Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good morning, and welcome in the morning moments with Jesus.
Once again time we know that each day that we
get up, there is a battle within us or between
our flesh and between our spirit. And typically whichever one
we give the most attention to is the one that
dictates our day and the direction that our day will

(00:22):
go in. So I take for our verses first and
foremost in Galatians chapter five, verse sixteen, and seventeen. And
then I wrap it up with Deuteronomy chapter thirty. And
this forms a complete thought from the word of God.
This I say, then, walk in the spirit, and you
shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh, for the

(00:44):
flesh battles against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh,
and these are contrary the one to the other, so
that you cannot do the things that you want. Now,
Deuteronomy says, I call heaven and earth to record this
day against you that I have set before you life

(01:06):
and death, blessings and cursings. Therefore, choose life that both
you and your children may live. The mind serves its
dual purpose in the spiritual realm. It is a garden
and it is also a spiritual battleground. Both sides are

(01:27):
locked in an eternal struggle to plant seeds and to
fight for your light to shine on them. God planted
seeds of love, compassion, spiritual growth, and your purpose and
true path in life. And then on the other side,
Satan is also planting seeds, but they are seeds of doubt,

(01:52):
feelings of being unworthy of grace, fear, hate, spiritual inadequacies,
and isolates. Can anybody identify with that this morning? See?
The difficulty is that we are born in this world
and of sin. So it comes more natural for us
to give our attention and our light to those fleshly

(02:14):
things and allow them to grow. But when we do that,
our light for Christ becomes much dimmer, and we seem
to be stuck, unable to move forward. And the reason
we are stuck is because those seeds, no matter how
much light, no matter how much energy we give them,

(02:36):
they will always keep you in the same place, and
they will never bear for a good fruit. But when
we accept Christ as our savior and the Holy Spirit
resides inside of us, then the old man should die
and we have to realize that the new man, the

(02:56):
one covered by the blood of Christ, gives us all
power over satan in this world, and we need to
adapt to a new way of thinking. And what seeds
we shine our light on each and every day. See,
if we shine our light on the seeds of God,
not only will those seeds grow, they will start to

(03:18):
bear fruit and allow us to experience a fulfillment that
we would not otherwise know or see. Say, it's a
simple concept. Really, it's never going to be easy, but
it always is simple. So today I want to pray
a blessing over you today. But I believe the Lord

(03:40):
speaks to us this morning in our prayer time, and
he says this through my spirit, says the Lord, you
are my child. The path is not easy, and it
requires constant examination of everything you do, everything you think.
Conviction should bring repentance and pentance should bring a change

(04:02):
of heart. Old habits rise up in your flesh and
battle against your spirit. But today allow my spirit, says
the Lord, to help you subdue your flesh, your mind,
and your emotions. And remember to count it all joy,
for My peace dwells within those who diligently seek me

(04:26):
and walk in my spirit. Do not concern yourself with
the cares of this present world. Keep your focus on
my kingdom and my call upon your life. There is
much more to your life than what you are experiencing
right now, So persevere and wait upon the Lord. Pray

(04:50):
you have a great day to day. Pray that this
is spoken to you because this is always There's always
going to be a battle within you, and whichever one
you give your like to and your attention to, that'll
direct your day, your path, and ultimately your life. God blessin,

(05:11):
God keep you. You be safe, you be strong, and
you be blessed.
