Speaker 1 (00:07):
Don Ward.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Condor, Hey all, and welcome to the Treasure Vortex Podcast
(01:23):
with Gypsy Jewels from YouTube's zero Discrimination, as well as
her website gypsydigs dot com and myself Amanda Digger to Guz. So,
yet again, Gypsy and I have not been able to
catch back up over the week, so we figure, hey,
why not bring you along on our journey of catching
up and seeing what adventures we got into each week.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
So, yeah, hey, Gypsy, how are you?
Speaker 3 (01:49):
I'm doing great, I'm doing great.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
How about yourself?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Doing all right? Doing all right?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Good?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Were you able to get out this week?
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I was not. I was not. I've been I think
I had told I told you briefly last week.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I haven't really told anybody else, but had been dealing
with shoulder issues again. So I hopefully I am feeling better.
I do have a bunch of stuff going on, but
I'm hoping to get out over the next few days.
But yeah, besides that, how about you have you got.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Just for some brief moments I stopped at uh you know,
every time I see a tot lot anymore, I just
I take that opportunity because I have found some really
cool stuff at hot lots and so I even went
to a little tot lot today. I was passing and
(02:48):
by I'm traveling again, so or out of town, and
so I saw a little tot lot pulled over. I
only found a few coins and some trash. Wasn't there
very long because it is like ninety ninety, I don't know,
seven here night, not only going to get hotter throughout
(03:10):
the rest of the day, So it's not idea. However, Anyway,
I did post like a I think on my Facebook page.
I posted, like last week a little fined I found.
It turned out to be go plated, had them blingling
(03:32):
a little short and then another little item that I
found the last time we were hunting. I think I
posted a short on that one as well. But I
did post today. It's fully uploaded. If you get a chance,
go check it out on my YouTube channel zero discrimination.
(03:53):
I've got my airhead hunt.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Video up. And anyway, it was my friend.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Zola, which we've had on the podcast before, and I
think we've had Darren before as well. I can't remember,
but my friend Arren. Yeah, and so we did a
paid airhead dig in Colleen, Texas. Kind of pricey, but
it was a blast. It was hot as heck. I
(04:22):
did get sunburned and peeled, still peeling. And then anyway,
got that uploaded today this morning, and so excited about
that video. Be sure and check it out. And then
my last video is kind of the second time. Well
I went metal detecting with Darren and Zola, so we
(04:45):
found a few things. That was my last week's video.
It doesn't have as many views, so if you get
a chance go check it out, it would be great.
Helped me out and check it out see what we found.
And uh, anyway, got those videos dying. But also on
(05:11):
another note, I really wasn't able to get out and
hunt over the weekend. But I did go to the
lake yesterday and all I could think about I was
on a boat and I had a chance, not one
of those wakeboards. I tried to do the wakeboard, but
you know, because my foot was recently hurt my ankle,
(05:34):
I never could quite get all the way up. So
maybe next time I try it. But it was fun trying,
and uh the whole time all I could think about.
After I did some swimming and played some ball with
my friends, and I haven't been on a boat and forever.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Actually last year I did go on one.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
I forgot about that. Yeah, once a year, it's not so.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Anyway.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
My first time this year to go on a boat.
So it was a lot of fun with some friends.
And all I can think about is, oh, look at
that area over there. They're women and I want to
go metal detector. Where's my my? You know, I always
have my magnet two in my car, so I like
to think about, is oh that boat, that boat dock,
(06:24):
or that fishing dock and what would I find there?
So there's always that, But sometimes you do need one
of those days to just chill and have fun and
enjoy other other things, other hobbies and other ways to
enjoy time with friends. But of course treasure hunting is
(06:45):
always on my brain. Yeah, I know it's sures as well.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Did you were talking about the videos too? I know
you sent me a picture of what I thought was
a beautiful discutcheon. Did you post that video yet?
Speaker 4 (06:59):
I just posted the one clip and it's on my
Facebook page it and I think it's on my Instagram
as well. Maybe. But yeah, if you pop on over,
if you're following me on Gypsy Jewels Facebook page, you
can see a few of the shorts of recent things.
Sometimes I'll just pop up a little short kind of
(07:20):
like a little teas, but it's usually from going to.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Be in an upcoming video.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
So crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Well, for I know that uh Tim, who usually listens
ill Digger, was talking. I saw his pose that the
Digathon that Regison usually is a Regton region.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Oh yeah, oh really?
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, I saw that was canceled, and then I saw
I kept getting conflicting.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Because the one talking about is.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Becoming roots and relics, and yeah, Digathon, isn't that the
fall It's usually like the Fall September.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Event.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Is that the one over in the UK?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yes, yep, but I know a lot of quite a
few of our listeners go to that. Yeah, I saw
he posted it this weekend that it was canceled, and
then I think I saw, I wonder what who is
your she's on your your team, she's over in England.
(08:30):
I think she might have posted it as well. And
then I'm trying to stay up to date. It's hard
because I don't like I want to be on Facebook.
So let's see dig your don So yeah, crazy, a
lot of things getting canceled, a lot of things being changed.
I did see that, you know, Digstock put out a
(08:53):
big post and I think tickets go on sale for
one of their events today.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
I think you're about to have a new hunt coming up,
is what I heard. And then some other members left
and so I think it's going to be another group
there as well.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
So that's exciting.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Yeah, very exciting.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Yeah, you know, I have lots of hunts coming up
and I'm still working trying to get a hunt together.
So it may be a quick, you know, like a
three months planning thing together, but I'm working on it.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well that's cool.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, well you well, obviously you're going to keep everybody
in touch on what's going on with it.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, I will.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, so it looks like I'm.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Sorry for backtalk and I finally have it. So Digathon's
usually in September, the week into like the nineteenth. It's
usually the weekend of my birthday in the UK. They
had to cancel it because of serious illness, so.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
That's not good.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
So we'll be keeping them in our thoughts. And it
looks like if you did purchase, refunds will be going
out within the next few weeks. So if any of
you listening with that, I know that people are definitely
going to be because it is that that fall weekends.
It seems like everything is that weekend a lot at
(10:30):
the time, so I know a lot of people will
be looking for if they were going over, I don't know,
you know, I'm not sure if they bought their tickets
yet if you're flying over from the US, and.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
It's definitely a bummer. But right, thanks, yes it does.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Now.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
The airhead hunt that you went on with Theren and Zola,
that's up an up of my list of things I
want to do.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Man, it was so much fun. It was just the
wrong time of the year to do it here in Texas.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
In the middle of the summer is not a good time. Hello.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Oh no, now I can hear you.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
I was like, in the middle of Summer's never good
to to do those things.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
No, not in the middle of summer unless it's water
hunting related or real shady area that kind of thing.
We did bring a tarp, a little thing, but it
was hard to you know, he's.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Got to dump that.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Dirt on top of the big sifter thing that you'll
see in the video. So anyway, the tarp part was
like right the side, but the so really couldn't be
under the tarp and sift the same time for your
indirect son. Now with a bigger tarp, you could you
(12:09):
just really need a bigger, bigger tarp for that.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Would would one of those pop up tents have helped
as well.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yeah, that's what we use our tarp's pop up pop up.
But yeah, but we just needed one bigger because of
the size of the table.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, the table took up the whole space.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Yeah, it was a big table. But yeah, y'all got
to take it out, took out the video and hopefully
this weekend maybe I'll get out and do something I've
been dying to go do some water hunting.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Anyway, Yeah, I hear that I have not gotten into
the creek up here. I got to go talk to
them eventually. But I mean, we were getting back into
the fifties in the evenings, and the high during the
day was like, you know, low eighties, seventies, but we
just dropped back into I think this week's going to
(13:08):
be back in the high nineties.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
So m.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Well, I will say that I was wanting to go,
you know the creek that the money creek that I've
been wanting to take you to if you ever make
it to Texas and do some midlarking. I had a
chance to go, actually was not yesterday, but the day before,
(13:34):
and I invited a friend and they're like, no, it's
too because they had went with me before there. But
this last time there was a sketchy person there and
we were smelling some weird stuff and we didn't want
anybody strung out on something, and they saw them watching
(13:58):
us and kind of freaked out. So you have to
go with someone and probably have a good weapon. So
I will not go there by myself ever. So many
of the yeah, and you know I talked about that. Yeah,
last time, I think with your spots are getting kind
of hairy. It's sad, but but safety in numbers. Yeah,
(14:26):
and then yeah, uh. One of my fellow diggers, I
won't mention her name, she might not want me to
say this, but yesterday I got a phone call from
her and she's like, got stung by something. She was
trying to reach a bottle and all of a sudden
started getting stung over and over and got stung on
(14:48):
the head, and finally, you know, was worried because she
has like allergic reactions. She didn't know what she was
stung by. She just knew that something was flying around
and anyway, and finally she did make it back to
her car. She had some Benadreula, took some Benna drell
and did make it back home. But although she lives
(15:09):
quite away from me, not in Texas, so.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
I was like, oh my gosh, I would have had.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
To call the somehow the mercery room and she would
have had a pen where she is. But I feel
honored that she thought about me contacting me instead of
one of her family members or something. But anyway, scary,
but yeah, that is scary. So it really really really
(15:37):
does pay off to have a treasure hunting friend with
you or let somebody know where you're at. For sure, Yeah,
I do that.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
So I was like, why why are you?
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Could I forget who I was with and I was like, oh,
we're going to head over to this one. I'm like,
hold on a second, though, I got a text and
let him know what we're moving, Like why are you
doing right?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Good?
Speaker 2 (15:59):
It's the safe to do is why. That was years ago.
Now it's even more so I'm like, oh, I'm going
to the creek. And actually I was talking to John yesterday.
I'm like, yeah, so this other spot, I'm like, with
the water releases, I'm like, I don't know. I'm like,
I don't have the timetable anymore, Like I don't know
when they're doing it. And he's like, well, like you
think you'd come down with me. So he's like, oh, yeah,
(16:21):
oh absolutely. So it's just again the tides. A lot
of this stuff around here is title and the tides.
Sometimes they look at my work schedule and they go,
we're gonna go the same time she's worked out.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah, yep, So.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
I have to wait for the full. You know, the full.
It's usually like a week before it shifts, so that
you know every hour it goes later later, later, or later,
or it ends up being oh it's you know, at
nine pm, and I'm like, I don't really want to
be on the water at nine You just gotta wait,
gotta wait a week or so and it shifts up.
(17:04):
But it's never fun. Never fun.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
I love watching your mudlarking videos, so thanks.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Are have fun. They're they're a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
I'm trying to do better at showing the after or
like if I say, like I know that one of
the last ones I did, was that uranium.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Juicer try to I try to show it.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
I was like, oh, I think this might be And
then so it means I do have to actually bring
stuff in and clean it.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Which I I'm not used to I think. Where Ever, yes,
it usually sits in the truck for the.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
Yeah, you know there's things I don't even think I've
cleaned yet, still in baggies from when you and I
went to our little trip up north.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
But when you eventually pull that stuff out, you're gonna
be like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Oh my gosh. I may have to repost some of
those videos I have to dig. But that was so
much fun.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
It was a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Miss that.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
I know you've gotten to go back then, but.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah, only like silver marks, and only the once I
was funny. I was just telling someone, I'm.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Like, I can't I want it goes so bad, and
they actually they let me know it's all sanded in
right now.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Really well, wow, well.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
It's standing in.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Doesn't seem to really bother you and I we could
still find it, Like I think the time, I was like,
we found it, and then you you jumped on the
other side of me and found some awesome stuff. So
I started working one way and you work the other,
and we killed it. We found some awesome stuff.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Yeah, and we started scraping. We were finding all kind
of amazing stuff that was so fun.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Yeah. So that's why I was like, yeah, it's sand in.
Yeah I hear it. Yeah, Okay, it's sanded in that
I don't care. I'll still go.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Right, well, I.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Know, super short one.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Yeah you've got yeah, I've got to go, and you've
got to go, and but it's been fun catching up
and you're able to get out, and I hope you're
shoulders better and.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Good luck finding awesome treasures and uh yeah I can't
wait to connect again.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
And uh in a few days.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
All right, sounds good.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Thank thank you all for listening.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Y'all, have a great evening.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Good night everyone, byebye
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Mhm
