Trust The Podcast is back after a very big "get right" game for the Buffalo Bills.
Ryan Wolfe is joined by Bills Mafia's favorite Jets fan, John Cimino, to break down everything that went right for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.

Josh Allen and the Bills offense got themselves back on track and the defense also was able to get back to their dominance against a mediocre New York Jets offense.

I am Ryan Wolf joined by JohnsonMeino. John. It is the night
before the Night before Thanksgiving. Idon't know if there's a special if there's
a special word for that, butwe can just call it. I was
gonna say, we can just callit Tuesday. Yeah, well call it

(01:07):
Tuesday. That works too. Afterafter the way that the Jets played this
past Sunday, I certainly would seethem next Tuesday. If you get my
dread. Yeah, I pick upwhat you're putting down there in Buffalo,
man and our rundown here. Theygot their swagger back with a convincing thirty
two to six victory over the NewYork Jets. Now, John, I

(01:29):
know you've been waiting for this momentto say, pump the brakes, chill
out. It's only one game, and I'm right here to say the same
thing with you as well. Itis the New York Jets. No offense
meant there. The Buffalo Bills scoredthe most points against this very stout New
York Jets defense that they've a lotall season. The Jets offense, as

(01:49):
as we expected with was about astoothless as a West Virginia. It was
unbelievable just even to watch that game, not even as a Jets fan,
but as a football fan. Thatgame set you back so many years.
Like it wasn't It wasn't it wasn'tfair. Like you know what, the
Jets offenses they had a little swaggerAnd I know I've used that word twice

(02:13):
now, uh so I'm I'm hittingup my limit on the swagger usage here.
But they had a little, alittle something something going after Aaron Rodgers
went out a little uh positive vibes, things were heading in the right direction,
and then the wheels, yes, yeah, then the wheels, you
know, then a couple of boltsfell off. Well you know, wheel
wasn't Then a wheel went flat, then a headlight went out. And now

(02:37):
at this point, you know,I mean, John, we talked about
it before the game, and evennow they lost another offensive lineman. That
offensive line is I mean, ZachWilson is not doing himself any favors,
But on the flip side, thatJets offense is not doing anybody any favors.
Yeah, if I'm Aaron Rodgers,I'm not coming back at all.
I actually, I actually I wasso annoying because literally I must be the

(03:01):
only Jets fan that my Bills contingencyknows, because I you know, inundated
with messages, you know, yeahwhatever, it's like, yeah, okay,
double birds to you, pal.But I mean there's a reason why
I'm not quite surprised here. It'sbecause I don't I know, we've talked
about when when we started the season, John with the With the Trust podcast,

(03:21):
it was a lot of what weexpect the Bills to do this we
expect the Bills to do that. But now that we've broken it down to
just a game by game, like, yeah, they they should win,
but we're no longer saying that,we're just going, okay, going right,
game, Yes, this is whatit is. And after the game,
I'm looking at it and going, that's what I expected to happen,
right, Well, that's what weexpected to happen with the New York Jets

(03:42):
for sure. Now though going nextweek, obviously we'll touch up on that
a little bit later on against theEagles. That's going to be a much
much uh, that's that's gonna bea bigger test for that Jets or excuse
me, the Bills defense. Therethey you know, but the Jets offensive
woes just continued again through the throughthe game. I mean, Zach Wilson

(04:04):
was seven to fifteen for eighty oneyards with one touchdown and one interception.
He got the one tuddy over toBreese Hall, but still like that was
the first touchdown in three games, and it wasn't and it wasn't nearly enough
to help bolster that team or helpgive that defense enough to shut the Bills

(04:28):
down. I don't think the Billscame into this game, you know,
fighting for their new OC and allthat. I just I think that they
I think they kind of fell intoyou know, they fell into a good
situation, a good week to fireyou know, Ken Dorsey and replace him
with Joe. Oh my god,I'm brain fighting with his name. But

(04:49):
you know what I'm talking about, the new OC Brady, Joe Brady.
That's it. Yes, they pickeda good week to do that. Hopefully
this gives the Bills momentum they needthough to go to to go to Philadelphia
and face a much tougher team thatalso wears green and white. Well here's
a fun one for you heading intoSunday's game. I saw this prior to
the game. On Sunday afternoon,NFL dot COM's Greg Rosenthal pointed out,

(05:14):
quote, Buffalo is the first NFLteam since the nineteen eighty win Atlanta Falcons
to have not not of a recordabove five hundred after ten games with a
point differential of at least plus seventyfive. So again, they are an
incredible team. But at some pointin time, much like I don't want
to, I guess the really onlyexample I have which it's apples to Oranges

(05:35):
is kind of like John Torderell inthe National Hockey League, and then he
does very well. The message getsstal got you gotta change it up.
It almost seems to me now, granted it happened pretty quick in Buffalo with
Ken Dorsey, but I mean,if again, there's a lot of football
left to be played. If Iwere a betting man right now, taking

(05:55):
a shot in the dark and projectingthe rest of this season, I would
probably say that Sean McDermott is goingto survive solely based on the fact that
the defense has had some sort ofpositive resurgence, despite the fact that they're
playing guys who either were not onthe team at the start of the season
or guys who were not even onthe NFL roster to start this season.
So I think he might get abit of a reprieve there. But then

(06:17):
again, I'm sure I mean, paying him enough. Didn't they sign him
recently? Didn't they re sign himrecently though? So they one thing we've
seen, the one thing we've seenon the hockey side of things with the
Pegoulas is that they don't care topay people who are not here. But
then again, I also believe thatif you're gonna get rid of and we'll
and I'll just mention it here.Sean McDermott on Sunday recorded a sixty eighth

(06:41):
victory as a head coach with theBuffalo Bills, tying Lou Saban for second
place all time in franchise history. Now I want him to win next week.
Yeah, Marv Levy is the alltime leader with one hundred and twelve
victories, as most people would expect. So it's a situation where obviously,
and we talked about this a lotlast week, so I don't want to,
you know, relight the fire here. But Sean McDermott has been successful

(07:04):
in Buffalo. But at what pointin time are you stepping back and saying,
Okay, so they're good, butis this as good as they can
be? Was the best that theycould be thirteen seconds against the Chiefs?
Do they need to change the messageor is this something that they can tweak
a little and can get better goingforward. Well, well, I feel

(07:25):
it's kind of like the Marty It'salmost getting to the point where it's like
the Marty Schottenheimer. You know whereMarty Schottenheimer played Marty Ball did very well
wherever, wherever he stopped, butit always ended up getting cut short somewhere.
You know, he was good asthe Broncos head coach. He took
the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowland lost, was doing pretty good with
the Washington football team and then overto the then San Diego Chargers and they

(07:48):
were getting to the playoffs, THEFCChampionship, stuff like that, but they
couldn't quite get past that hump likethat, that playoff hump. And you
know, I'm wondering if this maybe the new version of Marty Schottenheimer.
Now I say this in spite ofeverything that we talked about last week.

(08:09):
Again to your point with the Pakulas, I don't think that they're gonna pull
a Mark Davis and pay six thousandcoaches because they signed him to ten year
deals and then release them after twokind of thing like he's doing with both
Druden and and racism mc daniels.Racism and stupidity and sexism will do that
to you. Well, well yes, but you know, as we talked

(08:33):
about in the past, so withMartin Davis talking about this man cuts his
own hair. He does, hedoes, but what but you know,
I can't see them letting McDermott goafter this season. But I will say
this if next season, unless there'sa catastrophic like downfall from here on out,
in the next three games are gonnabe very very telling for the for

(08:54):
the Buffalo Bills. But if there'sa catastrophic like epic like failure and they
lose out the rest of the season, that I could see them, you
know, let McDermott go then. But I think to your point, he
does get another year with another witha full offseason with perhaps Joe Brady,
and you know, go and givethat the shot. But I'm beginning to

(09:18):
feel and I still feel, eventhough they won pretty big against the Jets,
I still feel like perhaps the messageof the process might be getting to
the point where it's getting stale inBuffalo. I mean, defensively, they
played fantastic that like I said, they're doing as much as they possibly can
with everything that they have offensively,it just seemed like it need there needed

(09:41):
to be a change in the messagethe way that it's being delivered. It
was the first time in seven weeksJohn on Sunday that Buffalo had scored twenty
five plus points. So despite thefact that they were a top offense in
the league. They were simply notscoring points at the clip that they're used
to. I mean, not evenjust this year, the past few years,
and their point differential now at aplus one zero four, which is

(10:01):
fourth best in the league behind Dallas, Baltimore and San Francisco. A fun
stat too, they're home cooking. They improved to twelve and one in Division
games at high Mark Stadium since twentytwenty, including the playoffs. In those
games, Buffalo has posted a plusone point eighty one point margin. So
in a day and age where homefield advantage doesn't feel like a lot,
Buffalo's home field advantage is a realthing. Oh absolutely, and just I

(10:24):
want to jump over to the threebig Things, but continue to obviously talk
about what we were talking about previously. So before we jump back in here,
your three big things are brought toyou by puckluck dot Com. You're

sentence much like it's in double speed. But I was really talking that fast.

(11:09):
So yeah, and now we bringit and now we bring it right
back down to normal speed. Wrappingup the offense here man Josh Allen looked
like Josh Allen and there was athere's a video clip going around the Internet
of him on the sideline saying, quote, I feel like I'm fucking back

(11:31):
And if that doesn't make you wantto run through a wall, I don't
know what does. But John,it's this, Well, he's gonna he's
gonna need to be back, becausethat's that Eagles defense that they they're no
joke, but they're eating one fora reason. I agree, And we
saw it on Monday Night Football nineand one now arguably should be ten and
it's kind of kind of funny. It's kind of funny because you look at

(11:56):
the Chiefs right now, and I'mjust gonna go, I just gotta put
this out there quick to get itout of my head. You look at
the Chiefs right now. They areBuffalo light the first half of games,
crushing it. They are one ofthe I think they're second in points per
game in the first half of agame. Second half of the game,
they're like twenty eighth or twenty ninthif I'm not mistaken. So essentially they

(12:18):
just fall off a cliff. That'sexactly what happened. I'm on the foot,
but not granted. Absolutely don't takecredit away from the Eagles defense.
The Eagles defense kept that Eagles offensein the game, allowed them to cook
when they needed to because that Eaglesoffense was struggling. But again, good
teams are able to do that inteams like Buffalo is going to need to
be able to do that the nextfew weeks against the Eagles, the Chiefs,
the Cowboys. But wrapping up theoffense again, I want to just

(12:43):
something. Zach Wilson is the onlyquarterback that has beaten the Eagles this season.
It's incredible. That's crazy. Andnow he's down to the third string
by black Friday. But now welllook, but now he's got a lot
more time to look for hot moms. So you know, that's what that's
what it loves. If he ifhe's got to be good at something,
it's probably not the worst thing tobe third string quarterback, first string milf

(13:05):
hunter. Anyways, a boy DanOrlovsky pointed out on Twitter was it was
brought onto Twitter by Chris Trapazzo. This is these are the subtle differences.
Thank you for fixing the note here, John, I see that I have
a spelling error, and you're fixingit as we speak here. I appreciate
yets. That's a good that's agood. Hope it there. It was.
It was bugging me, it wasjumping out. I look at look

(13:26):
at when I write the podcast. Now I make sure that my that my
grammar is correct because I know itwill bother you and I'm trying to make
sure I don't do that. That'sall the things you do for each other
here. I appreciate it. Soagain, it's the small it's the small
subtle changes. Josh Allen twenty forthirty two two hundred and seventy five yards,
three touchdowns, one pick which wason a Hail Mary whatever. Five
carries for fifteen yards, But theBuffalo Bills motioned on sixty two point nine

(13:52):
percent of their dropbacks versus the Jetson week eleven. We've talked about that
pre snap motion that confuses the defense, that allows to kind of give you
a little more time to make thosequick adjustments or hey, this may open
something up, or whatever the situationmay be. It's the most in the
game for Buffalo since Week nine oftwenty nineteen, and the second highest rate
in the Josh Allen Araso. Again, maybe it's just that subtle difference there,

(14:15):
that small little thing that allows JoshAllen to cook at a bit of
a higher temperature. Now it's funnytoo, because when you look into the
statistics, Josh Allen turns the ballover a lot. That is, it
does when you look at the interceptionsthough in the in the I can't remember
what the what the the name ofthe stat is or like how you look
at it. But in terms ofthe interceptions he has, they're not bad

(14:39):
interceptions. It's it's it's not likehe's throwing up a duck and getting picked
off. It's I'm trying to gofor a hal mary, so like the
arm punts or stuff where it's it'sI think it's like high efficiency or something
like that. I can't off thelook it up and get back to you
and let you know, right.Josh Allen is now tally two hundred and
six career off touchdowns, one hundredand sixty passing, forty five rushing,

(15:01):
one receiving. Don't get that twisted, setting a new NFL record for most
offensive touchdowns and a player forgetting aboutthat one receiving touchdown. I always forget
about it when you do the mathand you go two oh six sixty and
forty five is not two to six. Since twenty twenty, Josh Allen is
now nineteen to three in games thattake place in week eleven or later,
Urecord's much second best in the NFL. In that time frame. He has

(15:24):
recorded a touchdown pass in nineteen consecutivegames, establishing a new franchise record.
Shockingly, Jim Kelly held that previousrecord at eighteen games between the eighty six
and eighty seven seasons. Since twentytwenty, Josh Allen has tallied a nine
to one record including the playoffs, two hundred and eighty one point five pass
yards per game and a thirty oneto five touchdown to interception ratio against top

(15:46):
five pass defenses the National Football Leaguenow to qualify those teams entered that game
week ranked in the top five ofpass defenses in the league. So again,
when Josh Allen faces an elite passdefense, Josh Allen cooks, he
does. And that's that's the that'sthe kind of production you need out of
out of him every single week, and he's not. He's not been living

(16:07):
up to that in recent weeks. But you know this, this could have
been the kickstarter he needed. Ifhe truly feels like he's f and back.
I have to monitor what I saybecause I do have a guest in
studio right now, but that's underthe age of ten. But uh yeah,
he'll say, say hi, Emma, come over here. I got
untrust the podcast, say just sayhello, hello, hello, all right,

(16:30):
podcast, all right, go backto roadblocks, honey. But yes,
if he's back, you know, like he says he is, then
that that bodes very well. Thosestats vote very well, especially going into
these uh these next few weeks wherearguably this is the toughest test they'll face
until they get to the playoffs.Yeah, I mean this is again I

(16:52):
was. I wanted to find outwhat is the what is the damn thing
here? I'm gonna have to keeplooking here because again I feel like a
lot of Josh Allen's interceptions are notbad interceptions. You're just like, whatever,
that was stupid, But you know, what are you gonna do?
Khalil Shakir wide receiver, three receptionson four targets for one hundred and fifteen

(17:14):
yards and a touchdown. It washis first career one hundred plus yard game
and third career touchdown. And thennobody cares? What was me moment?
John? I was playing my fatherthis week in the Wolf and Center Football
League, which I have had agreat team. I have now since collapsed
epically down to I believe six andfive, despite having an incredible team and
outscoring everybody by at least I thinkone hundred and fifty points the entire league.

(17:34):
Are you the guy in the fantasyleague this year? Because this used
to be me when I played fantasy, except not for when I played for
that I drafted a great team,I drafted a great team. I was
projected to go I think like twelveand two or thirteen and two, and
I've just had ineffectiveness. I meanI went out traded for like Jalen Hurst
and stuff, and you just haveguys who are ineffective. I text you
in the Gear network chat. Takea guess when I picked up Derrick Henry

(17:56):
the week before he went on thisstretch where he's had ten I'm buying points
in two games, but the firsttime, do you do you always?
Does your team score more than everyother team except the one that you that
that you lose to usually? Yeah? I hate that. Yep. It
was my biggest fantasy football angst waswas if I played eight other teams,

(18:18):
I would have whooped them. Thisis actually really funny. When I was
at I was at the pizza wife'sparents house watching watching the Bills game.
Alan just Shakir Shakiir breaks it forthe eighty eighty or eighty one year touchdown
whatever, I think it was eightyone, and I let out as they
were excited, I let out ason of a bitch, and everybody looked
at me and they're like, what, so I'm playing in the fantasy.

(18:41):
The first time this happens. Theonly time this happens is when I'm playing.
It could be that's why I hadto quit, man, I had
to stop. I had to stopplaying fantasy football like it was fun.
But when it started getting to thepoint where I was rooting against the home
team, that's that's where. ButI kind of drew the line. And

(19:02):
you know, if I didn't careso much about you know, either the
either the Jets or or my mytrust the podcast team here the Bills,
I probably wouldn't care and I'd probablyplay. But because I do, I
can't play with that. I can'tplay the game and watch the game as

(19:22):
a fan. It just doesn't workwell for me. So that that's But
that's funny though. It's always funnyto hear stories like that from others because
I was once others and now I'mnot. I mean, for reasons like
that. Yeah, don't get atwisted I'm not upset that he's scored a
touchdown. I'm just like, man, what are the odds that I'm the
one that's gonna get screwed on thisone? And it was me? It

(19:44):
was it was that was the one. It is what it is, you
know, I I lost. Anyways, I got my ass completely kicked.
But again, yeah, you moveon, you move forward, and you
look, I guess down the roadfrom there, because again eight team league,
not hard to make the playoffs.Just got to make the playoffs.
And all of my teams, allof the players I have on my team

(20:06):
are off green coming up in termsof matchups. So okay, we'll see
what happens. Although Cooper Cup,you know he needs to like his ankles
replaced her something. But anyways, tight end Dalton Kinkaid six receptions on seven
targets for forty six yards looks goodagain on Sunday. With six receptions in
this game, John Kinkaid improved aseason total to fifty one, moving him
into third place on Buffalo's all timerookie reception list. K Trell's only Joe

(20:27):
Cribbs had fifty two to nineteen eightyand Sammy Watkins Sammy Watkins in twenty fourteen.
My cat actually named after Sammy Watkins. Her name is Sammy because the
day that Sammy Watkins was traded tothe Los Angeles Rams was the day we
got her, which is how Ialways remember that there we go. I
think it's always fun to see thosenames during the drought era pop up,

(20:52):
as I remember everybody excited over SammyWatkins, and I don't think he really
produced a whole lot in Buffalo duringthis time here is probably why he was
traded. But in the saying like, I just remember, I remember an
era where you know Watkins was here, Marshawn Lynch was here. You know
you got a taroll Owen stopped byfor a cup of coffee, like it

(21:14):
was. Those were very interesting times. Yeah, I mean you look at
it here, and it's just funto run down the list of names.
I mean, we're gonna have todo it at some point in time here
and we need a podcast. Yeah, we just look back and go,
you know what, wow, wow, Just there are even even that,
not even like the old old bills. I'm talking the bills since maybe the

(21:37):
Music City Miracles since I started watchingthose. There are some names on that
list, but a name on thecurrent list. John James Cook running back
seventeen carres for seventy three yards, three receptions on four targets for twenty nine
yards, and a touchdown. Gettingthe run game involved as well as getting
the run game involved in the passinggame was it was a big point,
a small, nice little change. On Sunday, crazy stat here James Cook

(22:00):
in the NFL with six hundred andeight eight rushing yards, trailing only Christian
McCaffrey eight hundred and twenty five rushingyards, and then he's close Rare Hee
mostered six hundred and ninety one.Uh, and then DeAndre Swift in uh,
what do you call it? Philadelphiasix hundred and ninety rushing yards.
For some reason, I looked atsix hundred ninety that number looked weird.

(22:21):
So he is a couple handful ofrushing yards away from being in second in
the league and rushing yards so againaneto me, a breakout season for uh,
for James, for James Cook hereso much for his brother. No,
No, that was a that wasa move for him. But then
again a lot of people who joinedthe Jets it was a bad move for
them this year. Yeah, yeah, it was funny. You know,

(22:41):
it's funny going back into my Jetssoapbox here on This Bill's podcast. I
laughed at Pat McAfee yesterday on thePat mcaviee Show because he was like,
we were all in and then wewere all in on the New York Jets
in the beginning of the season, and Jets fans were like, no,
probably probably shouldn't, probably shouldn't dothat. We're like, why, oh
you got Rogers, you got this, you got this, you got this,

(23:02):
like you know, it's it's allin, And Jets fans are like,
nah, probably probably not the bestidea. Something's gonna happen at some
point. And then four plays in, you know, and then it just
progressively gets worse, and he wascalling it out. He was just like,
I don't understand this team at all. I don't understand why they they
they had Zach Wilson in for solong. I don't understand why they didn't

(23:26):
go to the offensive line. Idon't know. I'm just gonna I'm just
gonna say hilarious. I'm just gonnasay this really quick. I don't know
that Robert sala had any choice inZach Wilson starting at quarterback. I think
that call came from someone a littlemore powerful, a little more higher up,
because nothing else John, nothing elseas an outseter looking in would make
sense to me, simply because ifif Robert Salad doesn't make the playoffs this

(23:51):
year. I mean, there's there'sa good chance they fire him. Yeah,
and there's a there's a good chancethat that is the wrong move.
I I I'm not I like RobertSala's message. I don't know. I
don't hit The defense is obviously improved, but the offense has gone absolutely nowhere

(24:14):
since even before at before Endy. It's a Todd Bowles era like it's done
nothing, It's gone nowhere. It'sbeen stagnant. So I don't know that
Sala's fully to blame here, Butin the same like, I think you're
to your point there, You're right. I think the Zach Wilson thing came
from Joe Douglas because that was aJoe Douglas pick. It was his first

(24:36):
quarterback he picked, so he didn'twant to fall on his face there.
But you know, we kind oftanked away getting Trevor Lawrence that year when
we decided to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. So yeah, I mean, look,
I think it ultimately is all abouttrust. Do you trust that Robert
sala can continue to have his defenseplay effective? Which I think yes.

(24:56):
I mean it's very much like Seanmcderbott and Buffalo, you go, okay,
can you continue to run it backand be as good as you are?
And the answer has continually been yes. I mean that's what we talked
about coming into this season. Ifthey are as good as they have been,
the Bills will be fine. Obviously, now between injuries and in effectiveness
hasn't been the case. But rightand in a win now league, you
know, it's very much what hasdone for me lately. Yeah, exactly,

(25:19):
it's it's it's you know, yougot to have those. You got
to have at least one, youknow, one season above five hundred.
Whether or not you make the playoffs, you know, at least have one
season above five hundred. I don'tthink Sala has had any more than five
wins in a season. Well, and here's the third one. But this
is the same. The same withSala is the same with McDermott. If
you're gonna fire somebody, you haveto do it in February jan February.

(25:42):
You can't. You can't go intoa season thinking, if this starts out
bad, we're going to fire thecoach in October November, because then you're
essentially throwing away your season because itjust it just because there there are not
that many football games. The amountof time time it takes to install,
the amount of time it takes toget people up to speed, making sure

(26:03):
you have the right guys in theright spot, in the right system.
It ain't worth it if you're gonnaif you're thinking about moving forward, move
forward. But speaking of I'm justsorry, I was just thinking about where
I was on the podcast here,Time of Possession. A guy, a
guy who had a breakout game onSunday who may have potentially saved his job
with Leonard Fournette on the practice squad. Don't know when Fournette's going to come

(26:26):
up, if he's ever going tobe activated here, but Ty Johnson had
three carries for twenty two yards, three receptions for forty seven yards, and
one touchdown. It's his first touchdownas a Bill first sense November twenty seven
to twenty twenty two, when Johnsonfaced Chicago as a member of the Jets.
Also putting a bow on the ohA pace of play here. As
a team, Buffalo ran the ballthirty eight times. Two of those rushers
were kneel downs, at one hundredand thirty total yards three point four yards

(26:48):
per carry not super sexy. Buthere's the thing. They ran seventy one
total plays to the Jets fifty five. They controlled the time of possession thirty
six minutes and fifty one seconds totwenty three minutes in nine seconds. And
if we're going to beat teams likethe Eagles, the Chiefs, and the
Cowboys, you have those are thekinds of things that you need to do.
I mean that keeping keeping the ballalmost fourteen more minutes then the other

(27:11):
team is essentially suffocating them. Yeah, and that's what the Buffalo Bills did
very very well this week against theJets. That time of possession stat right
there is a's a that's a bigone. And to your point as well,
to be able to do that againstthe teams like the Eagles the Cowboys
that you know that you know areloaded on all you know, all sides

(27:32):
of the all sides of the footballthere, that's gonna be that's gonna be
the key there, because I don'tknow that I as we move along,
and I know we got to breakdown the defense still, but as we
you know, start to discuss nextweek's game, I don't know how much
I trust the Bills defense against theEagles offense. But we'll get real quick
too. Gabe Davis had another gamewith Let me just get the thing here.

(27:56):
I want to get the quote herefrom from Joe Brady regarding gave Davis.
Gave Davis the second time in lastthree games he's been held without a
catch. But Joe Brady had praisefor for Gabe Davis. He said,
quote, you don't just show upon Sunday and have success. Gabe Davis
had zero catches in the game, but in my mind, he was the
player of the game. He talkedabout how Davis was, his blocking,

(28:18):
his his his just being there, being available, being ready to go.
All the stuff that he did withoutcatching a ball apparently made him a very
valuable part of the offense. Imean, I still listen, the Buffalo
Bills are going to pay him toomuch money to probably not. I would
really hope not. I really wouldhope not. But he's this is a
contract year for Gabe Davis, andif not him, who's it going to
be opposite of Stefan Diggs? Rightright? It may still be him,

(28:44):
but it's probably not gonna be forthe money gave Davis. You know what
would want or feel that he woulddeserve, you know. But in the
same you know, every that thatjust you know, plays the uh that
just feeds the the narrative of everyposition being an important part of the overall
team, not necessarily having to havecatches, touchdowns or whatever, but the
presence on the field you're aware withall blocking and making, you know,

(29:08):
helping create opportunities for your teammates. You know that a lot of a lot
of times. That's actually great feedbackto tell on a podcast because all we
talk about stats all the time, but we never talk about like the little
things like that that actually matter. You can't have the time of possession like
that, or you can't have thestats that you have as a team without

(29:30):
those important pieces you know in there, you know, helping with the protecting
and the blocking and things like that. So that's actually really cool to hear.
Absolutely, I'm sure it'll put someAaron's tires to and kind of get
some wind in his sales if youwill. I know, I'm just cliching
it up here, but kicker TylerBass four for four on field goals forty
eight thirty thirty three and fifty yardfield goals two for three and extra points

(29:51):
the one thing John before to moveover to the defense. It's a thing
called turnover worthy play percentage in twentytwenty three. Despite the fact that Josh
Allen has a ton of turnovers,he is coming into this week second best
in the league behind Joe Burrow.Josh Allen is a two point four percent
turnover worthy play percentage in twenty twentythree. Just some names above him,

(30:11):
Lamar Jackson at three point zero percent, Jalen Hurts three point two percent,
Patrick Mahomes three point three, JustinHerbert three point three. It's a pro
football focus that we've talked about PFFhere before, but it is quote a
critical a stat to consider what avaluating quarterback play as it is all encompassing.
Look to look at the passer's abilityto take care of the football.

(30:33):
So, as Dani Rolobski pointed outin the tweet that Michael F. Florio
commented on, since Week one,Josh Allen has had three bad decisions slash
inexcusable interceptions. As always, contextmatters with Josh Allen. We don't ever
get the context. We're always justgetting, Well, he turns the ball
over a lot, Okay, Yeah, but the turnover worthy play, very
very low. Now talking about thedefense. Here, quarterback Rasuell Douglas,

(30:56):
a Brandon beaned find hit the jackpotat the trade deadline. Douglas had four
tackles, two solo, three passdeflections, two picks, and a fumble
recovery. It's his second career multiinterception game. He had two picks versus
Cleveland on December twenty fifth, twentytwenty one, as a member of the
Packers. He became the first Billsince nineteen ninety eight to tally two picks
and a fumble recovery in the samegame. Kurt Schultz did this last on

(31:18):
September twenty eighth, nineteen ninety eightversus the Saint Louis Range. I remember
Kurt Schultz, and also Douglas hasabsolutely hit the ground running in Buffalo since
being acquired at the trade deadline.I wouldn't be surprised if we see him
stick around for a little while longerafter the season, just because he has
stepped in as CB one and donean incredible job. As mentioned, absolutely,

(31:41):
you know, it's one of thosethings where next man up. We
talked about weeks and weeks ago whenwe were talking about the defensive loes and
the injury bug and how badly ithit Buffalo. Next next man up,
and he's stepped in and he's doingthe thing and keeping him in games.
So with that was with a slighthesitation, I was waiting for you to

(32:02):
say that's a true story, becauseI would have that's lost it. No,
no, I I thought about it, but no, the the actual
analysis came afterwards. So but yeah, I mean, either way though,
whether or not it's a true story, it's it is. But regardless,

(32:22):
next person up and he's living andhe's living that. And the Bills are
playing fluidly, you know, orat least played fluidly this game because of
it. So to see that, you know, it always builds that momentum
going into the next game and thenext game after that as they're being as
they're continuing to be tested. Butthis team is doing what they're doing to
stay afloat on the defense, likeeverybody thought. I know, I was

(32:44):
one of those folks that thought, once all those defensive players are going out
that that that was the weak spotof the of the team. And it
turns out it may not be theweakest spot in the team. And and
play like that certainly helps. Therewas a sack party on Sunday. Man
Buffalo recorded six sacks, five tacklesfor loss, Yeah don't I've passed deflections,
and eight quarterback hits on Sunday afternoon. Leonard Floyd had two and a

(33:06):
half sacks Tyrol. When you havenobody up there defending him, I mean,
it's easy correct. If the Billshad recorded no sacks on Sunday against
that offensive line, that would bea that would be a point of conversation,
because again, ultimately an absolute pointof conversation, it'd be a very
different It'd be a very different story. It'd be like, well, you
know, yeah, the Jets, the Jets. Then it really could have
been narrowed down to just Zack Wilson'splay, you know what I mean.

(33:29):
I mean right now, the Billshave had a had a pension for playing
down to their opponents. On Sunday, they played up to their opponent.
I mean again, Leonard Floyd twoand a half sacks, Tyrol Dotson had
a sack, Terrell Bernard had ahalf a sack. At Oliver had a
sack shack loss and also had asack. Dodson also recorded. It was
his first sack of the year, and he also recorded his first force fumble
of the season on Sunday. Oliver'ssacked on Sunday such a new career high

(33:51):
of six sacks for passing a careerhigh of five and twenty nineteen. Leonard
Floyd's two and a half sacks markthe most he's had in a game in
Buffalo, and the second most anda single game in his career. He
had three sacks as a member ofthe Rams against the Seattle Seahawks on November
fifteen to twenty twenty. Floyd alsobecame the first Buffalo defender with multiple sacks
in both games of a season seriesversus the Jets, first to do it

(34:14):
since Bruce Smith accomplished his feat innineteen ninety. Unbelievable stat right there.
Floyd's nine and a half sacks thisseason are most by a Buffalo defender since
twenty seventeen. Defensive tackle Jordan Phillipsalso had nine and a half sacks in
twenty nineteen. But when I seeyou, but when I see you,
wrote Seattle Up there, Floyd havingthree sacks as a member of the Rams

(34:36):
versus Seattle on November fifteen, twentytwenty, and for some reason, they
triggered this thought here on Madden NFLtwenty four, I decided to relocate the
Seattle Seahawks to Tokyo, Japan.Love it? Why? I don't know.
I didn't realize they put Tokyo,Japan in the game as a place
for relocation. But I'm thinking whynot. I've got a couple leads on

(34:59):
why you did it, but youknow those we will discuss off the air.
Perfect, yes, but they arenow in Madden twenty four World,
the Tokyo Dragons. I love it. That's the name that they gave them.
I don't know. I'm gonna waitfor three more seasons, though,
so I can relocate them to SanDiego. That's a roundabout way of doing

(35:19):
it, but I love it.Yes, indeed, it'll be the San
Diego Dragons. Buffalo allowed only onehundred and fifty five yards of total offense.
There are a few ascents allowing fiftythree versus the Jets. On January
ninth, twenty twenty two, Buffalodid not allow a third down conversion,
holding the Jets to oh for eleven, so the first time since nets ridiculous,
the first time since nineteen eighty seven. John that Buffalo prevented an opponent
from tailing a successful third down conversionwhen they held the Indianapolis Colts to oh

(35:44):
for ten and December thirteenth, nineteeneighty seven. You know, if you're
gonna go down, go down ina blaze of glory, set records,
you know what I mean, Setrecords on your way down? Why not?
I think that was my dad's twentyfirst birthday? Was it eight?
Because he was born in December thirteenth, nineteen sixty six. So yeah,
the last time the Buffalo Bills preventeda team from having a third down conversion

(36:06):
was my father's twenty first birthday andI had just turned seven that year.
Let's see, he's gonna be Decemberfifth, fifty seven this year, fifty
seven. Look at you, Randy, Randy, give him a good shout
out there, that old Papa Wolf, that old god damn bastard. Anyways,

(36:28):
cornerback, if he hears that,he'll beat my ass at Thanksgiving.
It's all good. Cornerback Dane Jackson. Cornerback Tarron Johnson left the game with
the head injury, did not return. No update at this time. The
defense was falling, dropping like flies. That's been that. That's been them
of the defense this season. Alsoa little more serious safety Taylor Rap left
the game and an ambulance with theneck injury converted. Post game he was
not taking the hospital and said senthome no update there. I hate to

(36:52):
be so insensitive here, John, but I am surprised watching Taylor Rat play
football. I am surprised it tookthis long for him to get hurt because
he plays. I know, Iknow you, being Puerto Rican, John,
don't find Nascar very interesting. Youfind it kind of dumb. But
I know, well, not evenbeing Puerto Rican, just being a human

(37:15):
being. Most people think Nascar isdumb. But you've seen a big nasty
car crash at like Daytona where ittakes out like twenty cars at two hundred
miles. That is how Taylor Ratplays football. It's crazy. That's a
tough way to play. He throws, he throws caution to the winds and
it's just like, bro, Iam going to try to destroy you without

(37:37):
without realizing that he himself is destroyinghimself. Right hopefully, right, so
hopefully. I thought I thought Iread something that he might be that he
might be okay to play the Eaglesgame, but I'm not sure. I
mean, it's it's pretty it's prettywild when a guy doesn't a stretcher job
in a football game and then comesback the next week. So we'll we'll
see you right right. It couldhave it could have been somewhere. It

(37:58):
could have been on X. Hadbeen an X article that was forwarded to
me, and no one reads thatanymore. So, I mean, it
is the platform for nazis. Soyou know something, We're gonna take a
quick commercial break here. What away to end the first half the Yeah,
we'll be back right here after thisquick break, we don't get canceled
with more Trust the podcast here ona Gear radio network, and we're back

(38:22):
here on Trust the podcast thankfully notbeen canceled yet. But it's good when
you have the owner of the networkon your podcast. I was gonna say,
I talked to the owner of yournetwork. I think he was okay
with it. You know, hejust basically shut the door and said f
off. But I think I thinkyou. I think you have the sound
on your soundboard what he said whenyou asked him, I'm glad to sound

(38:45):
up. I'm glad you picked upwhile I was putting down. Very good

dog, good good good, goodjob there, Pizza queen. Yeah,
she is the best. Injuries strikeagain, John Thursday Night Football Too took
two great football players off the fieldfor the remainder of the season. Baltimore

(40:14):
tight and Mark Andrews reportedly suffered acrack fibula and ankle ligament injury on a
drop hip tackle. Is what it'sbeing called, a tackle in which they're
trying to ban from the game makeit illegal because it is essentially almost guaranteed
ten times out of ten to injurethe person you are tackling. Now,
Baltimore's head coach John harbaughd did comeout and say that they had some positivity

(40:37):
in the MRI and the injury maynot be as bad as the originally seemed.
Looked pretty freaking bad when it happened, but we'll keep you posted on
that one. Another injury that lookedreally bad, Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow suffered
a torn ligament in his right throwingrisks. This will be the end of
the season for Joe Burrow. Butthe controversy here, John, is that
Burrow was spotted wearing a compression sleevelike brace this week was excuse me,

(40:59):
was not on since Natty's injury report, which we know the NFL takes very
seriously. Yeah, you can't bedoing that. You can't be doing that.
Teams football, teams got to bebetter. And you know, player
safety being a big thing, especially, uh that a very very dumb move
by the Cincinnati brass th Well,I know you say player safety being the
being paramount there. I think it'sit's gambling that is paramount, because obviously

(41:20):
the NFL does not want teams tobe affecting the outcome of betting, which
then looks makes the NFL look badand can piss a lot of people up.
But yes, they care about asthey accept, as they accept sponsorship
money from you know, Draft Kingsand fan Duel and all them. But
yeah, and what about the olddays when wing what about the old days
when like boner pills were always Nowit's all gambling stuff. We we were

(41:42):
once, John, we were oncea solid, good country and now look
at what happened. I man,I got nothing for that. As I'm
as I'm hitting the point of mylife where I may need the Boner pills.
Now it's hey, it's all good, man. You know there is
no shame, no shame in yourgame. Man, God damn get killed.
Comeback kids. Everybody loves a comebackstory in America. As Andy Dwyer

(42:07):
once said, Detroit overcomes quarterback Jaredgoff season high three picks and a late
twelve point deficit to move to eightand two on the season. John.
They are eight and two for thefirst time in the Super Bowl era.
Last happened in nineteen sixty two.I am Detroit making the Super Bowl and
could you imagine if it end upbeing against like the Cleveland Browns, who

(42:29):
are shockingly like eight and two themselves. This team, look at this team
has got something going for it,and it is unbelievable how they are all
buying in and they all fit thatsystem. So like you know when you
play Madden and it's like, oh, obviously, you know you in the
Tokyo Dragons, You've got a guywho's a scheme fit. I feel like
everybody on that team is a schemefit, Like everybody fits what message they're

(42:52):
trying to get across what type offootball they're trying to play? John,
They trailed twenty six to fourteen withfour minutes and fifteen seconds in the game.
They scored a touchdown and a sixthplace seventy five yard drive that lasted
one minute sixteen seconds. They thenforced Chicago to a three and out in
twenty six seconds, scored a touchdownon their next drive, and eleven place
seventy three yard drive last and twominutes and four seconds, which that is

(43:15):
incredible. On the next drive,Chicago was strip sacked, which was led
to a safety. Aiden Hutchinson almostran it in for the touchdown, but
the offensive lineman wisely kicked out atthe back of the end zone. Detroit
then received the ball back with asafety kickoff and knuted the ball for the
win. So John twenty six tofourteen with four to fifteen left in the

(43:36):
game. Detroit was trailing with twentytwo seconds left in the game. They
led thirty one to twenty six.Unbelievable. It's the Chicago Bears, right,
but holy shit, that's impressive. This is Yes, it's the Chicago
Bears, but in the same they'rea professional football team full of adults.
Yeah, you know what I mean. So it's not like, yeah,

(43:58):
okay, it's just a Chicago Bearsin the same way where it's like,
oh, it's just the New YorkJets. Like these are actual professional football
players on a professional football franchise.Like it doesn't matter how poor they are.
To be able to do something likethat to them is impressive, you
know. So it's not like they'replaying like the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL,

(44:21):
you know what I mean, Likethat you could probably expect them to
do. I wouldn't expect them tobe losing to the Birmingham Stallions at all.
But in the saying Detroit Lions playor score, if they played a
peewee team, probably seventy. Iwould hope sixty nine. There we go,
that works too. Speaking of impressive, Detroit defensive tackle Aiden Hutchinson six

(44:45):
tackles too, solo, one sack. They go offensive lineman just picking up
that little kid in the pee weekand just running with them, costing them
one second one quarterback kid. Hutchinsonbecame the first NFL player in his with
fifteen sacks and four interceptions combined intheir first two seasons. Looks like Detroit

(45:06):
nailed that pick. Speaking of speaking, yeah, speaking of nailing a pick
man assaulting the record books. Despitethrowing a season high three interceptions, Houston
quarterback c J. Stroud continued hisimpressive rookie season. He finished Sunday going
twenty seven for thirty seven for threehundred and thirty six yards, two touches,
and the aforementioned three picks in atwenty one to sixteen victory of the

(45:28):
Arizona Cardinals. His two strouds twentynine hundred and sixty two passing yards are
the fourth most ever in a player'sfirst ten games. He joined Cincinnati quarterback
Joe Burrow as the only rookies inNFL history with three hundred and more passing
yards in three consecutive games. Houston, at six and four, now has
doubled their win total from last season, and have now won three games in

(45:49):
a row for the first time sincetwenty eighteen, when they won nine straight
games, which I don't ever rememberthat happening, probably because Houston normally is
dogwater. I remember when Houston wonnine games in a row. I think
that was during the Deshaun Watson era. I rememb actual assault. Yeah,
yep, yep, certainly, certainly, indeed, but I remember that.

(46:14):
But you know, don't look now, folks, the Houston Texans, they
have them their quarterback. Now,hey, I kind of I kind of
am on the train though with likej jj Watt where I'd like to see.
You know, it'd really be niceif, like how the Charlotte Bobcats
made a deal with the New OrleansPelicans to take over the Hornets name.

(46:34):
I really wish like the Titans andthe Texans could come to some sort of
consensus, some sort of deal tojust return the oiler's name back to Houston,
because it'd be great. I knowyou've mentioned that before, and I
agree with that. But the onething I thought you're the one way I
thought you were going with this. The direction here is that if you watch
the Pat McAfee show, and JJWatt is on every single week, they
are actively campaigning for jj Watt toretire in Ghosts sign with the Houston Texans

(47:01):
this season, because again, thatwould be incredible first off, but they
were talking about like, you'd bethe first guy in the history of the
game to have your name in theRing of Honor while actively playing on the
field. It would be hilarious.I don't think it's gonna happen with J.
J. Watt's still in great shape. I just had to make and
he's still in great shape, Ithink. I think though, I think
the reason was health was why hehe Yeah, I mean he was getting

(47:24):
he was getting his family out.Yeah, he was getting I mean he
was getting hurt quite often. Butthen I think it was it was the
what was it the cancer scared.Didn't have a cancer scare. He had
his heart, his heart heart,That's it. That's what it was.
So I think that all kind ofyou know, I'm glad he's in great
shape, and I'm glad he's providinganalysis, but you know, I'd rather

(47:45):
not see him on the field,to be honest as the just the human
side of me. It would beit would be fun, though, but
that that should not him probably won'thappen. Looking ahead, John, if
the season and today, the BuffaloBills would be the eighth seed officially in
the hunt. For the New YorkTimes, their playoff predictor, the Buffalo
Bills have a twenty four percent chanceof making the playoffs without anything else happening
right now. If the season endedtoday, which obviously it does not.

(48:07):
Baltimore would be the one seed.Pittsburgh would travel to Kansas City to take
on the Chiefs. Pittsburgh, whojust fired their offensive coordinator Matt Can Right,
yeah, because that offense is awfuland if Pittsburgh didn't have a good
defense, they probably would be inthe bottom. They are the ugliest seven

(48:27):
or eight win team now in theleague. They like. I That's where
me, as a Jets fan,it looks at him like, what the
hell, dude, we can't evenget that, you know, Yeah,
I mean again, Mike Tomlin buildsPittsburgh defenses for sure, but yes he
does that. That offense is godawful. But anyways, right now doesn't
matter. They're in the playoffs. They would face the Chiefs in Kansas City.

(48:50):
Houston would travel to Jacksonville to takeon the Jaguars, and the Miami
Dolphins would play host to the ClevelandBrowns and Dorian Robinson tom Centered I can't
remember d RT. I love thenickname. I just love they say d
R T. And I'm like,that's a great nickname, but it's his
name, so you know, yeah, I was thinking. I was thinking
about that in my head as I'mtalking here. Sorry. Uh. The

(49:13):
NFC Philadelphia shockingly would be the oneseed Minnesota would play in Detroit. That
would be a great game with JoshDobbs at quarterback. That his even though
even though the luster kind of woreoff a little Monday Night football with another
improbable uh Denver Broncos comeback uh fromfrom Russell Wilson. I don't understand.

(49:34):
Yeah, I don't understand that.That how it happened, but it's it's
happening. He's cooking and I don'tunderstand it. But apparently the recipe unlimited.
I just leaned back to say thatin the back of my neck crack.
So that's probably a sign that Ishould not do that anymore. Seattle
would head it to San Francisco, which actually, funny story. We're going

(49:55):
to see San Francisco and Seattle onThursday night football for th Giving and then
Dallas but head the New Orleans becauseeven though Dallas is much better than the
New Orleans, New Orleans wins theirdivision and therefore they get a home playoff
game, which again still stupid, but I digress. Week twelve, the
Buffalo Bills at the Philadelphia Egs arguablyone of the games of the week,

(50:15):
four twenty five pm on Sunday onCBS. John, I gotta say too,
I'm really loving the four to twentyfive starts for the games simply because
you can. Yeah. I thinkit's get the house really well, you
get the house cleaned up, youhang out, you get some food,
you get some munchies, you getsome drinks, whatever, you hang out,
you relax. Awesome. Game startsout four twenty five about halftime,

(50:36):
you know, six six thirty. You start to get ready. You know,
hey, after this, i'mn'na goup in shower. I'm gonna go
get in bed for Sunday Night Football. So what I do is I start
to get ready. I you know, after the game's over, I run
upstairs, hop in the shower, seven forty five, eight o'clock, I
get into bed. I'm not sleeping, but I'm in bed watching Sunday Night
Football. A seamless transition. It'sover there, you go, that's that's

(50:58):
not too bad. That's not toobad at all. I actually like the
four to twenty five games too.I just think it's the perfect sweet spot.
That way I can kind of usemy sunday'd either be super lazy or
just really get shit done. Andyou know the four to twenty five,
Like when it starts at like ninethirty, and it goes like it's cool,
like the one week, but whenyou start doing it like two,

(51:20):
three, four weeks, it's like, Okay, I got stuff to do
and and and then you know, during the early football season, as a
cheer dad that has to go todifferent competitions in different freaking areas thirty forty
five minutes away from where I live, it's nice to be able to,
you know, not necessarily have aone o'clock game to come home to.
That's the Aaron Rodgers effect. Havingthe effect on the jet schedule that it

(51:45):
did has been great this year despitethe terrible football play, because I've been
able to see all the games becausethey've been on four to twenty five or
later or some kind of primetime. But as a Bills fan that has this
happened regularly, I would think fortwenty five sweet spot well, and the
reason for those who love the oneo'clock games, I get it. You

(52:07):
can wake up really early, goget super shitty at the at the game,
climb into the pit if you wantto fall into the pit for the
new Bill Stadium, do whatever youwant to, go crazy, folks.
You know, I forgot about that. But with how with how many years
John that we would watch the Billsat one o'clock? We mean, my
dad, myself, my brother didn'treally give a shit. You have an

(52:30):
entire afternoon to be pissed off aboutthe Buffalo Bills, you know, Yeah,
yep, Well if they lose atfour twenty five, you're like,
ah, shit, Well anyways,I'm gonna take a shower and go to
bed, wake up tomorrow and itain't gonna matter. Well, you're in
mine and in that era when you'retalking about you know, your brother was

(52:50):
watching four twenty five games all thetime because the team he root, he
roots for, rooted for. Idon't know now, but you know that
that was. And now your turn, Ryan, you get all the four
twenty five games. Yeah, thetwo words for you go Bills Philadelphia,
nine and one. I swerve onthat one nine and one first in the

(53:12):
NFC East the first season. Orare we signing off now like that's a
sudden sign off? No, thatwas not No. I just wanted to
Uh, I was gonna just gimmickinfringement. All right, They've scored two
hundred and seventy three points. Theyhave a lot of two hundred and twelve
points. They've won four straight games. ESPN Matchup Predictor says fifty four point
one percent of America believes Buffalo willdefeat Philadelphia. I find this hard to

(53:35):
believe, but John, I'm guessingall of every single one of Bill's Mafia
and voted on that. It's ananalytics based thing. But here's the deal.
Here's the deal. I was secretly, well not so secretly, because
I'm sick of the Chiefs winning allthe time. I was secretly rooting for
the Eagles to win last night becausein momentum, momentum is not a real

(53:59):
thing. Right, But when youlook at when you look at things,
well, here's the deal. Whenyou look at it, Momentum isn't real
when you're in it. Momentum isreal because you get them good vibes rolling,
you're feeling real good about it.It just continues to kind of those
juices are flowing, the vibes aregood, everything's good, everyone's happy,
awesome, great. Philadelphia has lookedincredibly vulnerable recently. Now I could be

(54:21):
saying this now on the twenty first, you could come back next week.
What's next Tuesday, because again normallywe podcast on Tuesday nights. You could
come back here on the twenty eighthand say, Ryan, aren't you fucking
stupid? Because again, if ithappens, I'll more than eat the crow,
I'll take my medicine whatever. ButPhiladelphia to me has looked vulnerable.
They've looked normal, much like theKansas City Chiefs I Monday Night football.

(54:45):
They look normal, They looked vulnerable, they look beatable. Right so with
the Eagles being nine to one, they're due for a stinker at some point
in time. What better time thanright now against a Buffalo or resurgent one
game, don't get too far aheadof yourself. A resurgent Buffalo. Bill's
offense and defense that that feels abit galvanized, a bit revitalized by the

(55:07):
fact that they fired Ken Dorsey anddidn't really change much offensively, just a
couple of tweaks here and there, and that defense just again, it's not
the Bill's defense of we're the topthree defense in the league. It's a
different defense, different identity right nowbecause of who's hurt and who's actually out
in the field playing and what they'replaying as. But they're they're they're doing

(55:28):
something right right now on defense andoffense. If they can continue to pick
up where they left off on Sunday, could be a long afternoon phid of
Philadelphia Eagles. So again it couldbe my thought, get the run game
going, gonna be very tough againstthat that front for the Philadelphia Eagles.
But control the time of possession. You have to score touchdowns. You cannot,

(55:49):
cannot, cannot kick field goals, right because if you kick field goals,
you're gonna let them hang around andthey will find a way to come
back and stomp yourrass. They're avery very good team for a reason.
They're not nine and one by accident. They didn't make the Super Bowl by
accident. They've got a very goodoffense, a very good defense, a
very smart coaching staff. But again, if they win, I'll probably be

(56:14):
a little surprised. If they lose, i won't be very surprised. But
I'm looking at Sunday's game as anopportunity for the Buffalo Bills to shock the
world a little and get themselves backon the track to a playoff spot well
I would. I'm gonna say Idon't know, only because you know,
yes, while the one in thenine and one for the Philadelphia Eagles came

(56:36):
at the best of the New YorkJets, you know, we have to
consider what the Jets were, youknow, all those weeks ago, versus
what they are now. Right andKansas City or excuse me, Philadelphia,
their pattern is as follows. Firstfive weeks Patriots, Vikings, Bucks,
Commanders, Rams win followed by theloss of the Jets. So in my

(57:01):
data and analytics world here, I'mthinking that's the pattern. It's a five
to one ratio. So now they'vehad the Dolphins, Commanders, Cowboys,
Chiefs win. Buffalo would be thatfifth game. I going by that theory.
I think Philadelphia loses next week tothe forty nine Ers. I think

(57:21):
they get by the Bills this week. I don't think it's going to be
a runaway game at all. Ithink it's going to be a very close
game. I just it's that thatstupid brotherly shove play. I don't think
that the Buffalo Bills will be ableto stop that in any way because no
one has so yeah, no one, no one has. But also I
mean, my daughter is yelling atme down the stair. I hear you,

(57:45):
Pizza Baby, you're going with theEagles too. I take it,
Hey, punk, can you saygo Bills? There you go. She
loves her Buffalo Bills. She lovesher Buffalo Sabers. I've done a very
good job as a parent so farin the first two years of her life.
But yeah, I mean again,I'm just at this point, same

(58:07):
as last week. I just hopeboth teams have fun. I hope we
have a good game in store forus on Sunday afternoon. I mean,
it's gonna be a great week offootball overall. On Thursday, we've got
Thanksgiving. We've got the John MaddenThanksgiving Games where it's gonna be the Lions
are playing at twelve thirty. Andthen you've got the Cowboys playing the Commanders,
So the Lion's Bay the Packers. The Lions should roll, and it

(58:27):
should be a lot of fun towatch the Cowboys play the Commanders. The
Cowboys should roll. That'll be alot of fun to watch. And then
we've got that what is it,the trip to fan or whatever rolling through
your blood. And you've got themthem Pumpkin pies and apple pies and the
people strudle whatever. I don't know, whatever you guys, whatever, that's
a that's a callback right there.Whatever you're doing on Thanksgiving night, Turkey

(58:52):
the only thing getting stuff done onThanksgiving them I'm struggling. The forty nine
Ers and the Seahawks play on Thursdaynight night. And the Tokyo Dragons,
the Tokyo Dragons, the Gino Smithand the Tokyo Dragons. You know,
Smith may not play. It's gotan elbow problem. Uh, Bruce tricep
whatever. Don't know if you play, But either way that's gonna be a

(59:13):
lot of fun as well. Soagain, a lot of a lot of
big matchups have not lived up tothe hype this year. Hoping that one
does. But John, hoping goodnews one way or the other. We're
gonna be back here, same time, same place, talking about the same
thing, the Buffalo Bills next week, each and every week. But and
always keep it keep in mind too, and remember no one circles the wagons

(59:37):
like the Buffalo Bills. Thank you, you got that right now. With
that being said, I feel likeI had something else I had to say.

(01:00:21):

metamorphosis, if you will, shiftin philosophy. It's really it's really worked
out very well for me personally. And you know, I'm I'm just happy

We have been sick on and offsince the end of September, so it's
really just I know, I stillgot to get my damn flu shot.

(01:01:29):
I haven't done that this year yet. You know what I did that.
I listened to doctor Travis Kelcey andI got my flu in my COVID at
the same time. It was notbad for me. I can't speak to
other people, but I did thatlast year. I did that last year,
and I did it the last twoyears, and the first year it
kind of took me out. Thesecond year, I did okay, like

(01:01:50):
the first day, and then thesecond day I started feeling it. Then
the third day I was like, yeah, okay, leave me alone.
And then my wife and my wife, who was a medical professional, as
we've discussed on on one of thepodcasts here in the past, said to
me, did you get them bothat the same time. I said yeah.
She goes oh and I said yeah. Travis Kelcey saw commercially said I
could do it. So I didit. And she thought I was serious,
and yeah, no I was.I mean, I did it.

(01:02:12):
It was fine. I think thisyear I'm only gonna do the flu one
just because I want to see.I want to see what my chances are.
Well, you know, you knowif my wifi's signal did get a
lot stronger after I got my COVIDthrilled about that. Yes, indeed,
