Speaker 1 (00:01):
As we begin this devotion time together today, the Lord
speaks to us about obstacles.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
That are in our lives.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
It seems like, no matter who you are, no matter
where you live, we all have one thing in common,
and that is that throughout our life, throughout our journey,
even throughout our day, obstacles come in and out of
our lives. If we look at that this morning, there
are a couple of different ways obstacles do come into
our lives. One is, of course, to slow us down
(00:31):
or to distract us from the journey or the path
that God has for us in our lives. That obstacles
also come into our lives sometimes to strengthen us, to
grow us in our faith, to grow us in an.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Area of life where we're weak in.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Sometimes we don't think about this, but when we pray
for God to strengthen us in a certain area.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Of our life, we overlook the fact that.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Sometimes obstacles come into our life to do that very thing,
to strengthen us, to grow us in that area. I
look in the Word of God this morning that ps
I'm one nineteen in verse one O five it says
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a
light unto my path, and this first comes to my
(01:21):
spirit this morning as I think about obstacles, because I
have to see the obstacles for what they really are.
I can't look too far down the road, and I
can't look at something that isn't really there. I have
to look at it through the word of God. What
is God trying to show me? What is He trying
(01:42):
to teach me because of these obstacles that sometimes come
into our lives. So this morning, I want.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
To pray through those obstacles.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
When we look at things that we have to overcome
in life, there's only two real powerful weapons that the
Lord what has given us. One is his word, the
other is the ability to communicate with him through prayer.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
So I want to pray with you this morning. I
want you to pray with me.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
There's any obstacle in your life, whether it's to slow
you down or to grow you, only you and God
will be able to figure that out. But I want
you to pray with me, and for me and with
each other on these obstacles that are in and out
of our lives. Every day, Lord, as the dawn breaks
(02:37):
on another day, I realize that hope fills the sky and.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Feels my soul.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
This morning, Lord, I'm reminded of Joshua and the children
of Israel, and I declare that today is the day
that I will cross over into my promised land. Regardless
of the obstacles in front of me. I can feel
the Spirit of God with me today. And Lord, as
(03:06):
I place your presence before me, the mighty obstacles must
part and make way for me to cross over into
my promised land. Today, as my feet touched the grounds
of my promise, I will set up touchstones that remind
me of all the miracles that you have.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Done on my behalf and in my life.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
My cry of victory will be heard all over the
world as I elevate you, Lord, and you elevate my
life to be a symbol of your love, of your power,
and of your grace.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Lord, I declare that I am strong.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
And courageous only in You, and I decree that I
am unmovable as I prepare to fight and take what
belongs to me, belongs to my family, to belong to
to my church family, according to your word, Lord, the
time is now.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
The moment to press forward has come. And may your
word be a lamp unto my feet the light and
to my path.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
In Christ's holy name, Lord, we pray today the prayer
of Victory, that we will overcome any obstacle in our life,
and regardless whether it's there to slow us down or
to grow us, we will.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Be stronger because you have walked us.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Through by the power of your word. I pray that
you have prayed that prayer this morning. I pray that
you see an obstacle as an opportunity, an opportunity to
grow closer to the Lord and to also reveal what
really is.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
In you today. Today you be safe, you be strong.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
And you be blessed, and be a person that knows
that they can overcome any obstacle because Jesus Christ goes
before you, walks beside you, and will follow you all
the days of your life.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
And you will dwell in.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
The House of the Lord forever or as we will
see you back here again tomorrow. And until then, I
sure hope you have a great day.
