Well, welcome to the show. And tell us a little
bit about yourself.

Well, I've been seeing spirits and things since I was
about five years old, and I have had a very
interesting life, full of some of what you call the
paranormal and just little oddities along the way. But I
do lots and lots of work helping people. Sometimes it's
(06:41):
as a psychic, sometimes it's as a spiritual helper or healer,
and I do a lot of things. Back in the day,
we would call it remote viewing. I did a lot
of things over the last well since nineteen eighty eight.
You know, it's been a dare to.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
So you've been doing this for quite some time.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Now, Yes, sir, What brought you?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
What brought you into doing what you're doing today.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Well, I've always had a love of helping people, and
when I was a little kid, I would see things,
I would see spirits. I would talk to my mother
about it, and of course she was pretty terrified and
told me, oh, just tell people you saw it in
a dream, honey, Never tell me you saw it in
your mind. So I grew up knowing I was different,
(07:34):
but I had to hide it. As I got older
in my twenties, I had just a huge downpouring of
things coming at me and I had to work through
that basically by myself. And I have a very strong
faith in God, so you know that got me through it.
But it was actually pretty rough because I would be
(07:57):
in like three worlds at one time and I didn't
understand why. But a little at a time I got
my bearings and I had to sit and think one time,
what will I do? And at one time I thought
I was going to be a nurse, but I wound
up being in many different careers. I was in police
(08:20):
work about twelve years, and it was always in some
kind of a helping field. Well, it started out where
I would help one person and they'd tell people, Hey,
go and see Clarice. Maybe she can see something to
help you, give you a little guidance.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
And from that date, Ops, Clarice is frozen up on us. Craig, Clarice,
are you there, Matt, looks like we've got a frozen screen.
Oh there she is.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Okay, Well, we had a little bit of a glitch
there we did we did? You know, California is having
all these nice little power issues, so who knows what
we're going to have?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Who knows? Who knows? But you know you're here. That's
the main thing. Now, you were in police work. What
type of police work were you in?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Well, it was a Santa Fe special agent for a while.
Then I worked as a deputy sheriff one and two
for Tillarry County. Then I worked in Butte County as
a jailer. I did a lot of different things.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Did you find that your gifts were an asset to
you as being a police officer? You'd get that gut
feeling or yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Sir, absolutely when I would do dispatch and they would
Let's say, if somebody called in that there's a little
boy who's lost, and I would ask him does he
have on? Is he about four years old and wearing
a red and blue striped shirt? And I could tell
them where to find him. It's just, you know, sometimes
(09:59):
you're really on and other days you're just your normal self,
or at least back in those days I was. But
when you start working with these gifts every day, you
become a lot more fine tuned Now.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I would imagine that no matter where you are, no
matter what you're doing, the spirits have the ability to
contact you. How do you turn them off? How do
you say, hey, this is my time, guys.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Well, what I do is I remember that I have dominion,
I have free will, and I'm happy to help to
work with them. But if I'm sick, I tell them
absolutely not. You know, I've had to, as a matter
of fact, get pretty blunt with pretty pushy spirits, and
(10:51):
yet they would come back later and I do what
I call dictation, where I would write down what I'm
hearing that they're telling me, and then usually a week
or two would pass by and I would know who
the message is for and give it to them. Of course,
that was not for any charge. That was just doing
something to help people.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
How do these spirits know how to contact you?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Well, they have a pretty good easy way to do it.
If I'm in the kitchen cooking spaghetti, literally, I had
a kid run smack into me and demand that I
type for him. He was making gestures to type, and
I said, no, I can't do that. I'm cooking. I'm cooking.
Come back in two hours, And so he did it.
(11:42):
Was a spirit of a boy about fifteen years old
who had passed away from cancer, and he wanted to
give his mother a message. So I wrote everything down,
including the part about tell Michael I'm sorry I missed him.
He was in Italy when I passed away. So it's
so strange how these things happen, the connections. They know
(12:06):
where I'm going before I go there. This young boy said,
just give this to my mother. I said, okay, I
don't know your mother. Well you're going to see her, okay.
So I went to a tea party in well View, Washington,
and just a friend of mine says, I was at
(12:27):
a bookstore. Hey, let's go have tea. We have tea.
We're sitting there and another lady joins us and she
was very sad. And my friend says, well, this is
my friend Clarice, the psychic. Okay. When they say the psychic,
(12:47):
I'm either on duty or half of them are scared
of me. So anyway, the lady was quite receptive, and
I told her that I might have a message for her.
I'm not sure, but if she would please read. I
had like three legal sized pages and I handed it
(13:08):
to her and she just started crying, Oh boy, that
was her son, and described a little toy he played
with all the time, how he had wanted to say
goodbye to her, a lot of wonderful, heartwarming things. And
of course the sad part for me was that she
thought I did it for money. Oh you must have

heard about my son, you know, And I said no,
went away. My friend told her that absolutely I did
not know her or her story. So sometimes you're trying
to do the right thing and maybe it scares people.
I'm not sure, but I always try to give with
(13:49):
a loving heart and an open hand, and what they
do with that message is literally up to them.

What is it like when somebody is asking you to
communicate with someone on the other side, and that person
on the other side wants nothing to do with this person.
That's happened.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
That's a perfect question. Perfect Well, what happens is I
have to be a very gentle hand in the situation
because usually it's a pretty highly charged situation when someone
wants to speak to the dearly departed. Okay, and I
(16:51):
tell them at the very beginning, this is all about
free will for the spirit as well as for you
or for me. And if they choose not to talk,
if they do not want to give you a message,
then they have the right to do that. Yeah, oh yeah,
(17:14):
they have the free will. Most of the time. I've
only had like one time where an elderly lady wanted
to talk to her mother and her mother would not
talk to her because she did not leave her picture
in the hallway. And that was that. Wow, there's no
(17:37):
telling her today. Come on now, let's talk. Oh no, See,
they have a life, a living presence, and they make
themselves known. So I just closed out the session and
I told the lady I'm very sorry and she says, oh, no,
that was mom. Wow, I had taken that photo down.

I said, maybe you should put it back up. She
wants to be remembered.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
You seem like a very compassionate person. Do you have
any children?
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Okay. Why I was asking that is because as a
compassionate person that I that I believe you to be.
After talking to you just for this little short time.
In your work in law enforcement and the work that
you do, I would imagine it's very hard for you
when a parent comes to you to communicate the other
(18:36):
side to a child that they've lost.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Oh, it's extremely difficult. I do extra prayers of protection
before I ever start any sessions because I am so tenderhearted,
and I have to give myself a command to come
back to my point of origin at the end of
(18:59):
the session, because when I go into a trance, I
just step across into another world and I need to
be able to find my way home, so to speak. Sure,
one of the most difficult ones I ever did was
a lady came in and she acted like she wanted
(19:19):
tarot reading, and she says, tell me who's pooky. And
I put my cards down and I did my little
three breaths to get ready, and I said, oh, that's
a beautiful little girl with very curly hair, and she's
(19:41):
holding a teddy bear at the entrance of heaven. Well,
the lady had put a brown teddy bear in with
her little daughter who had died of leukemia. Oh Jesus,
and so she knew that I was speaking of the
correct child. And the little girl basically said to her Mommy,
(20:09):
don't worry about me. I have my angel, but I'm
worried about you. Mommy, you cry all day. And you know,
it touched that lady's heart because when I was doing
this trance work the room, she told me later, I
didn't see it because I'm doing my work. She said,
(20:31):
the room lit up with like a gold color and
it smelled like roses. That little girl has such a
powerful love for her mother, and she really wanted the
mother to see that she had her teddy bear. Nobody
in the world knew that she put that in that casket.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
How do you deal with the emotional aspect that that
you must feel not only when talking or being the
conduit between a mother and a child, or a father
and a child, but a child or growing up who
is still on this side who lost a parent, and
(21:16):
the parent is on the other side. How do you
keep it all together?
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Well, the person I'm working with has to come first.
They're my focus, and I do everything I can to
maintain my own calm. I'll call it my calm, so
that I can be a very accurate medium and give
(21:44):
the messages clearly. Sometimes I will see things like I
will see a man in his beautiful checkered shirt and
he's fishing, having a great time. There's so many different issues,
but I have to keep my own energy under control,
and that has taken years of learning how to be
(22:06):
grounded and focused to be able to do it, because
sometimes it's very sad when people like I did what
I used to call group readings before the fire, the
camp welfire burned down my business and our home. But
before that, at the shop, I would do groups and
(22:27):
people could come in for twenty bucks, and if they
had a loved one who wanted to give them a message,
just gave them a message, kind of as a community service. Well, anyway,
when you're in that and people are obviously crying and upset,
(22:47):
but they're crying sometimes because they're joyful, because I could
describe to a t you know, some of the people
who had passed on be just a color. Sometimes it's
just words. But whatever I got, I would give to them.
But the room is full. It is saturated with love,
(23:11):
saturated with that desire to not only hear and get
love from the spirits, but to give it. And a
lot of times people don't have the opportunity to just
give love to someone who has passed away. And I
tried to be like a bridge for that.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Right. Has there ever been a time when you've been
doing your work as a clairvoyant that there has actually
been a manifestation of a person the person that you're
communicating with on the other side.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah, I have seen a few, a few, one very
very clear guy holding his railroad watch and very stern
and giving me the look like who are you talking
to me? Well, obviously he was always in charge, and
I found all that stuff later. But sometimes it can
(24:09):
be to the point it looks like a shadow you
cannot see through.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah, what feedback do you get from the people after
you've been the bridge? How has this communication changed their life?
Has it been closure? Has it been the proof that
they've been seeking that they are on the other side
(24:39):
and that they are doing well or or is it
a plethora of different emotions that goes through.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
It's many different things. One of the things is a
complete a relief that there is life after death. That
they're just so relieved because they understand, and that the
loved one is still viable. On a different level, you know,
(25:06):
it's all energy and we have transformed into a new energy,
but we are still us.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
We're still less. How did you transcend or how did
you go from psychic to clairvoyant?
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Well, I've always seen things as a little girl, and
I could tell a man who's talked to me on
the phone doing phone readings. He'll say, well, he can't
find this and that, And I say, well, you're a secretary.
Who's standing behind you. The red headed lady who is
quite chubby, She just went through your desk drawer on
(25:47):
the bottom she has your stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
I can see a lot of things. And sometimes I'll
see it, sometimes I hear it, or I'll feel it,
but a lot of the time visual.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
So you're Claire sentient as well as.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yes, Yeah, but I'm able to kind of know without knowing.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, was anyone else in your family psychic or gifted
like you are. Is there any lineage?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I believe my mother was, but she was very, very
afraid of it. My dad's mother was well in those days,
she was out helping birth the babies, but she always
knew when they were going to be having the baby.
She was quite an intuitive, but in those days they
(26:44):
just thought she had a lot of womanly wise womanly wise.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah, well, I don't know a lady that I have
ever met that doesn't have the womanly wisely wise. You
also do terro yes, how did you get into the
tyro reading? Was this part of the transformation or the
learning skills that you have or is this something that
(27:12):
you decided that I'm going to I'm just going to
offer this to my clients as another way of helping them.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, I got my first to row Deck in San
Francisco in nineteen seventy seven, and I am self taught
a little at a time. I would help one person
to do a little reading, or they'd call me and
ask me a question and I'd tell them what I thought.
But you know, I'm very careful. I tell people I
(27:43):
don't decide anything for you. I will show you the
path and another path. But your decision is yours, not mine.
I want to empower people, Yes, I want to empower
them to do their own living to you know, it's
(28:03):
your karma, you drive it. You know that's right. But anyway,
I started doing to Row for the public in nineteen
eighty eight, so I've been doing readings for a long time.

Are there are there are the questions that that you're asked.
Are they generally the same ones that everyone asks or
do you find that there is quite a variance of
questions that you're asked.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Oh, everybody's different. Everybody's different. Now, once in a while
we will have like the repeat of you know, why
am I alone? Why can't I find my man? Sometimes
it'll be well, uh, business is slow, what can I
do to fix it? Things like that. Sometimes people will
(28:55):
call me about buying a building, a commercial building, and
after he talks a few minutes, I'll tell him the
plumbing is no good, there's a concrete floor. You're going
to have to bust the whole thing out. The east
wall is caving in because there's been a flood. Now
I'm here in that building's in Missouri, So you know,
(29:18):
I answer lots of different kinds of questions. But I
think people who are lonely, definitely, for whatever reason, they
are drawn to get spiritual advice. Sometimes they just want
to come where they are completely welcome, where they are
(29:39):
in a warm, safe environment to just be. Sometimes people
will walk into my place, my office, and they'll just
sit in the chair and start crying. And I asked
a couple of it first. You know, it was a
little odd, but I thought, well, they had a bad day.
But the feeling in there is so full of love
(30:02):
and support that people cry because they're not used to it.

So you give them comfort, you give them safety, you
get them hope. Right, looks like we froze up again

and we're talking about Clarice being a psychic, a clairvoyant,
and a tarot reader. Where does a medium fit in
in all of this? You know, is the is a
medium the same as a clairvoyant.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Well, a clairvoyant can see, uh, so they can see spirit. Sure,
it depends on the clairvoyant. Of course. Everybody has different
gifts and they use them in different ways. Mine started
with doing readings, just regular readings and sometimes to row readings,
(33:07):
and I would see standing behind the person, a tall
man or a very short, little old lady. I would
feel them come into the room and I would discuss
what I was seeing, and that's how it all started.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Is it hard for people who may have the feeling
that they're gifted to develop their gifts.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Well, it's hard if they have been taught a lot
of fear. And it's also hard if they have people
around them that are the naysayers that, oh, you're crazy,
that can't happen. You know, you couldn't really see what
that other lady saw, you know, I mean there's always
going to be people if they can't do it, they
(33:57):
don't understand it, they're afraid it.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Is there as much negativity towards the psychic profession as
there was years ago, or are people becoming more accepting
that there just may be something on the other side
of this existence that we don't know about? And why
is it then people who follow one sort of religious
(34:28):
philosophy or another are dead against psychics. It makes no
sense to me.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Well, first off, I've met a few of those, and
you know, I just tell them that I am who
I am, and God gives me everything I see and
everything I'm all about. You know, I'm firmly entrenched to
my own belief. But I think it's hard sometimes for
(34:57):
people to grasp that they're there is more than one dimension,
that there's one kind of life, that there's many kinds
of lives, and they're kind of lost in the middle.
They don't know what to do. A lot of the
people trying to develop their own abilities are caught up
(35:17):
in this negative web when it comes to religion. I
will tell you I have had all walks of life
come through my door, and some of them sneak in,
and many of them have been up in their religious duties.
(35:40):
They are you know, yeah, all religions have come to me.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Is there a common thread when it comes to the
type of person that comes to you from what you
do or is it all over the spectrum?
Speaker 1 (35:57):
It's really everybody is different and they all have a
different need, a different pain, a different situation. Some people
come to me because they believe that someone, all joking aside,
has put some kind of a curse on them. I
have had to do clean up, big time clean up
(36:21):
about helping my clients who have been told that they
have been hext cursed by somebody, and they have been
told that sometimes by a psychic, and they're scared to death.
So I've had to undo take that stuff off of
them through my own prayers and my own work of
helping to cleanse their aura, cleanse their body, their mind,
(36:44):
their spirit, to teach them how they can do their
prayers and the cleansing there is as you I'm sure
I would know. There's kind of a racket. Every once
in a while there are psychics or so called medicine men,
so called shaman who will take advantage. And when they do,
(37:06):
of course it upsets me because I can honestly say
that I do everything in a good heart, in a
good way, according to God's will, the best I can.
But I cannot say that for other psychics, and that's
why I do not recommend other psychics.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
So how can a listener decide or find out who
is a good psychic and who is a bad psychic?
Who to call, who to listen to?
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Well, first off, I think we need to learn how
to trust our own heart, to get out of our head,
to of course, use common sense. First, do your prayers,
and then when you are calling these people, listen with
your heart. Do they have a sincere desire to help you?
(38:07):
Number one? Or are they just telling you very quickly
their menu and their prices.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
What do you think about these celebrity psychics that are
on various TV channels? You know, I Montel Williams used
to promote Sylvia Brown, you know, until she was kind
of hoodwinked. R What was she charging Craig seven hundred
(38:39):
dollars for a twenty minute reading?
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Yeah, I think you got around twenty one an hour.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
My lord, my lord. Besides the you know, besides the
amount of money that these people charge, how else can
what are some of the red flags.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Well, the red flags would be if the first thing
they tell you is into my office, I see that
you have a curse on you. Red flag giant, because
they have instantly made that person not only feel kind
of sick, but they have done kind of a It's
like putting a hand grenade in the person's aura that
(39:20):
will explode and they'll have to go back to them.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
So they're creating an ongoing business at the expensive fear. Fear.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Yes, yes, I have a lot of Hispanic customers, and
they have had just a myriad of problems here and there.
But one of the big things is that sometimes people
use black magic and they do things against some of
their loved ones. So what I do is basically pray

and ask what's the antidote. I'm all about what is
the antidote for that, not just to try to get
into the whole history or any of that stuff, because
I don't want to open that Pandora's box. I'll ask
God what is the antidote, and I will give it
to them, or I'll tell them what they can do

to help themselves. Now, if they're too far gone with
fear and they're too upset, then I do literally hands
on healing, you know, sure, and I'll work with them
for Usually it takes about an hour, sometimes longer to
finally feel that release where whatever this is, let's go

to series, how real in your opinion, based on your

expertise of doing what you've been doing for such a
long time, our television shows like Poltergeist or Amityville, are
they more fiction than fact or fact than fiction?
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Well, I think that it's a little both, yes, but
I definitely know that some of this stuff is way real.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Seeing real. What was like the first time you saw
a demon?
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Well, I was very startled. I didn't know what it was,
and it was similar to the first time I saw
a gray and the feeling is very cold. You understand
(46:28):
that there's something otherworldly there with you, and sometimes you
just have to focus your mind. Now, everybody has a
different religion, but go where you believe, you know, go
into your own heart on what you believe and hold
that very close, because a lot of times, if you
do that, then these things have to leave. But if
(46:52):
you stay totally in fear, then they can harass you
a lot. I've had clients that had they were believing
that they were abducted, and they'd have the punctures that
look like the red triangle all over their arms and
their legs. And there's been so many different kinds of
spiritual harassment over the centuries that people get afraid to

talk about it. They're afraid to reveal what has happened
to them, And so I like to remind people that, hey,
you know, it can happen to anyone and ask for help.

These red triangles, were they actually caused by the ets
or were they caused by demons pretending to be ets.

Well, I believe that these were extraterrestrial. These particular ones
I'm talking about, it was like someone took a punch
of some sort and it went almost through to the bone.
It was pretty difficult to even look at it. But
I think that demons do pretend. It's like they try

to do an illusion on the person's mind to make
them believe that they're extraterrestrial when they are not. I
feel like there has been a big tear in the
fabric between our dimensions and lots of different kinds of entities,
and you could call them demons anyway. They are very
(48:23):
bad and they have come through in our world. So
we need to be aware, you know, to kind of
be more aware of your environment. If you see something
that is not normal, tell yourself, hey, wait a second,
what is that. Some people don't see it because they
don't want to see it. If they allow themselves to
(48:45):
know and to see something that would be like you know,
a demonic thing, then it will wreck their whole life.
They just can't let themselves see it.

So how can someone protect it themselves against these type
of invaders from other dimensions or outer space or spiritual warriors.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
Well, I believe we all have within us a soul
that gives we were born with our protection on board,
and we need to remember that we have a soul.
We are a soul living a human existence and to
do our practices. Whatever your religion is, use it because
(49:31):
as the more you use it, the better it gets
and the stronger your force field gets. Actually, sometimes you
have to call in an expert. Many times I would
refer people to It depends on what they believe in,
of course, but sometimes Native American medicine men, sometimes it
would be go to the Catholic priest for the exorcisms.

If somebody's really having a big problem with their mindbviously
would refer them to their doctor, to their family, and
then to a psychiatrist. I don't say, oh, here, let
me do all that.

No, No, what is the sign for you that the
person has issues that are far beyond your capabilities to
solve as a psychic, that medical intervention is actually required.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Oh well, Sometimes people are possessed to the point that
their entire eye is black, black, smooth, shiny, like they
are possessed. Okay, sometimes is that? Sometimes it is because

their energies are so frequented with they can't hold a thought,
they can't hold things together, they can't speak correctly. But
a lot just because they are in severe pain.

I don't try to be I would imagine we're talking
about spiritual pain as well as mental and physical pain
and anguish.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
Yes, exactly. Yeah. I know one lady who believed that
there was a demon working to take her nose off
her face and a little at a time that nose
started coming off her face. I think things happen that
we cannot explain logically, and that science can help. I

believe that sometimes it's a cry for help, obviously, that
they need help. Maybe they are afraid to talk to
their family because they think they're crazy. Well, sometimes they
just need help, and I tell them to go see
a counselor I try to get in between. Okay, the
doctor and the psychiatrist. Maybe you need to see a

slur you know about mental health because you're too stressed out,
is what I usually would say.

Do you find that this gives you? Does the person
reject you as a professional psychic because you've suggested that
they go see seek medical or mental lead?
Speaker 1 (52:24):
Actually, no, they come back to me. They come back
for readings. But if they're in a bad space, I
don't just do a reading and lay down the cards
just to say, okay, you know, give me the fifty bucks.
I don't do that. If I feel that a person
is too sick to upset in any way not in
good shape, I do not do a reading. So they

have to be pretty balanced by the time they get
back to me.

So how long does a reading.

Take Sometimes we can do one for like twenty minutes.

Well, welcome to the show. And tell us a little
bit about yourself.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, I've been seeing spirits and things since I was
about five years old, and I have had a very
interesting life, full of some of what you call the
paranormal and just little oddities along the way. But I
do lots and lots of work helping people. Sometimes it's
(06:41):
as a psychic, sometimes it's as a spiritual helper or healer,
and I do a lot of things. Back in the day,
we would call it remote viewing. I did a lot
of things over the last well since nineteen eighty eight.
You know, it's been a dare to.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
So you've been doing this for quite some time.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Now, Yes, sir, What brought you?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
What brought you into doing what you're doing today.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Well, I've always had a love of helping people, and
when I was a little kid, I would see things,
I would see spirits. I would talk to my mother
about it, and of course she was pretty terrified and
told me, oh, just tell people you saw it in
a dream, honey, Never tell me you saw it in
your mind. So I grew up knowing I was different,
(07:34):
but I had to hide it. As I got older
in my twenties, I had just a huge downpouring of
things coming at me and I had to work through
that basically by myself. And I have a very strong
faith in God, so you know that got me through it.
But it was actually pretty rough because I would be
(07:57):
in like three worlds at one time and I didn't
understand why. But a little at a time I got
my bearings and I had to sit and think one time,
what will I do? And at one time I thought
I was going to be a nurse, but I wound
up being in many different careers. I was in police
(08:20):
work about twelve years, and it was always in some
kind of a helping field. Well, it started out where
I would help one person and they'd tell people, Hey,
go and see Clarice. Maybe she can see something to
help you, give you a little guidance.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
And from that date, Ops, Clarice is frozen up on us. Craig, Clarice,
are you there, Matt, looks like we've got a frozen screen.
Oh there she is.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Okay, Well, we had a little bit of a glitch
there we did we did? You know, California is having
all these nice little power issues, so who knows what
we're going to have?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Who knows? Who knows? But you know you're here. That's
the main thing. Now, you were in police work. What
type of police work were you in?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Well, it was a Santa Fe special agent for a while.
Then I worked as a deputy sheriff one and two
for Tillarry County. Then I worked in Butte County as
a jailer. I did a lot of different things.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Did you find that your gifts were an asset to
you as being a police officer? You'd get that gut
feeling or yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Sir, absolutely when I would do dispatch and they would
Let's say, if somebody called in that there's a little
boy who's lost, and I would ask him does he
have on? Is he about four years old and wearing
a red and blue striped shirt? And I could tell
them where to find him. It's just, you know, sometimes
(09:59):
you're really on and other days you're just your normal self,
or at least back in those days I was. But
when you start working with these gifts every day, you
become a lot more fine tuned Now.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I would imagine that no matter where you are, no
matter what you're doing, the spirits have the ability to
contact you. How do you turn them off? How do
you say, hey, this is my time, guys.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Well, what I do is I remember that I have dominion,
I have free will, and I'm happy to help to
work with them. But if I'm sick, I tell them
absolutely not. You know, I've had to, as a matter
of fact, get pretty blunt with pretty pushy spirits, and
(10:51):
yet they would come back later and I do what
I call dictation, where I would write down what I'm
hearing that they're telling me, and then usually a week
or two would pass by and I would know who
the message is for and give it to them. Of course,
that was not for any charge. That was just doing
something to help people.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
How do these spirits know how to contact you?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Well, they have a pretty good easy way to do it.
If I'm in the kitchen cooking spaghetti, literally, I had
a kid run smack into me and demand that I
type for him. He was making gestures to type, and
I said, no, I can't do that. I'm cooking. I'm cooking.
Come back in two hours, And so he did it.
(11:42):
Was a spirit of a boy about fifteen years old
who had passed away from cancer, and he wanted to
give his mother a message. So I wrote everything down,
including the part about tell Michael I'm sorry I missed him.
He was in Italy when I passed away. So it's
so strange how these things happen, the connections. They know
(12:06):
where I'm going before I go there. This young boy said,
just give this to my mother. I said, okay, I
don't know your mother. Well you're going to see her, okay.
So I went to a tea party in well View, Washington,
and just a friend of mine says, I was at
(12:27):
a bookstore. Hey, let's go have tea. We have tea.
We're sitting there and another lady joins us and she
was very sad. And my friend says, well, this is
my friend Clarice, the psychic. Okay. When they say the psychic,
(12:47):
I'm either on duty or half of them are scared
of me. So anyway, the lady was quite receptive, and
I told her that I might have a message for her.
I'm not sure, but if she would please read. I
had like three legal sized pages and I handed it
(13:08):
to her and she just started crying, Oh boy, that
was her son, and described a little toy he played
with all the time, how he had wanted to say
goodbye to her, a lot of wonderful, heartwarming things. And
of course the sad part for me was that she
thought I did it for money. Oh you must have
(13:28):
heard about my son, you know, And I said no,
went away. My friend told her that absolutely I did
not know her or her story. So sometimes you're trying
to do the right thing and maybe it scares people.
I'm not sure, but I always try to give with
(13:49):
a loving heart and an open hand, and what they
do with that message is literally up to them.

You're just the messenger, You're a conduit.

That's a perfect question. Perfect Well, what happens is I
have to be a very gentle hand in the situation
because usually it's a pretty highly charged situation when someone
wants to speak to the dearly departed. Okay, and I
(16:51):
tell them at the very beginning, this is all about
free will for the spirit as well as for you
or for me. And if they choose not to talk,
if they do not want to give you a message,
then they have the right to do that. Yeah, oh yeah,

they have the free will. Most of the time. I've
only had like one time where an elderly lady wanted
to talk to her mother and her mother would not
talk to her because she did not leave her picture
in the hallway. And that was that. Wow, there's no
(17:37):
telling her today. Come on now, let's talk. Oh no, See,
they have a life, a living presence, and they make
themselves known. So I just closed out the session and
I told the lady I'm very sorry and she says, oh, no,
that was mom. Wow, I had taken that photo down.

I said, maybe you should put it back up. She
wants to be remembered.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
You seem like a very compassionate person. Do you have
any children?
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Okay. Why I was asking that is because as a
compassionate person that I that I believe you to be.
After talking to you just for this little short time.
In your work in law enforcement and the work that
you do, I would imagine it's very hard for you
when a parent comes to you to communicate the other
(18:36):
side to a child that they've lost.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Oh, it's extremely difficult. I do extra prayers of protection
before I ever start any sessions because I am so tenderhearted,
and I have to give myself a command to come
back to my point of origin at the end of
(18:59):
the session, because when I go into a trance, I
just step across into another world and I need to
be able to find my way home, so to speak. Sure,
one of the most difficult ones I ever did was
a lady came in and she acted like she wanted
(19:19):
tarot reading, and she says, tell me who's pooky. And
I put my cards down and I did my little
three breaths to get ready, and I said, oh, that's
a beautiful little girl with very curly hair, and she's
(19:41):
holding a teddy bear at the entrance of heaven. Well,
the lady had put a brown teddy bear in with
her little daughter who had died of leukemia. Oh Jesus,
and so she knew that I was speaking of the
correct child. And the little girl basically said to her Mommy,
(20:09):
don't worry about me. I have my angel, but I'm
worried about you. Mommy, you cry all day. And you know,
it touched that lady's heart because when I was doing
this trance work the room, she told me later, I
didn't see it because I'm doing my work. She said,
(20:31):
the room lit up with like a gold color and
it smelled like roses. That little girl has such a
powerful love for her mother, and she really wanted the
mother to see that she had her teddy bear. Nobody
in the world knew that she put that in that casket.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
How do you deal with the emotional aspect that that
you must feel not only when talking or being the
conduit between a mother and a child, or a father
and a child, but a child or growing up who
is still on this side who lost a parent, and
(21:16):
the parent is on the other side. How do you
keep it all together?
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Well, the person I'm working with has to come first.
They're my focus, and I do everything I can to
maintain my own calm. I'll call it my calm, so
that I can be a very accurate medium and give
(21:44):
the messages clearly. Sometimes I will see things like I
will see a man in his beautiful checkered shirt and
he's fishing, having a great time. There's so many different issues,
but I have to keep my own energy under control,
and that has taken years of learning how to be
(22:06):
grounded and focused to be able to do it, because
sometimes it's very sad when people like I did what
I used to call group readings before the fire, the
camp welfire burned down my business and our home. But
before that, at the shop, I would do groups and
(22:27):
people could come in for twenty bucks, and if they
had a loved one who wanted to give them a message,
just gave them a message, kind of as a community service. Well, anyway,
when you're in that and people are obviously crying and upset,
(22:47):
but they're crying sometimes because they're joyful, because I could
describe to a t you know, some of the people
who had passed on be just a color. Sometimes it's
just words. But whatever I got, I would give to them.
But the room is full. It is saturated with love,
(23:11):
saturated with that desire to not only hear and get
love from the spirits, but to give it. And a
lot of times people don't have the opportunity to just
give love to someone who has passed away. And I
tried to be like a bridge for that.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Right. Has there ever been a time when you've been
doing your work as a clairvoyant that there has actually
been a manifestation of a person the person that you're
communicating with on the other side.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah, I have seen a few, a few, one very
very clear guy holding his railroad watch and very stern
and giving me the look like who are you talking
to me? Well, obviously he was always in charge, and
I found all that stuff later. But sometimes it can

be to the point it looks like a shadow you
cannot see through.

Wow.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah, what feedback do you get from the people after
you've been the bridge? How has this communication changed their life?
Has it been closure? Has it been the proof that
they've been seeking that they are on the other side
(24:39):
and that they are doing well or or is it
a plethora of different emotions that goes through.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
It's many different things. One of the things is a
complete a relief that there is life after death. That
they're just so relieved because they understand, and that the
loved one is still viable. On a different level, you know,

it's all energy and we have transformed into a new energy,
but we are still us.

We're still less. How did you transcend or how did
you go from psychic to clairvoyant?
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Well, I've always seen things as a little girl, and
I could tell a man who's talked to me on
the phone doing phone readings. He'll say, well, he can't
find this and that, And I say, well, you're a secretary.
Who's standing behind you. The red headed lady who is
quite chubby, She just went through your desk drawer on

the bottom she has your stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
I can see a lot of things. And sometimes I'll
see it, sometimes I hear it, or I'll feel it,
but a lot of the time visual.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
So you're Claire sentient as well as.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yes, Yeah, but I'm able to kind of know without knowing.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, was anyone else in your family psychic or gifted
like you are. Is there any lineage?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I believe my mother was, but she was very, very
afraid of it. My dad's mother was well in those days,
she was out helping birth the babies, but she always
knew when they were going to be having the baby.
She was quite an intuitive, but in those days they
(26:44):
just thought she had a lot of womanly wise womanly wise.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah, well, I don't know a lady that I have
ever met that doesn't have the womanly wisely wise. You
also do terro yes, how did you get into the
tyro reading? Was this part of the transformation or the
learning skills that you have or is this something that
(27:12):
you decided that I'm going to I'm just going to
offer this to my clients as another way of helping them.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, I got my first to row Deck in San
Francisco in nineteen seventy seven, and I am self taught
a little at a time. I would help one person
to do a little reading, or they'd call me and
ask me a question and I'd tell them what I thought.
But you know, I'm very careful. I tell people I
(27:43):
don't decide anything for you. I will show you the
path and another path. But your decision is yours, not mine.
I want to empower people, Yes, I want to empower
them to do their own living to you know, it's
(28:03):
your karma, you drive it. You know that's right. But anyway,
I started doing to Row for the public in nineteen
eighty eight, so I've been doing readings for a long time.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Are there are there are the questions that that you're asked.
Are they generally the same ones that everyone asks or
do you find that there is quite a variance of
questions that you're asked.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Oh, everybody's different. Everybody's different. Now, once in a while
we will have like the repeat of you know, why
am I alone? Why can't I find my man? Sometimes
it'll be well, uh, business is slow, what can I
do to fix it? Things like that. Sometimes people will
(28:55):
call me about buying a building, a commercial building, and
after he talks a few minutes, I'll tell him the
plumbing is no good, there's a concrete floor. You're going
to have to bust the whole thing out. The east
wall is caving in because there's been a flood. Now
I'm here in that building's in Missouri, So you know,
(29:18):
I answer lots of different kinds of questions. But I
think people who are lonely, definitely, for whatever reason, they
are drawn to get spiritual advice. Sometimes they just want
to come where they are completely welcome, where they are
(29:39):
in a warm, safe environment to just be. Sometimes people
will walk into my place, my office, and they'll just
sit in the chair and start crying. And I asked
a couple of it first. You know, it was a
little odd, but I thought, well, they had a bad day.
But the feeling in there is so full of love
(30:02):
and support that people cry because they're not used to it.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
So you give them comfort, you give them safety, you
get them hope. Right, looks like we froze up again
over here.

and we're talking about Clarice being a psychic, a clairvoyant,
and a tarot reader. Where does a medium fit in
in all of this? You know, is the is a
medium the same as a clairvoyant.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Well, a clairvoyant can see, uh, so they can see spirit. Sure,
it depends on the clairvoyant. Of course. Everybody has different
gifts and they use them in different ways. Mine started
with doing readings, just regular readings and sometimes to row readings,
(33:07):
and I would see standing behind the person, a tall
man or a very short, little old lady. I would
feel them come into the room and I would discuss
what I was seeing, and that's how it all started.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Is it hard for people who may have the feeling
that they're gifted to develop their gifts.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Well, it's hard if they have been taught a lot
of fear. And it's also hard if they have people
around them that are the naysayers that, oh, you're crazy,
that can't happen. You know, you couldn't really see what
that other lady saw, you know, I mean there's always
going to be people if they can't do it, they
(33:57):
don't understand it, they're afraid it.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Is there as much negativity towards the psychic profession as
there was years ago, or are people becoming more accepting
that there just may be something on the other side
of this existence that we don't know about? And why
is it then people who follow one sort of religious
(34:28):
philosophy or another are dead against psychics. It makes no
sense to me.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Well, first off, I've met a few of those, and
you know, I just tell them that I am who
I am, and God gives me everything I see and
everything I'm all about. You know, I'm firmly entrenched to
my own belief. But I think it's hard sometimes for
(34:57):
people to grasp that they're there is more than one dimension,
that there's one kind of life, that there's many kinds
of lives, and they're kind of lost in the middle.
They don't know what to do. A lot of the
people trying to develop their own abilities are caught up
(35:17):
in this negative web when it comes to religion. I
will tell you I have had all walks of life
come through my door, and some of them sneak in,
and many of them have been up in their religious duties.
(35:40):
They are you know, yeah, all religions have come to me.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Is there a common thread when it comes to the
type of person that comes to you from what you
do or is it all over the spectrum?
Speaker 1 (35:57):
It's really everybody is different and they all have a
different need, a different pain, a different situation. Some people
come to me because they believe that someone, all joking aside,
has put some kind of a curse on them. I
have had to do clean up, big time clean up
(36:21):
about helping my clients who have been told that they
have been hext cursed by somebody, and they have been
told that sometimes by a psychic, and they're scared to death.
So I've had to undo take that stuff off of
them through my own prayers and my own work of
helping to cleanse their aura, cleanse their body, their mind,
(36:44):
their spirit, to teach them how they can do their
prayers and the cleansing there is as you I'm sure
I would know. There's kind of a racket. Every once
in a while there are psychics or so called medicine men,
so called shaman who will take advantage. And when they do,
(37:06):
of course it upsets me because I can honestly say
that I do everything in a good heart, in a
good way, according to God's will, the best I can.
But I cannot say that for other psychics, and that's
why I do not recommend other psychics.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
So how can a listener decide or find out who
is a good psychic and who is a bad psychic?
Who to call, who to listen to?
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Well, first off, I think we need to learn how
to trust our own heart, to get out of our head,
to of course, use common sense. First, do your prayers,
and then when you are calling these people, listen with
your heart. Do they have a sincere desire to help you?
(38:07):
Number one? Or are they just telling you very quickly
their menu and their prices.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
What do you think about these celebrity psychics that are
on various TV channels? You know, I Montel Williams used
to promote Sylvia Brown, you know, until she was kind
of hoodwinked. R What was she charging Craig seven hundred
(38:39):
dollars for a twenty minute reading?
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Yeah, I think you got around twenty one an hour.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
My lord, my lord. Besides the you know, besides the
amount of money that these people charge, how else can
what are some of the red flags.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Well, the red flags would be if the first thing
they tell you is into my office, I see that
you have a curse on you. Red flag giant, because
they have instantly made that person not only feel kind
of sick, but they have done kind of a It's
like putting a hand grenade in the person's aura that
(39:20):
will explode and they'll have to go back to them.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
So they're creating an ongoing business at the expensive fear. Fear.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Yes, yes, I have a lot of Hispanic customers, and
they have had just a myriad of problems here and there.
But one of the big things is that sometimes people
use black magic and they do things against some of
their loved ones. So what I do is basically pray
(39:53):
and ask what's the antidote. I'm all about what is
the antidote for that, not just to try to get
into the whole history or any of that stuff, because
I don't want to open that Pandora's box. I'll ask
God what is the antidote, and I will give it
to them, or I'll tell them what they can do
(40:13):
to help themselves. Now, if they're too far gone with
fear and they're too upset, then I do literally hands
on healing, you know, sure, and I'll work with them
for Usually it takes about an hour, sometimes longer to
finally feel that release where whatever this is, let's go
(40:33):
of them.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
So in that case, are you actually performing in exorcism.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Of sorts? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:43):
And in your opinion, how real are demons? Oh?
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Extremely, I've seen them really? Oh of course.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Oh yeah, I don't mean that. I'm sure you're not
talking about the demons that you saw in the back
of a police cruiser when you were on the job.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
No, no, no, those are a very special kind.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
No id they look.

Like well, I want one thing to be clear here.
You cannot go by what you think you see.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Ah.

Once upon a time I had a migraine and I
was having a terrible time with it, and I prayed
and ask God please help me with this, you know,
And I saw an angel, about six foot angel come
through the ceiling at my house and come down on
to the floor. I mean, I'm seeing that the back

part of it perfect pristine, and I had this chill
go through me, and so I said, in the name
of Jesus Christ, reveal yourself to me. It turned around
and it had red, bloody eyes. It was a demon. Yeah, yeah,
and it was scratching across the floor to come and

get me. Honest to God, this is not fiction. And
I said, Jesus helped me and it went out through
the wall and my headache was gone.

Why was this demon coming after you? You're such a nice person.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Well that's exactly why they don't want the good. And
I'm gonna say, you know, not like light workers. There's
so many different words we could use. Anyone who is
trying to really be their best light in this world
and trying to help others. It kind of makes you
a target. You're brighter and you're more visible to the

dark side when you're really active.

they're here, but I decided not to. From the Poltergeist
to series, how real in your opinion, based on your
(45:32):
expertise of doing what you've been doing for such a
long time, our television shows like Poltergeist or Amityville, are
they more fiction than fact or fact than fiction?
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Well, I think that it's a little both, yes, but
I definitely know that some of this stuff is way real.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Seeing real. What was like the first time you saw
a demon?
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Well, I was very startled. I didn't know what it was,
and it was similar to the first time I saw
a gray and the feeling is very cold. You understand
(46:28):
that there's something otherworldly there with you, and sometimes you
just have to focus your mind. Now, everybody has a
different religion, but go where you believe, you know, go
into your own heart on what you believe and hold
that very close, because a lot of times, if you
do that, then these things have to leave. But if
(46:52):
you stay totally in fear, then they can harass you
a lot. I've had clients that had they were believing
that they were abducted, and they'd have the punctures that
look like the red triangle all over their arms and
their legs. And there's been so many different kinds of
spiritual harassment over the centuries that people get afraid to
(47:17):
talk about it. They're afraid to reveal what has happened
to them, And so I like to remind people that, hey,
you know, it can happen to anyone and ask for help.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
These red triangles, were they actually caused by the ets
or were they caused by demons pretending to be ets.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Well, I believe that these were extraterrestrial. These particular ones
I'm talking about, it was like someone took a punch
of some sort and it went almost through to the bone.
It was pretty difficult to even look at it. But
I think that demons do pretend. It's like they try
(47:59):
to do an illusion on the person's mind to make
them believe that they're extraterrestrial when they are not. I
feel like there has been a big tear in the
fabric between our dimensions and lots of different kinds of entities,
and you could call them demons anyway. They are very
(48:23):
bad and they have come through in our world. So
we need to be aware, you know, to kind of
be more aware of your environment. If you see something
that is not normal, tell yourself, hey, wait a second,
what is that. Some people don't see it because they
don't want to see it. If they allow themselves to
(48:45):
know and to see something that would be like you know,
a demonic thing, then it will wreck their whole life.
They just can't let themselves see it.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
So how can someone protect it themselves against these type
of invaders from other dimensions or outer space or spiritual warriors.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
Well, I believe we all have within us a soul
that gives we were born with our protection on board,
and we need to remember that we have a soul.
We are a soul living a human existence and to
do our practices. Whatever your religion is, use it because
(49:31):
as the more you use it, the better it gets
and the stronger your force field gets. Actually, sometimes you
have to call in an expert. Many times I would
refer people to It depends on what they believe in,
of course, but sometimes Native American medicine men, sometimes it
would be go to the Catholic priest for the exorcisms.
(49:55):
If somebody's really having a big problem with their mindbviously
would refer them to their doctor, to their family, and
then to a psychiatrist. I don't say, oh, here, let
me do all that.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
No, No, what is the sign for you that the
person has issues that are far beyond your capabilities to
solve as a psychic, that medical intervention is actually required.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Oh well, Sometimes people are possessed to the point that
their entire eye is black, black, smooth, shiny, like they
are possessed. Okay, sometimes is that? Sometimes it is because
(50:46):
their energies are so frequented with they can't hold a thought,
they can't hold things together, they can't speak correctly. But
a lot just because they are in severe pain.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
I don't try to be I would imagine we're talking
about spiritual pain as well as mental and physical pain
and anguish.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
Yes, exactly. Yeah. I know one lady who believed that
there was a demon working to take her nose off
her face and a little at a time that nose
started coming off her face. I think things happen that
we cannot explain logically, and that science can help. I
(51:39):
believe that sometimes it's a cry for help, obviously, that
they need help. Maybe they are afraid to talk to
their family because they think they're crazy. Well, sometimes they
just need help, and I tell them to go see
a counselor I try to get in between. Okay, the
doctor and the psychiatrist. Maybe you need to see a

slur you know about mental health because you're too stressed out,
is what I usually would say.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
Do you find that this gives you? Does the person
reject you as a professional psychic because you've suggested that
they go see seek medical or mental lead?
Speaker 1 (52:24):
Actually, no, they come back to me. They come back
for readings. But if they're in a bad space, I
don't just do a reading and lay down the cards
just to say, okay, you know, give me the fifty bucks.
I don't do that. If I feel that a person
is too sick to upset in any way not in
good shape, I do not do a reading. So they
(52:47):
have to be pretty balanced by the time they get
back to me.
Speaker 2 (52:51):
So how long does a reading.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
Take Sometimes we can do one for like twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
To tyro readings, psychic readings, clairvoyant mediumship. That's all about
twenty minutes, Yeah.

Twenty minutes, half hour. Once in a while a person
wants to book a full hour because they have a
lot to talk about.

Sure, you know you must be exhausted by the end
of the day.

I do get tired, Yes, I do. I do get tired.

What does your family think about the chosen profession and
the way that you help people using your gifts?

Well, my husband is one hundred percent for it.

He has seen a lot of the people talking to
me and to him about how I've helped them and
about my accuracy on how I saved them having big
problems by telling them ahead of time something was coming.
The rest of my family, they just think I'm just
you know, my nutty self.

You're just you.

I'm just me. You know, the one who gets tattoos.

I love tattoos. I think that you know a person
who has tattoos is using their body as an artist.
