Speaker 1 (00:14):
This morning, the Word of God comes to us from
a couple of different places. We're talking today about the
power of confirmation, particularly finding confirmation through God's word. You know,
from time to time God confirms things in our lives, well,
every day he does. But there are certain things that

(00:35):
you may be going through or I'm going through, and
you really think, Lord, I really just need to know
what direction to take. I really need to know if
this is something from you. And then all of a
sudden something will happen, and maybe through directly through God's word,
it might be through someone else, it might be something
that was sent to you through some media, but all

(00:57):
of a sudden, the Holy Spirit will confirm something in
your spirit that God has been trying to tell you
all along. So today we look at that and as
believers in Jesus Christ, we have a very incredible source
of guidance and confirmation in God's Word. The Bible is
a living, breathing testament of God's promises, God's wisdom, and

(01:21):
particularly God's love for us. His word is powerful. His
word is transforming. Any of you out there who who
have experienced the transforming of your life through Jesus Christ
know exactly what I'm talking about this morning. In Hebrews
four and verse number twelve, it tells us, for the

(01:43):
Word is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two
edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is
a discerner of the thoughts and the intense of the heart.
This verse this morning, as we read it reminds us

(02:05):
the Scripture can penetrate our hearts, it can penetrate our minds,
It could definitely can penetrate and control our souls. But
it also has this powerful ability to confirm things in
our life that we know the Holy Spirit's already telling us.
It reveals truths that goide are decision making, and it

(02:26):
lights the past of our life. So when we turn
to the Bible, we are engaging in God's thought process.
We're engaging in his intentions for our life. Never go
to the Word of God trying to justify how you feel.
Go trying to justify the truth of the Word of

(02:49):
God and how the Holy Spirit is trying to confirm
something in your life. Says when we face decisions, whether
they're big or small, it's essential to seek confirmation in scripture.
Instead of relying solely on our feelings or the opinions
of other people, we can explore verses that resonate through

(03:11):
our entire situation. For instance, maybe you're contemplating a career change,
or Proverbs chapter three and verse five and six encourages
you to trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not into your own understanding. Basically, what that
verse always tells me, there is a way that seems right,

(03:33):
and there is a way that is right, and so
I need to make sure I pursue the way that
is right. And only the Lord knows that. So as
we look through the Word of God, it's a comforting
reminder that God will direct our past when we seek
him with all our heart. So finding confirmation through God's
word is not just about receiving answers. It's also about

(03:56):
the joy that comes from our fellowship with Him. So
we encounter stories of faith, stories of perseverance, God's unwavering
love for mankind, and that He's concerned about every single situation,
whether they be great in your mind or small. Psalm
one nineteen one O five beautifully states that his word

(04:21):
is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto
our path. It reminds us that even in the darkest
times of our life, God's work can shine the light
of confirmation and to every situation. So today, as you
seek confirmation, don't forget to embrace the promise found in

(04:42):
Moments eight twenty eight, which assures us that we know
that all things work together for good to them that
love God and to them that are called according to
His purpose. Notice it didn't say our purpose. We are
called according to His purpose. This promise can give you

(05:06):
a source of strength today. It reminds you that even
in your struggles, God is working behind the scenes for
your benefit. So today you be safe, you be strong,
and you be blessed. You have a great and wonderful day.
