Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have we better listen close. You don't know what they're
liable to say. I don't know what he's saying. Do
you recognize this music, Steve no Idiocrasy? This was the
This music plays throughout the movie, often at like just
kind of chill moments where some guy talking over it
as a narrator, so you don't really pay attention to
the music as much. Dude, you know how good the
(00:21):
narrator's voice was in that movie. He was fantastic. The
movie Idiocracy had one of the best narrators. And you
know it's it's it's not enough to just have a
good narrator. That writing was so good to our newer listeners,
our younger listeners. If you've never seen the movie Idiocracy,
we don't even want you as a listener. Change the channel,
go go get that now. So fine, No, I'm kidding.
(00:43):
Of course you should watch. You should watch Idiocracy. It's
a great film. Idiocracy was a movie. I gotta know you.
It's British smart. Look who just walked in? Everybody you
the guy that's interrupted? Oh me, yeah, Oh I'm sorry?
Am I interrupting? I thought it was joining the converse?
Well you can, but I just didn't realize that the
middle of my sentence was interrupting the beginning of your sentence.
(01:05):
I didn't realize that idea. Okay, what's the idea. Let's
just put a idiocrasy on the radio.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
As the twenty first century began, human evolution was at
a turning point. Natural selection the process by which the strongest,
the smartest, the fastest reproduced in greater numbers than the rest,
A process which had once favored the noblest traits of man,
now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of
(01:38):
the day predicted a future that was more civilized and
more intelligent, but as time went on, things seemed to
be heading in the opposite direction, a dumbing down. How
did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With
no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to
(01:59):
simply ward those who reproduced the most and left the
intelligent to become an endangered species.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Now it sounds similar, right, Yeah, that works much better. Hey, everybody,
you're you're there, You're in the future. Now enjoy You know,
there was a time when I went to thought having
a pro wrestler on Fox News would make me feel dumb.
Weirdly enough, he is one of the smarter people on
cable news that that what's his name, Tyrus Cyrus at
(02:31):
Big Ol' Bolly. Well, they have a pro wrestler on
Fox News every day. Now, it's when idiocracy came out.
That guy wasn't on TV. Nobody's even occurred to anybody.
How funny that was. Wait, you guys have a kid.
There's a guy now he does come. Yeah, he's a
political pund in and he is a former pro wrestler. Well,
look that's politics. Back behind the scenes, they're all sharing
(02:52):
the same deli, tradeing at the same chikuderie board, and
then they come out during a Senate hearing and pretend
like they're against one another. That's how they do you.
That ain't right, man, I know, yeah, how you do it,
Billy Ed. We're halfway through the week here. I'm doing
better than most. I guess. Seems like a lot of
people out there are just not doing so good these days.
Maybe it's because of all the negative news they keep getting.
(03:16):
So we're here with all the upbeat positive news, right,
well I am, But also except when it comes to
the Jews, obviously, you know they they're not acting right.
What according to whom? What did the Jews do? Trump's
not happy with them. A lot of people aren't happy
with them. I'm betting them boys and Cutter ain't real
(03:37):
happy with them right now. Israel Trump's been, you know,
talking to that net and Yahoo guy were and trying
to get him to calm down, even though he was
the one who was attacked and had over a thousand
of his people, you know, innocently just killed in a
surprise attack. We know how that is, like one hundred
years ago. But for some reason now we think he
(04:01):
ought to be the one to make peace, calm down,
settle down, stop, you know, fighting back and defending yourself
and all that stuff. So Israel besides giving him hell
in the Gaza area there the strip they call it, Yeah,
they do call it. They do call it that. Yeah,
it's a gaza, it's a strip. Sure. Now, they went
(04:23):
ahead and attacked some of the Hamas people who happened
to be hunkered down in a Cutter which I still
like to say Qatar. And you know I have always
called it that as well, and I've heard people that
have actually been there before call it both things. That's
one country. I still am not sure if we're saying
it right. No, no idea, but IDs more Middle Eastern
if you say Qatar, yeah, I'm glad we figured out
(04:44):
in the air. That's the most important. I'm really happy
you got that right. Well, there is a lot of
war today, Billy, yet, and as you know, I'm I'm
fervently anti war. That's one of my biggest issues. It
has couldn't have been a Republican twenty years ago, couldn't
be a Democrat today based on where their positions are.
But I am an investor, yead. Oh, yeah, that's right.
Your war stocks have probably, if not gone up yet,
(05:07):
probably gonna go up this week. Besides this Israel Middle
East business going on barely? Was it Russia who decided
to attack Poland? Now, well they threw they okay, so
yes and no. They flew drones over Poland is how
I heard it. And then Poland responded they just fly
them around and look at them or did the drones
(05:30):
do something while they were up there? Well it depends
who you ask, you know, that's the thing. Russia says
they did nothing. Poland said they had to shoot them
down because they entered their airspace. They violated airspace agreements.
Unprecedented aggression. It just you know, what did they do?
They did they It was like you know, touching someone's
no no parts. You weren't supposed to go there. And anyway,
(05:51):
so Poland, NATO, this is the first time that's happened
since the war started where we're actually we feel like
they're attacking us, and we felt the need to attack
them back. Well, did the Polish people figure whether they
were gonna whether they were armed and they were dangerous,
or were they up there just taking video and pictures
maybe for a real estate ad. Could be a real
estate agent just wanted to sell some property on the
(06:12):
on the across the border in Poland and they need
some good aerial photos. We don't know. But Poland overreacted.
Now we're in a war. Well look, Billy, Yeah, that's
the thing. In real estate, they'll tell you they're not
here to sell the property, they're here to sell the lifestyle.
That's right, at a location, that's how that works. Right.
But okay, So anyway, I always wonder because I hate war.
(06:33):
But as much as I hate war, look, I can't
beat them join them today. Look at this over the
last six months. Here, just looking at the numbers, the
Northrop Group, that's up seventy six points. That's a nice
fifteen percent increase. That's looking good there. Lado's holding is incorporated.
Here's another popular stock for people in the in the
the war world. That's up thirty percent increase. That's forty
(06:55):
one points here over the last six months. RTX incorporated
the RTX Corporation. As I'm sure what they do, well, Okay,
that's an interesting question. The RTX dominates missiles and defense
electronics to play at US stockpiles from recent conflict to
drive demand. Twenty twenty five sale growth look at pretty
solid right now. That's twenty three points up. That's an
(07:16):
eighteen percent increase over the last six months there. Meanwhile,
aero Vironment. You may have heard of this company before
because they lead in tactical drone and loitering munitions. Now,
since this is a drone war, this is a nice
increase there over the last six months. Billieat, that's an
eighty seven percent increase one hundred and seven points. I
got to tell you, investing in war is always a
(07:38):
good idea. Two hundred and sixteen points for the Axon
Enterprise group. They focus on non lethal defense tech like tasers,
body cameras, military law enforcement. Obviously, with what with all
the crime out on the street and everything, there's quite
a bit of that going on. But that bleeds into
military industrial as well. Boeing is always a rocky one
because Boeing, while they are quite involved in military aircraft
(07:59):
man acting, they really suck at just building regular stuff. Yeah,
they really do. Yeah. They were in There's a lot
for a while there and then all of a sudden
everything just went quiet. I'm guessing the guy in charge
of Boeing probably paid off somebody up at the top
at some of the big you know, newspaper and you
know the different internet sites. And you said you don't
(08:21):
want to stop talking up bad about Boeing Snippy list something.
You know, You're probably right about that. I don't know
what the case may be at anyway, they are up
eighty one points. That's a fifty four percent increase there
over the last six months. Meanwhile, you got BWX Technologies
now they specialize in nuclear components for naval reactors, submarines,
that sort of thing. They used to just do kids bicycles,
(08:42):
didn't They bmx's that's bicycle racing close. I'd be BMX
and BWX technically different. Billy, yeah, uh oh okay. And
this is a sixty seven percent increase over the last
six months. They're up sixty five points one stock. I
was looking at today General Dynamics Corporation now again, submarines, tanks,
IT defense systems, predictable IT segments, offsetting variability. Fiscal twenty
(09:06):
twenty five sales growth looking solid. Forty nine percent point
increase here, that's an eighteen point six percent jump. There's
a lot of numbers over the well's up, is what
you're saying. There's plenty a there's a fortune to be
made while the wars are going on. I couldn't find
any that were doing bad. Huntington Ingles Industries Incorporated is
up right now. The only one I could find that's
(09:27):
struggling a little bit is the Lockheed Martin Group. And
I wondered, why, what is it feel bad for? Right?
What did Lockheed Martin do to suffer so much over
the last year. Now that's six months they're down. However,
that being said, over the last month they jumped from
four hundred and thirty points up to four hundred and
fifty seven. Not too shabby. Once again, dead bodies lining
(09:49):
the streets of Gaza and Ukraine. Very profitable for your
four oh one k if you pick the right stocks
bill Yet if you live. Yeah, I mean you feel
pretty safe over we're here, but you know some of
that going on over there that could ruin your entire
retirement plan, couldn't it. Yeah, you're safe over here. So
just put your headphones on, put your head back, close
(10:10):
your eyes, and enjoy the commute on the local light
rail as you travel off to work this morning. Yeah,
I think I must stay off at light rail. I
gonna call it Wednesday hump day. Well, too bad, that's
what we're Maha maha mohump day. Walton and Johnson Radio Network.
Watch out what you might get what you're after, he said,
(10:30):
watch out. Now you're careful, you might get what you
wish for that. That's one of them old say you
and I said you really smart people that get quoted
all the time. They're famous for Billy ed. I can't
help but notice what's taking place in Nepaul right now
is just fascinating. We talked about it yesterday, but now
the video's gotten out there, Nepal did something that just
(10:51):
it's so stupid. It feels like this was preventable. Let's
start with this. Nepal, for those who don't know, is
a country. What, yeah, country, you say, it's a place, right.
They got a government, parliament, the Haleshpiel all that, you know,
a different branches of government. It's not a big place.
I think it's on the border a China. It's the
Himalayan part over it in the mountaine party. There's no
flat spots. No, there's nowhere like you can park your car.
(11:13):
Probably well they don't have a lot of cars over there.
There's no place to leave it. The emergency break won't
hold it. And to put this into perspective, just you
know something to twenty nine million people. So it's it's
I guess it's roughly the size of Texas in terms
of population, right right, But you know it's not a
huge country, but it's relevant. It exists. It's next to China,
which has billions of people. No wonder though, how big
(11:35):
Nepal would be if you flattened it out instead of
all those hills and valleys. If if you're some way
you could just like you know, it's like a wadded
up piece of paper like a newspaper, and you you
flatten it out and you realize it's a lot. Yeah,
ten times as big as it was. That's an interesting point, Billy,
I don't We'll never know. We'll never know anyway, So
(11:56):
Nepal did something kind of dumb. They decided to outlaw
a social media. They said nobody in the country can
use any social media anymore. And this is just the
way it's being reported here in America that they blocked Facebook,
Instagram and other platforms. Now, did we ever decide whether
they blocked the social media because of the uprising or
if the uprising was because they blocked social media. Did
(12:19):
they just decide to block social media for no reason?
I suspect there might have been a little disturbance, right,
see that way they wanted to kind of keep it down.
If you put that on social media, that just gets
you more rioters, protesters or whatever to come. And they
thought that wrongly. If they just don't put it on
(12:40):
social media, nobody will hear about it. But word got around,
didn't it exactly the way it's being reported. You know
how journalists are, They never really give you the full story.
The way it was being reported was like, oh, and Nepal,
they just don't want you to look at Kim Kardashian
and the thong anymore. And it's like, no, I think
there was more to it than that. I think this
was about trying to suppress information. Okay, we'll pretend. Why
(13:01):
would Kim Kardashian be so overdressed, great point wearing like
a thong. So riots broke out, the police got involved,
hundreds of people injured, nineteen people were killed by government
agents in a shooting, and now the country has been overthrown.
The parliament was lit on fire. That's why we were
playing that bumper music. There's a big ass building, a
(13:22):
bunch of them, you know, stone columns and stuff. What
was that three four floors worth of fancy government building
looking stuff. And I mean it wasn't just like a
little fire in the courtyard. The entire thing was on fire.
It just a huge and multiple floors. It was gone, baby,
And it was a beautiful building. I mean it was
(13:43):
in Paul's Parliament. While it was lit on fire, it
looked so surreal. It was like something out of a movie.
And then we actually got to see the finance director,
the government leader in charge of the treasury or whatever,
however their government works. I won't pretend to know finance czar.
And it was him being thrown in a river and
chased and beaten by people. They stripped him down. Now
(14:05):
in the story we were reading yesterday later in the show,
they said they stripped him and chased him into the river.
Leave was he still had his drawers on and he
had some kind of helmet on. I don't know why
he was wearing a helmet, but they were whacking him
over the head, so I guess it was important that
he put that on. And that means there were at
least two talking was a helmet, No, it was a
I think it was wearing a turbine. Yeah, what a turbine?
(14:27):
It was blue, right, Well you could have a blue turbine, Billy.
And most of them is they're white thing things. Well,
they don't want to look like Iranians, I think, okay,
blame them for that. And you know what else is
amazing about this, what with them burning down the parliament
there and then chasing the Finance director into the river.
That means there's not one, but two different talking head songs.
That would have been appropriate to play his bumper music.
(14:48):
Well that's a surprise. Yeah, we could have played Burning
Down the House or Take Me to the River. I
don't know. I know it doesn't seem like a big
deal to you guys, but as the producer of the
show Billy Bass, I spent a lot of time thinking
about that. This morning you a Billy bassol It technically,
I think predates both Billy Bass and Talking Heads. I
think it was an old cover of a what was it?
(15:08):
Isn't it one of those what are they called N
word spirituals? An N word spiritual, I don't know what
that means. I know it's like it's a it's an
antiquated term to describe music that black people used to
sing while they were working in a field. Now I
don't I wouldn't call it that. I think that's appropriate, inappropriate.
But anyway, that's what they call it, an N word spiritual.
I would have gone with a different term. You know
(15:30):
what mean too old? Slave? Spiritual? How about that? I
think that's is that worse or better? No, you can
say slave right out loud. You don't have to say
the S word, but you can't say master. I can
you just did well, right, but it upsets people like
a master's degree, So I think that is worse. I
think massa is definitely. Yeah, we did away with master bedroom.
(15:53):
Yeah right, Uh what was that? What was that college
degree thing? A master's des Yeah, you can't call it that.
Whatever that is, you can't call it that. Yeah. I
saw an education pyramid yesterday and at the bottom of
the base of the pyramid, it was the big base.
It was like, you know, high school graduates, Okay, they're good,
and then the smaller piece on top of that is
(16:14):
a college graduate, then the smaller undergrad and it gets,
you know, it gets smaller and smaller as you go up,
and that's pH ds and masters. And at the very
tippy tippy top somebody once said, there's this little bitty,
microscopic sized group of people who are very most educated
(16:36):
of all and they are the non vaccinated. Yes, and
there's all kinds of more disturbing stories coming out about
the vaccine again today some leading cancer doctor. I don't
know how you get to be a leading cancer doctor,
but you know, you have everybody cancer. You spend a
lot of time trying to stop cancer. Uh, they said,
(17:00):
now the boosters. Everybody loves them boost us, I don't.
They have contributed to turbo cancer, not just regular. We
ain't even got regular under control, and now we got
the turbo cancer thanks to the vaccine. I was out
last night eating in a restaurant with some of my
neighbors and it was an Italian food any thing really
(17:23):
to speak of there. But while we were at dinner,
one person at the table just kind of casually said
I never got vaccinated. And everybody there, it wasn't a
huge group, but it was several people. It was like
a knocking over dominoes. Everyone's like, I never got vaccinated.
I never got Everyone was so proud of it. And
just then the waitress was walking up to refill our
(17:43):
drinks and she heard all of us saying that, and
she sort of rolled her eyes and looked at this
weird like we were all rubes or something. No tip, well,
no tip for her. I mean, you know, I didn't
give her one, but look, you know, if you want
me to be poisoned to death, I'm sorry, but you're
not going to get any You're not getting fifteen percent
of this mostach. I'm kidding. No, She just looked alarmed
to hear it, because, uh, the conversation at that point
(18:05):
had actually moved from are you vaccinated? To apparently I
don't know if you've heard about this, but on dating
apps now, unvaccinated men have become sort of the gold standard,
the ultimate pride, right, yeah, And they say it at
the at the can I say sperm I mean I'm okay,
(18:27):
the sperm bank right where you know they collect all
the baby batter so the ladies can come in there
and get some. Apparently you want to ask for I
forget what they called it. They got a term for it, unvaccinated, Well, unjabbed,
they're that. But it's like, uh, you know, the gold
the gold standard of man milk, you know what I mean? Well,
(18:49):
that was what this was like. And the the waitress
was so confused to hear us talking about it. But
everybody at the table, and it was a group of
people that didn't really know each other during the pandemic,
we've all met each other since then. I just couldn't
help but wonder four years ago would that conversation have happened?
Three years ago and still to this day, Like you said,
one person mentioned it, and then everybody else felt like, oh, oh,
(19:12):
I guess it's okay if I say so too, But
everybody's very careful. Should I say that? Should I just
keep it to myself? I don't know. Well, I wasn't
the only one who ate at a restaurant last night.
Donald Trump did too, and the most amazing thing happened.
Stick around, we'll tell you about it. What day is
it Wednesday? Oday? Is it Wednesday? Did I stutter? Walton
and Johnson Radio Network
