Speaker 1 (00:02):
What a sad, terrible week. It was just filled with
bad news, and yet somehow it's a good reminder of
what it means to be an American.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
This morning, what does it mean, Kenny?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Well, you know you and I were old enough to
remember two thousand and one, and I was thinking about
this yesterday. The kind of young people that support Charlie Kirk,
his fans and supporters, podcast and radio show listeners. They
were probably a little too young to remember it. They
weren't born yet, or maybe they were just babies. They
might have been tin like my son. He knows about

(00:35):
it now, obviously, but when he was ten, he just
thought seeing those explosions and big fires on television.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Was really cool. Yeah, until I sat him down and
explained it to him. Then he felt really bad.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Then he felt bad. Yeah, And did you shame him
and punish him for it? Of course? Yeah, obviously it's
a smart go to your room something. Well.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Okay, So on Wednesday, young people who weren't old enough
to remember two thousand and one got to witness what
it was like to have somebody murdered simply for being
an American, simply for being a patriot speaking their mind.
Charlie Kirk was killed. You can think about it kind
of for the same reason all those people were murdered
on two thousand and one, you know, twenty eleven. I

(01:17):
mean a September eleventh, two thousand and one, which is
a tragedy. I mean, there's you can't really put it
into words. It's so awful.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So that's what it means to be an American. No, oh,
there's more. There is more.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, they don't remember it. But here's what else they
don't remember. They don't remember September twelfth, two thousand and one.
On September twelfth, two thousand and one, people gathered together
all over the country held up signs in the street
that said, honk if you love being an American, and
they handed out sandwiches and bottles of water to first
aid workers or first responders or volunteers picking up rubble.

(01:53):
And downtown Manhattan people went out and volunteered. They donated
time and money and blood, sweat tears. We were all
unified for a short period of time. It didn't matter
if you were a Democrat or a Republican. Boy that's
changed a lot in twenty four years, hasn't it. It
really has, you know, And it's like during that first
election at George Bush, it was contentious, you know, Bush

(02:16):
verst score, there was some argument over whether or not
yet actually won The second term at George W.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Bush wasn't quite the same, was it now. I'm this
isn't white Cot. You know, a pandemonium for George W. Bush.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
It's just amazing how after nine to eleven happened. Even
a lot of Democrats said, all right, maybe a Republican's
not that bad right now. I guess what I'm saying is,
you know, after a tragedy, there have been times in
the past when we were unified, we were brought together.
I hoped that the pandemic would do that. I mean,
obviously I didn't want the pandemic to happen, but.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
It did not work out that way. This isn't unifying
the country. It's unifying one one half of the country,
or maybe a third. Forty percent. Let's give them forty percent. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I think that's fair. You get forty each and then
there's like just twenty percent of undecided idiots that just
don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I just don't know. How do you not know? By now?

Speaker 3 (03:09):
If you're old enough to vote, you ought to be
old enough to see what's going on around you.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I'm comfortable though, with them admitting that out loud, right,
Like I have more respect for that than the person that's, oh, yeah,
this guy is a hitler.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
It's like, well, why do you think he's hitler?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Well, on Sunday, me and my friends go to Panera
bread and one of my girlfriends told me that, what
the hell are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You? Somebody said it and I believe it.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah, you get your political news while you're eating a
panini from somebody that's a soccer mom with them bleak.
I guess what I'm saying is it could always be worse,
but it could always be better too. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I don't think you're going to see that lineup from
both sides like we did with the patriotism on September twelfth.
It just this, well, our country, the world does to
be kind of heating up with warlike thought, if not
actual war, and this country certainly seems to be joining

(04:08):
in on that. I just read this morning early that
France's government is in a lot of trouble. That could
be the next Nepaul.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, it's very bad in France right now, apparently the
leader of France is French. Huh, yeah, imagine that. Yeah,
care for that feels like a mistake, but yeah, I
did see that. That what so they have a president
and they have a prime minister, and they have to
they need a new prime minister. I guess what's the
difference between those two things.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Either one of them's in charge of croissants and the
others in charge of scones or something.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I was wonderings, like, all right, so the president that's
the leader of the country. We know he was a
victim of a child predator because he's still married to her.
And whether or not she's a trannee, I have no idea.
I always thought the conspiracy theory that she's a tranny.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
It was like, you don't need it. It's already a
weird scenario. It's interesting she.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Started dating him when he was fifteen and she was
almost forty.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
You don't need to make that.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
And now she's the first lady, she's an elderly woman
and he's in his forties.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
You don't need to make that weirder. It's weird already.
You just need to make you aware of it, that's all.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
But if she is a tranny, you also got in
wonder all right, so none of my business, I mean, obviously, no,
it's not like that would ever happen in America, Big Mike.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Well, supposedly there were anti well there were pro Trans
messages written on the shell casings of this rifle that
allegedly belonged to the assassin. I don't know how much
of this you can actually believe, and some of it
still seems to be speculation at this point. And they
found a rifle laying in the woods, wrapped in a towel,

(05:49):
gently gently laid there, wrapped up in a towel, with
some of the bullets still in it, and all, I
don't know, it just seems like a setup. I'm gonna
you know, maybe that's a decoy. Maybe that is the
stuff that they're focused on, and the guy that left
it there has moved on. But if if it was

(06:12):
a Trans or pro Trans shooter, Charlie Kirk explained that
I saw a video yesterday where he was having a discussion.
Most people argue when they have these kind of events.
Charlie would argue with you, but he would argue with
you in a very respectful, almost friendly style.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Smiling, polite. Yeah, that was this thing.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, and get in your face or scream at you
or tell you you're a moron for thinking that way.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Friendly debate.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Yeah, he would just explain his side and he would
actually listen to your side, which just startled people. You'd
think that would be what they want. But a guy
asked him, he said, well, you're you're antire trans and
he's like, no, I'm just pro reality.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah we're not.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
If you won't pretend with them, then you should die.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I don't think that twenty years ago he would have
been considered conservative at all if he had the same
beliefs right right, like don't get get married or what like.
Bill Clinton was considered liberal and those were his positions.
But secure the border.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
It's interesting to think. But with that being said, they
just played my favorite clip a minute ago on Fox
News and they edit it out the best part. There's
this clip in Charlie kirk Wor. He's talking to this
blonde woman and she gets so nervous while she's debating
them that she takes her boobs out and she doesn't
do it.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
She doesn't do it on purpose. She takes the milk.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
I've asked, what laws are you talking about? Can you
be specific?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I'm sorry, I'm very nervous, but this is what you do.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
This is what you do. You take people and you
put them under the spotlight.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Did you see that? Why did she take her booby out?
I don't think she.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
If she took it out, it was on purpose. If no, no, no,
she did it on accident. Watch she gets nervous. She
grabs her shirt and her jug fall out.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Watch some laws Congress should pass. I've asked, what laws
are you talking about? Can you be specific?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
She pulled.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Sorry nervous, but uh, this is what you do.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
This is what you do.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You take, you shoit it.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
She crosses her arms over her boobs. I guess as
a protection move. You know, when you're when you're nervous
and tends to you do that sort of thing.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I guess for some reason, they just played that a
minute ago on Fox and Friends.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
While over and over and over again. It was so distracting.
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
It didn't come all the way out. It just a
lot of it, you know, showed up. It's kind of unexpected.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
You gotta Charlie Kirk mets some fascinating people during.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
The weekend of your Life. It's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the greatest show on
Earth EGO on.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
You Walton and Johnson Radio Network.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
It's commercial on TV right now for John Cornyn to
tell you how horrible Ken Paxton is and they highlight
how him and his wife are getting a divorce. But
next week I have a speaking event I'm booked at
with both Angela Paxton and Ken Paxton, and they're both
agreed to participate. They're obviously being cordial, or at least

(09:10):
it seems that way.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I think in this country that divorce is shocking to
the voting public these days. I would say no, probably not,
since half of the voting public has been divorced.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
It is an odd position to take because it's like
they're saying. John Cornyn's basically saying that there's something wrong
with Donald Trump when he runs those political ads.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, well, these people are not moral of good standing
and good character because they're getting divorced. Well, hello, you're
talking about over half of the country right now.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
If John Cornyn wants to be the MAGA candidate, he
can't attack Ken Paxton for getting a divorce because the
MAGA president got divorced twice.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
I just sorry, I just noticed this stuff people.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Just like with Charlie Kirk, just like with any of
these political so called debates and arguments, they just say things,
just say stuff and you just hope it sticks. You
never have to prove it. People would often tell Charlie
Kirk he was transphobe, but he was racist, and he
would ask him give me an example. He wouldn't just

(10:23):
shut him down and tell him to get out, give him,
give me a good what did I say?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And they never do.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
There's a clip from Charlie Kirk talking to a college student.
There are lots of clips like this. This isn't the
only one, but this is a good example of what
Steve's talking about. A white guy in a dirty shirt
with a man bond walks up and just starts swearing
at Charlie Kirk. There is his proudest moment, and instead
of him having his cool moment, he becomes part of

(10:51):
a best of clip for Charlie Kirk. You're gonna hear
some clips in this, like the audio mutes when he swears.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
That just Charlie swearing and cursing.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
No, obviously, would you like to have.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
A substantive conversation or no, man, would you like to
have a conversation?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (11:11):
Yeah, Yeah, I don't like you. I think you spread hate.
I think you spread bigotry.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
I think you a lot of people off because I
just I mean, you're just an awful person. I don't
think you really want a debate because you're just here
to put people off and energize your crowd of racists.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
What have I ever said that's racist?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Can you name one thing I support?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Charlie?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Can you name anything?

Speaker 4 (11:33):
I think you're just trying to play a game, and
I think this is obviously going to be easy.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
Said that.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
I just want to hate you. You're awful. Get off
my camp.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
When have I ever said anything that's hateful on a
nice day? He can't say anything I've ever said that's racist,
because I've never said anything that's racist.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Right here, A little bit that's hateful rhetoricing what I
guess is true between me and you, I think, and
one's a little bit racist sometime.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Kind of minute.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
It is a great song, you know, I know we've
played it before. It's just it's just the perfect thing
to play at the end of a clip like that.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
I think they keep saying things, you're this, you're that,
but there's no evidence nobody brought anything.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Where's the receipts? Isn't that something the kids say? Yeah,
if you think that's racist, where do you see the
view if you think that's racist? And if it's racist.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Along with my kind of racism, I just don't like
your kind of racism.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
All right?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Do we need to hear the views response to Charlie
Kirk's death or.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
You know, we talked about that yesterday briefly, I think
maybe off the air. I was just curious, what was
the view gonna be like yesterday, first day, first show
after the Charlie Kirk assassination. I almost don't really want
to know, because I'm sure they just they didn't disappoint,
did they.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Well, if there's time to play it on the show today,
we certainly will. There's no shortage of clips of prominent
liberals and leftists, No, not just on TV, but you know,
public school teachers, government prosecutors denigrating Charlie Kirk, celebrating his death,
and there have been a lot of firings in the
past twenty four hours.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
A lot of people losing their jobs and probably some
more still to come because they're kind of like really
dumb dogs that you just keep trying to teach him
a trick, they just won't learn.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
We actually helped to spread the word about one English
teacher in the Baytown area of Houston, Texas, apparently posting
things on social media mocking Charlie Kirk for his death.
And now it's made the Houston Chronicle. They have published
an article about how people are trying to get this
teacher fired and that's because of a lot of our listeners.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Something out with that's right, So thank you everybody. Today
is Friday, Friday time morning. The best place Scott this weekend,
start this weekend. Coffee wakes you up in the morning.
