and Amen. As always there is a word from the Lord. Amen.
(04:57):
And by permission tonight of the Holy Spirit. We hope
that you have brought your sword with you, which is
your Bibles, that you can read along with me. But
tonight we are being led to the Book of Mark
chapter twelve, Mark chapter twelve. There we are going to
borrow verse thirty, thirty and thirty one Mark chapter twelve,
(05:23):
verses thirty and thirty one, and they read this way,
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the
first commandment, and the second is like namely this, thou
(05:50):
shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other
commandment greater than these phases. Be unto our Lord and Savior.
Tonight our topic for discussion is God's standard for love.
(06:12):
God's standard for love. And if I had it give
us a sub topic tonight for discussion, it would be
a call to love, a call to love. But our
foundational topic is God's standard for love. Now we do
(06:37):
recognize ton as we approach this lesson tonight, that God
wants his people to love him as well as love
one another. Then when we love God, as says people,
we love God with a passion. But when we love
(06:59):
our neighbors, when we love the people of God, then
we love each other with come passion. And we don't
need to be speaking love loosely, with no intention of
compassion nor passion from our lips, and call ourself a
(07:22):
child of God. Amen. So, now that we got that
little nugget out of the way, one of the scribes
here in our lesson, one of the scribes was debating
with the Lord Jesus Christ and questioning him concerning the
(07:43):
Greatest Commandments, wherein Jesus pointed him back to God's standard
for love, the way he loves mainkind. And if you're
looking at that pretects verse twenty nine. Here Jesus responded
(08:05):
to the question, stating this. First of all, he said,
the first of all the commandments here or Israel, the Lord,
our God is one lord. What was Jesus seen to
that crime? Meaning to be united as one in number?
(08:31):
Jesus was denoting that these words reflect the unity of
the Trinity as three separate persons that was called by
the names of God and our Lord. Because the Father
(08:52):
God is the head of the god Head which we
know as the Trinity. Now we know that he is
the head of Christ and Christ, and he's also head
of the Holy Spirit. In essence there are oneness the Father,
(09:14):
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There are a oneness,
meaning that they are unified in one same spirit. Now again,
when we look at verse thirty, it states the standard
which God has set for mankind to demonstrate love towards
(09:40):
himself first of all, So Jesus said here and thou
shalt love the Lord, thy God with all thy heart,
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind and
will of all thy strength. For this is the first
(10:05):
the man meant. What a powerful decoration for a standard
of the type of love that God expects from his
children toward himself. So to love God is to put
(10:26):
him first in all things concerning our lives. According to
his words, God is and should be our unwavering, our
undivided and our ultimate priority, not allowing anything for anyone
(10:53):
to invade the respect, the love and the fellowship of
our relationship that we see that we have with him.
To love God's way is to also manifest pure heart
(11:18):
felt care and concern for how we dislay love to
one another. Wow, separating ourselves from the way of the world.
Remember not tonight, well, we are looking at God's God's
(11:41):
standard for love, not our standard, not maykind's standard. But
we are looking tonight at God's standard by how we
are to love. We be using some supporting scriptures also
the kind of a little bit more clarification to our
(12:03):
topic on tonight. When we look in Psalm seventy three
and verse twenty five. There David said, whom have I
in heaven but THEE? And there is none upon earth
(12:23):
that I desire besides Thee. David was making a strong, provocative,
profound declaration of where his love, his respect, his honor
where it lies. This implies that David understood God's standard
(12:47):
of love, and he was declevering his interest in only
meeting those standards in order to please his Lord and
save you gave well, not concerned about pleasing nobody else,
except to the point where he used God's standards to
(13:10):
love God first, love one another, and then to know
how to love himself. This indicates that believers cannot love
the things and ways of this world and at the
same time claim to be in love with Almighty God. Believers,
(13:39):
when they are in love with God according to God's standards,
then the believer will also love the people of God,
as we have been commanded to do. There is a
reason that God commands us to love one another, and
(14:02):
that is so that we can meet God's standards of
love towards each other. Again, as we are foresaid, we're
in our opening statement, we have the love with compassion
one another, but we love God with passion, and we
(14:25):
got to meet those two standards the way that he
described throughout this lesson what he expects to meet his
standard of love in First John, Chapter two, verses fifteen
and sixteen. There it tells us to love not the world,
(14:51):
neither the things that are in the world. If any
man loved the world, the love of the Father is
not in him verse sixteen. For all that is in
the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust
(15:11):
of the eyes, and the priduct of life, is not
of the Father, but is of the world. Now this
God wasn't saying that we cannot love and appreciate the
blessings and the material possessions that He have given unto us.
(15:36):
But what he's saying, ultimately, we bet not love nothing
in this world more than we love Him. Because whatever
we love more than him of the world is said,
we don't love him. And the lust of the eyes
we see things, we got to head it. The lust
(15:59):
of the we feel something, we steal person, and we
know that that is not the will of God, who
he wants in our lives. But we seek after that thing,
that flesh, wherever it is that brings us pleasure. God said,
on all that is of the world, And if you
(16:19):
are seeking after the things of the world to bring
you pleasure and calling it love, he say, uh uh,
you are of the world, just like those things that
you seek after in your pride of life. Therefore, to
love the things and the ways of the world, and
(16:41):
turn against the will of God or our lives as
well as here this as well as if we mistreat
those that's in the family of God, or a matter
of fact, if we mystery anybody, because just because they
(17:03):
are not yet a part of the family of God
does not mean that God is not already preaking their heart,
but turn them unto him. Why because he said that
there are so many that is not yet of is fold.
So we don't know whose heart the Lord is pricking
(17:23):
that they might surn their attention unto him. That's why
we got to be careful in how we display our
love to those that we come in contact with. Why
because these actions and desires, when we misterat others of
(17:44):
contrary and contradictory to God's standard for love, and it
is definitely not compatible to loving God's way. Remember, God
has set his standard well, he has set these standards
(18:05):
for his love and the way that we must love him,
and the way that we must love one and love them.
Queen believers, you and I and the other that say
that we love God and we trust God and you
know and we allow him to be in control of
our lives, but that leagers refuse to meet God's standards.
(18:29):
There's a reason why we fail to meet his standards.
Why for love according to His way, we don't do
the caul to his words, then it becomes inevitable that
we will fall more in love with the ways of
the world. When we don't seek after God, we will
(18:52):
seek after the world. When we refuse to keep god
commandment that we are always try to meet the expectations
of the world, and we will be led a street
from God's plan and his will for our lives. And
(19:13):
we also miss an opportunity to please God by living
out his commandment to love Him first of all, and
then to love our fellow man. When we trued love
(19:33):
God in respect to his standards, then we as his people,
as believers, we will desire him, and we will hunger
for his righteousness. We will hunger for his word. We
(19:56):
will hunger for his love and for his is grace
with a deep passion. Remember we say that we love
the Lord passionately, and we love our fellow man, come passionately.
Some forty two and verse one described that yearning that
(20:22):
we have or that we develop as believers, when it
is our soul purpose and we have a goal that
we want to meet God's standard of love. They're at
Psalm forty two and verse one. It says, as the
(20:43):
heart sure, we say, as a deer, as the heart
hantip after the water brooks, So hantive my soul after
thee Oh God. When we have a yearning as a
yearning for and we are so passionates in seek and
(21:03):
guarding and wanting to satisfy the Lord, to show him
how much we love him. Here the psalm is said
that just as the deer run out the water so
thirsty for wad of Lord yearning, I am thirst and
just that much passionately for you. When our heart desires
(21:29):
are to meet God's famins for love and increase our
diligence to walk in His ways, then we will become
passionately thirsty for righteousness and righteous living so that we
(21:50):
can please God and keep his commandments. And you're gonna
hear that being said throughout this lesson is about please God,
is not about pleasing men, because we fight too hard
and we struggle trying to meet men's expectations. And in
(22:11):
most cases, no matter what we do, no matter what
we say, and no matter how much love we show,
those who have no passion for God and has no
compassion for they fellow man, when we don't meet their expectation,
then they will turn their backs and walk away. There
(22:34):
is no love that they have in or for us.
When people are in the world and they love the
things of the world and their passion and compassion is
not of the same likeness that we who passionately and compassion.
(22:56):
They try to meet God's standards for love, then they
will walk away from us. Why because there is no
meeting of the mind as far as what love is
in their heart. They can't understand us, and it's hard
for us to understand them. Why because we're too busy
(23:18):
trying to meet their expectations and gain their favor more
than God's approval. I don't know about you tonight, but
I would rather have God's approval and have his favor
on my life than to try to meet mankind's expectations.
(23:39):
And that's all it is expectations. Because they have a
promise of anything, you know, So is their expectations of
what they just might do if we come up with
something that's gonna satisfy them. But God have made so
many promises and he never failed. He always come through
(24:01):
with everything that he has. Problem the body will say
that the promises of God are yea and amen, meaning
without fail. If he said it, he will do it.
That is right to night. We need to be seeking
to meet God's standard a love. When we look again
(24:24):
at verse thirty one, here Jesus reminds us of the
second commandment, or shall be saved. The second standard alone
there Jesus said, And the second it's like namely this,
(24:46):
thy shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none
other commandment greater than these. Now that's what the mort said.
We shall love our name our neighbors is not just
the people in our neighborhood that live on our right
or live on our left, or the people that we
(25:09):
ride down our street in our neighborhood, and we may
know them by name, and we may stop sometime and
have a little conversation with them, or if we don't
stop and have some conversation, we are waving to them
as we pass by. Those are not our owner neighbors,
our neighbors that the Lord is speaking in respect to here,
(25:32):
according to what he plassified to show love as his
stand up for love. Is anybody we come in contact
with that need love and need to know who Jesus is.
We must love without respect a person. Notice in our
(25:54):
texts ascribe on the ask for one commandment, but he
got two instead. See, we never know what to expect
from God because and we have to always live our
life with an open mind to always know that God
(26:15):
has a right to change his plans. He has a
right to give us more. He has a right to
give us less right because everything belonged to him to
do as he pleases. Now, he gave the scribe two
commandments instead of one, because he only asked, what is
(26:37):
the first great commandment? But Jesus gave him two commandments.
This denotes the greatness of God in his love for
those who serve him. See if in the first one,
that first commandment, Jesus was making a call for mankind
(27:00):
to show that passionate love. Your voice him and you know,
and he's held them. Well, then he say, you just
gonna love me with your lip. You've got to love
me with your whole heart, with your the bit of
your soul, with every bit of your mind, with every
bit of your stress me, everything about you needs to
(27:23):
say that I love the Lord while we so busy
fighting trying to meet man's expectations. But when he was
in his second one, he was making a call for
mankind to show that compassion love to one another. Okay,
(27:45):
he said, you got to love your sisters and your
brothers as you love yourself. Now, if we put a
little pan there for just a second, or to you
not too long, because you don't want nobody to start
reflecting and going in in the native that Russians. But
sometimes when we look at people's lives and and the
(28:05):
way that they live, in the way that they treat themselves,
it brings into question do I really want them to
love me that way? Why not because we are being
judgmental or condemning, but because we know according to God's
words and according to the commandments of the standards, or
(28:28):
how God said, we must demonstrate love to one another.
If I don't first know how to show love to me,
I'm certainly not going to be able to show any
kind of love to you. So I got to first
learn how to be compassionate with myself, treat myself according
(28:50):
to God's words, love myself compassionately. You know how God
say that I'm his child. So there is a standard
that I I have to come up to in order
to even please God with how I treat myself. Then
where I master how to treat myself compassionate me with love,
(29:13):
then now I'm able to compassionately impart that love unto others.
But here we're talking about the greatness of God in
his love for those who love and sererve him, as
well as does sincerity in which he commass us to
(29:38):
love one another. He never say need each other's expectations.
He say to love one another and know that love
is not gonna always make us feel good, because sometime
we have to show top love to one another. That's
the way we see people going in the wrong direction.
(30:02):
We have to show tough love. And that's what the
Lord does for us. Not a judgment in love, but
not a condemning love. But it's a tough love, right
because that's the type of love that would pull us
out of situation. We love each other enough that though
those dark places that others refused to go, that love
(30:22):
would carry us in in those places and help us
to grab our sisters and our brothers, buy their hands
and help pull them out of those deep holes of
mud that they have fallen into and reached down in
that muddy, pull them up and help to plant their
feet on solid ground. Again. That's the kind of love,
(30:46):
that great love that God has as his standard for love.
The latter part of when we look at the Dennicus
Chapter nineteen and verse eighteen. In the last part of
that verse eighteen, it reiterates this same quotation talking about
(31:07):
in verse thirty one, spoken by Jesus concerning God's standard
for loving one another. If you read with me little
vit concept in nineteen and verse eighteen, you should find
these words, you know, unless you use a different version.
I'm using the King James version. It says, thou shall
(31:28):
not avenge no here, nor bear any grudge against the
children of thy people, but thou shall love thy neighbor
as thyself. I am the Lord. You're again, he says this,
This is my commandment. This is my standard. That you
(31:54):
don't do attack against those that come up against you
and somebody lie on you. You don't go and lie
on them. If they God about you, you don't go
and God of about them. You know, when they come
up with something negative, you better come up with something positive,
because it is not about who they are. It's about
(32:14):
who we say we are as the people of God.
You know. So naturally a person who don't know the
Lord and who is still of the world, they know
nothing about meeting God's standards. But guess what they learn
how to grow in in those standards. First rendering what
those standards are from watching those of us who are
(32:39):
already in the family of God, and we know how
to express our love towards God passionately as we seek
outter him will hold diligence. You know, you're panting as
a deer pant of water. We have that thirst. But
somebody who is not saved yet and who does not
(33:00):
know the Lord like that, there's still thirst thing after
the world. And he's saying, you cannot avenge them. You
can't hold anything against them, and you can't no need
of hold them any grudges against them because of the
things that they might do. That's out of order, because
that's not gonna help to change them. But what did
(33:21):
he said? He said, but that shall love thy neighbor
as thyself. He said, the way you want to be treated,
if you were the one on the end of mess up,
how would you want somebody to treat you? How would
you want to be handled? Do you would you want
to be cut off, cut down, dismissed, degraded, be little?
(33:46):
You know, not to be included because you don't know
how to live for the lawyers yet without falling down
every time you try to stand up but guess what,
he has grown Some not perfect yet, but have grown
and gotten a little further down the road. But I'm
not saying have matured just a little bit more spiritedly,
(34:12):
that they have a little bit of more outstanding power
and they are more sustained. Why because they have accepted
Christ as their savior. They have been stilled with the
Holy Goost, which is their comforter, their keeper, and their God.
They know how to call to him for help when
(34:33):
they need it. But the unsaved people who are still worldly,
they don't know that. They do not understand the efficacy
of God's love. For those of us who are already
in the family really know about that greatness of His
love while because we experienced it in our life every day.
(34:57):
And that's what He's saying the same way. I show
the efficacy of my love to you, and you better
be showing it to those whether they save or not.
Don't abend them, don't hold no brudges against them, continue
to love them according to my then, and I will
do the rest. Jesus himself said, if I be lifted up,
(35:22):
I'll draw all men unto me. He never say that
we was gonna draw nobody just because we lift up
the name of Jesus. We don't have the power. They
draw nobody to Jesus. But we do have the power.
We have been equipped with the authority of the word
of God, seal with the power of the blood of
(35:43):
Jesus on every word that proceeds out of our mouth.
When we are witnessing about the love of God to
those who don't yet know him. He said, if you
do that, then I will draw them. I got the
power to draw them. We don't have the power, but
guess what the power is in my word that should seek.
(36:06):
That is what I will use to draw their attention
unto me. That's why we got to show love to people,
my dear sisters and brothers. And they be acting me
to us. We can't turn around and retaliate and then
act me with them. If they get an attitude with us,
and we say that we love the Lord, and that
we love the Lord, and you know, and if we
(36:27):
love his feet, then were walking around with an attitude
we love add in the attitude. No, no, no, no,
no no. There is nothing negative about Jesus. There is
nothing negative about God, and there should not be anything
negative in the way we his people, demonstrate that love
that we say that we have. This affirms that the
(36:50):
law of God concerning his standard for love and include
a commandment, judgment, and orderness. Oh his love, he does
it all. It's not for us. The only thing he
wants us to do is open up our mouth and
let him speak the word through us. And then when
(37:12):
we learn that word ourself, then that love that we
have in that relationship that we have developed with our
Lord and savor Jesus Christ, now we are able to
demonstrate that love to our sisters and our brothers, who
he called neighbors. Jesus said in Matthew chapter five, verse six,
(37:33):
bless See, there's a blessing. There's a blessing in showing
this love the way that we're supposed to do. Blessed
are they we do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for
they shall be felled. So every time we pour our love,
guess what Jesus poured love back in us. So we
are never empty of love unless we never allow love
(37:58):
to come in in the beginning. We are never empty
of love. And we'll always seek after the things that
God don not what the world known. But we will
seek after the thing that the Lord have already preordained
for our lives. We'll live, O Lord, whatever you have
(38:19):
for me, that is what I want. We get that hunger,
we get that thirst, and know who am I according
to God and His creation of me. The livers will
develop a strong desire to please God, not man, but
a strong desire to please God in all their ways
(38:44):
when they seek to know and demonstrate God's standards for
love and life. Therefore, once we have a real encounter
of Jesus Christ, she just can't be a flied by
not It can't be like a drive by the fast
(39:07):
food window. It can't be a burger. Can't have it
our way? No, no, no, no no. We have got
to meet his standards. But want we have a real
encounter with Jesus Christ, and we're we taste of the
goodness of the mercies of all Mighty God. Oh holding
(39:32):
the sea se wine, I tell you you, the goodness
of God have been with all her life. The goodness
of God have been because all our lives, even when
we was out there in the world, the goodness of
God was still with us. Loo do we think kept
us up until the very time that we learn the
love of God for ourselves, and that we learn to
(39:55):
be passionate in our seeking after the Lord's face. Yeah,
It's goodness and mercy were always covering us. We develop
a hungering desire for more and more of him. We
just can't get enough of the Lord. Once we have
that real encounter with him and his loving ways, we
(40:20):
want to Lord, I want to do this your way.
Throw all a my agendas away, put my pencil down,
our tear of all my paper, and I want the
agenda that you have already laid out for my life.
We as believer, as we begin to create, to crave
(40:42):
I'm sorry to crave a need to sit at his feet.
All we can't get enough of him. Just got to
get in his present and sit at his feet, just
to be there in the present, to see what the
Lord has to say. In sitting up our order, but
to the day and ordering our step, we want to
(41:06):
learn of his love, his ways, and his words. They're
at the see of Jesus. We gain knowledge of how
to love God passionately and love our fellow man with compassion.
To know God's words is to know how to love
(41:26):
God's will and his way and come into the realization
of how meaningful and how powerful God's love and his
word is. Psalm nineteen, verses ten and eleven reminds us
(41:46):
that in respect to the law or the Word of God,
it says this, more to be desired are they than gold? Yeay,
then much find go sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
More Over, by them is thy servant worn. And in
(42:13):
keeping of them there is great reward. All there is
a reward, not just a reward, but a great, a
big reward, and a abundant reward for those of us
that seek God's wait more than we seeking silver and gold.
(42:37):
No matter how if it's what we do, it feels
so sweet to us, and it feels so good to us.
But the Bible say to seek out the guard and
to know him and to be in him is even
sweeter than the honey in the honeycomb. Now you know
that is sweet, because I don't know if you ever
had any honey, But I'm eating some honey, and honey
(42:59):
is sweet to hear what I'm saying. We ought to
desire the word and blessings of God, share in his
standard for loving one another in order that we receive
his promised blessings, which is our reward and our inheritance
(43:23):
as his children. According to Romans after twelve, verses nine
through sixteen. There it addresses loving God's ways and his
standards in respect to our fellow man. Now the apostle
Paul he taught us concerning the commandments of God that
(43:45):
regulates Christian love and brother holld Verse nine. He said,
let love be without this simulation. A boy that rich
is evil, plead to that good. What was he saying?
Pretentious actions needate God's standards for love. We as believers
(44:10):
are not to be pretending, but be real and sincere
in all that we say and do. Don't live in
disguise as someone that possessed the true nature of the
love of God. We need to put away our desire
to do evil against one another and be grounded in
(44:35):
demonstrating love and goodness as commanded by God. Look at
verse ten. Their Paul's taught be kindly affectioned one to another,
with brotherly love in honor, preferring one another. Paul I
(45:00):
was saying, love each other as sisters and brothers in Christ. Jesus,
do not be afraid to applaud the excellence in others
when the Lord is blessing somebody, when the Lord is
elevating somebody else, when God allowed them to do great faith,
Then we who are the people of God, in them
(45:22):
we got the real love of nature of God in
our heart. Then we won't be sitting and snarbing our
nose and rolling our eyes, whispering under our breath. Shide
eyed him. You know somebody, because the Lord is blessing them.
But what will we do? We will applaud the excellence
in others and show honor to those whom honor and
(45:44):
respect is do and well deserved. Yes, the Lord bless us,
and he don't hold our shortcomings against us. He don't
bless us because of we ain't even good enough. We
can't live our lives good enough to be blessed because
of But he blesses us, and he extends his love
(46:05):
to us in spite of our self. That's why we
got to learn how to exercise that same standard of
love when it comes to our neighbors. In verse eleven,
he said, not slow for in business, fervent in spirit
serving the Lord. What was he saying? Be cautious, not
(46:28):
to be callous and selfish in displaying God's stand up
for love even when we are angered by others' behaviors,
and leaders are to maintain a spirit of love. We
are encouraged to not seek applause from man or struggle
(46:50):
to meet their expectations, but rather remember that our servitude
is unto God, and from him is where we will
receive our reward. Verse twelve, he said, rejoicing in hope,
patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer. Now Christians are
(47:17):
to maintain hope in the Lord Jesus and be joyous,
knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
We are to show patience with others even while we
are experiencing personal trials and tribulations. Also, we are to
(47:39):
keep a prayer on our lips as we spend quality
time with the Lord. Verse thirteen, Paul said, distributing to
the necessity of saints given to hospitality. What was he saying?
Not only are Christians a courage will bless their leaders
(48:02):
for those who are of a household of faith. They
are to care for the needs of those who are
less fortunate. They are to show love and respect to
all people, and we'll hold the need to a concept
about what they have done for us, what the Lord
(48:23):
allow us to do. If it was done from a loving,
pure heart, then we're not gonna run out and put
it in the newspaper. It's not gonna become that the
front page news in our community newspaper is not gonna
be placed on it in the stop sign. We won't
hear it on the radio. We're not gonna hear go
and run and tell somebody else. It's not to be
(48:45):
broad pasted, okay, because the Lord lets us know that
whatever we are doing behind close doors, he will reward
us for it. Open that, he'll make it known. But
let other people tell what we bless them well. And
when we do it out of a loving heart to
meet God's stand up men, we won't broadcast it. And
(49:07):
if they never speak a word about it, and we
don't need to take that as an indicator or they
didn't appreciate it, no no, no, no no. When we
do what the Lord commands us to do, then that's
the end of that. Whatever happens after that, that's the
Lord business. And whoever he chose to send us the
blessed verse fourteen, bless them which persecute you bless and
(49:32):
curse lot. Okay, that's a part of what we've just
got losing. This is a litless test for those who
say they are truly leaders and really demonstrate God's stand
up for love. We are to be a blessing to
those also that are ren even they're scandalous and they
(49:55):
seek a desire to demolish our characters as well as
strip away our intee. Knowing that their goal is to
courage and persecute us. We either will stoop through the
level of our persecutors, or we have the choice of
(50:19):
rising above it all and show God in love in
spite of the situation. Oh, somebody was help right there,
somebody was help comp my bones. Rise above it all
and love not because of them, but in spite of
(50:41):
why because at the way that the Lord loved us. Okay.
In verse fifteen, Paul tells us to rejoice with them
that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Oh,
my God, this is what love do. Don't be jealous
or be grouage those who God has children to bless
(51:02):
and prosper. Rather clap your hands and be happy for
them and with them. Why, we are to show genuine
compassion towards others when they are experiencing pain and sorrow.
We can't be so upset with people because of God
(51:25):
blessing them that when they're going through situational trials and
trivulations of life and the chain and sorrow, that we
don't want to even be bothered with them. Or and
sometimes we let the devil trickers or they got what
they're supposed to get, that's good for them. No, no, no,
love will never never express itself in such a way,
(51:48):
because that is so negative to say that, oh, they
got what they deserve. Where where you see people hurting
and they're in pain in it, and they're now living
under sorrow, you know, because of things that have taken
in their lives. That is the time that we need
to even embrace them with the love of God even
the more to help bring them out of that space
(52:11):
of pain and sol Verse sixteen. He told us be
of the same mind, and one told another mind not
high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be
not wise in your own conceit. Don't be conceded in yourself.
(52:31):
We are to strive to live in love and harmony,
as on one occord, be a peacemaker, don't partake in
illegal activities in order to satisfy our ambitions for riches
and power. That's the way the people of the world,
(52:51):
that's what they do. Then, o'kay, we'll get hurt just
longly they get what they think they deserve with their
narcissatistic thinking, the ncissistic ways. They have built themselves though
jail house for them own selves, and they gotten in it,
and they close the bars behind them, and they won't
let nobody come in, and they refuse to come out
(53:13):
because they were in there. Owner to the world, Okay,
and do not ignore or exclude those that have less
from our circles. In order to gain favor of the
soul called rich and elite folk rare, we must associate
ourselves with humble, godly people who are not seeking the limelight.
(53:37):
Do not be consumed by vanity as self conceitedness, lest
we will miss opportunities to show that we are kind
and loving people like our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
When we declare that we are the people of God,
(53:57):
then we must love according to God's standard and ways,
as he has commanded us. We as Christians cannot look
or live like world that the world does. We got
to live the way that the Lord tells us that
we must, they'll become no big eye and little to
(54:21):
use syndromes. Why because this is not the action of
love for our self Lord, for our neighbors. We cannot
adopt an attitudes such as every man for himself, when
God told us to esteem every man above ourself. Instead,
(54:45):
we distribute love unto all, as God has given his
love unto us. We serve an inclusive father, one that
shows no respect of person when it could comes to
loving on his children, and as his children, we should
(55:07):
exhibit that same love that is described in First John,
chapter four, verses seven and eight. We said, beloved, let
us love one another, for love is of God. And
everyone that loveth is born of God. And knoweth God
He that love if not know if not God. For
(55:31):
God is love. See his stand up for love is
to know him, love him and our fellow man. And
then when we go down to First John, verse eleven,
he speaks in respect of love for our neighbors. It says, beloved,
if God so love us, we are also to love
(55:52):
one another. In my clothes, we are commanded to forgive
one another and to love one another. This is how
we meet God's standard for love. We are instructed to
do unto others as we will have them do unto us. Therefore,
(56:13):
if we want to be shown love according to God's
standing for love, then we must demonstrate that same kind
of love according to God's standards. So let us all
be encouraged tonight to adopt the spirit of love like
(56:35):
the love of Jesus Christ, so that we as believers
can live our life every day love in God's ways
and please him by meeting his standards for love. Amen, Amen,
and Amen. We want to thank the Lord to night
