All right, let's jump on in.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
We got to start with this. Well, you are rocking
that letter sweater. Excuse me, you are rocking that That
is that is retro throwback. It looks great on you.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, and I.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Think it's like you look like the the young grads
and the old lads, brad like coming back. That's when
it came back to the university and had a wonderful
time nineteen forty and seven.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I tell you, sweater, I tell you boys, we're gonna
gout there. We're gonnaet him, get theim, get them, that's
what we're gonna do it. We're gonna to me to
beat him. Now, let's go out there and represent.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
That's a good looks.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
They were these that honor recruiting. There a lot of
new I did letter potential letter winners. Now I did
you go, young men, here's what the sweater looks like
when you get here, come here, have a nice first season.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
So when I was when I was debating, because this
studio is always cold, when I was debating what to
put on, I looked up and I had like four
sweaters like they're in a little cubby, and this one
was on the bottom. And I go, man, I have
not worn that a lot. I said, I'm celebrating recruiting.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
You should be.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I want to celebrate recruiting a.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Lot of ways to celebrate recruiting wearing the letterman sweater.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Wasn't Tony, the game you complete last night earned you
a letter? Yeah, now you can support the letterman sweater.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah. Letter ten games into the basketball season, he's his letter.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Next next time I come in here, when to wear
raccoon skin coat? All right, So let's put this thing
into perspective. Well, man, we got a lot of we
got a lot of phlem a lot of nasal congesting.
The microphone on and off really quick here so we
don't cough in your ear. So a couple of historic

(04:06):
events took place yesterday, one in football and one in basketball.
And the basketball one we alluded to, and that was
the copp And State coach got run at an unprecedented
quickness that we've never seen before. As far as we
can go, John Cheney got thrown out with a couple

(04:27):
of minutes to go in the first half of a
game here when West Virginia played Temple. I remember it
was a Saturday afternoon game. Phil Bova rang him up,
threw him out. Another guy was Tom Chapman, had a
short lived career as head coach at Saint Bonaventure. I
remember they had hired him from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania,
because he had won a ton of games. Never got

(04:47):
it going at Saint Bonnie. He got run in the
first half, but those were all with about three or
four minutes to go in the half. The Larry Stewart
ejection with his team up, I think they were up
eleven to nine. He lost his noodle early in the game,
and it was like, WHOA did that just happen? You were?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
You and Brad were just priceless on the call.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
How we we report? We let people decide?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
No, you were?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
You were?

Speaker 3 (05:12):
You both were stunned, and you were the fact that
you were all amazed and Tony, you were almost in
historic proportions. Now now here's what you said. No, now
he's not leaving the courts.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
He didn't even he turned back a couple of turnbacks.
Normally like once it once it fizzles out to start exiting,
he turned back a couple of times. There was a
moment where I thought, just gonna get real interesting because
he not leaving.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, that was interesting.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I was waiting for the next things jew to folks,
I was listening to you, not watching it when you'd say, now,
now security has come in, but it didn't.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I almost wonder if if Ross had a hand in that.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
What do you mean by that?

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Well, not too much before that, Ross was really giving
it to one of the officials. Yeah, like really giving
it to the point I thought Ross was asking for one,
and Ross didn't get technicals very often.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Again, I think there was some messaging by the head
coach last night to his team, kind of channeling it
through the official. But I'm really yelling at you, guys,
might yell at official because the official stared at Ross
a long time, and Ross was very demonstrative and like
given examples of what he thought was happening there, right,
and the official was very patient. Well, that was the
same official that ended up knocking out a couple others.

(06:20):
So I just wonder if there was some residual effect
that that guy's thinking. I mean man, we're six minutes
and I'm getting it from both sides here. Someone's not
sticking around like someone I'm not going to make it
through here.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You know, when you have the big rivalry showdown with
coffin State, anything could happen.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, wow, it was.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
That was out. And the other piece of history, obviously,
is the recruiting class.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
I was anxiously looking forward to this because to this
point you could see the names, but they you could
just tell when you were talking to those guys that
like if it were a card game, they had five
cards inside inside their sleeve like they had they they
just had him like right here, you know, and they

(07:02):
just like those old Western movies like Little by Lil
He's going to pull one out. I knew they had
cards in their sleeves. And then they go out there
and they get some kids that a lot of people
didn't think that they were going to get. And it's
raised the profile of this recruiting class. You know, top
twenty five. I think ESPN's got them at thirty, at

(07:23):
whatever number you want to equate to it. The fact
is that they got four four stars.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
They've got a.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Ton of new players, which opens up a whole nother
conversation as to how much of a roster flip is
going to go on because guess what now, Conversations start
with the guys that are here and we're on last
season's team, as to okay, this is where we think
you are. It might be you might be better off
going somewhere else. It might be, hey, we're going to
take care of you because we want you, or it

(07:52):
might be hoppy, we paid you X last year. Now
it's going to be X minus twenty thirty four forty
fifty percent. If you want to stay, you can. If not,
we understand that happens now that's a heck of a job.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
We won't go into this today, we'll get into it
later on, but that's a heck of a job by
a lot of people to pull this off. That is,
that's a lot of moving parts going on. Think about that.
Recruiting has always been a lot of moving parts, and
now you add in salary offers, contracts, dealing with agents,
people coming in. Last minute. I mean, you saw West Virginia.
You mentioned those flips at West Virginia got which people

(08:28):
that follow recruiting and fans, we still love those last
minute flips. Right, that's the drama. But you know what
else is also happening, hopy other schools are trying to
flip your guys. Yeah, so you're not the only It's
not just West Virginia's out there by itself trying to
flip people. So you're also trying to hold on to
guys that you felt pretty good about. That's just a
lot going on in that room, and that's a tremendous
job top to bottom, from a general manager all the

(08:51):
way down to all the other administrative folks that get
involved in that and coaches. Obviously, it's a.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Good point because think about this and the old days
it was the football staff was doing this recruiting. So
you enter into the whole new element of your general manager.
And Chuck Lilee's the WVU general manager, and it comes
on to him at the very end when there are
guys that are still deciding which way to go, like
he's having the conversation, has had conversations with these player

(09:19):
representatives and these agents all along, so he literally is
fielding calls up to the last minute, like what's the deal,
what's the deal, what's the deal?

Speaker 2 (09:27):
And he explained the deal and go through the contract
with me, and some of the players had lawyers on
there saying, okay, I'm not just taking a coach's word
for it here. Somebody walked me through this contract and
Rich said it publicly. But they were working till every
bit of two of three am the other night on
the phone, like not just in the office, hop doing
so on the phone, having conversations till mid morning. They're

(09:48):
trying to get deals done.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
And Penn State got which which by the way, unique.
They're going into the year without a head coach, just
like see what happens sees somebody step up, got plucked
like a deer carcass along I seventy nine.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Now did they drop football?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Well, they're still playing?

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Are they still what they are?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
They're still going there?

Speaker 2 (10:05):
They are.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
They're having a team next year.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Now they got to hire a head coach.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
I think they do need to get that done.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
I think where they're waiting or waiting till after bowl season.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
I saw, I mean, well this is this is not
they're bumbling around and everybody they're bumbling around helped West
Virginia helped. Westsia rolled in and got two of their
most high profile.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Recruits Sig was a late that was one of the biggest.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
It was a late ad and Brown obviously was all
the attention came with Brown earlier. That's two big boys
that West Virginia just pulled out of there. And so
it would be interesting to watch here in a couple
of years and just see where those guys go, what
their path looks like. That could obviously become even bigger
than what it seems right now.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
And James Franklin's charter bus that went from State College
to Blacksburg, they probably I don't.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Think you can overstate the significance of the Penn State
decision to fire James Franklin. It is breathtaking how it
has spiraled and sent after tremors throughout the entire college
football landscape, and why because they lost hope got them they.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Lost hope and got emotional and got emotional about that,
did a lot of reading of Twitter, it appears, and
got emotional about that. And I'm not sure what their
plan went. And listen, I'm obviously not close that situation,
so I'm not going to say too much here, but
what was the plan? What did you think was going
to happen after? If you want to get rid of
James Franklin. Okay, we can debate all we say this

(11:30):
all the time. You can debate all the time whether
you should fire the coach or not. But what was
your plan after that? It appears there wasn't much of one.
And now they're in full on scramble mode. I mean,
now you're just a quarterback running around back there with
the ball hanging out there hoping you don't fumble, and
today have fumbled twice and picked it back up and
you're still running. They are a mess.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
And the timing of the Franklin firing meant everybody swooped in,
had every people had three months to go after those guys, well,
think about it, to decimate the recruiting class.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
AT's see Kevin Brown are now mountaineers because of that decision.
Just think about the significance of that. And this could
go down as one of the all time great yaks
as far as athletic administration goes by their decision to
make the move without having the other bird in the hand.

(12:20):
And now this, how's this thing going to play out?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Well? I think, and again, this is what you do
on recruiting day. You project forward and we'll see how
this ages what I'm about to say. But it has
the potential they're bungling around on the search, has the
potential to really change the fortunes of two programs. Like
we'll see what Virginia Tech does, excuse me with Franklin
and what they get. We'll see what Brown and Seeg

(12:43):
look like as mountaineers. But that could really change the
face of two programs based on their inability to get
a coach.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah, so I got a scouting report on Sieg. Yeah,
so he's from Fort Cherry High School. Well that's all
my wife's family is all Fort Cherry people.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
So Joe Comedie probably was involved in process.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
My sister in law he can really play, Sister.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Mark.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Sister law I said he can really now. She she
also she had Tyler Pelkoe too when he was at
West Delleghany. Okay, a pray. She told me to Tyler
pelco he can really play. So she's got the same thing.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
The endorsement.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yeah, that was that was a national story.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
That was a breathtaking That was a breathtaking decision in
the recruiting world because these guys all line up and
they think this is what they have and he went,
like psych West Virginia, They went, those are good to have.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
You needed to have those.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
You needed to make ripples in this recruiting class for
West Virginia. Obviously, after how the season went and then
how Saturday went, you needed to make a name mark
for yourself. And they did.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
And Tony, I don't know, I don't know what the
dollars are, but you would imagine I would think that
w VU football holding back on somewhere between four and
six million dollars in rev share money. This talent this
fiscal year played a big part in the ability to
land some of these guys.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Absolutely did. They didn't run out of money, right, Absolutely,
they had extra and they went and they went and
used it. So now you got to do it all
right now.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
By the way, the fellows over there would certainly take
any calls from companies wanting to do nil deals as well.
This would be a good time if you're interested and
have a business and would like to get involved, because
in all seriousness, what that does is the more you
can get in nil dollars offset some of that rev
share and listen, the shopping's not done. This was just
the first wave of shopping. The all important transfer portal

(14:36):
is coming here soon, and you're going to be back
to market there as well. You know, Brad, it is
and you will be back to market.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
I think though, this recruiting class gives you, gives you
a sense that they're trying to do they're trying to
build a base, because remember last year they came in late.
So now what they get for how many guys?

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Forty?

Speaker 3 (14:56):
So I'll get more into that Nobby's observations.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
But we still have and he gotten obvious observations yet
kind of jumped ahead, But that's okay if you're in
the Charleston area. Two. Yeah, gosh, it's tomorrow already, Friday,
December the fifth. We are at the Charleston Marriott. Things
starting nights. I had just heard about that earlier this year.
I'm stunned. Fifty years I've never heard it pronounced the

(15:20):
way you're about to heard this Marriott. Mary Ott says,
don't pronounce it Marryott. They say it's Myriad marriat Marriott.
That's screw.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
I can't do it anyway.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Tomorrow night we're at the We're at the Charleston Marriott, Marriott,
and we're going to do a an event with Rich Rodriguez,
among others. It's the football Signing Day celebration. It's a
big dinner and we're gonna watch video and Rich is
going to talk about these student athletes that are coming
to West Virginia. There are a limited number of tickets

(15:51):
now available. If you go to w u v U
sports dot com slash FB Signing Day, wv sports dot
com slash FB Signing Day, you can get in there
and there are individual tickets you can buy. You can
buy a table, whatever it might be, but there are
a limited number of tickets. They're also we'll talk about

(16:13):
this more, but there's live auction. It's got a Mark
Boulger you said, helmet, a Coal Rush helmet. I mar
the market signed.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Have one of those sweet throwback the old gold and blue.
There's the helmet right there.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Tell me, oh yeah, that's it. So that's the one
Mark signed that is now open for a live Go
to the website and there's one of those throwback jerseys
that they're going to. You can auction. Live auctions going
on right now and all the money goes to Championship
Resource Fun.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Through Golden Blue Enterprises. This was going to be a
fun event. Anyway, this will be this is I think
it's built as a celebration. This will be a true celebration.
A high step, I think risking a high step. He's
going to be like that Ohio State man guy that
comes in there. I think that's how he's going to
enter the room, Like, can you know I'd be up
there saying please welcome head coach Rich Rodriguez.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
He's going to come in with the All right, let's
do this, wouldn't you? Oh yeah, absolute, Let's clarify. We
got Hoppy's obvious observations. We need Jake, if you would,
we got more graphics. Last time on the show, Hopy
got upset because someone made an AI image of him
and he had them in a military outfit and it

(17:15):
had a bunch of medals on there, and even though
it was a AI generated thing, Hoppy did not want
it to appear that he had served in the military.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
So we brought it up.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
It was valid.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
They fixed it. So they just meed you that's better.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
That's better.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, there's another one. There's another one with the white
hat had different hat, different hat, but it doesn't he
like the white hat with that the white hat does
look good. And also go ahead steering one of those
boats that Lou Wendell. There's another one that's pretty good too.
Reporter's notebook lip bomb and uh, you know it was

(17:51):
a good good look.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
That's not bad.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
And then this one here just a big big can
of save for his lips. So we're not sure what
we're gonna do with all these images. But I do
know this, that's right.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
But that things we already knew. You know what it is?
Bomb ready? He yet.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Captain Kerchieval, Yeah, is ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
I got a lot too. I'll try to get through this.
On recruiting, remember that Rich did not get to do
high school recruiting last year. He was Higher Brad two
weeks after the recruiting period. So this is his first
signing class. And we've talked about this. I won't go
into great detail, but a quick scan shows it looks
like it was a pretty good class. I told the
Matt Siggs story is a big story. I mean, he

(18:48):
was thought he was going to be Pinn State, and
Pitt and Virginia Tech, Indiana, Notre Dame all wanted him,
and Sigg said he wants to play both sides.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Of the ball.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
And I'm sure when you're recruiting can say you can
play both sides, you can pub do you want to pun?

Speaker 1 (19:00):
You can punt.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Rinch has been foreshadowing that for about seven months talking
about more players that play both sides, so plays right
into that.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah, and they got guys from all over all over
the country brand. You know, it used to be don Neelnson.
I'm going to draw a circle around southwestern Pennsylvan eastern Oho.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Now it's just everywhere.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Yeah, same same money all over the country, work.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Currency exactly.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Maybe even now some euro dollars or some Australian money.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
There is another Australian punter. Thank god, I mean that
has worked out really. Thank god you apologized that one
day in all way, because that is that has really
reopened that pipeline that was absolutely almost cemented about the dude.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
He's two hundred and thirty three pounds, which mean's going
to be a man. I kind of like that a lot.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Well, Rich wants guys that can play both sides, so
this is perfect. He can punt or line up as
the full back in short.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yard is situactly and I'm glad to see that Rich
Rod met the international requirement to now exist that you
have an Australian punter.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, so you got that. Well, the straws still come
around since there's an Australian hunter A one good question. Well,
we're not going to see them as much. I don't
think it's out of the realm possibility. They'll pop in
once a year.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
That would be nice.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
All of his girlfriend doesn't she live up in pa there, right,
so they've got to come.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Back around for that, Tony, I'm waiting for your call.
When Chris Ridley fake punts and breaks the first tackle.
Now Reriddlely at sixty three two thirty three breaks hock,
I'll put the hammer down.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Greg Hunter has done a lot of research on this
and he reports and this is important to keep in
mind because everybody's except everybody had a great recruiting day,
right except Penn State. That typically about forty five percent
of your recruits pan out, Okay, about forty five percent.
If you get up around sixty percent, you've absolutely nailed it.
So we need to keep that in mind. Again, this

(20:44):
I did.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I thought i'd do this, and those numbers might be high.
Now strike like those Yes, that's historical. Yes, and I
think we're in a different age here that number might
be high.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Anyway, go ahead, Okay, So I went back to rich
Rod's first reading class in Western how about this just
to see because not everybody pans out and you look
there and you go, I don't remember half of these guys,
which is a good reason. But his first recruiting class
because remember he came in actually November was when he
was hired because it was you know, heir apparent and

(21:17):
then back then you didn't have or the early didn't
have early signings, so it was not until February, right,
absolutely right, So his first class, Jamal Adie, it worked,
That worked, tied in Josh Bailey, Mark Well Henderson had
a solid sophomore year, kind of tailed off. This stands

(21:37):
out offensive lineman Travis Garrett from Grafton and Garon Justice
from Gilbert.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Became a really good play really good players.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Nucleus coach now nucleus of that two thousand and five team.
On the offensive line, Anthony Mims.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Was offensive back. I'd take a few of him. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Defensive end Ernest Hunter played forty.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Ernie the Big Cat Hunter played forty. Saved Michael Forgal's life.
That time.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Great job defusing a locker room situation.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Down yea, yeah, And that was the that recruiting class.
And again back then it was god stayed four to
five years. So that was the nucleus of that two
thousand and five team that went eleven to' one. Of course,
they also had Pat White and Steve's late.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
And later on.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
But point being is that there will be some guys
in this class that you never hear about again, and
some guys I think that in a couple of years
you'll go, wow, these are institutional players, right, I mean,
some will.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Be here for a while.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Okay, So that the basketball game last night, you guys
were highly entertaining in the first half. The second half
of our job.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
I mean, I don't know why we were not trying
to be highly entertaining.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
And it's a game.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
We're just reporting what's happening.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
As you said, Tony, the first half of the first
half was just quote unquote kind of weird. Yeah, no, flow,
I hope that maybe and Tony or Foragel got Larry
Stewart a sandwich or some light reading.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Now you know what Michael Fregil's does for a while,
You know, Michael Fregil does take the opposing head coach
for media after the game. I can't wait to ask
him what that situation was like, Like did he did
he stay in the locker room the whole time? Did
he go on to his bus he head down, go
to Chick fil A down Patterson Drive or something.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
You said he was going to do Christmas show?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
How mean? He could have gone over there University town
Center and picked up a couple of items, go to
Sam's Club, picked up a couple of tires. I had
two hours, five hundred punds of strawberries and a big
car tire something like that.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
But the first half, the first half was just was
just peculiar, and Brad peculiar. And I wonder, I don't
want to read too much into this, but you guys
mentioned this too. And when anor Huffness three or four
on free throws, Brad is sixty seven free throw in
the in this league, in tight games, at some point,

(23:54):
that's going to bite you right until you get better.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Oh maybe nothing. Yes, they're not going to get I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
I'm just saying right now.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
I just ever hold on. This might be a sixty
seven percent free throw shooting team, it might end up better.
Everybody went nuts about rebounding, and it was the number
one rebounding team in the country going into the last
night's game. So I'm gonna just chill out, all right,
I'm game to game business.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
I understand. I'm just saying, maybe somebody will agree with
me at this point. If you're looking for points of concern, Tony.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, it's a concern, all right.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Good to have the game in Charleston, excellent opportunity to
showcase the Mountaineers, and you guys are having the event
down there.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
So that ought to be great.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
I'll leave it to you, Brad to talk about the
Demon Deacons or coming this is. I'm looking for your
explanation when you get into it. Coming off getting whacked
by eighteen by Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
At home, but earlier this season they beat.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Texas Tech by one and beat Michigan by one. So
I'll look forward to your explanation as to what the
story business change.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I will know.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
I will note that the big guard leading them scoring
twenty points a game has a great basketball name, Juke.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Yeah, Juke is a good basketball to me the other day, and.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
I think I speak for all of us when I
say that we're thrilled that Neil Brown got the North
Texas job, absolutely replacing Eric Morris. Now I do have
in my hands, hold this up.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
He's got a prop.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Tuesday in this kind of coincided with Neil Brown's hiring.
WVU and Neil Brown entered into a separation agreement. Remember
when Neil Brown was fired, WVU still owed him. I
think it was seventy five percent of his contracts remaining
contract which was three years I believe.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Three or four whatever it was.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Chase our microphone on off switch. Thank you, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
They owed him about about ten million dollars in the
separation agreement, which had an offset that he was to
be paid. Whatever he was going to get paid in
another job would offset what he was due. So it
was originally about ten million dollars. They'd already paid him
a chunk of that. It was down to about six
point six million. Brown and ren Baker signed these papers

(26:02):
this week that agreed on a four point four million
dollars settlement. So WVU will play will pay Neil Brown
four point four million dollars. I think it's three and
then one point four is how that's done. And the
belief is, as I understand it, that this is better
for both parties because for WVU it's a little bit

(26:22):
less than if Neil Brown didn't have a job and
they had to pay him the full.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Amount two point two million dollar difference is that.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Where it is two point So it's better for WVU,
and it's better for Neil Brown because North Texas could
have low balled him. I don't know, alwa, he's gonna
get paid, but the Gator low balled him saying, well,
WV is gonna pay you three million dollars, We're not
gonna pay a bunch of money. So it helped him
in negotiating his contract with North Texas and it just

(26:50):
kind of settles everything. So wv's gonna pay him four
point four million dollars. They've signed off on the agreement.
And and as bad Brad as bad a lot of
separations can go, this one actually stands out as being
relatively healthy because the very person that had to fire

(27:11):
Neil Brown, in all likelihood had influence in Neil Brown
getting the next job. Because Rin came from North Texas
and the guy he was his number two.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
There is very closely.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
So it's a good life lesson if you can avoid
blowing up the bridge. Avoid blowing up the bridge exactly right,
because you never know where. You've said this many times,
you never know where your next job is going to
come from, right, And that's an example of that. And
I do think this is the situation both parties ended
up with a good fit. I think that's a program
that is won under multiple coaches. I think that's the
rare case this way in recruiting and coaching. Harsher says

(27:48):
all the time, for such important, high profile jobs, neither
party has enough time to do their due diligence to
where you would ultimately feel comfortable. You've got to make
some decisions fast and get moving. I think this was
one of the rare situations where both parties could get
significant information. Using Ren as the middle piece. There, Jared
Moseley can find out exactly what he's getting, and Neil

(28:09):
Brown from a guy that he trusts and Wren and
vice versa. Neil can get a good sense of what's
the commitment to winning, what are my resources like, what's
the area like, and he can get some actually good
intel that you may not normally be able to get
so I think this is one of those rare win
wins in college football. I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
And Neil Brown did not get fired because he can't coach.
The phrase it kind of gets tossed around is just
ran out of time, ran out of time. And if
ren Baker did not believe that Neil Brown was a
solid head coach, Neil Brown would not have gotten the
North Texas to I mean, if rerenn thought that Neil

(28:51):
was allows he coach, he would have given his boy
a high sign like, hey man, don't go there. So again,
as bad as these things are, sometimes this thing sort
of okay, this has worked out okay for everybody.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Yeah, I agree with you. I'll be really interested to
watch as Neil goes in there builds his staff and
that takes away the invaluable lessons that he learned here
and how he applies those. And wish him the absolute
very best.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
And to Texas he was at Texas this year.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Yes, absolutely, you arn you learn there as well. Three
guys before the game is brought to us by Jan
Dill's attorneys at law, they simply won't take no for
an answer. What's that mean? Well, they are working for you.
If you have needs when it comes to military benefits
or social Security claims. They do it every single day
in all fifty of our United States. A copy was

(29:42):
talking about national recruiting that West Virginia is doing no
matter what state they came from. Jan Dill's is there.
So if you are someone that you know needs help
when it comes to social Security claims or military benefits,
contact them. Do it right from the start. They will
help you through the process. Doesn't cost you a penny
until they get a settlement for you. Contact Jan Dill's

(30:04):
attorneys at law. They simply won't take no for an answer.
Three guys also brought to us by Comac's Business Systems
based out of Charleston, but serving all folks in all
fifty five of our counties and beyond. Right now unbelievable
new high tech, fancy dancy phone systems. If your business
place needs a new phone system, they've got the solution
for you. Pretty amazing. Now, what these things do. We've gone,

(30:26):
We've talked talked about this before. Gone a long way
from the pink slip of paper that says while you
were out forgot about that. Those are gone if you
need a phone system. If you know you need a
phone system, contact the folks at Comac's Business Systems. It's
Comacs WV dot com. Probably some of those Comax people
at the game on Saturday in Charleston. They're always bouncing

(30:48):
around out there, all are you ready for Spreads on Stats?
You ready?

Speaker 2 (30:54):
You are?

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Is it good? So?

Speaker 2 (30:56):
What are you doing exactly? You're doing battleball? What does
that mean about on the floor? Well, we're recording early.
I didn't have the normal prep time here, so we're
just going to meander through this.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Cool in that case, let's uh, shall we say, let's meander?
Spreads on Stats is brought to us by the Conley
CPA group. That's the Conley CPA group. And that's not
Wait can I see that that? Why is that not working?
Let's start the Wow? What happened? Someone had it muted?
Here we go, let's do it again? Shall we wait?

(31:29):
Wait a second?

Speaker 2 (31:31):
My goodness?

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Can men we're we're not i'd say we're foundering.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Can we get someone just to produce the show here?
You know it's not working? Seriously, the hell with it?

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Here we go?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Ready, then the show for those of you that may
not have known this. We don't go back and edit
once we put it to the tape that.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
No one will ever guess that we call this live
to tape.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
We wanted to be No, we could be lying and
say like we wanted it to be organic and make
you feel the realness of our program. Nah, just too
lazy to go back and edit it afterward.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Too much trouble.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Yeah, unlce, you got stuff to do. You guys got
to get to Charleston.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
We're broadcasters. We're not fake podcast people that have to
go back and try to make themselves clean them and
we've been making mistakes for over forty years. All right,
all right, spreads on stats brought to us by the
Conley CPA Group. They are providing you value beyond numbers,
so much more than just an accounting firm. They will

(32:36):
give you business solutions that will make your business more efficient,
bottom line increases. They can come in and remotely take
care of your accounting, which is kind of nice. You
don't have to deal with it. Connley CPA Group, good
people and again serving clients throughout the state of West
Virginia and beyond. All right, what do we have?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Let's talk about coppin State game for a little bit
last night. I think that that was a good pickup
by you, Hoppy when he described the game as weird
in the first half, it was weird. That's a forty
point win, Guys. You don't have many forty point wins
and you walk out going, well, was that good? Is
that good? I mean it won by forty you put
up point that's absolutely random.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Most of the times you win by forty went when
you walk out of it and go, man, we just
absolutely freaking throw.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
That didn't have that it was it was and Ross
said it afterwards. There just wasn't a lot of flow
in that game. It was choppy, but some things that
stood out. I think that is actually a good sign
when you when you handle a team like you're supposed to.
That's a comp and State team that has been struggling
this year. They've been on the road a lot. So
you did what you were supposed to do, even though
in the first half at times it didn't get there
as quickly as you wanted. But some overall things to

(33:44):
look at. How about a second half where you outscored
him fifty one seventeen. Yeah, here's what really jumped no
turnovers offensively in the second halfcuse me, no turnovers, and
that's important moving forward when we get into wake Forest.
That was one of Oklahoma's key to success the other night,
Oklahoma win. Stop me if you've heard this before. Very patient,
offensively made wake Forest have to guard for a long

(34:06):
time and didn't turn it over much and ended up
in a big win. That's going to be a key.
If you want an early key to the game, that's
going to be it. Moving into the wake Force game,
which we'll get to here in just a minute. Twelve
nothing points off turnover advantage in the second half, so
you could know Western came out was a little bit sluggish,
probably not the energy you wanted to start the game.
That got turned around in the second half. You came

(34:27):
to play one thing that I did think help that
was now with this full compliment of players, and you
saw Ross Hodge Tony do it quickly. There were early
substitutions in that game, and it was an opportunity to say,
all right, you're not ready to go, you sit, you
come in and try. And Ross was really trying to
mix with the lineups in there to find some energy
out of that team. I got a question.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
When Chance More gets the ball, is it like you
see sometimes in a video or TV where everything else
disappears and he just sees the basket. He's just like,
I'm going this, this is where I'm going.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Indecisive is not a word you would to describe him. No,
he gets it and goes to the rack. I love it.
And that's what we thought. That's in his value to
this team right now, is he's the best on this
team at doing that. I mean he when he gets it,
he goes. It's almost like when he gets it, he thinks,
why it takes a long to get me the ball.
I'm going right for the basket right now. I don't
care what else is going on. I really like it.
And he really elevates quickly, doesn't he He's a he's

(35:22):
a quick jumper and a quick second jumper. There you go,
quick second jumper and ban.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
What can you do when you take it to the
hoop but they cut you off?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Go through them?

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Oh well you can you can do that or he does,
or go over him, or kick it back out. And
that's what was happening last night. There was a ton
of driving kick opportunities and thought Westerdin did a great
job with that had a sixty seven percent assist ratio,
so they assisted on sixty seven percent of made baskets,
which was a season high, and you saw season high
and eleven made threes a season high and three point attempts.

(35:55):
The other thing a couple other guys let's point out
that jumped out Jackson Fields again and second game back
was very good and I think continues to show how
versatile he can be. Nine points again, four rebounds, but
how about this a team high four assists in that game.
So it's critical to keep getting him in this game.
It's going to be important that he's played a couple
games as you get ready to play against Wake. That

(36:15):
comes in with that's the thing that they'll jump out
about Wake. They are long Would you use to describe
him the other night when you texted me rangy. Yeah,
they are a long rangey athletic team. So that'll be
a heck of a test coming up. One other note,
I want to talk about Trace and Eaglestaff again because
you started to see him get heated up from three
last night he knocked down three to three pointers, finishes

(36:35):
in double figures again with eleven points and almost near
double double again for him with another eight rebounds. He's
been outstanding on the glass and defensively, so Trason continues
to play Honor Huff five made threes last night, and
Tony you said it in the postgame it again to
add to the weirdness of the night. If if a
guy makes five threes in a game, that is normally

(36:57):
the headline coming out of the game. I just talked
about seven things before I got to Honor Huff making
five threes. It's like, oh, hey, Honor had a good game,
made five threes. He We've just become so adept in
a short amount of time of how quickly he can
shoot and how he can pile up these threes. The
NCAA shockingly has an updated their website as of this
morning for last night's game darning. But he'll be somewhere
in the top ten now and made threes on the season.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
But that's that's a good sign. That's a good sign
that you're not talking about those made threes until you
talk about four other guys.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, but five in a game that I mean, that's
a massive game. Yes, Whereas like Honor had five threes, didn't.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I shows you're right, You're right. We just because we
know he shoots the three, because we know he led
the nation last year in three pointers, we just take
it for granted that he's just gonna make them all
of the time. It's still hard to do, right, and
but he but he has had two or more three
pointers in every game. He had the uh, what do

(37:53):
we have? Eight earlier this season nine and eight out
of and then he had the five like like, you're
exactly like five last last night was like, hey, he
made two layups.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Side note, yes, side note.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
I'm still anxiously looking forward to and excited to have
that moment when Trason Eagle staff starts to smolder from
three and we know it's going to come in like
buckets and he's over here and Honor's over here, and
they're gonna go like, okay, which one's garden? And if
you put all of your pressure out here, then we're
going to attack down here. And if not, we're going
to swing the ball. That's going to be a fun night,

(38:27):
because one of these nights they're going to swing it there.
He's gonna hit They're going to swing it over there.
He's gonna hit and that's going to be like whoa.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
And so that's why I was going to go next
with this. And you could see this if you're watching
intently or listening, we were talking about this hoppy what
they do. So take right now when it's just Honor
and they put him on that wing and they've got
somebody down on the block and you're seeing single coverage
down that block because you can't you can't drop down
and even dig because he's so quick at getting the

(38:53):
shot offs. So I think what it's doing, if nothing else,
is we get ready to enter Big twelve play. It's
forcing teams to have to decide how to play here.
Now it's incumbent on West Virginia's post players to finish
when you get one on one right, if you're right
now scouting West Virginia, you're gonna say, we are not
letting Honor Huff beat us. If Harlan or Blow or
DJ or Jackson fields down on the block can go

(39:15):
for eighteen or twenty, so be it. We are not
leaving our guy. That's also where you're starting to see
cutters to the basket in West Virginia's bigs are good passers,
so as you move this thing forward. That's going to
be important to watch because I think you're gonna continue
to get teams that attach themselves to honor and you're
gonna get bigger, stronger, faster athletes on him. Right, So
you're gonna see some teams do what Clemson tried to

(39:37):
do where they faceguarded for a while or they're extra
physical through the lane. So West Virginia's gonna have to
continue to evolve and adapt, which it'll do. Yeah, right,
all right, you wanna talk a little Wake Forest. Sure,
this is gonna be a fun one. I'm excited to
watch this. This is a big opportunity for West Virginia.
I'm hopeful that crowd in Charleston does what it does

(39:58):
a lot of times when the Mountaineers are there. That
needs to be that's as Ken Palm calls it semi
home or semi away for Wake Forest neutral floor game,
that's got to be a non neutral floor that's got
to be one of those buildings that's on its ear
as West Virginia goes in there, because this is an
important game. You get a wake Forest team that's bordering

(40:18):
on top fifty right now in the Ken Palm rankings,
and that matters hop as we get into the net
ranking and we move throughout the season. This is a
really interesting team in Wake Forest to figure out you
alluded to. They got pounded pretty good by Oklahoma the
other night, but that was an aberration from their other
two losses where they took Michigan to overtime, a top
five team, lost by one point, lost to Texas Tech,

(40:39):
the preseason pig twelve favorite by one point as well.
This is a really athletic team, four double digit scores.
You mentioned Juke Harris, who's having nearly twenty points a
game right now, playing extremely well. This will be a
challenge for West Virginia. I think on the offensive end,
you're gonna have to do what you do, make them
guard for the entirety of that shot clock, and see
if you can get a team that likes to get

(40:59):
out and run, to get a little bit antsy and
not want to guard you for forty minutes of the
full shocklock. And I'll say that most of this season.
But when you get teams like Wake that want to
get up and down, see if they want to dig
in and play defense. It's been a really good defense,
though it's a top forty defense right now and adjust
a defensive efficiency. It's a team that's thirtieth nationally defensively
in turnover percentage. That's why I said those turnovers are

(41:22):
so important. West Virginia cannot give up those live ball
turnovers and let wake Forest get out and run first
and foremost. Yes, you can ask a question there.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
No, just that's a really good analysis. And I'm just
thinking that West Virginia needs this, needs a win like this, right, yes, right,
I mean somebody that's needed this fifty and you go
in and you take care of business, you know, scratch
out a wine.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
As of right now, they've got wake Forest at fifty three.
This is Ken Palm, and then Little Rock three oh eight,
Ohio State thirty seven. So you've got wake Forest and
Ohio State. You've got a golden opportunity sitting in front
of you. I mean, Clemson was ever so close. As
everyone knows. They're sitting at twenty two right now in
Ken Palm, Xavier is at an eighty. West Virginia, if

(42:06):
you're wondering, is currently in at sixty seventy seven this morning,
and Ken Palm now has West Virginia with a fifty
four percent chance of winning the game. His computer has
it at seventy one sixty nine. West Virginia win.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
Yeah, Bay if it's that high scoring and West Virginia
is still able to get the win because pace is
going to be pace or tempo or possessions. It's two
opposite end of the spectrums. This is a wake Forest
team that's in the eighty six percentile when it comes
to possessions per game. So again, they're going to want
to get up and down the floor. West Virginia does not.
It wants to slow it down. This is also a
wake Forest team, given its size and its length and

(42:41):
athletic ability, gets on the offensive glass. Nearly twenty percent
of its points come on second chance points. That's in
the ninety seventh percentile nationally. You're getting a West Virginia
team that is still number one nationally in defensive rebounding percentage.
So that's good on good. You want another key Hopy
Watch how those follow up second chance points, Those second

(43:02):
shots are going for wake Forest. You limit those that
takes a big chunk of their offense away.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
What happened in the Oklahoma game, You know it's really weird.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
I watched it did what happened? It just got away.
I mean Oklahoma's making Moe Wigee had a double down,
their double double mohammed Wighee. Uh had a good game,
and uh it just got away from Oklahoma made shots.
Like Brad said, they didn't turn it over, and Uh,
Wake Forest will give you a shot from pretty much

(43:30):
anywhere on the floor. They'll let it fly. And that's
gonna be the interesting thing on Saturday night. Can West
Virginia's defensive presence get them frustrated the way the Mountaineers
guard and another I think piece in the pregame hype
and preparation for this game. Now, do you think there
may be a chance that Ross Hodge will have or
had phone calls with Grant McCaslin, the head coach at

(43:52):
Texas Tech. I mean they are boys, right, coach together
Tech's already played this wake Forest team. You can get
and tee that they'll sit down and go like, Okay,
here's the deal. This is what we have, this is
what they are, this is what they do. That will
be helpful.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
He's certainly watched the game, although it was different because
that was up and down. That one was in the eighties.
If I'm not mistaken, that score was in the eighties.
This one, If it's in the eighties, that doesn't benefit
West Virginia. Hop The other thing, it so often happens
in basketball. You know what Wake Forest did not do
against Oklahoma? Didn't make shots? Oh, I say, didn't make
shots to make shots. Three percent of their shots came
from three, and they made like twenty seven percent of those,

(44:29):
or yeah, twenty seven percent. Sometimes didn't make three. So
that's gonna when you take a lot of threes, that
leads to a lot of variants. You can either be
really good or if you're missing, it gets ugly and
the game can get away, then you slow it down.
They weren't getting on the offensive glass as much as
they normally do. Oklahoma did a good job of holding
them to one shot, no follow up shot, and then
suddenly that lead balloons.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
There.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
You're saying, sometimes teams make shots, and sometimes teams don't.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Make miss shot to make miss business.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Hop.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, And so if you're going to take fifty four
percent of your shots from three and don't make fra
any that's probably not going to go well. So it'd
be nice if that worked for the Charleston Coliseum something
to go down there. Visiting teams have backdrop issues there,
it might have troubleshooting.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
It literally was coming out of my mouth. You know
what I was going to say. There are two things
that are just known in sports. One, a football team
improves its most from its first game to a second game.
And it's difficult to shoot inside the Charleston cause a
lot of visual problems. I mean a lot of backdrop.
I mean it's just unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
So that's great. If there's a lot of misshots going up,
Western need to get the rebound right, have a lot
of noise.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
What's the over under on how many minutes into the
game before you mentioned that, Tony, Well, three and a
half a half minutes.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
I normally don't mention it, but I laughed because people
always make that like it's out to be like, there's
no difference in the Charleston Coliseum than any other civic
arena that you're playing. It's the same thing, but people
make it out like kind of like the Texas Tech
football game when it was too windy for West Virginia,
like loub win one of the yeah, the Lubbock win,
didn't it didn't impact Texas Tech that they had only

(45:58):
impacted West Virginia time.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
There's every winded.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
So now I don't buy into the fact that no
crown on the field exactly, there's no crown, no crown.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
On the field. Well that I'll just say again, I
hope that building's buildings hopping as we've as we've seen it, listen,
it was great for the TVT The one thing about that,
it doesn't have to be a filled building to be
really loud in there. But you hope this is a
good crowd, great seating, new seats there in the Charleston Coliseum.
So it'll be nice to see West Virginia back playing
a game in Charleston. It's been a long time. That's
another one of those. Much like the lighting of Woodburn,

(46:29):
I didn't realize it had been that long. I hadn't
realized it had been that long since you played in
the Charleston lighting, didn't. That's a big moment.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
That's one of that.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
That's one of the great tradition I lovel when that
buildings led up.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
I was up early this morning, I had to do
something and I was coming down Stuart I think Stuart Street,
one of them up by your house. I was coming
down that way and then in the distance I saw
the Woodburn one. Yeah it's awesome, it is beautiful.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
It looks great.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
But did you realize it had been whatever it's been
fourteen years since that thing's been lit up?

Speaker 1 (46:57):
No? Yeah, we talked to the president last night. What
president sends his regards to you?

Speaker 2 (47:01):
By the way, I know I'm jumping all over here,
but speaking of Woodburn led me into the president there.
How about you don't often see uh university presidence tweeting
out recruiting rankings, football, basketball.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Let's get it.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
He's on it, He's he's everywhere. Yeah, he makes me
tired everywhere.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
So wait a minute, what I didn't know the I
didn't know the lighting had disappeared.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
Yeah. Yeah, see that's what I'm saying. You didn't know that,
did you? No?

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (47:30):
So it's did Benson bring it back?

Speaker 1 (47:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (47:32):
It's back? He said, what do we do like that thing?

Speaker 1 (47:34):
But what else he's bringing back? What these sweaters he's
going to bring might one one? When he fut the
lights he's going to bring back. He probably wants one.
Now he'll probably see this way, get ahold of one
of those.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yes, So you didn't know it'd been that long. I
did not. I didn't either. It's it's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
So anyway, so the return of the Charleston Coliseum should
be a fun night on Saturday. Hope to see a
lot of people there.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
Yeah, absolutely, tickets still remained for that as well. Three
guys before the game brought those were pretty close. We're

Tony, I've told you I think not only is we
love Tutors Biscuits, but also when the relatives are in
it is a great getaway. They're staying overnight and you
visited with him in the following morning.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
Tutors is a great getaway.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Is a great getaway because okay, like I need to
get out of the house a little while, and you
get on. I tell you what, I'm gonna go get.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Biscuits for everybody. Okay, I got you. So not only
are you a hero.

Speaker 3 (49:54):
Because you've brought biscuits, but you got out of house
for about a.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Hour and a half. I like it. I like it.
It was good.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
We had pump pancakes this weekend.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
Ohne, we had all the we had everything.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
No Michael, Big Mike, Big Mike, Big Mike cared. He
took care of it. He brought pumpkin pancake makes. They
were really good.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
It's good.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
I crushed them, yeah, because I'm not a pumpkin person,
like you know, like a piece of punkin.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
Now, how many did you eat?

Speaker 2 (50:16):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Well, you know, I got quantity issues. If you haven't heard, I.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
Mean the whole thing about pumpkin, it's not really even pumpkin.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
It's it's spice. It's the same. It's there.

Speaker 1 (50:26):
And you know, I got up this morning. I woke
up this morning, I was still laying in bed, and
I was like chastising myself for like like literally going
like what you doing? It was freaking Peter Peanu emin
M's last night. What what did you do? What did
you do? We have a great gentleman, so nice, so nice.
He brings us this economy size bag. They bring it

(50:47):
in on a crane and they set it down. Yeah,
peanut eminems, you can't do that before they came mush
because it's.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Chocolate and you can chin it's peanuts, just to get
peanut dust in your throat. Then he's just over there
just shoveling it in.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Just so stupid.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
Let me just tell you something you've seen, You've seen
the last time you've seen the last time, I'm how
many did not?

Speaker 2 (51:09):
I have not?

Speaker 3 (51:10):
I have not, in fact seen the last time you're
that's it surprised me about you to a degree, Tony,
be close, Brad. It wouldn't surprise me because he has
no control, Like Tony, you do like you do all
these disciplined things and then all of a sudden something
comes up, yeah and you just like, uh yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
A total unfair characterization you. I'm the one sitting there
not eating them, telling him not to eat them, and
you're just going to attack Because I do a lot
of very disciplined things in my life too. I don't
know that you needed to cast that big net well
because everybody that was totally inappropriate.

Speaker 3 (51:40):
Day you come in, you got a food, didn't take
issue like man, I got the bad food.

Speaker 2 (51:43):
Why I just tell you about it as I share.
He has worse, He has worse issues. Think it does.
Oh my gosh, he inhaled a whole bag of peanut
and before he went on the air. Who's got the issue?
Why did you do that?

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Tony?

Speaker 1 (51:54):
You know the fricking idea? Why I did that? Like
I just did you come on here and go no, no,
because I want I take that.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
That's the thing with typical hymn too. It doesn't affect
him at all. It should It doesn't affect him at all. No,
peanut dust didn't make a coffee. He just rolled right through.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Let us move on, move on.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
I appreciate it's totally unfounded.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
You're right, it was more about Tony than you, and
I probably shouldn't have attacked you, but.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
I thought I saw vulnerability.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Over there A time for textual healing has brought to
us by episode eight hundred dot com. Please text us
whenever you feel it three oh four four o four
forty eighty three. Our website now is fully functional for
the Christmas season, and uh, we've got everything on there.
We've got the popcorn, we've got the coffee, and I
want to go back from roasting. Yeah, yeah, there it

(52:50):
is and all that stuff is there. I would strongly
encourage you this. We're recording on the fourth of December,
and I'm not just trying to push you to buy stuff,
but I I'm saying, like to make a really good,
one hundred percent sure that it's going to be there
before Christmas. The earlier you can purchase it, the better
because our elves are busy and we absolutely want to

(53:11):
give it and get it to you in advance. Also,
let me show you. Last time out, we showed you
that piece of art, which is the marble plaster outline
of the state of West Virginia. Let me show you
some other images to kind of give you a look.
These are representations of how that could look.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Like man Cave.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
Could you see yourself there off to that far side
wall or above the fireplace in the main room kind
of noise and there like that's kind of all that
could be homeless. Dave's cabin home really super neat and
then was there any more of that?

Speaker 2 (53:45):
No, just those were for interior decorating design. Now on
the website, we came services.

Speaker 1 (53:50):
There, sure, So if you want to take a look
at those pictures and get in a better idea, there's
only seven of those available of those Mountaineer plaster black
marble plasters said marble marble dust. Yeah, that's made out
of marble. It's like a Venetian today show, it's a
Venetian's you know that. You know what Venetian plasters happening?
Peanut dust, you know, you know a Venetian pa I

(54:12):
ever heard that? No? Okay, so if you go overseas,
a lot of stuff is done in Venetian plaster. This
is black marble dust that makes that look, gives it
that cold look. Take a look at the website. You
get better by the way. One thing for you get
into textual healing. Because we didn't get to it. There's
been so much news of the last day. How about
Chris Cleiman's out, Yeah, Kansas.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
State, said Drove him out.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
They drove him out, Yes, said did you see be
careful what you wish for?

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Yeah, yes, that you know, Brad, that's done me because
I mean, okay, they didn't have the year they were
six and six or whatever, and then people and at
some point it was after one of the losses and
he was just a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, and
he just said, you know what.

Speaker 2 (54:50):
We're all doing.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Bust. He literally said, I busted my frigging ass.

Speaker 3 (54:53):
Hest of my butt here, and this is what I'm
over it, done with it.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
I wonder if he coaches again. I wonder if he
coaches again.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
I think if your case State you leave, I mean,
you're your Case State. Fans are going but but.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
But but no, No, they're all obsessed with Colin Klein. Yeah,
one of their time one of their all time great players.
I'm just saying, like he might do great, he might
do great, But just keep this kids, just keep this
in mind, right, just keep this in mind. It can
get a lot worse before it gets better.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
How many times do we see programs where they go
through a couple of coaches does never takes a long Syracuse.

Speaker 1 (55:28):
Syracuse is the great example. They get rid of PASCALONEI
because they got tired of Pascalone and it's twenty plus
years now that they've floundered.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
True. Yeah, well that was a I thought that was
a big announcement. Chris Clemens won a lot of games,
a lot of world's champions.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Yes, yeah, I wonder. I wonder if he comes back.
He's fifty seven or fifty eight. He got a lot
of juice in his tank. He also probably got a
lot of money, So it's whatever he wants to do.
But I've always liked him. I think he is just
a football coach. Coach.

Speaker 3 (55:53):
The fact that he quit though, doesn't get it. He
doesn't get a buy on.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
Yeah, well they'll take care of that.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
He's boys with the Gene Taylor with the ad with
Iowa guys.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Yeah, you see it more in bad I mean you've
seen it in basketball, now you see it in football.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Guy just saying you know what?

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Yeah, uh, Texter. I hear a lot of complaining about
the NC double A calendar. Phil Snyder specifically. I remember
when we remember Bill Snyder at media Day when when
he gave you gave him your name, did I and
he said, hoppy?

Speaker 2 (56:25):
I don't remember that that's an interesting name.

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Yeah, we love him. It's the best. I hear a
lot of complaining about the NCUBA calendar, as specifically as
to how it applies to the portal window, But I ask,
what exactly is the nc double A to do. These
guys are technically still students. They must be enrolled for
classes by the start of the spring semester in January
right to compete in spring. How can a player transfer

(56:50):
from school A to school B in February or even
late January. I agree, it's a tough spot for the poor,
multi million dollar coaches who want more millions bless their
oppressed hearts, but that's the job. How can this be fixed?

Speaker 2 (57:04):
It's a great point. The academic calendar is something I
know everybody he hauls about the academics. I get it,
but that is one of the issues. That's part of
what the problem the way the calendar said. But again,
we're not going to hash out the final answer, but
you just got to move the calendar up. I won't
be surprised these conference championships go away soon too, really.
Yeah yeah, and especially if like Miami doesn't play in

(57:24):
the ACCS and Duke is in there without maybe not
even a chance to get in the playoffs, and Miami,
what are we doing? And I know what we're doing.
I know, I get it's the money, It's always the money.
But you don't think another round of playoffs on home
campus sites is still going to bring in TV dollars. Yes,
is the answer. So I think this short answer is
you're going to have to move the calendar up. Is
the only thing you can do. Move it into August,

(57:45):
Start a little bit earlier. Don't have the three week
gap between the end of the regular season and bowls beginning,
which is getting shorter every year. Right, those games are
coming quicker and quicker. You got to compress the thing
and try and get it done. But that I don't
know how you can argue any longer that the calendar
makes sense. Does not make sense. So you got to
look at something. But the text is right. The academic
part of it is a is a.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
Piece speaking of bowl season. You guys doing the balls
again this year we are.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
We're doing one hundred bowls.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
I think one comes up here in about an hour.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
When is your first?

Speaker 2 (58:13):
It's like the sixteenth or something that gets so we
have money.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
You God, I stopped counting we have one day, there's
five five games. I don't know how many. I don't
know how many we're doing. Brad and I just show
up and just do games.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
He's right, we don't know how many games. It's like,
is there a game today? Okay, fine, we'll beit there.
Just go open the mics.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
For those who don't know, we do. It's called Bowl
Season Radio. And there are over twenty games. Right, guys
are doing over twenty games. And they're based but they're
produced in Morgantown and uh Cisco and Ebert over here
are the pregame halftime hosts. They get Rave reviews in
the big cities.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
They're huge.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
They're huge in Santa Monica.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
I heard you, guys.

Speaker 1 (58:55):
I was out there.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
I heard you guys. San Francisco. Yeah, big market, one
hundred plus stations on them on the network. I mean,
it's cool.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
We we love Brad and I love games, love Bowl games,
and love the fact that in some of them, in
some of these games, guys just guys emerge, guys that
you have not heard of it all year because they
don't play for Alabama or Georgia, Ohio state.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Hold on, don't say it. Watch this this is your boy.
You're ready for this. Last year's star from the Bowl season. Yes,
go played at bowling green hockey. What was his name,
Harold fannin junior. He's got a fully green tight end
down and he's in the end.

Speaker 3 (59:32):
He's in the NFL. But he had like sixteen catches
or something in that. But you have guys, right, Brad.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
It's fun, fun, it's great fun. Big advocates of more games.
That's always my stand, right, you want to call them
bulls or actually I don't care what you call them.
Just give me more games.

Speaker 1 (59:47):
Lydia and Dave checking in from a snow covered pharamount. Unfortunately,
there wasn't much effort going on at the women's game.
I guess, as the senator says, you can always get better.
Hopefully that will be the case, because it was a
rough evening. They were there, remember, oh yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah,
David and Lydia. Then she comes back next game from Fairmount.
After completing our analysis of WVU efforting, this week to

(01:00:09):
night's men's game displayed efforting at a much higher level
than money. There she was again last night twenty assists
Eagle staff stepping up. I'm liking the trajectory trajectory of
this Ross Hodge team. So thanks to wearing those efforting shirts.
Good to see those guys.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
What happened with I wasn't hot? You don't see that
very often. I think Mark Kellock's only had three losses
at home as that coach Villan the rare, the rare game,
they'll be back one off. It's not a one game season, Texter.
There's always a West Virginia connection.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
This is a good one. This story is eight years old.
I was in Leeds, England on business and was out
at a local sports bar on an evening. I walked
up to the bartender to see what they had on tap.
The younger man behind the bar, Charlie, recognized I wasn't
a local and asked where I was from. I told
him West Virginia, expecting to have to add that it

(01:00:58):
wasn't near Richmond. His response was, no way. I lived
in West Virginia in Weston. Of course, he had fallen
in love with a girl online and moved here to
be with her. Unfortunately, he came to find out she
loved everyone else too.

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
How that happens.

Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
He also commented that everyone in West Virginia seems to
always wave and have power washers. It was probably in
his early to mid twenties at that time. Part of
me hopes the father doesn't recognize the story, so he
doesn't know what type of daughter he raised. The other
part does keep up the great work, Jason in Charleston.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
You know it was coming next to one of these stories,
someone's going to say they walked into a pub in
England and it was our guys, the friends of the Straws.
Though that's coming at some point. Yes, absolutely, TEXTA.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
As I was watching the Texas Tech game, my mind
went back to the Clemson game. We throttled them and
they saw where they needed to be and began to
get pretty good afterward. I believe that is our future too.
So looking at a positive note after last Saturday's games.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
And did turn that around quickly. Yeah, there's a massive
adjustments within their operating procedures. Amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
What do you mean by that? Like a good quick
You think they may have bought ahead and.

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Management. They the young men tied up their recruiting, worked harder,
made fun calls later into the night.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
They were ahead of the game of nil. Perhaps Tony,
I know you are not one for over excitement of
recruits and commits. Good, but can you please break your
rule for our newly signed six three two hundred and
thirty three pounds Australian punter signed by Nate and the
Canal through.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
A type end. We do need to give a special
shout out to our friend friend of the program, the baron,
the baron down there running pro kick Australia.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
Hey, help me with this.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
I was still waiting for him to send the plane.

Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
Yeah, we want to go down there and meet him.

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
I went down a rabbit hole with with with him
and the baron or the punter, No, the punter so
and he was.

Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
A footballer and Australian rules.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
I looked at his stats, but the stats didn't make
any sense to me. Right, So, but he did play.
And I think he's twenty one years old.

Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
He could be thirty one, who knows?

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
I think serious, I think he's more like closer to
twenty three. Oh is it?

Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
It doesn't matter anymore? Seriously, It's like these guys when
they came back from war. I mean, just like, how
old are you? Twenty ninth? Fine? Go ahead, can play BYU?
He can kick it right, he can kick it left,
he can squib it, he can kick it up whatever
he wants.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
And want, like spiralapeline going. We had good success in Australia. Yeah,
of course every school for the one guy that didn't
show up. Oh yeah, by the way, that's what caused
his rant. Yes, but now we've rebounded, Yes we did.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
How about the young man student athlete that signed from
originally from Alaska that completes that completes the Adrian Morel
Now he was Hawaii. Now we have both of the
non contiguous states in the United States.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Yeah, yeah, how about the young man Muya Yeah six seven,
rather large individual part of the Republic of Congo, came
Tumbo area, you know his former school. Really, that's what
I said the other day. I think Jace Hurl might
want to just meander over to football practice just kind
of keep an eye on the young man. See if
it's a get him in there. Here's a high level

(01:04:13):
basketball recruit.

Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
You play a la lumir.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
That's your dude, it's a vision one. Yeah. I did
notice his size that picture of him next to Rich.
Rich is a big dude. Rich looked like he was
like a middle school guy, like saying hi, nice to
meet my favorite players here kids.

Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
Big well yeah six eight six eight, Texter Evan and Iowa.
When was the last time our men's team was this athletic?
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
Uh, I don't know. I have to go back to
think about it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
No, we've had athletic teams. I don't know. We'll see. Uh,
this is interesting. Brian and Ripley, Hey, Tony Bradd and
Captain Obvious sitting in the back of our house watching
the Mountaineers as we do the entire season. All we
need as a couple of propane heaters, a smart TV,
and some liquid spirits. Let's go out ears. Look at
this guy set up. Yeah, where he's in his back

(01:05:08):
of his house and he's got a pergola or something
back there, and he's got his dog.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
The dog's not interested in the game at all.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
He is out. That's a great setup.

Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
Look at that dog's bed.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
He just turns on the seat heaters.

Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Did you get kicked out of the house?

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
I think that's the way he wants to do it. Uh.
JD from the Southern coal Fields. The recruiting class looks
very promising and I'm hopeful for the future. If staff
and donors can keep the guys that become starters out
of the portal. In my opinion, that was what led
to the demise of Neil Brown. He had plenty of talent,
just couldn't keep it in Morgantown. Love the show, Yeah,
I mean retention is massive, yep, because you don't want

(01:05:45):
to be continually doing what you've had to do. Question
for Brad, what is WVU basketball versus the over under
the last three years has to be seventy percent or
more on the under. Can Brad use his calculated to
determine the percentage? This is for entertainment purposes only. I'm
just asking for a friend. Signed Joe from Barbersville. Thank you, Joe.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
I'll have to go do something.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
What do you think it is on the top of
your head.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
I don't that's probably high. That would seem to be
a high percentage. Remember the books. It's not their first
rodeo either, so they know how to adjust numbers based
on that. But I'll look at that. It's a good question.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
Three guys, before the game is brought to us by
our fine friends at Gomart. Now's the time up until
the nineteenth of December to go in and pull the thing, man,
I mean, I'm pulling the thing. Marty's Spin is going
on for the holiday season. You go in, you have
your app, you hit the QR code, it sets it up,
you spin and you win unbelievable stuff available, including one

(01:06:43):
thousand dollars Go mart gift card, five hundred dollars shopping
spree for Chariot, Cheeriot for charity donations, rewards points, free candy,
and it's all going on now up until December the nineteenth.
Check it out. Also, keep in mind we're gonna be
buzzing up and down the interstate here, probably gonna have
to hit a few Go marks this weekend, maybe making

(01:07:04):
a few appearances.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
I was just gonna say, I'm excited. One of my
favorite in the state, the alk Via one, of course,
very nice one.

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
You like Alchemy better than flat Woods.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Flatwood is a good one, but I do like Elk Vield.
I go left when I'm in Flatwoods View. You're usually
left too left.

Speaker 1 (01:07:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Right's the more non traditional of the two, the truck stop,
but Elk is really good.

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
One.

Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
Got those big giant bottles of water. How that big?
Like those magnums? What's that wine. We had over at
Duke's Wine Bar that one time. That's what they have
of wy in.

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
There was bigger than a magnum. That was the biggest
bottles on I ever saw it, something called big Chick Texter.
I was out on a family trip in Williamsburg, Virginia,
made a visit to Colonial Williamsburg, ran into Santa Claus downtown.
After our kid's got the chance to meet up with Santa.
My dad started making small talk with mister Claws. Turns

(01:07:55):
out Santa w VU grad and he wasn't particular literally
happy that we let the Clemson basketball game slip away.
Seems like there's always a West Virginia connection, even in
the North Pole signed by Galen in Morgantown.

Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
A magnum is one point five leaders.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
This is much bigger thigger than that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
This is like a jerreboem. That's what it was. It
was a jerreb j E R A B A M,
three leaders, which shout out to essentially four bottles. Might
get another one of those dinners coming up. Same group
bought it, same group bo Yeah, I'm down in Stonewall.
They met our same group coming back here.

Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
There was also one called a Neba Caneezer, which is
fifteen leaders.

Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
Hotly potato salads, and I are starting to get toward
a beryl. Hey, three guys logan from Mannington. I made
yaki this week.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Yeah, I made turn out.

Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
I made four and a half pounds in yakey.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
How did it turn out?

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Perfect? Perfect?

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
Good for you? Yeah? Nice? Yeah? So accidentally found so
these are ricotta and yawkeys. Yeah, so what you do
you put there? You put the ricotta. I took three
pounds of rikatta. And my wife did this. She figured
this one out. It says you dry your cheese, dry
it before you make it. I'd put it in for
like an hour. You just get a little left it
in there for two days in cheese cloth. You should

(01:09:17):
see what comes out of that after two days. So
that makes it no, no, no, no, it's the way
that comes out. I think it's the way. Yeah. And
it makes them so smooth. I get you guys over
there have those What made you just think of that?
We were talking about We're talking about the jerebomb and
the leaders and the food and the weight, and I
was going like, I just made four and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
You know you keep I don't want to you keep
saying that what you're gonna come over, that we're gonna
come over and we're gonna have Like I was.

Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
Just thinking about it the other day. We're gonna do
it before Christmas. Skippy's always the one. He got ninety
two things going on. I gotta get you over there
soon because you got all these bowl games.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Yeah, I can't come.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
So hey, three guys, we got games in January. Two
three guys logan from Manny to nice at that I
came across from today Spotify. You know how they'll show
you what you listen to the past year.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
They do it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Oh yeah, and it gives you a rundown. I am
a top twenty six percent listener worldwide. Definitely not a
P one, but need to make a new category. Go
men's basketballers. Good win against Coppin State looked good. Need
to make free throws. Liking what I'm seeing with the commits.
Rich is getting these things looking up for the holidays.

(01:10:29):
You know, it's pretty amazing in all seriousness, Like we
came in here with our daubers down after the Texas
Tech game on Monday. That kind of went away.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Week to week business, I mean day to day.

Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
I wasn't. I wasn't that down.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
I just I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
I looked at it objectively, I thought it was in.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
Bad situational spot.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
Hope season is here.

Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
By the way, what's that speaking recruiting? What's that recruiting event?
Do you have that right in front of here? I
think I have it Avu sports dot com slash the
signing day, that's our event in Charleston comes up. What
begins like five forty five is five o'clockish, ye ish,
somewhere in there down in Charles at the Marriott.

Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
Yeah, So here's I'll just tell you what it's gonna be. Marriat.
That's very hard. It's gonna be hard. So let me
tell you what it's going to be. So we're gonna
have dinner at the Marriott, and uh Rich obviously gonna
be there, and among others, we're gonna have video boards
in the ballroom and then Rich on Mike and we're
gonna show the recruits video their highlights and we'll say, okay,

(01:11:32):
Hoppy courage, we'll tell us about it. Well, what we
liked about Hoppy is he had great break speat Da
Da Da Dad. And we're just gonna go through those.

Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
It'd be a good breakdown, get some more insight. Rich'll
be rich, he'll be loose, and get some good stories
about these guys. I think this will be a fun
night if you're interested in football and especially interested in
recruiting in this next season. It'll be a neat event.
Handful of tickets remain, yes, so get in there quickly
once you hear this.

Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Yeah, we're recording.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
People are listening to this live, I realized, so they'll
be able to get in a little bit quicker.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
We're recording Thursday more so Yeah, jump on those in.
The event is tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
You got to wear that letter sweater at the event.

Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
I don't even know what we're supposed to wear that thing.
I have to find that.

Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
It's going to be cold person of your and the ballroom.

Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
It's cold person person marriage.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
By the way, if you want to get all of
us in West Virginia to say Mary instead of Marriott,
it's going to be a challenge, big challenge.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
That is that's one of them. That's like why that
would be like Coke coming out and saying, hey, it's
not coke, it's Cooke. It's Coke.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
I heard an announcer did that earlier this year around
a game, and it like it jarred me. Why did
Why did the Marriott folks wait till now to marrict
everybody Marriot Marriott.

Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
It might have been to be done because he was
talking about his name, which is pronounced Marriott.

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
But it's been that way for fifty years old. Yeah, like,
why do we just wait till now? I don't know
if it had been mispronounced. Shouldn't we have jumped in
on that earlier? By the way, it's a fair field in.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
It's a whole day in holda day in it's not holiday,
holda day You imagine you imagined Don Crookie if he
had to do the billboard on that new one, that
would totally throw him for a little. And brought to
you by Myriad, Stay there and have a good night's sleep,
