Ryan Wolfe is joined by Bills Mafia's favorite Jets fan, John Cimino, to break down everything that went right for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.

Josh Allen and the Bills offense got themselves back on track and the defense also was able to get back to their dominance against a mediocre New York Jets offense.

past Sunday, I certainly would seethem next Tuesday. If you get my
dread. Yeah, I pick upwhat you're putting down there in Buffalo,
man and our rundown here. Theygot their swagger back with a convincing thirty
two to six victory over the NewYork Jets. Now, John, I

know you've been waiting for this momentto say, pump the brakes, chill
out. It's only one game,and I'm right here to say the same
thing with you as well. Itis the New York Jets. No offense
meant there. The Buffalo Bills scoredthe most points against this very stout New
York Jets defense that they've a lotall season. The Jets offense, as

as we expected with was about astoothless as a West Virginia. It was
unbelievable just even to watch that game, not even as a Jets fan,
but as a football fan. Thatgame set you back so many years.
Like it wasn't It wasn't it wasn'tfair. Like you know what, the
Jets offenses they had a little swaggerAnd I know I've used that word twice

now, uh so I'm I'm hittingup my limit on the swagger usage here.
But they had a little, alittle something something going after Aaron Rodgers
went out a little uh positive vibes, things were heading in the right direction,
and then the wheels, yes,yeah, then the wheels, you
know, then a couple of boltsfell off. Well you know, wheel
wasn't Then a wheel went flat,then a headlight went out. And now

at this point, you know,I mean, John, we talked about
it before the game, and evennow they lost another offensive lineman. That
offensive line is I mean, ZachWilson is not doing himself any favors,
But on the flip side, thatJets offense is not doing anybody any favors.
Yeah, if I'm Aaron Rodgers,I'm not coming back at all.
I actually, I actually I wasso annoying because literally I must be the

only Jets fan that my Bills contingencyknows, because I you know, inundated
with messages, you know, yeahwhatever, it's like, yeah, okay,
double birds to you, pal.But I mean there's a reason why
I'm not quite surprised here. It'sbecause I don't I know, we've talked
about when when we started the season, John with the With the Trust podcast,

it was a lot of what weexpect the Bills to do this we
expect the Bills to do that.But now that we've broken it down to
just a game by game, like, yeah, they they should win,
but we're no longer saying that,we're just going, okay, going right,
game, Yes, this is whatit is. And after the game,
I'm looking at it and going,that's what I expected to happen,
right, Well, that's what weexpected to happen with the New York Jets

for sure. Now though going nextweek, obviously we'll touch up on that
a little bit later on against theEagles. That's going to be a much
much uh, that's that's gonna bea bigger test for that Jets or excuse
me, the Bills defense. Therethey you know, but the Jets offensive
woes just continued again through the throughthe game. I mean, Zach Wilson

was seven to fifteen for eighty oneyards with one touchdown and one interception.
He got the one tuddy over toBreese Hall, but still like that was
the first touchdown in three games,and it wasn't and it wasn't nearly enough
to help bolster that team or helpgive that defense enough to shut the Bills

down. I don't think the Billscame into this game, you know,
fighting for their new OC and allthat. I just I think that they
I think they kind of fell intoyou know, they fell into a good
situation, a good week to fireyou know, Ken Dorsey and replace him
with Joe. Oh my god,I'm brain fighting with his name. But

you know what I'm talking about,the new OC Brady, Joe Brady.
That's it. Yes, they pickeda good week to do that. Hopefully
this gives the Bills momentum they needthough to go to to go to Philadelphia
and face a much tougher team thatalso wears green and white. Well here's
a fun one for you heading intoSunday's game. I saw this prior to
the game. On Sunday afternoon,NFL dot COM's Greg Rosenthal pointed out,

quote, Buffalo is the first NFLteam since the nineteen eighty win Atlanta Falcons
to have not not of a recordabove five hundred after ten games with a
point differential of at least plus seventyfive. So again, they are an
incredible team. But at some pointin time, much like I don't want
to, I guess the really onlyexample I have which it's apples to Oranges

is kind of like John Torderell inthe National Hockey League, and then he
does very well. The message getsstal got you gotta change it up.
It almost seems to me now,granted it happened pretty quick in Buffalo with
Ken Dorsey, but I mean,if again, there's a lot of football
left to be played. If Iwere a betting man right now, taking

a shot in the dark and projectingthe rest of this season, I would
probably say that Sean McDermott is goingto survive solely based on the fact that
the defense has had some sort ofpositive resurgence, despite the fact that they're
playing guys who either were not onthe team at the start of the season
or guys who were not even onthe NFL roster to start this season.
So I think he might get abit of a reprieve there. But then

again, I'm sure I mean,paying him enough. Didn't they sign him
recently? Didn't they re sign himrecently though? So they one thing we've
seen, the one thing we've seenon the hockey side of things with the
Pegoulas is that they don't care topay people who are not here. But
then again, I also believe thatif you're gonna get rid of and we'll
and I'll just mention it here.Sean McDermott on Sunday recorded a sixty eighth

victory as a head coach with theBuffalo Bills, tying Lou Saban for second
place all time in franchise history.Now I want him to win next week.
Yeah, Marv Levy is the alltime leader with one hundred and twelve
victories, as most people would expect. So it's a situation where obviously,
and we talked about this a lotlast week, so I don't want to,
you know, relight the fire here. But Sean McDermott has been successful

in Buffalo. But at what pointin time are you stepping back and saying,
Okay, so they're good, butis this as good as they can
be? Was the best that theycould be thirteen seconds against the Chiefs?
Do they need to change the messageor is this something that they can tweak
a little and can get better goingforward. Well, well, I feel

it's kind of like the Marty It'salmost getting to the point where it's like
the Marty Schottenheimer. You know whereMarty Schottenheimer played Marty Ball did very well
wherever, wherever he stopped, butit always ended up getting cut short somewhere.

the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowland lost, was doing pretty good with
the Washington football team and then overto the then San Diego Chargers and they

couldn't quite get past that hump likethat, that playoff hump. And you
know, I'm wondering if this maybe the new version of Marty Schottenheimer.
Now I say this in spite ofeverything that we talked about last week.

Again to your point with the Pakulas, I don't think that they're gonna pull
a Mark Davis and pay six thousandcoaches because they signed him to ten year
deals and then release them after twokind of thing like he's doing with both
Druden and and racism mc daniels.Racism and stupidity and sexism will do that

about in the past, so withMartin Davis talking about this man cuts his
own hair. He does, hedoes, but what but you know,
I can't see them letting McDermott goafter this season. But I will say
this if next season, unless there'sa catastrophic like downfall from here on out,
in the next three games are gonnabe very very telling for the for

the Buffalo Bills. But if there'sa catastrophic like epic like failure and they
lose out the rest of the season, that I could see them, you
know, let McDermott go then.But I think to your point, he
does get another year with another witha full offseason with perhaps Joe Brady,
and you know, go and givethat the shot. But I'm beginning to

feel and I still feel, eventhough they won pretty big against the Jets,
I still feel like perhaps the messageof the process might be getting to
the point where it's getting stale inBuffalo. I mean, defensively, they
played fantastic that like I said,they're doing as much as they possibly can
with everything that they have offensively,it just seemed like it need there needed

to be a change in the messagethe way that it's being delivered. It
was the first time in seven weeksJohn on Sunday that Buffalo had scored twenty
five plus points. So despite thefact that they were a top offense in
the league. They were simply notscoring points at the clip that they're used
to. I mean, not evenjust this year, the past few years,
and their point differential now at aplus one zero four, which is

fourth best in the league behind Dallas, Baltimore and San Francisco. A fun
stat too, they're home cooking.They improved to twelve and one in Division
games at high Mark Stadium since twentytwenty, including the playoffs. In those
games, Buffalo has posted a plusone point eighty one point margin. So
in a day and age where homefield advantage doesn't feel like a lot,
Buffalo's home field advantage is a realthing. Oh absolutely, and just I

saw it on Monday Night Football nineand one now arguably should be ten and
it's kind of kind of funny.It's kind of funny because you look at

the Chiefs right now, and I'mjust gonna go, I just gotta put
this out there quick to get itout of my head. You look at
the Chiefs right now. They areBuffalo light the first half of games,
crushing it. They are one ofthe I think they're second in points per
game in the first half of agame. Second half of the game,
they're like twenty eighth or twenty ninthif I'm not mistaken. So essentially they

just fall off a cliff. That'sexactly what happened. I'm on the foot,
but not granted. Absolutely don't takecredit away from the Eagles defense.
The Eagles defense kept that Eagles offensein the game, allowed them to cook
when they needed to because that Eaglesoffense was struggling. But again, good
teams are able to do that inteams like Buffalo is going to need to
be able to do that the nextfew weeks against the Eagles, the Chiefs,
the Cowboys. But wrapping up theoffense again, I want to just

something. Zach Wilson is the onlyquarterback that has beaten the Eagles this season.
It's incredible. That's crazy. Andnow he's down to the third string
by black Friday. But now welllook, but now he's got a lot
more time to look for hot moms. So you know, that's what that's
what it loves. If he ifhe's got to be good at something,
it's probably not the worst thing tobe third string quarterback, first string milf

carries for fifteen yards, But theBuffalo Bills motioned on sixty two point nine

percent of their dropbacks versus the Jetson week eleven. We've talked about that
pre snap motion that confuses the defense, that allows to kind of give you
a little more time to make thosequick adjustments or hey, this may open
something up, or whatever the situationmay be. It's the most in the
game for Buffalo since Week nine oftwenty nineteen, and the second highest rate
in the Josh Allen Araso. Again, maybe it's just that subtle difference there,

that small little thing that allows JoshAllen to cook at a bit of
a higher temperature. Now it's funnytoo, because when you look into the
statistics, Josh Allen turns the ballover a lot. That is, it
does when you look at the interceptionsthough in the in the I can't remember
what the what the the name ofthe stat is or like how you look
at it. But in terms ofthe interceptions he has, they're not bad

interceptions. It's it's it's not likehe's throwing up a duck and getting picked
off. It's I'm trying to gofor a hal mary, so like the
arm punts or stuff where it's it'sI think it's like high efficiency or something
like that. I can't off thelook it up and get back to you
and let you know, right.Josh Allen is now tally two hundred and
six career off touchdowns, one hundredand sixty passing, forty five rushing,

one receiving. Don't get that twisted, setting a new NFL record for most
offensive touchdowns and a player forgetting aboutthat one receiving touchdown. I always forget
about it when you do the mathand you go two oh six sixty and
forty five is not two to six. Since twenty twenty, Josh Allen is
now nineteen to three in games thattake place in week eleven or later,
Urecord's much second best in the NFL. In that time frame. He has

this game, John Kinkaid improved aseason total to fifty one, moving him

For some reason, I looked atsix hundred ninety that number looked weird.

So he is a couple handful ofrushing yards away from being in second in
the league and rushing yards so againaneto me, a breakout season for uh,
for James, for James Cook hereso much for his brother. No,

again a lot of people who joinedthe Jets it was a bad move for

laughed at Pat McAfee yesterday on thePat mcaviee Show because he was like,
we were all in and then wewere all in on the New York Jets
in the beginning of the season,and Jets fans were like, no,
probably probably shouldn't, probably shouldn't dothat. We're like, why, oh
you got Rogers, you got this, you got this, you got this,

like you know, it's it's allin, And Jets fans are like,
nah, probably probably not the bestidea. Something's gonna happen at some
point. And then four plays in, you know, and then it just
progressively gets worse, and he wascalling it out. He was just like,
I don't understand this team at all. I don't understand why they they
they had Zach Wilson in for solong. I don't understand why they didn't

go to the offensive line. Idon't know. I'm just gonna I'm just
gonna say hilarious. I'm just gonnasay this really quick. I don't know
that Robert sala had any choice inZach Wilson starting at quarterback. I think
that call came from someone a littlemore powerful, a little more higher up,
because nothing else John, nothing elseas an outseter looking in would make
sense to me, simply because ifif Robert Salad doesn't make the playoffs this

year. I mean, there's there'sa good chance they fire him. Yeah,
and there's a there's a good chancethat that is the wrong move.
I I I'm not I like RobertSala's message. I don't know. I
don't hit The defense is obviously improved, but the offense has gone absolutely nowhere

since even before at before Endy.It's a Todd Bowles era like it's done
nothing, It's gone nowhere. It'sbeen stagnant. So I don't know that
Sala's fully to blame here, Butin the same like, I think you're
to your point there, You're right. I think the Zach Wilson thing came
from Joe Douglas because that was aJoe Douglas pick. It was his first

quarterback he picked, so he didn'twant to fall on his face there.
But you know, we kind oftanked away getting Trevor Lawrence that year when
we decided to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. So yeah, I mean, look,
I think it ultimately is all abouttrust. Do you trust that Robert
sala can continue to have his defenseplay effective? Which I think yes.

I mean it's very much like Seanmcderbott and Buffalo, you go, okay,
can you continue to run it backand be as good as you are?
And the answer has continually been yes. I mean that's what we talked
about coming into this season. Ifthey are as good as they have been,
the Bills will be fine. Obviously, now between injuries and in effectiveness
hasn't been the case. But rightand in a win now league, you
know, it's very much what hasdone for me lately. Yeah, exactly,

it's it's it's you know, yougot to have those. You got
to have at least one, youknow, one season above five hundred.
Whether or not you make the playoffs, you know, at least have one
season above five hundred. I don'tthink Sala has had any more than five
wins in a season. Well,and here's the third one. But this

you're gonna fire somebody, you haveto do it in February jan February.

You can't. You can't go intoa season thinking, if this starts out
bad, we're going to fire thecoach in October November, because then you're
essentially throwing away your season because itjust it just because there there are not
that many football games. The amountof time time it takes to install,
the amount of time it takes toget people up to speed, making sure

It ain't worth it if you're gonnaif you're thinking about moving forward, move

guy who had a breakout game onSunday who may have potentially saved his job
with Leonard Fournette on the practice squad. Don't know when Fournette's going to come

up, if he's ever going tobe activated here, but Ty Johnson had
three carries for twenty two yards,three receptions for forty seven yards, and
one touchdown. It's his first touchdownas a Bill first sense November twenty seven
to twenty twenty two, when Johnsonfaced Chicago as a member of the Jets.
