THIS IS THE LIFE PODCAST

Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Waiting can feel like the hardest part of our faith. There’s something about a prolonged season of “not yet” that tests our hearts in ways we don’t realize.
But if you’ve been holding onto a promise, a dream, or a word from the Lord, I want to encourage you today: the wait is almost over.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
And the scripture calls us this morning to Habacca chapter
two and verse number three. I don't want you to
listen to what it says. It says, for the vision
is yet for an appointed time. But at the end
it shall speak and not lie. Though it terry, wait
for it, because it will surely come, it will not terry.

(00:41):
And as I read that verse this morning, you know,
if we're honest about it, waiting can feel like the
heart one of the hardest parts of our faith. There's
something about a prolonged season of not yet that tests
our hearts in ways that we don't even realize. But
if you've been holding on to a promise, a dream,

(01:02):
or a word from the Lord, I want to encourage
you this morning that the weight because Hubaca chapter two
and verse number three. See, that's a verse that speaks
right to the heart of every weary dreamer, every faithful
soul who's held on to what when it would have
been easier to let go, You've just continually held on

(01:22):
to that vision. It says that yet the vision is
yet for an appointed time, and that means God has
marked it, has marked it on what I call his
divine calendar. In other words, it's not random, and it's
not a It's not delayed because God forgot about it.
Your vision, your promise, has an appointment to be fulfilled.

(01:47):
But here's the catch. No, I want you to listen
closely to this this morning. It's for an appointed time,
not a preferred time. See. God's timing often stretches us,
shapes us not just for the fulfillment of the promise,
but listen, He prepares us for the weight and responsibility

(02:08):
that promise may carry. See. Sometimes the waiting season is
less about the delay of the dream and vision and
more about the development of the dream and the visionary. See.
God may not be withholding the vision. He just may
be working on the one who has the vision. Maybe

(02:28):
you've had a vision stirring in your heart for years,
a calling, a purpose, a change in your life. You
prayed about it, you plan for it, you've even pursued
in the quiet, faithful ways. Yet here you are this morning,
still waiting, still wondering, still asking when, Lord, when will
it come to pass? The truth is you're not behind,

(02:53):
you're not forgotten, and you're not failing. What you're doing
is you're being positioned, and the waiting is not wasted
time at all. See, the waiting season has a purpose.
It's building a better you. It's teaching you to trust
God when things don't look like they're moving, or when
things don't look like the way you think they are

(03:15):
to look Jesus. Because here's the thing. When the vision
does come, and it will, you'll need to know who
you are in Christ. You'll need to be rooted in Christ.
Not the outcome, not the applause, not the success, not
the reviews of others, not the likes, not the followers.

(03:37):
The season of waiting is helping you get there. It's
stripping away the false identities, the striving, the pressures to
prove anything to anybody and anyone. It's forming in you
the kind of character that can carry the weight of
the vision with grace and humility and never forgetting who
you are when the vision begins to grow. So don't compromise.

(04:02):
Now you're closer than you think you are. I want
to tell you that this morning, you're closer than you
think you are. This is not the time to water
down who you are to fit what others may think
about you. You don't have to fit in, you don't
have to try to do whatever it takes to get ahead.

(04:23):
This is not the time to take shortcuts, shide, step
to process. It's tempting, I know, I know it is.
And when it seems like nothing is happening, it's easy
to start questioning if you've heard God right, or maybe
you need to help him out a little bit. You
ever been there. Listen to what Hubbacca reminds us. Though

(04:44):
it terry, wait for it. So today, take a deep breath, relax,
rest your heart in the faithfulness of God, keep going,
keep your eyes fixed on the vision. Do the little things,
Do the things that you don't think are important, because
they are. Stay steady, stay spirit filled, spirit hopeful. The

(05:08):
weight is almost over and what's coming man is going
to be worth it. So to day you be safe,
you be strong, and you be blessed. Lords will will
see you back here again tomorrow. No, until then, have
a great day,
