He is a Professor and the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and he lives with his wife and 5 children in the Allen House, which is the subject of his bestselling book A Haunted Love Story: The Ghosts of the Allen House. The house and his book are the basis of episodes of 5 TV shows: A Haunting, My Ghost Story, Paranormal Witness, Ghost Brothers, and Ghost Hunters.
