Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning to you. What did you say, mister, or
something about revival.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Yeah, it sounds like you got a big old church
revival going on here. Let's put some hands up, give
it up for jeebus. Were ten days away from the
Bully's birthday. Y'all know that it's just ten days to criminals.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
You know, I just saw something funny that the black
community was doing on social media that you reminded me of.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
The black community. There's a special social media just for
black communities.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
There is.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
There's black TikTok, there's Black Twitter. I'm surprised you don't
know that. I think you do know that.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You're just trying to make me sound racist.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
No, I don't get on that social media much. But yeah,
I got to say, you the one that keeps telling
us all about the black community, they're whitey.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah, there's a trend right now where parents of young
black children are taking videos of their kids having temper
tantrums and they're adding church music to it, like like
organs and stuff, like the kids having a religious awakening
instead of just having a temper tantrum in the middle
of the walmart.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It's just careful when you say that grown ups are
adding organs to the to the children music musical organ
thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
You know, like the church revival stuff. That was what
I remembered what we was just listening to, right exactly.
It's very entertaining.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
What is the point of all of that.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
It's funny to look at it's a trend on the internet.
I know, what do you mean, what's the.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
It's their own children. Yeah, okay, so they know that
they're bad parents. They're admitting it to the world and
look at my children, how awful they are. But it's
funny to the rest of us because we don't have
to put up with them.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, it's not our kids, what do we care?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
But it still seems odd coming, you know, from their
own parents.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, it probably is.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
But speaking of odd, we got a Florida Man. You know,
they don't they don't quit. Matter of fact, I think
they gear up a special during the holidays. Got Florida
Man Report coming up, all kinds of other Titan stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yea, it is a very entertaining Florida Man.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Also the Sports Report and all the latest on what's
been happening in the in the world of mostly football,
because that's the season right now, y'all.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Know.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, we're not really good. And I spent a lot
of time talking about basketball, although there was some I'm
told they'd play in Yeah, but it's hardly is it
may yet?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
No, didn't. We's up with basketball.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
But real quick, have you seen the video of the
Australian man who disarmed the terrorist?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh yeah, I thought that, you know, he got he
got shot for that later on because there was two
of them and he disarmed one of them and the
other one, uh started popping something. Why he didn't put
that dude down when he took the gun away from him,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Well, here's Donald Trump, probably because he's in Australia. Yeah,
you know how Australians are. Here's the President of America
describing what happened.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
And in Australia we probably read day it's been.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
It's been a.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Very very brave person actually, who went and attacked frontally
one of the shooters and saved a.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Lot of lives.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
So very brave person who's right now in the hospital
pretty seriously wounded.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
So I great respect to that man that did that.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Uh now do you know the man's name?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I think his name's Ahmed, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Do you know that man's religion?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Is he a Muslim?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Okay, I don't think Benjamin Nett and Yahoo knew that
that the the guy that.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Disarmed one of the shooters was was a Muslim as well.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I mean the shooter was Muslim.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
The leader of Israel said it was a Jew that
disarmed the terrorist. I don't think he was right about that.
Certainly doesn't sound Ahmed, doesn't sound like the name of
a Jew. But I could be wrong.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
In a religion. Can we do like people do over
here and just you know, in this country with the
religion you can just go yeah, you know what. I
was Baptist for a while, but now I'm gonna be uh,
I'm gonna be whatever, you know, Lutheran. Yeah, but I
don't know if Muslims and Jews are allowed to do that.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I don't know what the rules are. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
So I considered switching religions just so I could have
access to some of the days off at work.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
But in the end, I decided to stick with the Catholic.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
That's kind of like the lawyer that's doing the I
R S right now because he wants to claim his
dogs and thinks all of us should and I'll support
it if it looks like he has a chance of winning.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Same.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
We want to claim our pets, mainly dogs, all on
our irs, just like we do our children and get
you know, like a little tax rebate for that, because
we obviously treat our pets these days like our children
and we spend a lot of money on them.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, mister, are you ready to go? Or what? What's well?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Ya? I could tell you a few things if you
which wasn't brought to you by the easiest Christmas shopping

a lot. So first of all, congratulations. If y'all didn't
look at it or hear about nothing about it, the
Heisman Trophy Award went to Fudd do the thing ly
on Mendoza.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
We have the announcement right here.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
The winner of the twenty twenty five Heisman trophy is.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Fernando Mendoza.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Could you can hit that.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
I want to every kid out there who feels overlooked
underestimated to know I was you. I was that kid too,
I was in your shoes. The truth is, you don't
need the most stars, hype or rankings. You just need discipline,
heart and people who believe in you.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And you need to believe in.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Your own abilities.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I hope this moment shows you that chasting your dreams
are worth it, no matter how big or impossible they seem.
God bless Joe Hoosiers.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Thank you guys all. He's a big fan of Hooters. Huh.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I think he said Hoosiers sure can like both. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I think he kind of let it slip that he's
a big Hooters fan.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, who's not, you know in a medium Hooters fan too, probably,
And uh, let's be even a little Hooters fan. And
they also made a big announcement the twenty twenty five
college wide Receiver with the Coolest Name. Would you guys
like to hear?

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (06:07):
The nominees for the college wide Receiver with the Coolest
sounding name are Kent State's de realist Clark Yep from
Rice Mobility produce Nitro Tuggle and from Florida State Squirrel
White and the winner is Nitro Tuggle.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Obviously, I mean have any nitro Tuggle sounds like the
perfect mixture of a NASCAR term with the pro wrestling maneuver.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I like that. That's cool. I'm into that.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Speaking of Heisman's last night was the nineteen les Seed
six years ago, the anniversary of Joe Burrow be a
name winner of the Heisman Trophy.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Over yeah, yeah, what's he up to these days?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
And then he went and sucked in Cincinnati yesterday while
I got skunked, and Joe Burrow said, ain't a team
in the NFL could won that game the way I played?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Well, they aren't the only ones. The Kansas City Chiefs
were on the brink of at least tying the game
yesterday with the Chargers. Unfortunately, their backup quarterback Gardner Minshew
through too short in the direction of Travis Kelson.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
Second down, fifteen and deep, and it is chucked at it,
It's picked up. I forget you that, and the Chargers
are gonna win, not the Chiefs out of the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
And.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Not the chief knocked them out of the playoffs. The
reason that the backup was in there obviously because there
was an injury to Mahomes over on the sideline and
everybody was watching it here at the ski cabin, and
we watched and we all watched the replay over and
over against it didn't look that bad, you know, it
didn't look like it got twisted up too much, nobody
fell on it, nothing like that. But he was laying there,

(07:53):
you know, in pain and agony. And it turns out
it is a season injury ending ACL tear. And now
all the speculation is is that the end of an
era of Mahomes and Kelsey.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, Retirement talks have swirled around Kelsey this year as
he's played his thirteenth NFL season, and the question came
back to the surface after Mahomes suffered that season ending injury.
While Mahomes promised to return to the field stronger than ever,
it's unclear.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
If Travis will be there next year because he is
getting old.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
He's thirty six, and he's allegedly getting married some I
guess sometime next year. His public has told him he
was Yeah, that's what he's been told, So he's got
to kind of go with that. So then if you
didn't stay up. Cowboys lost last night to the Vikings
thirty four to twenty six. The Saints had a big victory.
It's always fun to watch this. Now. Yeah, obviously they

(08:46):
ain't going to playoffs and nothing like that. But what
I'm seeing from the Saints now at this end of
the season, the surge is it looked like look really
promising for what's gonna happen next season. You know, they
got a quarterback in there that the team looks like
they enjoyed playing for. Uh so they win, and I

(09:06):
gotta think, you know, I know, nobody wants to hear
nurt year, nurt year, but it ain't gonna beat this year.
And in the Texans, what the hell is up with
the Texas? Man, they just they dominated well. Of course,
Arizona is also one of the worst teams in the
NFL with a three and eleven record, but the Texans
dominated them forty to twenty and that that's very Untexan
like lately.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Well yeah lately, sure, but in the grand scheme of things,
it's not very untexan like. In the grand scheme of things,
I think it's what we all ultimately usually expect from
the Houston Texans.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But how about Navy and that Army Navy game. I mean,
they're all always usually pretty close, and it was. It
was a close one.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
That they said that the Navy was gonna clench it,
but they they was a close game.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
The all time.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
It was very close all the way down there. I
did enjoy the crowd going wild and all the military excitement,
and everybuddy Odam was sending messages out saying, uh, you know,
he's always he's the name, he's a Navy guy, and
he was hoping we were pulling for Navy with him,
so we were watching.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, Oh don't worry, buddy, we were cheering for your
side as well.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Although I will admit that's one football game where if
either side winds, yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
They both, they're always winners.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Obviously. Yeah, exactly, I know you're excited.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
What's up the clause? Walt, come until you're sleep. Walton
and Johnson Radio Network.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It's a very white trash Christmas here on the Walton
Johnson Show. Yeah, buddy, you know, best kind there is,
by the way. Yeah, it's the best kind, right mister.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Oh yeah, white trash gripmost that's right. That's they'd leave
that name. That the word out of most of us angs,
but you know they meant it. They put it in
there sub subliminal melody.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah yeahs subliminally yes. Of course, that's just reading up
on some of the.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Uh, the battle of politics in the New Orleans areas.
You know, we got a new mayor coming into New Orleans,
and I love how careful they are when they talk
about the people they're replacing. She says, it was almost malfeasance,

(11:11):
almost that our current Mayor LaToya had no legislative agenda
at all for this term of her mayoralship. That's according
to miss Morrell, the next mayor, the new mayor, right,
So the next wave of New Orleans leaders have laid
out plans for the city's the healing of the financial wounds,

(11:33):
among others. And of course Mayor Cantrell, who is still
technically mayor, has vetoed Marino's budget that she's kind of
crafted and put together for the first year of her run.
So like anybody cares what LaToya thinks or does with
the budget these days, but have to be so careful.
It was almost malfeasance, almost, it was. You just didn't

(11:56):
want to say so okay.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Well, on that note, the mayor of New Orleans not
the only mayor in the Walton Johnson listening region who
has sparked controversy. Houston's Mayor, John Whitmyer is involved in
a dispute with his own political party. Yesterday, the Democrats
of Houston got together and they had a vote, and
they say we will never endorse him again. Why there's

(12:21):
there's the reason they're saying, and then there's the real reason.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, what what is the reason that they are they're saying,
which is not the real reason.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
He attended a fundraiser for a handful of Republicans, including
Dan Crenshaw. They're mad that he's friendly with Republicans now,
but is Dan you know Crenshaw Republican. Well that's a
great point, like what the moderate Republicans And what did
he do exactly? He went to a cocktail party, that's
what you're mad. It's not like he raised money for
Dan Crenshaw. I am told by members of the Democrat

(12:51):
inside elite. Yes, I have a source that that's not
the real reason why he is being ousted from the
Democrat Party. The real reason to tell, the real reason,
they don't like John Whitmyer has a little bit to
do with us. Yeah, a little bit, but not But
that's not most of it. To be fair, I just
had to lead with that. We are more of the symptom,
aren't we. They had a meeting over the weekend. They

(13:12):
had a vote to decide if they wanted to get
rid of him as a member of their someone they
wouldn't support.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
In the future.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
And the article that I drafted, the article I published
in the Houston Chronicle was mentioned. Oh really, and I
just feel bad about that that was brought up among
there was It was among the things that were being discussed.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
You think he cared.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
It's not the real reason.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I don't think he cares.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
It is not the real reason. The real reason that
they're ousting him is because in the back rooms of
the Democrat Party meetings and that sort of thing, there
are high ranking members of the Democrat Party that he
had promised loyal to, loyalty to who he's not. Actually,
he's not doing them any favors now that he's in charge.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
The real reason is he's not a lunatic. See that's
what I would have thought. You gotta be a liberal
lunatic these days, to be love and appreciated by the
other lunatics, because that's pretty much what the liberals are
now see.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
I had a hard time swallowing this pill, too, Billy.
That's what I thought as well. And I have been
told over and over again by members of the the
inside the Democrat Party who I spoke to this weekend.
They said they're not actually mad at him for talking
to Republicans. They're not actually mad at him for governing
the city the way he is, because he promised to
do all of that when he ran for office. They
knew that the real reason they're mad at him behind

(14:25):
closed doors is because he just quit doing favors to Democrats.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Well, I don't blame him the way they've treated him,
which came first.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
The chicken or the heck, right, it's a great No,
you're right, it's that I had a hard time wrapping
my mind around it too.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
I was like, so he's being reasonable. They said that
he's not being a lunatic.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I want a psial weather for covering action.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
