Speaker 1 (00:00):
Like to welcome each and every one of you back
in the morning moments with Jesus today. Pray he had
a blessed day yesterday. He Now as we look at
the Word of God this morning, I come out of
Psalms one thirty nine in verse number fourteen, when the
Bible says, I will praise you for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy works, and that my
(00:22):
soul knows right well. The first thing I want to
talk to you this morning about after you realize that
you are valuable to God, is the fact that we
have to be honest before God about who we are.
And the reason why that's so important is because if
we continue to look at ourselves through our own eyes,
(00:44):
then what we see is we see our flaws. We
see our failures, we see our weaknesses, we see our excuses.
We see all these things that prevent us from not
only living our life more in focus, but from doing
the things that God is really called us to do
and the things that we really want to do upon
this earth. We just allow fear or all these other
(01:07):
things to kind of restrict us. You know, it's amazing
to me when I think about the fact that if
you woke up this morning and you had a pain
in your back that just would not go away, then
one of the things that you would probably first do
is make a doctor's appointment. You would go see about
that back to see what the problem is, and that
(01:28):
you would pay whatever it costs. You would take the
medicine that the doctors tell you to take in order
to get rid of that pain. But yet many people
will get up today and they will have the same habits,
the same struggles, the same things mentally, emotionally and spiritually
(01:48):
as they would physically. But physically, you'll take care of
whatever's ailing you. But sometimes spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, we
neglect those things that becomes the normal in our lives,
and we begin to live a defeated and destructive life,
sometimes simply because we want to address who we are.
(02:10):
And God wants us to know this morning that we
are precious in his sight. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
He told Jeremiah, before I ever formed you, I knew you,
and I ordained you, and I sanctified you for a
specific purpose in life. He went on to tell him
later on, he said, I know the plans I have
(02:31):
for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
and give you a future and an expected end. I
want you to know this morning that you're valuable to God.
But you also got to start looking at who you
are in Christ Jesus, not just who you are in
the mirror. I don't want you to look at your
(02:52):
flaws and your failures today. I want you to look
at what God can do through you. I have a
saying that God gives me along time ago that in
order for something to change, something must change. And sometimes
what needs to change is your mindset, the way you
look at things, the way you look at yourself. We
(03:13):
do not need to have an ego. We do not
need to puff ourselves up. We need not to think
that we're higher than we ought to think we are.
But we also can't go through life continuing to tell
our minds and our spirit and our emotions what we
can't do when God is telling us what we can do.
(03:34):
So this morning I ask you to just begin to
pray and begin to seek God's face and began to say, God,
show me who I am in Christ Jesus. I remember
the apostle Paul when he began to talk and inform
the letter and write about who he was. He said,
i am the least of the apostles, and I'm not
(03:55):
even fit to be an apostle because I persecuted the church.
That's who he was in his own eyes. But Paul
followed that up with who he was in God's eyes.
But he said, but grace be to God that I
am what I am, and He has shed his grace
on me, and therefore I have labored more abundantly than
(04:17):
them all. Yet not I, but it was Christ that
was working through me. And so that's what I want
you to see today. It's not just you, it's what
Christ can do through you that matters. So today, be
honest about who you are and walk with integrity, walk
with honor, and reach out and grab that fruit that
(04:39):
only God can reach through you. You be safe, you
be strong, and you be blessed today, and you be
that person that says I am fearfully and wonderfully made
in Christ. Jesus. Lords will see you back here again tomorrow,
and until then, I hope you have a great day.
