Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, it's Christopher Columbus Day, the hostagism and freed, Diane
Keaton is dead and wake always a lot of fun
this weekend. We appreciate everybody for coming out to the
comedy show on Saturday night.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
I can't wait to hear more about all of that
and more.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Besides, well, you're in luck. We're here for four and
a half hours.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
So I got nothing else to do really, nothing much
planned except for the you know, the radio show thing.
So stick around and thanks for starting your Columbus Day
with us. I guess not everybody is off today.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
No, not everybody is. We're at work. Why are you
salty about that? No, I'm just saying we're here. And
I noticed out there driving in a lot of headlights.
So a lot of people out there seem to be
getting up going to work. Maybe they've been at work
all night and they're going home, but they're not taking
it easy. Well, for the record, it is Columbus Day.
That's important. It's not serious holiday, it's not Indigenous people Day.
(00:55):
Donald Trump said, We're not going to do that nonsense anymore.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
But you know how states are. Many states like to
disagree with Trump just because it's fun. It gets you
a lot of attention. So they're gonna stick with their
Indigenous People's Day in California obviously.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
I mean they've never taking that back. Now, incoming truth bom.
You all ready for this. You're not gonna like it
if if you don't like unmitigated truth. But what I'm
about to say is indisputably true, and I'm sure it's
all fact based.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
You wouldn't spew something out of here where you couldn't
back it up with with legitimate facts.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Right, Yes, eight, there's a few reasons why Columbus Day
is important. Maybe you don't like Christopher Columbus. I never
met the man. Maybe you don't like him, right, that's fine.
But because Europeans came over and colonized the so called
New World here in this half of the planet, we
no longer participate in cannibalism or headhunting, or trial by
(01:50):
ordeal or ritualistic blood lettings or human sacrifice.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Let's see what you're saying, you need to bring some
of those back.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Well, but well, okay, we let them keep one infanticide.
What about trial by whatever they called it there? That
would be the trial by ordeal? Yeahah, I like that too,
where you tell somebody, well, if you didn't kill Hanto
or whatever the guy's name is, you have to climb
that tree, you have to swim through that river. If
(02:19):
you could swim through that river, you're not guilty.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, or you might be guilty, but we'll give you
a pass if you can fight these eight ninjas.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Actually, I guess if you think about it, we're not
doing the infanticide anymore either. Did you look at all
the list of planned parenthood centers that have closed since Trump?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah? Biggins too?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, all right, So all that being said, where's Trump
right now? Well, he's in Israel. They have freed all
twenty something of the hostages that they still had. I
thought the number was forty eight. I was expecting forty eight,
maybe twenty alive. Some of them are dead, right, I
think that's the gist of it. And from what I've heard,
most of the dead hostages seem to be female. And
(02:59):
I would like to think about what that tells us.
Don't know, you know exactly what it means. But anyway,
with that being said, as terrible as war and murder
and rape is, the important thing is your portfolio. How
will this affect your military industrial stocks, and we're here
to tell.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
You I think he means I will act his military
industrial stocks.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Well, I've dug around. I have a vague idea. The
end of the Israel Gaza war, we'll probably pressure some
of the military industrial stocks downward in the immediate term.
Looks like we're already seeing that Lockheed Martin RTX formerly
Raytheon as you know, the North Northrop Grooman Group, the LHAX,
A lot of these stocks have gone down a little.
(03:40):
The good news is, in the long run here there's
still plenty of war happening, so you don't need to
pan exceel. Yeah, the sector's growth is tied to structural
global tensions, not just one conflict. You've still got Russian
war going on, obviously, Steal, some tension around the Gulf
and Yemen, that sort of thing. So there's don't worry.
(04:01):
There's gonna be plenty of blood, death and decay in
the months to come.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Sure, Now, there was a little bit of a correction Friday,
if you remember in the market now Jones was down
almost nine hundred and the Nasdaq was down almost nine hundred,
which is a different percentage by quite a bit. But
still big, big setbacks. But now stock futures are in
the green this morning already.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah, so it looks very positive because the end of
the war can also help the economy.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Also, have you checked out mayor elect of New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Oh, we're onto that now. Huh.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah. She just want it straight out against multiple opponents
over the weekend. So that's a done deal. Well, it'll
be done in January when she takes over from Ms Cantrell.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
All right, so we're talking about Helena Moreno right, yeah,
and Jeff Lanrius congratulated her. He looks forward to working
with her, the governor Louisiana and the new mayor of
New Orleans. She's very attractive from certain angles, but remember
certain angles can be misleading. You know, That's what I'm
worried about. I really want a hot mayor. But on
the other hand, how does she look with no makeup on?
(05:11):
You know?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
What does she look like at the beach? Those are
all the important questions we'll try to answer for you.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah, we're gonna get down to the nitty gritty this
morning on the Walton and Johnson Radio Network. You're here,
it's Monday. Some people are off for Columbus Day. We
call those people lazy.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, it's Monday madness Walton Than Johnson.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Well, what would you play for Christopher Columbus Day? I
don't know, Yeah, what do you play? Also, they freed
the hostages, so it feels like this is appropriate music.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, I don't know if celebrating the release of dead
people is like, well, I know they're happy to have
them back. It's better than where they were.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I mean in Israel, they're celebrating today.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
They're they're cheering in the streets, They're cautiously celebrating.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
It's a celebration, right, I'm sure it is. I'm not.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I just said it was.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, you get it.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
It's a cautious celebration. That's a type. It is a kind.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Yeah. Anyway, well, all that being said, it is Columbus Day,
and we celebrate Columbus Day around here.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
But we're gonna be busy celebrating AOC's birthday too, So
it's I mean, we're gonna be busy.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
And Lenny Bruce. What a Christopher Columbus, Lenny Bruce and
AOC all have in common? I don't know. Beats me, Yeah,
search me either. How do they they're all cool with
the Jews or I don't know. We'll have to double
check on that one. But anyway, Israeli hostages are out.
A hostage spoke to his mother heartwarming moment. She said,
(06:39):
You're coming home. There's a transcript of it. An elated
mother of one of the freed Israeli hostages was able
to video chat with her son for the first time
since he was taken captive.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Just what seven hundred and thirty something days, give or
take ye could you believe that seven hundred plus days?
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Man ve Zanakar was seen telling her twenty five year
old son mattin maton whatever, there's no more war. It's
over a very emotional phone call. She said, you'll be
home in my arms soon. It was a beautiful moment,
a sentiment that was widely distributed by the media. The
contents of what we don't speak the language, but it
(07:20):
was in Hebrew. We could play it for you, but
it's not an English and usually not playing stuff in
English on this show didn't work real well.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
It's less effective than just like English would be.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
We kind of discriminate around here, mostly English on this show.
That's just kind of our thing. But anyway, greeting's kids.
Trump went two for three today. His peace proposals were
accepted by Hamas and Israel, but they were rejected by Portland.
Portland said no to that. That's a hard sale there.
I know, it's hard to convince those people. Well, they're
(07:54):
so anti American, their culture is so different from the
rest of ours.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah, I mean you can understand.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Right. So Trump is in Israel right now, and a
friend over the weekend told me he was concerned that
Trump might not be safe there, like this could all
be a trick. I was like a trick from who
the Jews are the Muslims? And the person I was
talking to you said, yes, ool, it's like conray, calm down,
come on, tricky business. I'm sure the Muslims are sneaky.
We're not saying the Jews are. We don't know what's
(08:20):
going on over there, but anyway, it seems to be
peaceful so far. Everybody just be cool.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
After we left Friday, we'd already found out that Trump
didn't get this year's peace price, no big surprise from
the Nobel crowd. But then a few hours after we left,
I saw a news story I had to double check
and make sure it was true. But the woman that
of Venezuela that did get the Nobel Peace Prize is
(08:47):
pretty dedicated it.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
To Trump, right, Apparently I like that. Apparently down in
Venezuela they consider her to be the like the Venezuelan Trump.
Maria told the BBC she is grateful for what President
Trump is doing around the world for peace. She dedicated
her prize to him and of course to the people
(09:10):
of Venezuela. And I will tell you it's an interesting
point here. Machado is Venezuela as opposition leader, awarded the
twenty twenty five prize, having long campaigned against the country's
President Maduro, whose twelve year rule is viewed by many
as illegitimate. Oh that's weird. What is it about his
politics that's so controversially. I don't know. I guess he
(09:32):
must be another one of those right wing extremists. Huh,
that's probably it. Yeah, that must be what it is.
Couldn't be communism or socialism or some other form of Marxism.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Oh that looks bad.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yeah, Marxism's great. I don't know why they need to
give a Peace prize to somebody for being against Marxism.
That'd be like being against the indigenous people who committed infanticide. Yeah,
we all agree that that's okay. So that's what's happening today.
It's a big morning, a lot happening. Donald Trump is
in the Uha Israel right now, hanging out. They're no
(10:03):
longer calling it what is it, hostage square, and they're
now calling it freed square. Okay, but they say it
in Hebrew, so it just sounds different over there.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
It's not the same as Yeah, well it means the
same thing.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Can we change George Floyd Square to Charlie Kirk Square?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Watch your mouth on.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
What I'm just saying. Times change come on as.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Well, just just you know, go to Portland and give
yourself up, right now, turn yourself in sir.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Well, you know, if there was ever a time to
do it, I think it would be now. The sentiment
in America about politics and that sort of thing very different. Now.
I'll give you an example what I'm talking about. This morning,
I got up and I was walking Milton and I
stumbled onto this video on the internet and I could
tell this was a video from before Trump got elected.
Because listen, how scared these two teenage or college aged
(10:49):
girls are when asked how many genders there are? How
many genders are there? I feel like there's too because
don't see it, don't cap.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
But I feel like you either switch from a boy
to a girl sometimes stop stop stop.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I feel like it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, whatever
you want to be. It's fine, it's okay, yeah, but
I feel like they switch back and forth, like, you know,
keep it like it doesn't really matter, like there's you
can be anything you want to be, it doesn't matter.
Come on, sucks.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I'm sorry, she's weird and she has to warn her.
You know, the biggest problem with that is is the
answers always start with I feel, and that's pretty much
where we start drifting off of the beam there a
little bit. Well, it's all about my my feelings, not
facts anymore.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
The girl is trying to be diplomatic to the trans
but then her friend was like, hey, you're stepping on
a land mine. Here, cut it out. You're gonna get
canceled the next thing you know, you'll be kicked out
of biology class and we won't be able to be
on the volleyball squad next semester. And quiet just tell
them whatever they want to hear and we'll leave.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Of course, going viral, even for stupid stuff is still
good in this world. I mean, look what happened to
huck to a girl. She went viral and turned it
into well, a brief mode of fame and probably some money.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
That girl made one joke about doing something generous with
her mouth, and then the next thing you know, thousands
of people were getting ripped off on the internet on
a meme coin crypto scam. Isn't that weird how you
go from one thing to the other so quickly. Would
anybody like to buy any meme coins? We have ten
percenter coins for sale. Yeah, I mean, if somebody wants
(12:26):
to buy them, we'll make them. We got a new
one called billy ed Coin. Is it worth anything? Absolutely not.
No work, so I can't do Monday. What are your
plans for the weekend? Work? Work? Work? Oh that's not fun.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Walton and Johnson Radio Network
