Speaker 1 (00:01):
Did you know that your morning routine is the first
love letter you write to yourself every single day? So
what is your letter saying to you? Let's get into it.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Let's do this here, shout out.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
You're listening to the thoughts of a blog Queen podcast with.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Your host love Renee a Woman. Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Hey, my love, and welcome back. Welcome back. Oh my god, y'all,
it feels so good to be back on the mic
with you guys. I know it's been a minute. Listen,
let's address the elephant in the room. Let's go ahead
and knock this out. It's been a minute. There has
been a huge gap between the last entry that job
dropped and this one that's on me, So listen. I know.

(01:16):
But when life tells you to pause and reset, you listen.
And what kind of a self care coach would I
be if I'm not practicing what I preach? Like, I
have to show up for you guys, but I also
have to show up for myself first, right, So anytime
that I feel like I need to take that moment,
I do, and then often, and then you know what,

(01:38):
I'm gonna be very transparent. It's not always that I
just need to take a minute to like pause or
anything like that. Sometimes depending on what I want to
do for my next episode, sometimes I need to I
need to like be in that moment. I need to
like live in that in that moment, like gain some experience,
gain some perspective. Before I just into just giving you

(02:01):
guys a bunch of bs on an entry, right, I
really want to like reflect on it. I want to
dig deep and see if anything from my past can
help to add value to the episode. I want each
entry that you guys tune into to have some value
with it. I want to bring resources to you that
are going to help you. And so sometimes that's what

(02:23):
it is. It's like sometimes life experience and things that
I'm going through add a little bit more girth to
the entry. So it's not always that I just need
like a mental break. A lot of times it is
it's like cause I'm actually like juggling a lot of
different things. I'm trying to do a lot your girls,
trying to get to the bag in multiple ways. So

(02:44):
with that comes like sometimes things have to be put
on hold because I got to focus on this. I've
been trying to build up the Patreon community. That's been
a big focus and prioritize priority for me. So that's
kind of why the podcast got put on the back
burner because I've been trying to like add layers and collections,

(03:08):
unlock new collections over there, and we're gonna get into
that too. So let's just talk about what's on the
agenda for today. This is gonna be more like a catchup.
We are still in the midst of the Solo season series.
We have two more entries to go and then we're
moving out of the Solo Season. I know it's been
it's been a slow crawl. It's been a slow crawl
to get to the end of this series. But I

(03:29):
kind of like low key. I kind of like it
that way. I kind of like that we're that we've
taken the time to actually like live in this solo season.
For me anyway, I've had to actually live in it.
And so, like I said, I need to provide you
guys with actual value, and so some of that comes
from my own experience of being in my own solo season, right,

(03:51):
So this is gonna be kind of like just a
catchup entry. We're still in the midst of the Solo
season and we're still gonna address that. But but but
we're just gonna sit down, we're gonna have this coffee together.
So we're gonna talk about morning routines. That was something huge,

(04:11):
That was a big That was a big one for
this entry that I wanted to make sure that I
talked about. And so the recording time when I'm recording this,
I'm actually doing this at a different recording time because
typically my recording times are evening. But for this one,

(04:31):
because we're talking about the morning routine and the why
there's so much power in it, I felt like it
would be better for me to add recording this entry
into my morning routine. So I do have I have
my tea, I have my water, I have my Jujubi tea.

(04:51):
You know, you know, I have my cold water. So
get you get your shit together, y'all. Get you a
little cold blanket, get your earbudds, go get something, push
pause if you need to go, get you some tea,
go get you some coffee, and let's just get through
this entry together. I missed y'all so much. I really did,

(05:15):
Like I really enjoy doing this part of my platform.
But I've you know, but anyway, like I said, I've
missed you. So on the agenda, we're gonna talk about
the power of a morning routine. We're gonna talk about
the incoming fall season, y'all, or how we're gonna use
this to reset. We're gonna have the fall reset chitty chat.

(05:37):
I am gonna talk about solo travel. I'm gonna tell
you guys about my solo trip that I just took.
Obviously if you know, you know your girl just took
her second solo trip ever. And then we're gonna do
a self care check in and yeah, and then we'll
wrap it up eventually. I do want, like I said,
I do want to talk about Patreon in depth because

(06:00):
I really want you guys to get over there with me.
If you're not already shout out to my Patreon people,
y'all know I love you over there. So let's let's
start first. We can't do anything until I pour into you, guys,
and y'all know that, so allow me to pour into you.

(06:23):
Let's do this. Okay, So you guys are being poured

(06:46):
into today by this magazine. Well it's not a magazine.
It's a special edition collection of different articles. It's called
the Power of Positivity. A simple outlook can change your life.
So it's just this collection of a lot of just

(07:07):
different valuable things. And one of the things that I
found one of the articles was Annoying Situations Solved. It
says things don't always go as planned, and never fear.
You can keep perspective with these strategies for navigating all
the maddening moments. Right, So they give you in this article,
they give me about nine or ten different strategies for

(07:35):
annoying situations and how we can kind of solve those things.
And one of the things that I wanted to talk
about was what was number two on their list, and
it says something is seriously weighing on you and you're
consumed with worry, So how do we tackle that? The
rewind on that they're telling you to write it out.
And y'all know how I feel about journaling. Y'all know

(07:56):
how I feel about journaling. Wellh I talk about this
all the time. So what they're telling us to do, Okay,
So it says the rewind is to write it out.
The time this should take would be anywhere from five
to twenty minutes, and this is how you're gonna do it.
It says worry can hijack your day by taking over

(08:17):
real estate in your brain, says an MD by the
name of Susan Hawes. She is a wellness expert and
a life coach that is out in Canada. She proceeds
to say, what's more is it can keep you up
at night. One strategy write out your worries. This can

(08:39):
help you work through your thoughts long before you have
to go to bed. Because so, for okay, I relate
to this because I think nighttime is probably the most
prevalent time for me personally. When I get to like overthinking,
anxiety kicks in and I'm up on night worrying about
all of the things that I need to do I

(09:00):
haven't done, the things that are looming over me in
my life, the things that are unresolved or loose ends,
whatever it is that might be worrying me. I tend
to think about those things when I lay my head down,
and then I that makes for a terrible night's sleep,
and I'm always trying to look for things to take
to help natural things, of course, to help me get

(09:22):
some rest at nights. So what they're telling us to
do is to set an intentional time. This needs to
be before you go to bed, and write out all
of the things that you are worried about, and set
a timer. When you're doing this, no more than twenty minutes.
Write those things out so that you can look at them,

(09:44):
see them, see all the things that are wearying you,
and you'll be able to address those things one by
one when you can. But take that time to write
it out. And then when that timer stops, y'all, when
that timer stops, you need to move on from it,
and you need to try very very very hard be
intentional about not visiting that space anymore in your day. Obviously,

(10:09):
when we have things that we're worried about, there can
be potential outcomes and impacts and consequences and things that
we have to deal with. Obviously, to you know, address
those things, we have to solve the problems, right, but
like we can be very intentional about not allowing those
things to take over and consume the entire day. Like

(10:30):
I said, you don't want to do this close to
bed before bedtime. You want to do this at some
point and maybe you know, if you're journal in the morning,
maybe I don't know, that might be the time for
you might not be the time. You might not want
to start your day out by writing out your worries,
but I feel like I kind of feel like that's
a good time to do it, because it's like getting
it out the way and then I don't want to

(10:51):
visit this space anymore for today. When you write those
those worries out, maybe even on the side of it,
give yourself some grace and give yourself a date for
when you can tackle that, you know what I mean. Like, Okay,
if you know you need something repaired in the house

(11:14):
and you need to like do get some quotes from
some contractors or something like that, literally, and it's something
that needs to be fixed in the house, obviously it's
something that's worrying you, Like I currently have something that
I need to deal with in my home. But take
the time to like, Okay, this is when I'm going

(11:34):
to do this. This is when I'm going to block
out the time to be focused on this, because when
you're focused on it, then obviously you might be worried
about it. Right take that time. This is the time
I'm going to do this. This is the time that
I'm gonna deal with this, not a minute before, not
a minute after. This is the day. Tuesday is going
to be the day that I think about this and
I'm going to tackle everything that I need to do.

(11:55):
I'm going to find three contractors to contact. I'm gonna
call them, I'm gonna get quotes, and then I'm gonna
be done with it. I'm not gonna deal with it anymore.
I'm gonna get that information and then I'm going to
sit on it until it's time for me to take
the next step for whatever that is. So it's telling
you to block out your time to worry, and then

(12:16):
that's it. And it makes perfect sense, y'all. It makes
perfect sense. And this is I think this is a
good segue for us to get into talking about our
routines and the power of a morning routine, because, like
I said, maybe that might be something that you want
to write out when you do your journaling in the morning.

(12:37):
Y'all know, I'm a stand for journaling. I will always
promote journaling. I have fifty eleven journals up in here,
and they all serve a purpose. So I'm gonna always
hype that up for you guys, because I think it's
very therapeutic and it's always gonna help. It may not
solve everything, but it's gonna help you to put things

(12:58):
in perspective. So yeah, so the again, the power of
morning routine. Let's start there. Let's start with our mornings.
I can't stress enough how powerful it is to claim
your mornings. So for me, my mornings are my sacred time. Okay,
they are gonna set the tone for everything else that
happens in the day. So whatever it is, you know, however,

(13:22):
you whatever it is that you got going on in
your morning routine. And sometimes it's journaling since skincare. For me,
it's both. I do my skincare. That's a whole that's
a whole ritual right there. Journaling. I might listen to
a couple of songs from my favorite playlist in the

(13:43):
morning while I'm sipping on my coffee. It's just something
I'm being very intentional. And I think that is the
that is the key word behind your morning routine. It's
the intention behind it. And if you don't have a routine,
start small. Okay, if you don't have a routine, And

(14:06):
I think to an extent, just like as women, we
have things that we like, we get up you know,
depending on Like for me, let's go through kind of
what my routine is. So in the morning, when I
open my eyes, the first thing that I do is
I pray, and I basically, you know what I'm saying.

(14:27):
I thank God for allowing me to open my eyes,
and I thank Him for the day that I had yesterday.
I thank him for this current day that I'm about
to live, and I thank Him in advance for tomorrow.
I do this all the time. I do this every
single morning. Start with gratitude. I have to because no

(14:50):
matter what I go through, I you know, it's just
a blessing to be able to even have to go
through some stuff. Right, some people they're not going through
anything because they're not here to go through it. So
think about that. But yeah, so I wake up, I
will say my little prayer in the morning, and then

(15:11):
the first thing for me that I have to do now, Okay,
so I have a pet. I have a dog, Acy Pooh,
So I have to get him situated first, and that
that's up for debate whether or not I should be
prioritizing him before me, But I do that. And the

(15:31):
reason why I do that is because I feel like
getting him squared away and out the way and get
his food in his water and make sure he's relieved himself.
When he's taken care of, then I don't have to
worry about hearing him whine. I don't have to allow
that to stress me out. First thing in the morning,
I'd get him out the way first so that he's calm,
quiet and collected because he has his routine, right. He

(15:52):
knows Mom comes down, you know, and we do the thing.
So that's his routine and that keeps him calm. So I,
you know, kind of think about that for yourself. What
routine is going to keep you calm? What routine is
gonna make you happy? What are you going to look
forward to? So I wake up, I pray, I throw
on something, I get my dog together, and then I

(16:14):
come back. I get out of those outside clothes and
I'll put a robe back on, and then I am
gonna do what do I do? First? Usually I do
my skincare first, and then I go. After I do
my skincare, I'll go into the kitchen and I'll do

(16:35):
my chlorophyl drink, my little green magic drink, my chlorophyl drink,
and then I will, uh, what will I do? Then
I'll get dressed whatever I'm getting dressed for the day. Now,
I have the luxury of being able to work from home,
so I don't have to commute to work or anything
like that. So I love that about my routine. I'm

(16:59):
grateful for that. So I only have to go downstairs
to go to to go to work. But so I'll
get whatever I'm wearing for the day, I'll throw that
on and then I will just depending on what the
time is looking like. At that point, I usually try

(17:20):
to get my stretching in. I found that since I
started adding stretching in to my day before I start
working and after I work, it makes for a better
for well, number one, my my posture is better because

(17:41):
I you know, I'm at a desk all day long,
so my posture is better when I do stretching first
thing in the morning. So I might do that. I don't,
I'm gonna be honest, I don't always get to include
that in because it just depends on the timing of what,
you know, whatever else went on in the morning. But
that would typically be what I would do before I

(18:03):
go and actually sit my butt down at my desk,
like I'm doing some stretching and then I'm starting my workday.
So what does your morning routine look like? Like? Your mornings?
This is gonna be like a love letter that you

(18:24):
write to yourself every single day. So what is it
going to tell you? What are you going to put
into this love letter? This routine is intentional. This routine
is something you can look forward to every single night
before you go to bed, think about, Oh my god,
I'll get my morning routine. This is all about me.
This is has nobody else involved. This is all of

(18:46):
the things that I want to do. This is specifically
for me, and this is for me to be able
to set a tone for a better day your mornings.
That is a very sacred resets space and you should
you should like take that seriously, like embrace that time.
It's how you're gonna start the day, you know what

(19:07):
I mean. And all of the things, the more things
that you are able to do for yourself makes for
just a better just a better Sorry y'all trying to
get comfortable in this space that I'm in, but yeah,
it just makes for a better It starts it's a
better day, you know what I mean. So whatever it

(19:30):
is that you like to do, like like I said,
for me, those are the things that I do when
I first get up in the morning, and it's like
if I don't do those things, I know, like my
routine is thrown off. Like I said, my chlorophyll in
the mornings A lot of times that will Lately it's
been replacing the coffee that I drink in the morning,

(19:53):
which is great. It really like gives you a boost
of energy, it doesn't. I think it kind of helps
for me. I don't always get to get breakfast in.
I'm not a big breakfast person, and that was something
that I've been trying to do. But like when I
get my chlorophyll drink in me, it kind of like

(20:15):
curbs that hunger a little bit. So if I didn't
get to get breakfast in, I'm still okay because I
got that in. But so yeah, I gotta have my
chlorophyll in the morning, like I gotta like, I gotta
have that, like people gotta have their coffee, because when
you don't, when you don't have a when you don't

(20:40):
have a morning routine, you gotta understand like having a
morning routine is going to produce It's gonna boost your
productivity for the day, right, It's going to improve mental health.
It helps to reduce stress, it enhances your focus. And
while not having a routine is that it's just gonna

(21:04):
result in like a very chaotic, stressful, and less productive day.
You just you just moving around, you just doing stuff,
You just doing stuff that you're just checking stuff off.
But the more structure that you add to the routine,
the better it's gonna be. So I really want you
guys to start building up your routine and a ritual,
and you can start small. And I want to tell

(21:25):
you guys something that I've just recently started incorporating into
my morning routine. So I want to tell you guys
about this app that I started using. This is not
this is not like an affiliate ad or anything like that.
I'm not. This is actually something that I've personally just
started doing. And actually I actually I need to see
if there's like some kind of affiliate link that I

(21:45):
can share with you guys to get you guys to
sign up. But there's an app and it's called Fabulous,
and I really I just started using this. You guys
can sign up now for the long term. There is
like a little fee, and what they're gonna do is
they're gonna let to do a free trial and then
they're gonna offer you a big discount on what the
regular prices. So like I think it was something like

(22:08):
two months for nineteen ninety nine or something like. They're
gonna cut it half in half or something like that.
Y'all know how they do. But you can definitely start
it for free and see if you like it. And
so they it's it's basically helping you to build up
routines to better your self care. It is helping you

(22:31):
to add different things. I love how the app is
set up because it starts off by something doing something small.
So they start you off by saying, are you drinking
water first thing in the morning. We want to make
sure that you're doing this at least three times a week,
starting your day, starting the day with water first thing

(22:53):
before you do anything else, before I even have my chlorophyll, water,
just water hydrate myself out. So then it's gonna be
from there you're able to like build on and add
on different habits. It's gonna allow you to be to
like check off and each day it's gonna send you reminders.

(23:17):
It's gonna help you to be more intentional. And I
already love it. One of the things that they have.
I'm gonna see if and actually let me pull out
my phone and get to the because what they have
so so far in my I've I've layered drinking water
every day and a daily coaching moment is how I
want to add to my mornings. So they have this.

(23:40):
I'm so sorry for them for all the extra noise, y'all.
I'm trying to get myself together. But anyway, so they
have something within the app that's called like daily coaching,
and it allows you to like listen to a very specific,
very intentional message to help you to help coach you.
Let me see, I'm gonna let me see if I

(24:00):
can play this for you guys. Hang on, So let's see.
Hopefully you guys can hear this, and I hope that
the audio is Okay.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Sunday has arrived. It brings you an anchor to set down.
You've completed the week, take a moment to learn from
all the ups and downs without judgment. Every experience provides
a morsel of learning that you can digest. Your wisdom

(24:37):
is growing week to week here on your fabulous path.
The martial artist Bruce Lee said, goals give life substance
to strive actively to achieve some goal. Give your life meaning.

(24:57):
Ask yourself how connected you feel to your goals. If
you could change one thing in your life, what is
it you desire most. A clear mission provides energy that
never runs out. A sense of purpose is the antidote

(25:19):
to fatigue. Constantly investigating what goals you are pursuing and why.
Meaning is what transforms the grind of daily routines into
your personal mission. As you look at the week that
has just passed, notice whether you're day to day fed

(25:41):
your higher purpose. If you felt connected, you know what
to repeat. If your real meaning felt far away, take
out a piece of paper. Now, make a cup of
tea or pour yourself a glass of water. Cate a
quiet moment, and write a wish list for your life.

(26:05):
It can be actions you wish to experience. It can
be feelings you wish to feel. It can be things
you wish to learn. It can be what you wish
to accomplish. You know that everyone has a certain number
of days left before them. If you were to design

(26:26):
the rest of your life, what would you like to
fill your remaining days? Remember Rumi's words, don't be satisfied
with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your
own myth without complicated explanation. Last week is behind you.

(26:49):
Now turn the page. It's time to open your next chapter.
You are the one writing the story of your life,
your very own once upon a time.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
See isn't that like? Does that not get the people going?
Does that not make you run to just like hopefully
i'all heard that loud and clear, but like I just
feel like, so I added that to my to my
stack after drinking water. I want to have a daily

(27:29):
coaching moment. I want to hear something that is going
to get me inspired, get me motivated, just get me
ready to take on the day and the week and
the month ahead and the the last thing that it's said,
last week is behind you. Now turn the page. It's

(27:50):
time to open your next chapter. Right, So, I think
that's like kind of the perfect lead way to go
into our next I guess our next little segment of
things that we're going to talk about, which is a
fall reset. So I personally think that the fall is

(28:14):
a great time to like get things, just get things
kind of refreshed. You know, we have spring cleaning obviously,
and then of course people have the new year, new
beginnings type of deal, but what about like that fall reset.
So we're in month eight and we are slowly approaching

(28:35):
the fall, so let's talk about it. Like there's something
about this season that just feels like a reset button
to me. I don't know about y'all, but like you
got the leaves that begin to shed, the air is
starting to feel different. It's to me, I feel like
it's like an invitation to slow down and like realign.

(28:56):
So for me, when the falls and comes in, I
kind of use that season to like ground myself, let
go some of the things that don't serve me anymore.
And one of my intentions for this fall is to
create more peace in my daily life, right because you know,

(29:16):
overall we can always say, oh no, like you know,
I protect my peace and I do certain things, you know,
I let go of certain people. Like there's just this
kind of like this overall, like the the big picture
things that you do to create space or create peace
in your life, like the you know what I mean,
But like, what are you doing to like create piece

(29:38):
daily So that's something that me personally that I want
to kind of focus on, is like how can I
create peace daily because even though I'm like, oh, I'm
doing this now to protect my peace, or like I'm
not putting up with this type of behavior from anybody,
or like anytime. You know, those are all cool, but
that doesn't change the fact that each day your piece

(30:00):
can be robbed. So like, what are you doing to
invite and maintain peace in your daily life? So for me,
that's one of the things that I'm going to be
more intentional about with the fall reset. So I want
you to think about what the season could mean for
you and what's one thing that you would like to
release or reset for the fall season that is slowly

(30:25):
but quickly coming in. It could be anything. It could
be any of the things that you want to just
kind of reset on. Whether that's your home, whether that's
your wardrobe, whether that's your skincare routine. Maybe you want
to switch up some things that you do. So let's
think about that. Let's we're at the half hour mark,

(30:48):
so let's go ahead and hear from a sponsor really quick,
and then we'll get back into our whole, our whole
fall season reset, y'all have I'll go for recently, while
everyone is going crazy over Koreans skincare products. I've added
something else to my routine that I don't think we're
talking about enough. For centuries back, some of the skin's

(31:10):
best vitamins and antioxidants were found in things like goljieberries, dates,
red roses, and what is known as the jujubta has
been a best kept secret. Mixed with things like ginger
and brown sugar, you have a subtle and sweet mixture
of what nourishes your skin from the inside out, because
remember that's where it starts to bring beauty to the

(31:31):
surface and helps to give you that healthy detox and
glow your skin deserves. Okay, now what's your secret? So,

(32:01):
like I was saying, y'all, let's talk about the fall
as our season or reset. What do we? What do we?
What are we resetting? So are we resetting our home space?
And let's be realistic about it because you might not
be able to. Okay, let's talk about our home space first.

(32:21):
Let's start there, because our home space is like where
we spend most of our time. What we have to
see for me my home space creating an environment that
is how I want it to be, and that is cozy,
and that is inviting, and that is warm and has
all of the things that I need. That is something
that I've been very intentional about building for myself. Doesn't

(32:43):
have anything to do with me wanting to have things
for when company. Know, everything that I do is like
I might want this, so let me make sure I
have this in place, or I like this, I want
to do this, let me create a space at my
home for this. So in your home space, resetting for
the fall can be obviously, you know, like the decord

(33:03):
that you use, but it can be creating a new space.
So like for me, I you know, I have been
working on turning my downstairs space into like kind of

(33:24):
like a yoga workout studio space or whatever. And I've
put a pause on that not well kind of but
not really, but it's it's still you know, I'm still
looking for different things. But one of the things that
I'm going to do for my fall reset is I'm
going to add two new pieces whatever that may be

(33:45):
down there that I want to add for the fall.
So that could be something like just a little small
I'm thinking about, like like a little small circular rug
that I went down there, and the I want to
switch the curtains out, so those you know, just something

(34:06):
like that. It's being intentional about creating the space that
you want to see. So that's something that I'm going
to do. I'm going to get back into that for
the fall season because I want to, Like I've been
spending a lot of time down there, but I find
that for me more when I'm creating a space, I

(34:26):
tend to want to spend more time there when the
space is how my vision, how I see it in
my vision. So in my mind, my downstairs space is
luxurious as hell. I got all of these things that
I want to do down there, and like it's not
there yet, so I'm like, maybe I'm not spending as
much time down here because I don't see the finished products.
So for me, that's what I need to do. I
need to see my I find motivation in my vision,

(34:50):
so I need to like get get it going. I
need to get that. I need to create the vision,
so I need to like do things. So that's what
I'm going to do. Like that's one of the things
that I'm going to do for my fall reset is
I'm going to work on my studio, my yoga studio space.
So what is something that you want to do in
your home. This can be anything like decluttering, adding fall

(35:14):
decre Maybe you just change out your throw pillow covers.
It doesn't always have to be a whole like expensive thing,
but maybe just like throwing in, you know, switching out
the pillow covers, getting a big, chunky knit throw blanket
to add to your living room. That's something that I'm

(35:34):
that I that I love, Like I have in my space.
I got like this little I don't know what kind
of basket you call it, but like I have all
my throw baskets throw blankets in there, and I love
like So I have like this merrygold yellow, very foolish

(35:55):
blanket that I like to use in the fall. I
don't use it all year round, but then when the
fall I start, when I'm out there in that space,
I use that. It's very cozy, it's very it just
gives fall. So when you do things like that and
you have little pieces like that that are just for you,
it's just a personal little throw blanket that's chunky, it's

(36:17):
the esthetic is there. It's a fall color. It just
makes you want to embrace the season a little bit more.
So I'm gonna and also, oh, and speaking of I
dropped a blog which I will have linked in the
show notes. I did drop a new blog. It should
have been scheduled to release the same day that you

(36:38):
guys should be hearing this. If you're tuned into this
on the day it dropped, then you should be able
to The link will be down in the show notes, y'all.
But yeah, so I dropped a fall reset blog and
I got like some links in there, like some little
cozy must have just little things that you can do
to like spruce up your home for the falls season,

(37:00):
So like a chunky knit blanket or maybe what else
did I put in there? I think I put What
else did I put? Oh? An essential oil diffuser? If
you don't have listen, if you don't have a diffuser
in your home yet, what are you doing? What are
you doing? You gotta have a diffuser that's like an
all year round thing, but specifically if you don't have

(37:21):
one yet, get one for the fall. And I have
a really good one that I have linked in the
blog for you guys. It's just something get and then
get those fall oils. It's just something about like having
that like letting off the aroma consistently in your house,
spreading out throughout your house, or your space in your

(37:43):
room wherever have one, have a couple of different ones.
It just depends, you know, because usually it's a diffuser
is only gonna like really unless you got a really good,
expensive one. They're only going to like work for just
a space that they're in, right, So like, get you
a couple like or you can move it around. But
like for me, I don't like to do That's one
of the things. Like for me, I don't want to

(38:04):
keep moving stuff around, I don't want to move a
diffuser from one room to the other. I might want
to have a diffuser in this room and in this room.
So I'm gonna I have a diffuser in my bedroom,
and I have a diffuser that's out in my living room.
That's just you know what I mean. I have an
oil warmer out there. I have candles. Obviously, this is
the time I think that if you're not really into

(38:26):
some people just really aren't into like candles and oils
and warmers and burners and things, that's cool if you're
not into it. But like if you're not, then that
makes this even better. For the fall reset, it's like
when the fall comes, this is the time when I
pull out my essential oils. This is the time when
I start turning on the diffusers and letting the house
start smelling like iced coffee and cinnamon rolls and things

(38:52):
like that. Like that's the only time of the year.
This is like fall and Christmas time. It's the only
time of the year where I really want to smell
like sweet bake good type of candles and like pumpkin
spice and all of that. It's the only time of
the year. Like, you're not gonna catch me burning pumpkin
spice oils and candles, you know what I'm saying. In
the spring, I'm just not doing it. But when you

(39:14):
take the time to like put it in those moments
or in those seasons, it all makes sense. Like transition
your oils. These things are these things, Listen, I'm trying
to tell y'all, these little small things. They're a little
small things that you can just do just just like that.
But like the timing of things is everything. When you're

(39:35):
intentional about the timing of things, Like I said, your
fall sense only smell, you know, don't be burning sugar
cookie candles in the summertime. That's not you know, that's
not the vibe. Be intentional about when you're gonna do
what you're gonna do, and another thing just to touch it,
just to kind of spend the block on the morning routine.

(39:57):
Turn some some diffusers. You can have a timer on it,
you can set a timer for it. But even if
you can't, maybe when you get up in the morning,
on your way to go to walk to go get
that water on your way to the bathroom, switch on
the diffuser. So start letting that go and build up

(40:19):
in the room as you're getting yourself together in the morning,
and make that a part of your morning routine. What
are some of the sense that that invite focus and
will just kind of you know, you kind of just already.

(40:40):
Let's see, let's look up what essential oils can we
use for Let's see we're looking for this in real time.
So we're gonna do like what essential oils are good
for focus? For focus and energy? All right, So here's

(41:06):
here's here's what they're telling you to do. So for
enhancing focus. Some of the most effective essential oils are peppermint, rosemary, lemon,
and frankincense. So these oils stimulate the mind and improve
mental clarity, while others like lavender promote a calm state
and help. So yeah, like of obviously, because like lavender
is something that you be like putting in your bath,
your worn bath before bed. But they're telling you that

(41:27):
these are the oils that are gonna ignite energy and focus.
So rosemary, peppermint, lemon, frankincense, all of those things. Put
those in your your diffuser and start the day with those.
But we're not gonna go back. We're not gonna go

(41:49):
back to the morning routine. But that, like I said,
I just wanted to like maybe that's something that you do.
So maybe when you turn on your diffusers, maybe now
you'll do some some fall oils or something like that,
or light a candle, you know, whatever it is that
you whatever it is that you want to do. But yeah,
so starting with your home space and visually being able

(42:10):
to embrace the new season, it's gonna help you. It's
gonna help you to want to do more for that
season when you can visually see, oh, we're in a
new season. If nothing changes around you, nothing changes around you,
remember that, So change the environment, change up what it
is that you might you know, whatever it is that

(42:33):
you might want to see. So decluttering is another thing
for the for the you don't have to wait until
what is it, spring cleaning to declutter. I did a
whole episode on this. I think I did a two

(42:54):
part episode on clearing out the clutter and how that
is related to our self care and how good that
feels when you get rid of things. So decluttering something
it doesn't have to be you're doing your whole house.
You can definitely wait until spring cleaning to like go
do a deep dive. But like, maybe there's just something

(43:14):
one little area in your a closet, a drawer, a
space in your office, something that you can declutter because
when you have mentally completed that project, or when you
have completed that project, you're gonna mentally feel better. And
I think that that is something that we should do seasonally.
So we should do that in the fall, We should
do that in the winter, We should do that in

(43:36):
the summertime so that when spring does come and maybe
it's not so much we have to do when spring comes.
Maybe spring is like finishing it all up right, not
trying to handle everything at one time. Maybe we declutter
and we do we do a cleaning and a reset
and all that stuff. Maybe we do that seasonally throughout

(43:57):
the year and then you know, we're done. So that's
just some of the things that you guys can like
do for your fall, for your fall reset, because remember,

(44:17):
like your fall reset, like the way I see it
grows is this is this is the time to like
make things more cozy. This is a time to really
like we are listen, we're gonna embrace self care all
throughout the year. But it's just something I don't know,

(44:39):
it's something about fall. Things should be cozier, things should
be calmer, things should be less hectic. Like thing cause summer,
you know, summers tends to be busy. A lot of
things happen in the summertime. A lot of movement is
happening in the summertime. You might have been outside over
this summer and then as fall come you might begin

(45:01):
to slow down. You might do have been doing most
of your traveling through the summertime, and so you were
doing you were busy doing this, and that maybe you
were putting in a lot of extra work over time
to have the extra for these trips that you were
taking over the spring and summertime. So I think that
fall is just a good point in the year to
like calm things down, you know, prioritize the self care

(45:26):
and those warm baths and that tea and those fall
goodies that you're gonna start baking. Listen on One thing
I do want to get into, y'all is I don't
know if this is just one of my random shenanigans,
but I wanted to bake some bread. I found the
I want to do something. I wanted some bake goods.

(45:47):
I want some baked goods. And that's not necessarily something
I'm going to do all the time, because, like you know,
we gotta stay snatched too. But I don't know. I'm
correlating bake goods, baking bread, fresh bread, warm bread. I'm
correlating that to the fall season and as something that
I think that I wanna, like add something different that

(46:09):
I don't normally do. I don't just sit around baking bread,
but it's something that I want to do, having fresh bread.
How amazing would that be to have some warm, fresh bread,
some apple cider, sitting down under your cozy little nit
blanket and watching something like do y'all not is that
vibe not vibing for y'all, So like, bake some damn bread.

(46:32):
Y'all don't want to bake bread. Listen, I found this
very cute, very esthetically pleasing bread machine. I'm gonna have
that on the I'll have that in my store front.
Which reminds me to tell you guys about the storefront
the new shopping list. But yeah, so I found this
bread maker, and now your girls gonna bake some damn

(46:53):
bread like I'm doing it. I'm going all in with it.
So this and look, there's one hundred thousand bread bakers
out there, Okay, so find whichever one you want. But
the one that I'm gonna have in the storefront very
nice reviews, top tier reviews. It just looks like a

(47:17):
breadmaker that I need in my kitchen. Anyway, a switch.
Speaking of Amazon, So you guys know I have a storefront.
You can get to my storefront in any my link tree.
It's on my website. But I have a I've added
a new shopping list and it's called I heard it

(47:42):
on the podcast or you heard it on the podcast
something like that. So anytime I talk about something specifically
that like a product or something like that or something
that I've added, I'm going to add it to that list.
Anything that I talk about on the podcast in terms
of an actual product and to put you all onto,
I'm gonna have it in that shopping list. So again,

(48:05):
it's gonna be I think I named it. I heard
it on the podcast. So I'm gonna put the bread
maker in there. I'm gonna put my favorite chunky knit
blankets in there. I'm gonna put this, Oh, there's a
there's a little oh the diffuser, This the oil diffuser
that I want to put you I want you all

(48:25):
to have. I'm gonna throw that on the list. So,
like I said, so just check in with me on
my Amazon store for and y'all see all the good stuff.
And I think I have those products linked in the
in the new blog too. So check out the blog.
There's a hundred ways to get to my storefront. Check
out the blog that's in the show notes. All of
these products are gonna be in that blog. Check out
the list that is on my storefront. I heard it

(48:46):
on the podcast. My link tree, my website, right on
the landing page of my website. Thoughts of a blog
Queen dot com. You can get to my storefront. I'm there.
I don't know if you can search shops on and
I never I don't. I don't know if you can
search me on Amazon. But it's shop of a blog.

(49:07):
Queen is the name of it. So but like I said,
it will be linked. Everything you guys need will always
be linked in the show notes. So yeah, I'm a
baked bread for the fall. I'm gonna break bake bread
and I think that's gonna be so dope. I'm gonna
feel really like homemaker ish and I'm a bake some

(49:27):
bread and I gotta find somebody at home and get
the damn bread too. My son will eat the bread,
I'm sure. But so that's just an example, y'all. That's
just like just I dragged it. But that's just an
example of how of one of the things that I'm
gonna try to do to you know, make my fall

(49:48):
season reset a little bit more cozy. Right, This is
a this is fallless. Is is a softer time. Like
if I had to describe this seasons, it's like summer
is a little bit more turned up, Summer is outside,
Summer is movement, Summer is travel, Summer is go go go.

(50:12):
But Fall for me, this is more like a softer,
more grounding version of like that New Year energy. Y'all
know when the New Year energy comes in and everybody's
all hyped, Oh new year, knew me type of deal. Well,
Fall is kind of like a softer but even still then,
like with the New Year, you're just kind of like, yeah,

(50:34):
I'm ready, let's go. I gotta knock out all of
this shit that I'm gonna do and do this, do this,
do this, new year, new me, new Year. I'm gonna
hit the gym hard, like okay, slow down, slow down,
slow down, Wait a minute, hold on, hold on. So
with the fall season less less, let's just let's make it.

(50:57):
Let's make it less like hold on, let's soften it up,
let's soften the vibe. Let's add some jazz. I want,
like I've I started listening to jazz in my work day,
like in my office, taking moments of the day to
like listen to jazz. But like for the fall season,
I want to like incorporate that, and I'm actually working
on a fall playlist. It's gonna give fall vibes some

(51:22):
kind of way. So if you're interested in that, of course,
you know, you have to check out my my all
of my playlists are in my Patreon and we're gonna
talk about that in depth a little bit more. But yeah,
so I'm gonna do like a fall playlist. I'm slowly
working on that because I want, like, how do you
do a fall playlist? I'm gonna show y'all how you

(51:44):
do a fall playlist. But yeah, so that's something that
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna I'm gonna have that, and
that's gonna be kind of like my Sunday self Care
self Care Sunday background music, y'all. If you don't know, like,
music to me is everything. I love music. I love
listening to music. I love everything about music. So for me,

(52:07):
I need a playlist for everything. Oh I'm hurt, I
need a playlist. I got a new man, I need
a playlist. I'm going to with my girls. I need
a playlist. I'm in my villain era. I need to
playlist for that. I was dating a Scorpio. I need
to play list for that. I'm digging this this Sagittarius,
I need to play list for that. I need to

(52:27):
play list for everything. A playlist is literally the soundtrack
of life. You can literally create your own soundtrack of
life by creating a playlist. Just do it, Just do it.
I think I posted it on my socials and somebody
commented on one of my because I think like one
of my self care tip of the day was like,

(52:48):
create a feel good playlist, and someone said, this is
the second time I've seen someone say, make a playlist.
I don't even know where to start. You don't know
where to start. Listen. I got, I got you. I
gotta play playlist for everything. I gotta manifesting playlist. I
got a toxic vibe playlist. Sometimes I want to hear
some toxic shit. Depending on how that man might have

(53:11):
made me feel, I might want to hear something toxic.
I gotta playlist for that. Sis, I gotta play list
for everything. Meet me in the lobby on my Patreon
if you know, you know, just saying, but yeah, so music,
so fall playlist incoming, things like that. Different things, intentional
things are gonna be the things that help you to

(53:32):
embrace your fall season. You're gonna cozy up to it
really well, it's gonna it just it's just I don't know,
it just feel warm. It should feel like Amber Fall.
The fall season should feel like Amber. Do y'all know
what I mean when I say that, because I probably
would say that to somebody else may be like, what
the hell are you talking about? Fall season is Amber? Amber,

(53:56):
marry gold, brown sugar, candles, blankets, Netflix series, baked goods,
cozy like cozy socks. We're switching over the vibe of
the robe. I got a fall robe? What's it I gotta?

(54:20):
I got? Well, the fun fact, I got a robe
for everything. A robe is like my home uniform. Okay,
I got a robe for everything. If you want to
buy me a nice gift, buy me a damn robe,
A candle, a robe. Those are things that I love.
And those are just little things as if somebody wanted
to surprise me with something, Like if I was dating

(54:42):
somebody and he came in the house with like, Oh,
I got you this robe. I saw this roll and
I knew you'd like it. Or I this lady at
work was selling these candles and it smell really good,
and I thought about you, and I know you would
like it. You do some shit like that. Listen, where
did brit a scrunchy at Let me chill, Let me chill,

(55:03):
let me cheer. This is not Patreon. It's not Patreon.
This is public. But that's how we get down over
and over in the Patreon. I'm just saying, meet me there,
but well you gotta meet me in a penthouse. We
ain't just we ain't just. We ain't just having fun
like that in the lobby. Were chilling up in the
penhouse talking like that. I'm gonna but relax, everybody, calm down.

(55:23):
We're gonna get to Patreon in a minute. So but
let's wrap this up. So your fall reset button, get
ready to hit it. We are when we are slowly
walking into it. It is still we still have very warm days,
but we are slowly approaching the fall season. So I
want you guys to get ready to hit that button,
and we're gonna reset things. So yeah, so don't forget that.

(55:49):
To check out the blog. You guys, read the blog.
That's gonna help you kind of get you in the
mind space a little bit. It's a little bit, you know,
it's just a fall, just me throwing some thoughts together
to help you to do this and to be intentional
about it. So check out the blog. Yeah, let's so,

(56:11):
But let's move along. Let's move along. I've already we're
getting ready to come up to the hour mark. Let's
talk about I do one thing I did wanna talk
about my trip. I'm not gonna tr I'm gonna try
to keep this. I'm gonna try to keep it short,

(56:32):
and of course I expand more over in the Patreon.
But yeah, so if you don't know, I think before
I think. In the last entry, I kind of touched
on I was wanting to prepare for my next solo
travel trip, but I actually did just go. So I
took a trip. I brought my birthday in, which my

(56:54):
birthday is at the end of July. I brought my
birthday in by doing a solo I went out to
myami City Girl, City Girls, City Girl, and I actually
I stayed downtown. I did not stay on the beach.
I was intentional about that as well. This wasn't my
first Now, this wasn't the first time that I've been
to Miami, but it was the first time that I

(57:15):
did a solo trip. Because this is only that was
only my second solo trip. So we are talking about that.
Mind you, we're still in the solo season series, so
we're still talking about all of those things and that
we can embrace some things that we can do in
the solo season. But I took a trip. I went
out to Miami. I had a fucking ball, y'all. I
had a ball. I don't know. I asked my coworker, well,

(57:38):
I think that was last week. I was like, it's
post vacation depression thing, because I feel like that's what
I'm feeling. I was missing Miami. I was missing Miami.
And the crazy thing about it, this this thought hit
me the other night. I was like, when I prepare
for these solo trips, I always have all this anxiety

(58:00):
about all of the things that could happen before I
actually even get there. Like, in the process of planning
it out, I'm always thinking about all of these things, like,
oh my god, I'm taking this solo trip. I'm going
by myself. This could happen, Da da da da. I'm
thinking about all of these things, y'all. When I was
actually in Miami, I didn't think about none of that shit.
I didn't think about any of it. I was thinking

(58:22):
about it was main character energy the entire time. When
I tell y'all that I was eating up my own
presence in Miami. I mean it was beautiful. It was
so beautiful to be in that space and like to
know that I did this for myself. I was intentional
about it. I went through with it because even when

(58:43):
I'm planning a solo trip, I'm always like, yeah, I
might not do it. I did that last year to myself.
I was like, just in case I don't go, I'm
gonna get the cheap ticket. Girl. I went. And then
I was at the concert up in the nosebad, like, God,
damn it, Why did I do this? Why did I
get a better seat to look at us? Sure, but
when I'm there, I wasn't thinking about any of the

(59:03):
things that I was worried about, all the anxieties that
we have, which it kind of like the funny thing
is like I'm kind of thinking like, oh my god,
I wasn't I thinking about that? Like that's how anxiety.
Anxiety is so fucked up, and that's what it does.
I'm thinking like, why wasn't I thinking about the fact
that this driver could have like you know, or whatever.

(59:26):
I'm not even gonna go there. But yeah, I wasn't
thinking about any of those things. I was simply giving
main character energy. It was amazing. I spent three nights there.
I brought my birthday and I went on a Wednesday,
and my birthday was on a Thursday. So I woke
up on my birthday morning and I had breakfast on
I was on the twenty eighth floor of the East
Hotel in Miami Downtown Miami, Briquel, I was on the

(59:50):
twenty eighth floor. The view was phenomenal, Okay, I was
so leveled with the sun rising, and I had ordered
so on my breakfast on my birthday, I ordered room
service breakfast. I sat outside on the balcony and I
had my breakfast out there with my shades on. I

(01:00:12):
watched the sun come up a little bit at the sky.
It was just amazing, you guys. It was a different
The air felt different. It was still hot, but you know,
it's Miami, but it was just differently, y'all. It felt
so good, felt so good to like be in there.
Like I got to just lay out in a bathing
suit three different times. I laid out at the pool twice.

(01:00:33):
I was out on the beach once. The bathing suits
were bathing suiting. Okay, the bathing suits were doing with
the baby bathing suits needed. I needed them to do. Okay,
I was I have been working home, my working, you know,
staying tight. Now I'm gonna tell I'm gonna be honest.
I'm not really like I'm not a gym gurly. I'm
not a gym girly, but I do do workouts at home.

(01:00:56):
I got all my little thing, which is why I'm
working on the studio downstairs. But yeah, like I was
working on my body. Body was body was body was Tea, y'all.
I'm not gonna lie. Body was Tea going on vacation. Skin.
My skin was thriving. I didn't have any breakouts or
anything like that. Like for me, I have to deal
with like hormonal breakouts, which is a bitch. But I

(01:01:20):
was so like, nah, I am not going to Miami
half stepping. I gotta have myself together. It was it
was how I wanted to look and feel going into Miami.
So when I tell y'all that body was Tea, skin
with Tea, everything was Tea. I made the decision. I
was going back and forth. I was like, do I
want to get braids? Do I want to get braids?
Do I want to get braids? Because like that's what

(01:01:40):
we do. We do vacation braids. But I just knew
that I wanted to be able to get to my
own scalp. I wanted to be able to like wash
my hair, and I knew that like for me, like
hairstyles and outfits, they matter, hair like they matter, and
there's just certain looks. I was like, no, I want
to like a little slick back look if I'm gonna

(01:02:00):
be at the pool. I don't really know if I
really want to have like these long braids that on
my back, So I might want to just do a
little slickback bun with my shades and my studs on.
And that's what I did. So I decided to not
get braids, and I decided to like make sure that
my hairstyle was in a way that I could still
access my natural hair. So I did find a good

(01:02:25):
little week, a little a little human wig that I
could uh toss on when I wanted to have that look.
But also I could do my slickbag, because we love
a good slickpack, don't we. Girls. So yeah, Miami was
Miami was everything. Laying out on that pool, I wasn't

(01:02:45):
thinking about I'm trying to like I was really trying
to like think about Was there ever a moment where
I was thinking about anything that was going on back home?
Was I worried about anything. I don't recall ever having
a moment of worry from the time I got there.
I'm talking about I left the airport, went straight too,
I was. I wasn't even far. It was like a
fifteen minute ride from the airport to the hotel. Got

(01:03:08):
to the hotel. Checkout I won't say was smooth. Checkout
was okay. A couple of things came up that I
had to like get straightened out, but other than that,
it was still very much, you know, smooth, with the
exceptions the the hotel clerk that I was dealing with.

(01:03:30):
She was really really nice lady, and I love that
she got some points from me because I actually so.
One of the things that I like I said that
made check in not smooth is because of the room
that I had. And I still had an amazing room,
but I didn't have the room that I thought that
I had, And that wasn't a them thing. That was
a mean thing. I didn't book it. I think I

(01:03:50):
thought that I booked it, and I didn't book it,
so I was trying to like get an upgrade because
I really wanted to have the room with the tub,
and she was just it's like telling me, she's like,
we don't somebody else just asked me that. She's like,
we don't have anything available. She was like, but come back.
She's like, I'm working tomorrow. Come back and check in
with me tomorrow, and if anything comes free and you're

(01:04:11):
ready to move, I'll take care of you. So I
thought that was really nice. And I was like, that's
just the one thing that I wanted for my birthday,
Like I want to my birthdays tomorrow. And she was like, oh,
you're a Leo. She said that, y'all know how we
do as Leo's. Y'all know we love, we love Leo's
love being Leo's there. You will not find a Leo
that's a Leo that don't love being the Leo. We

(01:04:31):
love to Leo and Leo's be leo ing. So when
she said, oh, you're a Leo, I was like, and
e is she said, very passionate and is very fiery
and is. I thought that was so cute that she
said that. Though it's very cute, I like people that
know a little bit about the zodiacs because that's something
that's entertaining to me. So as a Leo, I'm always

(01:04:54):
trying to, like, you know, share how Leo's are, but
an and I like to just read up on other
people's signs too. But y'all know how the Leo's are.
If you're Leo listening, you know, and if you know Leo,
then you know. We love a we love a birthday,
We love being a Leo. Somebody said, uh, I think

(01:05:16):
I seen something. I don't know if it was a
video for it was a comment that I seen on
TikTok and somebody was like, Leo's love being a damn Leo.
There was like, as a Leo, something you have has
a lion on it. I don't know if I told
this or not. I feel like I'm repeating myself, but
I thought that was funny as hell because I was like, oh, nope,

(01:05:37):
I don't have nothing with a lion on it. Cause
they said we love representing the lion, and I was like,
oh nope, I don't have them with a lion on it.
And then I was like, oh nope, yes I do, Yes,
I do. Damn show got some ear rings with a
line on it got me. Just got me a T
shirt the other day that said leo AF So yeah,

(01:05:57):
we definitely be representing. But anyway, I'm off. This is
how i'by running up these episode times I get to rambling.
But so yeah, back to Miami. Check in was cool
that the East Hotel. If you're ever in the market
for going out to Miami and you don't mind not
being directly on the beach, the East Hotel is phenomenal.

(01:06:20):
The setup is beautiful, the layout is beautiful. They have
a nice little bar. There's a listen this hotel. First
of all, it's connected to a mall. How convenient is
that you literally only have to go to the second
floor and go through some double doors and you are
right in the brickail mall, brickl City Center mall. I
did that the first day that I got there. After

(01:06:43):
I checked in, relaxed for a moment, came down from
the high of being there, I showered through on something cute,
and I went over to the mall. So you have that.
Then you have the on top of the on the
fortieth floor, on the very top of the hotel, you
have the sugar rooftop bar, amazing vibes. I'm surprised that

(01:07:03):
I only made it there one time, which was the
night my last night there. I made it there and
I did that to link up with a friend that
I met, so, y'all, I did meet a new friend.
I went. So I took a boat tour and I
just want to talk. I went on this boat tour,

(01:07:24):
and the boat tour was really nice. Is the first
time I've ever done something like that, not the first
time that I've been on a boat. I've been on
a boat a few times before, but that was the
first time that I ever did like a boat tour.
And I know y'all have heard about that whole millionaire's
row boat tour. You could see all the mansions and
stuff like that, So I was like, why not. It
was a reasonable price. I think it was probably like

(01:07:46):
I don't know, it might have been like thirty dollars
and probably could have been cheaper if I really would
have been intentional about looking like on group on or something.
But it was like thirty five dollars, I think. And
you can take if you know, you can get a
drink on the boat, or you can take your own
drink on there. So there was like this little stand
like where the I went down to. It's called what

(01:08:09):
is it called, y'all in Miami. It's oh my god,
I can't I can't think of the name. It's just
this area that has like all these bayside market I
think it's called Bayside Marketplace. So it reminds you of
like this upscale almost I want to say flee. Well,
a part of it is like a remind you of

(01:08:31):
like a flea market area because they have all these
little they have these little sections where people have their
little small businesses and their little tables and their little
tents or whatever set up. But it also has like
other stores out there, like I've seen a Claire's, I've
seen a whatever, other kind of stores, the sugar candy store.
It's just an area of town that is downtown Miami

(01:08:55):
that has all of this stuff in one area. Shops, restaurants,
different vendors, boat tours. It's right there by the bay,
so this is where the boat tours leave from. It's
just like all in this one area, food, all kinds
of thing, bars, live, entertainment. Just I mean I seen
a man with some parrots out there. You know what

(01:09:16):
I'm saying it was just just shit going on. It
was fun, it was lively. I got out there, I
got a frozen drink right before I got on the boat,
got on the boat, got you know, it was just
it was nice. We were listening to like the tour
guide and he was like, you know, doing his little

(01:09:36):
comedic timing type of deal and like explaining everything that
we were seeing, and it was just amazing. But there
was just a moment that I remember, y'all, that I
was sitting on that boat and I was looking out
at the water and I was feeling the waves just
kind of like just kind of this very subtle you
don't really feel it a lot, but just like the
subtle little rocking of the waves underneath the boat. And
I was just sitting there at a moment and I

(01:09:57):
just I just grounded myself in that moment to where
I didn't hear the tour guide, I didn't hear the
people that was on the boat, didn't hear anything but
like the outside and I felt the waves and I
just was sitting there and I just had this moment.
I was like, this is this is the lifestyle that
I want for myself. I want to be able to

(01:10:18):
do this at any time. I want to be able
to get up and take a solo trip at any time.
I want to do this whenever. I want to do this.
How can I create a life of this? What do
I need to do? This is where I'm at. Am
I okay with this. I'm taking this solo trip. I
don't have anyone with me. I didn't bring anyone with me.
I did this by myself for myself. This wasn't about
anybody else. This was about me. This trip was about me.

(01:10:42):
And that's where like the moment of that, like being
in that moment, that's where I was just like God, like,
this is what I want. This is what I want
to do. And so anything that doesn't align with me
being able to create a life that will allow me
to do this, talking about that's dating bringing someone into

(01:11:03):
my life. I can't bring somebody into my life that's
not going to beat that's not gonna be with this
this because this is what I want for me. So
I'm gonna make sure that I find somebody that wants
to align with, somebody that wants to do that as well.
I don't know if I mentioned like I think I
mentioned back. You know, I attempted to try to date
someone the first person that I tried to attempt to
date after my relationship ended. The first person when I

(01:11:27):
was ready with him, like his traveling wasn't gonna be
aligned with how I want to travel. So that was
already you know what I mean, It's like I need
something that's gonna align with that. So that was another
like tick on the side of the board where how
this might not work out for us, this might not

(01:11:47):
be the one, but I want this. This is what
I want in my life. I want to be able
to travel. I want to be able to bring someone
in my life that can do this for us, because
I can do this for myself. So I want someone
is going to be able to be able to participate
in things like this, someone that wants to do this,

(01:12:08):
someone that finds value in this, and someone that can,
you know, like add to this, because clearly I can
do this for myself. I can't do it as often
as I want to do it, but I can do
it for myself. So that's what needs to you know,
you got to be aligned with that, and we got
to be more intentional about how we are bringing things,

(01:12:29):
bringing people Does the shit make sense? Does this align
with what I want? Does this math math? Or? Am
I just doing stuff? Am I just bringing people in
my life? Am I just making connections in my life
just because that's what?

Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Just?

Speaker 1 (01:12:46):
You know what I mean? Does this make sense? So?
I had the time of my life to wrap this up.
I had the time of my life out in Miami.
It was amazing. I don't have any regrets about it.
I miss it. I would love to go back there.
It's very expensive. It's very expensive. They put a service
charge on breathing. You you want to breathe, a service charge.

(01:13:13):
Everything got a damn service charge. I forgot about that.
I remember that now from the times I went before.
I forgot all about that until I started getting there
and I started seeing a damned service charge on everything.
Damn y'all want a service charge? An a tip? Anyway?
So yeah, So solo traveling, if you have not done it,

(01:13:34):
I highly highly recommend it. And I'm still speaking from rookie.
I still consider myself to be a rookie at solo traveling.
I've only done this twice, y'all. Am I ready to
go out of the country solo? No, absolutely not I'm
not there yet. I don't know. Maybe I'll be there
next year. I don't know, but I don't know. I'm
trying to participate in like a girl's trip to go

(01:13:56):
out of the country for next year. I want to
do like Jamaica or something like that. But anyway, I
definitely recommend doing solo traveling, and I definitely recommend starting
out very maybe even start local and if you haven't
even done solo dates yet for yourself, just in your
own city, just a solo date. If you're scared to

(01:14:17):
do a solo date, listen, you're not ready for solo travel,
start off with doing solo dates. Y'all know. I've been
very intention intentional about doing that for the past year.
I take at least one solo date every month. I
do that. I go somewhere. It's a date for myself
with myself, by myself. I don't bring it up to anybody.
I don't let anybody know, Oh, this is where I'm
gonna be. If you want to combine, Nope, not doing
any of that. I don't want to do that. I

(01:14:38):
want it to be solo. It's a solo date for me.
So I do that once a month. If you have
not even done that yet, but you're like, oh, I
want to take a solo trip, but I'm just scared,
and you haven't even started with the dates. You're not ready.
Start off by dating yourself. Take a solo date a
few times before you even entertain the idea of going
on a solo trip. But if you're past that, and

(01:14:58):
you are. If you do do solo dates and you've
done it and you feel good about it, and you
continue to do it because you love it, you will
love solo travel. Listen, you don't have to worry about
anybody else's thoughts, opinions, running late, being behind, change your mind.
If you don't want to do shit for the day,
you don't have to do anything.

Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
Like you.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
It's all about you. You are the main character. I
ate up every moment of my trip. From the Spa.
I went to the SPA for my birthday. I had
a SPA day that morning. Then after the Spa, I
went right out there like I had private access to
the beach. After the Spa day, I sat out there
in my little white two piece bikini with my little

(01:15:36):
white shades and my little gold studs and listen, even
the gay man was out there and he was like, listen,
you better do what you're doing. Y'all know it's tea
when the gay man compliments you. Y'all know a p
clock and everything that we do, so you know, you know,
That's where I was at, and I ate it up.
I was like, and am I had an amazing time.

(01:16:00):
I had so much fun. I cannot wait until I'm
able to do my next trip because I loved it.
But yeah, it was just it was something about it.
It's like, this is what I'm doing. It was just
something about, you know, traveling through the airports and you know,
just going to different things. I did a dinner for
my birthday that night. I went to like this hookah

(01:16:22):
lounge and I had Lamb chops. I don't do lamb
chops very often, I don't, you know, but I indulged,
so I had Lamb lamb chopped dinner. I ordered myself
a hookah. I ordered myself my favorite drink, which is
a Moscow mule. I had that and I sat there
and my cute little white outfit that I had, and

(01:16:42):
I listen and it was I think what I found
to be interesting was that there were already two other
women who were there solo. They were already there having
their little hookah and their dinner and stuff like that.
And I seen I think I seen two more women
coming after the fact, just by themselves and have anybody
I don't want to ended up come. They just and
I was there long enough to see everybody come in

(01:17:03):
and leave, and I was just like, see this is
this is the this is the vibe. But it's like
it was a good environment. It's like nobody was there.
We was like these you can tell like these wealthy
I don't know what, like some of them might have
been Arabian Latin. I seen all kind of men, okay,
all kind of men, but they weren't bothering anybody. They

(01:17:25):
were there seemed like they were talking like the meetups
that I saw, they were talking business. They weren't you know,
they were in their in their zone. And I loved
that every place that you go to doesn't have to
shouldn't have to You shouldn't have to like worry about
men trying to hound you and be in your face
and disturb your moment. Everybody. It seemed like every woman

(01:17:45):
that was in there was just vibing, just having a
moment to themselves and nobody was bothering anybody. I seen
several black guys come in. They were having their mortal
moment to themselves. Everybody was just doing their thing. I
seen a couple of people they were on their laptops working.
It was just it. It's just one of those vibes.
They were just do you do you?

Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (01:18:03):
But I loved that it was sexy. It was like
it was just a vibe for me. And I loved
every minute of it. I loved getting dressed up for
that moment. I loved the fact that it was my birthday.
I love the fact that I was doing this for myself.
It was it was really nice. So that was That
was the my birthday night. So that was my second

(01:18:25):
night there, and like I said, I was only there
for three nights. The last night was the night that
I did the boat tour and all of that, and
I met someone. I met a female. I went to
this little like Mexican bar. It seemed to be very,
very lively. I saw a woman sitting at the bar.
I stood there for me and I'm like, do I
want to do this or I don't want to keep looking?
I'm like, mmm, no, I saw she had got a hookah,

(01:18:46):
so I was like, no, I think I'm gonna I'm
gonna do this. So I went and sat down at
the bar and I ordered the drink that I wanted,
and then I asked her. I asked her how much
her hookah cost and she I think she told me.
She was like but honestly, she was like, do you
want to just split this with me? And I was like, okay, yeah,

(01:19:10):
like that makes sense, right, the whole hookah. She's like,
we might have just like we might as well, like
it's a whole big old hookah. Wee, buddy, we shouldn't
have to, you know. She was like, yeah, we can.
We can share this. When she's like, I'll have her
to bring you another tip or whatever for the hoes,
and we can just we can just share this. And
that was the beginning of and I was like okay.

(01:19:32):
I was like, well, how much did you pay for?
And I gave her half. I gave her half right
then and there. I gave her half because like that's
you know, why not? So I gave her half. I
think she was kind of taken back why. She was
like kind of shocked. We had a lot of things
in common. Come to find out she's a LEO. To
her birthday, I think it's like five or six days
before mine, and she was there. It turned into a

(01:19:54):
solo trip. It didn't start out that way, so she
was kind of telling me what went on with that.
She went with her sister or her friend. I think
it was her sister. It wasn't supposed to be a
solo trip, but it ended up that way, and she
was like, she was like, you know what I thought
this was. So she was like, I do you know?
I manifested you. She was like, I told myself that

(01:20:14):
I was gonna be out here by myself after my
sister lives. She's like, I was going to meet someone.
I was going to meet someone out here that was
going to be real cool. I was going to meet
another person that was by himself and it was just
gonna be a really cool vibe. She was like, and
here you are. She's like, I manifested you. So it's like, y'all,
there's power in thought, you know. And the whole time

(01:20:35):
I was hoping that I was going to be able
to meet someone. It was a thought that had crossed
my mind because y'all know the last time I went
on my trip, I met someone, and so I was like,
maybe this, maybe this can be a thing, Like maybe
this is how new friendships will begin. I'm going on
these solo trips and maybe I'm meeting someone. So I'm
still in connection with the girl that I met when
I went out to New Orleans. And then I have

(01:20:57):
this new friend. Me and her were texting and we
checked in on each other last week, and I thought
it was so cool because I was like, listen, because
see here's this Leo shit again. We was like listen,
you know how Leo's just like listen. So we gotta
stay in contact because maybe we could do another trip together.
She's like, we gotta stay in contact, but we're gonna talk.
Let's get this cle Let's get this out the way
right now. You know, sometimes my communication might be delayed,

(01:21:21):
I might not check in as often as I want to.
And I'm like, girl, I'm just kind of like that too.
So we just need to have to understanding that. We
got to be intentional about staying in contact with one another.
We had a really good vibe. We ended up meeting.
She was like, so what are you gonna do? You know,
are you having any more plans. I was like, well,
this is my last night and I haven't made it
up to the rooftop bar yet, so I'm definitely after this.
When I get there, I'm changing my clothes and I'm

(01:21:42):
going up there. She was like, I will definitely come.
So I started showing her some of the videos so
she could see what the vibe was like, and she
was like, I'm definitely coming. And my girl showed up.
She showed up. We went up there. It was so amazing.
We had so much fun. We talked and talked and
talked and talked. We talked like we knew each other forever.
So I again, you never know what's gonna happen with

(01:22:03):
your solo trips, y'all. You never know who you're gonna meet.
It can be a beautiful experience. It can be very
worrisome before it happens, and you can have a little
bit of anxiety. Trust me, I understand, but it could
be a beautiful, a beautiful moment. Okay, so listen, if

(01:22:24):
you want any more of the details, I need to
move on from this because this is a long ass entry.
So if you want to hear more details about the
Miami trip. Y'all know, y'all got to meet me over
in Patreon, so which brings me into the Patreon plug.
Let's talk about that. Let's talk about the Patreon plug.

(01:22:47):
I actually know before we before we talk about the
Patreon plug, well, you know, I was gonna do a
little self care check in. But I kind of that
I told you guys about the app that I want
you guys to check out. That was actually gonna be
kind of like my little self care check in. But

(01:23:09):
I want to make sure that we do this. I
want to make sure that we do this within each entry.
I want to make sure that we're being intentional about
doing a self care check in. For me, it's been
a mix for me lately. Some days I'm on top
of my journaling and meditating and resting. In other days,
I'm just trying to keep my head above water, right,
I'm just trying to keep my head of the water.
But that's okay, because y'all know, self care isn't about

(01:23:32):
being perfect. It's about being honest with yourself and giving
your body and giving your mind what they need and
being intentional about it. So, like I said, what's been
working for me is always my usuals, my meditating, my journaling,
my I'm trying to watch more things that are that

(01:23:54):
that hold value to what I want to what I
want to do for myself. One thing that I've really
dove deep into in Patreon was I started watching, well,
I don't know. I kind of don't want to tell
y'all because I kind of want you all to meet
me over in Patreon. But anyways, we'll talk about it.
There's a show, a solo travel show that I've been

(01:24:20):
watching that I can't wait, and you might you might
already know who and what this show is, but I'm
referring to is. If you don't, I'm not gonna say
the name because you do have to come over in Patreon.
That is that is a Patreon exclusive, So if you
don't know, come on over there. But I've been watching
that show, so so that's what I mean. And like,
I watched that before I went on my trip, and

(01:24:43):
when I tell you, that gave me just the final
little boost that I needed to really be ready to
go on this trip and embrace and not worry about anything.
That was exactly what I need. It was a great show.
You might already know what I'm talking about you might
be able to figure it out. But so that's just
like some of the little practices and things that I'm
doing to like help me stay on top of things

(01:25:07):
like that while I'm in my solo season. So how so,
So be honest with yourself about how self care is
going for you, what things you can do. We talked
about the fall reset, We talked about solo travel, We

(01:25:30):
talked about use finding resources such as like the Fabulous app.
Those are things that you can do to kind of
just like just check in with yourself, but also just
like stay on top of how you how you want

(01:25:51):
your self care to look, how you want your routine
to be. This is a time when you're doing your
self care check in. You have to be honest about
it though, yeah, I hear mean, you have to be
honest about it. You gotta be transparent with yourself. What's
working for you, what's not working for you, what's bothering you,

(01:26:12):
what's helping you, what's relieving you. You have to be
transparent and remember that your self care isn't gonna be perfect.
It's not gonna always you know, it's it's it's not linear,
it's gonna look it's gonna be accustomed to you. But
it's not gonna always be perfect. There is going to
be ups and downs. Your energy is gonna be up,

(01:26:34):
and it's gonna be down. It's gonna be high, it's
gonna be low, there's gonna be just you know that.
But that's the whole I think that's the whole point
of having a self care check in, to highlight those
things so that you can address them. Don't let the
things that you know that you need to implement a

(01:26:56):
little bit more of your self care into. Don't let
those things linger. What can you do? Remember that self
care is about honesty and it's about intention. It's not
about the performance of it. It's it's just you. It's
just you. It's just you doing things for yourself. But

(01:27:19):
it's it's about the intention. I sorry, y'all. I one
thing that I like to do to check in with myself.
I try to like ask myself just just kind of

(01:27:40):
like just some gentle questions to kind of help me
to to journal different thoughts. But I just I try
to ask myself just to remind myself of where I'm
at and the things that I need to do. So
I might ask myself like what what brought me joy
this week? As cliche as in myself, but these these
are really things. These are really what brought me joy

(01:28:01):
or what brings me joy or what brought me joy
this week? What is something that brought me joy this
week that I can take into next week that I
can do again because I know that it's gonna bring
me joy. If you tried yoga for the first time
and after the session, you're like, oh wow, I feel amazing.

(01:28:21):
That brought me a lot of joy. Let me that
I might want to check into doing this regularly or
doing a yoga class once a month, something like that.
You know what I mean? Or what am I grateful
for today? Like I said, I like to start my
day with thanking God for yesterday today and thanking him
in advance for blessing me with tomorrow. So what am

(01:28:43):
I grateful for? How can I nurture my mental health?
What can I do? Does that mean like this month
I might cut back on how often my screen time
for social media? Am I going to stay off a
certain app? Am I going to only watch a certain

(01:29:04):
type of documentary or just whatever it is? How can
I nurture my mental health? Should I schedule just an
impromptu therapy session. I haven't talked to my therapist in
over a month now, so I definitely need to get
some time in with her. So that's something that I'm
gonna definitely do for my fall reset. I need to

(01:29:26):
get a therapy session in there. But yeah, like, what
can I do to nurture my mental health? What small
active kindness can I do today? Because I'm a big
believer in karma, y'all good and bad karma. I believe
that what you put out is what is going to
come out, is what is going to come back to you.
So I'm always trying to do nice things because I

(01:29:48):
want that energy to come back to me, and because
I find joy in making other people happy when I
know that I did something. So what small kind act
of you know, whether it be something maybe maybe I
had some and delivered and maybe I'm gonna tip in
a way that I don't normally tip. I'm gonna go
beyond that. I'm gonna go beyond, above and beyond in
the tip. It's gonna be a nice surprise for someone.

(01:30:10):
Maybe they didn't get any good tips all day and
maybe this one particular order they're gonna get a great tip.
Bless people do the type of things that you want
to come back to you. I want blessings. Don't about y'all,
but I want blessings. So if you want blessings, you
gotta put some bless You gotta be a blessing. Let's
just let's just say that. So anyways, so, yeah, so

(01:30:33):
you know, just check in with yourself from time to time.
Figure out when you're gonna do it. Set it be
intentional about doing us to check in. When are you
gonna do the check in? You're gonna do the check in?
I think you should be doing your check ins on
self care Sundays. Yeah, self care Sundays. Do a check
in what would to reflect on the week before so
that you know maybe where you can adjust some things

(01:30:54):
for the week ahead, what worked, what didn't work, what
to avoid, what to bring in, all the little things.
Do a self care check in with yourself every Sunday,
maybe before bed, maybe when you first wake up, at
some point during the day, maybe after you tune into
the podcast. I don't know, but yeah, what excuse me?

(01:31:17):
What can you do to check in with yourself and
just make sure y'all are make it a thing, y'all, Okay,
make it a thing, so I think should we No,
we're not gonna do it. We're not gonna do it

(01:31:41):
cause I wanna make sure that I have the links
for what I was gonna do. Anyways, y'all, that's before
we wrap up. I wanna just I wanna take a
second to invite you to my Patreon community. I told
y'all was gonna come back to this, but I wanna
take a second to invite you into my Patreon community.
That's where I show even more, y'all. There's exclusive journal

(01:32:03):
prompts over there, behind the scenes updates, so we got
confessions over there, unfiltered thought, early access to content. My
Patreon people knew about this episode before anybody else did.
They knew, they got all the highlights and snippets, They
know all that. They get all of this stuff over there.
We've got two tiers. We got the lobby for those

(01:32:25):
who want to just dip their toes in see what
it's all about. Well, there's actually there's three tiers. Because
you can you can come in as a free member.
So at the very least, y'all just come over sign
up as a free member in my community. Just come
over there, look around see what we got going on,
because then you'll start to get updates of the stuff
that's actually being posted. Right, But if you want to

(01:32:48):
come in and like actually come in and look around around. Yeah,
we have the lobby, so those for the people that
just want to dip their toes in, and then the
penthouses for those who want all the extras in the
little bit more spice. So like for for this episode specifically,
there were some journal I have a collection in there

(01:33:12):
for announcements and I'm sorry, y'all, let me sip a
little bit is water. But so my people over in
Patreon they got the Fall Reset journal prompts that I
dropped in there, So they're gonna help you to take

(01:33:35):
what we talked about today, all of the things that
we talked about with like our Fall Reset and things
like that. They're gonna help you to take those things
and apply it into your own life. So they get
those and not you know, so not only are they
getting little gems like that, they're getting monthly journal prompts,
they're getting some of the fun stuff that we have,
like in the free tier are like the self care

(01:33:55):
for the zodiacs sometimes will do like I mean, like, okay,
we have like block Queen Vanity in there, so like
exclusive products that I feel like are to die for that.
I'm just not gonna share all my public platforms like
I'm putting things like that in there. I have an

(01:34:17):
affiliate with a very I'm just gonna say it's good
for the women, very good for the very good for
the women. I have like an affiliation with them. And
so we talk about that up in the We're gonna
talk about that up in the Penthouse and all of
the things and you know, pleasure, self pleasure and all

(01:34:39):
of the things. It gets spicy up there. I'm just
gonna say it gets spicy. Any of my confessions, they're
gonna be up there in the pent house. All I
mentioned before my playlist, I drop all my playlists. Those
are in the lobby. And anything that you get in
the lobby, you will get. If you're in the penthouse,
you're gonna get everything that's in the lobby. If you're
just in the lobby, you're not gonna get access to
what's in the pent house obviously, but you'll get everything

(01:35:01):
that is intentional for the lobby. But when you come
on up to the Penthouse, you get a little bit more.
The next tier that I'm going to be working on
is going to be self care coaching, one on one
self care coaching. I wanted to complete a couple of
things before I add that tier. But you do have
the ability. If you're in the Penthouse and there's something
that you're working on, you do get like business bestie time,

(01:35:24):
we schedule it. If you there's a project that you
might that you think that I might be able to
help you with, give you resources, or whatever the case
may be. You have access to me. We will schedule
a call. I will help you with some things whatever
that may be. If it's or even if it's just
you have a small business and you want me to
promote something that you're doing. You have that access when

(01:35:45):
you are in the Penthouse, So I will promote you
for free whatever that is. Whether you want a social
media video, whether you want a blog. Right up, you
have the ability to have access to those things when
you become a member of the Penthouse. Again, the next

(01:36:05):
tier that will be coming on top of that, I
don't know what we'll call that. I feel like I
should have changed the names of some of my tiers,
but I figured it out. But we're gonna have self
care one on one coaching. So if that's something that
you're like, you know what. I want to implement this
and I want to be more intentional about it. But
I need a little bit more help. I need a
little bit more accountability. I got you. So that's gonna

(01:36:28):
be coming to Patreon as well. Everything I'm trying to
be very I'm trying to be very organized in my Patreon.
So when I tell y'all, we got collections for Days,
we got collections for Days. I got the Solo travelte

(01:36:49):
I got the journal prompts, I got what we watch,
and I got my Homebody Life, I got yoga. I
got everything, and I'm trying to and everything's not on law.
Every collection doesn't have something in it. But the these
are the things that I've been working on adding to
because I want Patreon to have so much stuff for you.
Patreon gets podcast episodes that no one else is gonna

(01:37:09):
hear unless you're in my Patreon community. We do Wednesday
night poetry Nights. There's a private podcast episode for that.
No one's gonna be able to hear that other than
the people that are in my Patreon community. So I'm
always throwing things like that in there for just my
Patreon people. There are exclusive blogs that are in there

(01:37:33):
that are not found anywhere else. You're not gonna find
it unless you're in my patreon. So if you're a
supporter of what I'm doing, and you believe in it,
and you like it, you love it, you find value
in it, you want to support me. You believe in
the vision that I'm building, and you believe in self
care and embracing it and highlighting it to its fullest
and prioritizing it, then you should be a part of

(01:37:55):
my Patreon community. It's a very cozy, extended community, safe space.
I want to build a community of people that are
not just there because oh they just seen me in

(01:38:19):
a feed and they like this video and then they
followed me. I want to go beyond my socials. I
want to build a community of people that actually want
to be here, that actually like to tune into the
podcast and they like the journal prompts, and they like
to hear my perspective on people. I want to build
a community of people that are invested in that. And

(01:38:43):
so that is what my Patreon is for the Patreon
is going to get the discount codes for the stores
when the store comes up, the podcast merch, all the
collections that are on my storefront, all of those things
you got, they're gonna get the promo codes. Probably I
won't say first. I probably say you will be the

(01:39:06):
only ones. Well, I mean, we'll see, but you'll get
them first. You'll get more. Patreon is going to be
not just something for you to come and just look
at me talk about stuff that I could have just
posted on my socials. No, it's deeper. I want to
get to know the people that are in my community.

(01:39:28):
I want you guys to write me. I want you
guys to tell me things that you want in the community.
You guys can tell me these things. You guys can
email me, blog Queen podcast at gmail dot com, if
we're connected on social media and message me tell me
the things that you want. This is about me serving

(01:39:50):
my community, and I want to do that in the
best way. We're gonna get digital, digital download, We're gonna
do all of the things. There's a self care I'm
working on self care Sunday journal packs. My people in
the Patreon are gonna get those for free. It's you
know stuff like that, you guys are gonna get all
of the things that I feel like you should get

(01:40:13):
for investing in my platform because I love I love
y'all real bad over there. I love all of my
all of my supporters. If you're listening to this and
you're not in Patreon, I love you too. It's not
about just oh, I just love the no I love
everybody that supports the platform. Thoughts of a Block Queen
literally started out as a blog column on one of

(01:40:34):
my websites and has turned into something way bigger. It's
turned into a podcast, it's turned into merch it's turned
into a Patreon community, it's gonna be turned into a
book like it's it's gonna go well and beyond. And
I hope that you find value in these things that

(01:40:54):
I'm that I'm producing. It's I do these things with
love in everything, and I do unders do it just
to throw something out there. I do it because I
really want to provide you guys with something, and I
really want you guys to make sure that you're always
putting yourself first as much as you can because I
lived it. I lived in that time where I couldn't

(01:41:15):
put myself first. I sacrificed myself. I ignored my own boundaries,
I let myself go. I went through depression. I've been
through all of the things. And in those low moments
are the times where we neglect our self care the most.
When life gets stressful, when things are hurting us, when

(01:41:36):
we're going through a heartbreak, we're going through rocky times
and relationships, we lose a friend, work is stressful, family
is being toxic. Through all of these times in our life,
they're very pivotal moments, right, and so these are the
times where we will lack the self care that we need.
We will forget about ourselves because we have let whatever
else is going on consumers. And so my platform is

(01:41:58):
an effort for you to remember that everything that is
going on in your life, regardless, it's gonna be there
and you're gonna work your way through it one way
or the other, you don't have to sacrifice your self
care in those moments. If anything, through those tough moments
is where you should amplify your self care. You should
be able to feel good no matter what. You should

(01:42:20):
be able to feel good about things that you're doing
for yourself. No matter what. I want my platform to
speak to women and to be You know, I'm always
talking about writing a love letter to yourself, right, this
is my love This platform is my love letter to women.
This platform is my love letter to women because I
want you guys to know that I actually care about

(01:42:42):
how you see yourself. I actually care about how women
because listen, I feel like when you're nicer to yourself,
you're nicer to others. It's true. It's true. When you're
nicer to yourself and you love yourself a little bit more,
you're a little bit more pleasant out here in the world.
And so when we have to come in contact with

(01:43:03):
you and you got all this other shit going on,
you're not putting that out on us, You're not taking
it out all us. You're less likely to do so
when you're taking care of yourself and you're loving on
yourself and you're going through your healing, you're embracing your
healing season. That's another thing you know that I talk
about actively because I feel like I'm still on my healing.

(01:43:25):
I'm in healing for a couple of years. But listen,
I'm one of those people who believes that like healing
is never stops once you have to heal from something,
I think that you always, especially when it's something like
big life changing thing that came into your life, shook
your world up and broke you down and broke your

(01:43:45):
heart into a million pieces, and you have to recover
from that shit. And you mean to tell me that
I'm gonna do that in three to six months? Are
you crazy? No, Healing is something that's gonna take time.
And even then, you're never gonna forget what happened. You're
never gonna forget what we win through. You're never gonna
forget the feelings that you have. So that's why I'm saying, like,
you know, I want us to embrace our self care

(01:44:09):
and I want us to it to for it to
be second nature, for it to just not be something
special that, Oh I gotta do that one day, I
gotta do that. No, do that every day? Do that
every day? Do this every day? Do this routine every
single day? Or do this every week? Or do this
every month. My solo dates have been going strong since

(01:44:31):
the last Actually, yeah, we're coming up on a year
of me being of doing of me doing a monthly
solo date. I think Actually, I want to say.

Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
July.

Speaker 1 (01:44:46):
Kind of the technical date would have been July, but
I'm actually gonna just take it so far as to
say September. We'll start with September. So next month will
be a year of me doing my intentional solo dates
every month, and they're on my socials. I'm posting them,
so I'm not just talking about this stuff. I'm actually

(01:45:09):
doing it. And that's the thing. I'm not just blowing
smoke and just saying stuff. I'm living it. I'm living it.
I'm doing it. I'm applying it, I'm maneuvering through it,
I'm figuring it out, I'm getting resources and d I'm
bringing all this stuff back to you, Cause that's what
a podcast, that's what a community, that's what a self
care coach, that's what a life coach. That's what a friend,

(01:45:31):
that's what a sister, that's what a woman to woman
should be able to do. We should be able to
provide value to one another through different things. And so
this is my way of giving back to you guys.
So again, if you have not come over to my Patreon,
join as a free member. Shout out again to the
people that are already over there with me. Join as

(01:45:52):
a free member. See what we got going on, look
around and just see we're going to I think I
think I have a lot of things already schedule, but
I think Foreptember, September or October. I don't want to
put it on September just yet. September or October. We're

(01:46:14):
probably gonna do a lot of free drops, free member drops,
because some of the things that you might find in
the lobby will drop those as free. So come over
there and sign up. There is an app for Patreon.
You can definitely don't have to download an app. You
can definitely go into Patreon through your browser, but I
highly recommend you guys get the app. I'm gonna have

(01:46:37):
all of that in the show notes as well. And yeah,
I just want to see you guys over there. I
want to see you guys over there. And here's what
we'll do. Let me see, this is very spontaneous. Here's

(01:46:59):
what we'll do. Come over to my YouTube. Comment on anything,
any video, any short or any post in the community.
Post on my YouTube. I will have my YouTube or
I'll either have my link tree in the show notes
that you guys can get to all of this stuff.

(01:47:20):
But come and comment on any short, any video, any
community post, comment something like I came from the podcast.
The first two people that do that. This is YouTube, y'all.

(01:47:41):
This is not Instagram, t no YouTube. Come over to
my YouTube. Subscribe to my YouTube channel, which is for
just us, the click of a button, hit subscribe, and
then go to any video, any short, or any community
post and say I'm coming from the podcast. The first

(01:48:02):
two people that do that, when I get the notification
for it, I'm going to gift you with the free
month of Patreon access. I'm only doing this for two people,
and it's gotta be the first two, and you have
to subscribe to the to the YouTube channel. Subscribe to

(01:48:25):
the YouTube channel, find something to post on and say
I'm coming from the Patreon I'm coming, I'm coming from
the podcast, or I heard you on the podcast something
like that mentioned the podcast, and I'm gonna gift you
with a free free access to the Patreon community. Okay,
so that's I I didn't even have that in the notes,

(01:48:47):
but I'm gonna do that because that's what I want
to do. I want to get you all over there.
So let's wrap this up, y'all. This is a hell along.
This is a This is too long, y'all. This was
too long. You might have to listen to this in
two parts. We're already put We're already over an hour
and a half. An hour and a half is crazy.

(01:49:10):
But I had a lot to catch up on a
lot to talk about, a lot to fill you guys
in on just a lot that I wanted to touch on.
We talked about our mornings, we talked about our fall reset.
I wanted to highlight solo travel again for you guys,
and of course our self care check in. So I
just want you, guys to take one step forward towards

(01:49:32):
your own reset. Do something again, even if it's something
very small, Do something again to amplify not only your
morning routine, but also take a step, take a step
towards your own reset. Don't forget about Patreon, all the
exclusive things that you guys get over there. If you're

(01:49:55):
tuned into this wherever you're listening at, don't forget to subscribe.
If you're listening to the podcast right on Apple Podcasts,
subscribe follow the show. I forget what they call it,
but subscribe to Apple. And here's one last huge favor
that I need for you guys to do. If you
haven't done this already, I need you, guys. If you're
tuned into the podcast on Apple, if you have an iPhone,

(01:50:15):
there's a podcast app that you're probably listening to this on.
You might be listening to this on Spotify. I'm not
sure how you're listening to this, but if you're listening
to me on Apple Podcasts, you guys, I need you,
guys to drop a review, rate it and drop a review.
Let me know what you liked about the episode. Let
me know what you're looking forward to. Just let me

(01:50:38):
know that you were here. Leave a review. I stopped
pushing for reviews a long time ago, but the reviews
help me to move my podcast up in visibility and
rankings and things like that. So the more I can
get you guys to rate and review, that helps me

(01:51:00):
out a lot. And again, that doesn't cost you anything
to drop a review. So Spotify and Apple podcast listeners,
please help your girl out. Drop a review, drop a rating.
I would love to see that you let me know
what episodes you tuned into. If if this is the episode,
just tell me what episodes you tuned into. Let me
know what you liked most about it. Let me know

(01:51:21):
one gym you pulled from this entry that you're going
to try to take with you. But you guys, I
appreciate you guys so much. I love y'all so bad.
I love y'all real bad. I really do. I love, love, love,
love when I get feedback from people. I love when
people look forward to hearing me. I love when they
come back and they let me know what they loved

(01:51:41):

(01:52:27):
all of that linked over there, but I'm gonna be
solely posting blog queen blogs on the news site.

Speaker 2 (01:52:34):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:52:34):
Everything will be on the new site again. I just
dropped a fall reset. I dropped we got what do
we have coming up? We'll touch on this again, but
we got Black Girl Day off October eleventh. Don't forget
mark your calendars. And actually I think that this year
that falls on a Saturday. Take the friday. Mm hmm.
Take the friday because if you already got saturdays off,

(01:52:55):
it don't count. Take the friday off. Okay, so we're
gonna we're gonna come back to that. But yeah, black
Girl Day. Black Girl Day off is October eleventh. This
is our holiday for us. This is a time for
us to prioritize our mental health. I want you guys
to do it. Take the day. Take the day, and
it's for sex. It's I think. Let me look at
the calendar real quick while I'm talking about it, because

(01:53:16):
I really think that October eleventh is a Saturday. Definitely,
Wait is it? Yeah? Definitely, it's definitely a Saturday. So
take October tenth off. Take October tenth off, use a
personal day and do something with yourself, for yourself, by yourself,
self care for prioritizing it. October eleventh, y'all, don't forget.

(01:53:41):
Is that it is? That all I got? I think
that's all I got. I enjoyed this so much. I
needed this. I appreciate you guys for tuning in. I
love you guys so much. Thank you, thank you, thank
you a million times over. Thank you. I love you, guys,
and I look forward to coming back for our next entry.
Don't forget. We only have a couple more episodes left
of the solo series and then we're gonna move in
is something different. We're gonna get out of the solo

(01:54:02):
season energy, and we're going to just you know, a
