Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tammy Duckworth is a lawmaker in Washington, d C. She's
a Democrat. Over the weekend, she hopped onto her iPhone
or her laptop or whatever she used to write the
following tweet. Social Security is your money. Hands off now?

(00:21):
If it's my money, why did you take it from
me and told to be hands off? I think not
understanding why she jumped in in the middle of this.
I think it is my money, and yet you took it. Now, people,

(00:41):
she's saying this to try to attack Donald Trump and
other Republicans aren't getting rid of Social Security. So one
of those false alarm, false flag, crying wolf moments. But
the logic of it is so infuriating. I actually do
think it's my money. You don't. You don't think it's
my money, So you took it, and I'd like it back.

(01:04):
Once again, I repeat a point we've made probably an
infinite amount of time on the radio. If you took
all the money you put into Social Security your whole life,
and you just invested it in the S and P.
Five hundred, you would be a millionaire by the time
you retired. But instead you get a thirty thousand dollars
a year paycheck until you die. If you're lucky. If

(01:25):
you're lucky, Yeah, what do you think sounds better? They're
doing it for you, Kenny, obviously you me. None of
us can be trusted with that kind of windfall, so
it's best to keep it away from us. When I die,
I don't get to give all the money I gave
to social Security to one of my family members as

(01:47):
an inheritance. That just goes away.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, And if you leave money for an inheritance, the
government's going to get some of that too.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Social Security sucks. It really sucks if you think about
what it's actually doing and what would have happened to
that money if it Basically, social Security is useful to
one group of people, people that would never have been
smart enough to save any money at all, ever, a dime,
not a nickel, to that one small group of people
that are just two here that would see one hundred

(02:16):
bucks and go spend it on a brand new pair
of Nike's. That fine for them, But for most normal
people with the logic to put that money away and
invest it in something that is the worst investment you
make your whole life is Social Security. It's not even close.
It's not your fault. They didn't ask you, did they
because it's because apparently it's not my money. It's not

(02:37):
really no good morning, it's Monday. Well hello, I got
that out of your crawl. As they say, Kenny had
some stuck in his crawl, had halk it out all
over you this morning. That felt good? Yeah, exactly. Anything
new going on down and to buy you in New
Orleans that it turns out the uh, I guess the

(03:00):
the mayor over there, LaToya Cantrell, is in a little
bit of trouble. What Yeah, And I'm assuming at some
point here, you know, she's gonna she's gonna have to
go away to jail, same place where Ray Nagan went. Well,
that's not that simple in New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You know, there's a little give and take have to
take place.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
But it does look kind of bad corruption wise. I mean,
if you're not a big fan of corruption. Fourteen felony
counts of wire fraud, that's a lot of counts. And
then there's the conspiracy, conspiracy to obstruct justice. And then
there's the lying.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
You know, they hate it when you lie to them,
especially grand juries people like that. So yeah, there's a
lot to dig around in right there. In the meantime,
I understand that Ms Mayor is not going out and
doing a lot of public events that she was expected
to attend over the weekend. She was home eating her
new favorite ice cream. I'm sure you've seen the picture

(04:08):
of her favorite ice cream.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, it's probably very expensive, right, it's called an indict mint. Wow. Yeah,
sounds that sounds yummy. This has been going on for
a while here. Do her constituents even care? Well, it's
a very good question. One of the things I've really
learned come to understand recently is after a group of

(04:30):
people go out and declare war, you know, law fair
judicial weaponization of our government against their opponents, the way
that the left has when their side gets into any trouble,
they just probably dismiss it because they assume that when
when their side is in trouble, it's for the same
reason that someone on our side was it so, And

(04:51):
of course an objective person would look at this and say,
hang on it. Second, here is there is there evidence
of wrongdoing? If there is, then forget about your own
side for a minute, put that aside, divide your opinions
from reality, and ask yourself, can this person be trusted.
With the case of Donald Trump, they were impeaching him

(05:12):
when there was no proof of any wrongdoing. He got
impeached for making a phone call to Ukraine. He got
impeached because a bunch of people rioted on January sixth.
They rifled through his wife's underwear drawer. And I remember
that Ukraine phone call. I believe Joe Biden actually bragged
about doing what they accused Trump of doing. Right, Joe said, yeah,

(05:32):
I did it. Trump said n No, don't look at me.
But let's go ahead and get Trump in the meantime.
But LaToya Cantrell, the mayor of New Orleans, was indicted
on federal charges due to allegations of corruption and fraud
related to her relationship with the former city police officer.
Now here's the thing. Here's that actually happened. She was

(05:53):
accused of using her position to misappropriate city funds for
personal trips. She stayed in that hotel. Not hotel, it
was a city owned apartment. We know she stayed there.
We know she stayed there with the guy. People from
the Times. Picky you not exactly, a right wing news outlet,
documented the fact that she traveled there late at night,
to conceal her relationship with her bodyguard. It was also

(06:16):
a cop. She falsified documents purportedly. Really looks like this
was a crime that was committed.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Well, yeah, a lot of crimes committed, because after you've
committed the first round of crimes and people catch on,
then you start excuse me committing more crimes to hide
your original crime. Than it's just criminal behavior. And it's
like the diagram you would draw up in school to
explain to people what criminals do.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah, so, anyway, I guess LaToya Cantrelle is going to
be a pretty big deal in a short time from
now when she makes it to Cell Block C. Can
you run for mayor Cell Block C? I wonder you
know it's New Orleans. I don't see why not? Are
in three suits? Work on Monday? Monday? Monday, Yes, Monday,

Walton and Johnson Radio Network.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I do like the Horn sec show though, Okay, good
positive found something you can glean from this in a
positive way.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
That's nice? Are you uh? Are you? This is a
strong independent woman singing the song Steve. Are you suggesting
that it's not? As? Is she brave too? She's stunning
in pray Oh I didn't know she was that bad.
She is stunning and brave. I don't. I don't know either.
It's I actually didn't think that was that bad. But
it wasn't the version of this. I didn't say bad
or good. It's just not you know, the original that

(07:39):
was originally a song featuring Genesis, who, by the way,
are has no association with the Bible. I looked into it.
Really yeah, I thought they wrote it. It turned out
it was just a coincidence. I had no idea. Well, anyway,
greeting's kettos. Thanks for turning on your radio. It's us,
you're you, thanks for joining. I saw on the Monday morning,
you're alive. And so over the week, Donald Trump met

(08:01):
with Putin in Alaska. And I know people are probably
kidding about this, but a handful of people asked, why
would Putin meet with Trump in Alaska if he had
to fly all the way through Washington, d C. To
get there. Yeah, it's all a little map with the
flight patterne just not exactly accurate, that's all. It went
viral on social media. Funny though, it was funny if

(08:21):
you know what we're talking about, if you know you
know anyway, some people still think that Earth is flat Steven.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Of course they do. They sneak around behind the Earth
and come out the other side.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Then do that here in our own city, we have
grifting politicians that want to be in Congress, and with
the congressional maps moving around, people want to replace you know,
Sheila Jackson Lee or Al Green or whatever leftist lawmaker
exists in our little corner of the map. And to
do so, they're trying to create attention for themselves right
now on social media by spinning these far fetched conspiracy

(08:55):
theories about how Donald Trump went to Alaska and he
got blackmailed by Putin and nothing's gonna happen, and right, yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Without the black makling part and all the you know,
the conspiracies, I don't think anybody really realistically thought we're
gonna watch them walk out of a meeting and throw
their fists in the air and go peace.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
We have peace like Rocky Year. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
For one thing, President of Ukraine wasn't involved in these talks,
so it'd be hard to say just exactly where they are.
But Zelenski is in Washington, d C. Now, right, and
they're gonna have a nice little get together with the
leaders of what eight different European nations later today with Trump,
and I guess he'll tell them what Putin had to say,

(09:42):
and yeah, maybe he'll listen to the European guys and
see if there's any middle ground they can find.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Over the weekend, Marco Rubio, your Secretary of State, was
on Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan. And the fact
that Margaret Brennan even hosts this show is kind of incredible.
She should probably be a blogger on some subreddit group
or some for failed MSNBC news hosts, or doing some
podcast about crime or something. There's no way this woman's

(10:10):
an objective journalist. And she asked Rubyo one of the
dumbest questions. She says, when you guys meet with Zelensky
in Washington, DC on Monday, are you gonna bully him?

Speaker 3 (10:21):
No, there is concern from the Europeans that President Zelensky
is going to be bullied into signing something away. That's
why you have these European leaders coming as back up tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Look at the serious look on her face. You guys
get to bullies a lindsay like, what do you think
we're gonna do put his head in a toilet? What
are you You guys said this guy was the Winston
Churchill of Eastern Europe. You're telling me he could go
to a meeting and be bullied into submission as I
don't think so. Have you seen the way he dresses.
You can't bully a man with an outfit like that on.
You can't bully a man who cosplays like a soldier.

(10:53):
You can't bully a man who just suddenly started pretending
to believe in democracy and gay rights while simultaneously canceling
all elections in his country for the last three and
a half years. The thing they don't want you to
know is there's a lot of people in Ukraine that
don't actually sympathize with Zelensky. If you knew that as
an American, would you feel the way you do about

(11:15):
the Ukraine War? Maybe not. I mean I meet people
from Eastern Europe all the time, and Ukrainians included here
in our little city, often in the backseat of an uber,
who tell me they don't they don't like Zelensky. It's
a good place to hang out and take notes. Oh
I love asking them when I'm in an uber. I
love picking what country are you from? Cause I you know,

(11:35):
I care about this immigration crisis we're having. And when
you're in an uber, you're almost always in a car
with a person from another country, not always, but especially
if they're over a certain age. Nine times out of ten,
Yeah easy. I have this weird ability to like people
will tell me things they wouldn't normally tell other people,
like if they've committed crimes. Remember when I used to

(11:57):
go interview people on the street. They would always tell
me if they committed crimes, like they could trust me.
You have that look on your face that says, hey,
I did too, Like I'm an outlaw. Oh I've done worse.
You can tell me anything. I am an outlaw. You
see that street over there, I didn't even look both
ways before crossing it out. Yep, crazy, I've parked illegally before,
for sometimes up to fifteen twenty minutes paying that leader. No,

(12:20):
I don't want to hear it. Jaywalking. You're making me
an accessory. I'm the cartel leader of the jay Walkers.
You wouldn't believe me call ourselves the Sinaloa Jaywalkers.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I know why it was so hard to get you
to wear a mask. Yep, just get in line, Kenny,
come on.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Oh yeah. I've actually walked up to bars in liberal
cities in the later parts of the pandemic had told
people I was vaccinated and I wasn't. Oh my god.
They let me write in, they let me They let
me drink a whiskey sour without showing a VEX car. Crazy.
These criminals understand me. Man, guess what today is. Let

(12:57):
me go. We have a winner. You win. Oh boy,
watch my bride the chance to get to work Walton
