Holy crap, dude. Yeah, the feeling too. Before we get
into anything to fin last week, we're talking about man.

(01:34):
You as a as you know, Bill's Mafia's favorite Jets fan,
and me as obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Did Oh the Jets do the Jets. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
The Jets different podcasts for a different time. But you
know what, at least, hey, you got to give them
credit here where it's due. I have not read the
article yet. I want to read that article is talking
about in our trust the text message uh chain here.
But you know what, if at least if you're gonna
screw things up, be new, be innovative. Don't do it
the old boring way, do it.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
The new way.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Like the Buffalo Sabers where the owner flies into Montreal
to talk to the team, which according I'm listening to
a hockey podcast about it. They're like that never happens. Yeah,
and then the Savers came out and get their asses
completely handed to them worse than before. So it's like,
you know, new and innovative ways. If you're gonna suck, Hey,
we're not going to trade for a guy because his
Madden rating was low. Like all right, that's actually pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
So they're not. So the Buffalo Sabers are not going
to go by the NHL twenty five ratings for their
their players.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
It's funny because Terry Pagoula around COVID time, they fired
a bunch of people. They down they downsize their scouting department.
They do a lot of video scouting down and a
lot of traveling to actually physically go watch the game.
So to my friends, I was like, you know, they
could just really save a lot more money by firing everybody.
Go by a PS five it's what like four or
five hundred bucks and you go just go update the rosters.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
You'll be fine. Yeah, I tell you. That is how
the New York Jets win in in in football is
through the video game world.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Well, and not to mention too, if they are basing
their trades off of Madden, it's a Madden from a
few years ago, just judging by the people that they've
been acquiring.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
But again must must be yes, you know, the only
reason why I take the Jets truthfully and they Uh.
And Madden is because when you when you go into
the franchise mode, you have like three options. You could
play as the player, you could play as just a
head coach, or you can play as the owner. And
when you select the owner, you essentially fire the old owner.

(03:38):
And so it gives me great joy to begin every
Madden season, uh, the very first time I do a
franchise mode saying that the name of my cat is
the is the new owner of the New York Jets,
and that and that Woody Johnson was retiring. That's amazing.

(03:58):
Gives me great joy. He well, if he does. Apparently
apparently his seventeen year old kids lobbying for it.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
So you know, someone made a good point too. His
name's would he his son's names brick Man? They love
naming themselves after mail Genitalia. Anyways, bringing it back trust
the podcast, John Finally, we talked about it last week. Dude, Yes, like,
oh man, it would be great if like the Bills
were a part of a game that was considered a

(04:26):
potential game of the year. If they, you know, every
once in a while sprinkled in a win and well, hey,
it happened, I mean again the Bills. The Bills returned
to the win column with a forty eight to forty
two slobber knocker against Detroit Lions. John forty to forty
two never seen it before was a score of gami,
the one thousand, ninetieth unique final score in NFL history.

(04:48):
But not just that, the Bills moved to eleven and
three on the season, and eleven and three for the
third time in five seasons.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
And with that eleventh win, Sean McDermott put some respect
on his name. Shocking that you hear me say that
after the summer I've said about him in this podcast
in the last Fight five episodes.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Well, you know what, not for nothing. He's still worth
a joke and the ala ach bar references are still
gonna come no matter what.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely absolutely. He becomes the fifth coach in
NFL history to win five, having five straight eleven win seasons,
joining Bill Belichick, Tony Dungee, Andy Reid, and Tom Landry.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
A bunch of humps if you ask me, right right, right, yeah,
A couple couple of couple of hammeneggers.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Buffalo is the first team in NFL history to snap
multiple nine game season winning streaks in the same year
both Kansas City and Detroit. This game featured one thousand
and eighty total yards combined, the third highest game of
franchise history or the third highest combined total in franchise history.
It was the sixteenth time in NFL history both teams
topped five hundred plus yards in a game. Buffalo scored

(05:51):
thirty points for the eighth straight game, making Buffalo the
fifteen all time to score thirty plus points in eight
consecutive games, in the first to do it since the
twenty thirteen Broncos. Also, they surpassed forty points in consecutive
games for just the third time in franchise history, doing
it in nineteen ninety and in twenty twenty one. Also,
the Bills have scored one hundred and twenty five points
in the last three games combined, marking their second highest

(06:14):
three game total within one season. John, the Buffalo Bills,
I would say, are hitting their stride. But at the
same time, the defense will talk about it. I don't
think you necessarily expected the defensive output against the Rams,
but this game going in, you knew defense was going
to be optional, and it certainly was, but it stepped

(06:35):
up when they needed to, which allowed Buffalo to get
a couple extra possessions, slow down the Detroit lines, and
score more points. So and again, well we'll talk about
it moving forward because that judging the game by that
is a disservice. But John, what were your immediate thoughts.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
On this victory for the Buffalo Bills. I thought, if
honestly to be truthful, and this may be just me
being a bit of a homer here with Josh Allen,
but my immediate thought was if there were any doubts
whatsoever that Josh Allen was the MVP, he silenced those

(07:14):
doubts in this game. The dude is just playing on
a level that you can't say very few because there's
like he's starting to hit only person in NFL history
category with some of the things that he's been doing.
And to be perfectly honest with the Bill's mafia, the

(07:37):
reason he is the MVP in my eyes is if
you take Josh Allen out of this equation right now,
it's a forty two twenty four loss. Like, Josh Allen
truly is the MVP of this team. He is the
He is the reason that they are in the position

(07:58):
that they are in right now, and I cannot be
convinced otherwise. That is why he is the MVP. I
truly believe that if Lamar Jackson were to be injured,
I do think that they have enough on the on
the Baltimore Ravens, especially with the leadership of somebody like
Derrick Henry, you know what I mean. But like this

(08:19):
is supposed to be a rebuild year. Yeah, Josh Allen, Well,
he lost his number one receiver. All these guys.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Conversations, the conversations are all starting to pick up john
with with what we thought Patrick Mahomes was the best
player in the world right now, and it's it's clearly
Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
I mean, did you see the stats I sent you
guys comparing Patrick Mahomes' stats to Aaron Rodgers. Yep, this year,
like Aaron is having a better season than him. Believe
it or not.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Hearing those people in the sports world who often are
it's Patrick Mahomes one everybody else too, to hear them
now come around and say no, that this guy, Josh
Allen is making strides that you would want a player
to make. It's be taking him a little longer to
make those strides because again, he didn't come out like
Pat Mahomes and win all the time out of the gate,

(09:06):
but he has developed into a leader, into a into
a guiding light for this franchise. I mean, just looking
at it this year, it's it's it's crazy for me
to be in it because again it's it's well documented.
I I've liked the Red Sox for a very long time.
I've liked the Bills for a very long time, the
Sabers for a very long time. More often than not,

(09:30):
those teams to combine are not very good. Uh So
it's it's it's weird when everything is going right and
everyone nationally is starting to look in at you, going, hey,
what what's going on here?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
What are we missing?

Speaker 3 (09:42):
And as as the spotlight has gotten brighter, Bills have
gotten better. Oh yeah, and Josh Allen no homer here
the best player and the best football player in the
world right now, hands.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Down, point out John not to things of this podcast
today and not to go back on the soapbox here,
but again, when you lose Stefon Diggs, when you let
Mitch Morse walk away, when you I mean they brought
back Michael Hyde but when you let Michael Hyde and
Jordan Poyer go away and you say, look at excuse me,

(10:17):
you are the new number one. You are.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
It's your team, Josh Allen, it's it's a rebuild year.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Pressures off.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Excuse me, because even if the Buffalo Bills did take
a step back, look at the rest of.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
The a f C East.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
The Bills disrespect to the rest of the a f C. Yeah, no,
disrespect to the rest of the AFC East. But Buffalo
could have could have fumbled their way into the playoffs
and as the a f C East champions. Because again,
the Miami Dolphins are I don't want to say any
curse words and make anybody upset.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
This week. We're sorry, mister and missus Downey. We missed,
we missed. Our apology are pology to them. Last week
we were on a we were on like a three
or four week streak of apologizing to the to miss.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
You know what, you actually, you know what, that's funny
that I mentioned the dickless Dolphins, because you know it
was it was I would say it was sent to
me in a message, but it was it was put
a put on my desk. This news came across my desk.
Scientists have figured out that snakes have clitorises.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
I don't know what to do with that information. But
why did me talking about Chris Downey's parents bring that up?

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Because I said, the dickless Miami Dolphins. Because they're they're
they're they've got no direction. I am, so I'm going right,
I'm going to the three big Things on behalf of
Ryan Wolf. We are so sorry, Thank you. I appreciate that.

the offense, John even more impressive than Josh Allen, and

(12:17):
it takes a lot to be more impressive than Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Offensively. On Sunday, the.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Buffalo Bills had sixty eight total offensive plays five hundred
and fifty nine total yards of offense. It's the fifth
most in a game of franchise history.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
John.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
They averaged eight point two yards per play. That is
is average for those out there who may have forgotten,
that's almost a first down per play, right exactly?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
How the hell do you stop that? You don't? You can't.
It's hard. I mean the Lions almost did, don't get
me wrong, although a lot of their points kind of
came after the game was.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Will yeah, don't no, maybe no spoilers will tease it,
but there's there's there's. Look at this game looked like
on paper like the Rams Bills game from two weeks ago.
If you dig a little deeper and start to kind
of roll back, peelback layers of the onion. This was

(13:19):
a dominating victory for the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen twenty
three thirty four, three hundred and sixty two passing yards,
two passing touchdowns, no picks, eleven rushes for sixty eight
yards and two rushing touchdowns. Head coach Sean McDermott on
Josh Allen postgame quote, every week we're watching an incredible
player play incredibly consistent week after week. And I'll let
you guys fill in the rest of the sentence. I mean,

(13:42):
you could, you could seriously make that a mad lib
in people would just have a field day with it,
because there are so many different things, so many different
ways you can explain Josh Allen. And I mean the
first thing I think of, remember that white lady on
the plane that was screaming and saying, you're not ef
in real all. That's what I think about Josh all
whenever he plays them, Oh yeah, you're not real.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Posted it on social media myself during the game where
I was like, I don't believe Josh Allen to be human,
Like there's just no way, like some of the players,
like it was, what was it third and two could
easily have run this play, run get it first down. Nope,
just gonna chuck it down the field. They'll find a
wide open player with right in the bread basket. Perfect play.

(14:26):
Like you just you can't teach that.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
You know, when you just get that unkit that weird
uncontrollable like tickling feeling in the in the cockles of
your heart, that the gut region of your body. And
you just just start laughing uncontrollably because you don't know
what else to do.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Where are you getting tickled? There?

Speaker 3 (14:46):
That's that's Josh Allen playing football.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
You just don't know what to do. You start laughing.
You just where's he getting tickled? Whereabouts he getting tickled the.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Cockles of the heart.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
I can't say cockle without saying what I don't know owls. Anyways, proceed.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Josh Allen, a postgame scare, visited the X ray room,
took a funky fall. As he put he said, everything
checked out more precaution than for peace of mind. Funny
funny thing I saw on the internet too, because you
know me and that damn TikTok. I'm trying to get
my time before Joe Biden bands it, before Donald Trump
comes in office.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I saw a TikTok that referred to as the only
reason why I signed up for it. I just wanted
to say.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
The Tom Brady of Cam Newton's I was like, that's
interesting way to put it.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
That is that is that is surprisingly very accurate.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
I mean I sent it to a friend and they said,
that's no, and I'm like, no, it sounds it's pretty accurate.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
No, it's it's it's pretty on par. I mean, Cam
Newton almost freaking won a Super Bowl. Cam Newton was
no slouch at all. Like, no, he did not there
of his body.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Well yes, he's also his body sold him out kind
of too, because his shirt a little bit ripped apart
and didn't come.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Back to it. But Prime Cam was pretty freaking crazy.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
If you could bottle, if you could bottle prime Newton,
Prime Newton, prime Cam Newton up and stretch it out
over career. Absolutely, you're something though that Cam Newton didn't do.
Ready for this one. What's that the fastest fifty plus
yard pass at next Gen stats are There have been
seventy completions of fifty plus air yards in the next
Gen Stats database. Josh Allen's sixty four yard completion to

(16:27):
Keon Coleman spent two point four to seven seconds in
the air.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Geez.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Now, obviously there was there was run after the catch,
but it was so it was not sixty four yards
in the air. But sure, yes, this is the fastest
fifty plus yard throw ever seen in the next gen
stats air. The Internet has it clocked at about forty
four miles per hour.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Wow, which is at that Yeah, pretty good for a football.
No wonder why he had to get his shoulder looked at.
The screw came loose from that freaking from the Adamantium,
you know, the rocket arm.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
The rocket arm had to get checked out. It's got
the best line in the league as well, John Yes.
Per exten Stats, Josh Allen completed twenty three to thirty
four for three hundred and sixty two yards and two
touchdowns against the lines, recording an average time to throw
of three point four seconds, his longest in a game
since Week seventeen of twenty twenty one. He accumulated one
hundred and seventy one passing yards on throws outside the pocket,

(17:19):
the most in a game by a quarterback since Week
fourteen and twenty twenty one.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Russell Wilson, a one hundred and seventy.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Five offensive lineman Alec Anderson, told The Athletic quote, I
think it's just because we do our job and we
don't expect praise for it. It's kind of like you're
doing what you're supposed to do. It's that I hate
to say it, it just popped into my head, but
it's that blue collar mindset, work ethic. Look at you
don't got to you don't gotta tell me how great

(17:44):
we are. We see it, and that seems to be
the I mean, health has been on the Buffalo Bill's side.
This offensive line has been together for a while. But
also again, they all have the same mindset of hey,
you know protect seventeen, let him, let him cook and
everything will work out.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
It has.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
But like I said, it's kind of just like you're
doing what you're supposed to do. And damn it, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
He's playing damn near perfect football right now. And it's
hard in a league filled with professional football players, athletes
of the highest caliber, to be able to be that
consistent and play that well. You know, I just it's

(18:32):
it's right, it's hard to put into words. Just how
do you describe this? This is uncharted waters really for
lots of us.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Well, hey, and again for the second week in a row,
we are doing the history of the National Football League
with Josh Allen. He is the first player in NFL
history to record multiple passing touchdowns, multiple rushing touchdowns, three
hundred and fifty plus passing yards and sixty plus rushing
yards in the same game, including playoffs. It's the fifth
consecutive season with thirty five combined passing and rushing touchdowns,
passing Brett Farves season stretch that was the previous record.

(19:03):
Josh Allen is three total touchdowns away from making it
forty plus combined passing and rushing touchdowns in five consecutive seasons.
His two plus passing and two plus rushing touchdowns in
the same game marked the sixth such career game, extending
his NFL or his NFL records at last week. Allen
is the first player in NFL history with at least
two touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in consecutive games,

(19:24):
and the first player all time with three such games
in a season. He tied Patrick Mahomes at seventy four
wins for the second most regular season wins by a
quarterback in their first seven seasons in NFL history.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
It is the fifth straight game.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Of the rushing touchdown time, the longest streak of Allen's career.
He's the only quarterback in NFL history to record multiple
streaks of five or more consecutive games with a rushing touchdown,
and the second quarterback in the National Football League to
post multiple streaks with two rushing touchdowns. Philly quarterback Jalen
Hurts has three such streaks with the touch push which
whatever Josh Allen now has stupid play six four career

(20:00):
rushing touchdowns. One Shire time Hall of Fame running back
Thurman Thomas had sixty five for most rushing touchdowns in
franchise history. Also, Josh Allen was named the AFC Player
of the Week Offensive Player of the Week, marking the
eighth time this season a member of the Buffalo Bills
has been named the Player of the Week for the AFC,
marks the most in a single season in team history.

(20:23):
So again, not only are the Buffalo Bills playing pretty
damn well, but they have players being named Offensive Player
of the Week so many times that they've had eight
players named in fourteen fourteen games.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
It's not bad, not bad at all. That's a pretty
good ratio. I don't have the math and the calculator
in front of me, but that's a very very large
percentage of that of the season has been dedicated to them.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
In his last three games, Josh Allen has been sacked
zero times, fumbled zero times, zero interceptions, and one negative play,
which Sean was the kneel down against the Detroit Lions
to wrap up the game. MVP watch in full effect
at the Rams and at Detroit forty five of seventy
one seven hundred and four passing yards, five passing touchdowns,
with twenty rushes for one hundred and fifty one yards
and five rushing touchdowns. He has eight hundred and fifty

(21:11):
five total yards and ten total touchdowns in the last
two games combined. He is the second player all time
to have seven hundred plus passing yards and one hundred
and fifty plus rushing yards over any two game span.
Michael Vick accomplished this in twenty eleven. John, But the
big difference not that we are doing it, but we're
gonna do it. In twenty eleven, Michael Vick had four
total touchdowns and five interceptions over those two games. Josh

(21:35):
Allen ten total touchdowns and no interceptions. So again, an
impressive feet an impressive feet in its in its own right,
but also at the same time, anything you can do,
I can do better.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yeah, he's he's definitely. I mean, he's I don't know,
I feel like I'm going gaga and fawning over the
dude for the last two weeks. But really, when when
you put together this, you know, resume and you and
then you consistently top yourself and you know, you talk
about what he brings to the table. Buffalo Bills scored

(22:09):
down near fifty points last week. They scored over forty
the week before, even even in defeat, scored over forty.
Like this, the term high powered offense doesn't even begin
to describe what this thing is, what he's doing for
this team and what he does for this offense me
and I gotta be honest too, you know, we talk

(22:29):
about Josh Allen with the MVP, but you got to
give it to the stones of the freaking the higher
ups and the general manager and all that kind of saying,
look at we're taking the risk of letting our number
one go and letting all these players go and putting
the keys in Josh Allen's hands solely, And I mean

(22:51):
that was a gutsy move and it's paid off extremely
handsomely for them, Like it's just wild to me.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Well, you mentioned the one thing I wanted to add
to your sentence about them scoring a lot of points
in two straight games is they did it with relative ease.
They did not face a lot of pushback, resistance, whatever
you want to say. But again, when when the when
the final episode on this season wraps up, hopefully in February,

(23:22):
we'll be talking. The one thing, excuse me, will continue
to look back at is there was a vision for this,
for this new Buffalo Bills, the next foot forward. I
don't know that anybody expected it. And and that's and
this is this is why I say it. I don't
think that anybody expected it to happen this fast, because,

(23:44):
first off, Josh Allen's development has has skyrocketed through this season,
but so much so that the Buffalo Bills are are
are buying what they're selling. They they believe, they believe
in this, probably believe, they trust the process, they believe

(24:05):
one Buffalo whatever whatever cliche you want to throw out there,
but they believe it is so much so that they
realize very.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Quickly, oh, hey, this is going somewhere. We should probably
do something about it. What can we do?

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Oh, let's go out and get Amari Cooper, who mind
you on Sunday had no targets and no catches and
was thrilled about it. It's it's crazy to see that
everybody is buying in and everybody is on this, on
this this ride of.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
A lifetime right now. Absolutely, I mean could end at
any point in time, but it could.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
You're working around the league right now. You beat the
two best teams in the league statistically right now, and okay,
but they continue to trust that process and follow along
and not step out of line and pay Look at
we could get here, we could be better there, but
we are, we are. This is the goal we set
out for and we're and we're making it happen. And again, HM,

(25:01):
trust in the process. James Cook hundred fourteen cares for
one hundred and five rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, one
reception on one target for twenty eight yards. He's got
the third most rushing touchdowns in a single season all
time by a Buffalo Bill. Only Oj Simpson with sixteen
and nineteen seventy five and Josh Allen with fifteen touchdowns
and twenty twenty three have more rushing touchdowns in a season.
We talked about it last week. Hey, look at James Cook.

(25:24):
Was a non factor against the Rams. Got a final
way to get him involved.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
They did.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
He had an incredible game. James Cook and Josh Allen
are the second Buffalo combo with eleven plus touchdowns in
the same season, joining OJ Simpson and Jim Braxton in
nineteen seventy five. OJ had twenty three Jim Braxton had
thirteen touchdowns. They're also the first Buffalo combo with two
plus rushing touchdowns each in the same game since Josh
Allen and Devin Singletary both had two rushing touchdowns versus

(25:49):
Atlanta on January second, twenty twenty two. Also, Buffalo's twenty
seven total rushing touchdowns this season are the second most
all time in franchise history, behind the twenty sixteen edition
of the Bills that had twenty nine rushing touchdowns. Now,
nine different players recorded at least one target on Sunday,
and Joe Marino on Twitter points out that six different

(26:10):
players in this eight game streak of thirty plus points,
six different players have led the team of receiving yards,
so it's not the same guy every week. Khalil Shakir
has done it three times, Keon Coleman once, Ray Davis wants. Maccollins,
Dawson Knox, and Ty Johnson all did it once. Kean Coleman,
first game since November third versus Miami, had one reception
on two targets for sixty four yards. Dalton kin Kaid

(26:31):
his first game since November tenth at Indianapolis four receptions
on seven targets for fifty three yards. The big one here,
Ty Johnson, running back two carries for nine rushing yards,
five receptions on five targets for one hundred and fourteen
receiving yard, which establishes a new career high. Ty Johnson
the first Bills running back to surpass one hundred receiving
yards in the game since Fred Jackson in twenty tens.

(26:54):
Three catches of twenty plus yards, most Biobills running back
in a game since Thurman Thomas did.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
It Week two of nineteen ninety two. Can I just say,
Can I just say, since we mentioned, since we're mentioning
Freddie Jackson here, I wish if we could, if we
could take one player from the draft era, like and
and you know, wish that he could be here playing
during this run. Fred Jackson would have been would be that.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Guy, Fred Jackson Kyle Walliams and Stevie Johnson.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Those are my yess yes, yes, for sure. But it
would be it would have been such a it had
been such a treat I think, for to have Fred
Jackson being a part of this, you know what I mean.
It's just you know, eras I.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
Agree, And it really seems like the Buffalo Bills offensively
have uncovered something with Ty Johnson where he may not
run the ball all the time, Dude, you may have
ball in that guy's You throw a ball in that
guy's direction. Mm hm, catching and running, catching and everything.
And that's and that's what you got to be in
today's NFL. You got to be multi talented in a position.
You know, long gone are the days where a quarterback

(27:56):
just throws the ball and a running back just runs
this way and and tight ends just block like. You
got to be able to cover multiple areas. We talked
about Josh Allen all the time. You know he can throw,
but he can run. And now Ty Johnson, you know
he's a running back by by default, that's what he does.
But being able to catch the ball, receive and receive

(28:16):
two that opens up so much more double you know,
dual running back factions that you could play, and they've
got three guys who can effectively running catch the ball.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
That is that is insane.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Because before it would be like, oh, well you got
James cooking on you know, first and second down, and
then third down, hope here comes Ty Johnson.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
They're gonna throw to Ty Johnson.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
It's like that that goes away because all of a sudden,
now you don't know, they could just have him and
they could be giving James.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Cook to drive off. They could be throwing a ball
a Ti Johnson. You don't know.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
And that's those are the types of things that you
developed throughout the season. So when you pull them out
in the playoffs, teams are like, excuse me, we can't.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Get a read.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
You know they put if they put Dalton kin Kate
on this side of the line, they're going to throw
it to I don't know, Keyan Coleman every time.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
No, right, I just making something up like that. Just
they've done a very very good job of you know,
put filling in all the parts and backfilling all the
parts too, and that allows them to kind of mix
and match and you know, drop these schemes here. Joe Brady,
I expect he's going to be a head coach somewhere.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
I you know you mentioned that, but I almost wonder
if he may go the Ben Johnson route, especially and
I know, again different conversation for a different time, but
you look at you look at what happened with Brian
Dable or what's happening with Brian Dable in New York
right now. And I believe Joe Brady was in the building,

(29:47):
so he's I would presume, has some sort of relationship
with Brian Dable at least and knows him whatever.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
I know that there are only thirty.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Two jobs in the national football to be a head coach,
and your opportunity may never come again. At the same
but at the same time, there's something to be said
for a guy like Ben Johnson betting on himself saying
I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I'm also going to try to win in Detroit.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
But I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity. And I would
hope for Joe Brady's sake that that's what happens, because
if not, Brian Dable might be the Bills offensive coordinator
again next year, which.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Choke me, but not in a good way choke me, bizz.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
But appropriate Ryan passed. I just wanted to make sure.
I wanted to make sure nor that I am not
I don't think shame John, but I don't want people
to not know or to know that that is not
something I would enjoy.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
But out there for those in listening in listener land
right now, Traditionally when we record this podcast, it's during
the day when we're you know, maybe a bit more
on the go and and a bit more kind of
zoned in or whatever. And very rarely is Ryan the Celtic.
I mean, I still bring the Shenanigans. But Ryan, are
you gonna tell but man, past eight o'clock at night,

(31:06):
almost past.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
My bedtime, John, But I was gonna tell you. The
reason why I'm feeling in such a good mood is because,
you know, since my birthday, since October, you know, I've
been I've been pretty sick. Right, Yes, it's been a
running gag for fin and they gave me some steroids
and antibiotics. I got some blood test done to figure
out why I get sick and can't stop being sick.

(31:29):
So we're getting it all figured out. But also at
the sad going, I feel pretty good right now. And
I also just took some more medicine before I came
on a podcast.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
I'm feeling good after this podcast, I'm gonna be doing something.
I'm gonna taking some medicine too. That's fair. It's legal.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
I was gonna say legalize it, but it's already I legal.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Yes, it's except for.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
The places around me where I live that are like, man,
we could, we could get away with selling some stuff,
and then they sell cannabis illegally and they get shut
down and then they like they like, oh yeah, because they.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Because they can't tax the hell the state can't tax
the hell out of them.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
John, It's the slut shaming of cannabis, of facilities whatever
you call them stores, right the vape stores. So they'll
like board the door up and put his sign on
the window that says like this place sells illegal marijuana,
and you're like, okay.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
So like the one place down the street from me
opened back up just a couple of days ago, and
like they still have the wood doors up. They just
put like a big sign over the wood doors like
clerks that's like.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
We're open.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
To the side door, which I'm like, that's hilarious, but
again does crack me up because it's like, okay, in
New York State, you don't need to be a snitch.
But anyways, back to the podcast, John Buffalo. It's the
first time in team history the Bills have had one
running back with a one hundred plus yard rushing game
and a different running back with a hundred plus yard
receiving game including the playoffs. James Cook and Ti Johnson
the first running back duo in the NFL since twenty

(32:55):
twelve when Pierre Thomas and Darren Sprolls did it to pass.
That was a damn good there to surpass one Hunter rushing,
one Hunter receiving in the same game. Also, the Bills
did a triple superlative is what it was referred to
on the internet.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
What does that mean?

Speaker 3 (33:10):
Ryan one hundred yard plus yard rusher, one hundred plus
yard receiver and three hundred yard passer in the same
game for the eleventh time in franchise history and first
time since December twenty fourth, twenty sixteen.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
I was going to say, John guess, but you can
see the notes here.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Seaw McCoy L Shaw McCoy did it rushing, Sammy Watkins
did it receiving, Tyrod Taylor did it passing.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
So even though that.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Time of the Buffalo Bills was fun, much.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
Better now, sure, oh yeah that was, but that was
you know, kind of when things were starting to begin,
you know what I mean around there was actually hope.
There was hope there and then and then you know it. Yeah,
it was a fun time. But now it's like this
is this is way different. We're in way different times.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Now when when you would watch Tyrod Taylor throw the
ball forward and you would go, they allow the Bills
to have a guy who can.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Do that right right, exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Moving over now wrapping up the defense and special teams, John,
I'll tell you what got me fired up on Sunday,
and I did mention this in the trust of the
podcast text message change here, Sean McDermott said something to
the to the effect of to CBS, I believe the
game was on. I can never remember, Yeah, CBS, Columbia
Broadcasting System. They said, defensively, it's all about attitude now,

(34:28):
And okay, I was checked up for because again they
haven't played very well, right right, right, but coming with
that attitude and don't just flat out don't take anybody
shit the rush defense fifteen carries for forty eight yards
three point two yards per carry, one rushing touchdown at Oliver,
who was dragged all last week before this game. They

(34:53):
overpaid for this guy. He's got no pressure nothing, blah blah.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Shut up.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Four total taxles, three solo, Johnny had a sack, three
quarterback hits, ten quarterback pressures. Second amongst qualifying defensive lineman
in week fifteen with a twenty three point eight percent
pressure rate per next Gen stats. At Oliver generated a
season high and I believe it maybe even a career high.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Couldn't confirm.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
He seasoned high ten pressures on forty two pass rushes
against the Lion, the most pressures in a game by
a defensive tackle this season. Oliver had the majority of
his pressure, seven out of ten, come against Lions left
guard Graham Glasgow. Also defensive end Greg Russo showing up
once again. Four total tackles, three solo, a sack, a
tackle for a loss, three quarterback hits, and also ten

(35:40):
quarterback pressures. He was third amongst qualifying defensive lineman in
week fifteen with a twenty two point seven percent pressure rate.
So again, let me take a deep breath. Against the
Rams of the Buffalo Bills had no pressure at all
on Matt Stafford. He was cooking all day long. And
it was probably because they were playing a lot of
specific coverages that definitely played into the hand of one

(36:03):
Matt Stafford. But this week against the Detroit Lions, man
that builds defensive line. Again, they allowed a lot of points.
We'll talk about that in a minute, but boy did
they put a lot of pressure on that offense. It
certainly helped that that David Montgomery went out with a
knee injury. But Jamior Gibbs, he's no slouch. They just

(36:23):
couldn't get a run game going and said you're a
have to beat us in the air, and and really couldn't.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, no, And and the kudos to them. They they
did what Bill Belichick was always known to do, which
is kind of, you know, zone in on one specific
type of either player or attack or scheme or something,
and just attack that and make them beat you some
way out somehow somewhere else. You know. Jared Goff, though,

(36:48):
I I got to give it to him, dude, did
he played a very good game. He played it, he
played he played his ass off that game. You're you know,
you're absolutely right, and so I got to give him
his due. He's he's a very, very good and I
believe truly very underrated quarterback in the National Football League
and he should get his flowers there for that.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
But is a guy, is a guy that that definitely uh,
coming out of the Los Angeles got a got a
raw deal, I feel like, because again, at the end
of the day, you look at it, and they did
him dirty because they wanted they were like, this guy
cannot win us a super Bowl whatever, Uh, excuse me.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
And then he comes to Detroit and he has a
guy that says.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Hey, look at I believe in you one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
And yeah, they have taken off and that has been
the greatest.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah. Absolutely far from afar for sure. But you know,
going back to you know, the defensive performance at the
you know in the beginning of the game especially, you know,
that's the attitude that they need. They need to come
out immediately swinging, punching people in the mouth and setting
them back. And you know, if they can, if they
do that could consistently continuously. I mean the next two weeks,

(38:01):
they should really be punting. It should be a very
it should be a cake walk for them the next
couple of weeks. But if they do that and set
that tone in the playoffs, they're going to be a
very very, very very difficult team to be. You really
hope so, because in this season's been a lot of fun, man,
it really has. It's been. It's been a fun as

(38:22):
a foot just as a football fan to watch the
Buffalo Bills play, to watch Josh Allen play, to watch
uh this this, this coaching team do its thing, and
just seeing how it's all unfolding. Number one, it's extremely
entertaining to watch on TV. So as a football fan,
if you love that kind of football, doesn't matter who

(38:44):
you root for, you're watching these games because they're that
they're that good to watch.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
You're seeing a lot of things you you probably have
either not seen before or not seen in a very
long time. Right, right, to score more than forty points,
you should win, not.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
And that and that's why they fleck the Pats game
to four twenty five from one o'clock. Because not only that,
but the Buffalo Bills clearly you can check the Nielsen
ratings when they are on America's game of the week.
When they are on prime time, they get ratings. People

(39:19):
watch this team. They play good football, they play tough football,
they play flashy football. It's like it's like a mixture
of all the different sorts of football styles they've they've
somehow melded into one and you get a little of
everything in every Bills game.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
I mean, John, you were not kidding you. Look at
the Chiefs Bills there was thirty one point two million viewers.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
I believe last week was.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
Where was it here? I don't think we got that style.
I'll tell you that in just a minute here, but
I would have to imagine it twenty four Bills rams
was I think twenty four yeah million? I want to say,
I would have to imagine the Bills Lions got quite
a bit because there was that is and is still
a potential Super Bowl matchup. Both teams are completely very

(40:17):
good enough to you know, be in consideration for that.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
So oh, here you go.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Well with Bills, Lines, Eagles, Steelers going ahead to head,
CBX and Fox combined to draw nearly forty million viewers
in the four to twenty five window, with twenty three
point three million of those nearly forty million viewers watching
the Bills play the Lions.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Ah, so the the Sunday afternoon wars between CBS and
Fox Old Buffalo, we had one for the good guys. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
I don't know if we mentioned this, but I'll mention
it again. The Bills Chiefs game couple couple weeks ago
was the most watched non holiday NFL regular season games
since two thousand and seven. So again people are showing
up to watch the Buffalo Bills and rightfully, oh, you
got stuff like again. Christian Benford six total tackles, five
solo pass deflection of sack. It was his first career sack.

(41:07):
Linebacker Matt Mlano did hurt his groin and did leave
the game. Three total tackles, a quarterback hitting a fumble
recovery was his tenth career fumble recovery, moving Mlano into
sixth all time in franchise history with Fred Smerlis and
Phil Hanson. Here are the two big things about the game, John,
They got off the field against Detroit. They held Detroit
to six for thirteen on third down and again, as

(41:28):
mentioned in garbage time, Aaron Quinn on Twitter pointed out
that Buffalo's win probability per ESPN was ninety percent after
Greg Russo's sack of Jared Goff with twelve six left
in the third quarter. At John, that's literally almost a
full half of the game, said quote. A lot of
the production for the lines came in basically garbage time
when the Bills have a ninety percent or greater win probability.

(41:51):
This is why in situations like this, volume stats are
off in misleading because again Detroit had to play ketchup,
had to play ketchup, had to play ketchup. Win percentage
never dropped, the win probability never dropped. Yeah, well, it's
like they the Bills had the game in hand and
didn't need to continue.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
To go for the throat.

Speaker 3 (42:09):
They kept going out and scoring points, and again it
was the game was the game was relatively in hand
by the half. But again, you know, John, you played
it win the game.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
You play to win the game. That's why they take
the damn field. Why they take damn field.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
Now, before we wrap this up here, we'll give Tyler
bass his flowers. A fifty yard field goal he had
was the fifteenth of his career, breaking a tie with
Dan Carpenter at fourteen for the most by a Bills
kicker all time.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
You know what. Good for him? That's my thing with
Tyler Bass. Oh this season. Good for him because people
were ragging him. For you, in the beginning of the season,
they were ragging him, and then he starts, he's figured
it out. The team stepped by a man. Good for him.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
When you miss it, when you missed a field goal
that is shorter than a point after attempt.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Now we're not talking about that right now, though we
can talk about that fifty yard field goal he kicked. Hey, which,
by the way, Ryan, in case you didn't know, is
the fifteenth of his career, breaking it's high with Dan
Carpenter who had fourteen. Do you listen to the goddamn podcast?
I listened to the goddamn podcast. Not only do I
listen to the podcast, but I trust the podcast.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Thank you, because I just said that same line about
thirty seconds ago.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
Ah. Perfect, I think I knew that because I'm reading
along with you.

Speaker 3 (43:30):

Fifteenth fifteenth of his career, breaking a tie with and Carpenter.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
He had fourteen, but he he has fifteen now.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
Tyler Bass does bring a time with Dan Carpenter by
the most Buffalo kick of all time, the Unholy jack Wagon.
Chris Downey were around the NFL, take it away, Chris.

Speaker 1 (45:16):
Jesus christ I hate you.

Speaker 5 (45:18):
Thanks Ryan and John and now here as you're around
the NFL from week fifteen, we'll take a look at
the AFC and we'll just go down the playoff spots
as those have been established a little bit more here.
The Chiefs still holding on to that top seed easy
twenty one to seven win over the Cleveland Browns. Pretty

(45:39):
convincing effort in the win. Although Patrick Mahomes did get
hurt in the game, he did throw for two touchdown passes.
Jamis Winson threw for three picks and one hundred under
one hundred and fifty yards the Bills, as John and
Ryan have talked about, holding on to the number two
seed with now a one game lead as a previously

(46:00):
tied entering the week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Steelers
dropping their contest Sunday afternoon to the Philadelphia at Eagles
twenty seven to thirteen. After a seventeen thirteen halftime lead
for the Eagles, they scored ten in the second half,
shutting up the Steelers at home in Lincoln Financial Field

(46:20):
in Philly in the Battle of Pennsylvania to give the Bills,
you know, some cushion a one game lead here with
three left to play. The four seed Houston Texans sitting
at nine to five in the AFC South with a
twenty to twelve win over the Miami Dolphins, who with
the loss, the Dolphins are not eliminated quite yet, but

(46:43):
they're basically done. Their NFL dot Com playoff percentages at
seven percent and making the playoffs after the loss in
Houston now in the hunt teams that have not clinched
a wild card spot yet but are looking pretty good.
Baltimore Ravens sitting at the top wild card spots, saying
at nine to five second in the AFC North, thirty

(47:04):
five fourteen winners in the good Old Meadowlands over the
New York Giants the Broncos also sitting at nine and five,
thirty one to thirteen winners over their animal counterpart in
the Indianapolis Colts, and then the La Chargers are eight
and six. The game back of the Broncos and Ravens
for their respective wild card spots fall forty to seventeen

(47:27):
at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now on the
bubble for the AFC to the Indianapolis Colts a couple
games back six and eight, the Dolphins six and eight,
and the Bengals six and eight. You know, the Bengals
having a great year for Joe Burrow, but obviously their
defense just cannot hold it together. We'll see what happens
in the final two weeks. Two back with three to go,
looks like the AFC is all but set on their playoffs.

(47:51):
It's just a matter of seeding at this point. Looks
like the Chiefs again. You know, you hope the Bills
get there, but looks like the Chiefs with two games
with three to go. Can you know they need a
couple more wins, But you know, it looks like Buffalo
should be holding on to that second spot and focusing
on that as that's more likely now in the NFC.

(48:14):
The Lions, suffering their second loss at the hands of
the Bills, still the top spot. The Eagles, as we've
also talked about, beat the Steelers. The Vikings are the
other team that have clinched a playoff spot. They are
the first wild card team to clinch a spot. They
are twelve and two as well, with their win on
Monday Night Football over the Chicago Bears thirty to twelve.

(48:36):
The Lion's still with their tiebreaker over the Vikings, but
both teams at twelve and two, Vikings again taking up
the first wild card spot. As we go down the list,
here the Buccaneers sitting at first in the AFC or
excuse me, the NFC South again we talked about them earlier.
They win over the Chargers forty to seventeen. The Rams
now sit first in the NFC West and have that

(48:57):
four seed home field advantage for the first strown of
the playoffs that spot. Currently, they're sitting at eight and
six on the year, Packer's sitting at ten and four,
sitting at the sixth seed, and the seventh seed held
by the Commanders at nine to five, but lurking just
behind at the eight seed the Seahawks at eight and six,

(49:19):
who are also tied with the Rams for the NFC West.
The NFC West only having one team in right now,
saying with the NFC South as the Atlanta Falcons sit
at seven and seven, one game back of the Buccaneers
there in ninth the Cardinals also at seven and seven,
to third in the NFC West. There are a couple
of games back. Now looks like at least one of
their counterparts in the Seahawks and the Rams and the

(49:41):
Niners at six and eight look to be you know,
another game back, but probably out of it, not quite mathematically,
but for all intents and purposes there out of it.
Got three games left in the NFL regular season, three
weeks left, a whole bunch of days with games coming
up with the Christmas and New Year holidays. Here this

(50:02):
has been your round the NFL. We'll talk to you
next week, John, Ryan, back to you.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Thanks, Chris, appreciate that we're looking ahead now.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
John.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
I did want to mention uh with your with your
Tyler bass Dan Carpenter. I don't know what it is
you've got like Groundhog's take. I don't know what happened.
I want to mention because I'm looking at the stats here.
That miss within that miss on Sunday was the first
of his career in that range of twenty to twenty
nine yards. He was thirty eight for thirty eight, now

(50:30):
thirty eight for thirty nine.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
It's all good. That was a That miss was the
first of his career.

Speaker 3 (50:35):
The first of his career within the twenty to twenty
nine yard range. Yes, so he was, he was on
a recent until now.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Well you anyway, well you know the fifty yard field
goal was the fifteenth of his career. Yeah, I'm aware.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
Well for you, Tyler Bass, I feel like my head
has been kicked fifteen times over fifty yards at this point.
Looking ahead, John Week sixteen, the Bills versus the New
England Patriots. As you mentioned, this one was flexed to
four to twenty five on CBS, and boy is it
gonna be cold? First off, though, Buffalo this week activated

(51:08):
offensive lineman Tyland Grable from the ir releasing defensive end
Casey two Hill to make room. They signed wide receiver
Jalen Virgil on offensive lineman Will Clap to the practice
squad and release defensive end Camera Client A. Defensive tackle
Branson Dean from the practice squad on Tuesday. On Thursday,
the Bills announced that they had signed defensive end Casey
two the practice squad and released DT defensive tackle Elianku

(51:30):
from the practice squad. My favorite thing about will Clap
John is that every time someone posts a photo of
Sydney Sweeney on on Twitter, someone will post the will
Clap player card from NFL dot Com as one of
the comments, with no other context. Hmmm, because we'll will
clap them cheeks.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
John Ah, All right, sorry, I'm I'm old. I'm old,
and it's past my bedtime right now. Ryan, But yeah, okay,
very good. I get it now, and now.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
The next time I see it, I will share it
so you can lank you. It's okay, perfect. I appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (52:06):
Somewhere.

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Tyler Bass kicked another fifty yard field goal Buffalo's injuries.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
That would be his sixteenth of his career if he did.

Speaker 3 (52:12):
Thank you you can count. Looking at the injury report
here looks good for the Buffalo Bills. I mean Spencer
Brown with a neck injury, Foal Dwayne Carter, Mark Cooper,
Dalton Kincaid's good limited Rausseull Douglas with a knee. He
missed the game on Sunday, but they did say he
did say he's playing tomorrow. Hammond limited with a rib again,

(52:35):
Taylor Rap limited with a neck injury. We'll have to
see how that plays out later this week. Matt Milano
also limited with a bicep which obviously because you know,
he tore his bicep and is coming back from it
and a growin injury. Will see how that develops. But again,
the only real crazy one here was Dian Dawkins, who
was excused for a personal reason on Thursday because well,
a plane crashed in his backyard of one of his properties.

(52:56):
So that's a pretty pretty good reason to not come
to work.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
But I wouldn't blame him.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
On Sunday afternoon, the Buffalo Bills will debut a new
uniform combination, which Josh Allen may have potentially had a
part in playing to make this happen because they were
wearing it in the in the preseason in the training
camp and he said, this looks really good. The Bills
are gonna wear red jerseys with white pants, red sox,
and a white helmet. This is not the first time
the team has worn red jerseys. That is the team's

(53:23):
color rush not only worn with red pants. This year, however,
the red jerseys we be worn with the team's typical
white pants, which again makes it a new uniform combination.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
I think I need to see it live, like I
need to see it on TV before I could truly
determine whether or not, because I like we had we
had a very very interesting conversation earlier in the week
when when the uniform news came out. We were talking
about the different buffalo bills, uniform combos and things like that,
and ones that we we tend to gravitate too. And
I mentioned the old the old school Joe Ferguson era ones,

(53:56):
which predated the Kelly ones in terms of the the
helmet was. It was still the same unis as the
Kelly era ones, but the helmet was the white helmet.
It wasn't the red one. They only made the change
to the helmet, I think because it might have been
Ferguson was color blind and that was the issue. I

(54:16):
don't know if it was Ferguson or somebody else, but
that was the story of why they went from the
white helmet to the red helmet. But I always like
was very partial to that. So when they changed from
those terrible I'm sorry. Ryan. I know you and I
know you have an affinity for the blood cell era uniforms,
but I hated those. When they changed back to the
uniforms that they have now, I was like, that's the

(54:36):
closest thing to the Ferguson era ones that I've seen,
and those are cool. So I'm partial to the blue,
the red, the red shirts. You know, color Rush is
one thing, but I have to see this live.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
And looking one thing I did want to find, but
it got away from me this week, understandably because.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
What was it, because it's been a crazy week.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Really we're at looking at what jersey, what records the
Bills have by jersey combination, and it really it really
looks like, let's see here. I know the color Rush jersey,
the red jerseys are a a a hit for the Bills.

(55:21):
They are very successful with those jerseys when they wear them.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
I know that.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
Let's see here. They played the Rams. They went white,
blue and white, which white blue and white. They lost,
So they're six and one there, maybe seven and one
if that's what they wore in Detroit. ID have to
double check that. But when they go all white.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
They lost. We'll look into it. We'll get back.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
Well, we'll put a pin in that and we'll maybe
maybe Chris can spend some time looking into it as
our unpaid intern for giving him.

Speaker 1 (55:51):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (55:52):
We don't give him any money anyways.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
We just give him hardship and we give we give
him love. We don't even pay for therapy. We're we
we love, we love you, Chris. It's all good, Yeah,
we do. And apologies to U, to mister and missus Downey,
of course for Ryan's potty mouth earlier.

Speaker 3 (56:11):
I mean it's I've I've been better in the past
few weeks, but now I start I got them steroids
rolled through my body, man, and I'm feeling I'm terrorizing
over here.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
You know, I'm glad. I'm glad, Yeah, terrorizing there.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
I'm not gonna rip my shirt off though, like Hull
Covid though, because I'm not a racist.

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Well yeah, I was more thinking you're not going to
be playing Major League baseball anytime soon because you get
popped for a test.

Speaker 3 (56:35):
But it's actually pretty funny you mentioned that, because obviously,
once I started taking Riddlin for my ADHD, I realized
that my performance on MLB The Show twenty twelve improved,
and I said, I are you.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
Still playing twenty twelve?

Speaker 3 (56:49):
Still dog on your old PlayStation. I've I've got it.
I'm I'm over a thousand home runs. I've got almost
thirty six hundred hits. I'm about to say I've got
like two thousand stolen Basis Brown every I'm about to
be the greatest player all time.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Okay, geez man, a thousand home runs, I already put
you there.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
I think then we're going to Viking funeral it and
we're just never going to play again.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
That's that's what I do. I actually I play. I
will play MLB the Show on like the easy level,
and I'll set all the records by season three, and
then I'll be done. And then I won't play there
until MLB The Show twenty six.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
I think my batter's career batting averages like five oh
four right now, and I'm bat in like six twenty.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
Sixth this season. That's awesome.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
The New England Patriots three and eleven, not batting six
twenty six anyway. Fourth in the AFC East last week
a thirty to seventeen loss to the Arizona Cardinals, which
brings their losing streak to four games. Drake May looking
like he's got some potential talent here eighteen hundred and
ninety at passing yards, twelve touchdowns, nine picks with three
hundred and fifty nine rushing yards and tw rushing touchdowns

(57:54):
and ten games. ESPN matchup predictor eighty two and a
half percent of America Blues Buffalo so their twelfth winner
of the season against the lowly New England Patriots. This
is an old school knockdown, drag out trap game in
my opinion, because again they play the Patriots. This is
the first time that the Patriots and Bills have played
the season. They played two out of the next three

(58:15):
with only three games remaining in the season. So it's
the Patriots, the Jets, the Patriots. I mean, if if
the Bills don't just completely will clap the cheeks of
the New England Patriots. Man, I I don't know. I
think it's gonna be. This is gonna be a money

(58:38):
Mitch fourth quarter kind of game in my opinion, If
Yeah are not good, I would I would agree And
let me say, how god damn good does it feel
to say in the same sentence. The New England Patriots
are not good.

Speaker 5 (58:54):
They are dog water.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Yeah yeah, yeah. It's it's nice to to not have
to hear Patriots fans boast about how great things are.
You know. I'm used to Bills fans doing that because
I live in the damn area.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
And now they're now they're just literally talking about how
because again I follow enough people for the for the
Red Sox, so during the year you get the Patriots
stuff too.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
Yeah, have them talk about like.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
This franchise is in disarray, they have the rock bottom
yet I'm like, bro, go look good.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
Go look at one Jets Drive if you want to
see a freaking franchise. No, man, I love I was.
I was scrolling through I can't remember if it was
Facebook or Threads, but no, it must have been Threads,
and it was somebody that said, I don't care how
how well the bills do. I'm still gonna write this

(59:47):
in the lawn or something, and it was like a
snowy lawn and it's it was perfectly written. I hate
the Patriots, that dude. It's like they said, they don't
care how good the bills are. They're always gonna hate
the pay.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
It's a different special level of hate. When they are
bad and they're supposed to lose, and then they do lose,
you don't feel bad because, again, I spent all of
my childhood in my young adulthood watching Tom Brady just
come into town and do whatever he wanted to the
Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely so.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Frankly, I don't give a damn and I'm loving every
minute of it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Tough titty said a tough, tough, tough titty said the kitty,
but the milk was good. I think that's what I
was trying to say. I don't know. It's fucking late, dude.
That's all right, Sorry? That is that a Robert Kraft joke?
Is that? Well? Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I I
although I did hear that. I did, though, I did
hear that Robert Kraft, before considering Drake May was checking

(01:00:51):
Madden ratings and was looking into possibly acquiring to Sean
Watson for his handiness.

Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Yes, although you know what, credit where credits due. We
didn't talk about this in the podcast because this is
the Bills, but kudos kudos to Robert Kraft and the
level of just petty When the Dodgers won the World
Series at Yankee Stadium. Robert Kraft let the Dodgers borrow

(01:01:19):
the Patriots plane to fly home.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
That's funny, It's just perfect. That's funny. That's very funny.
But John, even though I'm a Yankees fan, that's very funny.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Hey, I love it, man, I love pettiness.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
It's amazing, John, Who you got? What? What do you got?
Circles the wagons like the Buffalo bills? Was that it was?
That was the call for Boomer. I was asking, Yeah,
it can be Boomer. I asked, who do you think?
Who'd you think? What do you think about the game
this weekend? Oh, for the love of God, I already

(01:01:53):
said it was gonna be just I agreed with you.
It was gonna be probably a Mitch money Mitch fourth
quarter bill by a lot, build by a lot, a lot,
like I I a lot. They're gonna, they're gonna, They're
gonna win this one easily.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
For John Somino and Chris Downey.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
I am Ryan Wolf. As always, we are trust the podcast.
You are not.

Speaker 3 (01:02:17):
We will catch you, same time, same place next week.
The week of I always forget Christmas is Jesus' birthday?

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Is that right? Something like that. I always get it
mixed up.

Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
I'm always like, happy Birthday Jesus on Easter and people
are like, no, this is when he died.

Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
I'm like, I don't, I don't know. Hard to keep up.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Damn well, I'm not well studied outside of sports.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
But yeah, but yes we are. Trust the podcast. You
are not, you are not.

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
I hope everybody has a safe, happy, healthy holiday, whatever
you celebrate, whether it's Christmas, Merry Christmas, Kwanza, quansa, happy
chanooka to those who celebrate.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
Ah, yes, chanooka. That one popped up this week and
I forget. I keep forgetting about it, and I keep
and I keep lighting up every time I'm reminded.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
So the happy happy Chanooka.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
I'm not sure what chanooka is, but I hope it
celebrates you, beautiful legend you.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
But as always, thank you for tuning in. We will
catch you, same time, same place next week.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
