For our many listeners who've joined us since the last
time you graced our show with your presence, Let's let
them know a little bit about you about your past. Now,
when did you find out or how did you discover

(08:06):
that you had the gift of being psychic?

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Well, it actually happened when I was seven years old.
It was absolutely an extraordinary experience. I was playing with
a group of my friends and I had a sudden
vision in which I saw my playmates turning on me
with intent to kill with throwing rocks and sticks at me.
And ten minutes later, rob that vision became a reality,

(08:33):
very very scary, to say the least. What happened after
that was, to make a long story very short, the
children had chased me up my stairs and as I
was standing there with bleeding because they had been throwing
rocks and sticks at me. I heard this very deep

(08:54):
masculine voice, and he said to me, pick up that stick. Well,
I turned around, thinking that it was my daddy at
the door, but of course no one was there. So
I turned back to the children and I just couldn't
believe what was happening. They were screaming and hollering and
throwing these rocks and sticks at me. And suddenly the
voice again spoke to me, and he said, pick up
that stick and throw it. So I looked down at

(09:17):
my foot and there was a stick about thirteen inches long.
And as I looked at that stick, I knew that
I had to make a decision, a very big decision.
Either my friends were going to kill me or stone
me to death, or I was going to pick up
that stick and throw it, and I was going to
listen to that voice. Well I did. I picked up

(09:38):
the stick, and I threw it and hit one of
the little boys straight across the nose and broke his nose. Well,
blood went everywhere, and all of a sudden, all the
parents came out. Now before that, they weren't out so
which is very very strange. So they came and they
took the little boy off to the hospital, and my
grandmother and grandfather came down who lived next door, who

(09:59):
were taking care of me. They came and took me home. Well,
my father had said to me, now after three days
in that you're going to have to go outside again.
And I said, what, I can't go outside that either're
going to kill me. He said, no, no, it's going
to be all right. It's going to be all right,
and it was. I went outside and played Jackson with

(10:22):
one of my little girlfriends, and when was a little
boy who came over that I had broken his nose
came and asked if we would like to come and
play on his swing set, and of course he was
the only person who had a swing set. So I said, well, yeah, okay,
and awfully went. You can imagine at seven years old,
you don't think about the past. You only think about

(10:44):
what is happening right now. Well, the story there is
that it's so interesting because it was if it had
never happened, even though he had a big bandage on
his nose. Well, several weeks later, a dear friend of
my mother's came over for life, and after she left,
I ran out to the kitchen and said, Mommy, mommy,
you have to call Pauline. You have to call and

(11:06):
tell her that a big right toe really really hurts.
And my mother just looked at me and said, what
a net. If anything was wrong with Pauline, she would
have told me, because she tells me everything that is
wrong with her. And I said, no, no, no, mommy,
you have to call her. And my mother said, fine, fine,
I'll call her tomorrow morning. Well, the morning comes around

(11:27):
and the telephone rings and guess who it is, your
friend Pauline. She says, why, Oh, you won't believe what
happened to me last night after I left your house.
Oh my goodness, I went to bed and my big
right toe began to swell up and I was in
excruciating pain. I went to the pediatress this morning and

(11:49):
he had to take off the nail it was so infected.
And he said, missus Moses, it is so good that
you came in to see me today because this could
have been extremely dangerous for you. Well, Rob, that was
the beginning of my career as a medical intuitive at
the age of seven years old.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Now, is anyone else in your family intuitive like you
are in it? And do you think that there is
something hereditary here when it becomes when it comes to
being a psychic.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Absolutely I do, because it is hereditary. I have what
I call my double whammy. My father's mother's sister was
a clairvoyant nun She had predicted the assassination of President
Carno in France, and she was in the nunnery at
that time. And when she told the Mother Superior, of

(12:44):
course a mother Superior didn't believe her that anyone was
going to assassinate the president of France. Well, two weeks
later it did happen, and she had explained it was
going to be with a bouquet of flowers and a knife.
And someone walked up to the president with a bouquet
of flowers that had a knife hidden, and he stabbed
them to death. Well, several weeks after that, my great

(13:06):
aunt ran in to see the Mother Superior again and
she said, we have to leave, we have to leave.
The Nazis are coming. The Nazis are coming. They're going
to come into the nunnery. They're going to rape and
murder us and burn down the nunnery. Well, this time
Mother Superior listened to her and she said all right,
go and tell all the nuns to pack their things
that we're leaving in fifteen minutes. So they did. They

(13:28):
left in fifteen minutes, went out into the farmland out
in France, and half an hour later the Nazis marched
into the nunnery. They took it over for the rest
of the war and then burnt it to the ground.
So that was my father's side of the family and
my mother's side of the family. My grandmother, my mother's mother,

(13:52):
Anne was her name. She was extremely covoyant, and every
Friday night she was going down to this restaurant in
San Francisco and doing card readings with an old deck
of poker cards, and she was doing reading for people
and talking to people. And she'd been doing that for years,
and no one in the family knew that she was

(14:12):
doing this, So I didn't find out until much later
in life that she had been doing that. So it
definitely runs in my family.

Speaker 1 (14:23):

Worldwide tool Free and Nette Martin is our very special guests.
She's known worldwide as the Psychic Detective. Now, You've been
featured in many TV and radio shows as the psychic
detective an ed as well as a medical intuitive and
ghost detective. Your biography, Gift of the White Light talks

(14:46):
about many of the cases where you actually helped the
police and as I said before, if it wasn't for you,
the perpetrator would have gone without ever being arrested. How
long have you been doing this and can you tell
us about one of your high profile cases that you
actually worked on.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Yes, actually I've been doing this since nineteen seventy five.
Oh goodness, that's quite a few years. And the other thing,
one of the high profile ones that people may remember
and recognize was the case of the trail side killer.

(15:24):
Do you remember that one?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Not off the top of my head?

Speaker 5 (15:27):
No, Okay, it happened. He had murdered between five and
seven people. And this occurred around nineteen seventy nine, and
I was working with the Marine Sheriff's Department at that time.
I had already worked on, oh my goodness, from nineteen
seventy five to nineteen seventy nine, probably ten or fifteen

(15:48):
cases already. And Detective Sergeant Richard Keaton was my key
contact there. And he called me up one day and
he says, and then I want to take you out
to Mount tamil Pius. This is a nineteen seventy nine
and he said, we've had a murder. And he says,
I just want you to see what you can tell
me about what is going on there. So we did.

(16:09):
We drove out to Mount Camilpias, out to the area
called Land's End in San Francisco, and I started picking
up I said, oh my god, I said, there was
a murder here. It was a couple of murders here,
and he goes yes, And I said, you already have
the bodies. He goes yes, And I said, well, I
keep picking up the name Carpenter Carpenter, and the detective

(16:32):
version of King looks at me and he goes, Carpenter, Well,
is that a name or is that what he does?
And I said, I don't know. All I get is Carpenter, Carpenter.
You've just got to write that down. That's the name
that I get. Well, what they found out about two
months later was the murderer was David Carpenter.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
M h.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
Yeah. So sometimes you know, I'm very literal, Rob, and
this is one of the things I have to tell
the police agencies all the time is that. Make sure
that you write down the words, you know on your
board what I tell you, because you may think it
may be something else, which is what Detective Richard Keaton
thought it was, you know what he did, but in

(17:16):
actuality it was his name. So that has happened a
number of times, and so he learned. We worked together
for thirty five years until he retired, and so he
learned throughout those years, you know, to really take me literally.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
I also understand that you've worked with the Federal Bureau
of Investigation on some of their cases as well.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
Yes, I have. Actually this was during nineteen seventy five
through nineteen seventy six on the Patty Hurst case. Dear
Patty Hurst and s LA San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Do you find do you find there's a difference working with,
let's say, a local law enforcement agency compared to working
with the FBI and other federal agencies.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
Yes, absolutely, the FBI are more straight, safe, serious, and
more not wanting to give you any feedback. They just
kind of look at me. They don't say anything. I go, uh,
you know, yes, no, what do you think. They don't

(18:27):
give me any feed back.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
No sense of humor. Those guys huh oh.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Yeah, no, no sense of humor whatsoever. But when I'm
working with the law enforcement agencies, they're wonderful and these
guys work so hard, Yes, they do in trying to
solve the cases, you know, and they have a lot
of empathy and a lot of passions, and so they
want to know because they want to get this perpetrator.
They want to close this case, you know, and so

(18:55):
it's a whole different ballgame with them.

Speaker 1 (18:57):

guest www dot Nnette hyphen Martin dot com or Annette

dot com. That's C L O, S U R E.
The number four the alphabet U dot com. What does

(21:37):
it feel like, Anette, when you're actually inside the mind
of a killer or give for the the mind of
the victim?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
How do you?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
How do you? How do you keep your sanity?

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Well? That is a really a fascinating thing, rob because
what happens is I go into an altered state and
I'm able to move back into the past, and it's
like I step into a movie, a film of videotape.
What I begin to see is I begin to see
our victim where they were when the perpetrator came into

(22:15):
their life. Okay, where the last place where the victim
had been seen, and then I see the perpetrator coming
into the picture as to how he either picked her
up or met with her or something. Then I go
and I follow them, and it's like I'm watching what
happened where they went, and I begin to pick up

(22:37):
the conversations between both people, and that in itself is extraordinary.
When I first started doing this, it was just absolutely
amazing to me that I was able to pick up
the conversations that was going on. I thought maybe I
was a little crazy, but Detective verguar Keaton kept saying, no,
go ahead, what else do you hear? What else are
they saying? What is happening? And it just began to

(23:00):
roll out of my mouth. So when I become the victim,
I feel All's say, it's a female, I feel all
of her emotions. I feel everything that she's going through, fear,
her anxiety, or if this is a sexual act where
he's going to rape her and then murder her, I
feel all the sexual excitement as well. With the perpetrator,

(23:23):
I feel his cunniness, what's going on in his mind,
how messed up he is, how sick he is. I
also pick up the medical aspects that are going on
with the both of them, and especially the perpetrator, and
I look for that. I look to see whether he's

(23:44):
taking any kind of medication, if there are any scars,
if there's anything that will help the law enforcement agency
be able to identify this person. And so that throughout
the years there's been a great help and also another
tool for them to.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
You were the first psychic sworn in on a court case.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Can you tell us about that.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
Yes, this was the case of Susan Polk. She had
murdered her husband, who was a psychiatrist, a very well
known psychiatrist here in the northern California area in two
thousand and seven, and Susan was on trial for the
murder of her husband, and Susan claimed also to be

(24:28):
extremely psychic, which she is, and her lawyer contacted me
and asked me if I would come into the court
and tell the jury what I do to prove that
people are psychic and people can be a psychic detective. So,
of course I went down to the courthouse and I'm waiting.
I'm waiting, and I hear all this commotion going on

(24:52):
during the trial, and the lawyer comes running out and
she goes, oh my gosh, I don't know what's going
to happen here in that because the defense attorney is
just having cat because he does not want you on
the bench. She does not want you sitting there, you know,
giving any kind of testimony. And I said okay. So
what happened was that one first day I wasn't able

(25:13):
to go on until another judge came in and this
was a man. The first judge was a female, and
this male judge said, well why not, I mean, what
can she do for this case. He's not going to
harm the case. Let this side could come in and
say something. So they did. Yeah, so I did. I
went in and I told the jury what I did

(25:37):
and some of the cases that I worked on, and
they all just sat oh. Rob. It was just absolutely
fascinating for me. I just wish that I had a
camera because their eyes were just huge and their mouths
were a little open. I mean, they were just amazed
what I was telling them because obviously they had never
heard anything like that before. So I gave my testimony,

(25:59):
and I was the first psychic to ever be able
to do that.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
You in your autobiography, Gift of the White Light. You
predicted a very famous singer's death that has explained. I
was wondering if you could tell us the story prior
to the death and how you felt when the death
actually happened.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Yes, this was a prediction about John Denver, a very
very famous person as we all know. And I actually
I was back in Aston, Colorado with I At that time.
I was dating Buzz Aldrin, the astronauts that went to
the Moon, and Buzz says to me, how would you

(26:49):
like to meet John Denver? And I went, oh, my gosh, yes,
I would love to meet John Denver. He says, good,
because we're going to have breakfast with him. I said, okay.
So off we had breakfast and we sat down and
I got this next to John and we're talking way
and he turns to me and he goes an ed,
you know, I really like to have a reading from you.

(27:09):
I said, oh, wonderful, Well when would you like to
do that? And he goes, well, how about right after breakfast?
I said, terrific. Okay, So we jump in a car
and we're driving. I thought we were going to go
to his house, but instead he pulls up to this
house and he says, we're going over to my very
best friend's home and to do the reading. I said, well, terrific.
So we walk up the stairs. The front door opens,

(27:32):
and who is standing there but my ex husband's first cousin,
Edgar Boyles, and Edgar says hello, and ed how are you.
Oh my gosh, that was a surprise. So we went
in and we sat down in Ed's living room area

(27:56):
and I did an hour reading for John. And I
told John all about some music that he was riding,
and he goes, yes, that's true. Yes I'm doing this,
I'm doing that. He wanted to know about his home,
if he was going to get his house back, because
at that time he was in a divorce with Annie,
and I said, yes, you will get the house back.
And he also wanted to know if he was going

(28:17):
to get almost full custody of his daughter, who he
loved dearly, and I said, yes you will. You will
get those two things. And he goes okay, and so well, Annette,
why don't you just tell me what you see, you know?
And so I closed my eyes again, and oh my gosh,
I saw this small airplane and I said, oh, John,
I see you in this small airplane. This airplane looks different.

(28:40):
I'm inside the airplane and it looks very very different
to me, not like a normal airplane. And he goes, oh,
he says, I love to fly. And I said, well,
you are definitely in this airplane. And I see you flying,
and you're flying over the ocean, and I'm watching this
airplane and rob all of a sudden, I see the
airplane going down and down and down closer to the ocean,

(29:03):
and then everything went black. And I told John this
and he did not respond. He did not respond. He
said nothing, and he goes, well, okay, well, thank you
so much, you're terrific, You're wonderful, and so forth and
so on. Well we left and I never saw him again.

(29:26):
And then when I got the news fifteen years later
that he was in this new type of airplane that
he had just purchased and he was out testing it
and he was out over in the Pacific Ocean near
Pacific Grove in California, and the plane went into the
ocean and he died. I was absolutely stunned.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
How do you cope with looking into somebody, somebody who
asked you to sit down do a reading, and you
see misery, you see pain, you see death, How do
you cope with that? And do you always tell the
person on the other side of the table asking you
these questions what you see?

Speaker 5 (30:10):
Yes, I do. And it's interesting because the information will
come in a very loving way and the way it
is said to them and my you know, I feel
sometimes is very sad or shocked or whatever. But I'm

(30:31):
able to handle it and cope with it because I
know that that is that person's karma, that that is
what it is that they.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Have to go through, go through for what reason they.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
Need to go through, whatever their karma. What all of
us have karma that we have to deal with, dealing
with our soul and having to go through different lifetimes,
which I believe we do were called reincarnation, that we
need to learn and we need to grow, and so
there are different things that we all have to go

(31:08):
through to learn. And what I'm finding in rob the
more years I mean, I've been doing this for over
forty years, is that the more things that we have
to go through, and if we learn from it, then
we don't have to go through that again.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Do you think or do you believe in your heart
of hearts that when somebody meets you and they ask
for a reading, that this is part of their destiny,
this is part of their path.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Yes, I do.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
So would you look at yourself as a guide, Oh?

Speaker 5 (31:48):
Absolutely. And you know, what I call myself is a mirror.
And what I do is I mirror back to people
what is there, because I feel that we really know
everything about ours and we know our past and we
know our future, but we don't have the capability of
always looking at that, and so I'm just kind of

(32:09):
that mirror to mirror back to someone what is going
on with them. After I tell someone say that they're
in a psychological trauma, and I see that, you know,
all they tell me is their first name. That's all
I get from them. And I am telling them what

(32:30):
they're going through, and they'll just sit there, you know,
and just look at me, sometimes in shock. Sometimes they'll say,
how did you know that? Go? You know, you came
to see me, right, because I'm a psychic. But because
everything is there, it's contained within us, and it's within
our oric field, which is the electromagnetic field around the body.

(32:55):
And I am picking up all of that information and
then I'm able to mirror it back to them to
give them solutions is how to figure this out, how
to see what it is they're doing, How can they
make their life better?

Speaker 1 (33:08):
How can they You know, it sounds like you're a
human computer because the way you just explained it as
you were talking and when you said electromagnetic field is
where all the data is kept, I saw a a
portable hard drive and you mirror. So what you do
is you take the data from the electric magnetic field

(33:29):
and relate it to the person and then using their
own information as well as your ability to pull information
out of the the greater database, for lack of better words,
you're able to.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Help them exactly. Yeah, that's a good analogy. I definitely
that is a very good analogy. Yes, And I mean
I have thousands and thousands of letters and emails from
people telling me how much I've helped them.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
In your opinion, what is the best way for people
listening tonight, I mean besides calling you up for a
private reading. If they go to a psychic fair, or
if they are contemplating on seeking psychic assistance for a
problem they may be having in their life, how should

(34:25):
they know who to go to and who not to
go to?

Speaker 5 (34:30):
That is a very good question, especially if they're going
to a psychic fair. That is very, very difficult. But
I do feel that the best thing to do is
to go with your own intuition as to whether there
is a If you're going to a psychic fair, Let's say,
and there's a long line of people at one particular

(34:50):
booth with their psychic is doing readings, You're going to
know that, Aha, this person must know something, they must
have a good feeling. So I'm going to stand in
this line. If you go by and see people who
don't have anyone sitting there, I would say stay away
from them.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Trust your gut feeling, trust your own intuition.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yes, over the years, over the years in NETT, have
you seen a change in the type of questions you're
being asked? Are they still love money job or are
they turning more spiritual?

Speaker 5 (35:24):
Oh? Definitely turning more spiritual. Also, the very first question
that the majority of my clients ask me, the number
one is tell me about my health. Really, because they
know that I'm a medical intuitive, Tell me about my health,
that's number one. Then they want to know about their spirituality,
They want to know about their jobs, they want to

(35:46):
know about their family, their children, their husbands, their mothers,
their fathers.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Annette, you and I have to take our final break
for this hour Police Stand Buyers Nation. Anette Martin is
our special guest. Www dot hyphen Martian Martin dot com
dot Martian Martin dot com. I know she's out of

the alphabet U dot com. We'll be back on the

Speaker 2 (37:39):
In the future.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
Thank you so much, Rob for having me on. It
was just a delight.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
And Annett, I was wondering if you might be able
to peer into the future and tell us what's going
to happen with the catastrophe that's going on in the
Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
Oh my goodness, I think it's going to drag on
and on and on. It's so sad, such a tragedy, really, And.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
When people come to see you and seek your assistance
in their lives, do they do they know that in
order for their lives to be reconciled in a positive manner,
that they really have to follow the guidance that you're
going to be giving them, even if it goes against

(38:24):
what they really believe.

Speaker 5 (38:27):
Yes, I do. I do believe that they do follow
because I get all this feedback from my clients, and
so I know that they have listened and they've paid
attention and they're really working on it. And they're so
sweet because they will write and tell me I'm doing
everything you said and everything's squirking out.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Isn't that wonderful? It is December twenty first, twenty twelve.
What's your take on it?

Speaker 5 (38:56):
December twenty first, twenty twelve. Yeah, my goodness. Well, you know,
I think what is going on. I think twenty twelve
is really going to be a very good year because
we're getting all ready for it. We're beginning to open
up and people are becoming more aware of themselves and
more aware of their spirituality and knowing this and paying

(39:19):
attention to other energies that are out there, such as
ghosts and residual hauntings as well. So I feel that
we're growing, and for me it is extremely exciting. It
is not negative. I do not see twenty twelve us
the world ending. Definitely, definitely not. I see it as
a new beginning.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
You mentioned ghosts. You why is the people think or
believe ghosts can only be seen at night? This is
never This has never made sense to me. I was
wondering maybe as a person who deals with this a lot,
you might be able to shed some light onto the topic.

Speaker 5 (40:00):
Right, Okay, ghosts are They're there all the time. Okay,
it doesn't matter. And I have talked to, oh, my gosh,
probably one hundred ghosts in my lifetime, and they are there.
And these television people who go out there, they say, oh,
we have to turn off all the lights that have
to be in the darks. And then they fall down
and they run into chairs and they hear these little

(40:21):
strange noises and run out the door. Of course, my god,
what are they doing. It's crazy. Ghosts are there and
there are different reasons. It's a consciousness and the ghost
may have died because it either was murdered or it
died a death from a disease of some kind. They

(40:44):
could be very confused. They could be also angry. They
don't want to go into the lights. They're afraid they're
going to run either into their murderer. I have one
ghost who's afraid of that atitude.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Oh jeez, and Ed, I hate to do this, but
