wished she'd never bought the puppy forCara Christmas morning, when she'd tied a
bow around his neck and set himunder the tree. Something nagged at the
back of her mind, but thewidening of Cara's eyes and the smile that
crossed her face quickly snuffed the inklingout. Dawn couldn't give her daughter much,

but she felt like a good momfor once. The next day.
The puppy was massive. It hadballooned over nights and towered over Dawn and
Carra, easily eight feet tall,with big paws and even bigger teeth,
