Matkai Burmaster is an LGBTQ creator, self-made entrepreneur and film industry professional. He is the co-founder of the indie streaming service, Fearless, where he works to increase representation and inclusion in film and to give independent filmmakers a platform to distribute their content. After studying film and television at Toronto's Seneca College, Matkai went on to found a theatre program for kids and teens prior to his work with Fearless. He is a passionate voice for equality and fights for LGBTQ rights and body positivity. As a filmmaker, he is best known as the creator of the LGBTQ comedy series, So That Happened, and the teen drama, It's Complicated, both of which are Fearless Originals. Matkai was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario Canada and has lived in Toronto and New York City, where he currently resides with his partner and cat.
