be all having they y.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
It can happen anywhere.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
But my mindset at this point in life is like,
why would I go sit in at a bar drinking looking? Yeah,
you see people you ain't seen in a while. Be
good to see people. But we got social media. If
if you wanna hook up with a specific person you
you know, you're cool with or whatever, y'all ain't seen

(16:47):
each other in a while, y'all could go find a
nice mellow spot talk shit, watch a game.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
You know, if you single.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
And you you j y'all flirting, You know what I'm saying,
y'all could go to a nice little d restaurant somewhere
in a decent community where it's a the chances of
some drama happening is very slow, Like.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
That's a manset thing.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
But getting back to me, I was in the streets like,
but it took for me to realize, like cause always
like when I used to get in trouble back in
the day, you know, I used to when.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
I'm gone, I come up with another little plan, you know.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
But at the same time I be in that ma,
I be in there learning our things outside of what
I come from.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
So that's why at this point.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Of my life, I might from the average person from
where I come from. I might like, but we all
got our special things, you know what I'm saying. But
when it comes to certain stuff like when it come
to because I studied on it, you know what I'm saying,
Like it's you don't just like I never understood a

(17:58):
person that go sit down and then go learn something new.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
You could go back and do how your.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Master plan but while you there, man, instead of war stories,
cause the war stories would but me going back and forth,
like I that what made me start cause I never
really wanted to be in the street life. It was
something that kind of just happened because of incidents in
my life.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Like if you know, if y'all.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Know, I got jumped real bad the same day I
was named the starting quarter you know, I ain't gonna
throw the start, but just the quarterback for my JV
high school team.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
And and that.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
That was another day I was in the area, you know.
Man said, But like my on my mindset is m
I'm living a new life. So I'm still adjusted to
this life. And then it's like it's a lot of
e extras going on s you know, it's always something something,
it's you know, so my mind said, it is like, hey,

(19:00):
like I it's getting restless it you know, but I'm
still focused on achieving. That's where my mindset is at.
It's all really about growth. Like I'm really just feel
like that's the only way to change is to change
your mindset. Like I was seeing in the beginning, clothed cars, uh, friends, whatever,

(19:22):
all of that don't matter unless you really set yourself
to have a purpose. Like I was speaking on how
some people just go to work. You know what I'm saying,
that's their choice. You know what I'm saying, They probably cool,
that's they mindset. I just wanna make sure I could,
I can afford to live decent and then pass away.

(19:43):
They don't wanna do no adventurous shit. I'm more adventurous,
like I'm I mean, what if you want s like
signs and stuff, I'm air sign.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
So I'm like, let's go.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
You know what I'm saying, I'm I'm a I'm a
intuitive person, so I'm always thinking.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
That's why I come up with the name think and.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Reflect, you know, voice your opinion.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
It them some comic t common terms.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
But nobody, you know, when they come to that part
of it, and nobody thought to put it like me,
it's together anyhow. But yeah, man, this it's all about
the mind shit. Man, Like once once we get the

(20:30):
thoughts like and then you know, of course you gotta
have a plan once you set a goal, but you
can always change the plan as long as you stick
to the goal. That's my theory. When it come to that,
some people say change the plan. Nah, man, the goal
is the same cause you if your goal better be.

(20:50):
So you know, I ain't gonna say it better be,
but I'm hoping that's something you know, like big you
know like I rather I rather know cause I know
other like you understand once you understand the simple part
of life. And then especially like I said, today's era,
it's so many ways to keep a dollar rolling, you
know what I'm saying, Even if it ain't rolling the

(21:12):
way you want it, you can s you still like
like like I'll be telling my children, I say, a
person can live like when I when it come to
simple like you ain't gotta you can have a h
a family of five people. That I don't mean you
gotta have a five bedroom. You get what I'm saying.
You you you can have a one bed room with

(21:34):
ten people. That's how you might choose to live. So
that's the simple part of life. Like how however you
choose to live, like your comfort level of you know
what you wanna drive in all of them type things.
That's the simple part of life. See, it's all mindset

(21:56):
once you see this. This is me trying to help
y'all because I I'm not perfect, far from.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
It, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
And then I got you know, I got hands on stuff,
so you know, like like I like, I was just
telling my girl earlier, I say, yeah, justin Beeble got
the one song and the go song. He be like,
but I never heard the bar like the way I
heard it today, and he was like, need more time,

(22:26):
but time can't be borrowed. I I think I heard
that before, maybe it was in the song. But I'm like, man,
that's deep, because why worry? Like he basically saying, why worry?
Because time can't be borrowed, So you might as well
just live your fullest like some people call living they

(22:47):
f life.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
The fullest is partying all the time.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Like my l my thing, especially knowing I got people
like being like I didne created life. I kN I
f think and like, hey, hopefully I'm able to come.
You know what I'm saying, like the I don't want
'em to just you know, I wann'a gl I to
pass down some s wealth anyway, because m real wealth

(23:13):
to me is knowledge, Like that's the real wealth. Real
wealth is knowledge. Rich is fr is a cast amount.
Wealth is to able to have the knowledge to go
after it, which is a mindset.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Man, mindset is so deep.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
But getting back to what I was talking about, you
know how I changed my way of thinking with the prison,
and then now you know, I'm in another life like
being just committed.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
I'm basically married.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
I just don't believe really too much in the marriage
laws like sign the papers. I just feel like they
should just be monogamous.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
That's the that's w that's true marriage right there. You
know what I meaning.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
If we need to do some legalilities, we just you know, come,
I'm just there, you know, put each other on each other.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Life insurance or whatever.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
You know what I'm saying, Make them be finished, you know, trust,
put 'em in you know all of that stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
But yeah, it's the mindset, man. It's about the mind man.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
And I I'm at a point in life where I
ain't nowhere near where I feel like I could be
in life like where and then you just imagine when
you like achieved certain things. See right before that last incident, man,
when I got caught up, I was had, like I
think I was talking about it last week, but I was,

(24:41):
I seen what I can accomplish not doing what I
was always doing, which was really taking my life. I had,
like I always say, I was having fun, but I
wasn't living like with a purpose. I thought, I did,
you know, cause I had the signs marketing for I
can't up with the name back in like two thousand one,

(25:03):
but just straddling the fence back and forth, you know.
Then I started. I learned about incorporating, that's how, you know.
Then I learned that if you use the name for
a business, you gotta put what the business is.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
I did.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
I took a little what you would call a E test,
you know, skills and sh you know who you are,
and and then it just marketing was like what I
was trying to do, and it is what it says.
So I stuck with it, you know, but still straddling
the fence. But like I said, I started having children,

(25:37):
so I started backing away from the streets anyway, just
cause it wasn't I wasn't getting nowhere with it, And
and I was responsible for a life. So I'm like, man,
I gotta change. That's and I had already used to
do school. So I'm like a garb a little trade.
You know what I'm saying. I got a daughter. Now
I'm about to go get the trade real quick. That

(25:57):
way I could get within eight months to a year.
I have a nice new skill. And it used to
be so many machining jobs. Cause I went for a
machine and I was the trade man. It was so
many machining jobs. It used to be like forty fifty.
But then a recession here boom, man, it's caaty, you know.
But I I'm always grinding some type of way like

(26:20):
and I enjoyed doing this because even when I used
to be in the j in the penitentiary, in the jails, man,
they used to be calling me preacher. You know, my
last little go round I was, I became the assistant
grand chic. If y'all know what I you know, the
Morris Temple attribute, Bay, you know I I'm I'm still

(26:41):
like a you know, you gotta get a all the way.
I still got some old ways, bad heavy me all,
you know. But that's what another good thing about life.
You get to work on yourself at the same time, Like, man,
life is really simple. It's it's simple. But like I say,
I wanna be a venturist, so I'm about to create,

(27:03):
you know, make things, and some things it ay already
been done. Like yeah, but if I can be a
r a innovator, that's that's even better. But if I
can take the tools that's given too LUs out here too,
you know, cause they it's it's controlled chaos. Man. Like
I I was watching the Mike, not Mike else but

(27:28):
Cat Williams always calling money Mike. But Cat Williams. He
was like, man, when you start traveling, you will realize
how really true and great America is, Like we fucked
this country up. I know my community where I come from,
we don't. We don't get it. And when that's why
I really don't hang around. Like I love where I

(27:50):
come from, but everybody don't be on that page.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Like the mindset is different.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
So like my conversation is don't kind of like everybody
don't be flowing with it. So like I don't wanna say,
you gotta kind of stick to the what youre not
trying to be no more conversation to relate you know
what I'm saying. And then sometimes they listen, you know
what I'm saying, but unless you making millions of dollars

(28:19):
off of it, they don't think it. But I always
try to tell them, like you might be better at
it than me. I'm just telling you how to do it.
You know what I'm saying, what it is and what
you can get out of it. I ain't saying you
gonta get it, but hey, h this how you can
start anyway. So you know, you never know nothing unless

(28:40):
you start. Mindset.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
It's all.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
The mindset is the most powerful part of trying to achieve.
Strive like you know, like they say National Charity Day,
I got a nonprofit.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
I've been right way be yessing with it.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
You know what I'm saying, But it's together for one,
you know, I'll go check out the Instagram together for one.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
So it's for inner city youth.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
I was gonna do the eight to sixteen when I first,
like S really came up with it. I me and
the partner started it. But it was another story with that.
